LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Unsocial Media by CreativeWhisper 2017-12-09T18:49:02Z

Awesome take on the theme!

I had to battle with Unity layouts this jam as well, so I can understand the resolution problems. It's really not designed for this kind of thing :D

I didn't quite understand the difference between the different kinds of media. So I always opted for writing a post because it had the shortest path to the next menu :D Not entirely sure if it's intentionally becoming ridiculously fast but it certainly added to the experience. In the end I was struggling to post anything and stopped caring what I was posting.

Steam Paralysis by Nammflow 2017-12-05T07:27:51Z

Awesome take on the theme. I love that you literally get paralysed by owning too many unplayed games. This hits very close to home :D

Octopode embrace by ThiefViolinist 2017-12-09T18:12:16Z

The game crashed several times for me with something along the lines of: "Failed to call 'setPosition' on 'PannerNode'. The provided float value is not finite." (Maybe dividing by 0?)

When it didn't crash it was actually a really cool experience. The graphics are super cool and I liked the tactical element of the tower and navigating around islands to avoid pirates. It is a really hard game since the pirates do lot of damage and there doesn't seem to be a way to regain health. Would be nice if your weapon was a bit more powerful. Also a nice background music track would go a long way.

SUPER COP HERO by Finlal 2017-12-09T21:33:31Z

Awesome game! Graphics and sound are outstanding!

This game is really hard or I am just getting too old :D Had to turn it to easy mode (thanks for the option btw). Took me some time to figure out that rolling makes you invulnerable and that spam shooting is actually viable. The take on the theme is interesting but does not seem to be a major game mechanic but more a nice gimmick.

That said, this is one of my favorites this jam so far :)

42 Lightyears by testlab 2017-12-09T18:33:17Z

The mood that this game set was incredible. It really felt like being alone in open space. The little speech bubbles were nice touch.

It would be nice if you could actually win the game. I played until I reached 42, which would be fitting ending given the name ;)

At first I was struggling a bit and thought it would be quite random until I realized that I can just stop anywhere to heal and that not mining is an actual option. Quite some depth for a single input game. The game could be a bit faster paced or give you more to do while flying. Maybe just let us control what to repair first. Could be hard to keep this eerie mood though.

Company harder project by falak 2017-12-09T17:36:28Z

Pretty cool concept and awesome music. The game was a bit confusing at first. Knowing what is actually clickable and how the different actions affect your scores would be really helpful. The minigames are a nice touch and are very innovative for a manager game. Keep it up!

Santa's Factory by SaraMartins 2017-12-09T20:44:36Z

Cool little game. I have only played the jam version yet, but might give the updated one a go as well. As others have already stated, there are a couple of technical issues, But they don't really take away from the game.

I liked the modd it was setting with the music and the overall presentation!

This would be amazing in VR ;)

Cat Clicker by Mr.MadCat 2017-12-09T19:08:58Z

Amazing game and great take on the theme! Loved the humor and especially all the cat related puns. The childish giggling actually made me laugh :D

The quest rewards were maybe a bit too generous. Made it quite easy to get to 75k. Selling cats wasn't really a source of income and more for getting rid of the cats. Great use of the music for indicating that you need to take care of something!

Jenny & the Guy by Sunzed 2017-12-09T20:32:04Z

What a lovely game. On my first playthrough I went bankrupt but had an amazing time and on my second run the game glitched out at the shareholders meeting.

The money values seemed a bit arbitrary and of course the decisions were a bit overly simplified but it served the purpose of telling this wonderful story :)

The unusual aspect ratio was also nice touch, although I would have loved to see more of the beautiful artwork which was covered up most of the time. Well I guess you don't get to enjoy the beautiful things as much when working all the time ;) Oh and the section about loot boxes actually made me laugh :D

Super Trader 64 by WildGamut 2017-12-09T20:06:03Z

Wow, incredibly polished for an LD game.

Unfortunately I accidentally closed the game while trading after 20 minutes or so. But it was great fun until that point, although it really started feeling samey since there were no more new items introduced and I had no idea how much trading I still had to do to get the yarn. Seeing what you will get in return from each trader would be really helpful, so you could start building trading chains in your head. The shuffling around in your bag was not really all that helpful, I basically resorted to the auto-shuffle all the time since it was too hard to reach anything specific.

This is a very innovative concept and I would love seeing this one extended into a full game with some better feeling of progression :)

Armed Descent by Acr515 2017-12-09T21:16:32Z

Really enjoyable game! The controls are super slick!

The theme felt a little tacked on because there was no real reason or explanation why ammo reduces your health and since you actually need the ammo, there is no real choice there.

Other than this minor gripe, it is really good!

Cthulhu Writer by BjarkeAL 2017-12-10T14:58:15Z

Interesting take on the theme. The dark mood was really well building up. I kind of missed an intro to the game which would give me a motivation to play it. Everything was quite cryptic but it fitted the genre quite well. I enjoyed the art style and creepy noises :)

LD42 — Running out of space

I'm TOTALLY not a clicker! by maartene 2018-08-16T19:23:19Z

The title is a lie! Fun clicker game :) Lacking a bit in theme but making up for it in presentation.

Green Slime Apocalypse by PavelDlouhy 2018-08-16T19:09:32Z

Wow what great minimalistic style but so polished. I loved the music and audio cues. Would have loved to play for a little longer or at least move during the credits :D Keep it up, great job!

BIO-EX-DEUS by Joror 2018-08-26T12:27:45Z

Wow I really like this one. Was hoping for some more scenarios or sandbox mode. I would love to see the civilisations unfold on a larger area or timescale. Also some iconography would help a lot in remembering the different traits of the species. Such a cool concept and watching them fight over the lands is awesome! Great job :)

Brain's little symbiont by Local Minimum 2018-08-26T11:27:44Z

Very educational! :D Cool art style but could use some music and sound effects.

Hovertank 42: Modern Wall-fare by Thought Reactor 2018-08-15T17:34:55Z

Good controls and quite challenging

Mitosis by Zirrrus 2018-08-26T11:50:32Z

Cool take on the theme. I like that you have to keep mutations in mind when making you move. It would be great if the game had some kind of winning condition. I go 1890 points in my try, I'm gonna count that as a win :D

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T17:29:40Z

Really cool take on the theme. Quite unique and fun to play. Really like it :)

W a l l i f o r n i c a t i o n by psychead 2018-08-26T12:03:45Z

Incredible game for an LD entry! Very polished and uses the theme very well. I was very surpised by the amount of content this game offers already. Great job!

Cartoon Tactics by Jiri Hysek 2018-08-26T11:41:22Z

Definitely a very ambitious project for the compo and congrats on shipping it :) I enjoy the overall presentation especially the funny sounds the units make. The gameplay aspect is unfortunately a bit lacking as it mostly ends up just colliding in the middle and the shrinking not really mattering all that much. Would be great to see some more use of the terrain and other ways of attacking like setting traps. Overall still a really good entry!

Drown Drown Revolution by Sibi 2018-08-26T17:54:39Z

@local-minimum You probably encountered the second lose condition which happens when your score gets too far into the negatives. This is to prevent the tactic of just spamming to hit every arrow. I agree we should have put some clarification in for that one but it was just a quick hack ^^

Leaving Room by LastLeaf 2018-08-26T10:17:25Z

Lovely game. Simple but emotional. The ending was a bit abrupt but otherwise great job!

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-16T19:01:18Z

Innovative little entry. Could use some polish and especially sound. Hope it was a great learning experience :)

Mars Web by RyanJavanshir 2018-08-15T19:32:11Z

Ha I finally beat it! The generators took me way too long just because of a typo  Awesome experience! Would have liked some quality of life improvements like copy paste and no case sensitivity. Also getting the feedback that the command is invalid was a bit confusing at first. But overall really great! Didn't plan on spending this much time on it but it had me hooked :)

LD45 — Start with nothing

Start with no dice by Listonos 2019-10-10T17:23:44Z

I just love these kinds of games! Cool take on the theme! I would love some more variety in the different dice and I think you could merge the buy and skill phase into one to make it a bit smoother. Also I got stuck in an endless game because I didn't buy any trashcans and the AI refused to end the game (probably because it was losing)

L.D. Noire by karlipoppins 2019-10-22T08:15:01Z

What a great game, especially for the compo! The graphics were lovely and the music fits the mood very well. The controls were a bit finicky unfortunately and I had to look up the walkthrough sometimes because I didn't notice some things which were interactable (like the ladder). Would be great to get some more hints inside the game like being able to examine your inventory. Still an overall strong entry!

World Not Found by TheGamer1123211 2019-10-10T17:04:39Z

Awesome game! I love these kinds of first person puzzlers and especially the hacker vibes!

Survivor Slots by PeachTreeOath 2019-10-22T11:11:55Z

What an awesome idea! I love these kinds of games, reminds me a bit of the card game Friday. I managed to escape on day 11, so not sure how the game plays afterwards but it looked to me like it would have gotten much harder the longer you play. The only thing which got a bit cumbersome was having to count how many moves away I am from purchasing something (especially to win the game). I would love to see the concept be turned into a full game!

Over The Threshold by redcubegames 2019-10-10T18:00:23Z

What a great atmosphere! I was totally engulfed in decorating my home! The only thing taking me out of the relaxing experience was the constant door noise and waiting for the screen to pan. I think I discovered a small bug: I wasn't able to access the top left room anymore at some point. Also would have loved to place items on tables instead of throwing everything on the floor :D Is it possible to get the monologue separately? I feel like I missed some deeper meaning while running through my house. Also you have an incredible voice :)

Punch Punch Farm! by Andreadbx 2019-10-10T19:14:06Z

Awesome graphics! Didn't even notice the drops until quite far into the game. It got a little repetitive punching bananas in the end but didn't overstay its welcome. Would be cool if the lower value items had some use later into the game.

Start with Muffin by Sibi 2019-10-09T19:35:44Z

@jelch Thanks for your feedback! I've finally added a description to this game including a hint for level 2. I hope that it's helpful to you and that you give our game another shot :)

El Schmuggelos ΓΌber des Grenzos by Slowline 2019-10-10T16:20:42Z

Awesome looking game with smooth controls :) It was a bit too difficult for me. Especially the last part of the maze. Would be nice if you had a way to get the guards off of you without losing everything and having to start over. Also didn't notice the catapult at first. Overall still a really enjoyable time!

Drifter Mall by Sergio1811 2019-10-10T16:38:45Z

Very fun game! The controls were a bit weird in the beginning but I guess that's to be expected of a shopping cart :D Would have been nice if the cart got emptied and the guards got up again when you bought some clothes. This way it was a bit easy once the enemies were knocked out. Also I discovered that I could just grind along the shelves and collect loads of money without having to fiddle with the bats (which were flying all over the place). Really loved the animations and just causing mayhem in a store :)

Little one by Asue 2019-10-22T10:26:26Z

Love the concept and enjoyed my time with this game! Could use some more variety in things to encounter to make exploration a little more rewarding. Thanks for making this :)

Nitchs the tank by AlphaDen 2019-10-10T18:11:46Z

Unique take on the theme! Unfortunately I got stuck in level 3 with all the tanks destroyed. I love the simplicity while still being interesting. Could use some sound though ;)

UNNAMED - Start with nothing by Papa Poncho 2019-10-10T13:40:00Z

Awesome entry especially for a compo! Maybe add the control scheme to your game description. Took me a while to figure it out. Really love the mechanics as they made my mind go crazy with the possibilities that they open up. I was quite sad when the game was already over after a couple of levels!

Nothin' To Muffin by SP3sheep 2019-10-10T18:42:33Z

Yay another muffin game!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Triage by phi 2020-04-23T21:15:46Z

Wow that was a lot of fun! Lovely graphics and great dark humor!

JarHeads by Aurel300 2020-04-29T18:11:51Z

My brain hurts a little :D Impressive character design and sounds especially for a compo!

Nothing to Z Here by cakemonitor 2020-04-22T19:47:27Z

What a great little story! The tutorial was a brilliant idea. Still took me a couple deaths before figuring out that I got eaten by my friend :D Good choices on the models and music! My only complaints would be that the whistles were a bit annoying and that the timing was quite tricky with the timer on the Zombie.

Virus by mikel 2020-04-24T06:55:04Z

Oh I didn't expect it to be this puzzly based on the screenshots but I like it! Took me a bit to long to figure the movers out. A different kind of projectile would have been more intuitive than the double shot. The chain reactions were awesome though!

Food Chuck by PeachTreeOath 2020-04-22T19:23:30Z

Great game! Awesome models and overall fantastic atmosphere! Got a bit overwhelmed by the variety of food items and the onslaught of customers. Love the announcer for the different items!

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-24T06:19:14Z

Amazing game! Very unique mechanics and lovely art style. Would love to see this game continued!

Tablet Force by AdamV 2020-04-29T07:05:02Z

Really great mood that you're setting with the lights and music! The level design could use some work as I found myself lost sometimes. Or is that intentional? I've never had any real issues keeping the battery or my character alive, so maybe think about increasing the difficulty. I really liked running around and hacking every sentry to drain them :D

Chicken Shuffle by helpcomputer 2020-04-24T06:30:44Z

Great graphics and animations! The gameplay felt a bit spammy after a while since I couldn't really figure out a good strategy. I would have liked to see multiple levels which get progressively harder and give you a concrete goal. This would have helped to grasp the systems better and have more of a feeling of accomplishment. Still a really cool minigame!

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-24T06:37:16Z

Great artstyle! I feel like I've seen this style before but can't remember where. I think a steeper progression curve and more upgrades would have helped to feel even more powerful. I was kinda hoping for more crazy numbers and carnage in good old clicker fashion. But thanks to the awesome voiceover I still felt compelled to play until everything was maxed out :)

Get the Barky Started by Sibi 2020-04-22T19:09:32Z

@peachtreeoath Thanks for the kind words! We just wanted to try something a bit different with 2D art this time and also our team composition was slightly different. We'll probably go back to 3D though for future jams :D

Healer of Elric by FancyReckless 2020-04-24T07:26:11Z

Nice take on the idle genre! I think you could've done without the fireballs to stay completely in the support realm. The most challenging task was remembering what all the items do and finding enough space in my inventory to put them all.

Kaoamaru Kaiju by SplitPainter 2020-04-30T19:34:34Z

Brilliant PS1 era graphics! This definitely hit the nostalgia spot! Unfortunate that you didn't manage to finish the mechanics in time for the jam but it's still a nice experience and proof of concept. Would love to see more of these types of experimental games on here :)

Trail Blazer by Teo Yong Jie 2020-04-24T07:10:29Z

Wow that was challenging! The controls are very responsive and sometimes a bit unforgiving. At some point I opted to just try climbing the side of blocks to shortcut the jumping puzzles :D

Guide Ur Human by Avzgui 2020-04-23T21:23:12Z

I really like the graphics and the humor! Still not sure what barking actually does and for some reason that dude seems magically attracted by the sewer :D Would have loved to see some more varied levels and maybe some more traffic to make the streets actually dangerous.

MitosiVilization by Olivier Millochau 2020-04-24T06:58:55Z

Nice strategy game :) On my first playthrough I didn't fully understand what to do and didn't expect my little monster to just be beaten to death if they don't have a sword. I almost recovered but was always playing catch-up with the enemies. Would have like to be able to quickly restart once I know that I failed. Once I got a good supply of food going the game really got fun. Unfortunately it ended quite abruptly with the goal of having 20 monsters. Would have liked to keep going and just grow my colony.

Ghost Ship (Jam Edition) by Dylan Fries 2020-04-24T07:08:07Z

Very eerie atmosphere! Loved the cinematic nature of the "cutscenes". The camera was unfortunately a bit wacky which made controlling the ship accurately quite difficult. Some cues to help with the depth perception would also have gone a long way to prevent me from failing over and over :D Are you actually able to reach those floating blue particles up in the sky? At least that's what I was aiming for but never had even close to enough fuel

Keep It Alive by Ismael Rodriguez - Ludum Dare 46 by Ismael Rodriguez 2020-04-29T06:43:13Z

My favorite game of the jam so far! It has a very polished feel and I love the "story"! Took me a couple tries at first to understand that I could pause him directly as well. But with the checkpoint placement and quick respawns it was very easy to play around an figure things out!

Friendly Fire by very dark lord 2020-04-29T16:29:32Z

Wow that was a brilliant experience! Definitely the best story telling I've seen this jam. I loved the characters and the plot twist was amazing! Thanks for not making this a difficult platformer so I got to experience all of it :)

Disscovid by Yusuf Tunç 2020-04-24T07:29:35Z

Good first steps towards an endless runner. As others have mentioned I agree that the game should be a bit more challenging and varied. Just adding some different kinds of obstacles and making the game fast would help a lot. I like the animations and the environment that you created.

The Dragon's Curse by Aditya Kumar 2020-04-29T16:59:15Z

Impressiive scope and writing for a jam game! I somehow managed to get my satchels into the negatives by buying a wagon I couldn't afford after burning my old one (woops). Really liked the mood that the game conveyed. For more replayability it would be great to have some icons or imagery together with the text. Reading all of it again can become quite boring even with this awesome writing style ;)

The Wizard Gardener by Crazybot 2020-04-22T20:21:37Z

I like the magical approach to this! But it was very difficult to get started. Especially the left/right button confused me for a while since the tutorial was telling me the wrong one. It would be great if it was easier to hit the plant with the water or at least get some kind of indicator. Once I got the hang of it, it became much more enjoyable!

Stem by Fnkee 2020-04-29T06:52:17Z

Great little minigame! Took some getting used to the controls but then it got really fun! It would be nice to get more feedback on the cloud collection. Maybe make them poof away. Add some music and show the highscore to the player and you've got an addicting game on your hands!

Happy Life by scalliondelight 2020-04-24T06:24:55Z

Such a great social commentary! Took me a couple of tries to fully grasp everything that I had to do but finally managed to keep my toy and marriage alive and didn't even get fired :D

The Last Guardian by civmaniac 2020-04-29T17:12:21Z

I love the exploratory aspect of figuring out how to use the clouds. It was a great feeling making your army of cacti! Would have loved to unlock some more powers over time or have some other more direct way of fighting of the hordes.

Protectors Of The Core by Dryden 2020-04-24T07:22:52Z

Sweet minigame with nice graphics. It got a bit repetitive though and I would have liked some more powerups. It felt like the best strategy was just just wiggling around as some constellations of objects were very difficult to block accurately.

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-04-30T19:26:58Z

Squashing those bugs was oddly satisfying. You did a great job with the visuals and sound effects there! I got to 9985 until accidentally touching a ladybug :(

Keep Pit Alive! by BunnyDen 2020-04-29T16:48:02Z

Love the graphics and animations! Pit definitely has a lot of character! I found the deaths to be a bit unforgiving and unforseen. Would have really liked to have some kind of health system and quicker respawns or even checkpoints.

Melody's Forest by Kisilin 2020-04-24T07:03:46Z

Cute little game with a soothing atmosphere. The text in-between levels was a bit slow and I accidentally skipped one. Some kind of goal or payoff for collecting all the sounds would have been great (like playing back all the notes as a song to keep with the theme of spreading them away afterwards)

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Squeaky Affair by bmacintosh 2021-05-02T13:47:12Z

Outstanding puzzle game! The way that the culprit was revealed in the end was amazing and felt completely natural. Would love to see this expanded with more of these outside the box thinking moments!

Dig the socials by badabooom63 2021-05-02T12:06:25Z

What a brilliant game! I enjoyed every moment of it! Please make a longer version and I will gladly pay money for it. I just love the cross between traditional crime investigation game and almost ARG! Amazing job! I just would have like to be able to copy from the text messages.

Tall Tales by Octopoid 2021-05-02T14:13:50Z

That was quite an enjoyable and calming experience. Nice twist on the theme although I would have loved to see it all escalate a bit more and to get trapped in my lies. I didn't feel deep enough once it all ended. The voice acting and the face animations were both top notch and really made it all feel alive.

Past the Final Frontier by towergame 2021-05-02T11:47:25Z

Awesome retro visuals! Unfortunately I couldn't make it past Jupiter. Had everything upgraded to Tier 5 (and even one to the elusive tier 6) but it still told me that I didn't have the means to go to any new planet. Would have loved to conquer the rest of our solar system even though it started to get a bit repetitive and I think we now might have a lot of garbage on the moon :D

Encephaloexcavation by OffDutyExtractors 2021-05-02T11:09:27Z

Really cool game! I truly love the particle effects, especially when falling down into a new room! The light really adds a lot to the atmosphere and the enemy variety is quite impressive. I would have liked some quality of life improvements such as just pointing in a direction to dig instead of having to click the exact block. Also a little reload indicator could have saved me twice :D Overall an really strong entry!

LD49 — Unstable

Ice Moon by LTyrosine 2021-10-13T16:49:36Z

Wow that vehicle is truly unstable! The cockpit was really well done and transported you nicely into this world. I would've loved to have at least a little more power or control (even through a more powerful rocket) from the beginning as it felt very punishing just being thrown around by every tiny bump. I know that it's supposed to be a major part of the game but I think it could've done with a little more chaos by overshooting rather than not being able to climb up an incline and just falling back down. Still a really unique entry with an impressive atmosphere and graphics :)

Unstable Way Home by limered 2021-10-11T19:38:19Z

Really lovely graphics and super fun voice lines! The controls were a bit fiddly but that's probably just realistic for the level of drunkenness. Also quite an odd choice of controls, any particular reason?

Perhaps a Friend? by Local Minimum 2021-10-13T17:03:54Z

I love the art style and the bizarro storyline! But getting any sort of not completely random movement at more than a snails pace felt impossible. But I have to admit I also always sucked at any QWOP like game. Could've done with some nice music to help with the frustration :D

The Witch Exam by puppetmaster 2021-10-08T22:46:14Z

I'm so happy to see so many great cauldron-centric games! Fun combination of image and text riddles. The graphics were lovely and the sound effects tied it all together. As a non-native speaker I was actually struggling a bit with which word you mean by each object which got layered with the difficulty of guessing the word that had to be created. So I was glad I still made it and can now finally call myself an official witch!

SIRTET by Aggrathon 2021-10-08T21:18:03Z

Cool idea and fits the theme perfectly! The physics can be a bit unforgiving at times and I had learn that "R" resets the level the hard way  Keep it up :)

Factowery by demogorgon 2021-10-13T18:49:47Z

I've spent more time than I care to admit on this! Really fascinating game. The clockwise / counter-clockwise part was still a bit confusing to me. Building in a tight space was really difficult as all the resources just mixed with each other and I would have loved to have some filters. Also a way to visualize all the different settings of each field would have helped with setting up the pipelines. For 12h this is already incredibly detailed and well balanced! Would love to see this game continued :)

You won't believe your result from this personality test! by allthebees 2021-10-13T21:37:29Z

Not exactly sure what I just played or if I even played it. But nonetheless I seem to be a QWOPPER and have now shared this with a friend of mine.

SEXY BOOBY 95 by silkworm_sweatshop 2021-10-13T18:10:11Z

Nice short experience! And I love the clickbait! Surfree might as well be its own entry, very addictive

Hiding Heisenbugs by ultrarat 2021-10-08T22:05:43Z

Cool proof of concept! Looks like you've run into a bit of feature creep with all these different conditions. It was fun figuring out which piece must go where. Some more visual indication of the rules would have been helpful. Had to re-read the rules quite often to remember which one was which. Unfortunately I couldn't find any meta instability, so I guess there's room for improvement :D

Cannot Wake Up by xUMR 2021-10-13T19:45:08Z

Couldn't wake up but got to experience the eerie mood. I count that as a win

Sky Burns Red by nardandas 2021-10-08T21:38:54Z

Wow that was quite the experience. Would have never thought that you can twist a rhythm game this way. It really felt like a live performance where I had to improvise, fix my mistakes and react to the audience. It's so different to other rhythm games were you just try to imitate the song as best as possible. Here I felt like I could give it my own spin and was at the edge of my seat waiting for those beats. Truly an awesome game even for someone like me who is really bad at the traditional rhythm games.

LIFT-UP MACHINE (nightly version) by Avzgui 2021-10-13T21:07:39Z

Wow that was great! Didn't expect this game to take such a turn. But I am glad that I stuck with it to the end. Reminds me somehow of games like frog fractions. Very unusual aspect ratio but I think it fits the unusual game :) Maybe only complaint I have is that there could be a bit more of a game to it ;)

The ApprenDice by ChuChuGeralt 2021-10-07T20:52:39Z

Hey @achef122 @ivanpavlov thanks for playing our game and your feedback! We knew that this game might be a bit complex without a more detailed explanation. But unfortunately work and sleep got in the way :( We've now added a bit of a description that should help in understanding the game. We would really appreciate it if you could give the game another shot and let us know if anything is still unclear <3

H2G0 by HarveyU 2021-10-08T22:16:05Z

Wheeee... I love the sliding mechanic! The theme unfortunately feels a bit shoehorned in and I'm not entirely sure why I only get wet by using an umbrella. oO But the sliding action really makes me forget about those issues (until it comes to an abrupt end by a stray fire) And thanks for putting the platform icons on the cover image to help figure out if I can play it!

UNSTABLE DREAMS by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2021-10-09T09:55:29Z

Awesome unique aesthetics! I think standing still during the balancing part could have been used to further stabilize. And I would have loved to have some balancing elements during the boss fights. Overall very solid entry and tells a nice little finished sotry.

Unstable Concoction by Blueberry_Mauro 2021-10-08T22:29:13Z

Games with cauldrons ftw! Not sure I fully understood the rules though but I was still having a great time trying to lob ingredients in and wondering why everything was suddenly bread :D

OverCauldron - Lonely industrial stories across the hearth by bloodycoin 2021-10-08T21:51:36Z

Yay we need more cauldron-based potion-brewing game! Sometimes I couldn't grab the ingredients because I was too quick for the game. Also I would love to have some more progression over time like unlocking new ingredients. Got a score of 7039! I hope that's good :D

Interrupted Gameplay by SuperGamersGames 2021-10-07T22:53:18Z

What a great game! Unfortunately I wasn't able to beat the boss but I still enjoyed my time. I love all the little touches to make it really feel like an unstable connection. Super polished and fun to play.

POTIOMNESIA by pepnou 2021-10-13T15:57:10Z

Wow that was a lot of fun! I had some difficulty understanding the game at first but once I got the hang of how to take samples and do experiments I started to feel like a real mad scientist. Some more tips on how to disarm each potion after figuring out which one it is would be great. I could consistently identify the potion within 3 samples but then struggled to do anything but to pour it down the drain or to just hide it under the bed and hope for the best :D Also the tune rocks!

Toy Tactics by JoeShanahan 2021-10-13T17:28:56Z

Wow what an ambitious project for a jam! Really impressed by the amount of content you were able to press into this. Great tutorial levels to introduce all the elements. Took me a couple of tries to not fly to space with the jetpack. The bomb was definitely my favorite weapon with the added element of destroying the environment. The positioning didn't all that important as the AI was quite stumped in a lot of situations anyway and shooting from behind cover didn't work as well as I was hoping. Would have really liked to play on a bigger level with more players. I think this has all the elements to be extended into a full-blown game especially with these lovely little toy soldiers!

Emily vs the Unstable Creatures by JPatchZ 2021-10-08T20:33:47Z

The level of polish in this game is insane! I love these progressive powerup games and I can definitely see this becoming a full fledged mobile game. The dialogue system is so nice and clean and the character have a lot of charm. Keep up the great work and good luck on the full version!

Unstablium by rubenwardy 2021-10-13T20:37:42Z

I love the visual representation of the bullet holes! The best strategy seemed to be pedal-to-the-metal and just rush through.

Rolling Home by memoryFloater 2021-10-11T21:18:45Z

This was a blast! Not sure if I won, but I reached the "You Win" sign and then sacrificed everyone to the lava. Super adorable creatures these Sleems <3 One of my favorites that I've played this jam so far. Really enjoyed managing all my little Sleems.

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-13T17:49:21Z

Awesome game! Had to lower my sensitivity quite a bit but then it was a lot of fun. The fast respawns really invite you to go for a speedrun.

UNTetris by JaviCoder 2021-10-13T18:04:08Z

This must be one of the most polished jam games I have seen! The aesthetics on this are through the roof and the pulling mechanic feels just right! Now just make more levels and make it available for mobile and you've got the next big hit on your hands!

Space Crazy by Uppitydonkey57 2021-10-13T20:23:51Z

I love the idea and the writing was great. Unfortunately the game was way too easy as you could just fly straight to the planet without worrying about the AI at all. Some more challenges and nerve-wrecking moments would've been great.

Meltdown Monday by Enad96 2021-10-09T09:43:19Z

This truly is the next generation of gaming! I can't believe I got to experience this for free! Thank you so much for making this masterpiece but I think I've had enough microwaved donuts for a while.

Desultorium by Nyubi 2021-10-11T20:44:37Z

Didn't really understand what was going on at first but once I got the hang of it it was quite the experience. Great job on the music! It fit the visuals perfectly and the movement really had a great impact. Also congrats on getting some UI to work, I know how much of a struggle that can be especially in Unity.

Quadruple trouble by gerrrard 2021-10-11T19:51:03Z

Okay this was actually more relaxing than I expected once I got a hold of the controls! I was expecting it to go crazy at some point but instead I just won :D Not sure if it was me but the third control (the one with the sine wave) didn't seem to work. Also would be nice to pause time during the tutorial as I had basically already lost when I started my first round. Really like the uniqueness of each control panel!

AllRound by Rayredd 2021-10-13T20:19:21Z

Really cool idea and the minimal art style actually works quite well. The sheep were actually less of a problem than the heavy and bouncy things. I love that when you push the farmer around his speech goes with him :D

Witch of the Warren by krummja 2021-10-07T23:05:30Z

Yay another potion brewing game :) It's so fun to see the different interpretations of the same setup. I really liked figuring out which ingredients were needed. Would be great to get some kind of feedback and maybe some hints so you don't have to start over if you didn't fully understand the message the first time. Also the text could appear a bit faster so I don't have to wait so long to read the lovely story but that might just be me.

Wobbly Penguins by bqq 2021-10-13T18:00:13Z

What did I just play? That was unexpected! At first I thought: yeah nice solid game. But then you took it to the next level! So glad to see someone really going for it with the theme!

Shroom Dood : the misfortune of the staff by ULDO 2021-10-13T20:55:54Z

Took me some time to realize that you can freeze the items in mid-air. Couldn't really figure what the second meter on your wand(?) means and why I would want a smaller circle of influence. Feel like I'm missing something here.

Building Game Building by randomerz 2021-10-09T10:28:09Z

Really fun game! A lot of depth and quite some replay value. Awesome job! I was a bit sad that I couldn't use my "production cycle" after my last piece to keep going.

Save reactor by Kr0luK 2021-10-13T16:14:32Z

Congrats on creating this game! The characters are really lovely and memorable. Took me some time to figure out the throwing as it's tricky to time with dropping it. Once I knew how to throw the only obstacle became jumping up platforms as they felt just slightly too high in some cases to comfortably jump up. I would have really like to have some form of goal beyond just surviving because actually winning is fun ;)

Paper Work by elbowGeese 2021-10-08T22:56:28Z

Wow that boss really doesn't like it when his employees move. Is this some kind of mindreading job? Well at least I finally managed to keep a job and 430 points :)

Fickle Forest by n00begon 2021-10-09T10:11:06Z

Really cool idea for a sandbox game and cute graphics! Unfortunately it was quite difficult to understand the systems and scoring system. It would have been great to slowly introduce the different species and their effects. In general the game could benefit from slowing everything down a bit. Right now everything spirals out of control a bit quickly. Do you have any tips on how to get the system to stabilize?

GLITCH by Yotamco 2021-10-13T20:10:44Z

Have you tried turning it off and on again? What a fun little platformer. The fart button was such a great idea you never know what press will cause it. The game just needs some music and some more levels to make it even better

Uncertain Orbits by Malcolm 2021-10-11T20:50:47Z

This was short and sweet. Well done on keeping the scope small! It really feels like a small complete game and the core mechanic is actually fun. Great basis to build more stuff on :)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

H U N T E D by xk_the_name 2022-04-13T22:16:14Z

Wow where did that last hour go? This is such a cool game and super polished! First time around I didn't make it far and was constantly ambushed. Then I just made a run for it and kept moving and discovered the power of the bedroll. Movement really is life!

Eschaton, Dark Forest of the by Tygrak 2022-04-16T13:42:19Z

Unique art style and a banger of a soundtrack! The ingame tutorialization was just perfect and the world truly added to the feeling of inevitability.

Promo Sapiens by eptwalabha 2022-04-16T12:35:35Z

The web version didn't capture the mouse unfortunately. The windows version worked flawlessly though. Yeah the theme got lost a bit but that just happens sometimes. The promotions I had to kinda ignore in the later levels to even be able to finish in time. I really liked the last level and the commentary on consumerism.

Battle of the Alamo by frosty 2022-04-16T14:51:21Z

Very cool idea for a game! I think this could also work quite well as a boardgame. Really cool to use a real life scenario and teach a bit of history. Maybe I got very lucky but I managed to quite comfortably win the first attempt.

Attack of the Inevitable Vine! by Plasmonic 2022-04-16T11:00:26Z

@conduit I couldn't move at first either. But I figured out that if you don't go into the options in the main menu but straight into the game that it works.

Cool little game with nice graphics despite the technical glitches.

Cthulhu Survivors by darwyn 2022-04-16T14:05:35Z

I got 6342! Very straightforward interpretation of the theme. I like the visual representation of sanity by your vision radius. Also good attention to detail that you can still make out enemies from afar so it never felt unfair. Great job!

Pachinko is Life by Don Fouts 2022-04-13T21:12:10Z

Wow what an experience that was! I love the whacky yet grim take on the theme. Unfortunately the game got stuck twice for me and the choices were cut off in fullscreen. But the humor and idea more than made up for it. Awesome entry!

Outrun the future by Sibi 2022-04-06T22:31:36Z

@labete @david-york I've now added a new version which should fix your input issues. Would be happy if you give the game another shot.

@archangel Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction as the gamepad input was indeed the issue here.

Outrun the future by Sibi 2022-04-06T22:36:43Z

@danonino @ideaspersecond Regarding the interpretation of the theme: Yes the inevitable part is that you will crash at some point. You can only delay this by healing your lanes to give you as much room as possible to dodge. When you're down to one lane you will have to face the inevitable game over with nop more opportunity to delay it.

Outrun the future by Sibi 2022-04-06T22:40:55Z

@epu Animating the switching of the lanes was something we were thinking about. We decided against it due to time constraints and the danger of making it too confusing when you are quickly switching lanes and leaving "shadows" behind and risking it feeling less snappy. The chromatic abberation flash is a cool thought. WOuld just be afraid that it might add to much visual noise on top of the already very vibrant look.

Outrun the future by Sibi 2022-04-07T05:58:30Z

@100th-coin which version were you using and were you playing with keyboard or gamepad?

Outrun the future by Sibi 2022-04-07T06:11:19Z

@100th-coin Ah yeah that explains it. Gamepad Input was kinda broken in the jam version. Should be fixed in the input-fix version.

Gone by Joshuc 2022-04-16T11:58:30Z

Oof that really hit hard. Brilliant story-telling! the on-screen system alone is very impressive but to combine it with other physical objects really makes the world feel real. And I love that you chose such a mundane task as the job because it really helps drive that emptiness feeling home. Very difficult to give this game a "Fun" rating as I really enjoyed the game but there was no fun to be had. Same goes for "Humor"

Dino Village by Suchista 2022-04-16T11:22:51Z

Wow that was great! Nice variant of a cookie clicker! I managed to barely win the first attempt. The balancing was really on point and it was a matter of seconds. I really liek that you could actually win and have a true goal.

Taxapocalypse by Harksa 2022-04-18T19:01:27Z

190years.png I didn't expect to have so much fun with this one as I did. It started out slow but got really intense and the music framed tax f...ilings as the most exciting thing ever!

Faces of the Beast by stamestratagem 2022-04-16T13:53:49Z

Really cool minigame! Love the artstyle and am really impressed by the amount of content you created for this!

Trauma Center (futile medical care edition) by LoicLeGrosFrere 2022-04-16T12:11:24Z

The web version was a bit laggy for me but the windows version worked flawlessly. Took me a moment to realize what I had to do but once the first syringe was in her face it all made sense. I love the easter eggs and the beautiful explosion just for the sake of it.

Inevitabone by Leandro4002 2022-04-16T12:20:02Z

If that's how my afterlife is determined than I'm doomed. I'm really bad at anything bullet-hell related. Thanks for giving a lot of health as I would not have been able to see most of the game otherwise. The controls felt a bit floaty and the main character looked a bit blurry. But I really liked the variety of projectiles and how they were gradually introduced.

Burning Spirit by dotPoozer 2022-04-13T21:42:25Z

Really impressive game for a jam! A feature rich game delivering an emotional story. Really well done. The only thing that was a bit unfortunate was that it felt like the best strategy to just throw random cards at enemies as quickly as possible. Maybe freezing time during encounters or limiting the card ressources would've helped to make me try and optimize my ressource usage. But since not fully killing everything in one go restores the enemy back to full I was being pessimistic and threw as much at them as I could. Also the cards could use some more separation between flavor text and what they actually do as it was kinda difficult to parse at a aglance. Still incredibly fun to just throw around cards that you picked up. Love the idea of cards based on the terrain that you pick them up in. So much potential to evolve this further!

Fight The Darkness by Specturnal 2022-04-16T11:12:56Z

Simple idea but very well executed! Love the variety of weapons and how solid the controls feel.

Column by Notinatal 2022-04-16T10:53:18Z

Wow what an amazing game! I loved every second of it. Really interesting puzzles and great diversity in mechanics for a jam game! I loved just figuring out the rules of each section and everything was so well presented and polished. Only gripe I might have is that the theme interpretation seems a little bit of a stretch to me. I hope authoritarian regimes are not inevitable and we can do more than just delay them.

Column by Notinatal 2022-04-16T11:08:41Z

@notinatal Thanks for clarifying! I quite like that outlook :)

Jacob Cassidy in: Case Crimson Midnight by parkuhrmd 2022-04-16T11:33:18Z

Really eerie game. Unfrotunately I could not delay the summoning. Really love the reload animation. I would have wished for a more powerful weapon though or less enemies as it sometime felt very overwhelming and I couldn't make any progress.

Arboressence by Aspect Studio 2022-04-13T21:19:49Z

Amazing visuals and atmosphere! I loved trying to squeeze the most out of every weapon to stay alive. And once I didn't have enough integrity to fire the flamethrower I knew I had to face my inevitable doom. Well done! I survived for 98.6s :)

Lords of the Deck: 50 cards to WAR by AsmadiGames 2022-04-16T13:14:26Z

I only managed to get 28. Everything was going well but then in the last few moves I really screwed up the balance and everything escalated. Awesome to see a pure card game that everyone can play with just a deck of cards. Every move felt like I was making meaningful decisions and the theme was well captured. Great entry!

Airborne Retribution: Legacy: Revelations of Invasion: the Return 4 Deluxe: Gold by Eli Peters 2022-04-16T14:32:20Z

Okay that was a bit too ahrd for me. Quite unforgiving with the bullets. Would have loved to be able to survive a few more hits.

Delay the inevitable flood by IldenH 2022-04-16T13:28:28Z

Getting the dam started was quite tricky but once I got it going and into a rythm of collecting wood it went well. After ~5 minutes it felt a bit repetitive and not as dangerous anymore with a buffer of 6 wood. Could use some music and further challenges.

TAILGUNNER by Metzkermeister 2022-04-13T20:54:44Z

I really enjoyed the unique flight mechanics! The game was a bit on the easy side for me since the rockets were too easy to dodge and the drops frequent enough to never be in any real danger. Would've loved some more enemy variety and/or (mini-)bosses.

Calcium Carnage by cactusdan 2022-04-16T14:15:37Z

Very snappy and fast paced gameplay! I got to a score of 46! Evn though you opted out of audio I think you picked a really well matching song!

Mages and Essay Pages by Haastregt 2022-04-16T14:24:07Z

For a first game jam this is incredibly impressive! The art style is really cool and I like the concept of mixing the action-adventure with a card game of sorts. I feel like you were probably a bit ambitious with the scope which happens to everyone in the beginning. The card game was a bit confusing for me and as you mentioned the card drops might be a bit too RNG. But I can definitely relate with the story (not necessarily the essay but any other kind of work)

Over Time by Azara 2022-04-13T21:24:21Z

Hmm not sure what was going on here. I always failed after completing at most one task and drinking coffee didn't really seem to help. I feel like the timings might be a bit off. The art is great though and I can relate way too much with this story...

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Twilight Souls by Yword 2022-10-10T19:33:05Z

Wow what a brilliant game. Super polished and even though I'm horrible at these types of games it kept me moitivated to try just one more time. And in the end I managed to beat it :)

Steam-Machine Survival by Ivan Garcia Filho 2022-10-10T21:36:30Z

Great little shooter! A bit too easy for my taste. COuld have used some more enemy variety and a couple of powerups. But the gunplay was already really satisfying. Especially the explosion sound and animation kept me going!

10 Second Pizza Delivery by hungryroy 2022-10-16T21:19:42Z

Got all 10 bonus stars! Really nice basic platformer! Could use some sort of twist and maybe allow for jumping for longer after boosting. Solid foundation to build upon :)

Forging Through Fire by ryusui 2022-10-15T08:37:07Z

That was really fun! I would have loved some more levels but you managed to show the potential quite well with those levels already. Really good that you are showing the dragon breath a few seconds before to allow for a last second escape.

Dimension Clicker by Dr_V 2022-10-15T15:00:08Z

Great storytelling! Could have been a bit longer but I really enjoyed it!

Autumn Harvesting by Don Fouts 2022-10-15T16:05:31Z

Autumn Valley by ChuChuGeralt 2022-10-09T18:46:38Z

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments

We definitely bit of a little more than we could chew with this one

@likirus Yeah sorry for the missing victory message, that one fell victim to the deadline. I hope this victory pie can make up for it a little: AutumnValleyVictoryPie.png

@fabula-rasa The zooming while scrolling and scrolling super slow is unfortunately a bug that I didn't get around to fixing anymore. But you should be able to move the scroll bar by dragging it with the mouse.

@lukuluk Thanks for the detailed feedback! * The roads being free was a decision that we went back and forth on. I just didn't want to limit people in their freedom to design their city and to have to optimize roads too much. * Long term goals didn't survive the harsh chopping block of the timeframe. To be honest the game already felt a bit long for a jam game. * I definitely feel this one as I didn't get around to balancing resources and had to err on the conservative side to not have players get stuck * Great suggestions!

Autumn Valley by ChuChuGeralt 2022-10-16T12:53:24Z

Thanks again for all the amazing comments! Not blocking roads from crossing each other and other buildings was indeed an oversight on our end.

@ninjacreeper47 Great job on figuring out the cart mechanics! Limiting transport by cart available for delivery was indeed the idea. Unfortunately being able to build extra carts and showing available carts for each building got scrapped due to time constraints.

@gordienkogames There's no wrong way to play :) But just connecting every building to the town hall is not very efficient. This becomes quite the bottleneck as it can't ship stuff quickly enough to the other buildings. As for the theme: Every 10 seconds a building produces a resource. So every timer that you see above the buildings is always 10s.

Brightsight by simba 2022-10-16T21:43:35Z

Brilliant turn based strategy! Loved the ability to undo my move as it helped to keep a high pace and allowed me to just try out different scenarios. The theme interpretation is a bit weak as you just equate turns with seconds. The thematic "turn back time" mechanic helps to sell the idea of turns being related to time.

The intro was just also completely insane for a jam and really sold the setting to me.

Business Munch by Yoni 2022-10-16T21:57:38Z

That game felt like it was telling a true story :D Unfortunately there was a level where I always became mosnter food by jumping too high. Luckily I persisted and found a way too finish the game. Really loved the diversity and detail of the levels. Also the voice commentary was really well placed and added to the atmosphere.

Expanse Range by PROJECTaroid 2022-10-16T20:11:01Z

Nice adaptation of the theme to the shooter genre. Sometimes it was a bit frustrating when you clicked on time but the projectile took too long to hit the target. Would've also liked some kind of goal.

OrzeΕ‚ by NoelOskar 2022-10-10T18:51:57Z

That was just the right amount of challenging for a jam game! The movement mechanics are really satisfying.

Orb Golem by Filip VannfΓ€lt 2022-10-16T20:55:08Z

Cool concept! The leveldesign was a bit confusign at times as I didn't know where to go or whether I was making progress. The character animation was brilliant!

So they met. So they talked. by batkoi 2022-10-10T19:51:24Z

Well that was weird with a great mood!

Dodgex by chingle 2022-10-10T18:59:14Z

Wow didn't expect it to be this engaging. After the first wave I was expecting to be bored but you really tricked me. The buildup of difficulty was great. In the end I died by being pushed off screen. Jumping over the obstacles could have been a little easier. Great job!

Frantic Farmer by Jel2217 2022-10-09T14:24:57Z

Really cool to see another farming game! Really like the graphics style and the music :) Would definitely recommend writing a few sentences on how to play in the description.

For anyone else struggling to figure out the controls: Pick up the seeds with left click and plant them with right click. Also make sure not to spend all the money on planting seeds so you have some money leftover to pay the quota.

Jupiter & Arcana Travel Through the Nevermore by fae.pdf 2022-10-16T21:04:21Z

Definitely the moodiest game I've played this jam! Got really drawn in by the story and the decisions felt almost therapeutic. Making these grand decisions on a short timeframe without fully understanding the implications was an amazing experience!

The 10 Second Foot by Aes1 2022-10-10T19:12:09Z

Really innovative control scheme! I think my poor keyboard needs a break now :D

Internal Business Struggle by SimonO 2022-10-10T20:08:29Z

That was great! I've thought about that interpretation of the theme as well but couldn't come up with good mechanics like you did!

Time: Cardmancer by AkaCMD 2022-10-09T14:40:40Z

That's a cool idea to make a card game work. We were planning on making one as well but couldn't figure out a ten second mechanic that we liked. Took me quite some time to finish the first level and I still feel like I'm misplaying so much. Could be a little bit slower for my taste but it adds to the frantic nature of slinging cards around. Would have loved to have more ways to mess with my opponent. Just being able to play all the cards onto them as well would have already been nice.

Black Zen White by BoOdbarbak 2022-10-16T20:45:44Z

My favorite platformer of the jam so far! Really great controls and just the right amount of difficulty for a jam game. Would've been nice to be able to see the other side before it switches to be able to react in time and not have to learn the level first.

PATTERNM. by MakeMakeMake 2022-10-16T20:34:43Z

Really like the concept of the game. Unfortunately it seems like the game is way too fast for me: the 10s only took 3s of real time for me. So I barely managed to get 2 inputs correct in that time. The graphics and atmosphere were stunning though.

Spaceship Parking Simulator by fuzzybut 2022-10-10T19:40:31Z

Took some time to get used to the controls but then it was actually quite fun. Unfortunate that you didn't manage to fit the theme anymore. Also I think the game could use some gravity or a backwards thruster. I quite often found myself hovering right in front of a planet with no way of landing and killed myself by trying to rotate.

Justin Time: Man of the Hour by applecore555 2022-10-15T09:28:14Z

This is definitely my favorite game of the jam so far! Played for way too long :D A bit on the easy side unfortuntely since "Maximum Overtime" is pretty busted and leads to long downtimes. Would have loved to skip the rest of the turn. In the beginning I struggled a bit because I had to learn the cards but once I understood them it was a blast! The music was also chosen perfectly as I kept humming along and felt like being right in the battle! Amazing job, would even consider buying a full version which is better balanced :)

Justin Time: Man of the Hour by applecore555 2022-10-16T22:04:18Z

@jonmerrin Glad you liked the feedback! I just really love deck building roguelike games :) Increasing the cost of Maximum Overtime would at least not make it not immediately useful and you would need to build around it. But since you can pick additional turn time it's still quite busted. I think that option would need to be removed if you want to keep this card. But that would still leave the option of just removing every card from your deck which is not Maximum OVerload or increasing turn time. As for additional feedback: It took a bit of time to understand the coloring of the ground and didn't even see the number below Justin. But since you're thinking of making a tutorial anyway, that could use some explanation.

Televisio-Mania by Akkara 2022-10-16T20:25:34Z

Really ambitious to build multiple games in a jam! Really love the aesthetics of the TV and the family fightin for the remote. Some sort of win or failure state would've been great. Like one of the people leaving if you lose at their game.

4go10se by Stepan Mulenok 2022-10-15T15:05:23Z

Really solid first game! Quite ambitious to build multiple games in a game jam. Sometimes the levels felt a bit too punishing and random because either you didn't have to doo anything or sometimes you had no chance. WOuld also have loved some sound effects.

LD52 — Harvest

Underworld Management by mactinite 2023-01-13T21:53:46Z

Very impressive amount of content for a jam game! The game was a bit on the easy side. I just built a brimstone wall around the core and no enemy was any danger anymore. It took me a while to figure out that I could assign different jobs. But then I had basically unlimited resources and continues just building out my city in peace :D

The Dealer by Porcus_Pie 2023-01-14T17:11:04Z

Phew that got quite hectic. I really like the atmosphere. It reminds me a bit of papers please.

Grow Golf by torcado 2023-01-14T15:54:24Z

Wonderful take on the theme! I love golf games and this one is a really unique spin on the genre. Took me a few tries to get going but then it was amazing to just lob around my army of golfballs.

celestial garden by pataya 2023-01-14T16:47:15Z

celestial_garden.png

I think I may have overdone it a little :D Once I figured out that the asteroids collide with the suns I knew what I had to do. And after my people were safe from outside dangers (but also trapped and doomed to never explore the rest of the universe) I started cramming all their planets into a single spot. That way I was able to water a lot of planets all at once. That was really fun!

Harvesters From Outer Space by fmdkdd 2023-01-14T23:24:43Z

Fun and short game! Would have loved some way to fight back against those pesky tanks.

Crop Circle by Rulrite 2023-01-14T15:45:33Z

Very polished game! Super consistent art style thorugh the entire game. The gameplay felt a bit hectic and I didn't feel as much in control as I would have liked and I couldn't really make many decision. But when I got some good bounces of it was a super enjoyable experience.

Corpse Circle by Jonathan Lorenz 2023-01-14T13:07:35Z

Incredible graphics and a fantastic soundtrack! Took me a few tries to understand the mechanics fully. Could be helpful to have some more details in the game description. But once I understood the game it was a lot of fun and made it into heaven. Really liked the evil look of the harvester!

Folk Farm by VPhyre 2023-01-15T00:08:03Z

Brilliant and bizarre story! Also amazing artwork in the cutscenes. I really like the idea oif harvesting my own ammo! Unfortunately there wasn't much planning involved in the crops I planted as I just planted every seed that I could get my hands on. Also the final fight could have been a bit longer or maybe have some intermediate fights every night. I had way to much ammo left over and didn't even get to use my cool golden banana. But since the story is setup perfectly for a sequel, maybe there's hope ;)

KRÉ Farm Prototype by KreGames 2023-01-14T13:21:05Z

Had a lot of fun figuring out how everything works and how much everything costs. I stopped once I had 5650 money :D Great use of state machines!

Drake's Fortune by chompdev 2023-01-14T14:58:07Z

Incredible! Didn't expect to play angrybirds but with a freaking dragon this jam! I enjoyed flying over the cities and laying waste to everything and everyone. Very simple but effective gampelay loop. Would have loved to have some sort of final boss to prepare for and defeat. After destroying a max level city with their fire arrow archers it kinda fizzled out a bit.

Soil and Toil by squimmy 2023-01-14T13:49:30Z

Very charming and addictive! I stopped once I reached 106 food :) Was quite tricky getting started but once you have enough food going it becomes quite relaxing.

Harvest "Harvest Simulator" Simulator by spyranteros 2023-01-14T16:58:56Z

Great little minigame! The mouse position seems to be scaled incorrectly in the webversion. But once I adjsuted to that it was very enjoyable.

The PIT by Wouter52 2023-01-14T23:43:10Z

Very cool spin on inventory tetris :D I especially like the selective breeding aspect as that allows you to plan a bit more longterm and makes you think which ones to plant. I unfortunately got the keys confused quite a lot. (Maybe because the left (A) key was listed below the right (S) key and my brain was always swapping them. Which in the end led to me picking up some plant which didn't fit into the grid anymore.

Metafarm by gwaiLoFi 2023-01-13T20:38:51Z

Cool that you used the jam to try out some new tech! I really like the mood of DM Dungeon but it was a bit short and could have used some more gameplay than just random effects. Like Farm and Data Leak didn't seem to really work unfortunately :/ In Like Farm I could type stuff but nothing happened and in Data Leak I could move around but again nothing happened.

Harvest by Oiluuuj 2023-01-14T23:27:03Z

Sadly not much of a game here. But good start and solid concept. Not very far from having a nice simple gameplay loop. Keep it up!

Necrotic Harvest by TheJookerful 2023-01-14T16:08:37Z

Interesting concept and nice take on the theme. The controls were sometimes a bit fiddly. Would be great if the symbols were always shown so I don't have to mouse over them all the time.

Breaking Catnip by PlovGuru 2023-01-14T14:15:34Z

What an engaging backstory and simply beautiful graphics. Unfortunately the dialog systems breaks regularly. But since the time keeps running I just kep hammering the space bar anyways :D The characters are super charming but still get repetitive. Would have loved to see some deeper gameplay.

That Wasn't Wheat... by sammot 2023-01-13T20:49:17Z

Great style! The game felt like you really wanted the "Limited visibility" theme to happen :D The rock was a bit unforgiving but I enjoyed "accidentally" harvesting other things. But one time a cow got revenge and trapped me in a corner.

Harvest Heist by 3ggplant 2023-01-13T21:04:55Z

Really engaging core mechanic for such a simple game! The game just needs a banger soundtrack and maybe some offscreen indications of where everything is to feel less random.

Poo Farmer by Pyspher9 2023-01-14T17:30:40Z

I think this was the first time where I was happy about a unicorn pooping in front of my house :D The turd launcher felt a little underpowered but the scatling gun was just pure unadulterated fun. Sometimes it was a bit frustrating to have to find the merchant. I think I would like him to either be stationary or to have some sort of map. Because I always felt punished when I went to far away from my home instead of just camping it. Overall a very pootastic game!

No Harvest by Mikzam 2023-01-13T20:28:01Z

Really cool idea for a push-your-luck style cardgame. I found the text a bit hard to read and the space on the cards seems a bit wasted with the repeated text. ALso would ahve loved to see the different stats actually mattering and not just having one number. Also would be great to not be completely kicked out of the game for failing once. I had a game where I put 14 in round 4 and the range was 0-14 and I got knocked out by a 14. Felt a bit unfair at that point. Maybe some sort of HP would be nice so that you have a better feeling for how much you can risk.

Harvest Earth by Seagoingmanatee 2023-01-13T22:39:19Z

Really awesome tutorial and a nice touch that you can rearrange everything. A bit difficult to get started as you don't have many choices early on.

CrapCirclz by Francois Dervaux 2023-01-14T15:12:50Z

That was incredibly fun. Very nice looking game and love the punny names :)

Boar'd'Hell by Blublu 2023-01-14T15:40:15Z

Cool idea to control two vehicles at the same time! It was a bit too much for my brain but the visuals and sounds were so much fun that I could deal with it ^^

Don't Stop The Beet by Wrong Timeline 2023-01-13T22:08:18Z

Very unique take on the rhythm game genre and nicely fit to the theme! Unfortunately I'm really bad at this and it was very difficult for me to judge why I'm off on certain "beets". Btw great punny name :)

LD53 — Delivery

Delivery: New Hope by Somnium 2023-05-14T15:24:56Z

Very emotional game! Definitely felt the anxiety and hopelessness. The music also really helped to immerse yourself in this world. Played through it a few times and think you nailed the length and ability to quickly play through to a certain point.

Rotting Hood's De-liver-y Service by Kyle Farwell 2023-05-14T18:00:46Z

Loved the humor and the frantic "digging" for the liver! My final score was: 23171

Sky Drop by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-05-06T19:57:45Z

I managed to deliver 11 packages :) I love the low poly style and the playful music. Took me a few attempts to figure the drop mechanic out but then it was really cool. Would have loved some more things to do as the downtime between targets was sometimes a bit long (maybe some fuel management? or pick a path?). Also some indicator where your package is gonna drop would be super helpful as the perspective was a bit disorienting at times. Well rounded jam game with just the right scope :v:

Schnosenfloot 2077 by Merotar 2023-05-14T16:05:35Z

Very pretty game, I especially enjoyed all the neat particle effects. Gameplay wise I'm not sure if I'm missing something. But it felt like the strategy is to just launch all my drones at once and fly them to the first island. After that it was just holding left click over the creatures. Would be great if their was some more decision making, like islands which pay different amount or drones which help you fight.

On Time by SerialKamikaze 2023-05-14T16:12:38Z

Cool to see a game made in Rust! It's a bit simplistic and needs some more challenge as you basically never run the risk of timing out. Also it didn't quite feel like I was delivering anything but just collecting stuff as I could basically just ignore what I assume to be the delivery destinations.

Sorted by Harmadillo 2023-05-06T20:27:23Z

Really relaxing game. I continued until day 10, wasn't sure if there was any more content after that. Also would've really liked to see what mistakes I made to learn from them. I was struggling a bit to figure out which country belonged to which geographic reason but then noticed that it's just the first digit of the country code. By that point it became very easy to correctly sort. Seems like you already had some great ideas to add on to this and I'm looking forward to the great parcel DLC

Trooper Support by TheSecondLeft 2023-05-06T20:06:02Z

I got a bit lost in the desert but at least I delivered some armor and bullets to my soldiers after wandering around. Banging music! I would have loved some more movement options as I sometimes felt quite trapped and the enemies shooting through the walls didn't help either :D

Space Soba Delivery by zundou 2023-05-14T16:21:47Z

Simple concept but surprisingly engaging! Took a while to get used to the controls. But my brain regularly would mix movement and rotation up (probably because I'm more used to WASD controls). The rotational inertia was a nice bit of difficulty and I more than once panicked when close to the wall and made it worse by rotating incorrectly :D

Space Haulers Inc. by apoly 2023-05-14T15:52:08Z

Really awesome style and a great calm atmosphere! Unfortunately I think I ran into some bugs or didn't properly understand a mechanic. My factories on other planets never seemed to produce anything. I had everything on Ceres built but it was not producing any metal. Also my first moon rocket just cost me resources but didn't actually show up in my ships list. Didn't finish the game because of this as earth just doesn't produce enough and I didn't want to wait around for hours :D

LD54 — Limited Space

Between the Layers by boddiul 2023-10-15T12:40:36Z

Really nice storytelling and great atmosphere. I would have loved an overview of what endings I already got and maybe a slightly quicker way to try the different combinations instead of having to click through all the dialog.

Steel Zenith by thetatautau 2023-10-15T15:20:51Z

This was very zen. Super relaxing and highly polished! The sounds were extremely satisfying and I always love the moebius style.

Loot Goblin by Tudvari 2023-10-15T14:46:24Z

This game has all the foundations to become a really addicting game. I caught myself saying "just one more run" before finally going on to the final level. Very well rounded experience for a compo entry. Would just have loved some more challenge to keep going.

MUSEUM RUSH by Kilirane 2023-10-15T12:28:33Z

Took me a few tries but once I plotted a nice course on the map I finally managed to get them all. I would have really appreciated a restart button since some attempts were clearly not gonna work out. The controls were a bit sluggish but added to the frustrating feeling of people just being in the way. I loved screaming at people and provided my own sound effects :D

Face the Dice by Bastienre4 2023-10-15T14:14:28Z

Very chill game with surprising depth. The visual presentation was a bit too minimal for my taste and the dice roll animation could have been a bit faster as it was taking most of the play time. The AI even put up a decent fight but in the end I was just constantly producing stars.

Cosmic Construction by ChuChuGeralt 2023-10-15T21:23:31Z

@dingdingding You need to make sure that every neighboring field is of the same type.

Mecha Walker by Le Don 2023-10-15T13:10:30Z

Very ambitious game for a game jam. I really liked the diversity of items and events. Unfortunately the game could use a bit of balancing. Especially in FTL style roguelikes the beginning should be relatively easy but here I had to optimize as much as possible to even get halfway to the first town.

Tiny People Big Adventure by Jahwffrey 2023-10-15T15:07:44Z

So much fun and super unique! What an experience! Making deals with the devil, selling my cart for scraps, all to just waste away after accidentally catching a rare insect instead of some much needed fish. Very well done!

Cosmic Cargo Chaos by Surfa 2023-10-15T13:41:04Z

This was so much fun! The controls were on point and the story hilarious. When I realized that I would be getting my final strike, I just ejected myself out of the airlock :D Btw great name for the game, always happy to see more people appreciating alliterations.

LD55 — Summoning

Summoning a Memory by ScrapMetal 2024-04-17T22:03:00Z

Really cool idea and the visuals and sound set the mood perfectly. Took me quite a few tries to cross that gap. It was quite mind bending sometimes which part of my past I was reliving. Would be cool to be able to summon multiple memories or to have memories within memories!

Parangariku by Oni 2024-04-17T21:28:20Z

Controls really well with a controller. I lost my first battle but won my second one! Unfortunately it felt like just collecting as many orbs as possible and then spamming waves was the best strategy instead of carefully looking out for countering elements as it was all a bit hectic. The graphics are really lovely and slick

Consume the Countryside by labcatgames 2024-04-17T21:14:54Z

Wow time really flies when consuming all the plants (and houses). Very fun to figure out how everything works and the levels teach a lot without explicitly explaining things. Once I understood things it got surprisingly addicting to summon my swarms of insects even though it seemed to be a good enough strategy to just match them to their favorite crop. I would've liked a bit more depth as it was starting to become a bit too repetitive towards the end. Also the trees could've been a bit faster to consume.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Watch your step by asfdfdfd 2024-10-13T13:04:56Z

I feel like I'm not supposed to be here  feet.png

I love that you can just walk around the massage mat and that you can even just walk backwards at the start. True freedom :D

Fun twist on the theme to play as a giant. The sounds realy helped to sell the scale. I think this game could really benefit from a timer and would make a fun little speedrun. I was surprised how natural the controls felt after a while.

Buzzfight by Stracker 2024-10-13T12:26:19Z

Oh nice someone else made a lowpoly bee game using boids! It worked really well and definitely had a strong swarm feeling. I would've loved some more info on the different units to better understand how to strategize but figured it out by trial and error. Really fun!

Sammy's Playground by ThatSommeS 2024-10-22T23:04:00Z

Okay I should really go to bed now :D I just couldn't stop without finishing this game. It got quite grindy (and laggy) towards the end and could use some more active abilities. But damn this was the perfect game to play while watching some youtube. playground.png

Moon Picnic by Fractal 2024-10-13T12:47:29Z

Damn that was a lot of fun! I loved frantically clicking away at the ants. And beyond the clicking it had enough depth let me take decisions such as fighting off the ants vs destroying their spawner. It felt really well balanced. And the introduction of the powers really kept it fresh at every level. The music and sounds were just so whimsical, I loved it! And on top of all of that you have a brilliant level selector.

Fish Fighter by Str8griz 2024-10-13T14:02:59Z

Wow the amount of content in this game is incredible for a jam game. Unfortunately after 3 days the shop stopped working for me for some reason.

Maze Bat by oliver_day 2024-10-13T13:10:36Z

Very relaxing little game. Impressive how much mood you can create with just some ASCII.

LD57 — Depths

The Misadventures of Sir Delaware Jones: In the Temple of the Wooden Skull by stmatn 2025-04-20T10:30:12Z

Really cool game! I got to depths 40 and then got stuck due to a silly mistake :see_no_evil: It started getting a bit repetitive. Would be great to introduce a few more concepts as you progress deeper, like enemies.

An Angler's Light by Yorsh 2025-04-20T11:09:31Z

I'm blown by this submission! The production quality especially for a compo game is crazy. Different enemies, star rating, a lovely main character and lots of polish. Amazing entry!

Low Maintenance by Juutis 2025-04-20T13:19:00Z

Okay it took me way too long to figure out how to defeat the final boss. I tried all kinds of things, like breaking all the eggs and pillars or pushing him back to the elevator. I didn't realize that he was exposing some sort of weak point. This was a half hour well spent. Really cool retro shooter (even with lore, although I skipped most of it). Happy to see another elevator based shooter.

Depth Navigator by aa4z2 2025-04-20T13:45:32Z

Okay this is one of the most concepts I've seen in this jam so far. It was really cool to navigate with just a map and the depth gauge. Unfortunately there were a few levels where you could just take a straight line. And if you ever get lost it's usually best to jsut reset. Would be great if there was a way to find you bearings again or to have a longer journey and know that you are still on course.

Screenshot 2025-04-20 154225.png

Getting Drilled! by Ryano 2025-04-20T11:30:29Z

Very addictive gameplay but the lava is a bit punishing. Having some lifes would've gone a long way as lava tiles basically dictate which way you can go. And having a few powerups to deal with difficult situations or to prepare a quick drill would've made it even more engaging. But great movement and choice of satifying sounds!

The Dig by ditam 2025-04-20T10:41:15Z

Very athmospheric game, especially love the music getting more intense the further down I went. It got a bit hard at times to where I still had to dig and I would have loved a bit more decision making (e.g. have indicators where to dig, or different abilities of the diggers).

DEPTH OF FIELD by chiyeon 2025-04-20T12:32:10Z

Really nice concept! Was hoping to see some games about depth of field and this world needs more photography games in general (although Pokemon Snap is setting the bar high). Finally managed to get all object photographed. Would be cool to get a more detailed breakdown of all my pictures and the scoring.

Hole Punch by Michael Parrish 2025-04-20T14:18:04Z

Love the art style and humor! Only managed 44m, but I was never any good at typing games :D

Frantic Focus by krummja 2025-04-20T14:03:43Z

Cool interpretation of the theme. And with the funny noises and quick respawns it didn't feel too punishing. I only noticed some od behavior when getting stuck in walls.

Deeper by BlackCat508 2025-04-20T11:23:27Z

That was really fun! I think I would've prefered a little more visibility but more enemies so that dodging becomes more relevant. Really like the polish of this game, shots feel impactful, going insane is very nicely presented and teh transition to the next floor is cool.

Belials Bellybutton by Kujoen 2025-04-20T10:57:58Z

Wow this game perfectly transports the moody and claustrophpic feeling. Even the slightly floaty controls match super well. Unfortunately I got one shot by the second narwhal from offscreen.

DESENTIA by ElenaMisuBean 2025-04-20T12:08:45Z

Oh wow I had a hard time putting this down again. The spectacles feel almost mandatory, or at least they make everything so much more satisfying :D

Lone Digger by The Spinning Sofa 2025-04-20T12:42:29Z

Love the visuals and the frantic clicking. I would have loved to see a bit more challenge, managed to make it all the way through on my first try. But I like that it's not optimal to always sell everything and that you can use the materials for the events.

Hail Mary by YouCarryOats 2025-04-20T13:32:55Z

Didn't expect to see a sports game with this theme. Really cool take on the theme. The accuracy needed for completing the pass was a bit unforgiving. Maybe just hinting the trajectory would help, or having the receiver run towards the ball. This way unfortuinately the squinting was just a minor part as the main cahllenge was in the throwing itself.

LD58 — Collector

Calm & Collected Collector Collision by el-pepi 2025-10-12T11:31:17Z

Super polished graphics and sounds! Had a real blast getting my car bumped around. The first goal was definitely the hardet. Once I had every single upgrade purchased it became more about trying to dodge the cars in order to be able to end the run :D Is there an end to the game? calm and collected.png

Broke Custodian: From Dust Till Display by outstar 2025-10-11T22:33:30Z

Broke Custodian.png That was a nice relaxing experience and nicely broken up with the digging minigame. Love the art especially, all very consistent and impressive variety of items. But damn those school kids! *angryfist*

Scalper Beat-Off! by chelC 2025-10-12T08:17:39Z

scalpers.png I did it! What a grind to get that last card :D Loved how satisfying opening the packs was!

Toybox by jordantanner 2025-10-12T07:21:43Z

Love the aesthetics and the haptic feel of it all! A bit more variety between the levels would have been great.

Showdown and Tell! by JDeeDubs 2025-10-12T07:57:58Z

Super charming game! It was sometimes a bit confusing why I got a certain number of hearts. Seeing the opponents turns also was a little distracting. A very ambitious scope for a jam. But would love to see a more polished version of this as it has a lot of potential with the combos and I love the setting and customization of my toy!

Hottentottententententoonstelling by Wouter52 2025-10-11T21:26:57Z

I had so much fun drawing even though I'm terrible at it! The setting really helped to not stress about it and just be a kid again. Brilliant voice acting!

Can you give me a hand gesture? by She Wrote 2025-10-12T07:33:36Z

At the end I got a bit stuck and had to start brute forcing (didn't know a two-finger gun was a thing). Also I had to restart the game to learn what that gesture was as it just skipped to the win-screen when I made the 16th gesture. Still a very charming and unique game. I really loved getting in the flow, just firing off hand gestures and realizing how many different ones we do or how important hand orientation is.

Garbage Collector Inc. by daniboygg 2025-10-11T21:09:09Z

Super adorable sound effects and a solid base for a fun game. I think it would help to get punished for misclicks, or at least for clicking on the good memory blocks. Now I was just frantically spam clicking :D

Arena of Battleships by Planetary 2025-10-11T21:04:49Z

Really like building my own ship and upgrading things in the heat of battle! It would be great to more easily see my opponents ship. Zooming out and panning over is a bit tedious and I want to see the impact of my weapons.

Claim thy Land by ranejeb 2025-10-11T20:46:31Z

This game is so addicting! Really brilliant and unique puzzle game. Would only love an option to make the animations faster.

Claim thy Land by ranejeb 2025-10-11T21:28:40Z

@ranejeb Oh that's brilliant! I'll jump right back in :)

C.A.P.S by zowell 2025-10-12T10:05:30Z

Okay I spent waaay too much time with this one :D This is such a good game! It took me a while to truly understand the mechanics, terminology and how things interact. But once I figure it out, it was really good! Loved building crazy combos and scoring 100+ in a single turn! Beside for some polish here and there, this could go straight to steam!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Symphonic Mission by PavelDlouhy 2018-05-13T19:23:37Z

Nice concept. I really liked the music. But to me it felt easier to avoid the enemies than to try and shoot them because you risk just hitting them that way. Also hitting the enemies was very difficult since the laser and the enemies themselves are quite small and you have not time/room for readjusting your shot. I would also like to see the shooting pattern adapt a bit more to the music :)

Fun Block Game by spaghetti_pants 2018-04-26T21:39:26Z

Wow what a great concept! This felt like a demo for a full game, very polished. I can't believe how much my brain got confused with the two control sets :D It was also really cool how you had to be intentionally bad at tetris to create a way and not destroy the ground beneath your feet. Good use of scripted blocks to teach concepts!

The Tactical Trio by Aggrathon 2018-05-13T15:50:32Z

Awesome game! It's way more tactical than it first appears. Good tutorialization as well :)

FootBulls by goffmog 2018-05-13T15:58:34Z

Brilliant idea and execution! It's a shame you couldn't get a form of AI working. Would have loved to play this against the computer. Also the music didn't work for me in the web-player.

EXTREME EXTERMINATION DEFENSE by chaoclypse 2018-04-25T06:08:50Z

Oh wow another entry using cars to build towers :D I really enjoyed this game. Although I didn't feel like the speed and jump towers were really worth it because I had to go there to get some benefit and couldn't stay close to the base. I would have liked to instead be able to upgrade my car. The controls are really good and the enemy variety was impressive. Great job!

Jeff From Accounting by Almax 2018-04-26T22:29:35Z

Okay, holy shit. Just wow. Such a unique concept with gorgeous art and amazing sound. Everything was just perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the boss fight at the end which felt a bit anticlimactic. He just died like any other enemy and I had to find and clean up the little guys. Definitely the best jam game I have seen!

Golf with Guns by Issac 2018-04-26T19:46:08Z

Awesome game! I love golfing games and this was the best spin on it I have seen in this jam! I liked how the difficulty gradually ramped up and got to the right amount of challenging in the end. Maybe I would change the that shots are counted even if you are just shooting zombies. Right now it seems to be the best strategy to just focus on the ball(s). Thanks for making the hole so forgiving and not making me putt a million times with zombies around :D

Dungeon of Amplidi by godsboss 2018-05-13T14:48:51Z

The dungeon building was really awesome! Could use some more depth to it. Right now there seems to be no real point in dropping in goblins except for the fun :D

RaceTD by ThiefViolinist 2018-04-26T22:02:30Z

Interesting take on racing meets TD. We did a game with those genres as well ;) I really liked the graphics and choice of music. It took me some time to understand that the towers act more as a barricade/bumper. I was able to win on my second go by building walls of towers and focus on keeping the lower parts of the track clean :)

Car Defense by cavi 2018-05-13T16:29:59Z

Nice mashup of the two genres! It's fun to see people who chose the same genres but came up with a completely different game :)

Infinite Typer by theamazingb 2018-04-24T21:20:03Z

Awesome graphics and sound! Really difficult game. I would appreciate a noob mode :D I just kept on running into cars, timing is really hard.

Alien Holes by bazld 2018-04-25T20:40:19Z

I love the concept! It was really challenging but I managed to get an amazing score of 2 :D Having more control over the camera would have been nice and maybe a slightly weaker laser would have helped. I basically had to aim at the balls from the top to control them and sometimes they glitched through the world. Making the hole a bit more forgiving would also be cool. Overall still a solid Compo entry!

Pretty Pretty Pirates by Matt Fabius 2018-05-13T14:38:42Z

Really funny idea! It would be great to have some form of feedback that you actually selected a character. Also mouse versus keyboard seems a bit unfair :D

Goal Defense by Mau 2018-04-24T21:14:50Z

Nice idea. To me it felt like the best strategy was lining up until you hit an enemy and just sit there until he dies. Maybe add a little more variation in the shots to make it more about catching those balls. A little bit of sound would also go a long way. Cool to see a mobile first game in the jam :)

Aggroculture by primitive-concept 2018-04-25T05:55:45Z

Cool concept! At first I was focusing too much on shooting the enemies. But once I realised that I only need them for resources the game became a lot more fun. The enemies were quite fast and small which made it a bit difficult and sometimes the hitboxes were a bit unforgiving. I mostly watered the plants with my own blood because otherwise I had to really be lucky for the enemies to get close. I would have liked more feedback on which plants are watered instead of just the slight change in shade. But still a really cool game!

Wild Cards by Adtberp 2018-04-26T19:36:00Z

Holy shit. I wanted to rate some games, yet here I am 2 hours later having only played this game. The LD version definitely has some problems but you fixed most of them already. At first I just completely ignored the fact that you can throw away cards and the game felt very difficult. But after realizing my mistake the game became kind of easy by just focusing on the bow. I still haven't figured out if you can win the game. Definitely my game of the jam so far. Would love to see this continued. If it got some more depth like deck building I would spend money for it. Amazing work!

Hats on Clouds by Sibi 2018-04-24T21:23:28Z

@ZaneDD @bobgar Thank you so much. Yeah the controls were a bit of a pain for us as well. Just couldn't get them to the point where we liked them, but believe me they were much worse just shortly before submitting ;) Tutorialization also had to take a back seat and got put into the description.

Math Drag Racer - First Ludum Dare and First Game Ever. by marioman68 2018-04-24T21:04:02Z

Cool concept and congrats on your first completed game :) Unfortunately the best strategy seems to be being as slow as possible with the answers instead of as quikc as possible because you keep accelerating and the time is slowed. Also I wouldn't mind having a little longer track and sub-second timing ;) Keep on going!

Rhythm Racing by Sammy6 2018-04-24T20:38:41Z

Wow, that was difficult. I am already bad at rhythm games and the multitasking made didn't help, so I was mostly crawling along :D That being said, I really loved the music and the art style. Feels very polished and probably a lot of fun if you are any good at this type of game ;)

BallRunner by Sode 2018-04-25T05:39:38Z

Wow only 10 years old and already making game with Unity. I enjoyed my time with this game. Especially the level where you had to be on 2 different sides with the balls. That really showed the potential of the idea. Keep it up!

Dodobrawl by RustyMonky 2018-04-26T20:31:14Z

Nice little game. There didn't seem to be too much strategy but I liked the card variety. I didn't really think the timer was necessary but since you are only playing one card anyway it wasn't too bad. Nice art style!

Ms Grunhilde's Sandwiches by pparadigm 2018-04-26T20:43:27Z

What a lovely little vignette! You have an amazing style of writing. I could really see the scene unfolding in my head and felt connected to the characters. A shame that the game was so short as I was just settling in while making some lovely sandwiches! Also the text was a bit hard to read and I would have loved some more gimmicks like the magical turning sandwiches into bread that's already there. I tried delivering just bread or the knife or building 3-sliced sandwiches but to no avail :( The controls and entire presentation were as smooth as the peanut butter!

Ms Grunhilde's Sandwiches by pparadigm 2018-04-26T22:09:54Z

@pparadigm Thanks for the reply and again for the wonderfully relaxing experience amongst all those crazy games :D I hope you enjoy your first rating session in a jam. It's always my favorite part :)

SPORTS by Forest 2018-04-24T20:57:11Z

good game..well done...nice job :D Really great game! Maybe having a bit more control over the ball would have been nice. I was mostly clearing out enemies since the AI was much better at actually handling the ball ^^ Other than that a really brilliant game. I went back to try and salvage my first huge loss but got beat in the last few seconds. The visuals are stunning although I would have liked for the weapons to have some more impact/over the top animations (the sword one is already perfect). Overall a crazy and fun game!

Fishy by ProWolf 2018-04-25T21:04:06Z

Awesome concept and presentation together with the code! Really shows you how simple it can be. I ended up binding the commands to hotkeys on my keyboard :D It was still quite a button mash fest to get to the ring. Some more decision making would probably help but might deter from the minimalism. Really cool entry!

Fight for the Mike! by Eiyeron 2018-05-13T14:29:38Z

Nice art and cool concept! Unfortunately it was hard for me to figure out any kind of strategy. It was mostly just selecting my guys and sending them towards the enemies. Good little compo entry!

Grow Germinate upGrade entanGle by justalocalhero 2018-04-25T06:26:51Z

Nice game but I had some trouble with getting the resources I wanted. Especially getting more suns. I was mostly just hammering E to get enough resources since there didn't seem to be anything bad happening to you anyway. Could use some balancing but I enjoyed the art and music and had a relaxed time :)

Fatty Boy Run by lyha 2018-04-26T21:19:02Z

Amazing visuals and sound! For me the best strategy seemed to be to only go for one color so you didn't have to worry about the match 3 part which unfortunately kinda defeats the purpose ^^ And in the end I died with a score of 97 although I made the right posture. Maybe it was because I was a little off to the side somehow. I would have also like if the game sped up some more and the fatty boy became a real runner ;) Except for those nitpicks I had a blast :)

Crane Command by Hyohane 2018-04-26T21:08:23Z

Cool little game. Unfortunately it crashed for me and I would suggest distirbuting the game without an installer next time ;) Really unique genre with the crane game and well executed. Maybe there were too many units at the start because it felt a bit static. Btw is there actually a healer? Awesome music and presentation!

Crane Command by Hyohane 2018-04-26T22:05:18Z

@Hyohane Thanks for the reply. The crash occured when I was accidentally trying to drop my unit on top of a another. So I was just unlucky not to see the unit :D Thanks for the clarification and the tip with the mouse over. Didn't even think about trying that since the game is controlled with the keyboard ^^

Supreme Racing by Inusun 2018-05-13T15:10:41Z

Nice work! As others have said the game is too fast to make meaningful decisions. Also the typing doesn't really blend in that well with the racing. It seems to be just a more difficult interface. I loved the crashes and it was smart to stick the player to a lane!

SmackPaint! Combat Painting with Ross Bob by GregWLyons 2018-04-24T20:29:45Z

Very unique experience. Great use of the theme. The controls could use some fine tuning and I'm not sure what the red pen-like drawing on the canvas is about. Other than that a great little piece!

Ludum Dare Review Meta Game by mrPenguin 2018-04-25T20:22:05Z

What an amazing idea! I just love all things meta! And since I have no friends over I decided to let the computer play, which became a meta game in itself :P Btw the third puddle is totally OP! You only need an average of 18.16 dice throws to get to 5 stars and it wins 64.37% of the games with 3 players where all pick different puddles. The second puddle has a crazy variance though. Thanks for this cool game!

Augmented Reality Virtual Pet Stealth - Browser Playable by PadenPierry 2018-05-13T15:03:25Z

Brilliant idea! I have never seen those genres combined. It was a bit difficult to tell if the dog could see me and to know when and why I lost. But otherwise solid execution. Very unique art style!

Space Fighters by Specu3800 2018-05-13T14:56:35Z

Awesome game! I liked the build up of different enemies. I don't really see the racing game part except for the visuals. The sound effects are just amazing :D

LD59 — Signal

Beams of Bermuda by blinry 2026-05-01T18:46:11Z

I crashed 27 ships in my playthrough! It was surprising how much control you have over the course of the ships.

SYNCROBAN by Flatgub 2026-05-05T12:00:15Z

Game of the jam for me! Really incredible puzzle mechanic, perfectly on theme and just super cute!

Lil' Lost SPARK-Es by fractalsunrise 2026-05-01T19:04:23Z

Very simple mechanic, yet highly engaging. It almost felt like herding cattle or a bunch of kids that would run off. A bit fiddly at times to navigate the corridors and to place 4 SPARK-Es on a single floor panel. I would have also like some sort of off-screen indicator for the floor panels and SPARK-Es to prevent so much searching and hunting. I definitely kept having the feeling of "just one more level", so great job!

Radio Satellite by Saffwong 2026-05-01T18:23:45Z

Loved figuring it all out and it's surprisingly difficult to reconstruct the waves. Also loved the little tetris minigame, definitely added to the overall mood.

Babushka Tower by SID37 2026-05-05T11:22:45Z

Wow this felt like an interesting mix of a cozy game and a rage game. Really cool atmoshpere!

Feelin' Crabby by Blues 2026-05-05T12:15:27Z

Love the wario ware feeling

Downtown Delivery Clown by BACON BEAST 2026-05-01T17:58:34Z

Very fun to play and excellent sound design! The police do get quite expensive :D

Aether Raiders by aimozg 2026-05-05T07:41:09Z

Reminds me a lot of agar.io. The start can be a bit rough depending on what spawns around you. Very cool take on the theme!
