That music is real nice! Once I get under 2 mins, the game turns to pretty choppy, even in lower resolutions. I wish I could keep going because closing the wholes while dodging and defending is fun.

I thought the list of people saved and short descriptions (parent, separatist, etc.) were a nice touch.
The commentary from the nurse is nice, but I would have liked it to be more meaningful. Sometimes the nurse obviously gives you a 'that's the wrong choice' response, but I'm not clear why. I think some games like this have the player choice, then the nurse responds, and then the player can affirm or change their choice based on the response.
Overall, I liked the game though. Quite a bit of work and the backstory, names, belongings, and all the little details help add to the experience.
The blocks hitting the ground felt very satisfying. The sound for them breaking was a bit weird, like glass though. Controls felt crisp, I could move around and I figured out what to do based on the rolling balls and blocks without having to be told through dialogue or exposition.
I liked this a lot. Cheers!
@josehzz Thanks for the feedback! I like those ideas, with some time we could implement them. As for why central America is immune? I don't know, it wasn't an intention. Perhaps a bug? Perhaps a feature? Perhaps a commentary on the region?
Hah, I like how the game started to make me want to get the things that were told to me to 'avoid'. I like how things changed when I got hit by stuff and eventually I learned the 'avoid' things don't kill me but make things different. Well done. Cheers!
Boy, a crab's life is hard! The Music and SFX are real nice, particularly the crunch sound when we flip over. I think the best strategy we found was to generate momentum to do rolls but still didn't get to the end if there's an end. The artwork is real crisp and colorful, too. Nice job. Cheers!
I like the beat and the characters look good. I really could have use a cheat sheet because remembering the button combinations was very difficult for me! I had to write them down. Good job. Cheers!
Hah, moving the soccer ball was pretty easy, which felt nice. Well done. Cheers!
Reminds me of Parappa the Rapper. The timing is just as unforgiving and it's a nice thing like 'give me space on the dance floor fools'! Nicely done. Cheers!
Oh good lord, you took the analogies for Hearthstone and chess literally and it's a nice demo of well, they aren't the same =) You did lots here to accomplish multi and AI, nicely done! Cheers!
haha, turn based bullet hell. It's actually more difficult, contrary to what I thought going into playing the game. Cheers!
The smacking sounds are really nice. Cool take on tower defense. I wish there was a volume control for the music. Well done. Cheers!
What are the controls? I tried playing it but couldn't interact with any of the things that looked like items or the enemies.
Surprisingly difficult but the levels are short enough that re-trying doesn't seem so bad. I like the main menu art.
Nice puzzle game that has inspiration from chess and gravity.
I thought I was a fast typer until I played this game. Hah! Cheers.
omg, harder than it sounds! I like the car grabbing the points and the enemies. The controls take a cue from driving and not pacman, which just adds to this crazy genre mixing. Well done. Cheers!
haha! I liked when you hit a car, really dramatic with the screams. I think it would be easy at first but was pleasantly surprised. Well done. Cheers!
Time manipulation is a favorite source of many game mechanics. I think this can be expanded to utilize the time mechanic already in place. Some of the enemies feel unfair because they operate with different rules than others. A quick color change would have helped here. I appreciate the length of the game, some games overstay their welcome, but this one has a good length. Well done. Cheers!
Blowing up the items and watching them fly into my hands was pretty exciting! Did you also make the artwork, sound, and music for the game? Well done. Cheers!
@PronomicalArtist Oh, I just assumed this was a jam when linked in the Lumpy Discord. Very impressive that it's a compo entry!
I liked the mixing of genres and the phone use, but level 4 crashed my entire computer =(
A stealth truck game, what a great addition to the theme this time. I didn't have issues with the driving or turning headlights on/off, but it was difficult to stealth through. Nice job. Cheers!
hey, I was fortunate enough to play this game as a group on the TVGS stream the other night. We had a great time. I think I would have enjoyed a calibration level or something, where I said one thing and then saw specifically what it created. But maybe that's because we were in a room with everyone talking, so bars came from all over. Thank you for submitting, this game; it turned out to be a great coop party game! Well done. Cheers!
The beatboxing soundtrack was memorable. Nice!
haha, cool! Has an RPG system too and the monsters are resistant to things that make sense. Well done here, I liked it. Cheers!
Hey, I played this game on the TVGS stream. The credits scene was a blast and the controls are pretty crisp. The graphics are clear and simple too and go well together. The card mechanic can work with a game like this, but as others have mentioned and I mentioned on the stream, the RNG is a large point of frustration. When thing I remember reading about the game was to be 'careful' about which card to choose, but that didn't affect my choices at all while playing. I would try to unload duplicates all the time unless it was an up arrow and I never felt like I regretted that choice. Cheers!
I dig it! Others tried the typing and platform mixing and this one has it so the typing also comes with a strategic element, the ability to QUEUE commands. Well done. Cheers!
I think if you had appropriately tagged it as a "romance" and "idle", more people would be willing to play it. "Abuse" isn't a genre and the combination unfortunately reads as clickbait for "oh, look at this edgy game".
Even if we are to assume that "abuse" is somehow a genre, "Abuse" doesn't make much sense because the verbal abuse comes from the Waifu and the clicking doesn't really feel like abuse because there's no feedback for it and the clicking "abuse" actually benefits the Waifu (up to a point), so thematically the word "abuse" also doesn't make sense, hence it reads more so like clickbait for sensationalism.
As for the game, I am glad it is labeled NSFW and has a censor option. I played with the censor off but it's nice to know these considerations are taken into account even for game jams. Personally, I am not a fan of the "idle" game genre, so the clicking mechanic, like in cookie clicker (although in cookie clicker the game still runs when the tab isn't active), didn't personally appeal to me. However, I could clearly label the genre right away, so obv that speaks well for the mechanics. Overall, I think this is a fine waifu idle romance game, which is why it's unfortunate that the labeling is such a turn off.
Music gets me pretty hyped for pong! I liked the inclusion of angle rotation and some of the enemies, like one that does what the player does, a true homage to the trope "face onself". I liked it, well done. Cheers!
hey, so the game reminded me of a 2d superhot in some ways. The procedural nature of the levels worked sometimes and other times, my person ended up right near the finish goal. A great thing about the levels were their size, felt like a good size for what I was working with. The sounds are def. scifi inspired and worked with the little green space man (marine?). I enjoyed the little personality in the comment box, too. Snaaaaaaaakkkeee! Nice compo entry, well done. Cheers!
hey, I am a big fan of the menu system being part of the game/controls. The lil' tractor felt like moving around a toy tractor and the hairpin turns were quite annoying, but that seemed like part of the game. The moving around the obstacles was fun, too. I would have liked the physical objects to feel different when hitting them or having some destruction dynamics. Nicely done. Cheers!
lol, so this is why text adventures aren't platformers. Well done. I liked how difficult and odd it was to type to move in a platformer.
Nicely done! I liked the music, I just wish there was more to do.
For others, Windows is supported at least because that's what I ran Hot V.2 on.
I missed the game on the TVGS stream last night, but I am glad I was able to play it today. The driving was a bit quick and imo worked better in the later levels when it seemed like the levels were built with the speed and jumping in mind. Sometimes then it felt like I was speed running something. The game had simple but clean presentation. Nice job. Cheers!
Hey, I really like the mixing of these genres. There's some bugs that got in the way of me progressing far, but the core idea is pretty cool.
lol, I enjoyed this. Angels and Demons waiting at a bar, matching them up like a dating service. Easy to play and the pacing is pretty nice, kept me going. Well done. Cheers!
I liked the quizzes providing a break when things got hectic and the ability to nullify damage. Well done. Cheers!
@Exlloyd @Darby Costello @Tomavatars @jgundersen @mmyhre @Seanale @Ben Pearson @geck0 @Rapter @sandra @Sibi @Christian Williames Thank you for your feedback and for playing! If you like the painting and hate the timer, you can complete the first level quickly by painting randomly on it and then just not click next level. You'll be able to paint to your heart's content =)
Happy gaming!
@lavwa Thank you. I think you really captured the essence of your cloud friends, so many dancing happy clouds together.
@Linkwin I would be interested in the screenshot. If you think it's bad to share here, my twitter is @gregoryWLyons1. I'll want to do some fixes this week and next.
Hey Everyone, I had some time to update the game with a Creative Mode level. Everything else is the same as the basic, but now you can paint to your heart's content! @Highsight
@MaxKlimenok The original idea was to throw ragdolls at the screen and have them paint according to the parts that hit, so you're not too far from the original concept =)
Hah, that camera shake kill seems overboard but works I think to highlight the slashiness of such an otherwise simple (graphically) game. I can see how this can become addicting, moving the ball and scoring. Nice idea and nicely implemented! Cheers!
Nice addition to this 'distracted gaming' genre that's been growing. The art looked really nice and the driving and reading made simple things become difficult. Well done. Cheers!
I enjoyed the sprites and the music the best. I didn't feel like there was a risk/reward system in the runner or puzzle mechanic. If I hit the wrong color, I could still hit the correct color, so I didn't feel any tension while playing the game. In my head, I imagined the wizard flying around and doing all these cool moves that require some strategy and planning. The controls are quite crisp and responsive, when I hit a button I always hit the button and it did the thing. Nice job. Cheers!
The mars/alien scene is really nice. The grappling and shooting are really difficult tho! I enjoyed the music too.
