Rather fun! Walking the large distances and having to restock bombs where a little annoying though... I also really liked the sprite of that blobby monster thing XD

Nice concept and it well explain in the game.
But I see some points improvements points. By far your level/room is too large, it's annoying to go and back between chest and food many and many times.
It's a bit strange to switch between full keyboard input during the "adventure" time and mouse for cooking,
I've got some meat.. Guess it's about planting bombs and watching these poor animals turn into meat. Good instructions in the game, so playing was easy.
Biggest kichten ever ;-) But at least I am free ^^ The Graphics are great but the game has some lack of challenge. Everythings seems very polished.
Lotta fun! I enjoyed it
I get hungry!
Blowing up the items and watching them fly into my hands was pretty exciting! Did you also make the artwork, sound, and music for the game? Well done. Cheers!
@GregWLyons Yes as per the compo rules everything must be made by the creator. Thank you for playing! I appreciate it! :)
@PronomicalArtist Oh, I just assumed this was a jam when linked in the Lumpy Discord. Very impressive that it's a compo entry!
Fun collection game! Some lovely sprites and icons nicely executed If you get chance give our Jam Mechasnek a go :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mechasnek
@Lagman9000 I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I'm checking out your game now :)
Congrats on finishing the game yourself! I enjoyed the music.
Great job on this - my only complaint is that things seem unnecessarily spread out. Would have been nice if there were more obstacles or a gameplay reason for things to be so spread out.
Interesting concept. Just a few notes for things to think about on your next jam :) (Also forgive me if I touch on things that you planned on having in it... but I can only judge based on whats there): - Most people have said this, but the room is too large. There isn't anything wrong with large rooms, per se, but if your room is large with nothing really inside it, then it'll feel tiring to walk back and forth without variety. - There isnt much "challenge" in it. Maybe you intended on having enemies to make it difficulty, but this would have made the game a lot more interesting - Similar to above, maybe you intended on having more with it, but a bomb seems like an odd choice. Maybe there's further mechanics to explore with it, but if there isn't other intentions, maybe a knife would have been enough?
This was a great start. Keep pushing forward on it!
I always like cooking games, so you appealed to me from the get go. Overall gathering stuff felt nice, but because of only having three bombs/big room/slowish walking speed it felt like it took a long time to get things. It also felt unclear to me how much of each resource was needed for things.
Also the blobby dude sprite was very good.
@ctran13 as this was a compo, there was a limited amount of time on my hands. If I had gone for the Jam I would have probably added more adventure elements besides, the exploring and use of bombs. Making the room large was a decision I made from the start to make the player explore, now I see that it was probably not the best idea without adding more content.
I really appreciate your points and your feedback and will definitely be looking to improve things for the next jam :)
@Autumnotopia Thank you for playing. The big room I admit, might have been too big. The reason I made things unclear was to let the player figure out what made sense to use for creating the recipes, but I did leave a few clues you could find.
