LD42 — Running out of space

Disaster at Starbase 7 by rjhelms 2018-08-30T19:23:40Z

There you go, 20 ratings! Although the graphics were lacking a little polish (good effort, though), I liked the concept and the audio. It would've been niche to be alerted when you're taking damage. All in all, nice entry!

Ice n Fire by Jiri_One 2018-08-14T18:41:14Z

Very nice, like the visuals and the concept. My movement seemed to freeze every now and then, is that normal?

Ice n Fire by Jiri_One 2018-08-14T19:15:39Z

@jiri-one Linux+Firefox #opensource

Ice n Fire by Jiri_One 2018-08-14T19:50:30Z

@jiri-one That may be, don't know whether GameMaker would have any problems with that.

Ice n Fire by Jiri_One 2018-08-14T21:53:31Z

@jiri-one That's odd, nevermind. Thanks anyhow!

Overwrite by stevenjmiller 2018-08-14T16:42:50Z

That looks so cool, wish I could try it. (Linux/HTML only :( )

Overwrite by stevenjmiller 2018-08-14T19:13:50Z

It works wonderfully, thank you! I really loved the concept, it was well executed and properly polished. The narrative was humerous and mildly heart-wrenching. A very good entry indeed! (A bit of music might've been nice.)

Inventorious by MatiErnst 2018-08-14T18:24:11Z

A textbook example of good tutorial design: Introduce one mechanic at a time, and don't let them continue until they've sussed it out. Probably the best game I've played so far in terms of visuals and concept. Well done!

Stepping Stones by Ithildin 2018-08-21T18:19:15Z

An interesting and very challenging concept! Could do with a little polish, but all else is well!

Gone Rouge by Brickkid512 2018-08-31T20:41:33Z

Not a bad entry, liked the visuals and music, controls were rather difficult and a little boring. Liked the procedural generation, although wasn't easy when the exit was near the edges.

Scrap Field by ping78 2018-08-31T18:51:27Z

Wished there were a small tutorial or something thereof. Liked the idea, nice feel to everything, audio might've been nice, and I couldn't sell myself. Pity. ;)

It's All Falling Apart Like ... by loyance 2018-08-31T19:08:00Z

Liked the idea, well presented, although I did find the controls a little peculiar.

Breathing Space by goffmog 2018-09-01T12:44:53Z

A pretty neat entry, liked the writing and the idea.

Get Off My Space by Jungle 2018-09-02T07:05:54Z

Like the artwork, both visually on audibly, nice premise, found the tractors rather tank-like (could perhaps take fewer hits).

Neon Sign Placer Pro by uvwar 2018-08-30T19:06:43Z

What an odd idea! Has a nice feel to it, although it seems to lack something.

LANDESCAPE by designernap 2018-08-16T06:11:20Z

Sorry, can't play without a Linux version :(

LANDESCAPE by designernap 2018-08-16T21:01:56Z

@designernap Hahahahahaha, indeed, you shall be rewarded for your success ;)

Colony Builder by The Vall 2018-09-02T06:48:04Z

Would've liked a little more description, was rather confused by the mechanics. Things like 'oh, there's a limited amount of ore? Why?' or 'Is the red stuff corruption?' or 'Why is my oxygen going down?'

Gravity Hook by GlacierEclipse 2018-09-02T20:49:03Z

Would like to play, but I'm currently having difficulty with flash >:( Will try out tomorrow, if all turns out well...

Follow Line by mukult 2018-09-01T11:40:40Z

A really nice entry! Good concept, well delivered. Liked the procedural generation, although I didn't notice that the spikes were deadly. Would've been nice to have home-made visuals to fit better and some music to capture the mood.

SANDSTORM by Lucien Catonnet 2018-08-16T05:55:57Z

Wish there were a Linux version. :(

HexaGlitcher by JOrbits 2018-08-13T18:58:14Z

Tried playing it now on macOS using Safari, game loaded and music started but no visuals or repsonse after loading. Will try again later on Linux+Firefox. #opensource4life

HexaGlitcher by JOrbits 2018-08-13T19:45:49Z

Yep, worked fine on Linux+Firefox. My opinion:

+ Concept + Variety + SFX + Shoot speed + Synth - No 'return to menu' - Instadeath with added bloom on extreme - No highscore - Camera (Cinemachine might be worth a look) - Humor

All in all, 4/5.

Qix by alobker 2018-09-01T10:36:22Z

I recognise this concept from somewhere, but it's nicely done and fits the theme. Would've been good to point out that your vulnerable while drawing.

Datacell: a dungeon crawl by Peer 2018-08-30T19:02:20Z

Like the retro-feel, although I had difficulty finding the controls out and the overall game isn't very innovative.

Finding the Path by poohshoes 2018-08-14T17:58:44Z

I like the way the fragments crystallise to form a coherent maze, and the fact that there were multiple objects to be brought to their places of belonging.

Blowup by Gildar76 2018-09-01T12:36:14Z

A very nice entry with a clever twist on a classic game. Liked the fact that it had music, although I think the art could've fitted together better (e.g. faster music, as it's got a lot of movement in it).

Knight's Crush by Zaphire 2018-09-02T06:56:21Z

Jumping is impossible! And fun. The idea is nice, though not very original and, in browser, it would be good to capture the mouse, so you cloud turn around freely. There was also quite a bit of lag, and the pictures could've been more suited to the other visuals (which are very nice).

Warehouse by James Dunlap 2018-08-13T20:55:56Z

Hahahahaha, not bad, love the fact that I can win easily by putting all the boxes by the exit and just push them on. They even float through each other! Was a little confused by the interface and the camera angle was challenging, but all in all I'd give it a 8/10.

Zachary's Memory by namnam 2018-08-16T21:15:38Z

Une joue trés jolie. A beautiful game, not too different from mine in inspiration, but one that tells a story rather than provide you with a puzzle. It's heart-wrenching to get a memory wrong, having it be lost for all eternity... c'est une idée trop triste. All in all, a very artistic game, although I didn't find it 'fun' per say. (Corriges-moi STP, je veux entraine ma francais terrible. XD)

Zachary's Memory by namnam 2018-08-17T05:17:43Z

Hahahahaha, merci beaucoup!

Petris by JoshyOshKenoshi 2018-08-31T17:49:52Z

Like the fact that it had the 'PETRIS' bonus. Good sound and polished graphics, but not very original and a little boring. (Some music might've livened it up too)

Dear Leader's Diet Plan by Historymaker118 2018-08-13T20:29:10Z

That was... unexpected? Fun idea, but fiendishly difficult for poor old me. XD

Rick Dervish - Space Cadet by coldfire83 2018-09-01T10:05:55Z

What a good idea! Needs some polish, but nut a bad entry all-in-all.

ToFSDfSftPDRRoDwL by Xwilarg 2018-08-14T17:04:07Z

THE STUFF HAPPENING!!! Well, 5 stars on the visuals there. Didn't find the concept too inspiring, but it was well executed.

Take care of her by KiiroHanabi 2018-08-30T19:34:24Z

I believe I've seen a similar game, also from a french developer, this LD. Loved the crisp & clean aesthetics, although reading tons of text isn't really my thing. All in all, une bonne joue avec une air trés plaisant. (Corrige-moi stp, j'ai une orthographie terrible XD)

Take care of her by KiiroHanabi 2018-08-31T17:14:45Z

Tu as raison, j'ai des difficultés avec le/la etc. XD Thank you for your kind and supprotive feedback ;)

The Last Robot by siimer 2018-09-01T11:41:38Z

Wish I could play, HTML5/Linux only I'm afraid :(

The Last Robot by siimer 2018-09-01T12:25:47Z

@paveldlouhy I see! Thanks for the heads-up!

The Last Robot by siimer 2018-09-01T12:31:20Z

I found it very difficult and mildly confusing, although I did enjoy the music and the artwork. It also seems to be a fitting entry.

Zombie Wackers by CG_Fred 2018-09-01T11:35:17Z

Pity I couldn't try this game, HTML5/Linux only :(

MinoFall by Ashment 2018-08-14T18:31:24Z

Very nice, instant 5 on the visuals. The game is fun, but I find it a little too RNG-heavy.

Surrounded by Traffle 2018-08-14T16:02:53Z

Lovely mechanic, like the fact that the dead cells still have physics.

Postman by tulipekoni 2018-08-21T18:14:49Z

A lovely, nicely packaged game! Beautiful audio, but not too new of an idea. All in all, nice entry!

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-16T06:02:49Z

Vigorous visuals, snazzy SFX and giddy gameplay. A good addition to the ranks of LD42! Pity you didn't manage to get all the things you wanted in...

AsterVoid by F1Krazy 2018-08-31T20:45:23Z

Nice game, liked visuals and SFX, music might've been nice, controls were very hard but could get used to them, could've been a little more innovative.

out of control by ahmedthebest 2018-08-31T17:34:52Z

A nice first entry. Liked the very original take on the audio, but had difficulty understanding the mechanics (what's that thing in the middle? Why are there different files? Are some stronger than others? etc.). Having a huge idea is a very difficult thing to deal with, especially under time pressure, but that's what practice is for ;) . If you get the chance, try improving your English by reading or watching videos with subtitles - it can help a lot!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-13T08:08:13Z

@turbo-torbo Glad you enjoyed it! @devio I agree, I couldn't figure out how to convey it without using actual instructions... Thanks for the feedback!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-13T20:20:15Z

@historymaker118 Brilliant!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-13T20:34:22Z

@telefrag-entertainment Very happy to hear it! @james-dunlap That's really kind of you, thank you.

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-13T20:44:03Z

@zeaga Thank you!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-14T10:23:02Z

@kaitlin-quick Hahahahahaha, that's good to hear. Thanks!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-14T16:40:51Z

@stevenjmiller Wow! A picture, handmade, for *me*? Yes, I had had something like that planned but I was far too close to the deadline to add it in I'm afraid. Thank you!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-14T16:52:34Z

Thank you!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-14T19:04:56Z

@pace That would've been a very good idea, I had thought of placing the player so it didn't just pop out a single letter before hitting something, but that might have helped. Glad you enjoyed! @frozenfire92 Well spotted! And well done for the score!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-16T17:33:19Z

@swess Thank you, will do! @awix I was sadly short on time, as I had to compose and practice the piece in an hour (before the others went to bed), which forced me to keep it simple, being the terrible pianist I am. XD But I shall leave more time for it next year ;) Naturally, I couldn't resist your offer to check your game out and have provided my humble opinion. @lucien-catonnet I know, I added 'good words' that remove placed blocks when used, but I didn't get to balance it properly so they were incredibly rare. I love word games too! But BookBinding was just sooo difficult, I hardly got over 110 IQ points. Thank you! @derek-volker I agree, I was working with 8x8 sprites as placeholders and writing the font took ages, so I didn't have any time to pretty things up with nice patterns, let alone colours! But I tried my best to make it look clean and simplistic, instead of making a half-done job of it. Thank you so much! @joloujed Glad you enjoyed! @designernap I know, there really isn't much guidance on that side of things, but thank you very much! @anstabo Don't worry, there wasn't much to read. XD Thank you!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-16T19:06:03Z

@linus Thank you! That's a really good suggestion! I absolutely agree about the colour, but I ran out of time and didn't have a clue how, so I rolled with it.

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-16T19:39:22Z

@corbak Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-16T21:16:41Z

@dasun Thank you so much, it makes me so happy you liked it!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-17T15:44:45Z

@namnam Thank you very much! I must agree with all the points you brought up there, marvelous feedback! (Ran out of time to do any of them, though :( )

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-17T19:55:39Z

@kapiteinkoekwous Thank you for the wonderful feedback! Mechanically I found it too difficult to make an end, so the player just decides themselves by pressing 'R'. Glad you enjoyed! It was good to see you didn't notice the words could cross (like crosswords/scrabble).

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-21T18:26:34Z

Sorry everyone, was away 'til now! @drtizzle I like to think of it as 'clean' or 'sterile', but I know exactly what you mean! I absolutely agree, thank you! @tulipekoni Glad you like it! Thank you so much for your kind words! @ithildin Wonderful! Thanks for pointing it out, I didn't even think of the mouse, it just sort of worked XD

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-31T18:44:04Z

@drikdrok Thanks for playing! It's not just you, I forgot to play-test it properly and the 'good' words occur far too seldom. Glad you enjoyed!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-08-31T19:36:45Z

@danielblanco3d Thank you! Glad you found it intuitive, that was something I really wanted to get right.

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-09-01T11:46:13Z

@cg-fred Thank you very much! @mukult Hmmm... not sure what you mean there. The mouse aiming didn't work? Or it wasn't clear whether the word fit? Anyhow, glad you enjoyed! @loyance Thank you, glad you enjoyed! @siimer They are, and there are positive words too, but I didn't balance the RNG properly. I agree, ran out of time though (finished 3 minutes before end :O ). Thank you!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-09-01T12:36:56Z

@gildar76 Glad you enjoyed!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-09-02T06:39:07Z

@quicklyer Bwahahahahaha, my evil plan has worked! Now I shall RULE THE WORLD...maybe. Glad you enjoyed! I agree that the word pool is small and I couldn't think of a clever way to fix the word-over-identical-word problem. Thank you for the feedback!

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-09-02T20:50:03Z

Glad you liked it! Sorry, didn't manage to get flash fixed to play your game :(.

CLAUSTRO by Blinkenlights 2018-09-03T14:59:23Z

@rjhelms Thank you!

Unbelievable Space Runner by Derek Volker 2018-08-16T06:08:39Z

A simple concept, not something very original though. The music is brilliant though, and the artwork nice! I really liked the Idea of the player getting quicker step-by-step, instead of gradually speeding up.

Brick It! by Vladadamm 2018-08-31T18:41:36Z

Nice concept, visuals and audio. Well polished, didn't find it too original though.

Robo Revolt by Blazingbeta 2018-09-02T07:01:28Z

I found the attack charge very slow, which made the game focus on navigating the terrain. Liked the idea of compression, and all was well communicated. Some music and more polished visuals would've done it a service.

Shrinking Ceiling by drikdrok 2018-08-31T18:44:52Z

Pity I can't try it, I'm Linux/HTML5 only :(

Bookbinding by caeonosphere 2018-08-16T17:13:03Z

My, that was incredibly tough! Wish there were a 'slow mode' for useless people like me. XD Absolutely brilliant concept, though I felt it was almost more running out of time than space.

Dataphobia by Shozou 2018-08-14T16:52:14Z

What a smart idea! Like the music, the visuals (although the could be a little more polished) look nice, especially the UI, but I find it a pity that you're almost forced to pick certain abilities... All in all, nice entry!

Achtung die Schlange by Team Yarn 2018-08-31T19:40:16Z

A challenge! Thought the controls were like snake at first, but got used to it quickly. Not so fun on your own, an AI might've been fun. The idea of putting it on an obstacle course is very original.

Claustro by Taimidori 2018-08-13T20:43:26Z

Hahahahaha, you got my game's name first, mine's under ludum-dare/42/claustro-1, but how different they are! Always nice to hear your not the only one who's new to this. I liked the visuals, although I found the smooth/pixel hybrid didn't quite fit. The take on the theme is very original, although I'm not sure whether it's 'running out' as you still have the same space, just not visible. All in all, good effort, keep on!

Armageddon by Swess 2018-08-16T17:17:46Z

Certainly interesting and suitable for the theme, well done! The visuals look very interesting, though they don't go easy on the eyes, and the audio is very good. All in all, a solid entry.

ASTROPOCALYPSE by artish357 2018-08-30T19:39:32Z

A brilliant idea, nicely executed, although the instructions were a bit dense. It got very hectic at times!

Bunny Ice Cream Maker by rkhadder 2018-08-31T19:13:10Z

A pretty good game: funny, nice SFX, pleasant visuals, certainly an unusual concept.

Squeezed Out by danielblanco3d 2018-08-31T19:04:57Z

An interesting concept, although I wasn't sure what to do in the beginning and found squeezing anything a challenge with such a small window. I liked the fact that the 'grid' was hexagonal, instead of the classic orthogonal. The squeeze could've been a little juicier (perhaps try recording a tomato) and, purely because I notice these things, I would've preferred e.g. 3/15 compared to 15/3.

Poisoned Palace by jordantanner 2018-08-30T19:13:25Z

I loved the ice boomerang thingy, a great addition. Nice looks, nice sound, quite difficult at times.

Don´t Hit The Ducks! by Joloujed 2018-08-16T06:09:54Z

Awwww, no Linux :(

Don´t Hit The Ducks! by Joloujed 2018-08-16T18:50:12Z

Not quite, Unity's only thrown out the .exe file, which is Windows-only. Mac uses .app files and Linux directly takes binaries (either .x86 or .x86_64). If you could export it for Linux though I'd gladly give it a shot.

Electric Sleep by uncannyvalley 2018-08-30T18:19:49Z

Doing some last-minute rating, love the look and feel, although I had trouble navigating at first and wasn't sure what my aim was.

Spaced Out by thislooksfun 2018-08-31T19:31:55Z

An interesting concept, like the challenge of finding 'the perfect planet'. Would've liked some audio though.

Grave Heart by very dark lord 2018-08-14T19:00:59Z

Very nice, loved it all, the artwork, the voiceacting, the humour, the contents, everything. I found the anti-aliasing a little strong though and I didn't find it too innovative. All in all, very good entry!

Summer's Lease by WrenPirate 2018-08-31T19:23:31Z

A nice and relaxing game, although I found it a stretch with the theme and would've liked some music to go with it.

Summer's Lease by WrenPirate 2018-09-01T07:08:18Z

Hahahahaha, sounds about right :)

EPIC THEATER by filgreen3 2018-08-14T16:22:07Z

I do like the idea, certainly quite original. Music and visuals were nicely matched. A few bugs, though.

EPIC THEATER by filgreen3 2018-08-14T16:37:48Z

Love the enthusiasm! ;)

Claustrophobic by Diego Burgos 2018-08-30T19:27:01Z

Sadly the UI seemed to be larger than the screen? Using Firefox. Will try again if fix possible.

CLAUSTROPHOBOI by turbo.torbo 2018-08-13T20:00:54Z

That looks brilliant. Sadly, I've only got Linux :(

Greenie Goes Right by quicklyer 2018-09-02T06:42:21Z

A very nice, simple game with surprising depth and nice polish. Can't think of anything I would improve, apart from perhaps some music. Well done!

Crumble by anstabo 2018-08-16T17:21:22Z

Oooh, I do like the visuals, and the music fits so well! I didn't find it too innovative, though. But nice entry!

Ludicrous Lift by ConnorH 2018-09-01T10:14:17Z

Well suited to the theme, but you get blocked in very quickly with no where to move...

Compression by JohnyF 2018-08-14T16:11:55Z

I LOVE the way the visuals change instead of a standard health/life bar. I found it very difficult, even on the easy setting, but I'm just terrible at these sorts of things in general. XD

Get To The Park by Michno 2018-08-30T19:19:04Z

Hahahahahaha, lovely animations, nice sound, found the controls very difficult though (almost a little annoying). I would recommend working with transform.translate instead of the physics engine for this sort of thing. If you'd prefer using physics, I might've added more friction to the 2D physics material. Hope that helps you with any future projects ;)

King of Bjorp by Colin Doody 2018-08-14T16:34:19Z

Very fun, like the fact that it has a wide range of support, be it input method or player amount. Found the controls rather difficult though.

Petri Panic! by Zeaga 2018-08-13T21:07:54Z

Brilliant! Everything works really well together. Not great on mood, but absolutely smashing in fun and theme. A solid 8/10 from me.

PS: How about adding screenshots to the page. Helps marketing etc. ;)

Petri Panic! by Zeaga 2018-08-13T21:07:55Z

Brilliant! Everything works really well together. Not great on mood, but absolutely smashing in fun and theme. A solid 8/10 from me.

Bunnymark by Azumin 2018-08-31T19:35:36Z

A fun little entry, missing audio and some more structure though.

Boxed by Devio 2018-08-13T20:05:17Z

Awwwww, really wanted to try this... No Linux version...

Boxed by Devio 2018-08-14T11:23:03Z

@devio Neither do I, but as long as you don't change anything that affects the game I don't see why not.

Boom Boom Farms! by Telefrag Entertainment 2018-08-13T20:47:42Z

What an odd idea! Looks wonderful with all the coins flying out left, right and center. XD

Plastic Patch Cleanup by Lars-Erik 2018-08-13T20:18:10Z

Found it a little boring I'm afraid to say, but it is very hard making a game using such basic tools. I liked the fact that it takes real-world problems as an inspiration.

The Gargoyle Landing by BoopsGames 2018-09-01T10:26:07Z

A very fun and intuitive game. Love the visuals, the animations and the concept. Would've preferred the block locking into a larger grid (instead of having half-block differences), as the shifting was difficult.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Super Gun Baby Run by KunoNoOni 2018-04-23T21:39:01Z

Beating up members of a potentially sentient alien race... What could possibly go wrong? Loved the animations.

Bullet Hell Breakout by schizoid2k 2018-04-23T16:44:21Z

My ball got stuck bouncing horizontally XD #playerskills Like the idea, although I found controlling the paddle quite difficult. Perhaps I would've used transform.Translate instead of rigidbody2D.AddForce?

CardRacer by Smooth 2018-04-24T07:31:53Z

Me five. And the Title of the page is still LD41 Compo

CardRacer by Smooth 2018-04-27T20:46:30Z

Reminds me very much of those old horse-race games. A little too RNG, would like to be able to have some choice/skill in it. And the Title of the page is still LD41 Compo. Good work!

Bullet Break by JCMonkey 2018-04-25T21:32:56Z

An unusual spin on the classic breakout. Not sure I've ever seen it with multiple balls and missing the blocks... The music got annoying rather quickly, but better have a little music than none at all, in my opinion.

Space Pong Invaders by MrMordem 2018-04-25T08:26:23Z

Wooooow, my mind just went for a walk. I'm a QWERTZ user, but that's the same as QWERTY with Y and Z swapped. Would be neat if you could figure out how to freeze it for other systems (that might not have JRE installed).

No Need To Get Frustrated by phi 2018-04-23T16:23:06Z

I could make up for my bad parcour by playing puzzles! Brilliant!

MATCH3+CONNECT4 by Sean S. LeBlanc 2018-04-23T18:29:31Z

IT'S SO POLISHED! You could sell this! Not that you should, I love donationware (because I can't afford anything *sob*). Absolutely brilliant.

Putt-Putt BOOM! by LandoSystems 2018-04-24T19:50:09Z

Sound effects, concept and the fact that YOU TRANSFORM INTO A SUBMARINE WHEN IN WATER made this game entirely worth playing. Well done!

Cowboys vs Aliens by nidup 2018-04-24T20:03:21Z

Nice art, and although a pacifist myself, I found it unsettlingly satisfying to kill them all... Maybe I'm one of them...

Wordelicious by ludipe 2018-04-23T18:24:43Z

Love the style, the atmosphere, the challenge, and WORDS! BEAUTIFUL WORDS!

Sudoku Junction by selfsame 2018-04-23T17:02:53Z

I was a little confused and found the frog a little too quiet to understand, but the lipsync! And cute characters! Wonderful.

Legendary Alien Race by Rahtainka 2018-04-27T19:46:07Z

The HTML version ran out of memory, but a fun concept and nicely executed.

Snakeout by BoltKey 2018-04-23T23:41:27Z

Pure genius, well executed. You get a shiny golden star, my friend. Art & sound might be improved, though. Perhaps just having the balls as circled rather than balls?

Brainiacs! by Dylan Rainwater 2018-04-25T08:34:25Z

I do wish there were a Linux version.

Brainiacs! by Dylan Rainwater 2018-04-25T20:44:16Z

@Dylan Rainwater A highly relatable problem. Hope I can get a try next time ;)

Card And Run by bloodyaugust 2018-04-23T23:37:55Z

Nice art, found it fiendishly difficult though!

Toodee and Topdee by dietzribi 2018-04-25T19:21:24Z

A really interesting idea. When I was dreaming up a combo, I split genres into form and content and tried to match them as badly as possible... But matching the forms? Genius. (My game turned out completely different, if you find the time I'd be glad if you could give it a spin: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co)

Clidger by Mathiouza 2018-04-24T20:56:40Z

No Linux, so sad...

Clidger by Mathiouza 2018-04-24T21:10:26Z

@Mathiouza Were you using an engine of sorts?

Clidger by Mathiouza 2018-04-24T22:32:23Z

.sh is a comparable to .bat files in Windows, so not directly an executable. Any file, so long as it has permission to run and is correctly compiled, as far as I'm aware, can be run on most Linux systems. As for the details on the binaries, I can't help you there, but would be willing to test it for you.

63 Little Pieces by SamuelSousa 2018-04-25T08:29:02Z

No Linux. No sad :(

Rock Bottom by Jungle 2018-04-23T22:52:23Z

This game touches upon an important subject, and does so in a very sensible way. *applauses The aesthetics and the audio work well together, making the whole thing quite polished. The arrows on the road seemed somehow superfluous though and disturbed my experience of the game a little. GG.

SKYWOOOD PIER by designernap 2018-04-25T08:06:22Z

Pity there's no Linux version...

SKYWOOOD PIER by designernap 2018-04-25T09:45:24Z

@designernap I believe Unreal 4 (I think that's what you're using?) supports Linux ports but I don't use it myself so I can't be sure. iOS is mach harder to port from what I've heard and you'd probably require an Engine that supports it. Unity certainly supports Linux (all the games I played on LD using Unity worked flawlessly) and apparently the other ports are quite reliable, though I assume you would prefer not to change Engines.

SKYWOOOD PIER by designernap 2018-04-25T10:15:28Z

@designernap Brilliant! Wish you good luck, looking forward to it!

SKYWOOOD PIER by designernap 2018-04-27T19:57:02Z

@designernap Can I be of any service?

PE@CE by bwalter 2018-04-23T18:38:52Z

Very pretty, love the fact that the controls are written on the objects, makes learning the controls instant! Genius!

CCG Shoot 'em Up by Moczan 2018-04-23T23:30:20Z

I really like the clean and simple, yet not minimalistic style of the game. The gameplay however could be a little more varied, in my opinion.

Wreckless Rally by Flaterectomy 2018-05-12T14:42:35Z

A really fun and polished game, was a little confused at first but caught up with it after a while. Really liked the artwork, well done!

Hot Meals by Thygrrr 2018-04-27T20:14:24Z

*in an accent trés français * Absoluement exellente! Vous aves trouver un combination idéale pour découvre des situations idéale avec beaucoup de finesse! (Corrigez-moi s.v.p., and pardon my french.) I loved the concept, the models, Gordon, the music and the highly inspired name. I kept rolling over, but at least the steering was snappier than in my game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co) XD

Bully-Logy by malobil 2018-04-24T21:08:33Z

So satisfying! And informative! I've never even heard of a larynx, and I've got one! (I think?) Didn't realize at first that there was an HTML version though.

Poker-Man : Arcade + Poker by lavwa 2018-04-25T20:08:39Z

Apart from the fact that I didn't get anywhere and that I'm a terrible gamble, I enjoyed the music and the idea. Sort of old meets even older XD

Huber Driver by ema1ih 2018-05-12T08:51:02Z

An interesting idea, could really become a top game with additional polish. I didn't quite see where the theme came in though and some audio wouldn't have gone amiss.

Cartenstein by Iluvatar 2018-04-24T21:02:11Z

A pity it's not on Linux, would've liked to try it.

Love Love! Space Attack by Random-storykeeper 2018-04-25T08:38:27Z

That's quite a cute WHAT HAPPENEND!?!?!?!? Absolutely brilliant combo.

Soccer Racing by reuno 2018-04-24T19:44:43Z

Really polished and incredibly fun. Was simply nodding my head to the beat while trying to remember that 'd' is for *turning* right, not moving right. I did it in 2:07! (Terrible, I'm sure.)

CityDefense by JOrbits 2018-04-23T16:35:59Z

I actually won a game! Brilliant, although I would've like to see whether I have enough resources to build something.

Defender of the Road by Val 2018-04-23T17:55:49Z

Had a little difficulty with the sprite layering, but fun nevertheless.

Greenspawn Restaurant by Apple Dash 2018-04-23T23:33:23Z

Took me a while to figure out how to get to the shooting gallery, but I quite like the gritty-isch art and the ever-so-slightly macabre idea behind it.

Harvest Doom by Fiote 2018-04-25T20:13:13Z

It's so pretty! Love the art and the idea. The mood it generates is really spooky!

Conquer a chef's heart by JanWe 2018-04-26T09:37:04Z

The Linux version won't install, I can't figure out why though.

RUN JUMP TYPE by ppNovAqq 2018-04-23T16:05:14Z

If i could type quicker, I might have actually achieved something XD A good twist on typing games.

Travis Beacon Teaches Fighting by niksg 2018-04-23T23:31:49Z

It's so funny in an oddly non-humorous way. Challenging though!

Fat Panda! by Ethereal Psyche Games 2018-05-12T08:44:48Z

A very well polished game! Loved the artwork in particular! I found the jumping a little hard, especially since the hitboxes semed unforgiving. Well done though, a very good entry!

Crafty by Brackeys 2018-05-12T14:30:28Z

Very well polished! Quite enjoyed the combining and the 'encounters' etc., got a little lost though every now and then though.

Ce n'est pas un jeu de pointer-et-cliquer by bobismijnnaam 2018-04-23T20:47:54Z

A very artistic game, sort of reminds me of Antichamber.

BREAK // HELL by Incredible Ape 2018-04-25T21:50:56Z

Wow, that was intense/fun/enjoyable/epic/[insert further positive adjectives here]. A really polished game, the artwork and the music worked really well with the mechanics, and all in a light and fun but rather hardcore fashion a the same time. Well done!

Feed the Beat by Benstar 2018-04-25T11:32:46Z

It works really well if you sway while playing! Brilliant soundtrack, love the sprites (the veggies are so *cute*), really interesting concept. I didn't understand whether it was better to do a meal with a shorter or longer time though, so I just picked the shortest ones with the highest difficulty. I really enjoyed this highly polished experience!

Dungeon of High School romance by Toulou 2018-04-23T22:13:57Z

I love it, but I'm definitely the science nerd. I don't stand a chance XD Brilliant combination, just wondering who the enemies are? Probably just paparazzi ;)

Dungeon of High School romance by Toulou 2018-04-24T07:14:17Z

@Toulou Aaaah, that explains it!

Speed Factory by Kriss 2018-04-25T08:19:57Z

Is that a derivative work I spy? Fun though, very challenging!

Felocity by Adam Wallberg 2018-04-23T02:19:29Z

Love the art & the jazzy music, although I found the gameplay very difficult. (Probably just me being a noob.) The Game Over screens are rather funny.

Deal 'Em Up by James Dunlap 2018-04-23T22:20:08Z

I love the music, so cheerful and contrasting to THE MASSACRE OF DEMONS! PS: Your title here is wrong (set to LD41 Game)

Secrets of the Forest by DevEmil 2018-04-24T00:16:44Z

I'd love to leave a comment, the game looks great, but unfortunately I can't run .exe files on Linux :(

MNSWPR by Anne Ogborn 2018-04-23T21:04:32Z

Oooooh... Minesweeper with gritty lore? I'm in!

Turn-Based Invaders from Space! by HacksawUnit 2018-04-25T10:27:23Z

The style, the music, the difficulty, the mechanics are all beautifully balanced. Well done!

Ryth by Kataware 2018-04-23T23:42:43Z

I love the aesthetics and the sound, IT'S SO POLISHED! I'm jealous.

Dangerous Gold by Kensou 2018-04-23T23:05:52Z

I'm afraid I'm absolutely terrible at this sort of thing XD Love the art though! (even on HTML)

Dangerous Gold by Kensou 2018-04-23T23:25:20Z

@Kensou Gladly given! Would you mind giving your opinion on mine, if you had the time? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Shipwrecked on Robot Island by Bitten Toast Games 2018-04-24T20:15:08Z

Would have loved to play, but I'm a Linux user myself :(

B.E.A.S.T.S - Break Everything And Stack Towering Structures by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2018-04-24T20:23:55Z

It works so well! The idea, the art, the characters, EVERYTHING! Well done!

Talk Block Chronicles by Yokimbo 2018-04-25T08:28:15Z

A pity I can't try it, no Linux.

TASball by fasterthanlime 2018-04-24T20:13:28Z

A really interesting idea, although I'm apparently not programmer enough to handle it (completely relatable)

CastleTris by JackKm 2018-04-23T23:13:08Z

A brilliant idea, although I had difficulty with the controls. Especially enjoyed the fact that you spawn your enemy! PS: Works flawlessly on Linux, as far as I can tell.

CastleTris by JackKm 2018-04-23T23:44:46Z

@JackKm Very true and your very welcome. I'd be very glad if you could find the time to try out my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Grid Gunner by SuperTibbles 2018-04-25T08:48:09Z

Very well polished! I really like the aiming and the fact that you can dodge bullets without having to be quick. Perfect for slow old me!

Dicey by Tim Eriksen 2018-04-23T03:23:37Z

Reminds me very much of Pen & Paper games, perhaps a little idle.

Action Chess by antonsem 2018-04-23T22:30:19Z

A brilliant idea! Take the board game out of the board game - genuis! While brainstorming I came up with the idea for a survival chess, but in the end I had something completely different. Always funny how brains work - when they do, that is. PS: In case you're wondering what I did end up with, I got a Racing/Dodge meets Choice game. Would be glad if you found the time to give it a spin: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

YOU LEFT ME. by Angela He 2018-04-25T17:47:58Z

Very deep and meaningful, with beautiful artwork and a very 'this world is a fake shell' sort-of feel to it, although I didn't find the gameplay very enticing (but that wasn't the point). Well done. I tried my hand at dad-jokes in my game, and would be very glad if you could find the time to pop by and give it a whirl (although it isn't as serious or pretty as your game in the slightest). Here's the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Neon Space by SMILEY_4_ 2018-04-25T18:38:00Z

Beautiful. I started it up and in my head could hear retro synth music. The beeps for the menu just amplified the illusion. I didn't get anywhere in-game though XD

Dyeswap by morphine 2018-04-25T20:42:41Z

A really fun puzzler, although I got stuck on the 'head down' level. The music got a little annoying after a while, but the puzzles made up for it, there where some really interesting mechanics there!

Dyeswap by morphine 2018-04-25T21:16:13Z

@morphine I am intrigued...

Super Hyperspace Rythm Plus Ultra by Kichex 2018-04-23T22:44:38Z

It's beautiful. The lights, the sound, the patterns, the vibe, and on top of all that IT'S ON LINUX. Seriously, I found it great eventhough I had hardly a clue on what was going on.

Super Hyperspace Rythm Plus Ultra by Kichex 2018-04-23T22:57:32Z

@Q-ro Brilliant. Wish you luck with getting it done before the deadline!

Claude Van Clam Presents: Roberto Fishermun's Horrific Fishing Adventure 2019 by The Enigma 2018-04-27T17:41:27Z

That was really interesting! I wasn't quite sure how to cancel fishing though and get back to building apart from waiting for the wave to end.

Nine Lives by CameronJSamuels 2018-04-24T19:25:24Z

Awww, such a cute game. And the dedication towards your cats: highly respectable.

Check, Please! by swav_gav 2018-05-12T16:06:27Z

Found the controls a little hard, but I guess that's normal for hand simulators XD Loved the awkwardness of it all!

Think Before Escape by acoto87 2018-04-26T09:06:52Z

Really polished! The timing was really smooth and the artwork works so well! My only critique is that the drones are unfair, more predictable drones would be better in my opinion (similar to flying Koopas in Mario).

Hangover Kitchen by Lewis Quaife 2018-04-27T17:11:55Z

Funny artwork and concept, worked surprisingly well! It might have helped to see where you're aiming, but on the whole a successful game!

Simmer Down by PronomicalArtist 2018-04-23T16:57:06Z

Rather fun! Walking the large distances and having to restock bombs where a little annoying though... I also really liked the sprite of that blobby monster thing XD

My little secret (by Rapter and NomadFox) by Rapter 2018-04-25T21:41:43Z

I'm afraid I got stuck after being introduced to my victims. But the creepy? Certainly there.

ACCIDENTAL EXISTENTIAL by slovnoslomo 2018-04-25T18:04:58Z

That was really interesting, thank you for inventing that. I particularly liked the second scene XD (Don't do drugs, kids). You might be interested in my game, as it sort of has to do with an existential crisis, but in a very different way. In case you find you'd like to try it, here's a link to it: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Gnome Man's Land by Tim Ruswick 2018-04-25T21:46:22Z

Watched this in the making and found it very interesting to follow. Having made my first game in this Jam I'd really appreciate your feedback if you can find the time. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Scarry by Memel06 2018-04-24T20:52:53Z

Awww... I'm a cute, little WHAT'S THAT!?!?! Works flawlessly on Linux, as far as I can tell.

Sleeping Titanium by Poorwill 2018-04-23T23:28:01Z

It's really pretty, and hints towards a lore of greater understanding... The mechanics aren't new, of course, but I'm surprised noone had thought of that yet! Well done!

Tenebrous by Handle 2018-04-23T23:20:43Z

It's so mysterious...who am I? What am I doing here? Why do the spiders light up like Christmas trees? It really tries to hammer out a lore here... Beautiful art style, captures the mood of the game wonderfully.

Anysma by Chris Magnuson 2018-04-23T18:17:02Z

I had real difficulty with the controls, but I'm just not good at typing XD Love the idea and execution, and the sort of "lore" it hints at.

Shoot 'N Hockey by Adam Trzeszczak 2018-04-24T20:19:59Z

I don't have a controller! Not fair! XD

Hanoi - City of Scooters by mshopf 2018-05-12T08:56:34Z

A really cool and fun idea, although perhaps a little basic. I couldn't read what it said on the game over screen though, it was all somehow squished / cut off. All in all a highly enjoyable game though!

Tennis Hero by JeffChen 2018-04-25T10:22:13Z

Finally, I am a non-violent Jedi Master! I have achieved great- what? I died? Brilliant game, really fun with smooth controls, would've liked a backhand hit though XD

Honest Dan's Trout by Honest Dan 2018-04-25T18:24:09Z

That is one original combo. This dish of Honest Dan's Trout is expertly blended and garnished with tasteful artwork and audio. A true classic.

Flappy Bird + Tetirs = FLAPTRIS by Mazzletov 2018-04-25T20:17:05Z

Pity it's Windows-only. As a Linux user, I'd have liked to play it.

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-04-25T17:58:21Z

Pity there's no Linux support, would've liked to have try this, looks fun. :(

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-04-25T19:06:57Z

@Maxime Catel I can fully relate to that, porting isn't easy, especially if you're doing it on scratch from a Windows machine. I would if I knew how, I'm an absolute noob when it comes to Wine I'm afraid. Where you using an engine?

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-04-25T20:45:55Z

@Maxime Catel Oh, well you have no excuses then! XD It's dead easy on Unity! But thanks anyhow, looking forward to the next Jam!

BouncePUNCH by wsKilljoy 2018-04-23T22:04:03Z

SO MUCH DRIFT! But incredibly fun and simple. Would probably be great to play with friends...if I had friends *sob *

BouncePUNCH by wsKilljoy 2018-04-23T22:24:01Z

@wsKilljoy Truer words were never spoken. I used physics in my game, but I had to severely counteract it with formulas to get it smooth (an I feel it's still a little slow), but the feedback's been positive! Give it a spin if you feel like it: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

Super Slime Slasher Ultra by sebastianscaini 2018-04-25T09:55:50Z

Cuetsy slimes! I can confirm this runs on Linux and that the mouse controls are very hard to aim! XD A really interesting concept, nicely packaged.

Shuffle Climber by miroky 2018-05-12T14:47:10Z

A nice game, had difficulty with getting the wrong cards all the time or getting squished by the bottom of the screen, but perhaps that was just me being inept. XD Really liked the artwork.

Dirty Pink by Carpin 2018-04-26T09:07:56Z

Pity it's not for Linux, looks really polished!

Stealth Cooking by dayn9 2018-04-23T23:37:11Z

Remote Cuddles by Kobrar 2018-04-23T23:35:11Z

It's a game where you have a pet giant skeleton snake of death controlled by obsolete technology. I mean *that's* creative. PS: HTML worked for me.

Remote Cuddles by Kobrar 2018-04-24T00:44:34Z

@Kobrar Of course you can!

ASM Hell by vilix64 2018-04-24T20:18:02Z

I'm afraid I can't seem to play this. It either doesn't display properly or won't accept my keyboard input? Never heard of such a thing. Running on Firefox, Linux.

PlatSCII by whycardboard 2018-04-23T22:56:14Z

I'm sorry, is the game finished yet? I can't find a link. Please tell me when it's up, I'd love to give it a try.

PlatSCII by whycardboard 2018-04-25T17:55:52Z

Was looking forward to playing this game (as you can see by my first comment), but sadly it doesn't seem to be working properly on Linux :( I can download & run the game, but it doesn't seem to be reacting to my input. Are you using an engine?

PlatSCII by whycardboard 2018-04-25T18:07:24Z

@Matthew Hrehirchuk You are? That surprises me, all the other LD Unity games I've played so far worked flawlessly. I'm also running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. What sort of a plugin did you need?

PlatSCII by whycardboard 2018-04-25T18:26:26Z

You're extracting the 'PlatSCII Linux.x86' file? No need, open up properties > permissions and check 'Allow executing file as program'. Then simply double-click and enjoy! (I know, it isn't that obvious)

PlatSCII by whycardboard 2018-04-25T18:35:43Z

@Matthew Hrehirchuk Alright, try right-clicking, 'open in terminal' and type "./PlatSCII Linux.x86" *with* quotes. You know what, this might be easier via Discord. Could I try and call you?

Puzzled and Dating a Monster by John Darrington 2018-04-23T23:22:17Z

The title pretty much describes my experience. Admitted, it was much funnier than that.

Ooooh, it's difficult, it is.

Ultimate Hero Simulator by antvelm 2018-04-25T10:39:02Z

It's beautiful! The art, the sound, the cute little story... Incredibly difficult I find though and some instructions wouldn't have gone amiss.

BIRKANOID by MateCziner 2018-04-25T08:54:12Z

The HTML version doesn't seem to be turning up for me. A pity, I'd really like to play it. Using Linux Firefox.

BIRKANOID by MateCziner 2018-04-25T10:01:31Z

@MateCziner I tried it on the console (browser and native), and the console wouldn't start on either version. Perhaps TIC-80 requires something I don't have? Anyhow, an interesting concept, this TIC. I must investigate this further...

I bet that your CATS look good in the dance floor by agar3s 2018-04-24T19:38:24Z

Love the idea, has a sort of 'we are all friendly but really competitive and NO YOU CAN'T STAND NEXT TO ME'-vibe XD Just a shame that there wasn't time for any music, that would've been le cherry on top.

Originally there weren't any lorries, so you actually had enough space to squeeze between paralell cars. @Kichex It's not you, it's a feature for added replayability! (I just couldn't get the difficulty right.) @James-Dunlap I know, RNG. Thank you! @Q-ro Hahahahaha, thanks! Reloading usually helps, the Jerk actually goes down for bad answers and seconds passed (incrasing the likelyhood of getting a "Can I open my door?" or "Daddy look!" swerve), whereas good answers reduce the risk. (Boring) The difficulty is way too high, see the top half of this comment. Glad you enjoyed it!

@agar3s Thank you @reuno "Losing feels great" Never thought I'd hear that XD @LandoSystems Glad you enjoyed!

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-24T19:19:00Z

@saoi-games I wasn't watching at the time, but I caught up on it today and didn't regret it! I intentionally added that in for the observant players so they could discover all the dialogue (no I didn't). Glad you had fun with it! PS: Good job with pronouncing masochistic! Not an easy word that is! @nidup Why thank you, I'm glad it turend out to be a 'quality experience' XD @fasterthanlime Hahahahaha, no worries, most of it is dead ends as I ran out of time. I wish I could've improved the graphics as well, but in the end the placeholders where still there... @Bitten-Toast-Games That's called cheating! XD @vilix64 Glad to hear it! @rajtar Well you could start by creating a post on Kickstarter XD @rosypenguin Thank you!

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T16:06:07Z

@Lyje Indeed, I couldn't figure out how to fix that.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T17:48:44Z

@JanWe I agree, I'll work on a better font for next time.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T17:57:12Z

@ctran13 Hahahahaha, what a brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of that before? XD Glad you enjoyed it.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T18:18:31Z

@Drell Now that's some structured feedback! I'll make sure to improve that in the next LD!

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T18:29:17Z

@Lewis-Quaife Yes, others have pointed that out too, I'll certainly change the font I use for the next Jam.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T20:13:58Z

@soldierbear Thanks! Yes, that was a problem I couldn't get round to fixing.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-25T20:46:49Z

@Carvster I agree, I took ages trying to make them quicker but I'm terrible at maths I'm afraid so I couldn't figure it out.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-26T08:41:39Z

@Jaime-Paz-Lopes Thank you! Yes using only the arrow keys seems to make it easier for both of us XD @Dovakla Thanks! @Rahtainka Brilliant and structured feedback! I'd give you two Karma if I could... @Eudes-Franco Hahahahaha, brilliant comment, I'll have to add that to the a crash texts! (If that's alright with you?)

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-27T13:44:21Z

@phi Hi dad! Certainly an interesting concept, I'll fiddle around with that. @gi11 *No* cars spawned there? Well lucky you, there should be a 1/100 chance each time a car is spawned that it gets put on that stretch of road. Or I messed something up. Or the children sabotaged it. I plan on making the steering more responsive, but I guess until then, it's just another expensive car with heavy gold plating underneath. Glad you enjoyed! @cristiano-m-garcia The pleasure shall be mine. @Introspex At least I dide *something* well XD @TheFlyingKeyboard Master of steering, I bow before you. Everyone else found it really difficult XD

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-27T16:41:43Z

@designernap Thanks! I was thinking that too, and it isn't too much work either. Well, sort of...

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-27T20:35:02Z

@smbe19 That's odd, what about Firefox? I'll do some testing to see if I can figure it out.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-27T20:58:53Z

@Nannah Thanks! Yes, I couldn't fix the RNG that controlled the car-spawning, and I'm planning on making a better font.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-28T16:41:00Z

@Ethereal-Psyche-Games The lower your Jerk is, the more likely the children will make you swerve. I admit the swerving isn't very strong when it's there, but it's there nevertheless. I plan on making the steering tighter, but I just ran out of time (as you do). Glad you enjoyed!

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-30T20:12:29Z

@theprint Thank you, I didn't think about it that deeply but now you say it... @ema1ih Thanks! Yes, the steering is hard. @mshopf Yes, I was having difficulty with WebGL 1 early in development, so I took it out and forgot about it. I'll see whether it'll run on WebGL 1 as soon as I get round to it.

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-05-01T20:14:16Z

@Aim Thanks, was a lot of fun! I didn't get to fiddle around with the RNG or anything around it, so the difficulty is very badly managed I'm afraid. But that was mainly because I was trying to get to grips with things like "leftChoice.transform.Find('Line2').gameObject.GetComponent().text" XD

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-05-03T11:59:04Z

@Jonathan-Daar Thanks for the structured feedback! Some really good hints with audacity, I'll delve into that! @Random-storykeeper Brilliant feedback! Not sure why you're losing focus, but I'll see if I can fix it. I plan on speeding up the respawn speed, it's a good idea to have the help separately. Glad you enjoyed!

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-05-11T12:45:59Z

@Lost-Dutchman-Software Thank you! I'm glad you've learned this important lesson of life. XD

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-05-13T11:41:39Z

@Sean-S-LeBlanc I couldn't agree more, I learned so much and am really looking forward to the next one! Thanks for the wonderful feedback!

Cyclevania by Allen Oliver 2018-04-25T18:41:54Z

It's so difficult! I couldn't get my head round the controls, but then again I'm an idiot when it comes to quick games. I liked the idea and the art though.

Escape by Gamekrazzy 2018-04-25T10:34:42Z

Difficult it is! Love the style and music, the rats could be a little cuter and a little less aggressive though XD

I wish there were a Linux version. :(

Click for Speed by Borodar 2018-04-23T20:57:04Z

I LOVE the speedy, action-packed atmosphere and unlockables, don't think I've ever seen that sort of thing in a racing game. Funnily enough, I made an entirely different game also using a racer/dodge mechanic, thoug it isn't half as well-done as yours. I would appreciate any feedback if you find the time, though. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cruise-co

TYPING JUMPER by Osybear 2018-04-23T22:54:20Z

Shorthands might have improved the experience (e.g. j for jump).

Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough by Lost Dutchman Software 2018-05-12T13:23:22Z

I fell in a hole! XD Well done, not my sport though, aiming was really hard, especially since the ball didn't stop rolling (that it did very well though). The classical music in the background made it a very relaxing and enjoying experience, well done!

Typewriter Dungeon by Jaime Paz Lopes 2018-04-25T21:37:19Z

The words made me wonder what the whole 'path' must look like. It could've been a little darker for my liking, darkness lends itself well to spooky games.

Gender Circles by EkkoEkko 2018-04-24T21:00:22Z

A really interesting concept, quite... refreshing? XD

Don't Fry Michel ! by Vladadamm 2018-04-25T08:33:27Z

I've now decided that I hate deep-fried food. Apart from donuts. And Chips. And those delicious things I can't remember the name of. And shrimps. And... A really interesting idea. Pity I don't have any friends to play with... *sob

I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THIS! But no Linux, so sad...

Flappy Blocks by Radical Dog 2018-04-25T20:01:56Z

I quite enjoyed that, I did. Interesting how you make up entirely different strategies with such similar gameplay. The Tetronominoes each have such a distinct personality, it's wonderful.

The King of The Hill by Alex13 2018-04-23T21:00:26Z

I found the controls really difficult, but somehow fitting XD

The Magic Shotgun Coloring Book by BenPeterson 2018-04-23T16:48:03Z

Brilliant! Great concept, well executed. A little buggy and shabby around the edges, but it's the thought that counts! Well done!

Moon Baller by coatline 2018-04-23T22:08:00Z

A really interesting concept, with a little more polishing a very good game!

Him & I by Aaronacus 2018-04-23T16:15:23Z

The transitions are a little slow, and I can still move after being eaten, but a very interesting & important topic to explore. Naturally, I rebelled! Power to the people!

Invitris by onnofal 2018-04-23T18:34:53Z

Beautiful. It's simplicity and intuitivity is just astounding.

Need for Coin: Island Hoppers by saoi-games 2018-04-24T19:57:54Z

The SPEED! All my car-as-fast-as-a-jet dreams have come true! Love the music and the whole atmosphere the game gives off. PS: Works flawlessly on Linux, as far as I can tell.

Toplatformer by DoubleSystem 2018-04-23T20:51:18Z

Sadly couldn't start the game, but you can upload multiple files on itch.io, including your source files (code, project file or other). Hope that helps.

Platform Of Love by Scott Steffes 2018-04-23T23:23:36Z

Who'd have thought of that? It's not a dating platform, but a platform dater! Genius. Love that 4th-wall breakage near the end.

Rogue Ball by ctran13 2018-04-27T16:53:46Z

I had real difficulty with the controls, but certainly an interesting combat-maze-sports game, top marks for the theme.

Crazy Cat Collector by theprint 2018-05-12T08:45:46Z

A pity there's no Linux version, I would liked to have played.

Mojojo by ZakAmana 2018-04-25T18:17:00Z

That was fun! I liked the artwork! PS: On itch.io you can mark your game as a LD41 game, linking it up with this site. This means that players looking on itch.io will find you easier.

Riot Brawl Arcade Cardgame by Rolf Rothgerber 2018-04-23T22:00:38Z

Very nice! I personally would've preferred simple clicking instead of dragging, but I love the different levels of cards and the 'mana' mechanic!

Super Platformer RPG by Silent Tower Games 2018-04-25T10:17:51Z

A fun idea that works really well in practice, and very nicely made! I'm absolutely rubbish at platforming though, so I didn't get to the end. Would've liked a little chip-set music to go with it though...

Runner Reader - The text based endless runner. by AlbertoLM 2018-04-23T23:39:32Z

A really interesting idea, but far to difficult to pull off if you're not that guy from the Matrix XD

Aleam Ludere - Play at Dice by gi11 2018-04-27T20:20:19Z

Quite an interesting idea with rolling the die to move & shoot, it wasn't very obvious though how far I could move and when I had used up my AP. Certainly had an element of challenge to it, though.

Brute Force Art Defence by Shellfish Games 2018-04-25T08:05:27Z

I really enjoyed that! Although my super-buff sprinkler tower was so buff it shot over most canvases heads XD

Bad Beat by Drell 2018-04-27T17:04:37Z

Interesting concept, however my three points of critique would be the images being stretched on HTML, the shapes being a different style to the background etc. and the cards having a replenish animation (not a bad idea, but slows down the gameplay). The other imagery is very nice though!

POLITICS VS GAMES LOL by Lyje 2018-04-26T09:18:46Z

A really interesting twist on shooters, I loved the campaigning changing the people (once an old man got turned into himself XD), and then removing the game out of it. Brilliant. Although the artwork could've been more consistent in my opinion.

R O T A T I O by Introspex 2018-04-27T20:28:00Z

@Introspex Quite enjoyable!

Witch's Escape by cristiano.m.garcia 2018-04-27T20:25:40Z

I liked the idea, the art and the music, though it seemed a little...bland? Maybe it was just the slow start but nothing much seemed exciting. Understandable though for such a short game jam. Well done!

Mouse Racer (Racing game + Point and Click adventure) by Aim 2018-05-12T08:57:27Z
