I get a 404 on the Windows download link :-(

utoxin 2018-04-24 02:18

The download links are dead.

apples-mmmmmmmm 2018-04-24 02:57

Yep, 404 on the windows link.

bitjester-media 2018-04-24 03:24

Me 4. @ me if you get it fixed or uploaded elsewhere

blinkenlights 2018-04-24 07:31

Me five. And the Title of the page is still LD41 Compo

juju 2018-04-24 11:32

Windows link is 404'd :(

ananace 2018-04-24 15:45

The Linux link is 404 as well

madxmd 2018-04-24 16:03

The game I have create is using the same idea, but at least you have a complete game, nice

smooth 2018-04-27 19:51

Links should work now! The file was in the link... @juju @madxmd @utoxin @Ananace @nicksmaddog @Blinkenlights @Apples_mmmmmmmm

Try again please @Apples-mmmmmmmm

Interesting concept. I would appreciate to be able to choose between several cards in my hand to get some strategy. Also, the cards of the computer shows a blue car instead of a yellow car.

Keep working on games to make even better ;)

Reminds me very much of those old horse-race games. A little too RNG, would like to be able to have some choice/skill in it. And the Title of the page is still LD41 Compo. Good work!

artiko 2018-04-27 21:09

Yep, as said before a little of strategy would have make the game more fun. Now you only have to click and hope... Anyway graphics are simple but constant.

apples-mmmmmmmm 2018-04-27 23:07

As already mentioned, it would be good if there was some strategy to the game. Functional, but rather simplistic. Good job on getting something out that functions though!

evan-minto 2018-04-29 01:48

I couldn't figure out how to play at first, but based on the comments I assume it's just random card draws. Definitely agree with others that it would be great to be able to choose your cards and put together some kind of strategy. I like the use of the theme.

kelbg 2018-04-29 13:22

It's certainly an interesting idea, and the graphics are nice, but it would be really nice to be able to somehow influence the outcome of the card draw. As it stands it's a bit too random and I feel like I don't have any sort of control over the game. Congrats on getting it done, though!

designernap 2018-04-30 20:31

I thought there was perhaps a trick to picking the right card, but it seems random. Read the comments above and yes, it is :) Still, you finished a game an submitted and that is what counts! good work :)

**Good Concept**

As you said there many things you can add but for game jam it's quit good.

One bug i found that I can click on opponent card deck so at one time opponent card all over but mine is remaining.

Few extra feature come to my mind is

1) Card deck is different from the normal playing card. like Card have power ups like booster, Bullet, Jump, etc.

2) You can give choice to player like player can pick up 3 cards. and than he can select which card he wants to use so it's become semi random game.

Keep working on this

tgiant 2018-05-08 20:11

Good idea. Well done on the game. I had basically the same idea, please checkout my game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/black-jack-racing

belowparallel-ian 2018-05-08 22:55

Well there certainly isn't much to it. It's pretty much like playing War. With that said, it works, and it's actually kind of fun to keep clicking and see the results.

smooth 2018-05-09 11:48

War is what I thought of when making it. I would have added other features if I had the time... like jokers or special cards. Thanks for playing @BelowParallel-Ian

drprettypatty 2018-05-12 16:38

It's not really my cup of tea, but nice effort and idea, esp considering the short timeframe! It fits the theme well, and I think with some work like other commenters suggested it could be pretty interesting. I would like to see non-playing cards like @Yashpal suggested, where you can make decisions like "Do I move forward farther, or do something to hinder the progress of the other car, or make no progress this turn but get more cards next turn".
