LD42 — Running out of space

Rising Tide by smilewood 2018-08-13T00:22:03Z

Solid entry, the UI is cropped a bit (the Money label), otherwise it's a fun little game. Would be nice to rotate the camera since it's already in 3D.

Also thanks for making the game playable in the browser!

Anatomically Drunk by Moczan 2018-08-13T00:20:55Z

@mrnyarlathotep no, the character just keeps walking even when the camera is off the playing field :P

As the world burns by super8bitrafa 2018-08-13T00:28:16Z

Wow the game is intense! Great mechanics and flow of the game, really like the precise controls and fast action. Music was a great match, overall one of the funnest experience I had so far this LD!

Also thanks for making the game playable in the browser!

Green Cover by Henry Sneed 2018-08-13T00:18:34Z

That's a really cool game and take on the theme! I really like that you reversed the theme a bit - you are not preventing the space from running out, you are the one causing it. It was fun figuring out the puzzles, although sounds were a bit annoying.

Quantum Abyss by Delightfullymad 2018-08-13T00:12:10Z

Nice to see a non-action based entry as well. Unless I'm missing some shortcuts the game gets a bit tedious after you buy A LOT of scientists. The music matches the scientific mood of the game and is a nice touch!

Unbelievable Space Runner by Derek Volker 2018-08-12T23:32:04Z

Solid entry with amazing soundtrack that just gets better and better the longer you play. A bit slow at the start, could ramp up the speed faster.

Viral by BigBossErndog 2018-08-12T23:40:29Z

Nice take on the theme, interesting journey through all the folders :P

Real Espace by Viater 2018-08-12T23:47:05Z

That's a really good entry, you quickly feel the spacing running out, the game is fun to play, both music and sound effects are pleasant, solid work!

Big Box Mania by jka 2018-08-12T23:57:58Z

A solid entry, simple gameplay but the presentation is nice and the overall flow of the game is rather entertaining.

Never run out of SPACE: a ZIP folders journey by Swini 2018-08-12T23:51:28Z

The game has great presentation and production values, but it's a bit tedious to play. Not only intro dialog goes on a bit too long, but the game suddenly throws you into an almost unwinnable situation at the start. It doesn't help that restarting levels takes a bit of time. Overall the game looks/sounds great but core gameplay could use some more work.

Oh no! This is monsters! by Alexey Akulovich 2018-08-13T00:24:08Z

Solid entry in the Compo, quite the literal take on the theme but the game turned out to be a fun and well-done twin stick shooter. Impressive work.

Also thanks for making the game playable in the browser!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Koinax Loop by dreamscale 2020-10-05T15:35:39Z

Surprisingly fun to play, the boost sfx made my day :D

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Card And Run by bloodyaugust 2018-04-23T02:12:29Z

That's a surprisingly good combination, with just a few card and obstacle types the game has some depth to it. Some changes I would like to see is having the main character a bit more on the left, so you can see and plan ahead a bit more. And also some way to mute/lower the volume of those ear-piercing sound effects...

Text-Gen Platformer by agentparsec 2018-04-23T02:48:08Z

Haha this one is really fun, you feel the time pressure when you run straight ahead into the enemy and have to type that "SHOOT" asap. The game could use some better invalid command resolution, I started by typing 'RUN', game asked which direction so I tried answering with RIGHT or FORWARD which wasn't recognised. Maybe try "Which direction? (try RUN *DIRECTION*)" or something. But once you get the hang of system, it's fun to play with :D

GattaZoid by simonhutchinson 2018-04-23T16:42:25Z

Nice presentation, I don't think I fully 'get' the game, but it works and feels good to play. The crosshair is useless tho.

CCG Shoot 'em Up by Moczan 2018-04-23T01:49:54Z

I've manged to only put about 15 hours into the game this weekend, so there is definitely room for improvements. Once I've get a free weekend I will definitely visit the game again for some post-LD content expansion :D

TRPG Meets GAMES by ccglp 2018-04-23T17:11:42Z

I think this is my favourite entry so far, nice blend of genres, good execution given the time-frame, great job overall!

Spacecards by Literally Void 2018-04-23T02:41:05Z

A really polished entry, blowing up those ships feels great. The game could use an auto-fire/toggle since you want to fire all the time anyway.

Time Tug by IronyGames 2018-04-23T13:01:16Z

Really solid entry, polished and fun to play, probably the best I've played so far in LD41. In the beginning it's not super clear if you already used your shoot command or not, maybe have an actual aiming lines persist until you end your turn? Also Pass should probably be End Turn/Execute/Start/Play/etc since it implies you are not going to do anything and forge your current orders.

Puck Off by Matthew Roelle 2018-04-23T02:29:39Z

Wow, the game is super polished for a gamejam entry, I really like the basic gameplay idea behind it and you've managed to pack quite a lot of stuff into the game. You can already see a hint of a great party game in it :D

Think Hockey by RilleP 2018-04-23T17:22:19Z

This is really fun, it took me some time to get the hang of it, but you have a great little party game here! It would be nice to have a button to cycle through the players, sometimes it's hard to select them if the clump together really close, especially near the goal.

Tetrisnator by Bewelge 2018-04-23T02:22:28Z

Solid game, a bit slow at the start, but the mechanics are nice and the genre blend is interesting. The menus look kinda bad while playing on fullscreen, but other than that the game is quite polished for a Compo entry!

Tale of Visions by SniperA 2018-04-23T02:26:20Z

Would be nice if first Space click showed the whole sentence and next one skipped to the next. Interesting take on a theme, looking good for a 48-hour game. RIP headphones users tho...

BouncePUNCH by wsKilljoy 2018-04-23T02:05:30Z

Quite a fun little game, it could be a great party game with multiplayer that's actually in the game contrary to my original comment :D The game's theme song is quite nice, why don't you play it during gameplay tho? It would be ideal, like a gentlemen's boxing match, but with pogosticks!

Sim Defence by VinegarLove 2018-04-23T02:16:01Z

Nice start, I see where were you going with it, too bad you didn't manage to get all the content into the game. It's a nice blend of incompatible genres that you've pulled off in a great way. Maybe not sending enemy waves before you choose your first answer would be a good way to let players familiarise themselves with the interface/game.

Golden Beak Golf by McCordinator 2018-04-23T16:39:03Z

Solid entry, the game is super annoying but I guess it's by design :P I like the audio, obstacles could use a different green than grass to bit a bit more readable.
