Once I figured out how to get it going, my first order of business was to dump a bunch of garbage into the ocean. That's how you recycle... right? Haha I can definitely see the concept here and how it ties into the theme. It's unfortunate that you weren't able to finish because I definitely love the idea and it seems like it's almost there in terms of gameplay :) I could see a post LD version of this being very successful. I also love Factorio, so I'm partial to that. Great job!!
I really enjoyed the pace, it was a nice break from the actiony titles I've been reviewing all afternoon :)
I thought this game was really well done, my only complaint was that the screen felt pretty crowded and at times it was pretty difficult to figure out if something was an aesthetic element or a platform. But I loved the game overall.
I really loved the match-3 / shooter mashup, I don't think I've ever seen that done before. So +creativity points on that one for sure. I found myself wishing that the player-movement wasn't constrained to a grid, but even so it was a fun game :) I could definitely see this concept getting fleshed out more into a full mobile game or something. Great job!
My favorite game I've played so far on here! I loved the concept and what you did with the theme. It took me a minute to figure out how to play, so maybe a quick tutorial screen would be helpful. But once I figured it out, it was a lot of fun. Great job
I used to play flash games like this ALL the time growing up, so this was super nostalgic for me to play haha. I loved it, excellent job! I could definitely see a time-waster mobile game made out of this that I'd play the hell out of. :)
The jumping felt kind of weird to me, I couldn't make it on to half of the platforms. Maybe I'm just bad at platforming games though lol. I really liked what you did with the theme, great job!
@conorod - Thanks for the kind words! I really wanted to do more with the level design but that ended up being the biggest time sink, I may end up releasing a post-ld version with more levels :)

Nice job! I couldn't quite figure out how to "absorb the corruption" but it was a well put together game. I appreciate that you took the time to put in things like a settings menu. I found myself wishing I could turn off that black noise overlay though, it got kind of distracting.
I loved the retro-rpg style. The gameplay felt really good, I felt myself searching for an exp bar or some sort of level system, but obviously this is ludum dare and we all only had 2 days :D Great job!
Also, it eventually crashed with this error:

I loved the idea of moving around things on your ship for steering. I was also happily surprised when I accidentally dropped something on my cannon that it shot it out lol. Great job!
I spent a couple of minutes flame blasting the imp at the top of the screen but nothing happened :(

I loved the mechanic, I don't think I've ever seen that in a game before. Definitely fit the theme well. I loved watching the screen fill up with bullets then trying to dodge everything lol.
The graphics are really nice. I also love that your friends could get stuck behind objects and prevent you from moving forwards, it definitely made for some hairy situations lol. It fit the theme really well. Great job :)
I definitely laughed out loud after proudly selecting my upgrades for the first time. Really good job, I think there may be a bug though in selecting weapons, as I tried a couple times to pick the rifle/shotgun and they both seemed to do the same thing. Other than that, good job :)
The randomly generated curses were pretty cool, the platforming felt a bit floaty but other than that great job :)
I loved the concept, I felt like maybe the darkness once you've collected all the coins was a bit restrictive, as I couldn't get past the 3rd level :) The mini map was definitely essential haha. Great job
It definitely fit the theme well, I had fun watching the herd of enemies grow to be pretty huge lol. When they started taking up almost half the screen it got pretty intense. Great job!
Poor chickens... Hahaha the game looks and plays great. Excellent job with the concept. Unfortunately my chickens did not survive for very long.
Amazing interpretation of the theme! I loved it. I got stuck on level 8, some of these puzzles were really good! I'm gonna come back to it and try and finish the game after I review a couple more :) Good job!

I'm definitely a big fan of roguelikes, and yours looks great as far as that goes. But it was pretty hard to understand what was happening or what to do given that everything was in Runes. I can tell there is some substance here though! Good job

@vinay-rao Yup! that's intentional, for 2 reasons. 1 being the code to disallow mid-air jumps would've been too complicated for the jam, 2 being I found it fun anyways! Thank you for playing!
Haha I love the concept. If we weren't constrained by the 48 hours the compo allows us, I could see some sort of currency and upgrade system really making this an awesome game.
One question I had though - once a bar becomes fully red, is there any way to fill it back up? I was kind of confused by this and after a while I was down to only 4 bars that weren't red and I was able to just kind of keep those full indefinitely.

Haha, great job! Loved the concept, had a ton of fun navigating around the computer and reading the little labels you put over everything. Great attention to detail.
I thought the graphics were really nice and the concept is solid! It reminds me of the old PC game "Stranded." Good job! My only gripe is I seem to get thirsty really quickly and am unable to use the coconuts for anything else.
I love the keyboard sacrificing games we've been seeing this jam. Great job! I enjoyed the puzzle element of trying to make it through the game with different dialog choices and different sacrificed letters. You very quickly run out of letters like 'Z' and 'X' to sacrifice! :) Cheers
Haha, I love a good literal interpretation of a theme! Very simple and "charming" (if you can use that word to talk about a game about playing as Satan and sacrificing people LOL) game. The art work is very solid. Great job!

Wow. This is a gem! I love this so much. You did an amazing job, I honestly spent like 10 minutes just trying to land sick flips. Bookmarking and will be coming back to play from time to time
Really creative take on tower defense, I could see this being really cool. My only feedback would be that it takes way too long for the enemies to approach and the gameplay feels a bit slow.
I loved it! The music was great and it was a very unique concept. Great implementation of the theme as well. I could see this being a really fun puzzle game.
Super polished! Loved the music and the graphics. I felt like it was a bit difficult to have to open up the book to check combos every time then go back to the game, I think it would've been better if the recipes were just always visible.
Great job! Some more variation in the types of disasters that could happen wouldve been nice, so there could be some strategy involved. But hey, for a jam game not bad at all!

I think it's off to a good start! Maybe add the ability to buy some auto-clickers and you've got a solid time waster :)
Very cool concept! I wanted to do something card-based as well but couldn't think of a good idea for it. My only complaint is that it was hard to guage how far a jump card or duck card would take me, but maybe that's part of the challenge :)

Very cool! I've seen a couple turn based bullet hells done so far but this is definitely one of the more polished takes on it.
Those little green dudes didn't know what hit em. A little more polish and this could be a sweet game. Good job!

I thought the concept was awesome, and the graphics/movement were really well done. My gold never increased even though a little sound effect played when the hero walked over to me, but overall really good job :)
Took me a second to get used to the controls, but I like the beat-em-up sports mash up :) I had a weird graphical glitch where the characters would all start flickering but other than that I didn't notice any bugs, so great job there!
Unfortunately I didn't have someone to play with when I tried it out, but I tested it through on my own, very well done! I love the idea of random modifiers and 1v1 gameplay :)
