I enjoy this, it took my a while to get used to the controls but I did it. I don't think I ever got back the enemies lead though.

It's really missing a minimap
Like the aesthetic and game idea! Just had trouble with knowing what character was selected and dribbling.
I love the specificity of Russia winning the Cold War, it gives it a subtle backstory. The gameplay was quite fun, though I'm really bad at this sort of games.

Cool game and great story ! Difficult at the beginning because of controls.
I like the theme, I would have definitely loved something like this as a kid! Aesthetics and story are also very cool.
The game plays a bit clunky. Controls are ok but everything seems a bit buggy and it is hard to control the ball. It is also hard to realize where you are in the playing field.
But overall, nice theme and mood. Some polishing and it could be a fun game!
I "beat" the opposition, actually I lost. Not really sure how to run with the ball. Nice idea.
Took me a second to get used to the controls, but I like the beat-em-up sports mash up :) I had a weird graphical glitch where the characters would all start flickering but other than that I didn't notice any bugs, so great job there!
Difficult to know what is going on at the start, eventually got the hang of it though. Good job!

Finding where I was on the field was pretty hard. I wasn't able to move diagonally with the ball very fell, and because of that my actions where pretty clunky. I liked the song, felt like I was playing Contra Soccer or some such. At the title screen/name I'd hoped you'd added some more humour or played on the Russian no rules soccer some more.

I didn't really hear any sound effects (maybe cause the music was too loud), which would have helped in my opinion. The game play is a big jagged, but I don't think that's a big concern considering it was a compo submission. With a little work it could become a go-to soccer game!
The animations really sold it for me. It felt very nice to just move around.

Thanks for the kind words @colin-misbach. It does not really have any sound effects, only the music. At first i though in narrating and adding sounds for kicking and attacking but due to time limitations it was not possible.
The controls were confusing at first but afeterwards it was fun.
This has a lot of potential.
ha ha ha - I love the description, I'm not sure if it was just me but sometimes the controls appeared to not work and then start working again. Maybe it's just the web gl thing.
It reminds me of a little game that kids here in Brazil play called "FUT-PORRADA" fun game and the track is amazinng!

Like others here, I had to struggle a bit with the controls at first, but then I managed to win by beating all the opponent players before kicking the ball into their goal!
The music is wonderful, and I like the overall story / mood.
To improve controls, maybe you could try to have the ball follow the player (for now it follow him for a few seconds only. It forced me to use Pass a lot instead)
Nice entry. It should be called "another normal day in Russia". Very funny game. Congratulations for make it by your own.
Still needs some polishing. The controls like most other people said are a bit rough around the edges. I liked the art and the music was pretty fitting (though not my thing). I found it nearly impossible to actually lock on the ball and do some actual dribbling.
A passing and shooting sound would've given the game a nice juice that I feel is missing. With some work this can become a pretty fun sports game. It's just a bit rough.

funny game, sometimes I was just lost, would love to get arrow indicators on where my players are, Liked the throw in with one guy popping there. AI a bit buggy at times. Overall nice idea and good effort.
You made two really hype retro video game style songs in less than 48 hours (while also creating this game in that same time frame). That alone is something to be proud of. The graphics I like a lot. The game concept I like a lot. The gameplay mechancis need some work to make the game more fun, but this is a terrific start and a great LD entry.
