The game was rather challenging, but it gets a bit repetitive after completing a few levels.

The game was rather challenging, but it gets a bit repetitive after completing a few levels.
A very fine game with really neat graphics, audio and with a great sense of humor for when you die (happens a lot).
I like the graphics, but the game is rather quiet, and a brief instruction at the start would have been helpful.
I love this game. One thing that I find a bit difficult though is finding where points are.
A very lovely game that runs well in the browser. The graphics are absolutely stunning! The only downside is that fullscreen mode seems to lag a bit.
Sadly very hard to control since the camera angles often make one or both characters hidden.
Nothing beats the feeling you get when you make a loop to pick up fuel. Visually, the game is stunning. The only thing I would want is a soundtrack that could deafen the engines a bit. I would easily play a mobile version of this game for hours.
Very nice, but the UI was rather small for me, and it took some time to figure out what to do.
Thank you for your feedback. It is much appreciated.
I can expand a bit on the difficulty thing; it is a modifier that determines how often enemies and asteroids will spawn. This is capped at 10, but even at the cap, the value may be above 10, still resulting in a difficulty of 10. When enemies do spawn, this modifier is lowered to allow for some time to tackle the enemies that are already there. It makes sense to have a cap, and I found 10 to be a pretty solid maximum previously. Otherwise, enemies will spawn everywhere all the time once you progress a bit further. The current system means that the actual difficulty will be increasing with time, but the number might still seem rather small - this is due to spawned enemies present in the ship.
Display settings and support for full screen can be found in the settings menu at the start of the game. Full screen is recommended as it is easy to click outside the game window without it.
An excellent game. Well designed and balanced in difficulty. Keep up the great work!
The game looks promising, but would not run well for me. The ship crashed on takeoff, giving you no gameplay. I seem to be the only one here experiencing that though. Well done with your first Ludum Dare!
A great game for some casual fun. One thing to explore would be to add more potions (speed maybe?).
The game is really challenging, and the audio is really suitable.
A very nice game with neat music.
I can remove that text. It's the standard thing that Itch.io does. @jespersb.
I used [Abundant Music](https://pernyblom.github.io/abundant-music/index.html) for composing. It is mostly randomized, but I did a lot of manual parameter setting just in order to make it right.
I love the idea. Well executed!
I really like this concept. The music is great and the visuals make for a complete package. Well done!
A very beautiful game. Perhaps, the floor is a bit too slippery for my taste though.
An amazing idea that is well executed. Great job!
The game is neat, but I managed to push things out of my reach and felt a bit confused afterwards. Perhaps the movement could be grid-based to make it a bit easier to control.
The energy is per round of planning. Every executed plan (a total of three moves) must result in some energy being collected.
@shaolin-dave, yes, this was made in Game Maker Studio 2. I tried exporting it as HTML5 as it is supported by Game Maker, but the export seems to be broken. I might, however, give it another go.
@holysparks, I think that you may have experienced a bug. It *should* always shoot in four directions when finishing the last move. I will investigate this.
A neat game with a compelling narrative. Some of the buttons were scaled weirdly on my 4k monitor, but it did not cause any issues. Well done!
Awesome game. Well done!
I absolutely loved the visual aesthetic. The game was, however, too hard in my opinion and I was only able to survive for 2-3 rounds.
Very appealing aesthetic.
Excellent audio and neat visuals. The first levels were a bit too easy, but the later ones were really enjoyable.
@muhuk, all levels are possible to complete, but you may skip a level with the `N` key on your keyboard at any time.
Most levels have multiple solutions and there is always something that is a lot less complex than what is expected.
A very neat game with a lot of polish. Well done!
A very polished game with a clear aesthetic, neat visuals and audio. I experienced some tearing when moving around, but it was not a real issue. I would love to play a further developed version of this game with more levels and challenges. Well done!
Simplistic and enjoyable every second on the way to a lifelong financial crisis. Thank you for bringing this game to life!
I love the fast-paced action, but I think that there is a delay between clicking the mouse and bullets being fired. This might be intentional, but I would love some visual queue that my click was registered. I found myself spamming the left mouse button while trying to avoid everything else - hectic but fun!
The game is a too difficult to easily be picked up, but the concept is very interesting. Perhaps different colors could be used to visually distinguish the different layers a bit more in order to make it easier.
The eight-way controls and their visual representation were a first for me, and it is extremely enjoyable. The audio is suitable and the graphical style matches very wall!
Very nice art style. The audio is great. I love the song.
The game can now be exported using Godot 4.0 beta 2. A download link has been added.
A lovely game with charming graphics and a nice mood.
Nice and charming game with pretty graphics and a good soundtrack. Well done!
@cameron-borthwick, the enemies actually shoot at you as well when you are close to them and in their LoS. I agree that they don't to that nearly enough. Sadly, I spent a lot of time working on a flying enemy, but I could not get it to collide correctly with the game world. Thus, I had to scrap the idea, leading to a much easier game.
It was a bit tough to figure things out. At first, I tried to drag things around. I got the hang of it after a few minutes and found the game to be very enjoyable.
A smooth game with neat graphics and a catch soundtrack. Very well done!
Wow, this game is stunning and really enjoyable. Well done!
Very nice game. I loved the battles. The upgrade screen could have been made skippable.
This game is a nice adaptation of the theme. I really enjoyed it and its neat graphics.
A neat game with a cool mechanic. I do, however, find the game a bit too challenging and sometimes unfair due to it beeing unpredictable. This could perhaps be tweaked a bit and balanced by telegraphing the next ball variation in advance.
A very nice first submission. The controls are intuitive and the core loop is sound. I would, however, like an additional challenge with enemies and other risk/reward tradeoffs.
The concept is great. I would love to see a full game using this idea.
I love the graphics and the audio. The concept is nice and the game is entertaining. Well done!
Thanks for the feedback @john-gabriel! What browser are you using, and what happens when you open the web version? The web build works in my installation of Vivaldi (Chromium-based) and in Microsoft Edge.
I absolutely love this game! The graphics, audio, and gameplay are all amazing. Very well done, crafting such a nice game.
Wow, that was a lot of fun. I love the concept, the art, the audio, and the humor in it. A very fine game indeed!
This is one of the most relaxing games that I have played in quite some time. I loved the aesthetics and the music was fenomenal. Well done!
I love the idea that the rules are to be discovered by the player. It adds a special challenge.
Very neat game. I love the automation and its somewhat open nature in puzzle games. The mechanics are presented in a very suitable manner. Well done!
I had a lot of fun with the dash, and it felt very satisfying. Well done!
The visuals are really satisfying. I absolutely love the vibe. Well done!
It was a bit hard to grasp the mechanics. On the first day I just stood still before realizing on the second day that the small circles were to be collected. The visuals are amazing.
I love the gameplay. Everything was pretty and sounded well.
This game is very pretty. I love the aesthetics and the general vibe. Well done!
I agree with @Nehvis, but the core concept seems nice.
Really nice game. I like the concept, but I too, am perplexed about how I kept losing the game.
Really nice game, but it is a bit too difficult. Even the first two waves are hard.
@Animaster, the game is a turn-based platformer, but do you mean that each time step is too slow? I really appreciate the feedback.
I can't find any links either. The section seems to be empty.
Wow, that was really something new. Very fresh and related to the theme. Well done!
It can be a bit challenging. Perhaps there could be a difficulty setting.
I really like the "slidey" controls. It could be cool to experiment with a few different surfaces with distinct characteristics like friction.
The game is very pretty in the .pdf format. Sadly, some of the yellow color doesn't translate all too wall to paper in my laser printer. Perhaps an inkjet/photo printer would be better?
I used the web build. Everything seems smooth, but it was a bit hard to understand that you drop rocks with [SPACE], and that you use these to defend.
