Mr. Skeltal's Calcium Quest by PIXEL^3 2015-08-25T01:30:00
Very, very nice. I like the art-style and the ease to play around, the only problem is that the screen remained black until I pressed a button.

Very, very nice. I like the art-style and the ease to play around, the only problem is that the screen remained black until I pressed a button.
I got stuck quiet a lot of times, also, the fact that scientists can see you through the walls is a bit of a bummer, seeing the fact how I'm the monster and they got x-ray eyes XD.
Overall not too shabby for 3 days of work but it's a bit on the low side for me.
Quiet a nice game realy. The fact that you use the princess istead of the other way around is a nice twist I can appreciate
I didn't get the game probably but I wasn't clear what I was supposed to do or what not to do. I also glitched through a wall at one moment, fun to see the whole level from another perspectif though.
Very Nice Man, I really enjoyed it. It could've been put on an online game-site IMO.
Nice choice of subject, nobody likes those call-center people. The only problem I have is that requests come in faster than I can read them from time to time, and in other times I wait for minutes where nothing happens. Perhaps a bit too random in this case.
A bit stale for my taste, it follows the theme but seems a bit shallow for my feeling. It could do with a bit more Particles and the cracking of bones.
I love the graphics and the idea, it's hard to actually control the arm but hey, we humans aren't used to controlling a monster
Very nice game, I do like it a lot
Everybody, thank you so much for the support. I love making games and like it when people enjoy playing them.
As for the feedback up until this point, I'll try to adress it here:
- The intended target will eventually be a mobile device so that was a good guess Eddynardo.
- As for music, I'm not that good in making music myself, but I will definetly consider it when expanding the game.
- Also, I made it impossible for the game to be impossible, you can change direction in mid-air and there is only 1 wall at the same time ;)
- An online score board is deffinetly something I'd wish to try, but with this time-span it was impossible to implement that for me.
Anyways, thank you all for playing and voting and thanks for all the feedback, I'll try and implement as much as possible and hope you continue playing my game.
After a short play-through the game crashed due to bad garbage collection, I opened the souce and added in a small script that solved that. Now it runs like a charm.
Nice game, real bummer tho that it has to be an installer, I'd rather have a single-time runner
Nice background recolloring, liked how it was so simpe but also so hard
Thanks for the feedback, we were indeed planning on upgrades, even had the art, I simply didn't have the time to implement them next to my work. But we are working on another version (made in Unity) which does have the store implemented.
I have listened to all the feetback you guys have given me and I totaly Agree, that's why a new updated added in the promised store that people asked me for. You can download it from the Itch.io store and it should transfer your safe over to the updated version. Do not worry, the game that was made within the time constraints is still online and downloadable for the remainder of the judging period. We are also still working on the ULTIMATE version that will run on a different engine than Game-Maker.
The Artist (Tim Schipper) Really likes the compliments and I personaly take the blame for the lack of content on game-play's end, my work and real life were kind of in the way of this jam and I personally under-performed on this jam in the respect of gameplay.
Thank you for judging and keep tapping. We hope to see you again and we hope you like the game with these minor tweeks!
Really a nice game! I deffinetly liked the graphics, I've always been a sucker for the simplistic
Wow, really fun to play. But very difficult at times. I didn't notice playing for at least ten minutes.
Amazing looking, truly an artistic project which oozes passion!
The lack of textures actually works for this game. It was a bit unclear what the goal was sadly but overall the aesthetics make up for it
Great art style (very concept arty but it fits together nice). Also the humor is great, I wish there were even more dialogues
Gosh, it is indeed a game that is pretty long but not in a bad way, overall pretty enjoyable!
After reading the comments I indeed lowered by settings to full HD (was ultra-wide). I played two games, the first I died after around 10 mins, the second after around 15, definitely a complex game with a simple theme. Lovely creation!
I like the idea, and I like the change to the standard bejeweled this brings!
Lovely game loop, and I have to say, you don't really need a tutorial, it is pretty self explanatory. The loop of getting and using cards really spoke to me and the 10s rule is very nicely used here.
@notexplosive The 10 second rule was the theme of this gamejam 'Every 10 seconds'.
Definitely feels very well polished, which is to be expected with such a large team, but you seem to have used those resources well. Overall an enjoyable experience, the hud is a bit hard to read sometimes, but that is just occasional and depends on the background behind the hud at times
The graphics create a very unsettling mood which is not a bad thing, as for gameplay, it was a bit difficult to figure out as the bouncing of the pad didn't happen at the start on the 10 second mark. But when that clicked, it did end up a lot clearer! Could do with a tiny controls section in the game itself
A nice and simple puzzle game that made me nostalgic to old puzzle games of my youth. Nicely done with the 10 second theme.
Sadly, when I try to run the 1.0.1 version it gives me an error of being unable to be run on my PC (Windows 10).
Simple but easy to click through, I would have liked seeing some more variants of windows where it is harder to differentiate the bugs from normal popups. I don't see the theme of 10 seconds in here though, so I would love to hear what your intent behind it was as far as the theme goes!
Lovely little puzzles, really nice implementation of the theme and the addition of extra rockets adds much to the gameloop.
Lovely use of the theme, although the UI seems scaled weirdly on ultrawide screens and I can't seem to change that which made it so I couldn't fully see all the elements.
But still loved the art-style although I immediately noticed the diagonal pixels hehe, a small nit-pick in an otherwise good game!
Pure chaos, which is probably the opposite a mine-sweeper should feel in real life, luckily, worst thing that can happen here is a red square haha. Overall a lovely little game which is impressively put together for a compo!
Lovely art style and I like the audio of it, controls were a bit rough and I couldn't figure out the potions yet, but I can definitely see this eventually grow in a full fledged game with a little tutorial etc. Overall, very enjoyable
lovely visuals, I did need to reduce my screensize from ultrawide to 16:9 as the ui scales based on width instead of height. But overall a very enjoyable game to play!
Nice usage of the theme to change seasons and a good usage of the seasons to change the gameplay of the level. The only issue I had was that if I was being chased by enemies it became basically impossible to stop them if they got too close, especially with two of them.
Lovely game, although indeed the game feels like the game is hindered by the 10 second limit more than it gains. Love the vector art and the bloom as well. Quite impressive you were able to add a global leaderboard as well!
I like how simple the game is but effective! I do think you could try to export this to Open-GL and get some more votes going towards you.
Nice little game, the random turns throw you for a loop at times and the green rocket looks red when far enough up the screen which made me wonder what it actually was. But in general a nice little game for as much time as you have had
After some hickups on HTML I decided to play it on Windows... I love the art style of the trees and the menu, but the fox seems a bit oversized. I hope you can fix the html versions to reach a wider audience
I like the atmosphere (pun intended). Although the UI seems to be scaling wrongly for me in the HTML version at least, and if going full screen the background is cut off on the sides and it shows blue there.
I like the art, the fact you can double jump was not immediately clear to me, maybe you could add like a sign in the level to signify this. Also, the restart time for the game is a tad long, but I understand why as it is nice to see the level before playing it. In general, a nice little game!
Very enjoyable and good humor, I was thrown for a loop a few times as I am not that much of a man of culture. But I can see the immense humor and passion you put in there.
One thing I did find a bit daunting was finding the executable between all those DLLs, no idea if that is fixable but dear god, that game me limewire vibes from 'yee olden days'
A fun way of implementing the timer into the arena! Although the fact I cant fully walk around the obstacles at the far edge got me stuck. The colliders for the enemies could also be made a little bigger but this is a minor issue.
Overall I like the simplicity of the game that translates the concept very well and uses the theme greatly
Even with simple graphics and limited audio it is a decently enjoyable game, although it falls prey to classic 'can't run' trope of horror games haha. Nonetheless, very nicely done!
A creative use of the theme, I like the simplistic but nice 3d aesthetic. And although bugs were found, nothing game breaking which is to be expected from a gamejam after all
Ow, I always love these games, Hacknet one of them. So well done! It feels very polished and although it feels like a jam game, it feels like that in the best sense of the word.
I am not one to enjoy scary games often, but the art-style is nice enough for me to give it a try! Lovely work and a nice game for 2-3 days of work
Lovely use of the woolly aesthetic, also a very creative way of using the theme!
Jeez, as someone knowing the periodic table I got slight ptsd when I saw those simbols, afraid I was going to have to make some form of molecular bonds, but you used them amazing and even if you didn't know what each icon was it made sense soon enough. Amazing work!
It plays nicely and I do love the bullet hell dynamic of it. Also very much enjoy the art-style and audio. Overall I don't have too many issues, although the sound glitching during loading is a bit 'staggering' (pun intended). Maybe disabling/pausing the sound when you start the load and resuming after it is finished could have been a nice touch.
Nice and relaxing, especially the music was nicely relaxing. I would have loved some keyboard hotkeys to switch between flowers and tree. I also accidentally overrode my tree with flowers which I didn't know was possible haha, so I guess I didn't create a bio-diverse flora
Lovely game, although the doubling of the required points might be a bit too steep, maybe a way to reduce the required points by way of finding a random drop could be nice, or by completing it within a certain amount of time.
Quick and effective, when the colors switched and I became 'god' the mechanic clicked for me. Real simple, real fun!
Lovely visuals, the controls are a bit difficult, as you can only aim by walking in a direction. The upgrades are nice though and you did scare me at first when the second change to the arena happened and I thought I would run out of room soon.
