Awesome! I was _listening_ to the stream most of the weekend while furiously working on my own entry, but didn't play until just now. Turned out great!

Awesome! I was _listening_ to the stream most of the weekend while furiously working on my own entry, but didn't play until just now. Turned out great!
Cool game. Art and music are good. Is there a restart button though? I couldn't find one (not that it's hard to relaunch after dying - also it's possible that you included it and I'm just blind).
Great work, had fun!
Nice game! Really like the 3d effects. Took me awhile to figure out I could right-click for a menu though. Progression is a bit too slow, I think. Even though the gameplay is fun, I got tired of drilling well before nearing the winning $$$ amount. I'd recommend increasing the treasure/dirt ratio, and making higher value ores available a little closer up.
Overall though, Great work!
Cool game. Love the dice mechanic (and pun)! The bug I ran into was reaching the bottom of the dungeon, and having it lock up (entire browser tab died - I had to close the whole browser session to end the game music).
Other than the bug at the end, I had fun! Maybe because I've played plenty of tabletop dice games, I found the rules pretty intuitive. Good game!
Hilarious take on the theme! Controls are... awkward. I got kinda used to the movement after a bit, but it was still pretty rough. Cool concept though!
This _does_ look like a good base for something, but I'm afraid I didn't really find it that much fun as-is. Putting in some sort of narrative/quest and a reason to "go deeper" would do a lot. Of course, that's true of a ton of elements left out of _most_ LD games due to time constraints, so no worries! Music and starship art are good!
Very cool! As others have said, the animations really do make the game. The explosions are particularly satisfying! The slight "porthole shift" on your sphere with movement is great effective feedback as well. Love the bathysphere art overall, and the music is good too. I'm not very good at reflex shooters, but was able to win this one! Very fun!
vic.png
This is really good! Searching for copper to extend the lifeline makes for surprisingly compelling gameplay. Art and soundscape are great too. Excellent game!
(also, making alt-f4 the official exit hotkey: ultimate "it's not a bug, it's a feature" move!)
Love the idea of this, and it turned out awesome! Way more fun than shuffling around sticky notes ought to be! I did notice a few typos, but hey, it's a 48 hour jam - my game had typos too.
Overall, loved this one. Will probably play again!
Cool little..... game? More of an "art piece" really, which is fine. Definitely gets a mood across, even without any sound. I liked it! And yes, the ascii octo was cool!
This is really cool! With the upgrades and good level design if seems pretty complete! My only constructive feedback is that it might be good if the player sprite/hitbox was _slightly_ smaller that the corridors, so that getting into a t-intersection (for instance) didn't take quite as much precision.
Great entry!
Cool game! Sound and graphics are good, and the gameplay is fun! Nice work!
Super good game! I love the artwork (especially the snails) and sound! The "home" screen with the CRT looking computer interface was a great touch. I'm also really glad you didn't start the player "back at the top" on each new day. Unlike a lot of LD mining games, yours had an interesting story/mystery which kept me engaged a lot longer than I would have been without it! Finally made it to the light and (presumably) back home!
Yep, def Spore vibes! Love the minimalist character design and water effects. The map needs to be a tad more "busy" I think though - sometimes it's hard to tell if you're even moving when the ocean's so empty...
Fun little game! Upgrade system is good. Fuel seems to be the main limiter, at least at first. Some sort of respawn after dying with _some_ cost, but not having to start over would be good.
Very cool atmosphere/mood. Love the art!
Love the art, and I will always 100% vote up a catchy sea shanty! I do concur with everyone saying that the aiming/shooting is a bit dodgy, but I think the main issue is the super slow movement overall. I like the mechanic of treasure reducing the air meter, that's pretty clever.
Awesome game! Definite slay the spire vibe. Not sure I care for the rng on attacks randomly missing, but it _is_ pretty balanced. The game was fun for sure! Great entry!
Very cool idea! Love the art and scribbling sounds in the background. The "going deeper and deeper" into smaller drawings mechanic is great. I didn't get too far, but that's down to me being terrible at platformers, and probably not any fault with the game!
Cool theme! I like the pixel art and general idea. Gameplay could probably use a bit more though.... a lot of "waiting for gas to click the thrust button."
@blockerz Ha ha! I am a big space nerd, so I def appreciated the Voyager connection! :)
Cool game. The art and "mood" are great (obviously music would only add to that)! Was a little surprised at losing when reaching the "end" of the level w/o enough spores - it kinda presented like it would just keep going until you ran out of energy or got to the spore count (to go to a new level maybe?).
Cool take on tetris! Surprisingly the first one I've seen so far this LD. Agree that a list of the controls up front would be good - I floundered for a few minutes trying to do a standard top down tetris type of play! (even _after_ figuring out Q/E :-P )
Charming game! Love the art style, and the background music is nice. Great entry!
Cool game! Art and sound are good, and the gameplay is fun. The controls are a bit tricky, but I suspect that's by design as part of the fun is figuring out how the gyro will perform with thrust/tilt. I think I need an "easy mode" with less punishing health/fuel losses though, 'cause I'm a lousy helicopter pilot! :)
Cool game - def see the Binding of Isaac inspiration. And the "MS paint" graphic style actually works! I _do_ think player speed needs to be enquickened(tm).
Hahaha! Love it! Sure, there's not really much gameplay, and too much randomness, but the idea is hilariously relatable! And the voices are great. And the scarf, of course, is magnificent.
Oh man, this is really good! I think you and I must share a lot of interests, given that you liked my Jung stuff too. I'm a history nerd and did my thesis on Native American stuff, so this is totally my jam!
Art and sound are great, and I love the "combat simulator" idea. Would love more info on exactly what attacks they do, what the stats do, etc, so moving the party members into different formations felt more strategic. Implementing more story would obviously be great too.
I did run into a couple bugs. The first was that after reviving Don Luis from "death" by camping his sprite still presented as dead/wounded.
The second was more game breaking - the main UI went blank making progression impossible (and Juan was becoming a beast, at level 14). Screenshot below.
Anyway, love the game! Would love to see a fleshed out version someday!
Capitan.png
Very cool narrative! Love it! Don't know if you have any expansion plans, but this would make for a really good rpg-ish backstory - running around whatever post-apocalypse tunnels people live in and uncovering the conspiracy bit by bit.
Great entry!
Haha, very chill game! I _did_ make it to the end - had to see if you copied the whole book in there! I will say this - after a while audio starts to sound like a modem from the early nineties!
Nice work!
(and dang, Alice got some junk in her trunk!)
Hahaha! Okay, _someone_ had to do the theme we all thought of at first! :-D
Nice little game! The light ball "find a path" mechanic is clever but the implementation was a little frustrating.
Cool little game! I like the art style, and the controls feel good. I'm glad you included a difficulty option and "retry level" buttons for people like me who are bad at shooters!
The web version wouldn't even load up on either chrome or firefox, but the windows .exe worked.
Good compo game!
Nifty game! The "cut scene" images are funny - I especially like the boyfriend's "shocked" face when the mole pops out! The gameplay is fun, but could definitely use some more prompts to let you know when you're getting into the danger zone - audio would be perfect for that. At first I couldn't figure out how to activate anything - trial and error before I discovered that "e" was the mapped key.
Very chill game! The music is perfect for the mood. I think I got too close to the surface and got stuck on a collider or something though - I ended up able to move horizontally but not back down vertically.
Feedback: having the camera be always on, and not impede movement would be better, letting you just quickly snap a photo with left click. And, of course, a proper quit button rather than needing alt-f4!
Great entry overall!
Agree with everyone else - as is the game _looks_ great, but gameplay is just "hold D to walk." Also, I started getting some lag/choppiness around -300m and on (got worse the deeper I went) - might check to see if there's a memory leak or something in there?
Very polished! Love the visuals and the soundscape! Gameplay is good, but targeting is sometimes a little fiddly, especially when you're farther towards the "back end" of the level. Maybe an over the shoulder camera (or even 1st person) would be a good option?
Great entry!
Very cool idea. Love the music and atmosphere! Gameplay seems pretty punishing though - I couldn't seem to find a good direction/balance to grow that didn't result is super quick tree death :(
@groggi No suffering! I played a couple more times just now with your updates, and was able to survive much longer. Also had some fun playing around with creative mode, which is pretty fun. Realized that you can grow multiple trees with one root system - pretty cool! Cheers
tree.png
Looks interesting, but didn't really work for me. Left click did nothing (wasn't just an animation issue - I kept left clicking that mummy for over a minute straight doing no damage at all).
Cool game idea - could definitely be expanded into an interesting narrative game. The controls could probably use some feedback - was hard to tell that the attack was doing anything at first. Solid start though!
Really good atmosphere. Love the art! Controls feel good. You could probably expand this out into a full multi-level game pretty easily! Just needs the time to do playtest iteration and level architecture tightening + mood music. Great entry!
Haha, poor little gun-toting ghost, you didn't deserve to die so many times to spiders!
Cool idea! I didn't get far, but I'm pretty bad a sidescrollers in general. Is there a quit option anywhere? I had to alt-f4.
Wow, the feels :'(
Great work, esp for only using 24 hours!
Nice, a Zorklike! (is that a thing? Come to think of it, if you squint, your "wisdom of the ancients" icon looks vaguely "Z-shaped" too!)
Nifty little text game. Loved the wall of platitudes!
Cool game! Love the animations!
Art and music/sounds are fantastic! Game idea/theme is awesome and hilarious!
The gameplay is where it stumbles a bit though. I played until I got bored, around score 50 or so (OK, I got bored before then, but thought 50 might be a "win the game" break point...). The worst part of the gameplay is that it requires you to keep your eyes glued to the arrow icon so you can't enjoy the rest of the great art on screen!
Even though that probably comes off complain-y, I loved the entry overall! Great work!
Fantastic game! Great art, soundscape, story. Loved it!
Fun game! The strategy of digging/finding pathways that don't get you stuck is great! Movement feels good, and the art is nice. The background music is good, but does get a little repetitive (though obv I understand that it's tough to get in a bunch of tracks for a jam).
Great work!
Very cool, love tabletop card games! Haven't had a chance to actually play yours yet, but I've played enough similar games in the past to tell it'd be fun from your video!
Nice game! I like the light management idea. Good art and really good music!
Very cool! Love the paleontology theme! Strategy was fun to puzzle out, and I'm glad you didn't have a punishing "one failure, and you start all over" approach! Could easily be expanded post-jam with more upgrades, levels, fossils, etc. Great entry!
Nice game; chill experience! Was more fun than I assumed it'd be from the screenshot with basic shapes :)
I might have hit a bug though - my score stayed locked at zero, even though I got fairly far (WebGL build, on Firefox, for reference).
zero.png
Fun little game though! Good work!
@soarendev Ha ha, that's probably it! I just assumed I was supposed to dodge _all_ the boxes!
Very cool idea, working deeper backwards in time! Unfortunately, I'm terrible at bullet hell type games and when 1 hit is all you get that means I didn't make it any further than the second battle (not for lack of trying - I died _a lot_).
a checkpoint system could work well. It seemed like you had one, but after a single respawn to battle 2 dying sent me right back to the start of the game :(
That said, the game looks nice, has a clever story idea, and I like the music! Good entry!
Very cool, you should definitely develop it more!
Good game! Love the visuals/art and the soundscape. The lighting lanterns mechanic works well, and the lighting effects look great.
Wow, deep theme, I'm glad you made it. The art is really good, and I like that it ends on a hopeful note! The music was good, but a little repetitive. More tracks would be nice (but it's hard to find time for everything in a jam!)
This is really fun! I like the strategy of bee-lining the best soil. Made it to level 38, which I _think_ means I won. Chill music too. I do agree with some others here that the middle-click control is a little awkward. Also, the "hand" of tiles is obscured/camouflaged a bit when over already placed roots.
Great entry overall!
Nice work on this! AS with others, it took me 2 tries to figure out some of the controls/mechanics - a brief explanation upfront would be nice.
Art and soundscape are fantastic. I think I even saw a filmgrain effect in there adding to the style. Great work!
Cool concept! Love the Titan setting. Great ship model. I got 7 samples before running out of power. Actual gameplay seemed a bit lacking, but it's an excellent base/prototype to build on!
Ha ha, "now we're movin'!" Love it. It's not *really* "Dwarf Fortress meets Kerbal Space Program".... but it kinda is!
Very cool art and music! Obviously not much gameplay there, as the showcase was on those elements. Great work!
Neat little game! I like the sharkmarine (all the art, really). The levels with lowering light, and eventual giant spotlight needed for visibility is good. Actually finding the fish collectables is pretty rng - I think having more environmental exploration would be cool. Good game!
Wow, absolutely nailed the ambiance/mood! Art and music are great! Sure, gameplay is pretty limited, but this feels more like an extended interlude that might separate two gameplay sections of a larger production.
Only 2 small technical issues I noticed. 1) The custom "hand" cursor reverted to a regular pointer early on, after clicking the first floating item. 2) The fog in the foreground sometimes had a faint "checkerboard" impression in it.
Overall, great experience!
Chill game, I like it! Harpooning 2+ fish in a go feels great. Some relaxing music would be nice (but obv it's tough to get everything in that you want in a jam). I also noticed that the "retry" button didn't work when I ran out of O2.
Super interesting idea! As someone interested in both history and psychology, it really appeals to me. Well executed also. Visuals and soundscape are great. Dancing Hitler at the end is hilarious.
Sure, there were a few typos and anachronisms, but that's pretty much inevitable when you have just 72 hours to make the game. The only thing that seemed "missing" was a skip ahead button, to zip through repeating text animations.
Great game!
@eugenik Nah, I thought it was fine. Only suggestion there would be to add a volume control somewhere so people can adjust to their taste.
Fun game! Definitely reminds me of an 80s-90s arcade!
Love the cute cat character, and the rest of the graphics. Game was too hard for me to really have much fun with it though (which, admittedly, might be down to my own poor coordination). Music is great though! I would have loved it if it were more of an exploration type of game, rather than action/fight oriented.
What a lovely game! Love the instructions! Artstyle is fun, and the music is good (it _didn't_ actually get to an annoying level of repetitive)! Fully enjoyed!
Very cool! Great atmosphere!
Haha, cool idea, but _very_ short!
Very cool! Love the audio. Love the art style. A full-blown point and click type adventure in this style would be awesome!
Wow an RTS is LD - very cool! Obviously there are a lot of features and QOL stuff missing in a such a big endeavor put together in just 72 hours, but well done for making it playable in that time!!
Very cool! Art, sound, action - all great! I did have trouble figuring out the fuel mechanic at first though - it isn't *immediately* apparent that refueling is something you need to worry about! Great entry though!
Great work! Love the idea, and the art/soundscape are really good (especially the audio)! Gameplay is compelling too - kept me trying over several times until finally managing the cure. Fun game!
Wow, that's pretty fun! Clean, simple aesthetic, and the music was repetitive but in a chill rather than irritating way. Most fun I've had losing my job and having nightmares every night!
Good to see another card game here (my entry is a card game too - shameless plug!)
Fun game! Wasn't quite clear on some of the game mechanics though. I couldn't tell if there was any difference between the resources to collect. I also couldn't see any reason to ever "rest" - maybe if you got a locked hand?
Enjoyed it though. Would be great to expand on it with more upgrades to purchase and some sort of "expedition objectives" or something!
Pretty fun! I like the strategy of judging the jumps + momentum to try skipping over multiple obstacles. Not sure if I like the "MS Paint" art or not. I _think_ I do - it has a certain style to it anyway!
Mua ha ha, none can beat the 1337ness of my score!
1337.png
Seriously though, game is really fun. Art and soundscape are great too. Good entry!
Fun game, very chill! Love the angry looking robot character! I actually liked that getting $$ to max out the upgrades ramped up pretty quick - if it didn't getting to the win condition probably would have felt a little grindy. I think if you expand on this with more exploration/game objectives, _then_ would be the time to adjust the $$$ rate.
Very cool! Graphics and sound are great. And anyone who played a ton of lemmings in the nineties like me gets a nice nostalgia rush!
Art: charming!
Music: tremendous!
Theme: great!
Left and right click mechanic: I kinda hate it. Not sure why, it just didn't seem like it added anything for me.
That's my only complaint though - other than that an even _longer_ traipse through Shakespearean psyche flashbacks would be nice! Great work!
Very moody/atmospheric! Art style works well, and the music. Good work!
Nice, fun game! An endless... fisher, I guess? The old boot got me in the end... :)
Adorable game - love the artwork! Soundscape and gameplay are solid too!
Nice work! The constant scrolling forest definitely made me dizzy though!
Awesome entry! Love the sleep take on the theme, and I never would have thought of trying a vocab game. Gets really hard pretty quick! Good simple sound/visuals too!
Game idea, art, sound - all great! But I'm terrible at these sorts of games, so I didn't get far. I hope Psyche ended up with a kind and loving beast!
Nice, a 2-player game! I had to play solo, but it was still fun! Simple but effective gameplay. My only minor piece of feedback is that when the water levels rise the blue walls sort of blend in, making it a little tough to navigate (especially with the screenspace being so small). Great entry!
Wow, using a custom engine is impressive! Nice game, though I'm terrible at sidescrollers, so I didn't make it far. Sparta kick ftw though! A "restart" option would be nice on player death, rather than just having to relaunch the game.
The game looks great! Soundscape is good too. My problem is that I'm not very good at it! Not much room for error on that fuel consumption. :)
Nice; cool mechanic! Definitely an innovative take on the theme! _kind of_ a memory game (not quite, but similar). Would be nice if the grid marks on all 4 screens were super clear - I had to lean in a squint on some of them to get my distances right!
Art is charming (both illustrations and in-game models), and the music is nice. Great entry!
Nice game! Took me a couple tries to figure out how important it is to use both thrusters at once to "hover" consistently, but once I did, it was really fun.
Art and soundscape are great. Really enjoyed!
Very cool idea - the game just needs to be longer in order to really take advantage of it. Love the art and humor as well.
Fun game, I really enjoyed it! Love the Atlantis theme. An expanded version with more encounters and mechanics could be fun too!
Adorable game! Love the art and music. I didn't notice much in the way of strategy other than just "battering ram" your way through. Reminds me of a phone game you'd get to keep your kid occupied (in a good way)!
Nice atmosphere! I like the cute ghost sprite. Background music is good. Took me a minute to figure out how to go through the first door!
Good voiceovers (hint: if you use something like Audacity, there's an easy feature to clean up some of the background noise from your clips. Something I just figured out after someone suggested it in a comment on my game. You can also snip off the end of the clip to remove the "mouse-click" sound from when you stop recording!)
Good compo entry!
@dergamer No problem! I _just_ found out about those features this week as a consequence of feedback in the jam myself!
Hahaha, love it!
Very cool art! Music is good too.
I know you said that you fixed a bug where the player could leave the map, but I was still able to, on level 2. Once outside, I couldn't get back _in_ though.(Screenshot below - yellow arrow points to where the break in the "barrier" was)
Good entry!
sketchout.png
Good pixel art and music! I did find a bug where the "manual" couldn't be exited (web) - had to reload the page.
Gameplay has promise, but as-is I found it more on the "annoying" side of challenging than the "fun" side. Trying to juggle 3 depleting meters (life, heat, and light) is a bit much. the shrinking visibility from you lamp depleting exacerbates that as well.
Overall, impressive work for the 48 hour compo! While I think the gameplay needs work (and who's jam game doesn't?), there's definitely a shiny gem in there to be polished!
A bit hard to figure out at first, but fun! Definitely hits that "just one more try" spot - quite compelling (tried for a "rappelling" pun here, but meh).
Rope physics are cool. It'd be nice if you would just stop at the end of the rope, rather than automatically letting go. Or maybe I'm just not coordinated enough :)
Never did make it to the bottom of the darned canyon, but I might give it another try. Or a dozen. Great entry!
Ha ha, didn't expect to see another Jung game in LD! Thanks for the tag @emiliabea
This shooter is way harder than my game. I didn't make it to far because I too have the "old man reflexes" :-D
Art is good though, and the game looks fun (if shooters were my thing). Good entry!
ps: also love the "Jung Guns" pun!
Cool game! Art and sound are great. I _would_ like checkpoints though, gameplay-wise, due to my old man reflexes. I did notice a few minor bugs, like getting momentarily stuck on walls, and some graphical jitters and sound crackles (WebGL version). Overall though, great game!
Excellent game, loved it! The themes were very "Erich Neumann-esque"
@ynneblack I just played it - while I might not have seen everything I would characterize the spider "graphicness" as pretty tame. And pretty much all text.
@kieron-woodhouse Sorry about that. Need to work on my "adapting to other resolutions" skills I guess!
@ruslanch @lighty-the-light @hotpaw @smooches Thanks, glad you liked it!
@kr4ft3r Thanks! You didn't miss much - memory charges let you avoid some of the "bad" card effects (kind of a "shield" I guess), and introversion lets you hover over the deck to see what the next card will be. I wanted to add all that into a tutorial, but ran out of time and tried to keep the "wall of text" tutorial at the start as short as possible!
Glad you liked it!
@secret-magic-404 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Good feedback, I'll definitely clean the audio and typos for an update.
@frompdx @j-kyle You guys are 100% correct! Music, card animations/feedback, and more powers were all things sacrificed to the demanding 48 hour compo gods!
@eugenik Glad you liked it! You are correct - _ideally_ the quotes would be more targeted, but due to the 48 hour time crunch I went with a random pool of quotations.
Lovely game! The art is great, and I really like the background music! Pirate/mermaid romance ends about how you would expect :-D
Would be nice to have an exit option on the main menu - unless I missed it. I just alt-F4ed.
Ha ha, cool! Love the idea of playing as a treasure chest! Great visuals too!
What a surreal experience! I see that plenty of people found it stressing, but I thought it was pretty chill navigating/drifting through the brain! Maybe I just "got the hang" of the controls more intuitively than some? The music added a lot. Weird but good!
No one else has mentioned this, so maybe it just bugged on my system, but I started hitting obstacles while still obscured by the opening textbox. Also, the whole screen turned blue after a bit, like this:
Bleu.png
Bleu Cheese maybe?
Anyway, it's a good start - regardless of any issues it's always an accomplishment to finish a working game for a jam!
Very cool! Love the sound and atmosphere. I didn't solve the puzzle, but the theme and *feel* of the game are great!
Cool idea! I wish there were more levels! Like everyone else, love the animal robbers art. Some audio would be nice, but its tough to find time for that in a jam (I certainly didn't get all the audio I wanted in my own entry!) Great work!
Nice! A little tricky to get the hang of, but it kept me trying until I made the delivery (249 seconds on that one)!
Moving the UI out of the way would be nice though - the buttons kept getting in the way. Also, was there an exit option anywhere? I had to alt-f4.
Haha! Surprisingly fun. Also, obligatory "Nice!"
hmm.png
Nice, cool idea!
Cool idea! I didn't get too far though because the "X" responsiveness seemed off a bit. Love the character sprite!
Cool. I am now disoriented and lost!
Really cool game. Graphics, sound, and controls are all great. I think the tempo is a bit (or a lot) too quick though. There were "shops" or areas to pick up new equipment, but I couldn't figure out how to interact with them. Stopping for even a second to try different key-presses resulted in lava death :-(
Procedural generation lends itself to exploration, but time pressure is kinda antithetical to exploratory gameplay. My 2 cents anyway :)
Hahaha! Gross, and hilarious! Also, surprisingly fun and challenging after my 8-year-old sense of humor let me stop laughing. Great entry!
Wow, a lot of work obviously went into this. Great job!
Damn, what a great vampire survivors style game! Definitely done right. Duke Nukem vibes too. I guess my recent binging on VS is to thank for winning this one the first time through. Played HTML version, but downloading too so I have it for later. Awesome work!
What a lovely game! Definitely a piece of art. I love how the FX and music blend together. And the end = actual feels. Tremendous work!
Love it! Creative art and super chill music. Also, ages ago I had a job driving deliveries, and did a lot of exactly this, meandering through town slowly, procrastinating getting back to work :-D
Very cool, I love text games! The music was great too (though I _did_ have to have it on in SoundCloud in the background). My only real feedback is that Antediluvian's text was almost unreadable without highlighting it, being black on dark purple. Sure, more choices would be good, but that's a big ask for a 48 hour dev period. Anyway, thanks for the great game!
Nice, I do like card games! The art is great, and the mechanics are good.
More varied cards would be good, as it does get a little repetitive (future suggestion, of course - current variation is _plenty_ for a game made in a weekend). You might consider making the artwork for wandering and hunting monsters more distinct - more than once I go caught out thinking a hunter was a wanderer! :-(
Some music for ambience would be a great addition. The effects already in there are good as-is, and fit the card game genre.
Great work!
Excellent game! Mechanics are solid, and the visuals/audio fit really well. Seems well balanced too - I eked out a win, but barely (down to just 1 defender on both the north and south walls)!
Alamo.PNG
The special abilities are good too. I _do_ think the game should warn you of the limitations up-front though (Bowie being unable to move after his wall has already attacked, or Travis having to be used before playing any cards that turn). Additionally, the activation prompts for the abilities could fit the rest of the game aesthetic better, instead of just being standard "Windows gray" interface boxes :-D
Great entry, really enjoyed!
Cool game, and I love the art! The gameplay is fun too - seems pretty polished. I played a couple runs, but couldn't beat it. On my second run I got to the point of needing to defeat 9 feelings, and has exactly 9 in the deck, including the inevitable. Unfortunately it was still a loss, even fighting it at the beginning before taking any daily damage. I guess it takes a certain combo of levelup choices for a good build. Nothing wrong with that.
I _did_ wish that the player health indicator included max health. That, and some indication of how much you'd heal at night - I couldn't really judge if the "heal more" sleep choice would ever be a good pick.
Adding music and audio effects would be a huge boost too. But even without them you've done a great job!
Nice, fun game. Love the artwork! I also like how the enemy ships "blend in" more with the evacuation ships on hard mode.
This is really good - way too addicting!
Ha ha, clever idea! Good job!
Cool little game! Takes a bit to get used to - only being able to lazer completely vertically was a little unintuitive. Nice work on the art and sound!
Simple concept - obviously still early in the prototype stage. Could turn out good with more development!
Almost skipped this one, but I'm glad I didn't. This game is really cool - I love the absurd plot/concept, great art/sound, and the gameplay.
Unfortunately, bugs kept me from being able to finish. The first bug was that after the first transition event all the "sticky notes" with the decisions were below the play area. I could _just_ click the top of one, so I cold continue, but not make any actual choice.
The second bug hit when it was down to just me and Honza. The Machine just stopped launching balls even though there were 3 left. The handle would crank, but no balls :-(
So, sadly it was a soft lock. WebGL version btw. Still, very cool game - just needs debugging!
Awesome, I _do_ love text based games! Good writing on this one. Ink seems quite good - I've got it installed, but haven't played around with it enough yet.
Really enjoyed this - great work!
Cool little game! I like the procedural roads.
Nice game! Controls, art, sound - all good. Great work!
Wow, impressive jam game! Definitely a lot of work put into it. Great concept, fun gameplay, and hilarious idea too. Great work!
Excellent atmosphere with your great artwork and audio! I definitely get a "five nights at Freddie's" inspiration vibe. I think the "tutorial" at the beginning is too quick though. The texts disappeared before I could fully read them. Also, there wasn't enough time to read the monster info on the wall before things were already going.
Maybe the texts could have "dismiss buttons," and then you could have a "paused" game state at the beginning to look around, read everything, and get your bearings before clicking "unpause" and starting the night.
Aside from those minor details though, great work. Horror ambiance is perfect, as well as the jump scares!
Awesome game! Good concept, art, sound. Fun to play. Could definitely be expanded more too. Great work!
lol, this one made me laugh! Simple game, but it works well. Controls feel good. Art, music, and effects all fit the aesthetic (can I call it that?). Great work!
Edit: also, the poor harried look on that mom - _she_ deserves a nap!
Cool little puzzle game! Took me a little bit to understand the mechanics, but I had fun once I did. As others have said, animations and piece rotation would be great additions. I _think_ my final score is pretty good.
MightyCrossroad.png
Awwww, cute little dinos! Too bad for them I suck at hoarding food, and the asteroid got em. Got the dam though! Even though it's minimalistic, the design on this is great! Good job!
Absolutely lovely game! Puzzle games are great, and I love the chill atmosphere wedded with the ANE flood narrative archetype - great combo! The mechanics/solutions are really good too.
Ha ha, a lot more capitalism and supply-chain logistics than I expected from the title! Maybe I missed it, but was there a pause button? Would be nice to be able to sit back and really examine the resources, placement, and get a plan together. Or maybe that's by design, to build up a frenetic atmosphere? Either way, great work! Love the voice acting, btw!
Hilarious concept! I do feel like the horror soundscape clashed a bit with it, though I get why you went with it. Not really enough gameplay elements to work with, imo. And holding mouse1 in order to look around is a bit unintuitive. Great work on the art assets though!
Nice work - simple and fun! Art style is good, and the background track works well. Difficulty ramps up quick. Great work!
Good concept. I like the art quite a bit. Gameplay was a bit too tough for me though, lol. Good work though!
Cool set of mini-games! Love the theme and artwork. I do agree with the commenter who suggested making the lose condition harder, since you can just hold down the mouse button on the amphora. Adding some audio would be great too. I'd say the art is the standout here - I especially like Ixion and the feathered wheel! Good work!
Nice little game! The background music, picture, and typeface all fit the noir atmosphere. Appropriate that today in the USA (April 18) is officially the tax return deadline this year! Good job!
Very cool game - a lot of fun! I can echo some of the other feedback though - Some sort of sound notifications as the lose conditions approach would be good. The graveyard was a bit hard to figure out when to use. And the manor could have stood out more. All that aside, it's a terrific game!
Wow, awesome game! Dunno how you had time to add _character customization_ in a jam! And on top of that, the rest of the game is super well done too. Love the music track - very catchy. Also, lol at "please imagine we had time to animate this" :-D
Good game! As other have said, audio would probably be the #1 best addition. Also having no health bar made it so death always came as a surprise. I think auto-continuous fire would be a good idea too. Movement feels good though, and the art is fantastic!
Very cool game! (I mean, you can hardly go wrong with a programming game being played and rated by other game programmers, right?) ;-)
The game is well polished and fun. sure, the theme connection is a bit weak, but who really cares. The only "bug" I ran into was visual - sometimes the "preview" of the commands you'd get from the parts boxes would go off screen so I couldn't fully see what I would get from them:
Halting.png
Anyway, great work, I had fun!
Nice, simple game. Really fits the theme! Once you get into it, the tempo hits an enjoyable groove. Great work!
Visually interesting. Gameplay-wise.... I don't know if you could ever save more than one person. I managed to get 1 guy up to the portal by picking him up and just carrying him up there the whole way.
Only able to do so, btw, by what must be the "exploit" of just holding down the mouse button the whole time so a stream of light orbs constantly shot down to keep the dark at bay.
Unfortunately, when I put him down, he just stood there staring at the portal like a deer in the headlights. I tried throwing him in - he disappeared, but the "safe" counter stayed at 0. :-(
Anyway - I think it _could_ be fun, with some work!
Ha ha, nice! FMV made me feel like I was gaming in the late 90's again!
Very cool game! Took a bit to figure out all the solutions, but that's part of the fun. Level art and sound design is great. The only real issue I has was some hitboxes being a bit hard to judge - particularly the card reader and spraying the bugs (for the bugs, maybe it just seemed to take too long to kill them, rather than it being a hitbox thing - hard to say).
Cool little game. Lighting is on point! I think the platforms themselves need more variation or something though - the constant pattern of tree obstacles followed by pits got repetitive and a tad annoying in that they were spaced exactly to prevent getting into a good momentum/rhythm - didn't _feel_ smooth to play, if that makes sense. The actual elements of the game definitely have promise though!
Nice! Movement feels really good, and I like the art/sound. You could almost just remove "space to shoot" and have the weapon fire automatically - there's really no reason to let up at all!
WHAT FEVER DREAM HATH I FALLEN INTO LOL??? Weird but interesting. Good work!
This looks great, LucasArts style adventure games are definitely my jam! I'm focusing on games with ratings enabled for now, but downloading this to play later!
Good game, really well done! Movement and shooting feel good, and the "drop to next level" mechanics are cool.
Cool - fun little game! I do think the power level of the new cards you get should ramp up more quickly. It doesn't take long until you can hardly make a dent in the horde, and then you just have a few "consolation rounds" before the mob reaches the walls. Still fun though. Made it to 341, which probably isn't very good :-D
Zombies.PNG
Great work!
Graphics and animations are well done. I didn't really have fun with it though, for a few reasons. (played HTML5 version, btw)
1. Whatever the "crow" mechanic was, it didn't work for me. Pressing Q did nothing, whether near a pole with a crow or not.
2. The punch animation seems way too slow and hard to connect. Even when I did connect with it (many times in a row) the target never went down. As near as I can tell from my playing, it did zero damage.
3. Relatedly, the game would often bug out and clicking wouldn't even trigger the attack. At least the roll always worked though.
Hard to say how widespread those issues are though. Could be just an unfortunate mix of my particular PC hardware and itch.io's WebGL? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So, I'd say it has promise, but needs a lot of work. As I mentioned, visuals are great!
Very cool puzzle game! As a history nerd I appreciate the regime flavor texts/metaphor. The art and sound are good and fit the game really well. The actual puzzles are well done and fun to figure out. Some of the mechanics (I'm thinking mainly of the coin sliding in the last phase) could use some explanation. Maybe not necessary though, since the level reset is so easy, and allows for easy trial and error for learning. Great work guys!
edit: I almost forgot - you missed a _huge_ pun opportunity for the title to be _fifth_ column :-D /nerd
Nice work, solid little game! Good art, sound, and control feedback. Just two minor bugs I ran into:
1. When the mouse cursor is a certain point near the nose of the ship, the ship doesn't actually rotate, but your projectile shoots "backwards" through the ship to the rear.
2. Sometimes (but pretty rare) an asteroid will "go invisible." I _think_ it might trigger if you destroy another asteroid close to it.
Also, 2 suggestions. First, there seems to be no reason to actually move the ship with wasd, other that right at the beginning to center yourself on Earth. Maybe powerups could appear, that you'd have to go grab?
Second, clicking to fire gets a bit hard on the finger after a while. Maybe add in a "hold for continuous fire" or even just auto-firing? The "Power Up" could still have utility, as it increases fire rate as well.
Regardless, good game! I had fun with it.
And P.S. - probably you'll get more ratings/comments if you rate more games yourself!
Defensio.PNG
What a great idea! Love the art/music, and gameplay! I agree w/everyone else that it's too easy, but it's hard to balance that sort of thing in just a weekend.
Played the update. Definitely seems to be balanced better. I made it around 10 minutes this time. I agree the UI is probably the next thing to update. A simple click to select versus the current drag into place to assign minions would be much better. I _like_ the drag mechanic, but you do it so much that it gets really tiresome.
One more observation - I found myself almost never having time to actively look at/notice "Bario's" progression. Having audio effects to indicate events, especially if they could somehow indicate how close you are to losing might be really good.
And yes, would definitely like to see the code for your version select for webGL. Cheers.
Nice game! Good music! I _was_ disappointed that my original gambit of "leap over the side and swim for it" just resulted in falling endlessly through a gray void though :-D
Nice little game! Aiming _is_ a bit tricky at first, but once I figured it out (which took some experimenting and a few 0 or 1 scoring games) I was able to get into a good rhythm. Once that's mastered, the blue "bonus balls" giving back time pretty much mean you can score indefinitely! I went to 200 and stopped there.
BB.PNG
The "dings" when you score give a nice little dopamine hit too! Had fun. Good entry!
Nice work! It's quite hard - I could only make it to level 2 (to be honest though, I DID ignore your warning and played the WebGL version). I think maybe having a different keypress for "donate power" might be a good suggestion - I kept trying to attack enemies while in the portal, and it donates instead. That said, the design of having to balance charging the enemy and then returning to the portal works well.
Ha ha, what a weird game (in a good way)! A lot went into making it work, I can tell. My only gripe is that the camera/controls were a bit too wonkey for me to be any good at it. Did make it to the apple after a few tries, but still died. Great work!
Lovely game, definitely a lot or work went into it! Love the art and the dialogue! Adorable characters. I didn't pay all the way through because tower defense isn't really my thing, and I get bored of playing the genre pretty quick. But that's not the game's fault, just my personal gaming preferences.
I _did_ hit a couple bugs though (HTML5).
1. In some scene transitions it would do an annoying "stutter-freeze" for a few seconds.
2. Right before I stopped playing (on the mission after getting Artemis), I was supposed to have 5 of Artemis's archer girls, but the game was letting me place infinity of them! Maybe I just wasn't understanding something, but it seemed like a bug. (Edit: on second look, maybe the "5" is a cost - probably scratch this item)
Aside from those two things though, very well polished. Great entry!
Ha ha, what a cool take on Tetris! I'm not very good at it (or, original Tetris, come to think on it), but it's well done. Congrats on pushing it to Google Play, btw!
Nice work! I like the music, and I think you got the balloon physics down. I'm terrible at piloting it, btw. My greatest triumph was finally making it through a green hoop! Also, not sure it it was intended, or a glitch, but on my machine the air was full of these odd poles coming up through the clouds.
Clouds.png
@gbgames @rashcan Great feedback, thanks! I've added some additional supplemental tips and charts that might make it easier to get figured out.
@honey-pony @acearcher Thanks for the feedback - great ideas in there! There's definitely room to add more mechanics clarification in. I always have trouble predicting what people will have trouble with, developing and testing alone. I might see about adding an in-game notepad or even a way to "draw" on the map (never tried coding anything like that before - need to look into it)!
The sound glitch is interesting. It's probably the walking audio (supposed to be the swooshing of the dress). It _should_ only play while walking, but the way I coded it _seemed_ backwards, like it logically ought to play when _not_ moving. But it worked that way, so I shrugged it off as a "late-night" code mystery. I'll have to check and see if I can figure out if there's something in there to explain the bug.
Anyway, thanks again for the feedback!
@fionnabhair Thanks for the feedback. I think you're right, it _does_ get repetitive after a bit. No idea if I'll do anything with it beyond this jam, but if so I'll need to develop some sort of 2nd and/or 3dr tier elements to deepen the gameplay.
@proxy-games @koalatte Thanks for the great feedback! I think you're right - a more centralized UI would be a good change.
@gdesecrate lol, congrats! Blessed by the RNG gods, I guess!
@psytron Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it!
Nice work! Movement and attacks feel great, and the art is good. Definitely in the prototype stage though. More weapons and some type of progression - even scoring of some sort - would be great!
Great work! Gameplay is fun (though I'm notoriously bad at this genre, lol). The art is perfect - Slippy Joe is adorable. Love the "regen" mechanic too.
Love it, chef's kiss. Never would have thought of making PlayerPrefs part of the game plot! Great work!
Ha ha, this is hilarious - awesome concept! My only gripe is that when you lose it's all of a sudden, and with no indication why. Having some sort of feedback when you've missed something that should've been slapped/banned as you go along would be good. And some sort of trackable lose parameters - "virtual hitpoints" or something (however you could make it thematically work). Overall though, great work!
Cool, nice desert environment! I like the models. Pretty bare bones on game mechanics, but it looks like a good base for something!
Cool prototype. And yes, the retro 3D graphics add a kind of nostalgic charm. As others have said though, the jumps are _way_ too floaty and the chaotic camera is essentially game's the main enemy! That said, I _was_ able to 'win' pretty easily:
ZDoom.PNG
Buhanochka lives forever, as the Z hordes, having completely lost their logistical supply lines, continuously fling themselves over the cliff edge and into the void for all eternity!
Nice - simple little game! Made 886km. If you ever expand it, more variation on clouds and currents (maybe powerups or something) would be good. Plus some more varied music/audio. Great work though!
Nice! Good arcade-y fun! The powerups feel good. Graphics and music/audio are great. Good work!
Cool little game! Movement is nice and responsive, and it ends up being a bit addictive. Does seem to have some RNG where you get spots where no jumps are possible though.
The concept and art are really good. Especially the art, which gets an A+. Unfortunately the mechanics and jumping physics are pretty bad, so it isn't really all that fun to play. Jumping seems too "floaty," and the platforms you're jumping to are often off screen, making it something of a "blind jump." Hitboxes on being able to pick up the relics seem to small too - you have to be in _juuust_ the right spot for it to register. Music/sound would add a lot too.
But as I said, A+ on the art assets! :-)
Cool little game. Definitely difficult - fits the theme. And yes, my spacebar too is now broken. Great work!
Very moody! Love the art and music. Not sure how I feel about the ending - too ambiguous if it was a _good_ ending or not. As intended, I imagine. Good game!
Very cool! Love the art and sound design. Original concept with the time looping. I'm terrible at platformers, so I didn't make it far, but it's obviously really well done!
Good game. Love the theme (and title pun!). I'm terrible at sidescrollers however, so I didn't make it far. Good art and sound design though!
Cool idea. I like the art! Having some sound would've been good. Also, IMO the character movement is a bit too sluggish. And - the poor adventurer's body. After you die the monsters just keep thrashing it forever!
Cool little game - simple, but fun. And it has the plus that it wasn't too hard for me to beat, which is rare for a bullet hell game (I usually suck at them). Great work!
The art is adorable, and the background music is good (though it could get repetitive, I imagine). I actually really like the "canvas" background - makes it look like the whole game takes place on an oil painting. Great concept, too bad you didn't finish it.
Cool game idea! I think it still needs a lot of work though - a big 3D endeavor like this would be really tough to fully flesh out in a weekend!
Cool little game. Definitely seems to have "Spore phase 1" inspirations (though what microbe game _doesn't_?). I didn't care much for the invisible walls though, when "running away backwards" is the only really viable survival strategy! This could certainly be developed into something really good though!
Wow, solid game! Took me a moment to figure out the "click and drag outline to move" mechanic, but it's really clever. And fun. The B&W art style does it for me too. Great work!
Gameplay is good, though pretty standard. The real winner here is the super awesome hex map! Would love to see something with gameplay more tied to it, rather than it just being visual candy. Very cool entry though!
Good work! Lile the graphics, for sure. Definitely too easy - I don't think I took a single point of damage, and ended up buying out the shop! So it needs balancing, but otherwise is a great entry!
Very cool! Love the voice work. And the music is nice and chill. With only 3 choices of builds and no "events" (or something like that) it doesn't play for more than 10 minutes or so without getting dull, but it's a _great_ prototype for something you could develop into a really fun game! Great work!
Nice game! Good take on the theme. I like the art, and the controls are good. I'm notoriously bad at platformers though, and especially wall jumps, so I only made it a ways. Still enjoyed. The real gimmick here isn't the 10 sec autosave though, it's "G to attack" lol!
Interesting game - I like the lighting effects. Agree that the sound could use work. Also, it's hard to keep track of the different levels, even with the name labelled at the bottom. Maybe have a unique color tint to the tiles based on each level, or something? Anyway, good work!
Nice game! Good mix of random guns and baddies. I do think the jump is a bit slow/floaty to be very useful for dodging runners. There might be some memory de-allocation that needs to happen too - I got a fair ways on one run and it started lagging. Great work though!
Nice take on the theme! The game mechanics were a little opaque though. The artwork, however, is fantastic! A+ for presentation - Great work!
Gaah, "Player moves slower" got me! Yes, very pac-manesque. Fun though!
Very cool! Despite the similarities, def a different feel than VS due to the countdown and direction targeting. Gives that same "one more run..." effect though! Good pixel art and sound too!
Nice puzzle game! Art style / visuals / sound design are all on point! I will say that the "ten second theme" might have hurt rather than helped though - it felt like more often than not I'd win a level just by the color changing to the correct one by luck rather than having to solve for it. Excellent entry though!
Very cool. Love the art! Exceptionally polished jam entry!
Great job! Visuals and sound design are on point, and the controls are smooth. Took a while to get a handle on the base energy > powerup game loop though. I wasn't skilled enough to ever get to the boss, but still enjoyed it!
Lol, a Ludum Dare game written for TempleOS was NOT on the list of things I thought I'd see today! Respect.
Art is really good, like everyone is saying. I _could_ launch the game, and it didn't crash or anything, but I don't think it's working - I ran around the kitchen for a few seconds and then got a "Thanks to everyone who played the game" screen with a quit button.
Game looks and sounds great! But - after dying almost immediately numerous times I'm afraid I just don't have the patience to learn the somewhat unintuitive controls well enough to get very far.
I got the same graphics driver warning, and the game crashed. Too bad, it looks interesting! (also, I _guess_ I ought to stop being lazy and update my drivers, lol)
Short, but very atmospheric. Is it okay to call it an artpiece? Really good art and sound design. Anyway it's quite lovely - I would love to see what you'd do with a longer timeframe!
Nice! Though, as it turns out, I'm pretty rubbish at orbital mechanics. Def got "KSP if it were in an arcade" vibes! Great work!
Looks like a great start to a 3d environment! Wish there was a fullscreen mode though. Couldn't quite figure out how to make a fire - F did nothing, even when I had logs :-(
Nice work! Definitely still a work in progress, but it's a good start! Music and other audio would help a lot.
Ha ha, nice little set of minigames! :-)
Very cool; addictive little game! I know it wasn't _meant_ to be a "Vampire Survivors -like," but it has the beginnings of that vibe.
Nice Game! Graphics, sound, and controls are all really smooth. The page isn't letting me rate it for some reason though :-(
@omaewander Nice, rated!
Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!
@jirrev lol, yeah, I did a dumb and forgot to scale the canvas! :-P
@denvil Good idea!
@skel3ton lol, yeah, kicking myself for not putting it in the middle! That plus a camera zoom out feature would have been prime changes. But, y'know, jam timecrunch :-)
@crwohlers Agree - same excuse really tho - very little time for playtesting and balancing!
Very cool game! Quite hard - I gave it a fair number of tries and managed to kill _almost_ 2 towers in my best run. Love the 3D/pixel art mashup! Sound and music are great too.
Nice matching game! Art is good, and the music chill. These games always have that addictive quality too. Great work!
Music _too_ catchy :-D
Good 3d framework. A bit awkward to navigate - I guess partly by design! Def needs polish, but it's impressive for a jam!
Very cool concept and take on the theme! Also love that you included a "hold button for continuous fire" option. It would be cool if the heaven/hell mirrored levels were larger, with some exploration gameplay thrown in!
LOVE the ideas and concepts here! Would def take a ton of work to finish the whole thing, but seems worth it. Also, the visuals reminded me of the FMV in games fad in the mid 90s (but much better, obv)! :-D
Great work! Would love to play the 7-day version if you finish it!
Wow, super polished! Very moody!
Ha ha, nice! I feel like it's more of a framework/environment than a fleshed out game at the moment, but really cool. Great 3d art and sound design!
Love the adorable art! Sound design is good too! I am, unfortunately, terrible at platformers, and could never quite get the last of the alarm clocks on those damned lower platforms, lol! Great work though :-)
Art style and music is good! Couldn't quite puzzle out all the mechanics though. Then I jumped over a wall I probably wasn't supposed to and fell off the world! But I hope Mari gets her venge.
Nice! Def could use more work, but it's a good base framework. The skills aren't really that useful; since the slimes barely move to block you, you can easily just path around them to the exit! Cool that the map is procedural though!
Ha ha, how could I not play "Shotgun Disco Queen?" And it lived up to the name! Art and sound on point for just the right energy. Gameplay has a nice rhythm to it. Great job!
Ngl, the jumps and other movement don't feel great. BUT, the art is adorable! Sound design is good too.
Very cute art! I'm afraid I didn't get too far along though, just because I'm _terrible_ at platforming! Good work though!
Nice, simple game! Def think some background music would be a good addition.
Agree with everyone - good first entry! Really like the background art!
Wow, great work! Art and sound design are on point, and it's a unique mechanic. Plus, of course, solving the puzzles is fun! Love it!
Interesting! I'm definitely not very good at it, and also got a runtime error though :-(
Nice game! Love Tenticlor, ha ha! Art and sound effects are great! The task seems impossible until you realize that Tenti has helpfully removed any collision from the sides of the screen, so you can just eternally dodge away, while still mowing down gobbos! Any advantage is fair play, amiright??
StreetsOfMageWin.png
Great job, loved it (especially Tenti's comments, lol)!
Love the catchy little ditty playing in the background! Great work, for the limited time. I 100% relate to the "series of false starts," lol.
Very fun! Nice quick gameplay. Visuals and sound design are spot on. And it has that "one more try" thing going on. Great work!
Nice! Love the art, especially the cultist chickens, lol! Has that "clicker" addictive quality, though some additional content would be nice (though that goes for _all_ jam games, tbh). Music/sfx would be a nice touch as well. Great job on this though!
This is really fun! Lovely chaos of summoning waves of animals plus earing currency to buy upgrades is definitely a winning combo. Great job!
Wow, this is super cool. I love everything about it! Great work!!
Cool idea, but the controls are pretty clunky. The third ability never worked for me for some reason. Don't know if it was intended, but every once in a while the fireball just wouldn't fire, which can be frustrating. Controls were nice and responsive though, and the idea is solid! Good work!
Interesting game. The artwork is quite good! Early point of gameplay frustration: the mechanics needed to be fully explained up front, or have a "controls" section, or something. It wasn't very intuitive that the summon had to die or come back to your position to return control to the player character. Other than that though, seems to all work as intended. Good work!
Well done! Fun mechanics, and everything works as expected. The art is really good. Only thing missing is music and sfx. Great job!
This is pretty cool! Love the art and ambiance! I _almost_ gave up on it because 1) the controls seemed a bit awkward, and 2) it wasn't clear at first that even objects without the < and > symbols had arrow interactions. But great fun after I figured that out! Good work!
Thanks a ton for the feedback! I DEFINITELY made it too hard, lol. Barely had enough time to finish it, let alone try to do balancing. I've updated to add some tooltip clues as well as include the full walkthrough in the game itself.
@trogdor-20x6 @cats-in-jackets @ghostdev708
@nightrane Thanks for the feedback! There actually _is_ an initial narration; I think you played the game during a brief window when I had up a build where I accidentally had it's trigger disabled. Oops!
And yeah, the music is repetitive. I'm not great at making music so a short loop was all I was up to doing! That's partly why I included volume sliders in the options though!
Love the idea of this. Difficult to figure out the right associations though. Could be really good if fleshed out a bit more though - and adding audio would be good!
Love the idea. Love the art and animations. Unfortunately I couldn't really figure out what the customers were asking for from the icons, so I didn't make it very far. More hints/direction would be good. Also it would be great to have some good audio to accompany the art!
Terrific art, and I like the atmospheric music! Theme/vibe are great! Pretty difficult to solve though (not necessarily a bad thing).
Lovely art, and the sound design is good! Also I love the "cultist running late to the big summoning" concept! Unfortunately timed jumping and rhythm games are two genres that I am terrible at separately, let alone mashed together, so the gameplay isn't for me at all. Game looks really well put together though. Great work!
Nice game!! Web version worked fine for me on Chrome.
The art is gorgeous. Love the cute characters and other charming visuals! I know it's small, but I really like the little spinning gears in the corners :-)
I really wish there was audio. Some chill background music and a few sound effects would go a long way.
Gameplay is okay. I think isometric makes it a little more difficult - regular top down might be better (especially with using keyboard control instead of mouse).
Had fun though! In the end it was the cannon that got me!
Nice! Fun little game. It took me a minute to figure out more than the fireball, but once I got the controls it all worked great. Good work!
uh, double post? lol
This is good! I do think it could use some tuning, especially towards the early game where it's hard to get a good horde going. Also, this might be a "me" thing, but Q and E to change summon selection felt _really_ awkward. I kept wanting to use the mouse scroll wheel! Really great job though - you got a ton done in a short amount of time!
Lovely game! Simple idea, and the execution is 100% charming! Love the art, especially smarty-pants kitty!
Very cool. Really polished for a jam game too! Took me a minute to figure out the summoning mechanic, but pretty fun gameplay once I got the hang of it. Really good art - reminds me of "mobile game style" (and I mean that in the best way possible)! Great job!
Really cool game! Art and audio are on point, and the puzzle mechanics are great! Level design is good - starts off easy and gets progressively more difficult. Awesome work!
Ha ha, this surprised me with how fun it is! Love the game loop and summoning a ghost army. Also, the sfx voices bring me joy. Great work!
Nice work! Lovely artwork, and good concept/execution!
Love the drawings! The circle drawing minigame was interesting - almost a barrier to moving on, tbh, but has just enough of that "one more try" element to keep you going! Ended up getting stuck at the crocodile crossing, as I just couldn't click fast enough :-P
Music and other audio would definitely add to the game. Overall though, good work!
Nice work! Charming background artwork. Appreciate the localization!
