LD19 — Discovery

Distance by austinbreed 2010-12-20T13:53:00

I thought you played this out really well. Not too heavy handed.

My only disappointment was that there was not branching to it. I kind of expected the flirt option to take the ending in a slightly different direction. But I played through it twice and realise it still tells the same story.

Really enjoyed it non the less.

Distance by austinbreed 2010-12-21T11:51:00

Oh well if Increpare is to be trusted (and he seems PRETTY HONEST REALLY) I obviously missed something. My apologies.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Before Impact: Meteor Fantasy by Garywiss 2022-04-11T21:56:30Z

Although it bothered me a little how close this was to its source material it is in general a fun game. The extra goals do ad interesting twist.

DeckHex by Iluvatar 2022-04-06T21:13:41Z

Production was fanastic on this. I'm not totally sold on the actual tuning mechanic though.

Aeldun 20.000 by oillen 2022-10-10T22:20:43Z

I enjoyed this, it felt more like the beginning of a cool strategy game than the full thing but I definitel liked the direction.

Park Lane by DrunkardWolf 2022-04-06T21:51:19Z

I cracked up when I realised this was set in a metty station. Newcastle is ripe for horror ambience. Tell Carlo I said hi.

Turbo Toilet Tomfoolery! by RonanRory 2022-04-06T22:00:29Z

Shame you didn't have fun with the event. I had some fun with the game but yeah the controls felt a bit clumsy and I sometimes got stuck on horizontal doors.

Super Mowser Bros by Guilloteam 2022-04-11T11:29:47Z

Huge fan of this one of my fav games of the jam I've played so far. Would definitely love to see this developed further.

The interface is pretty confusing at first, I did skip the tutorial because I'm not good at remembering a wall of text before getting into a game. Would have preferred in-context tutorial prompts in the game itslef.

Only complaint is probably that you needed to tie it to the theme of LD50. If this had end points when you'd completed worlds I think that would be a lot more satisfying than the endless death march.

Obviously after playing for a while I got ahead of the economy and could play as long as I wanted but that's to be expected within the limits of a weekend jam.

I do hope you consider working on this more, I think there's something really special in the making here.

A Ship Out of Time by deighta 2022-04-06T21:44:46Z

I think the session length might be a bit too long for my tastes. When you're using an unupgraded ship, getting through 3 minutes feels VERY long. Especially when enemies can spawn alongside you and one shot kill you before you can react. I sadly gave up after four attempts. I think if the gameplay loop was shorter and i got to upgrades faster I'd have enjoyed it more.

Princess: Unwed by saintchristopher777 2022-04-11T13:39:15Z

I think the core of what you're aiming for here is really interesting and quite fresh. However in practice it's all a bit confusing and overwhelming. I know it's tough with a strict gamejam timeline but I think some more gradual onboarding and tutorialising inside the game would make this a lot more playable.

The Ultimate Martian Roulette by HaaYaargh 2022-04-11T18:40:11Z

Really great game, one of the best of the comp I've played so far. Production all around is really well done.

I think my one main criticism is that there's not enough depth to the card mechanics. I think if the card choices offered slightly more complicate risk/reward mechanics there could be all sorts of interesting emergent strategies.

U.A.D.S - Untitled Asteroid Defence Simulator by Jacek_s0905 2022-04-11T13:32:03Z

Although this is enjoyable I think it could have been a bit more difficult, a bit more pressure to keep a few different plates spinning. This was just a bit too easy to solve and complete.

Jupiter Station - v0.5 by Kyra Sanchez 2022-04-06T21:30:27Z

The core game idea is interesting and there's definitely a lot of potential here. I think as it stands it needs a bit more "juice" to the interactions, so you get a sense of feedback. Also I think there's more that could be done with UI clarity.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Ten Sec Dread by davision 2022-10-11T15:38:34Z

Visuals are incredible, this is so well put together. Hugely impressive for a jam piece. I did find that it was fun at first but overtime becomes a bit repetitive without really getting much harder.

Tenjutsu by deepnight 2022-10-11T15:57:19Z

A top game from the comp for me so far, really clever use of theme to make a brawler much more tactical and intereting. Great graphics and polish. Would have wished for me music but a nitpick.

HAZCAT - Toxic Feline by johnnysix 2022-10-10T21:59:31Z

Really well made stuff, a ton of polish for a jam length game. I did find the character movement a little too slippy for my taste. Felt like I was fighting the controls, rather than getting into a flow with them sadly. However the overall package is really well made.

Time Loop Traffic by _for_science 2022-10-11T15:49:41Z

A simple idea executed really well, solid jam game.

Jeff's every 10 seconds by Atwooooooood 2022-10-10T22:34:13Z

Really loved this, very inventive and a lot of fun to work though. I'm not entirely sure the story works but that's a nitpick.

KAIROS, Battle for Seconds by Paul Giovannini 2022-10-13T13:56:39Z

This might be top game this year, there is just so much going on, so well made. I think my only minor complaint as others have mentioned is that the time scale is so compressed for many of the blessings and curses it's hard to play strategically around them and ultimatele you have to just embrace the chaos.

CONJR Rapid Text-to-Image by walaber 2022-10-10T22:49:31Z

This is absolutely brilliant. Such a fun and silly thing. The scaling controls are kind of annoying but not much of a problem.

Ten Till Doom by oozer 2022-10-10T22:38:06Z

Conceptually this is really awesome and visually it looks great, however mechanically it didn't seem like I was making super interesting choices. Mostly whatever I spammed seemed to always benefit me.

BORDERLINE by Perrin 2022-10-10T13:15:40Z

Hey everyone. I'm working on the post LD51 version of the game right now, but as a quick hot-fix I've uploaded a new build where the timer is 30 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Obviously this no longer fits with the theme of the Ludum Dare Jam but although switching every 10 seconds is a cool idea on paper, I think adventure games are a slower paced experienced and 10 seconds makes the game too stressful/annoying. I think 30 seconds should still give the player some pressure but also allow them time to read things properly without being rushed.

EPOCH by Wouter52 2022-10-10T22:56:40Z

Overall I enjoyed this. Loved the graphical style, and the puzzle solving gameplay. I kind of wish the puzzles were a little more interesting and there was more and an interesting escalation over time.

NN7 Guardian by Erlioniel 2022-10-10T14:28:39Z

Thought this was fantastic, short simple and sweet with a ton of mood. Felt like bite-sized Homeworld. One of those LD games i'd love to see developed more.

Please don't litter by KenForest 2022-10-11T16:32:54Z

Very cool experience, some great mood and a lovely sense of weirdness. The boss fight was a bit annoying but overall I think this comes together quite well.

Sleepcheckers by Ehon 2022-10-13T12:25:21Z

The look and vibe of the game is awesome, I also really enjoyed the pressured typing mechanic. I think 10 seconds might be too short for this to be fun though. There's a high level of frustration resetting everything if you make a mistake while trying ot figure out where the remaining items are hidden.

Hidden Moves by barce 2022-10-10T22:44:06Z

I really enjoyed this, it was good fun. My only real gripe is after you've done your first dance set the game doesn't really challenge you to do much beyond that. You just repeat until the end

HACK THE PLANET by jess from online 2022-10-11T14:59:43Z

Though this was absolutely dripping with style, and it's impressive how much text you've put together in such a short period of time. My biggest gripe would probably be the maths based puzzles aren't very fun and there are a lot of thme.

Void Timeline by HexStart 2022-10-11T16:14:00Z

Though this was a fantastic rogue like. I love both expanding array of optins as you get deeper but also the way that recongising the size of what the enemy is doing becomes part of the cat and mouse game. I hope you expand on this beyond the jam. Would love to see a more complete polished version of this.

GovdaJ by Viktor_Same 2022-10-11T14:52:24Z

Sadly the game crashed when an enemy touched me. There's some good style here, feel like it could do with a bit more "juice" to the combat feel.

Make Haste, Detective! by frogwizardhat 2022-10-11T15:12:58Z

One of my fav entries this year, a ton of fun with a lot of charm and great production. My only real complaint is the 10 second switch not matching with the dialogs from the suspects. I don't think the game sets you up very well to succeed because you either wait to hear our the previous suspect or switch to the new one. This means on the first run it's hard to make a logical deduction and just end up guessing.

LD53 — Delivery

Delivery Drift by Cambryx 2023-05-02T14:41:41Z

Very solid implementation, nice movement feel.

Space Haulers by ColinBellino 2023-05-04T10:31:01Z

Thought this was fantastic. Seems like you've taken a relatively simple gameplay loop and really nailed the eexecution with a ton of polish to make it very satisfying to play. Great work

Package Panik by Gerolmed 2023-05-04T18:33:31Z

Scope of this is really impressive for ludum dare. The tutorial was a bit overwhelming but I picked it up after one failed run. I did find it hard to understand why I died of unhappiness but this is still a really impressive entry.

The White Dude by A.Bond 2023-05-04T02:02:25Z

Interesting mechanic, would have loved to see a little more challenge

Beelivery by Jejkobb 2023-05-04T16:34:15Z

great game, fun mechanics, nice stoytelling.top work

Hexpress by RunicPixels 2023-05-04T12:16:38Z

Audio and visuals are fantastic, exploring the world is great and I love the variety of weapon mechanics. Only thing that lets the game down for me a bit is the combat isn't very interesting. However for a Ludum Dare project this a huge achivement.

Maily Melo by Blix 2023-05-04T10:14:48Z

One of my fav entries for this event so far. A very inventive exploration of the theme and I really enjoy the deductive aspect to the gameplay.

Dante's Delivery Service by Scott Steffes 2023-05-08T01:33:10Z

The is a hugely accomplished game for a weekend game jam. Awesome work

Impasta by Jozef 2023-05-14T23:01:48Z

This is one the bizarrest and cleverest games I've played from LD ever. Really interesting use of AI

Orbit Express by BmanStudio 2023-05-02T14:20:48Z

The graphics for the planets are really high quality

Package Deal by Ruud Cremers 2023-05-02T20:27:25Z

Great mechanics, really interesting game. Right now the balance doesn't seem quite right. Got quite a few runs that didn't seem winnable, and wish I had a few more options/decisions but there's the start of something awesome here.

Shattered Reflections by Perrin 2023-05-02T00:59:54Z

@gord10ahmet the solve button for the second riddle will open up if you explore a little and find a way forward

Shattered Reflections by Perrin 2023-05-02T01:00:37Z

@qusk2 yeah, the game doesn't stop you from cheating but hopefully people are playing to solve the mystery

Shattered Reflections by Perrin 2023-05-09T09:36:18Z

@blue-pin-studio You may have missed the tutorial prompt at the start of the game that lets you know there's a "Solve" button on the top right that lets you solve the mystery when you are ready.

Shattered Reflections by Perrin 2023-05-09T19:04:18Z

@blue-pin-studio Hmmm, maybe the game isn't to your tastes. The idea is that by looking at everything and reading what everyone has to say you can deduce what happened. A spoiler but the combination of the missing photo, footprints on the sofa, glass on the broom (along with some other dialogue hints) should help you realise a photo was broken. The whole game is built around you taking in all the information and fusing it together to get the answer. It's definitely not a mechanic that everyone is going to enjoy though.

The Box Baby by Revetoon 2023-05-04T13:00:46Z

I really enjoyed how inventive and surprising the game was throughout. The humour is a little juvenile for my tastes but the game is really well done.

Constellation Courier by Diego Teran 2023-05-03T17:19:03Z

Very charming game, I like the web of relationships that slowly unfold as you deliver more and more letters

A Bag by Zhiteng Chen 2023-05-02T12:53:28Z

This ain't it

🌴 Fantino Island 🌴People delivery service by Scratch 2023-05-03T12:11:10Z

This is really great, while at it's core the gameplay is fairly simple I think the implementation is wonderful. The split screen interface and progress is a great and the artwork is lovely.

The Skeleton Delivery Experience by Exilon 2023-05-04T18:50:51Z

Enjoyed this. Controls are not quite as tight as some of the other foddian type games but there's a lot of fun to be had here still.

Machine Meltdown by Stefan Funke 2023-05-02T14:36:51Z

A nice little Titan Souls-like

Unread Messages by shimmerscale 2023-05-04T18:42:40Z

This was fantastic, really enjoyed this. The mechanics were interesting enough to make me really think about my options. Would love to see a bit more of this.

Croc Crate Consignment by aschab 2023-05-03T17:23:19Z

I think the ghosts are a bit too accurate at tracking with you to make an interesting obstacle

13Hour Shift - Idle Game by ScriptMage 2023-05-05T16:39:48Z

Although it's fair standard stuff for an idle game the hook is still as addictive as ever so great work

Glimpse of the Future by AigleSan 2023-05-02T12:54:58Z

Sadly fell through the floor

DETOUR by Nozomu57 2023-05-02T20:33:50Z

I thought this was fantastic I wasn't convinced at the start that you could find enough interesting variations of this mechanic but I was very glad to be proved wrong as i worked through the levels.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Microdominion by LeReveur 2024-10-11T22:50:23Z

This is a super interesting idea, I think there's some mileage here but in it's current form it's really hard to really understand what choices I'm making and what affect they're having. However as I say it's a very cool project with a lot of potential.

FrogScape by Jiri_One 2024-10-11T18:26:54Z

I like the turn based puzzles mechanics, combining differnt creatures abilities to reach keys. However it being mandatory to move each of them when I only needed to move the frog became a bit of a chore. Also enemy AI seemed a little lacking in aggression. Good stuff though.

The Plaguers by strong99 2024-10-10T13:09:37Z

The multiple layer is a nice idea but in practice it makes the gasme nearly impossible to parse and make smart choices.

Silk & Snare by MartensCedric 2024-10-11T18:44:48Z

I enjoyed the web building mechanics but it played a little janky for me. When I died I wasn't even sure what I'd done wrong.

Mouse House by johnnysix 2024-10-12T11:57:06Z

Loved the visuals, especially the death screen, great atmosphere. The actual platforming wasn't super fun but I think this is still really solid jam game.

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-12T11:50:05Z

Looks great, and it's nice "plate spinner" trying to keep my brain switching between mosue and keyboard attacks. Just wish there was a little more mechanical complexity to the choices I was making.

Battle for the Pages by Andreas Roschal 2024-10-11T23:24:31Z

This is a really nicely executed autobattler. Feels like's a lot of ground to really explore here, that isn't just mimicking SAP. Awesome work for a weekend jam.

Like A Moth To A Podiatrist by Verbante 2024-10-12T11:53:44Z

This is really great, although it's a simple mechanic it's one I've not tried before. At first I was a bit frustrated there wasn't like "optimal" ways to win each lvel as you seem guaranteed to lose a few but by the end I was embreacing the chaos. Feels like a game that could be developed more with more puzzle mechanics.

Fear of the Ungnome by Scott Steffes 2024-10-11T23:09:22Z

I consider myself good at adventure games and escape rooms but I cannot solve this game. I know it's about differences but I'm just not making the logical leap I need to make here. That said this game looks incredible, you've absolutely nailed the visual style.

Snail away by Thomas_Bringer 2024-10-11T20:39:21Z

This felt like a really enjoyable proof of concept, very well polished, looked great. My only criticism was I was hoping you'd maybe find more interesting puzzle mechanics to explore with the idea by the end.

Meatheads by bigwhiteshogun 2024-10-12T12:01:24Z

Beautiful game, feels like this is the start of something really cool you didn't quite manage to fit in the LD timeline. As it stands it's bit overwhelming to get into without really enough hand holding to get me into how to play it properly. I started to get it a bit after staring at the pause screen. Hope you folks keep working on it.

Twilight of the Forest by Perrin 2024-10-10T12:30:06Z

Thanks for all the feedback folks. Based on some of the comments I made few small changes to build, adding a few extra bits of text/explanation during combat to hopefully make it easier to understand. A proper tutorial would be the ideal way to go but I'm not looking to dig that deep into the code at the moment to make that happen. Hopefully the changes I've done will help people along enough to figure it out themselves. I also fixed the bug that haste stayed on forever.

With regards to people finding there's too much dialogue, that's a bit of a marketing fail on my part. Really this game was meant to be a story that's supported by some light combat encounters, but I think from screenshots it looks more like it's a combat RPG. So if you're here for mechanics I'm not surprised you'd get frustrated by long sections of text. That's a difficult one to solve because normally when I make adventure games it's obvious who they're for from the screenshots. However I do agree with more time and polish I could make the dialogue sections more engaging. Though not likely for this jam game.

Anyway thanks again for playing and leaving your feedback.

Decay and Rebirth by MeowMeowLitClub 2024-10-11T22:35:19Z

As a lot of said this looks great but is a little confusing to play at the moment. I think I was making progress but gameplay felt a little clumsy. With more polish this could be something really cool

Chumini: Tiny Army by Guilloteam 2024-10-11T18:37:26Z

This is beautifully polished. Especially for an LD game. Enjoyed playing it but my main gripe is that the choice for upgrade isn't as interesting/agonising as other games in this style. Felt like I just wanted more of everything in this, rather than choosing my build.

Survival of the Shadowlings by Jhonny111 2024-10-11T22:55:34Z

This a nice lemming-remake, enjoyed the puzzles. Will be honest I didn't love the graphical style.

Wink and the Fae by Pious 2024-10-12T00:06:01Z

Simple, but really nicely done with great art.

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-12T13:21:31Z

Nice fun chill game, kind of wish there a little more challenge to it though.

NebuLeet Troopers by quasilyte 2024-10-11T20:30:04Z

Enjoyed this a lot. Though I will say I think I completed it without really mastering the mechanics. I never found a compelling reason not to just clump all my units into one big death ball, and a reasonable mix of units and sesnible cards seemed to win most fights. Only time I had to change up my tactics was the map with a ton of infantry which I found easiest to win with a counter group of tons of infantry. Really enjoyed it a lot though, great work for the jam.

Frame Wizards 2 by AlezJL 2024-10-10T13:01:04Z

I think I got stuck here, couldn't get anything to work beyond the tutorial.

Tamago Sweeper by Absolute Garbage 2024-10-11T01:40:16Z

Neat mechanic well executed, very solid jam game!

Bug Out by smurpy02 2024-10-11T20:14:37Z

There's some cool potential here but as youv'e noted yourself it doesn't seem finished.

Tiny H.O.C.'s Pro Creator by ltostes 2024-10-11T18:42:18Z

Nice little pet sim. It was a bit confusing for a while but I did eventually pick up what was going on. Great work.

Quackling Rescue by Laywelin 2024-10-11T22:42:08Z

A fun little Pikmin like, good work for the jam. My one criticism is I kind of hoped there'd be some puzzle or challenge to explore the mechanics a little deeper.

Candyween by Megurt 2024-10-11T14:49:25Z

Visuals look great, and a really nice audio and vibe to the whole thing. The idea was super interesting but sadly it wasn't as fun to navigate the kittens around as i had hoped, felt more a nuisance than anything.

The Great Dangling by magopian 2024-10-11T22:58:53Z

Enjoyed this a lot. It was as advertised very silly and we don't get enough of that. No notes.

Happy Birthday Logan by imberny 2024-10-11T23:15:46Z

Really nice piece of work, dont see a lot of stuff like this in Ludum Dare. Great work. The guitar thing is a bit weird, seems out of place but very cool you did it.

Beyond Fear by Arsmih24 2024-10-12T00:12:12Z

The visual design and mood of this game is absolutely stunning. Sadly didn't enjoy the platforming/stealth but this was still a great LD jam game.

Particle Wars by NickHellquist 2024-10-11T18:20:38Z

Solid Vampire Survivor gamepplay, compelling to play for a while. Would have loved to see more interesting ideas explored with the visuals as it was bit bland but I enjoyed my playthrough.

One day by BOHNE 2024-10-10T13:03:50Z

Sorry wasn't really fan of this.

LD57 — Depths

Captain Peggles: That Man's Chest by Sheepolution 2025-04-16T12:12:48Z

Absolutely genius idea really well executed. Was both super fun making my own map and deciphering those from other players. Also super well polished implementation of the idea. Great work.

BTW: Beneath the Waves by Aurel300 2025-04-18T15:14:47Z

Fantastic stuff, was a little disappointed it ended so soon. Was hoping for more missions to explore the mechanics. You achieved a hell of a lot in a short time with this. Super well polished.

Oakhaven by bentglasstube 2025-04-15T11:00:01Z

Like the concept a lot, solving puzzles that changes the world around you is a great mechanic to explore. Walking speed really pushes back against the game a lot, spend more time walking back and forth than doing the puzzle solving part fo the game sadly.

Abyss Vaulter by sinclairstrange 2025-04-18T19:02:24Z

Crazy polished for a weekedn game jam, it's insane how much work you delivered in such a short period of time.

The Void by Iluvatar 2025-04-19T12:44:27Z

Really enjoyed this. Love point and click adventures, especially sci-fi horror with a bit of cosmic lovecraft thrown in there too. Fantastic work.

AdventureGen by loveapplegames 2025-04-16T09:41:59Z

It's an interesting tech demo but it doesn't make games anyone would enjoy playing. It also didn't really follow my prompts for game setting or visual style. I'm following everyone's attempts to merge AI into games as closely as I can looking for some real killer ideas that make games more exciting/intereting but I dunno this doesn't feel like it.

AdventureGen by loveapplegames 2025-04-16T16:26:19Z

@loveapplegames yeah I wanted to see how it reacted to a more controversial prompt, it didn't react it just fed the word back to me. and then literally nothing in the game resembled 90s anime, all the images looked the exact same as your example images. Just flowery environments. If the answer to "you can type anything and it builds a game" is "Oh well as long as you type the right thing" then the tech isn't working. Also regardless of my prompts the game wasn't fun, was barely a game. I do think there's potential to finding interesting ways to using this new AI tech in games, but this feels like a miss. I don't fault you for exploring the tech but judging it as a game, well it's not really much of one.

The Chase Beneath by Alvaron 2025-04-15T11:05:31Z

I think as others have said the atmosphere is good, sadly I didn't actually enjoy playing it. Walking down the long corridors gradually became more tedious than scary.

Tidehold by outstar 2025-04-18T17:21:00Z

Beautifully polished and great vibes. I didn't super connect with the core puzzle, I found it a bit more frustrating than engaging balancing the numbers but I think maybe I'm not the right player for this game.

Marianas Miner by Coda Highland 2025-04-16T09:04:44Z

The core loop here is fun and kept me playing, I think with more polish this could have been really great. It's a shame the drilling itself doesn't have more satisfying "juice" to it like some particle effects. Good game though.

Shleep by Rongo Matane 2025-04-18T17:14:46Z

Really beautiful game, super fun and creatve with a really stunning visual style. Nice work.

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-16T09:21:27Z

Simple idea really well executed. Graphics in particular are absolutely stunning. Awesome work.

Hollowspire by simex 2025-04-18T01:13:41Z

This was really beautifully done, great art style and a really compelling loop that keep you wanting to hang around for the next thing to upgrade or craft. awesome work

Pack by Jeremy Ryan 2025-04-18T16:21:24Z

Wonderful entry, super satisfying and enough variety for each level to feel interesting on their own. Absolutely nailed it.

What Lurks Below by dxk2294 2025-04-19T12:27:56Z

Really enjoyed this played it through to the end. There's a bit in the middle where it drags a little when getting new population is super expensive but once it accelerates again it really picks up towarsd the end. The looks and polish of it all was great too.

Hell R Us by CaptainDreamcast 2025-04-15T11:26:25Z

The game has a ton of charm, really enjoyed the silly voice acting. Sadly the combat mechanic wasn't great, just mashed attack and won. Very cool to see a dreamcast port too.

Sinking of you by Re-Markable 2025-04-16T12:02:08Z

This was really great, fun mechanics and a lot of heart. My only criticism would be I think the below sink visuals don't match the charm of those above the sink.

2.5 Depth by Jeffez 2025-04-15T11:39:15Z

There's a great bug where you can lift carts upwards that allows you to climb anywhere you want and skip the final few puzzles. I think there's a classic indie tradition of making puzzles platformers where you switch between dimensions going back to the newgrounds days. I have to say there's a ton fo charm in switching between final game assets and the in-development process. I think I'd love to see that explored more. Though the actual puzzles in this this aren't the best there's some cool potential. I also wish you'd managed to do some kind of walk cycle to make the whole game feel less stuff.

Drilly's Journey by Alex Davies 2025-04-17T15:53:36Z

This is really nice, loved that your ability becomes a hindrance as much as a benefit and so the puzzles become around not trigger your ability when you don't want it to go off. Super interesting.

Deep Space Photography by Verbante 2025-04-16T18:25:42Z

Really creative idea and the presentation is fantastic. I did found the more I played I felt like I was getting more frustrated rather than feeling like I was slowly mastering it which is a bit of a shame but overall this is really well made.

Depth of Mind by FunBanan 2025-04-18T14:56:40Z

Enjoyed this, simple but fun take on the roguelike combat trend. Nice art style too.

Well Gnome! by Delunado 2025-04-18T14:20:16Z

Fantastic game,, I feel like it really comes into its own once the true level of chaos sets in once you've build the trampolines. Once youre spending more time fishing gnomes out of your blocked money cauldron you know you're having fun.

Into the Depths by CataclysmicKnight 2025-04-25T12:33:45Z

Hey I know judging is nearly over but I finally grabbed a deck of cards and had a play through of this. I sadly didn't play it through to the end due to the long play time, especially for a solo board game so I read through the rest of the book. This is great work overall with lots of interesting ideas and I love the way the mechanics evolve.

The big blockes for me is setup vs play time seems really off, it takes so long to randomise my deck thoroughly each day and lay out the board and then I can dig through it so fast I feel like I'm spending more time doing admin than playing the game. A week is also a very long time in this game, setting up the board 7 times feels like quite a lot of work. Especially because the way you collect cards together you're undoing the randomness on each day so I really have to thoroughly shuffle to get a good board each day.

I think week 1 in particular isn't exciting enough considering how many interesting twists and turns you start to lay on after that. I understand that's about pacing but it's a lot of manual work to ask of a prologue.

However despite that criticism I think this game does really cool and interesting stuff. I hope you develop it more and perhaps find some ways to adjust the playtime vs admin.

Red Finger by KenForest 2025-04-18T19:00:54Z

The cool and feel of this game is great and the tension descending the lift is nice. I kind of wish there was a little more payoff but it's great stuff.

Burrilka by echerry 2025-04-18T00:48:58Z

Such a fantastic game, great vibes and such a compelling loop of just adding more plate to spin bit by bit

Deep Hour by Cammin 2025-04-16T01:00:59Z

Really stunning visuals, super well polished especiaslly for a weekend jam game. I did eventually get a bit bored of the capture mechanic but I think if this was developed further I imagine you could develop a lot of extra interesting layers to it.

God Veins by dagon 2025-04-19T12:36:00Z

Wonderfully bleak mood and it really executes a lot with very little. I will say you seem to lose people and get locked out perhaps too easily. Having someone demand a $500 bible when I have nothing like that kind of income is tough to get past without just giving up.

Into The Deep by clymm 2025-04-16T09:17:13Z

Quite an impressive amount of complexity to the game here for a game jam. I do think the difficulty ramps up way too fast for you to ease-in and get hooked on the core mechanics. Also it was a bit confusing realising I should be crafting and using items to make even a minor amount of progress, resources seem to drain so fast. There's definitely something cool to the idea, but right now it's a bit of a sensort overload before you've barely moved at all.

Dig and Delve by RobLaro 2025-04-17T17:36:30Z

This is great, i played this for like an hour. Super compelling loop executed well. hope you expand it with more content and "depth"

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-18T16:01:02Z

Really enjoyable idle game, nice art style and general mood and vibe. Only real criticism is that it starts repeating a bit too soon, felt like the game had run out of stuff to show me which was a shame. However you achieved a lot for a short jam.

The Stochastic Abyss by Ezard94 2025-04-16T00:53:35Z

Yeah I was a bit confused if I was doing anything or if the game was just playing itself out. Seems like there could be something interesting here but it probably needs some more iteration.

Glimmer in the Deep by ScrivenerOfLight 2025-04-15T11:46:35Z

Got the end, enjoyed this and felt like it was the start if something that could be really cool. The lack of any music was a real shame as it would have helped so much. I also think a little more signposting to differentiate different areas of the cave would have helped the exploration.

The Final Descent by SHAKIROVICH 2025-04-18T19:01:35Z

The visual style and polish of this game is fantastic. I didn't super love playing it but I'm not big on shooters. However it's still really impressive work.

Lone Digger by The Spinning Sofa 2025-04-16T18:35:18Z

Fun core gameloop, compelling enough to keep me going through to the end and super well presented. I think perhaps the upgrade loop is both a bit too easy to complete and doesn't feel meaningful enough. However I think for a jam game it's super well made.

Ruby Hole by Aleksey4adoff 2025-04-16T09:56:01Z

Asbolutely loved this. Never seen such an interesting twist on the Carcasonne mechanics. Feel like this could definitely expanded out into something bigger.

House Rules by engoneer 2025-04-15T12:11:18Z

Enjoyed the eery visual style and overall mood of the game. Definitely reminds me a bit of Inscryption and maybe some Queen's Blood. I don't thin kthe card game itself is super compelling right now but there's the seed of something very cool here.

Claw of the Mantis by Shadow Veil Society 2025-04-15T12:03:48Z

I didn't love the controls but you get used to them overtime. My main issue was the challenge of this game seems weirdly inverted. Combat sections are very easy since everything just bee-lines towards you I could just get some distance everything would line up in my firing line. Then once it was done I had to struggle pick up all the debris before the time ran out. The real challenge of the game is not fighting the ships but collecting their husks before the next wave spawns. Eventually I realised I could leave one enemy alive to give myself a ton more time to collect them.

Eraser by mars88 2025-04-16T08:58:46Z

The visual style and overall presentation here is fantastic, a ton of style and personality infused into it. One thing I'm less keen on is the core story, it feels like fairly standard cliche stuff and it's a bit of a shame that it lacks the style of the rest of the game.

Froggy Towers by LordSheo 2025-04-16T09:10:47Z

Really nice visuals, but sadly not the most fun survivors-like. I'm not convinced by the build selections being visual only, takes away the interesting deciion making when you're just guessing.

HellDigger – A Cozy Idle Game by sangheli 2025-04-17T15:43:17Z

I do like a good idle game but I was a bit disappointed I didn't feel like I had many or almost any choices to make.

North Depths by voidsrc 2025-04-18T16:41:38Z

As others have said it's a shame the early progression is so glacial, because this seems really well done. It's just hard to sit and play it, have to keep leavingi it on in the background.

Depths of the Void by EZduzzit 2025-04-15T10:53:46Z

I love a good space strategy game, it reminds me a little of the Battlestar Galactic game. I ran into the issue of the UI breaking on my 4k screen but got it working once I used a 1080p screen. I think right now there's not quite enough interesting decision making from turn to turn, it feels like the basis for a good game but not quite there yet.

@guardaro Nice seeing it running on a handheld like that. I considerd if I was going to tutorialise the deployment stuff, maybe I should make it a bit more obvious. The blue marker are supposed to indicate the direction and distance you need to be searching.

Build Artifacts by Perrin 2026-04-22T16:34:14Z

@liam So there's few differnet PS1 SDK setups. I'm using psyq+nugget which is Sony's old libraries converted to support modern C compilers. There's psn00bsdk which is an open source clone of those libraries. And I know the PSX homebrew community now recommends psyqo which an new C++ SDK. But C++ is not to my tastes and psyqo requires you to build a lot more for yourself. I just have it all setup in VSCode so it builds and launches an emualtor.

Build Artifacts by Perrin 2026-04-22T16:36:01Z

@guardaro Glad you went back to the game and enjoyed it. I think you're right I'm going to improve the visibility of the blue indicators on the drones. There is one final hidden message you need to find in the game marked as XXX to indicate you're fully done, but you have to really pay attention to figure out how to find it.
