Overall a great little experience, and atmosphere is very scary. I would have liked a bit more to do. But overall a good compo game. Well done.

This was a great horror experience. Really kept me engaged throughout with the eerie audio and the atmosphere felt incredible. I would love to see more, this was really good!
This game is very atmospheric. The visuals and the sound effects are really selling the experience. There is some times where you feel you are stuck or miss something but the game gets going (no sure if the events are time based or depends on what you are looking or where you are)
Overall I really liked it a lot.
Straight up mood 5*!
First of all, I insta-downloaded the game just for the visuals. I **ADORE** PS1 graphics, and it just evokes so much emotions for me. I truly felt like playing these good old games on my old PS1.
The gameplay itself is strange to me, because I couldn't figure out what to do exactly, so I was just walking around, looking around, listening to the environments. However, as "dull" as the gameplay was, I truly felt amazing just standing in that world. I don't know why, it was so compelling to just be there.
I usually don't read much description for games to avoid spoilers, so I went fully blind. Honestly, I expected something more like a "haha, we make fun of terrible mass transport system", so it's gonna be a funny game about waiting for a train. Then I saw some kind of shadow, and I expected it to be just a flickering on the screen created by the old graphics rendering. But after a couple of minutes I saw it again, on the other side of the track, and I was like "God damn, that's for real!" So I was genuinely surprised by that.
To wrap things up, I truly enjoyed your game. A LOT. I didn't do much, but a mere presence in this world gave me a lot of entertainment for thanks to its atmosphere alone.
Sadly, an experience, can hardly call it a game.
But it's a great experience. First time I've played a PS1-stylized game and now I know why it's used so much for horror games.
My only issue with this project is that there's nothing stopping player from immersing themselves into it for long enough; some could leave before anything interesting happens.
Man the atmosphere and graphics are so nice, I feel like this is a great start for a bigger game. It is more of an experience than real gameplay but the atmosphere is great and I enjoyed it either way.
I loved the mood, the graphcs and the audio. Being stuck while waiting for the train was an interesting concept.
I'm not sure about the pacing though. I don't know what triggers the events so maybe I was just unlucky, but since there is not much to do, sometimes I felt a bit bored as I was just waiting for the next scary thing to happen.
Wow! I absolutely loved this! The atmosphere build with the sound effects was fantastic--A lot of skill went into that, especially near the end game with the ticket machine. Very nice indeed!
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere.
I wish I could leave a rating at the moment, as the presentation as always is perfect. Amazing sound design, and the PSX style with PBR materials are a welcome addition.
I do wish there was a little more activity involved in the gameplay, but as far as setting the scene goes this was masterful.
I really liked it! Gave me the heebie-jeebies.
You've nailed the psx graphics, the horror thriller atmosphere is as if jumped from silent hill scene & even better imo considering how you used lightning. And 3 goddamn train stopped on the other side but none in our direction what an unlucky night haha, wonderful game glad I've bookmarked it would be shame if I missed
@anchorlight Wanted to do more with the gameplay but ended up spending too much time on the visuals and ran out of time again :( - happy with how it turned out overall though. Looking forward to see what you end up submitting for the extra category :)
@everythingisbacon @randyrude @cheese-team @mlkvr Thanks all for the kind words, really means a lot :)
Really nead atmosphere, the game looks really good. But I didn't know what to do. I admit that I was affraid at every sound and weird shapes. You could have done some kind of jump scare at the end to close it.
Really unsettling experience, nice entry!
i love it! the atmosphere, the sounds and the graphic !
Fantastic game! ****SPOILER(ish) BELOW****
I audibly screamed! I actually feel a bit raspy in my throat now, thanks! Seriously I loved the experience and it reminded me of the same feelings I got when playing Penumbra. You built up the atmosphere very well and I thoroughly enjoyed it and like so often with Ludum Dare, I wish you were given more time so we could have an 8 hour game of this, although I'm not sure I could handle that much screaming.
I cracked up when I realised this was set in a metty station. Newcastle is ripe for horror ambience. Tell Carlo I said hi.
That was a very unnerving experience. A few minutes in I remembered the theme and I was like damnnnn I'm f***ed. Graphics and ambience absolutely stunning. Excellent work. Not quite as scary as my subway game though (kidding hahaha).
While the overal mood and audio visual look great, from gameplay point of view: I bought a ticket. waited. waited. another train passed by. My train was delayed. I walk around, sometimes hear some weird noise, than somone knocked down the mop. I wait. I wait more. I run around. I die.
I liked the graphics a lot, it has a great mood, but I feel the gameplay was really lacking. Nice job though!
While it isn't there much in terms of actual game, the eerie atmosphere, spooky sound design and clever lightning really make this game one of the most beautiful and immersive games I've played on this jam. Good job!
Im humbled by the graphics, the art design, and the atmosphere. This would be impressive for a jam game, I'm blown away that it was compo. The lens smear was a subtle but effective detail!
I adore PSX style games, and this one fits the theme perfectly!
It is a very well-made horror game. The setting is pretty interesting. The graphics are really good. I like it!
YOOOOO its spooky loved it the atmosphere and sound cues were great! the lighting was dim enough to make the wet floor sign look like legs as you're approaching it every damn time and the first time you see it? \*chef's kiss\* with the sequence length.
###### But how will I get to where I need to go now? I got a letter from my wife, you see...
I like trains, I like the atmosphere, and I like the PS1 retro graphics. But it was a bit boring
That was a great experience. It felt like I was a in a theater and suddenly actors started interacted with me. And that's a horror, haha. Really great work on visuals and sounds -- making the game so immersive!
The pauses between events were a bit too big for my liking making it a little boring at times. The inability to do much apart from walking back and forth along the station didn't help it. The ending was thrilling and just right though! For a compo that's still is such an impressive job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
This game had really interesting atmosphere, but I found the pacing a little slow. It was very tense for the first few minutes, but after I wandered the platform for a bit I started to get used to the surroundings and got the sense that nothing actually bad was going to happen for me, so it just became a waiting game. I'm torn on whether I think more should have happened, because I really appreciated this game's subtlety, but I walked away from it feeling like I missed something important. Maybe more could have been done to direct the player's attention? The ending felt like it came out of nowhere for me because I only saw the creature once on the opposite platform near the middle of the game, but I get the sense that the creature was intended to appear more often and I just wasn't looking at the right place at the right time to see it.
Great, spooky game! Great on the theme! I did manage to bug it somehow on my first playthrough where nothing started after getting the ticket, but I have no idea how.
As someone who has had the displeasure of getting off at Park Lane Metro station I have to say I've seen a lot worse, in Nexus we trust. Seriously though, great job!
Hi guys! Any horror fans here? I used to not like to play horror games, I was creepy. But now I love everything. What can you do, everything changes. And, by the way, I began to be interested in online casinos, although once upon a time I thought that this was for frivolous people. So, now I visit this source [https://darmowe-spiny.net/darmowa-kasa-bez-depozytu/100-zl-bez-depozytu-za-rejestracje/](https://darmowe-spiny.net/darmowa-kasa-bez-depozytu/100-zl-bez-depozytu-za-rejestracje/) I have always been interested in learning about no deposit promotions. It was thanks to this site that I was able to figure it out. Now I know if the free cash bonuses are worth using and what are the rules for the €25 no deposit bonus. In general, the information here is more than exhaustive. And the good news is that additional funds are always great news for any player.
