Wow these Pico-8 games are very cool! Really great entry, everything is very solid. I couldn't manage to beat the snowball!

Wow these Pico-8 games are very cool! Really great entry, everything is very solid. I couldn't manage to beat the snowball!
The sound effects are perfect and really fit the game, the controls are nice, and work great. Overall the game just has a lot of really nice polish!
Very cool game with a really good mood to it, played through twice to get both "Endings", and really enjoyed it, a sprint button could've been nice, but I know it's a Jam game
Pretty fun, it gets really intense after a little bit, I liked the grim reaper model
Like the art a lot, audio would've been great and added to the mood even more .I can't imagine using CSS to do the graphics, props to you for doing that haha. Overall it's really great, wish the generation was larger, but that's such a small thing tbh.
Love the graphics, the gameplay is fun, but gets old rather fast.... Very good for the time limit though, kudos!
I think the biggest struggle is knowing where to go or what to do. I like the graphics, the combat could be pretty fun with polish, but I just didn't really know what to do, and got lost. I'm interested to see what a full version could look like.
I liked the graphics a lot, it has a great mood, but I feel the gameplay was really lacking. Nice job though!
I only managed to survive around 60yrs! it's a pretty fun game, I had a lot of information overload at first, but once I started to get into it I enjoyed it a lot. I think it would've been nice if destroying a building gave you back some materials, I ran out of one material after a while, and had no way to get more.
Really Great Art, the gameplay was pretty fun, but got a little old pretty quickly. I also really enjoyed the music.
So good, loved basically everything. I like that the player can move really fast, and I was surprised by the amount of content!
Really like the combat, It has a great feel to it, the enemies are fun(They don't fight back enough though), and I love the art.
Great mood to the game, really has a lonely feel to it, the art is really cute, and I liked the sound effects(Wish there was some ambient noise though). Awesome entry!
I like the music, the game idea is interesting but could use some polish. Good job finishing in such a short amount of time!
Really great art, the mechanic was interesting, the only thing that was annoying, was the platforming can feel rather clunky at times.
The music is very chill! I wish I could aim with the mouse, but it's still pretty fun, and reminds me of star fox!
Very interesting, I thought it was pretty fun, the monster designs were cool, and I liked the art a lot! Will for sure play again to get a better score
I can't imagine making a vr game in 24hrs! Really awesome job! It was fun!
Really cool spin on Tetris! I loved how you could save block as they're about to fall in the void!
So fun, amazing graphics, great music, it's the whole package! Amazing work!
Epic music, the platforming is pretty nice(I wish there was a ledge mount of sorts though), and the art is great. It was a welcome surprise to realize the game is endless, that's a really nice touch.
I died of cancer at around 70 hahah. Really well thought out, and it has some great art! Nice job
Really great audio, mood, and graphics, unfortunately, the camera feels like something from a ps1 game, In the worst way possible, I really like the game as a base, but it needs improvement, I would check it out if you add to it later!
Really crazy this was made in such a short time, nice job with the crafting and mining, I was unable to progress through the whole crafting tree, I'm interested to see what would happen
@plixel Thanks a ton for trying it! I agree the controls are a little wonky...
@david-york haha thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@frizuo Thanks! Wario ware was a big inspiration! I'm actually not sure which mini game you're talking about since the order is randomized. I really wish I would've had to time to polish, and make better music.
@frizuo oh yeah, that's for sure one of the weakest mini games. Thanks again!
@darandin I'm glad you enjoyed it! The controls could for sure could use some work, I thought about adding controls for each mini game, but as I watched others play, watching them figuring out the controls was part of the fun.
@yulotomorrow Thank you, I was kind of going for cute! I'm actually not the biggest fan of my art, but I'm glad you thought it was okay! Death doing nothing during the arm wrestling is just me not having enough time to put in some visual feedback, repeatedly clicking is how you beat him...
@tristian-tee Thank you! I agree, it's lacking a bit of polish, I unfortunately was busy during part of the time limit, so not as much time for polish!
@emberushi gotta love cats
@glayson Huh that sounds really inconvenient having to log in, I was trying to get the web build working on itch, but It was being a pain. The audio shouldn't be too loud, I'm really not sure why it would be. Thanks for playing it, even with the inconveniences!
@algebruh haha I'm glad you enjoyed it thanks for playing!
@glayson oh, thank you so much for passing on the wisdom hahaha. I'll 100% try that when I have time
@papaya @phoenixofforce @karin-g
Thank you all for trying the game! Vague hints for the controls was initially design, I had watched a friend play it, and his trying to figure out the controls was part of the fun. Maybe it was bad design though idk haha
@glaikunt Thanks! Gotta give credit where credit is due ;)!
@markymark
Thanks for playing!
@lighty-the-light Sorry to hear about the bg music, I'll check out getting a better web build later today!
@gdesecrate Thanks for playing! I liked Buhanochka Z!
@jimbly Thanks for playing, sorry to hear about your injury! I was short on time and wasn't able to add a pixel font, unfortunately.
As for having the game go full screen, in Embed options I just switched it to "Click to launch in fullscreen"
@cyzaine I'm glad you realized what I was going for, and were able to enjoy it! The idea popped into my head to make them get harder, but it was too late in development, and I didn't want to over scope. I'm excited to see how I improved next year!
@clemall happy you enjoyed it. That was the goal, so I'm happy I succeeded!
@uraffululz Thanks for playing! Unfortunately, the cat mini-game is broken on mobile :(. I plan on fixing it once the rating period is over, I mainly left it up for ease of having family and friends try the game.
Thanks @nyxkn ! Happy to see you like it!
Thank you both! @roccay @sketchygalore
0/5 no amogus mode.
Jk haha the art is great, the color palette really pulls it all together, I enjoyed the spinning parts as I they were challenging and took me a couple times to get. Also really nice variation of enemies, they all feel pretty unique. The only thing I would've liked is to be able to go fullscreen. .
Wow, insane, I can't imagine making this in the time limit, It's really fun, the art is great, And I loved the overworld design, kudos!
Pretty good, lots of polish, and I really love the art style, only wish enemies came in waves
Very fun! I got a little bored after a while, don't get me wrong though, It's a great gameplay loop. I think if there where more enemies and less upgrades I would have been a lot more engaged. Those are just my critiques though, great entry!
Wish there were more levels, or a randomization for the level, I totally get what you were saying about running out of time though. Same thing happened to me haha. The graphics were probably my favorite part :) very cute!
One of the better uses of the theme I've played. Fun, funny and engaging. I really loved seeing all the dumb stuff I had drawn at the end there.
I think it could be really fun if It was made into a full game. I couldn't tell if the vines were able to destroy my fire? If they can, I think they should move faster, It would give me a reason to use the spinning swords. and also some sort of enemies that try to put out your fire could be cool.
Just my critiques! It's a cool concept, and I like the character design!
Very cute! Collision could use some work, but I wouldn't say it ruined it for me.
Very cool, I like the music a good bit. At times I felt like I wasn't really doing much and was just waiting, but besides that I liked it. Cool points system too!
Really great for compo! I love the idea and I think it was executed pretty well. I do wish the enemies died faster once they're actually dead. It would help when there's a big group of enemies!
@harrison-gowland Thanks! I agree about the spawn rates, I got in over my head and wasn't able to flesh out stuff. Glad you enjoyed it!
@mcnuttys I'm happy you enjoyed it :)! Sorry to hear about the bugs, those should just be web version bugs, I didn't have time to fix them.
@serxiolas Thanks for the feedback!
@helen Sorry about the music being too loud! I'm glad you enjoyed it beyond that :)!
@googlypoo I'm happy you enjoyed the humor!
@realryanrogers Glad you were able to adapt to the movement, thanks for playing!
@sarah-alexa I've had a couple people mention the mouse bug, It must be a frame rate issue, do you know if it's allowed to fix bugs before judging is over? I'm glad that didn't stop you from enjoying it though! I'll be sure to think about adding donuts if I work more on it :P
@akkara Anything is possible with no sleep, some Chex mix, and a couple energy drinks! Thanks for playing!
@fenrei I'm considering adding more! I have another project I'm working on though, so It may be a while. Happy you liked it!
@decadedecaf I'm happy you liked my 30 minute attempt at music haha. There's actually a sensitivity slider in the pause menu ;). A reticle could be a good idea.
@desertmaw If I work more on it I'll be sure to add a slider to lower the arms :D. And yes... you better return your shopping carts... cause if you don't..... you never know what could happen...
@hawkin Glad you liked the concept :)! Thanks for the feedback on the movement too!
@sarah-alexa Thanks for responding! I usually check the rules first, but they're not always clear haha.
This is really great, played the whole thing and loved the art! The platforming was very fun, pretty hard, but good for the most part!
Very interesting, kind of reminds me of a game I made for the last ludum dare I entered. Is it possible to change bullets? I was picking up different types of what I assume to be bullets but I couldn't use them. The art is fun, and the movement, while it is a bit janky, is also fun. I think it could be cool with some polish!
I think it has potential. I like the direction of the art style(maybe change the lighting?), the plate mechanic is cool, but not super obvious at first. I would make the whole thing faster cause it moves kind of slow at first. Nice job! I know my feedback is very critical, but I hope it's constructive as well.
It's a fun idea that goes on a little too long. I got tired of it within a couple levels. The theme is also a little vague, but I can kinda see it. Defiantly am not hating just trying to leave some constructive feedback. I thought the voice lines/sfx were very funny!
So sick! If you don't mind me asking how does the whole "texture loading" mechanic work in code? This is one of the games I think I've had the most fun with. I like how we both had the idea of a computer running out of space, and yet went completely different directions with actually implementing it.
@yorsh That's awesome dude! I forgot that the source code is public lol.
Pretty fun and funny. I liked the voice acting, did you guys do any of it? The polish is impressive for 72 hours. I do wish that the map was a little more complex, though, that may be going against the nostalgic rts vibes haha.
Love it. The humor is on point, lots of fun ideas and references(When do we get the comic spinoff where we learn the full story behind why Phesithor only has one wing???). Gameplay is solid, and graphics are consistent. My only problem is the use of the theme seems a little vague... Awesome entry though!
I love the age of empires influence! It's a little long, but it was still pretty fun and I'm very happy you added the speedup button. The only annoying thing was there seemed to be some trees that couldn't be chopped down? Anyway, very cool game, and very cool you used your own engine.
I think I have a lot of the same problems everyone else already mentioned, so instead I'll share some stuff I liked. You're are and mood are cool, made me feel like I was playing metroid on the original nes! Speaking of metroid, I think a lot of these mechanics could work really well as a metroidvania type game, if you're into that kind of thing. Your music was really nice and fit pretty well. Ultimately the lack of checkpoints is what made me give up on finishing. It's still cool though, nice job!
@nathmate @autumn7433 @gabriel-chan Thanks for playing as well as leaving feedback!
@kutaryoushinkoku Hey thanks for playing! Did you get this bug on the web version? I thought I had fixed it, but I may need to do some more bug squashing.
@discofish Thanks for playing!
@yorsh haha thanks for trying it! I liked your game a lot more.
@zealous-coder yeah, it's incredible buggy... that's what happens when you don't play test until last minute. Glad you enjoyed it though :).
@benskca Thanks dude! I'm really bummed out I couldn't finish a track for this cause it's one of my favorite parts.
@scolondev Thanks for not being afraid to give some honest feedback. Glad you kinda liked it!
One of my fav uses of the theme, I liked the art, and the music was decent. I actually didn't mind the difficulty curve, and found myself waiting for the enemies to do something. Better enemy variation could've made it a little more interesting, but I understand that's difficult with time restrictions.
Music slaps, gameplay slaps, graphics slap. Awesome work to all of you! The only note I have is it would be nice if your score wasn't capped at 130. I tried for a top score but I just don't have the chops...
Cool mechanic that got too frustrating for me. Art and music are very nice!
Fun idea that I wish had more variation on it. Art is sleek and music is anxiety inducing(good thing). Also liked how juicy it is.
Looks amazing. I think I enjoyed the look and mood of the game a lot more than the actual gameplay. It seems like there's just not a lot of room to get better at the game. Very impressive entry though!

Super cool and good stuff. With some chill tunes I would give this a 5 as far as mood goes. I actually threw on some of the chiller track from the soundtrack of an rpg maker game called Yume Nikki and it fit perfectly. Definitely recommend. The whole game kinda reminds me of playing really hard levels on mario maker. They make you mad but are such a reward when you finish them.
