LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Benefice by JustinMullin 2018-12-03T15:10:13Z

I wish I could play it! I'm going to have to wait for the Windows version I guess  By the way, if you want your game to get more ratings and such you should play and rate others games. That will make your game show up more for others

Heat Shield by nander 2018-12-03T16:28:10Z

Took me a while to figure out how to launch the ship and then how the navigating worked. That aside however, the game is really neat! It feels like it could be a bigger game, and the music is really spot on for setting the mood in my opinion! Nice job!

The M.O.N.K. by arkiruthis 2018-12-03T16:47:53Z

Loved it! The music & sound effects were on point and the visual effects were cool too!

KeyboardGod by maskinmask 2018-12-03T11:20:53Z

Wow this game has some adorable art  The gameplay was fun, my main complaint is that since I was looking at the button combinations on the lower half of the screen I barely had time to read the textboxes that showed up on the upper half of the screen.

A Day in the Antarctica by Khud0 2018-12-03T17:44:31Z

Aww I didn't manage to finish it, was playing for a couple of minutes when I clipped into a corner and got stuck :frowning2: Oh well maybe it's for the better, I felt like a monster while playing

SMASHTEC by Matthew Roelle 2018-12-03T14:50:11Z

Really good looking game! Was the fps uncapped? I feel like it might have been more fun if there was slightly more control over your speed... Anyways, nicely done for a 48 hour jam!

Sacrifice - The Card Game by MadreDeDios 2018-12-03T11:05:20Z

Nice! Too bad there were no sound effects or music, that could have made me want to play more

Worthless Robots Fight by 01FE7E 2018-12-03T15:22:54Z

I dig the artstyle! The robot placement/battling is neat as well, the real qualm I have is, except for the lack of sound, that there are ways for the game to get stuck in a loop  For example if you have only a tank left and there is only one basic robot left, there is no way for the enemy robot to kill the tank and the tank can't kill anything haha.

Suicide Rabbits by m3rcurial92 2018-12-05T00:33:58Z

This is a really cute game! I gave it two tries but never managed to cross the water, a bit too difficult for me

Slime Venture by MRUniverse 2018-12-05T00:02:52Z

This was a pretty cool game! A nice addition would be a restart button for when you die. I'm generally not a big fan of acceleration based movement in platformers, so can't really fault this game for it

Slime Venture by MRUniverse 2018-12-05T00:27:58Z

@mruniverse Oh my bad, must have missed it, ignore that part of the feedback then

Flock of Salvation by Juutis 2018-12-03T15:30:25Z

Neat game! One thing I was missing was feedback for when you sacrifice the birds, I wasn't sure whether to throw them down the hole in the middle or off the cliff, or if both worked as I didn't see anything change / hear anything.

Flock of Salvation by Juutis 2018-12-03T16:07:29Z

@juutis ah hahah! With that in mind, me running around killing birds and throwing them off the cliff seems all the more hilarious in hindsight :bird:

The nightmare by Zsolt 2018-12-03T17:22:54Z

This was pretty cool. It sort of reminds me of early silent hill games and older psychological horror games for PC. With some added sound effects and/or music (with for example Harpischord sounds), I think it could have gotten even creepier

ChosenProtector by Suchista 2018-12-03T14:28:04Z

This was a difficult game! It was fun but one thing that would have been nice would have been descriptions for the different towers, saving up for one worth 35 without knowing it woudln't attack the normal enemies led to me being swarmed in the end

Split Soul by Sthor726 2018-12-05T00:11:13Z

I really liked the artstyle, and the splitting soul was a neat concept!

Humans - The Invaders by VAce 2018-12-04T23:12:37Z

The animated earth was a cute addition to a pretty dark game

My best friend by ShenDev 2018-12-05T00:57:25Z

This was one of the funnier games I've played so far! Great use of the theme imo

Atomic Lifetime by Kaish 2018-12-03T10:51:33Z

Cool game! I really struggled with the "C" level compared to the rest, had a hard time hitting the atom with the shot.

Sacrifice Party by Tornoz 2018-12-04T22:43:50Z

This was cool! Struggled with the drawings but I was quite good at chopping of the head of the :bird: :smiling_imp:

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T11:25:10Z

@shendev Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! The point and click part was the one I spent most of day 1 on, it was originally going to have a bigger part but as you mentioned, time was an issue

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T12:12:16Z

@arkiruthis Hello! Glad you liked it! I added a resizeable version to the itch.io page, unfortunately chrome seems to flag the file as malicious (I have scanned it and there were no threats found, so it's a false positive), but I was able to download it with another browser!

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T12:15:40Z

@nakami Glad you liked it! Originally the game idea was solely focused on the rats (more along with you working for a pharmaceutical development company.) However, I felt so bad for the rats so I made the reasoning slightly less "depressing"

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T16:00:26Z

@thomas-lacroix If you meant the different colored lights; they are there so that the player knows the button does something, even if nothing in the room changed that time. If you meant the empty dispenser sprite itself, it was supposed to give a bit of depth to the sprite (though the perspective is a bit messed up when I look at it now  )

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T16:04:43Z

@blodyavenger Yeah that was sort of the idea haha. Originally the idea was a bit more depressing, a random 20 year old working at a pharmaceutical company testing their drugs on rats, but I ended up changing it to be slightly more light-hearted (which also brought the 2D platformer aspect into the mix!)

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-03T16:29:25Z

@blodyavenger No problem! Glad you enjoyed the game!

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-05T09:46:00Z

@myfriendtames Thanks! Really happy you liked it!

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-05T09:52:01Z

@incobalt Haha yea I was originally going to make the machine more complicated, with different drugs and other things you had to do. I ended up putting that to the side though as I felt that concept was too depressing to make

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-07T16:30:25Z

@tigerj Thanks again for playing it on the stream, it was a lot of fun to watch!

Rablat by Sodaro 2018-12-08T16:39:48Z

@jupiter-hadley Thanks for playing! I just watched video and noticed that something broke when you were playing, as you did the right thing but it wouldn't work for some reason

Total Party Kill by adventureislands 2018-12-05T00:47:05Z

Wow this was made in 48 hours!? Nice work, puzzle games are deceptively hard to make fun! It had a nice Lost Vikings / Trine vibe too the puzzle design

Battle of the Occultists by SlizzBen 2018-12-03T13:54:04Z

Lovely game! I liked experimenting with different combinations, too bad that you had to start over from the beginning if you died :frowning2:

LD44 — Your life is currency

The Akolythe and the Amulet of Andhor by zondarg 2019-04-29T22:29:05Z

Cool game! I made a game with a similar interpretation of the theme but the your gameplay/genre was totally different, in a good way!

Something that could be tweaked is the hit detection on the player, I struggled with walking underneath traps because the collision seemed to be the whole sprite, not just the area around the feet.

Really liked the art and music too, good job!

Choice of Life by victorcrafty 2019-04-30T18:02:47Z

It was interesting to see what effects sacrificing certain body parts would have! Nice interpretation of the theme!

Might of the Druids by candlesan 2019-05-04T11:27:24Z

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of variation in the cards! It definitely feels like some cards are better than others, but then again that's the case in most deckbuilders haha. I feel like the game could use some music, or maybe some ambient forest sound (birds, tree leaves rustling, etc), but I think it was neat regardless. Good job!

Body + Soul by SleepyStudios 2019-05-12T11:14:02Z

Nice game! I liked the art-style and I found the music melody catchy! As people have already mentioned it would be nice with some kind of way to regenerate health, though I guess it could potentially be kinda hard to implement without the game becoming too easy! Overall nice job though!

Ziggy's Life by PurpledArtFrog 2019-04-29T09:23:24Z

Cool little game! The story + the funky beat makes punching fellow inmates kinda hilarious! Main complaint is what others have already mentioned, the combat. I had a hard time knowing if I hit someone or not so some visual feedback there would be nice. Good luck with future entries!

Monster Slayer by ja0073 2019-05-04T11:45:57Z

The art-style music is kinda neat! Some visual feedback on why upgrades are locked would be appreciated, so you can plan what upgrades you want better. Some smaller balance changes, e.g. switching to the machine gun from the pistol felt like a downgrade, which it probably shouldn't

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-04-29T10:29:31Z

@zubspace Appreciate the the feedback! I opted for a more basic artstyle partly because I ended up spending a bit too much time on the enemy AI. I think jumping lost some value at one point when I did some balance tweaks, earlier in development it was almost crucial in order to not die; because casting bolts was too expensive and enemies would do it constantly...

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-04-29T10:31:43Z

@noobexception Damn, I will have to look into that! Was it when you attacked or the enemy?

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-04-29T11:10:47Z

@noobexception Alright, thanks for trying to find it! I wasn't able to recreate it so hopefully it was a one time thing, might still try to add some fail-safes here and there just in case!

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-04-30T21:41:42Z

@sebastien-bourgeois Nah sorry  I wanted to add more but I ended up spending too much time on the enemy AI, and I thought that just adding more of the same enemies without anything else would get too repetetive for the player haha

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-05-13T20:58:46Z

@gozz Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the other mages can sometimes remain outside of the screen when knocked out, but they should move back in if you move further to the left (though I can see why that is something that isn't really clear ). My goal with the next Ludum Dare is to make something a bit simpler so I will hopefully have more time to make playable content!

The Sanguine Fight by Sodaro 2019-05-21T09:38:10Z

@jaywoody Thanks for all the kind words! I was kinda low on time when I started to make the ending so I sort of went with the first idea that popped into my head, glad that you liked it

Truth of life by EddenSoft 2019-04-30T18:30:58Z

Interesting take on the theme, though I feel some music/sound would have enhanced the experience!

Lifestock by Esben Jensen 2019-04-29T10:11:32Z

I like the visuals and the theme interpretation of "Lifestock"! One complaint is that I didn't know how to score points, I lost and gained points without really knowing why! Anyways, it was a neat game!

Life Cycle by zubspace 2019-04-29T10:24:13Z

I like the feel of the controls, but if it was possible to not go full speed that would be neat! I reached act 2 but the conveyor + sawblade gap was a bit too precise for me  Anyways, good job on your entry!

MoneyBag by Chameleon 2019-05-04T11:10:02Z

Nice game! I know personally (from trying and failing) how hard it can be to come up with puzzles, but I think you did a good job for a jam! I think if you had allowed the player to spend all of their "health" (e.g. 100 health on a 100 health machine) then it would have fit the theme even more. Great first entry!

Money Heist by dmdmdmdm 2019-04-29T10:02:39Z

I love the take on the theme, your life is literally currency! I like the artstyle, one complaint is that at first glance it's kinda hard to see the spikes on the floor-traps. All in all good job though!

Undercave by NoobException 2019-04-29T09:36:28Z

I really liked the atmosphere and mood of the game! Main complaint is the forced falling asleep, since you don't even wake up when enemies damage you :frowning2: Anyways, nice job on your first entry!

Cards of Life by mapleglaze 2019-04-29T09:57:25Z

I like the story concept of the game! Even if the betting didn't make it I wish there was some kind of music/sound and maybe a devil sprite somewhere! Good luck with future entries!

Life for Likes by FM Studio 2019-04-29T09:47:03Z

Love the artstyle and the story sorta reminded me of the movie Ingrid Goes West! The game was rather hard, I struggled with walking up to the dangers without walking into them  Anyways, good job!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Nuclear Arms 8: Navigate the Hate by Logicon211 2021-04-27T16:44:30Z

Nice game, surprised at the amount of levels and storyboards! Felt like the gun could have used some more hitstun on enemies, as it felt dangerous to straight up fight them I just ended up kiting them while jumping backwards

Deepeth Woods by colapolka 2021-04-27T19:30:05Z

Nice artstyle! The attack was a bit hard to use but at some point I realized I could just run over enemies to kill them (unsure if it was a bug or feature :D)

Depth by SaraJS 2021-04-29T11:43:04Z

Cool game! Sort of like a Super Hexagon meets Devil Daggers but in 3D  Too challenging for me, but I still enjoyed it. Cheers!

Bun's Cave by bnmkt 2021-04-28T10:21:37Z

The visuals are nice! After the movement tutorial (press w, a, s, d) it switches to the ZQSD control scheme, which while uncomfortable, I was still able to play a few levels!

Stolen Time by loginaut 2021-04-28T15:13:12Z

Wow, did not expect time traveling to 3 different time periods! Was stuck for a while until I tried another dialog option with the npc, which turned out to be important haha. The UI could have also been a lot larger, as I did not even notice it for the first few minutes... but it's hard to scale for multiple resolutions :) Cheers for the unique experience!

Fish'n'Ship by tipyx 2021-04-28T09:36:04Z

Nice game! Took me a while to realize there was a type of fish who only swam away if you stopped moving, as I used one crewmate as designated captain haha. The artstyle was great and the general feel of the game very reminiscent of FTL, good job!

The Quantum Menace by freamdev 2021-04-28T15:54:04Z

I restarted twice because of running out of ammo when the boss spawned, and was thinking "why doesn't this game have ammo drops", but on my third attempt I realized there was a reload button :face_palm: I think the UI would benefit from being grouped closer together as well (I was heavily focused on the middle-right side of the screen and did not realize you could see the reload time on the left side either). Having said that, the game was a lot more fun on the final attempt when I used all the tools, nicely done!

Infratoad by Seb_degraff 2021-04-27T13:14:37Z

Neat game! :) Wish there was a sound for hitting the ice blocks, didn't realize you could break them completely as only the first hit changed the sprite. Aside from that it had a nice look/style!

The Red Crystal by Bastienre4 2021-04-27T18:35:37Z

The atmosphere is cool and the post-processing effect is neat! It felt a bit jarring when the same book as in the "lore"-menu was opened in the ending, was kind of confused at that point. All in all, nice entry! :)

The Red Crystal by Bastienre4 2021-04-27T19:04:12Z

@bastienre4 Ah ok, that explains it! I might have skimmed over some lines, my bad

Moley Maze by tigerj 2021-04-27T15:58:35Z

I agree with the comment about being able to heal, was kinda sad when my mole died :( The mole running animation (with the shovel on the back!) is amazing and the music riff is a banger! Nice job! :)

Crumbling Caves by Andreas Roschal 2021-04-27T15:21:36Z

Really nice art! I enjoyed creating the map the most, as I found the combat quite challenging tbh :( Great entry!

Delevator by guladam 2021-04-29T09:19:45Z

Very dark game! Early on I started thinking "is the right answer to stop playing?" as you could only do messed up things haha :D Nitpick: I think the audio was mostly coming out of my left speaker, or at least it felt like it. Cheers for the unique dark experience!

Hungry Jungle by mitsu.artemius 2021-04-27T20:04:02Z

I was surprised at the amount of variety in the weapons! Whenever a new person wanted to join I made them try a new berry (unless there were ones I was sure would heal them) :smiling_imp: Would have been nice if the music was longer or if there was just some general ambience instead, felt like I was going a bit insane towards the end with the music looping and the game taunting me

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-27T15:02:18Z

@pandaderzwote Glad you liked it! We wanted to tutorialize the gameplay more but ran out of time to do so haha

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-27T15:03:04Z

@stipple3d Thank you!

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-27T15:04:35Z

@tyler-roberts You were not alone in being confused, that's on us  Thanks for playing!

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-27T15:08:02Z

@mathemagician Thanks for playing! We had intended to have a puzzle around using the orb climbing mechanic, but couldn't come up with a fun one so I removed it (or so I thought... )

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-27T21:52:20Z

@crazykittens-892-yt Thanks for playing! Yeah there were definitely a few minor issues we would have liked to iron out if we had a bit more time!

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-28T09:00:18Z

@volt450 The last puzzle was the last one we made so didn't spend as much time on playtesting it, glad you were able to complete it anyway!

@kel Hmm that's odd, might be a result of porting to HTML5... We were going to use F1 to open the controls at first but noticed that opened a support/help tab in chrome, so could be a similar problem with the tab key. Thanks for playing!

@loginaut Ah yes that is what we use! It had the benefit of a more "acceleration"-feel to the initial movement but with the drawback of not stopping immediately after releasing the axis, might change that if we make any changes to the game  Glad you enjoyed the puzzles!

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-28T14:01:54Z

@killryusha Thanks! Glad you liked it! :)

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-28T16:47:39Z

@lorwon Yeah we considered throwing in some kind of explanatory text in the introduction part at the very end of the jam but I decided against it as I felt kinda stressed and didn't want to introduce any last-minute bugs haha  Thanks sticking with it!

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-29T07:23:52Z

@tom-stephenson Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-29T08:24:36Z

@hoeleboele Oh no! Guess we missed a spot where you could get stuck on a platform :( Glad you still had fun though!

@vsi- Thank you! Yeah the in the end theme ended up being just the setting and the "transitioning to a new area by jumping further down"

@guladam Yeah a crosshair was one of the things I mentioned several times while making the game, and still forgot to implement... Thanks for playing! :)

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-29T23:21:32Z

@gimmers Thanks for the feedback! Yeah might flesh this game out at some point and that is one of the things that would be on the list :)

Wizard Dungeon Escape 3D by Sodaro 2021-04-30T17:34:08Z

@100th-coin Thanks a lot, glad you had a good time!

Quick Scrap by Vimlark 2021-04-29T13:05:38Z

Fun game! The art is really good and the sounds are nice!

vim1.png

vim2.png

vim3.png

vim4.png

(apologies for the bad cropping)

I really enjoyed improving my any% runs in the first two levels but the last two were a bit long so I was just happy to reach the end on those  Cheers!

Muggy Lake by Bossus 2021-04-27T20:58:18Z

The atmosphere was really cool (I have a certain fondness of psx era horror games), and the music fit the game really well! I'm kinda sad the game had a monster as I drastically reduced my exploring once I encountered the first one (wasn't sure if there was a combat mechanic so I just "ran" away haha). Good job on the game!

Associated Arguments by mathemagician 2021-04-27T21:15:27Z

Neat game! Wish there was more puzzle difficulty, but as you wrote the game is more about conversation which is done in a cool way  Well done on your first compo!

Happy submarine by Rubyes 2021-04-27T15:44:49Z

My initial thoughts were "aww I can see why it's named happy submarine, this is cute", easy to say those weren't the same as the ones I had when I finished the game  I kind of felt like the game was about to end at depth 700, when I had already maxed out the damage upgrade. Cool entry!

Gaze into the Deeper by TureGrappa 2021-04-27T20:26:22Z

Short and fun! My main complaint is that there is a small "tick" sound at the end of the attacking sound, once I noticed it I was unable to unhear it :D The sprites were really nice as well, good job on the game! :)

Alien Abyss by Tom Stephenson 2021-04-27T19:39:36Z

Nice use of a limited art palette! The bullet hitting wall screenshake was a bit much, thought it was a monster spawning at first heh.

Fine Line Mine by spyranteros 2021-04-27T21:41:12Z

Beautiful pixel-art! The game was fun but I found it really hard to not use the pick on the coins, causing them to fall as well :( Nice compo entry!

A Taste of the Past by Emily Pitcher 2021-04-29T08:15:45Z

Nice take on the theme! Wish there were one or two more puzzles, the food art was great  The walking animation was a bit janky, and imo there were 1 or 2 characters too many (a lot of similar conversations in a short time so they kind of blended together). Great entry though! :)

Khazads by vsi- 2021-04-29T08:43:46Z

Neat game! As others mentioned, the pickaxe is kinda hard to use but I was able to make it work :) Nice flashlight effect and the fadeout on entering rooms!

Fishing in the woods by KillRyusha 2021-04-28T15:25:57Z

Cool game! At first I thought the longer QTE:s were a bit harsh if you messed up, but then I realized there was no level-based time limit, which made it more relaxing  The artstyle was great and the animals adorable!

Random Deep by stipple3D 2021-04-27T20:18:28Z

Interesting use of randomness and neat map/location tracking! That said, it would have been nice being able to influence the randomness in some way, as I found myself walking back and forth multiple times hoping to not bypass the room I wanted to go to  I might try the hard version later! :)

Sweet Dreams by LeHaine 2021-04-27T18:25:25Z

Nice pixel-art! The game feels very satisfying to play, with the camera shake and particles etc, nice job! I found the combat a bit too easy as the enemies spawned a long distance away and the slingshot can hit them outside the screen, but it was still fun!

To the CORE by brettbubba03 2021-04-27T16:08:35Z

Cool little shooting gallery! The difficulty became a bit overwhelming around round 12 or so (when the markers requiring multiple clicks appeared). I think I survived for a total of 16 rounds or so, not quite sure as the "You Win!" text was blocking the rounds counter on the win screen :)

DrillDrill: The Quest for Diamonds by Hoeleboele 2021-04-29T09:03:44Z

Nice game! Once I figured out you needed to buy the up-arrows quickly, I stopped dying! Main complaint is that the ending could be higher up (at one point I stopped buying more powerups as I wanted less airtime), which meant I stockpiled over 200 gems which I did not spend except for the occasional health refill. Cool entry though!

Dwoblins by oligue 2021-04-28T16:06:28Z

Nice job on finishing your first gamejam! The game was quite fun and I did not encounter any bugs! For your next entry I would suggest looking into adding sound (either using a generator software like sfxr or downloading free sound assets) as it adds a _lot_ to the feel of the game! Anyway, keep it up and hope you continue joining game jams!

Dwoblins by oligue 2021-04-29T08:36:08Z

@oligue hahah I feel that, definitely done the same

Robo-Driller by Famicon80 2021-04-27T18:46:30Z

Fun, retro-style game! The rolling wheels were a pain in the beginning but I eventually learned how to deal with them :) My last run ended with me being chased by three monkeys and avoiding two wheels just to walk into a rat-thingy

Pit Dungeon by Nutella.Files 2021-04-27T20:43:26Z

Nice fun game! The worst part about the ankh was how weak it made the pew pew feel in comparsion  The only thing missing was a cool song in the background!

Hypnagogia by kel 2021-04-28T14:43:47Z

Nice game! If the wall jump had more of an arc to it I think it would feel a bit better! Thought it was cool that you made a (mostly) working level generator in a short time span as well.

Dungeon Painter by IanTheBee 2021-04-27T19:02:32Z

I found the painting mechanic really cool to use! I mostly died from barely missing a spike with the paint and walking right into it, maybe if they were a bit bigger it would be easier to notice them? Another thing that could be cool is if the paint from when you died remains after respawn, would make deaths less punishing  Anyway those are just some thoughts, good job on the game!

LD49 — Unstable

Wake me up when August ends by Beetrootmonkey 2021-10-06T20:06:59Z

Very cool! Did not know what to do at first so just ran to the right, then I reread the description and was able to live for a bit longer :D

Unstable Concoction by NeilKleistGao 2021-10-05T17:09:46Z

The art style is lovely and I like the concept of combining elements and that combination adding an additional layer of complexity by destroying tiles! Would have liked to be able to click less (felt a bit straining), such as by being able to hold the mouse button or use keyboard) :)

Gem of Stability by JakobTheQuizGuy 2021-10-18T21:30:54Z

Nicely done :D One thing I was missing though was being able to hold down a button to shoot, as I kinda stopped trying to shoot them at around 160 seconds due to hand starting to hurt. Other than that I liked the art, the contextual audio, and the feel of the movement!

A Lost Light by Sodaro 2021-10-05T16:25:10Z

Glad so many of you liked it!

We also felt the game was a bit short, but it took us some time to figure out what direction we wanted to take the game, so didn't quite have the time to make more content

@neilkleistgao @rayqdr @jakobthequizguy @maluskhan Sorry the controls were a bit hard to use, would have liked to do some more tweaking on them! :)

AIROBICS by mausimus 2021-10-05T17:51:10Z

The game was hard and stressful, exactly what I'd expect from a air traffic controller simulation! Great job with the artstyle as well!

Fire Risk by Soul Grinder 2021-10-18T21:20:00Z

Nice entry! I would have liked the jump to be a little bit stronger, as you already have limited vertical control (and if I missed a jump I could plummet really far without landing anywhere). I really liked the blend of the gameplay, art and music as it brought back fond memories playing flash games as a kid

Myco by treatyofparis 2021-10-18T22:09:38Z

Once I figured out how the game worked (mostly, there were some mechanics I didn't quite understand) I had a blast! Nice job

UR TNT by ADerpyChickenStudios 2021-10-05T16:39:37Z

Great job! Would have liked a bit more difficulty, perhaps some limit on the explosions per level... not sure :D But other than that I really liked the overall execution of the game such as art, theme take, and music choice!

Memories by Spidd 2021-10-05T17:29:04Z

Nice to see a story-based puzzle game! Great job!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

A Card Game by Nicso 2022-04-05T13:39:35Z

Beautiful art! I thought I got stuck twice as I sacrificed the card that had the hint on how to spawn more cards  Once I figured out that mechanic I was able to beat the game!

Don't protest me! by KuKuRammus 2022-04-06T08:21:05Z

Cool take on a clicker game! Really liked the artstyle and mood!

Dungeon Escape by mar3k 2022-04-05T15:43:54Z

I liked the artstyle and the concept of the game! The game however feels a bit too difficult so I was not able to make progress past the second floor and could not afford any items

Graveyard Path by JOrbits 2022-04-06T08:36:09Z

Aside from the clicking sound I enjoyed this, nice take on the theme!

Coffee Run by jelch 2022-04-07T14:21:28Z

The cutscenes for falling asleep / waking up were beautiful! I would have liked some indication whether the game had an ending or not, as it kept going and there were variations in the level but no obvious "end state" in sight. Solid entry though, good job!

Too Close by Webox 2022-04-05T14:07:31Z

The pixelart is lovely and the sound design is very atmospheric! Cool to see some randomization between each run too, but some rooms felt a bit too hard for how early they were encountered. Very good entry all in all though

Aloft by ColeSlaughter 2022-04-05T20:21:18Z

Gorgeous and moody, but very difficult :D Nicely done!

Grieventide by Abdonatioera 2022-04-05T14:57:50Z

The atmosphere is really cool! I feel like there could have been fewer pickups, as I didn't really know what they did for a while due to always having full health. The place that needed the "keys" could have been moved closer to the start so you knew what the goal was from the start. Anyways that's just some thoughts, cool entry!

E P I L O G U E by JLV 2022-04-08T06:27:00Z

I liked the story element of the former party members being massively flawed (especially the king... damn). It wasn't until the last fight I figured out how to store PP so most of the previous fights I was only using the same moves. Nice use of the public domain music too, great job in general!

The Great Flood by cassowary 2022-04-08T06:47:23Z

I really liked the artstyle, and the rain really set the mood (also explanation for rising water) :D The last level had me stumped for a while, but the generous undo mechanic prevented it from not being frustrating. Great job!

DIZT by Sodaro 2022-04-05T14:25:04Z

Thanks so much for the comments and feedback all!

@tatawanda @xiris @borchezz Yeah there were a few concepts we would have liked to explain/teach better such as the box/barrel destruction and weapon switching but we didn't think of it soon enough :(

@abdonatioera sad to hear about the technical issues, with the webbuild you might have to click inside of the viewport before you can move (it doesn't always have focus). Not sure what caused the issue in the windows build but thanks for reporting it!

DIZT by Sodaro 2022-04-05T22:03:04Z

@mateu Thanks so much for playing and taking the time to report the performance issues! We added a linux build now which should hopefully run better

DIZT by Sodaro 2022-04-05T22:21:27Z

@mateu Damn, @spode tried it on a virtual machine which seemed to work but I have no clue what might be causing the issue :slight_frown: Oh well, thanks for giving it another shot!

DIZT by Sodaro 2022-04-12T08:23:59Z

Thanks so much for the feedback all! Yeah the graphical readability could definitely be improved upon, as it can be hard to discern some important elements from the surrounding environment (and the crosshair was supposed to be way brighter but something happened late so it became somewhat transparent).

@coleslaughter Yeah the car was originally intended to be used a lot more throughout the game, but when we made the final take on the level it ended up being a bit too close to the end and a less prominent feature because of it :(

Estrella by Xiris 2022-04-05T14:34:51Z

The artstyle is top-notch, and the visual and feedback from the typing is really good! Great job!

Warmer by S1l3Jamal 2022-04-05T13:19:59Z

This game showed a lot of promise, the art looks good and the music is a jam!

Don't Die, Dodo! by Baconeta 2022-04-06T07:43:10Z

Very pretty! Placing the bridge in the right spot was kinda hard. Nice addition with the dodo facts in the gameovoer screen

Carpe Diem by Pomo 2022-04-07T14:38:25Z

The aesthetic is very cool and the game plays well! I wish there was some audio feedback for when jump/land, and maybe a bit higher initial acceleration as it feels a bit sluggish in the beginning (feels better later). Great job in general though!

Fight The Darkness by Specturnal 2022-04-11T10:48:06Z

I liked the wide variety of weapons, both melee and ranged! Found the bar with the skull a bit confusing, wasn't sure whether it going to the left was good or not (as I thought a full skull-bar would equal death). Aside from that the art was awesome and game was fun, great job!

Balloon Drift by matt1will 2022-04-06T08:04:22Z

Oh nice a PICO-8 game! Plays really well and looks great, nice job!

Lava Run by BlueDingo 2022-04-09T22:22:55Z

Nice job with generating platforms! WASD did work for me at least on a QWERTY keyboard. I also want to echo what has already been said about making the lava more present in the game, as I did not even realize there was any until I read the comments and went back to check haha. Some simple audio sounds would also add so much to make the game feel even better to play

Misfortune in the Galaxy by TarikAF 2022-04-05T20:34:42Z

I loved the artstyle! Unfortunately I had a bug (I think) where the objective wouldn't complete after I did all the steps it asked, but I still enjoyed the game and could see what you set out to do!

Asteroid Anarchy by Mateu 2022-04-05T15:19:59Z

Nice! I got a bit frustrated with the cutscene playing everytime I died (happened twice in a short succession), but I still beat the game  I liked the take on the theme!

Nightwaker by Bottled up Dark Peace 2022-04-05T15:34:29Z

Really cool looking game! I wish the timer for j / k was more forgiving and obvious, I had to keep spamming it because it felt like as soon as I didn't I died :( (which I understand is probably the point but my hand started hurting a bit haha) Cool entry though, impressed that you were able to synchronize 9 people and make something like this over a weekend

Nightwaker by Bottled up Dark Peace 2022-04-05T16:22:11Z

@bottled-up-dark-peace oh yes sorry! I meant how frequently you had to press the keys to keep your eyes open, as when enemies appear I looked at them and not the eyes in the higher up on the screen  So maybe a glow around the player character or something like that :D Hope that cleared up what I meant!

Last Landing by alpqty 2022-04-05T20:41:57Z

The art assets and cutscenes are cool! It wasn't immediately obvious to me that I had to look at the boost meter, but once I saw it I recognized mechanic from the "job minigames" in fable 2 which was neat  Nice entry!

Wrath of the Sun God by Skript-Kitty 2022-04-05T22:17:54Z

Woah I'm impressed that you managed to pull this off in 24 hours! I beat the game on medium and then went back and spent about 10 attempts trying to beat it on hard before finally giving up

WE ARE DOOMED by andrground 2022-04-05T22:31:49Z

Nice entry! I only managed to make it to around 4000BC but I really liked the artstyle and the implementation of the theme :)

WE ARE DOOMED by andrground 2022-04-05T22:31:52Z

Nice entry! I only managed to make it to around 4000BC but I really liked the artstyle and the implementation of the theme :) *EDIT: for some reason this comment got posted twice, sorry about that

LD55 — Summoning

Demons stole my stuff by Zirrrus 2024-04-16T19:03:45Z

The darn cheese summoning had me stumped for a while, but the rest felt frictionless! Some audio would have been nice, but I know how it can be hard to cover everything in a gamejam. Great job with the art and the writing as well

The Wrong Book by adam-gould 2024-04-16T20:15:18Z

Extremely well done! The voice acting is hilarious and the gameplay has enough changes to not too repetitive for the duration it lasts  I would have loved some keyboard shortcuts or the selection not being cleared for every click though!

Dungeon Evoker by VPhyre 2024-04-23T05:38:22Z

Nice job! The "boss phase" starting without warning broke my combo several times, which felt a bit frustrating. I would've also liked the inputs to match the music more, even if it limited the game to one level with one song

DeathBird by Sodaro 2024-04-17T17:22:43Z

Thanks for playing everyone!

@MnemosyneVL We had planned to add a secondary mode which would've been a score-based "endless" mode, but sadly ran out of time!

@Gulcar A progress bar was also planned in some form (ideally tied to the summoning circle) but that didn't make it in either

Dicing with the Undead by picttarge 2024-04-16T18:30:08Z

I experienced some bugs with dead units not disappearing which made it a bit hard to keep track of what units were alive and where the enemies were. It also felt a bit strange when small groups of enemies with a strength of 5 and still kill my 10+ strength army, but maybe I misunderstood how the rules worked. Either way I had fun and was able to win in the end

Totem Breakout by denilseven 2024-04-16T18:43:21Z

I also struggled with the melee attack since the spear enemies were so hard to avoid, so I mostly just ran around trying to use the totem move asap in order to get the ranged fire again  The art was very charming and the totem mechanic interesting, good job

SKELEMANCER by deadjolly 2024-04-16T20:47:54Z

The game seemed fun but sadly I had strange issues when playing in browser, and in the windows build it crashed twice a few mins in when I tried that.

Geometry Summoner by benisu 2024-04-16T20:31:22Z

Fun game, the music is so good  A bit hard to move and aim without bumping into enemies, I would have maybe preferred not having to aim at all since moving and typing was already a lot to manage, but that's just my take. Good job on the submission!

Burn with me by Nozomu57 2024-04-16T19:36:19Z

Great job! It took me about 3 attempts to beat it but I finally did. Due to wording on the last encounter I almost gave up when I had two spots left, as I thought I had to match the score exactly and no matter how I would try I would end up going over by at least 1 but luckily I played it out

Infernal Exorcism by Marju 2024-04-16T18:04:33Z

I like the concept and the mechanic of placing salt to kill the demons! I didn't realize at first that you could carry the salt, as you placed some immediately when picking it up so it just looked like I changed the sprite. I'll also echo what others have said about having more feedback when hurting the demons, especially as they didn't die immediately
