Easy mode ain't so easy. Took me a while to beat. The green dudes really did a number on me as I wouldn't notice them until they had already started their rampage.
Really fun though and actually kept me engaged and playing for a while. Although no single aspect stood out as amazing the combined product was great!

This was a difficult game! It was fun but one thing that would have been nice would have been descriptions for the different towers, saving up for one worth 35 without knowing it woudln't attack the normal enemies led to me being swarmed in the end :sweat_smile:

Yup, it is a pretty hard game. But I can see how it can be fun if it was a bit easier :)

oh man I love this music, I mean it! Reminds me a bit about a 5 min indie game about life and death that I fail to remember the name now
really hard game but really enjoyable overall with a nice music and mechanics. As said above, a description of the different towers would have been nice but you make mistake only once

Yeh easy mode is hard haha. They just smash your little dudes once they kill one. Like the idea though but yeh the difficulty could definitely be scaled down a touch. Nice work though.

The game is really fun and enjoyable to play and I really like how it scales up over time with new enemies to face and adapt to. I do think that it's a little difficult (I was playing on Hard) which I think is because it scales just a bit too quickly.
Wish I could move faster but only beacuse I dont want to git good. Blast concept. Them use is nice. Not a big fan of the graphics but definitely a good game. easy to play hard to master.

Nice! Even on easy the game was fairly tough; it took me a couple tries to realize at which point I can no longer win due to my sacrifice count increasing slower than I could take care of the enemies. The gameplay loop was pretty classic but very entertaining and made me want to finish the game properly. It felt nice to play a Tower Defense -style game again :)

This was a nice twist on the tower defense games I've seen. You're trying to let people through instead of stopping them. It was really fun and kept me engaged even though I couldn't beat easy mode. The main complaint I have is that it took me awhile to figure out what each tower did. I think a description should show up when you hover over the tower you're selecting.
I pressed the green tower once I had enough people I sacrificed, but it didn't put it anywhere? lol
The controls for building towers were a little bit awkward, and it wasn't really clear to me outside of experimentation what the towers would do, but otherwise I really enjoyed this game.
I tried on easy mode and got wrecked when the green guys showed up more or less. I am afraid to try hard. It definitely held my attention while playing.
This was really surprisingly fun! I liked the way the ramp in difficulty was tuned. I liked being able to place the towers down where I wanted. The introduction of different enemies over time was really well executed too. Overall - very nicely done! 2018-12-09 15_28_16-ChosenProtector.png

Perfectly balanced. I honestly don't know how you achieved that in a game jam environment. Nice one! :thumbsup:
Really nice tuning of the difficulty, I actually bothered replaying it until I made it through. I liked the different enemy types (and towers). It was satisfying to squash the enemies and small things like the happy faces when you win makes a lot! The fact that the enemies always charged the guy in front didn't really bother me, its kind of nice when a game is consistent like that! Good job!

Fun game! The difficulty scaling was very well done, the game has a really good curve so the player can get used to the mechanics before tossing stuff at them. I tried hard mode and struggled quite a bit but easy seems to be a little more balanced. It's a good and well executed idea. Well done :)
Fantastic game! I really appreciated the irony in protecting these 'poor' sacrifices. The game itself was fun to play, the difficulty curves nicely, and the AI works fantastically. It almost had a tower defence vibe, I suppose in a way it was the other way around! What's even better is that you had a variety in difficulty levels (I went straight for hard, of course, and lost eventually), really good job on this game!

Fantastic game mechanics and enemies, I only missed another sound effect for when you sacrifice one person. It would give some extra feedback
Cool game, but it was really tough! Thought the art work was silly and fit your game pretty well. One problem I noticed was that I couldn't seem to build towers when the game was in full screen mode. Again, great little game and congratulations on making a game in 48 hours!
