What a cool entry. It really made me feel something. I would really like to give you some feedback, but the game is so nice and polished. Great job, mate :)

What a cool entry. It really made me feel something. I would really like to give you some feedback, but the game is so nice and polished. Great job, mate :)
I love the graphics! :D One thing I didn't understand at first was why I couldn't take one crate, but it was not in the red zone :). Also I would have liked some arrow keys controls, I am not really a fan of WASD myself.
Lovely game! I LOVE the music! The text seems pretty low effort, but I guess you didn't have enough time? However, the tutorial is greatly appreciated :).
Nice little game, good job for finishing it! :) Surprisingly, it took me a while to understand how to play it. In the minigame where I have to delete folders, I somehow couldn't move the folders to the recycle bin, I couldn't get it to the lower half of the screen. Second time I tried it, it worked :). I guess that was a bug. Also, I am not really a fun of the clicking sound when you click anywhere. It made me think that I did a right thing, even if I clicked somewhere random on the screen. So you could make it so the sound plays only when you click on a button, or something. Also, I don't really understand why the description of the game is in both Spanish and English. I am neither a native English speaker, but I don't think it would make that much sense to have two versions of the description, especially considering that the most people trying it are English speakers (except friends/family that don't speak English, which you could teach how to play). It almost made me click away from your game, so maybe consider this in the future :). By the way, in the game over screen, pressing any key does nothing, so you could remove that text / fix this bug (if it is). Anyways, good job y'all for this game :D.
I, too, get a black screen when I launch the game. Try fixing it, please! :)
Never played a game like yours before :). Good job for creating something new! Even though it is a very simple to understand game, I initially went and clicked on the child, instead of finding an empty seat, but after that I figured it out. One thing that I did not particularly like was that the brightness was pretty dim, and it made the game pretty hard, but I guess that's how you wanted it to be :).
Can you share a link so we can play it?
Cool game there, mate! One thing I did not really enjoy in particular was the movement. As others said, it is pretty hard to go in the right direction the way you handle movement, because pointing your gun changes the direction you will move. It would have been a bit clearer if you could only use W-A, I think (or just make the input independent from the pointing). Anyways, it was a pretty nice game, good job!
I love it! Really cool concept. I have to say, however, that it took me a while to realize that you have to flip in the air in order to get on the matress. So what I was doing was rotating, not flipping, and trying to get the pole into a vertical position. It is likely that I did not understand because I am not a native English speaker :). Anyways, a really nice game!
Lovely game. I really like the audio part of it! One small bug (or not?) is that if you walk to the edge of the screen, even though you didn't kill all the monsters, you still win the level. So what I did was to spam the click while pointing to one side, so one level took like 5 seconds :)). Also, I have to agree that it is not really as clear that you have to get to the edge of the screen to go to the next level. I initially thought there was a bug. Also, you do not use WASD to move, you move by shooting, so maybe the way to go to the next level shouldn't be movement, since it is not really expected. Anyways, great entry, good job to you all! :)
Cool game, y'all, I actually managed to complete the mission :). I think that the game could be a little bit harder (maybe the asteroids could take more health) since I managed to finish it in the first try. Other than this, it was actually a pretty fun game. Good job! :)
The graphics looks really nice, but is the mouse supposed to be hard to control? I mean the mouse movement is not linear. Here is what I am talking about: https://imgur.com/a/ijjmZWD
@gurkenlabs On Windows 10 on 1920x1080.
@gurkenlabs Nope, my display is 1080p and I played at 1080p.
@gurkenlabs Nope. Messed with all the options and none of them solved my problem :(
Interesting concept there, mate! :)
At first I didn't really understand what the energy capsule did (sorry, I do not really read descriptions :) ). At fist I thought it did nothing. When I took it I heard nothing and saw nothing change (well, something changed: the text in the top left, but I did not see it). So a nice thing would have been some feedback (the same is for when you cut into the lines, even though I see the line disappeared, some audio feedback can't do any bad), such as a sound or (/and) the text scaling up and down, and changing to a color and back. Anyways, this is a pretty small thing to an otherwise good game. Great job!
Nice game, @anudin! It was, seriously, pretty fun. It actually made me replay it, which, to be fair, doesn't really happen to me. The tutorial, for me, wasn't really necessary because the game is easy to understand. One thing that I had a problem with was the boost. When I double clicked, nothing happened. But I am also playing in Chrome, so this may be the problem. By the way, double clicking to boost in a game that uses WASD + Space doesn't really make sense to me because the control for boost could have been easily on the keyboard, since you don't have to aim, or anything. Anyways, a really fun game with very nice music (the graphics didn't really impress, but got the job done)! :)
@anudin Right, my bad. I guess I didn't really used that mechanic that much to register it :)). Sorry!
I like the music, simple but fits the game. However, I don't really understand the gameplay. A tutorial would be really helpful. So what I did so far was that I connected more stars, about 3. At first I was just clicking on them, and since I was receiving some audio feedback (the sounds you hear when you tap on a star) I thought I was doing something right. Then I saw that I can drag on stars, but I did not understand why I can connect some stars whilst I can't connect others. :)
The graphics looks great in my opinion! :) One thing you could try for your game is to change the voice sound to a different one, because I find the current one a bit annoying (it may be only me, however). Also, it would be a lot better if the tutorial (or the discussion between the two) wouldn't play every time you retry :D.
Good job for your entry, @dimesto52! :) I have to say that for a Compo game you did pretty well. It's just pretty sad that there is no music / sounds, but I don't know how to make them, so I don't blame you :).
Very satisfying to play! I really enjoyed how smooth everything was. Great job! :)
Lovely game, y'all! :) One small thing I have to say is that the font used was a bit hard to read, but I guess that's the style of the game (pixelated)? :) Otherways, I really enjoyed it, especially the graphics and the music .
Looks interesting! I actually really like the music. But, sadly, that's all I can tell about your game, because I couldn't play it... I do not own any dual-stick controllers (or any controllers, actually), so I couldn't play it. I saw that you said that the arrow keys work just fine, and they may, but I can't really pass the start menu. I tried everything, clicking, pressing every key (maybe I just missed the right one?) but nothing. I think this is because it says to "PRESS START" which I guess is a button on controllers, but I don't have it on my keyboard. In your future games, I'd say, you really must add keyboard support if you want your game to be played by more people, and make using the controller an option, if it's the case. By the way, I think your description is kinda too long. Even if I had a controller I don't think that I would have read it all, sadly. Even the description page on my game, which is a lot shorter, wasn't read by everyone (I gave my game to Ludum Dare streamers to try, and not all of them read it). Anyways, your game looks really interesting! :) What a shame I can't try it! :(
A pretty popular complaint from what I've seen: I don't really understand how to play the game :(. However, the music is pretty sweet :).
Cool entry, y'all! I enjoy the style of the game, and it not being very serious (for example the shooting sound, or the background music are pretty happy). One really small thing I have is that it was not really obvious that the lava (couldn't really tell it was lava when I played, to be fair, some particles would help) which I thought was a explosion that didn't go away, would take you damage. Nor was it really clear that using your sword wouldn't make them explode. I think I would have understand not to shoot them if they had like a gas sign on them, and didn't have the fuse (which would sadly change their effect, because you are not panicking anymore). But then the lava would have nowhere to come from (if you want it to make some sense, that is). Anyways, I really enjoyed this game, great job! :D
Neat idea! One thing I really like is the polish. I really like the particles, lights, blurred background. However, I am not sure if the tiles fit this style (for example they have thick borders while the other textures do not). Other than that I do not have really any more complaints, it's a really nice polished game, with a cool idea! Great job, you all! :)
Beautiful game! It really suits the theme! The music, I feel, is very fitted for this game. I have a very, very small thing that I would have liked in the game, and that it some audio feedback when you pick up and drop the trash cubes. Otherwise, a very cool game :).
Pretty interesting game. I liked the graphics, and the sounds were okay. I sometimes did not really know who was talking (the text on the bottom). And I am pretty sure I got a crash, or I somehow managed to exit the game. It was in the moment when I had to lay down because I was tired (? if I recall correctly) :). Also, the game is not exactly my style, to be fair, but I can see someone else playing it :). I mean I got pretty far in the game I think, I did not quit after 1 minute. Anyways, good job, y'all! :)
@jern The game closed itself (so no black screen or anything), so I am pretty sure it was a crash :).
Pretty interesting game, good job you all! :) I must say that it took me a pretty long time to figure out that I have to put paths in order for the ants to get to the buildings, so it was not really as clear as I'd hoped :)
Pretty fun game, @tigerj, good job! :) It took a bit to understand what I have to do (I was moving shipments around, trying to stack the ones with the same color, but not moving them to the right place), but I got it in the end. I have, however, a pretty small complaint about the controls. They are a bit fast (when I wanted to move to one tile, I was moving to the one below, and so on), and a bit cluttered - I have pretty big hands, and Arrow keys + right CTRL is totally not going to work for me, at least if I want to be fast. By the way, I am playing on a laptop where the arrow keys are right next to the right CTRL, so this may be the issue :). Also, another small problem I had was that after dropping the shipment in the right spot, it took a while to change its color and I couldn't see it if the cursor was right above it. However, this may be by design :). Anyways, I had fun playing your game, and I especially liked the graphics! :)
This was a pretty interesting game. While in the first levels I did nothing (bought nothing, fought no one myself), I still won, but in the latter ones I had to get a better army. Also, I think I encountered a bug where the sounds just stopped working (I think it was like level 4 or 5). I liked the AI, by the way. It must have taken some time to do it (I think, I never really tried to do anything like what you did). The graphics could have been better, to say the least. Good job, y'all! :)
What a cute game! I really like it :). I do think, however, that the tutorial is too long for such a simple game. Maybe you could make it shorter?
Nice game with great music! One small thing that took me a bit to realize was where to go after I shot everything in the first room. I first tried to go through the 2 rocks because I thought they looked like they'd do something, and only after that I found that I have to go to the side. The reason why I didn't go to the side in the first place was because the floor was different, so maybe making the floor in the connectors the same as the floor in the rooms would make it a bit more clearer. Anyways, this is just a small thing. Great job y'all for making this game! :D
The game seems fun, and I really like the music, but I can't really play it because the UI has some problems. Look at these images and you should see what the problem is. Hopefully you will fix it soon :).

@drskort Oh, right. I did not see that you recommended fullscreen, neither have I thought about making it fullscreen :).
The gameplay is so cool! It is really fun :D. One (really really small) thing that I do not understand Is why the start button is the last button, and not the exit button, as is in pretty much every other game (told you it's a really small thing :) )?
What a cool concept :D. And the graphics are really nice. I saw mentioned here music, but I didn't hear any when I played it... Maybe the game has a problem?
@trevor-hayes Well I played it in the browser. I, too, had problem with music in my game, and it seems to work perfectly when you start the music after the user clicked at list one time on the game. In my case, I made it so music start only during the game, and not during the main menu and it solved this problem for me. Maybe it will work for you too :smile:.
@trevor-hayes Yes, it fixed it :)
Very cute game! I found two small bugs (?) that you may fix pretty easy. I saw that sometimes the the pixel font is not used, but a normal font. Also, the four sliders don't have the same width. And about the gameplay, I thought that when it displayed the share button the game ended, so I... closed the window. Maybe you should to something about it? Also, I didn't click at first (when I closed the game) on the share button to see what it does because I thought it would share it to Twitter. I like the graphics and their pixelly look, but it took me a while to read what's written on the "start" button. :)
@akuirako Sure, here are some screenshots: https://i.imgur.com/s9X0h1N.png , https://i.imgur.com/hnHFOm4.png , https://i.imgur.com/h9dIP6m.png . Maybe that's how you intended it to be, but in the third image you used the pixel font while in the second you did not :).
@akuirako Using Chrome, but I am not sure it matters. My guess is that maybe you don't load the fonts in time? Not sure :)
Cool looking game y'all have there! It is pretty difficult, I have to say. I could hardly destroy any bomb at all, to be fair, because too many were coming at once. Also, I couldn't really figure out a strategy for this game, maybe because I didn't really have the time as I was already attacked by a ton of bombs when the game started. Some progression would have been nice (I think). Anyways, this is a really cool entry, despite my struggle with the bombs :).
It was actually a really fun game. Good job, you all! :) The music was pleasant and the graphics were nice. I did not really like the throwing sound, it seemed a bit loud and maybe out of place. Also, I saw that there were some clipping issues with the tiles (if you moved in some places, you could see very small but noticeable gaps between the tiles). I don't have any complaint other than these :). Simple and innovative game (did not see any game like yours so far).
Graphics and Audio are, IMO, perfect 5 stars! :D I really like them!
Cool game, mate! One really minor thing and pretty easy to fix was the color of the text. Make sure that you set a color that is easily readable. I would have chosen, for example, instead of the black text a brighter color.
Very cool game! This is the first time I see such a mechanic (you have to stay on the screen), and I really like. Also, the music, although simple, is nice. I actually have no complaint about your game, maybe only the fact that the camera is not very smooth, which isn't such a big deal at all :).
Quite innovative game, did not see any like yours so far, good job! :) I actually really liked the music, and the graphics were pretty good too, but the gameplay was not really for me since I like more action games. However, you got me in the mood of the game :).
@jchaplin Thank you! :)
@tiberiusuciu Thanks! This was also my thought about the sound. I will fix it very soon! :) Also, the game was a bit too easy before, like I could easily get to the 10th wave, and I felt it was pretty boring, so I changed some numbers and now it may be too hard. I will tweak with the numbers yet again :). Thanks for the feedback!
@mdacoffee Thanks! I will make the color of text of the current word a bit more contrasted to the other ones. This should do the trick :).
@nam-nguyen Thanks. I will fix this bug as soon as possible. I had this problem before, and I thought I solved it. Thank you again for telling me about it :).
@gurbx Thank you :D. I am pretty good at typing and I wanted it to be pretty challenging for me, but I guess I made it a bit too hard. I mean I hardly surpass wave 5.
@fingamer Thanks!
@paulstraw I myself didn't get to wave 7, but I can see how it can get too fast. I will tweak the formula for speed a bit. And thank you!
@balka Thanks! I too found out I am not that good at typing games :)). But I wanted the game to be challenging, so I think I got it right? :)).
@pinoza Thanks :). I have to agree that I've made the game a bit too hard, I will tweak it in a moment :).
@ryanjavanshir Thanks! :). I, too, thought about adding the WPM but I just didn't have enough time to do it. I mean I coded most of the gameplay in the last 2-3 hours of the jam. If I will ever create a sequel to this game I will make sure to add WPM. :)
@ijzm Thank you! More people told me that they don't really understand how it is related to the theme, so I tried my best to explain it in "The theme" section from this page. I wanted the game to be hard, so I guess I succeeded? :) I actually made the game easier, but it seemed boring (especially considering that I am a pretty good typist), so I changed it back. And yes, it was the Windows sound :)). I didn't really get much time to think about what sounds to choose, and it was the first thing that came to mind :). Thank you again!
@strugglesingamedevelopment Thank you! There will hopefully be a more feature complete sequel to this game, and I will try my best to make it good :).
@superqgs @fullmontis Thanks! :D
@mao Thanks! About the difficulty, I made it that hard considering that there are many techy guys around here, so the chance of them being fast typist is pretty high. Now, you should know that this game is hard even for me, because it doesn't take much to get to a hard wave, and I personally like it this way. It is a hard game for everyone :).
@skippynose2 Thank you! I, too, considered putting it on another sites, so I may do it in the near future, after I add more features to it :). Thank you again!
@kelda Thanks! You can read "The theme" section form this page to understand how it is related to the theme. But I have to agree that it is not very obvious. Also, there is a bar at the bottom that represents a score multiplier. If you have a streak of correct words written, the score multiplier will be higher. That's one way I made accuracy important :)
@vivek-sharma20 Thank you! Yes, I agree that the menu could have been better. It was actually in the plan, as was highscore, but I sadly did not have the time to implement all of this :). Thank you again!
@undefinist Thanks :). I'd say that if you got to wave 8 you are a a very good typist. I myself struggle to get there :).
@anudin Thank you a lot for your very descriptive feedback! :) One thing that I did not really understand is your problem with typing on the wrong crate (not grate, by the way :) ). This shouldn't really happen because on screen there are no two words that start with the same letter at any time, so this shouldn't really be a problem. If that's not what you meant, I'd like if you could explain it to me again. Thanks! :D
@anudin Oh, one thing I could add in the future is to remove the selected word when you press backspace. This should do it, right? :)
@anudin I already have something alike implemented (crates closer to the center have the text above them yellow, then red). I will try your idea too, but I fear it may clutter the screen :). Thanks!
@starven @devwithmartinus @bibilega @derek-volker @ignf @sam-machell @nerzal @nufflee @starhacker Thank you all for your kind words and for the valuable feedback you gave me :).
@slojanko Thnaks! Yeah, I did not really got the theme right. You can see why I think the game is a bit relevant to it in "The theme" section, but yeah, clearly, since I have to explain it, it doesn't really fit that well :).
Very nice and polished game! I like the fact that it automatically shoots, because that's what you would do anyways if you would have to shoot manually, just spamming the click button. Also, the graphics style looks great and I feel it would be a great suit for a mobile game.
I initially downloaded something called Disk-O from the link you gave us. Maybe consider putting the game elsewhere? For example on itch.io :)
I really enjoyed playing this game. I like the mix with a MMORPG (well, that's how I see it, based on the life points, types of attacks and bonuses you can get) :).
Funny game idea! I love the graphics and the audio, you really did a great job with them. Now a few things about the gameplay. The tutorial maybe shouldn't show every time you play the game. I kinda forgot at first what object gived me how much (soda, brokoli, yogurt). I don't know if this would actually look nice, but you could have drawn a circle around each object, with a color of a different intensity (darker meaning less fart bars and lighter meaning more fart bars). Again, this may or may not look nice in the actual game. And that's pretty much it. I found a small small bug, that you could fix easily: the music is not looping.
Really nice game! :) I really like the idea of not restarting the game if the player dies, since this way, everyone can experience the entire game, without having the stress of dying. The graphics and audio were really great too. I also like the level of polish in this game (for example the text). A thing I did not exactly understand is whether you had to dodge all the bullets (the small ones)? I mean it seems pretty hard and it seemed to me that they don't take a lot of health. Anyways, I enjoyed this game. Good job for making it! :D
This was pretty fun, to be honest :). I found the sounds a bit creepy, but maybe this is because it's kinda late here :)). Anyways, this is a nice entry, good job!
Really interesting concept, I must say :). Good job!
Nice game! A small thing I feel is missing is some hotkeys, for example for the next turn. Anyways, this is just a small thing Good job for making the game! :D
Nice balancing game! The visuals were great.
Pretty cool game :). My total was ... well, about -20k if I recall correctly, but maybe the problem was that I hired too many red ones :))
A very interesting concept, I must say! :) And by interesting I mean that I really like it. One small thing that I did not understand was what were those gold things, but maybe I did not complete enough of the game to understand. Other than that, I really, really liked your game! It reminds me of a game called Pixel Dungeon, which I guess you know?
Nice little game! What really stood out to me is the voice acting, It was really cool. However, the game has a fairly slow start since you have to wait for the letter to be read out loud. I did understand what the game was about, so I guess it worked :). Anyways, good job for making the game! :D
Interesting game! :) The visuals were really cool, I must say, and the game is fun :). Good job for making the game! :D
Great visuals! The audio is a bit unusual, but fitting for your game :). One issue I had was that I wasn't really that accurate with my snowballs, since it seems like your player always throws snowballs at a fixed distance, so this made the game a bit harder for me. Good job for making the game! :D
Yup, it is a pretty hard game. But I can see how it can be fun if it was a bit easier :)
@doug-graham Thank you! :) Yeah, I'd say that this game isn't really ideal for the track pad since you need some precision. I tried to zoom out, but textures started to look a bit bad, and I had some problems with the text scaling too, and I did not have the time to solve them, sadly. But yeah, it would have been better to zoom out, I agree. Also, the level you mentioned says "This level isn't impossible" :)) . So maybe I should change the text, because it seems like it can be misunderstood. Thank you again for playing my game! :D
@sol-roo Thank you! I agree, the controls aren't really that good, but I feared that if I zoomed out too much, then it would have been too hard to aim, but I guess it would have been a better sacrifice than the way it is now :)
@gaming-night Thanks for playing my game :D. Since the camera controls isn't that great, I will work on it and hopefully update the game pretty soon. And about the theme, I did not have time to make enough levels using the popping mechanic (the other levels were meant to be more introducing). Thank you again! :)
@amigopadilha Thank you! :)
@gebowunjo Thanks! :D I will try to make a post-jam update pretty soon regarding the camera, since it seems like a fairly game-breaking problem.
@gordy Thank you for your feedback :). If this makes it into a full game I will definitely add a level editor.
@jkniest Thanks you :)
@ragtagradical Thanks! The fans push the balloons in any direction (360). I should have added some visuals to indicate that :).
@elfunck , @arnau , @publicidadeba , thank you all! :)
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and for playing my game! :)
Good job for your first Ludum Dare! :) The gameplay was actually fairly fun, but I must say that the game could have been more polished, things like the text that could have been capitalized and more correct, or the colors that don't exactly match, or you could have used a font instead of hand-drawing. It is a good start, I must say, but I felt like you needed some constructive feedback :)
Nice little game! :) My high score was 730, but this is most likely because I am playing on a TrackPoint. The music really helped with the pace of the game, and I liked it too. A small problem would be that, at first, I pressed the play button, without reading the tutorial, so I did not understand at first what I had to do. Maybe in the future you could integrate the tutorial in the gameplay, without making a special button? I don't know. Anyways, good job for making the game! :D
:)) Pretty funny game, I liked it!
Pretty cool graphics, I liked them! :)
Wow, great visuals! I am not exactly a fan of clicking games, but I just kept going because I was interested in seeing what monsters come next. Also, the music is really complementing the pace of the game. Good job for making this game, I really enjoyed it! :D
Fun game! :) The music is a good choice and complements the gameplay. I would have liked some better controls, to be fair (maybe move with WASD, and not only with WS), but it worked in the end. Good job for the game! :D
