First level is not a good way of introducing ropes, for me (and for others it seems) people were trying to jump over, the rope stopped the upward momentum and they and I died. A lot. After that hickup the game is good, the red clouds in the background makes the screen to busy but I like how fast you can move, great job :D
Shame you started sunday afternoon, could have been really cool if you had all the time. I actually like it. Its simple but works :)
Hi, nice first game. Tried it a bunch of times, but cannot seem to get more than 20 coins (I keep dying). The fps mode is super difficult. Cool way to make a hard mode. I personally would love to get more feedback from everything. When the canon balls hits the player, the player should feel it. More base in the sound effect and a bit of screen shake would make this game super cool :D Nice work
That was a really good game, the gui looks terrible but the rest of the game looks really good. Great job!
Haha, I love that the games has 12 numbers available for score. Makes you feel even worse when you loose with 20000 points ;) After you loose the first ball, the top minigame becomes absolutely worthless though, wish that were not the case. Really like the idea and the art. (The bottom mini games is the best btw) Great work!!!
I also won, thats nice. Having to think which upgrades are worth the time. Wish it was easier to get rid of them. Takes too long. Also the collision for the large enemies should only be where there feat collides with the floor, not all the way up to their head.
Best strategy (according to me): Lots of damage 2 (or 3 speed) 1 triple blast. Lead them to one corner, run to the opposite. Blast them, repeat

Nice, half of my comments on this ludum dare has been saying to people that they need screenshake. You definitely nailed that one. I think the controlls need a lot of work. You can only short straightforward and that is where the enemies are coming from. This resultet in me having to circle the enemies 4-5 times. Then back and shoot and repeat. It would make more sense if you shoot backwards. Or even better to the sides, because then you would circle the enemies and shoot them at the same time. (That would be f**king awesome). Love both the artstyle, music and JW-inspired theme. Keep working on it!
The mechanics are not well communicated, thought the respawn was bugged out. Leading one player not able to play at all. Then when you throw your sword you sometimes kill yourself (if you have friendly fire, I know you are supposed to hit others of the same team). A shame because I really liked how it felt to move, the grass cutting animation is beautiful and the song gives it a nice fast mood.
Controller was a bit weird also, kept going right or left even we let go. Maybe add some dead-zone or something
Was really funny though, having an armie of players bettling out, swords flying everywhere, highly recommend :D
Beautiful game! Was a bit confused in the beginning but eventually through the color coding I figured it out. Cool game :)
That was nice, played for way longer than I thought. I personally had no problems with busy colors. Its way more fun if you deliberatly take damage until you are at one. Gets way more tense. Got to 13000 points in that mode :D

There are a few movement issues in your game, if you fix them I think this could be a neat game: You should maybe make the character slow down instead of stopping immediately. Also the character turns really weirdly when rotating near a wall. Maybe give the turning more power when close to a wall.
Cool game, punching seems weird. There is no feedback at all. Also I could not get my character to move when playing with an xbox-controller. Really funny game though, love the pirates soring down with doves on their heads :D
Hehe, I died to a couple of times in the beginning but that is a cool way to learn :D Good game, needs a bit of screen shake but so does every game. The boss is super hard, took a good few tries to beat.
Haha, my bad. I am a bit of a screenshake-junkie (see my entry for an example). I played it again and yes you do have some screen shake :D
This games wants sounds. More levels are needed (Or make the first one harder) but it is a neat idea :D
I almost missed the idea though since I beat the boss without taking damage, its way cooler to get hit a couple of times and then attack the boss from all sides :D
I did not think it was heavy handed at all. Played it many times over and still feel I do not fully understand the mechanics (I picked up every battery without shooting everything because I was saving it for the big clump at the end but then I could not shoot for some reason, ah well It worked next playthrough so maybe it was a bug). I think people are different and you communicated just enough so many can understand. Great job!

Neat idea, a bit annoying with the pits where you have to fall down without seeing, landing in spikes and having to restart it all is not fun. Also the color-shift keys feels sort of random. z = blue, e = green ? Either choose 1,2,3,4 as the keys (or wasd) or choose the first letters in the names g = green, b = blue. The running felt great though :D
Good game, this game does not really need lifes though. (The problem solves it self because when you resurrect at a checkpoint you only get one life. Nice game, had a really cool moment where everything was white and I stod on a moving platform and had to remember the timing of the platform to know when to jump :D Great game
A bit confusing actually, did not understand why I did. Had something to do with the guns exploding from holding them too long. Are you suppose to shoot away all the bullets for that not to happen or??
Very good! A tip to everyone having problem with the "Dance Dance Revolution"-part, you only need to tap. Not go through the wall. Boosted my score a lot when I realized that. Great layering of Music :D
You should have let the player start with more than one arrow, maybe three? That way the player can more easily figure out how to earn arrows. I had the same problem as Xynal did until I figured out that you have to hit the first arrow. After that hickup the game is fantastic! I love managing arrows vs speed. A cool thing would be if right button shoot all the arrows, sort of shotgun style, then it would be a cool dual mechanic thing where it is both: a) A good way of getting rid of a low of arrows b) A cool way of defeating a lot of enemies
Sort of a panic button. Anyways, great job. Managed to live to about 2 minutes :D

@le-slo 305, thats the record, yeah the ghost are awesome. You can get super high scores by almost building 3by3 if there are not glitches there, did you do something like that :slight_smile:

You can make the planet happy again by replacing the big houses with the smallest farm, I strongly recommend doing that and then ketting the game run in the background all happy and content

The wall just shoots you out, felt ok after a while but the point where it is introduced it feels terrible (and it is a pretty unforgivable place where it does this). When introducing a new mechanic it is often good to show the strength of the mechanic. So if the first place you wall-jumped you needed that shooting wall-jump thing I think people would have enjoyed it more. Nice art style btw

Ah cool, orbiting code is actually pretty easy (and you can just skip collision detection between two things thats already is in orbit).
Code for the orbit is something like
angle += speedOfSatellite; //(in radians or degrees)
x = planetCenterX + cos(angle) \* distance_to_planet;
y = planetCenterY + sin(angle) \* distance_to_planet;
(I am telling you this because I hope you continue on the game :smile:)

Nice idea, seems like the concept could be more thoroughly exlpored. Some more puzzly ideas where the order matters. I really liked one level though which was really hard until I realized I only needed to get one of the three keys. Good job :)
