LD23 — Tiny World

Tiny Island by Zathnic 2012-04-24T19:44:00

And I thought I'd made the levels too easy xD But well, I've played games like this so often that these levels are a piece of cake for me :) You have to try a little harder, its definitely possible without any special tricks!

Thanks for the comments, btw :)

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Game of Roots by BubuIIC 2014-05-13T13:40:00

I managed to reach a depth level of 1755 by using only one root and collecting as many stone crushers and energy on the way as possible ;) Not sure if that's how it's intended, but you can really abuse the fact that the game always generates at least one passable path on deeper levels if you have enough energy left!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

The Two-Dimensional Universe by Zathnic 2014-08-27T14:38:00

Hey, thanks for being the first person to comment on my game without me having rated any other games first! :) I needed a rest after the massive coding in the three days, my head felt really weird at times and I had trouble getting through school (even had to miss some classes); overall I can say that I'm glad I went through this experience once, but I don't think I'm ever going to attempt something this big in such a short time again.

About the thing with the checkpoints, this idea did come up for me somewhere during the developing, but since I thought the game wasn't too hard, and because I wanted to finish, I decided against it. You're right, I also saw it as part of the design, because the game is about reaching as high a height as possible, and checkpoints would give you a head start. But now that I think about it, the first area of the game (until you reach the second world) is rather easy, more of a "get used to the mechanics" area, and having to repeat that is kinda like having to repeat the tutorial every time.

So actually, I think I'm going to do a little post-mortem version where there's a single checkpoint right at the top surface of the first new world you reach (at height 316). It shouldn't be much work, but I still need a break from coding, so I'm probably going to do it during the weekend. I don't think the game needs more checkpoints than that, though - for the reason I mentioned, it's part of the game's mechanics, but also because the "beachy" world has so many different paths to take that this place would be pretty much the perfect starting position.

So, thanks for making me aware of that thing! For new players, right now I can recommend that if a path looks to difficult for you, try turning back and searching for another one, because some ways are easier than others.

The Two-Dimensional Universe by Zathnic 2014-08-31T12:00:00

@4xisblack Thanks! You should take a look at the game Knytt Underground by Nifflas, I think you'd enjoy it :)

@all Thanks for the comments so far, glad you're enjoying it! I may think about developing this idea further, but that's something for the future, right now I'm just glad I got this thing done. :P

@Razoric Wow, thanks! :) Maybe some day...

The Amazed Rogue by UntitledQ 2014-08-31T12:23:00

I like games in which you play as a ball! This was quite nice, reminded me a bit of the game iRoll (which I'm the only person on the entire planet to know). Would be more challenging of course if the enemies moved in some way, but it was a fun maze nonetheless.

The Unfortunate Potato by Longarmx 2014-08-30T17:04:00

Yep, puzzle mechanics like this are always nice! The level design in this was quite well done, and the game feels relaxing with no music in the background. No real complaints, just a nice short little entry.

Parallel Worlds by jprogman 2014-08-31T12:47:00

The music of art style in this reminds me of Rat Maze! Not really my style, but interesting. The second world could have used a third mechanic, maybe automatically moving up and down and bouncing off the walls, only being able to steer left and right like in Crillion?

Collision by Alphish 2014-08-30T18:53:00

I think it's quite awesome! You managed to combine a lot of things for 48 hours (as in there's something for every category of the voting)! I would have played until the end, but it got just a little to repetitive after some time, but that's understandable. The switching of areas was quite challenging, I had to think which areas I didn't go to yet. Nice work! :)

The Long way around by Nanocentury 2014-08-30T16:45:00

I like the idea! The controls were a little hard to understand, but once I got them, it felt like a good mechanic to build mazes with. The game would be more challenging if there was a limited number of worlds you could switch to, because you can keep switching until you reach a world that has enough grass tiles next to you.

Brake by zzzapt 2014-08-31T07:17:00

Glass Heart Empire by Steven Colling 2014-08-31T13:29:00

Wow, this is awesome! I love the sense of progression, especially with the number of turns, and the graphics are great too. I've never been able to get into turn-based games much, but somehow this one has a really cool feel to it!

Glass Heart Empire by Steven Colling 2014-08-31T13:31:00

It would be nice if the game was saved, though...

LD33 — You are the Monster

Dragon Quest by Zathnic 2015-08-26T21:26:00

About the theme: I agree that this game doesn't fit the theme very well, that's because I originally planned to give the game a "raid people for treasure" kind of feel, something like this: Dragons in the starting cave aren't actually aggressive, they live alongside each other and you may interact with them by asking them for food, or gift them food making it less likely for them to turn against you, or asking them to train your skills on them. Some of the dragons might become "traitors" and try to kill you, but mostly the cave would be harmless. Then you would raid out into the world trying to gather food and gemstones, and you might kill tens of people just trying to get a single ruby, making you quite the "monster" I didn't have time for this and went into a different direction with the game.

I actually liked the idea of having actions only accessible from the chatbar that you first need to open. I haven't played the "old" Tibia but I know that you had no hotkeys for potions or runes and you had to master your mouse skills to survive, an idea that I find quite fascinating. This reminds me of that: You cannot move when you have the actions opened, so you need to practise selecting the right action and closing the bar again quickly if you don't want to get hit too much. If I remade the game, I would think about adding hotkeys or a similar system though.

@dancingmad: True! I increased the strength of only the player a bit, not that much because the training aspect of this game is important, but it should be quite noticeable in the beginning.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Lawnmower Puzzle by Zathnic 2015-12-15T22:32:00

@Aglavra and murlsousa: I just checked some settings and saw that I had set my compilance level to Java version 1.7, but version 1.8 of the Java Runtime Environment activated. That MIGHT be the reason. I re-uploaded the game after changing it, give it another try...

Lawnmower Puzzle by Zathnic 2015-12-15T22:53:00

@UntitledQ: Ha! Seems like I was right about the error!
About the water: I thought it was good to add depth to the gameplay aside from just losing seeds when hitting worms, I agree it's harsh, but I payed attention to designing the levels (it's only really in level 2) so that you would always have enough time to react when there is water nearby. In level 1 I made a mistake, there's one spot where you can easily end up in water if you don't watch out, but aside from that I think it's fine.

@simon.parzer I agree the controls are not that intuitive, but I do think you can get used to them with a bit of practice (which is probably too much to ask for a simple LD game). I'd always keep the speed at the lowest unless there's an easy situation where you want to get through fast. It helps to, after hitting a tile, directly look for the next one where you'll have a direction to choose, check if you want to move left or right, and press the button (red arrow = left, green arrow = right) long before you come close to that tile.

Jungle Climb by squirrelbot 2015-12-18T20:06:00

You can gain an infinite score by climbing on the edge of the wall ;)

test by ddr2 2015-12-15T23:58:00

Omg, this is awesome!! The simplicity and the possibility for sublte player interactions... it kinda reminds me of Agar.io despite having completely different gameplay. Once I played it normally once I decided to try something different. This is what I managed to draw before someone came along destroying my work xD

Really nice! I liked the level design and overall feel of the game.

Legend of the Mountain by Zathnic 2017-05-03T00:08:32Z

@sorlok @djfariel There's sort of an orb counter at the peak of the mountain, at least if you haven't already collected enough orbs once you get there. Perhaps you didn't go there?^^

Legend of the Mountain by Zathnic 2017-05-03T14:22:32Z

@MrChippy Did you extract the folder? Do you have Java version 7 or higher?

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Fuurbal by Zathnic 2017-12-14T20:54:02Z

@piscythe Okay, I was able to reproduce this and I'm pretty sure I fixed all the performance-related issues. Maybe give it another try if you want :)

Smack`Em! by mess110 2017-12-13T21:20:59Z

This is really fun, but the difficulty should probably keep increasing slightly over time (or a different mode where there's no cap on it). After like 10 attempts I could just keep going indefinitely without my time ever running out. Got a score of 5050 and had 200 seconds left on the timer near the end :P

LD45 — Start with nothing

Private Universe by Zathnic 2019-10-08T23:11:07Z

@vectorwolf Can you try this alternate build of the game? http://www.mediafire.com/file/2nf8lc0pxgl59uo/Private_Universe_Alternate.rar/file

If that doesn't work, I don't think I can fix the issue though.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Slitherflip by Zathnic 2020-10-10T01:04:23Z

@bentglasstube Should have remembered to fix that, since I ran into that exact same issue last LD. I updated the link.

I fixed it a bit differently than last time, though, since I wanted to test something. Can you let me know if it still works?

SnowTrip by GlacierEclipse 2020-10-12T21:31:36Z

I like how you can aim for the walls to negate fall damage, that's a cool mechanic. Would have been nice if you got more points for upgrades after each level and the levels then extended further and further downwards, to add a sense of progression.

This reminds me of an old game from LD29, [Gravity](http://web.archive.org/web/20190624134327/http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=3933).

Infinite Marbleworks by ryusui 2020-10-10T19:43:16Z

Interesting way to add depth with the black space that appears when you move around.

Feels maybe a bit bleak with the lack of any sound and the one-color background, but it's still fun to move around as the marble. Having to go around multiple times can also make you view the levels a bit like a race track.

Groundhog Garden by svyatozar 2020-10-11T20:22:06Z

Sadly I could not find any marks on the map, even though it said there was another player online. Even after I reloaded the page and started over from level 1, I still could not see any of the marks I left on my previous playthrough.

I enjoyed solving the mazes, though. I quickly figured out a way to leave markings so that the correct path ended up being highlighted even on my first walkthrough, so the second time you have to go through the levels started feeling a bit redundant after that.

I did spot another player on my final page refresh. They were just standing there, so not sure if that was actually just a leftover from my own playthrough. I did leave them a little "hi" message out of marks in case they were a real player, though :)

Edit: Just read the marks were only supposed to be visible when there's another player in range. That's okay, however I feel it would be more interesting if they stayed around for, say, 24 hours. Would add a whole new element of messing with people - once the right path has been marked, people could try to "outdo" each other with the amount of marks, one side trying to mislead the player and another trying to reemphasize the right path ;)

Beyond Death by Trypants 2020-10-13T02:11:01Z

Very impressive creating not only a world this detailed, but then also four different variations of it! The music is, of course, perfect for setting the mood, too.

I first thought it would be nice if you could turn the camera, but then I came to see it as an interesting part of the challenge. The only place where it felt a little unfair was the flamethrower shortly before the totem at the teleporter. I don't see how you could have seen that one coming.

I went the path over the spikes first, and got the two totems there, so I was surprised when I saw that the path over the river led straight to the third totem and it was very easy to get. I would have maybe added a little more of a challenge there, perhaps a maze made out of spikes. That path is probably meant to be the more beginner-friendly one, but as long as the spikes are spaced out enough, I don't think it would hurt.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Watery Crave by Zathnic 2021-04-29T02:39:45Z

@smiley I just googled it and it looks like this might be an easy fix. I uploaded a new version, try again and see if it works now.

Watery Crave by Zathnic 2021-04-29T19:47:14Z

@sneakylemon Looks like I actually forgot to use delta time. I fixed it and updated the link, can you try again and see if it works better now?

Watery Crave by Zathnic 2021-04-30T00:55:33Z

@sneakylemon I was able to reproduce that small jumping and I fixed it by limiting the fps to 60. I seem to have introduced a bit of stuttering that way somehow, but it always went away for me after a moment (and 60Hz monitors still use the old solution) so I hope it's not too noticeable. I hope everything works now...

Watery Crave by Zathnic 2021-05-10T15:36:54Z

@ausstein Sorry about that. Do you have a monitor with a high refresh rate by any chance? I think it might have something to do with that. I made a small adjustment which I think should fix the issue (even if the refresh rate isn't the problem, it still might fix it). Can you download again and see if it works now?

Thanks for the feedback so far, glad you at least liked the concept, even if there wasn't much to say about the gameplay so far. The dissonant flute is actually intentional, but I can understand not everyone liking it :P

Spring Tale by Random-storykeeper 2021-04-28T20:42:34Z

This game has a very nice presentation and mood. The mechanics were simple but well executed and even though I've seen this type of game before, I don't think I've seen the jumping mechanic going along with it; that added a good bit of depth.

In one level, I found a bug where you could jump over the surrounding walls and cheese it, I think it was the second level that had enemies in it. Other than that I can't think of any real flaws, so good job!

depthscraper by lexi 2021-04-29T03:10:47Z

Nice innovative puzzle mechanic! I also like how cleanly the game is integrated into the itch.io webpage. I wonder if there would be potential to expand this with multiple game modes, for example a hard mode with more than four columns or maybe even a Tetris-inspired mode.

dyppan by Guilherme Oliveira 2021-05-08T02:08:01Z

Fun concept! I like the way the character moves, and how you can interact with everything by walking. It stopped being challenging pretty quickly though, once I got some stat points and items. Would have been nice if the enemies got stronger the deeper you went.

Duggy by neowhoru 2021-04-28T15:34:08Z

Wow, that pickaxe cuts through the dirt like butter, and you can also shoot it very fast. This makes the gameplay fast-paced and fun, however I would consider adding some more challenge, like enemies turning or more treasure chests spawning, considering how powerful the character is.

The game seemed to get a bit buggy as I reached level 3. I killed all enemies I could find, but I couldn't advance to the next level. Even after I dug up every dirt block, nothing happened. Treasure chests also didn't always spawn enemies after a few seconds (I think this problem was only in level 3 as well, though I don't fully remember).

Still, this is a fun game with quite a bit of potential for expanding it.

AeroCat by W0oly 2021-05-12T18:30:09Z

Wow, surprising how a simple mechanic with two buttons can have so much depth! You can either play it safe, or go fast and become a master at dodging. Music and visuals are great, too. A very nice entry overall!

DeepO by Rodrysson 2021-05-07T00:34:41Z

Heh, the mechanic with the air bubbles that you have to reach before you run out of air is quite similar to what I did in my own entry, but the rest of the mechanics are very different. Really fun and unique, the continued but limited dashing through the air (well, water) and the pushing away enemies by dashing in the opposite direction especially stood out to me.

You managed to create a really nice mood with the squeaky sound effect and the music. One small note though, you should probably opt out of the audio category since you used third party music. You'll have to send an email to Mike Kasprzak since you can't change this yourself after the fact.

DeepO by Rodrysson 2021-05-07T13:20:40Z

@alejandrodecea Yeah, but the rules say you have to opt out of a category if you use third party assets. There isn't really a good way in the current system to distinguish between people who made some of the audio assets themselves and people who made none.

I actually made the same mistake this LD, that's how I know this is how it works for sure. I made music myself, but used 3rd party sound effects, and at first I didn't opt out of audio. After someone notified me in a comment, I sent an email to Mike to clear things up, and he removed my audio ratings - I also made the suggestion that I could add a note in the description that people should only consider the music when rating audio. That didn't seem to be okay.

I could imagine that if you made a bunch of music, but just used like a single small 3rd party sound effect, as well as entered the Jam where the rules are a bit more relaxed, that there could be a gray area. But music is kind of a bigger deal in a lot of jam games, and this is definitely true for your game as well.

So, I'm quite certain that you should be opting out of audio, but if you're still unsure, you could just ask it to Mike as a question, rather than requesting outright for him to remove the ratings.

You Know The Drill by Maksime 2021-05-03T02:02:07Z

I always like these kinds of upgrade systems in LD games, they certainly keep me playing for a bit longer ;) The sound design is also well done, with the changes in the music when you dig deeper or lose oxygen.

Since according to the story you visit a new planet each time, it would have been nice to have a better sky background that maybe changes its color scheme each time you warp down, for variety.

Soaring Under by jitspoe 2021-04-28T21:02:38Z

Like others have mentioned, the flight mechanics are quite hard to get a hang of; I noticed myself holding forward most of the time and not really using the left, right and down keys since I felt I was more in control that way. With enough time, I'm sure you could master it and it would be a really interesting challenge to go for the collectibles.

My suggestion would be adding an easier difficulty mode where you don't instantly lose when you strafe a wall, could make it easier to gain practice when you can more freely and for a longer time just fly around and learn from your mistakes.

The atmosphere was of course very beautiful, there's something quite soothing about slowly drifting down into each new area.

Boring in the deep by WilhelmStein 2021-05-03T01:59:59Z

I like this kind of movement mechanic in a limited arc since I did something similar in an old LD years ago. It's also a nice touch how the view distance increases when you slow down.

I did die three or four times in a row at the beginning of the stone area, so maybe that turn is too sharp, though I may also have been going a bit too fast.

I really like the mood of the third area! The art and music there give it a really menacing vibe.

Deep Sea Mining by Ausstein 2021-05-09T00:01:42Z

Great graphics, a lot of variety for a game jam! I love the wavey look of the water, never seen something quite like that before.

I found the difficulty balance surprisingly good, the game felt challenging from beginning to end. The times I died felt like a genuine setback, making it harder to progress since you always need to go a little deeper to find new crystal veins, but still always doable.

It's a little jarring how the gun quickly changes position when you turn, though I'm not sure there's a good solution since it would be weird if the submarine wouldn't flip and was upside down in one direction. Maybe a button to decide when to flip it yourself?

Overall a very complete, polished entry, good job!

6 Feet Under by theStoff 2021-05-04T01:19:02Z

The main mechanic is really cool, not being able to change direction midair and having to set the right angle when launching makes for an interesting challenge. I felt like I was improving a lot while playing, goes to show how well the mechanics work and can be learned quickly despite being unique. I'm also impressed by how many levels there are!

Run Ant Run by Ryano 2021-05-08T03:09:15Z

Wow, super unique concept! Very well executed, it gets very exciting when the game gets fast to try and stay ahead of the poison. I never really went into the longer passages though, maybe there should be a few more ants in there to make them more rewarding?

20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY by Arivenzys 2021-05-04T01:15:30Z

Love how much life each of the different planet types has, with different music, descriptions, great voice acting, a creative design - there really isn't much more you could have done to bring these planets to life. The gameplay is maybe a bit simplistic, but still works well and I understand it would have been difficult to add more depth and complexity to it in the span of the jam. Overall it feels very polished, like a complete package, quite impressive!

Swab the Deck! by dans17 2021-05-12T20:23:06Z

Fun game! It was quite challenging until I realized how powerful energy gain in combination with the healing card is. At that point, I didn't feel the need to buy any of the more expensive cards anymore and it was rather easy to make it to the end. Maybe that could be balanced a little better. But you managed to make quite an intricate game here for a game jam, and it's interesting how everything is in real time so you have to make decisions quickly to get ahead of the enemy.

Just keep sinking by MinThaMie 2021-05-08T02:42:58Z

Good presentation, lots of attention to detail! Gameplay was a bit too simple imo, maybe would have been better if you could speed up the submarine by holding down the mouse, or something like that.

River, Carry Me Away by Noire 2021-05-04T01:13:33Z

Best mood I've seen so far! The gameplay is very simple, but doesn't really feel lacking because everything feels so much like a complete experience. The story is also interesting to observe - it takes a while to understand what is going on because of the silhouettey style and lack of text, and it feels like the ending is left open to interpretation, which makes it interesting to think about.

Selkö by Doot 2021-05-04T01:17:08Z

Really interesting idea to simply control a flashlight and nothing else, wish there had been a few more puzzles to explore the idea further. Didn't see the part with the whale coming, that was pretty funny :)

Awakening by 8BitCharlie 2021-04-28T14:44:31Z

It took me a while to realize that the bar at the top right represented my health and that there was fall damage. I think it were the different colors that threw me off - you sort of expect the health bar in games to always be the same color, or to go from green to red. I thought the colors had some sort of deeper meaning.

It's interesting to see a game where you can only move left and right and the only way is downwards. This reminds me very much of the game Roll by Nifflas. Though I didn't really understand what the point of the really long falls was, starting from love and joy.

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-04T01:12:31Z

This was quite an immersive experience, I enjoyed the music and how realistic and interconnected the house feels! I don't think it fits the theme that well, you don't really go "deeper" into a house I don't think. A way to advance the text faster would also be nice, but other than those nitpicks, this is a great, polished entry!

Zepog by Archock34 2021-05-07T02:05:28Z

Wow, what a beautiful mood. I love the music, and how smooth the frog feels to control. I can see a lot of potential for expanding on this, for example by also having sections where the frog leaves the water and you can jump around.

I first wanted to make a game about a frog myself, but then I remembered I can't animate. Having a really simple sprite like this is actually a good solution, I should probably remember that for future LDs ;)

Snake Match by Recher 2021-05-07T01:29:14Z

Very nice idea, would have been a perfect fit for the Combine 2 Incompatible Genres theme. The graphics are simple but charming. Would have liked more of an incentive to match the blocks, like gaining score on top of XP, or perhaps the maximum length of the snake could be shorter but matching fruits would reduce the snake's length at the end?

Marty and the Eldritch Horror by Game Endeavor 2021-04-28T15:05:16Z

I really like how fast-paced the movement is, makes it a lot of fun to play. The chase sequence also was a good fit because of this. I was kind of sad when it was over after that already.

As for criticism, some sort of effect when hitting the spikes would be nice, even if it was just a sound. Also, there seems to be a bug where you can't dig down when you're holding left or right against a wall.

GRIMM by Malfeasance 2021-05-12T17:57:42Z

Simple but fun. I like how the sections are randomly generated so you can't just remember where the spikes are. Sometimes you can see the ground a little too late so you have to jump blindly; also some sound effects for the player would have been nice.

Asterisk by Crychair 2021-05-03T02:04:51Z

Really catchy music, and in combination with the voice acting it feels very professional! The gameplay is also fun, I especially like how fast-paced it is. I'm not entirely sure about being able to spam the sonar, although adding a cooldown could also hinder the game's flow. Maybe add a secondary powerup and they each have cooldowns so you have to switch between them? Idk, just an idea.

Don't Pop Descent by HuskyLover269 2021-04-28T20:27:38Z

Nice, challenging gameplay with the bullet evasion! I'm assuming there isn't an ending to the second level, or maybe I was just blind. I didn't feel like the difficulty ramped up much too quickly, since I think bullet hell games are generally more on the difficult side.

Mini Miner by Deepak kr 2021-04-28T20:35:59Z

Fun, basic platformer. The mining is a bit rough around the edges, sometimes it seems like some blocks to the side don't want to get mined. Maybe the game could also be improved if the pickaxe would continuously swing when you hold down the button.

How Deep is Your Love by Bruno Cafe 2021-05-11T20:45:40Z

Simple but fun gameplay! The enemy variety was nice, as well as the animation of the main character. It was quite short, and maybe also too easy since I didn't die once in three playthroughs. But you did well to tell a nice little story in this short timespan.

Vegetales - Panic at the Greenhouse by toilari 2023-01-12T01:59:32Z

Nice looking game! The part where you had to lure the flies to the frog and the indicators for the shovels when they're about to hit were cool touches. I died in the same moment I defeated the boss and got teleported back, but it still counted, so that was a bit confusing.

Rollin' by Spaint 2023-01-13T21:59:48Z

Beautiful environments and great controls! It's a bit unfortunate how easy it is to clip through the ground or get stuck inside objects by hitting them at high speeds, but other than that I have no complaints!

Grave Harvest by Nartyna 2023-01-17T23:25:09Z

Nice graphics and beautiful mood! Score could be made a little more meaningful by not having the game end before the timer runs out even if you grew the largest pumpkin.

Blobby Bridges by Zathnic 2024-10-20T17:23:37Z

@local-minimum You control the main red blob with arrow keys/WASD, switching between colors only happens from level 2 onwards. I was kinda expecting this to be obvious, but I guess I could have communicated it better

Chanterune by Kerdelos 2024-10-15T11:51:49Z

Great atmosphere, I especially liked the game's color scheme. It was cool when the bouncy mushrooms and hanging vines got combined, that made for some really interesting platforming challenges

Crazy Hive by Luk3 2024-10-15T19:08:47Z

Cute, simple game with a nice art style.

Ants Save The Queen by Filip Vannfält 2024-10-17T00:25:37Z

Clever and silly idea, it looks pretty funny how the ants are spreading out! I would have liked to see the progression last a little longer before the boss, perhaps by having several upgrade rooms, and then some larger groups of enemies with maybe some obstacles.

Tinysaurs by v1ris 2024-10-15T21:13:27Z

Pretty unique entry! The camera movement feels a bit awkward, and I'm not sure what the point of directing the dinos to the mounds is when you can just dig them up with the mouse, but it's an interesting playground and the music is nice

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-15T21:50:37Z

Really clever idea and a lot of fun! I feel like hitting the teeth should knock you back a bit to add some more challenge. Also I imagine an endless mode could be interesting for this, where they close in faster over time

Spider That Is Stuck In My Pc When I Launch GMOD with 1000 mods by ThatFirey 2024-10-11T19:31:10Z

Nice variety of mechanics! The movement feels really versatile. Would be cool if those wavering rectangles at the bottom actually rose and you had to outrun them

Exaltation by HellHound 2024-10-12T16:36:16Z

Great art! The robot enemies and spinning wheels were impressive

Mini Beaker by LePeridot 2024-10-16T11:34:38Z

Great visuals and game feel! I love the back and forth of the funny interviews and increasingly frantic gameplay.

Leafling builders by Kotolazer 2024-10-10T23:46:10Z

Very charming and relaxing game, with lots of attention to detail. At first I thought some more platforming would be nice but honestly, the game doesn't even need it since it still feels like a complete package as is!

Tiny Creatures by Akarinn 2024-10-10T23:19:13Z

Beautiful menu graphics! Gameplay felt a bit buggy, and also it progresses quite quickly so it would maybe be good to let the player decide when to trigger each wave, but overall solid design

La Révolution Francheese: Bonamouse by MrBananaz 2024-10-15T20:44:18Z

Art is super clean, and the sliding movement is satisfying!

Critter Gang by lastsecondgames 2024-10-11T19:33:02Z

Coopl implementation of boss battles! The first phase of the peacock fight felt rather long, so it would probably be good to give the player a savepoint after that

BomBom Wash by Overlix 2024-10-16T23:46:44Z

Beautiful and relaxing game! The music is perfect.

Strange New Tides by Indie Game Academy 2024-10-12T17:07:11Z

Interesting world you created! The gameplay could perhaps have had a bit more depth, with the house upgrades having more of a purpose beyond just the final one. But the mood of the game and the music are quite nice

Marble Sky by Zathnic 2025-10-11T01:46:29Z

@coda-highland Godot doesn't support web builds for projects written in C# yet

Happy Cleaning Co. by auxC 2025-10-18T02:46:51Z

Quite satisfying to play around with the vacuum cleaner! I also like how each area was distinct both in terms of look, mechanics and the character's personality.

Hex to the Max by Beebo Studios 2025-10-12T18:58:17Z

Interesting mechanic and a cool vibe! Lots of different tile types you managed to implement. I like how the board reset when it was filled up so you could continue the level with the turns left

Where's my money, Gnomski?!? by CaptainCorgistan 2025-10-12T15:58:21Z

Very charming with the gnome behavior and world design! In the second level it was a little confusing how there was a gap in the gnome's beard ingame, but not on the scroll. But it was enjoyable to just walk around and explore the world even when it took a while to find the right gnome

Skeledaddler! by Catusfelony 2025-10-18T00:15:56Z

Lots of polish in every aspect, and I love how the different bones interact, it's funny and makes perfect sense! Overall feels like a very complete game, impressive for a jam

Gotta Cat 'em All by HolySparks 2025-10-18T00:36:06Z

Cute and cozy vibes, and the music is a pefect fit! I liked the variety of ways that you could interact with the cats. It's a bit short, and it would've been nice being able to enter some of the buildings, but still a solid entry overall

Clawful by Spaint 2025-10-17T00:56:37Z

Very accurate claw physics, and I love the vibe of the cellar you've created. Everything feels very cohesive! And there's even a way to get things unstuck without resetting the machine. Overall it feels like a really complete entry, good job

Call Hector by Pikario 2025-10-17T20:17:50Z

Great unique concept for a puzzle game! All of the minigames were very polished.

Butterfly Gathering by UniOwl 2025-10-15T19:15:37Z

Beautiful and relaxing game! Love the butterfly art and the general vibe. Wish there were more unlocks to spend the money on

WonderBot: A Lofty Return by mortusnegati 2025-10-17T23:25:03Z

Really nice sense of progression! Was satisfying to see how the house cleaned up over time, and being able to fly around with the jetpack upgrade.

The Garbage-Man Of New Trash City by kenevil1 2025-10-17T18:48:43Z

I like how the car controls! It gets quite frantic pretty quick, after a couple minutes it doesn't feel like there's anything you can do to not time out. But still a nice experience

Marble Trouble by mooyett 2025-10-14T01:49:19Z

Feels a bit random with how much the marbles move and you can only really control the first impact. But still fun to watch them bounce around and rack up points. Nice presentation, and a marble that swallows others is a cool idea

Debts & Dragons by Syphorce 2025-10-17T15:45:37Z

Cool art and nice worldbuilding!

MOCO by Mmm1008fm 2025-10-18T03:16:23Z

Beautiful graphics and lighting! I like how you've implemented level selection with the book that lets you choose what challenge to teleport to, and then also rewards you after. The flute mechanic was also cool with the enemies hiding inside objects

Bail-out by kazetheroth 2025-10-17T18:45:23Z

Funny idea! Execution is maybe a bit clunky, I don't think there's a reason to go deeper into the house since the items seem to not get more valuable there. I found out you can crouch by pressing Ctrl, but you can't really make use of that in the web version since Ctrl+W closes the browser tab^^

The Internet Collector by YibiRabbit007 2025-10-18T02:28:31Z

Such an unique concept, done in a way that feels very authentic! The music, UI design and cutscenes together create a great mood. It's quite challenging; took me a while to figure out how to send the right phishing email

Crown Crow by ThDudk 2025-10-12T18:08:26Z

Very tight controls, it was satisfying to evade things especially with the dive mechanic. Wish the map was longer

Violet's Home by l6ria 2025-10-17T19:00:09Z

Very beautiful art and mood! The gameplay parts could have been a bit longer and with a bit more challenge

Kiipu by Zathnic 2026-04-21T23:31:23Z

@raivk I inverted the jump and glide keys, that should hopefully make the controls more intuitive. Jumping is also on the S key since this is heavily inspired by Nifflas' games, and he always puts jump on S

Kiipu by Zathnic 2026-04-24T21:29:35Z

@Xaklor Huh, that's strange, since I did implement coyote time for walljumps so that you can press the direction button first. Maybe it's too short to be noticeable? But those spike jumps work fine for me when pressing jump and left/right at roughly the same time.

The bounce height being reduced is a bug though, it happens when sliding down a wall rather than jumping off or letting go of it.

Kiipu by Zathnic 2026-04-26T17:18:26Z

@cazik21 I added a MacOS version. Never done a Mac export before so I hope this works

Bons Baisers de Roquebrise by Kerdelos 2026-04-28T19:59:04Z

Love the music and overall mood in the day scene, very relaxing! Gameplay was a bit simplistic but the story made up for that. Really impressive how the minimap matches with the outside view

Waiter Waiter by block97 2026-04-25T22:51:13Z

Funny game, especially with all the phone minigames! Impressive amount of variety you managed to add there

Ship Happens by Cambryx 2026-04-28T23:12:44Z

Feels very smooth, and the concept in itself is a very fun idea! It just could use some better difficulty balancing, like adding a speedup button for the beginning and then ramping things up a bit slower

A Short Flight by Rongo Matane 2026-04-28T22:49:47Z

Great visuals, I especially like the water splashes when you take off with the plane! The flight controls are satisfying, but maybe taking off could be a bit quicker. But overall it feels like a complete package with a beautiful mood!

Lit Up! by Fis 2026-04-27T22:12:57Z

Cute simple platformer! The walljumps are satisfying, and the addition of the leaderboard is a great feature!

Below the Light by Beebo Studios 2026-04-26T15:27:10Z

Love the vibe of the lighthouse at night! Switching between the radio frequencies to get hints is a cool way to do puzzles

Wi-Fix It by DaniSerranu 2026-04-24T19:44:49Z

Very tight controls and fun, challenging gameplay!

Cadence of Glob by Orjan 2026-04-24T00:54:25Z

Funny and charming entry! The gameplay to story balance could have been a bit better, but it was still a fun story to follow along

WATERNAUT by MaximeG 2026-04-30T00:18:43Z

This game does have a bit of a weird feel to it with the AI assets, but it is impressive how you put them together, making everything spawn dynamically when you dig out a spot! It did feel like there's not much of a difference between digging at a strong or a weak signal, so the game could use some better balancing here. But overall the foundation of the game is decent, and the music is nice as well

Time is Honey by gryxitl 2026-04-26T21:27:41Z

Felt overwhelming at first, but once it clicked, it became fun to move the mouse around quickly to connect sockets! Perhaps each letter should appear twice, because right now you can just look for the one correct letter and ignore the colors

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-24T14:50:14Z

Cute graphics, but a bit overwhelming with all the different combinations. Maybe the tutorial could start out a bit simpler, like with only controlling a single bird at first. Still a nice, charming entry!

Guiding Signal by Kevin Meissner 2026-04-26T13:52:41Z

Beautiful cozy atmosphere! Redirecting the ships with signal towers is a fun idea

Cableman [a rhythm game] by rucksack 2026-04-29T22:46:43Z

Very satisfying rhythm game! The music is catchy and works super well with the mechanics, making the game intuitive and easy to get into. The difficulty curve is smooth as well. Overall a great entry, very fun!

Blip&Dig by ArtemGet 2026-04-26T17:03:33Z

Very addictive idle game with a nice setting! The crabs are cute

To walk on Strange Roads? by alyd asmar 2026-04-24T17:02:35Z

The dictionary mechanic isn't for me, but the way the graphics and audio work together to create this unique alien atmosphere is very nice!

RESCUE by Andrey Angaev 2026-04-24T23:58:24Z

Great mood! Could have used a checkpoint on the second island since the paths are quite long and you sometimes have to wait for the platforms to align vertically. But the world feels vast and is visually impressive

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-29T23:35:43Z

Cool idea! It's fun to play with the knobs and watch the people's reactions and their dance moves.

The speed at which people leave is quite lenient, and it looks like this leads to people having very similar scores at the end (five commenters posted a picture with a score of 30, and I also got 30). This could be made a bit more challenging, but other than that it's a nice entry!

Signals in Distress by TheKimeo 2026-04-25T00:57:13Z

Interesting, unique idea for a tower defence, especially with the color mixing!

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-28T18:08:17Z

Unique concept for a rhythm game, with a nice presentation! Once I understood that you need to hold the keys, not just press, it felt quite natural

Call 4 Help! by ThatFirey 2026-04-24T15:52:32Z

Great atmosphere, and impressive to implement so many minigames in a jam!

Finsternis by Jo Bettaque 2026-04-26T01:19:46Z

Great atmosphere! Everything feels very cohesive and visually consistent. There were maybe a bit too many voice lines at once at the very beginning. But I was impressed to see those ruins pop up, it's cool that you can build something so complex with just simple lines

Echo by FunnyPumpkin 2026-04-30T02:40:45Z

Very clever take on the theme! The soundwave effects look amazing, especially in dark levels. I like how the lights have the same trajectory, showing you where the soundwaves will go. It was satisfying to find out the trick of the final level which made it very easy, even though it looked difficult at first

oops, wrong alien by aniretti 2026-04-26T14:16:09Z

Feels like it could use some more player agency aside from just selecting cards, but the visuals and alien designs are nice, and good job managing to add 16 different endings!

Téloche by Magalix 2026-04-28T21:13:19Z

Very unique idea, well executed! The distortion effects look cool and the fist punches feel satisfying!

Squeaking For Love by Crak 2026-04-26T13:59:07Z

Cute and funny!

Mission: Stop Transmission by ZedGame 2026-04-26T14:50:08Z

Wow, so many features you've added to this Desktop! I like how you implemented the theme in multiple ways, with the Wave Tracker and Packet Router minigames and the overall story

WEB DIVER by mshrmgirl 2026-04-28T16:34:26Z

Very cool UI! The turning was maybe a bit too slow, even if it's intentional. But the overall idea with assigning gameplay mechanics via points is really cool and unique, and the dino felt properly threatening!

Panik Medik by RoxxorXx 2026-04-30T01:00:50Z

The art is beautiful! It's a bit confusing how the signal indicators jump around so much, which made me unsure where to go. But other than that nice entry!

Tune by DeathandRepublic 2026-04-24T14:00:15Z

Challenging game! Maybe the controls could be simplified a bit so that you only have to use the mouse wheel and not select your color with Q first. But it was a nice mood and fun to explore the caves

SILENTIUM by Shram 2026-04-26T20:44:29Z

Very realistic and a great mood! I like the constant switch between moving around on foot and driving with the car

RADAR LINE_ by saloid 2026-04-24T15:11:18Z

A bit unintuitive to figure out how to attack enemies, but the vibe is really good!

Read My Signal by Shivvvy 2026-04-23T23:40:04Z

Very cute style! Lots of polish

Monitor Maze by awdsasdaw 2026-04-26T18:32:38Z

Great mood in both the intro cutscene and ingame! Difficulty seems well-balanced to me

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-26T16:20:46Z

A bit hard to keep track of both the spellbook and beat indicator at once, but other than that cool rhythm game with a nice style!

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-23T21:34:32Z

Nice forest atmosphere! You should maybe not lose all acorns each time you die, but it's a good, unique take on the theme

Intergalactic Kebab-Hunger by colverok 2026-04-27T21:57:12Z

Cute idea with the dog/cat switching! It would probably have had a stronger impact if the game was in third person. And there could be a bit more feedback when completing a puzzle. But overall a nice vibe and fun to explore
