LD45 — Start with nothing

TwT by OddballDave 2019-10-25T13:29:24Z

This game takes place in the alternate universe where the US uses the sterling pound.

TwT by OddballDave 2019-10-25T14:28:36Z

@oddballdave Oh, it must be because of the en_GB locale on my system then! I didn't think of that.

Anyways this was a fun incremental game, but it got waaay too frantic for me to manage. I find it hard to believe a super mega corp would have some means of getting rid of corpses in containers, or even sell the critters out while they're alive, but I had to manually manage the containers even when I had billions and billions of pounds!! I shouldn't need to work hard to get richer when I'm already rich! :P

Surprisingly, I didn't find many of these clicker games in this jam despite the theme. Heck, even I thought of making one of these before settling for what I made. So this was a nice find, good work.

Uballto by Omiya Games 2019-10-09T00:48:19Z

This is my new favourite distro. No more using the terminal, just balls.

Draconomics by CyberStarLight 2019-10-08T02:50:27Z

I lost at 970,000 and then at 980,000.

Despite our complicated relationship, I'd still bring treasure to this dragon and have him pulverise me indiscriminately as he decides he no longer likes my treasure as I'm taking it to him.

Beating around the bush by netmute 2019-10-08T14:48:56Z

I liked it! Surprisingly fun. Blew up lots of grass. Like others, I think it'd be nice to see how many of which items you have.

SHIPWRECKED by Bredera 2019-10-07T22:05:51Z

It's quite short once you realize what's going on (I somehow visited the islands in the complete opposite direction of trading!!) but it's a delight nonetheless! I like the relaxed mood from the bongos playing in the background and I absolutely LOVE the artstyle, it really strikes my fancy.

Wonderful job and wonderful interpretation of the theme.

Also props for actually uploading a Linux version of the game!! ;3

Chase Champions by PietPtr 2019-10-07T20:23:16Z

I LOVE how you went with the theme! The idea of someone driving a non-existent car one-ups any invisible car gag, and collecting car parts as you go along is really fun, that is, until... well, this game showed me that cops are, in fact, bastards. I'm not sure if there is an end state here, but I couldn't reach it because of the cops blowing up my car and thwarting my progress, the slippery controls didn't help either.

All in all it was fun(!!) but that fun died down quick. The strongest point here is a lovely interpretation of the theme, it IS something I wish I had come up with.

Pitch Blank by Jaun 2019-10-25T01:59:04Z

That was SO good!!

I felt bad every time I stepped on one of those light slugs... :(

Great concept and great level design! I loved how each new creature was introduced in a different level. The last level with the creatures roaming in the darkness really made me feel uneasy.

Awesome all around.

Unlock Everything by DDRKirbyISQ 2019-10-23T11:33:00Z

This really is one of those entries that make you go "I don't believe this was made in 48 hours."

Really great, amazing job. I don't do well with Megaman-esque games, so I couldn't get too far but this is still clearly one of the best entries for LD45 I've played yet.

Healthy Competition by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2019-10-29T02:50:45Z

A little finicky but fun overall. I couldn't tell if levelling up did anything at all. It sure didn't feel like it.

Foxtrot by terryg 2019-10-28T19:28:58Z

I like the artwork a lot but mostly everything else from the controls and movement to the interface feels so finicky. At one point I could jump 5 times in a row with the double jump but then, after that, my jumps could barely reach the apples, and I couldn't even double jump anymore.

Please Move by aeveis 2019-10-23T20:57:18Z

That was so cute!! I loved it to bits, couldn't figure out what was the secret, or if there was one, I'm bad at finding those out.

Necromanic by krammetje 2019-10-29T03:05:44Z

I like the artwork and the idea here. Everyone is huddled together during the skirmishes and it's hard to see the action and what is actually happening, I only really know the tide of the battle when it's over. I couldn't get past 3 locations taken over, those peasants are really strong!!

Solar Grid by svntax 2019-10-24T14:55:30Z

I like the idea, but I don't think it was executed in the best way.

The guns seem totally useless seeing that you have to control them manually, and can only control one at a time, and you have to put your focus away from building solar nodes to control them.

On the other hand, the solar nodes are cheap to build, and building them allows you to build more of them more quickly.

So I ended up optimizing the fun out of the game. I could go on forever by just frantically building more solar nodes.

optimize_out_the_fun.png

I liked it though, the music is nice and changing around some things could make it a really good time waster (also yay godot), but this is not it.

Words With Foes: Quest for the Lexinomicon by MattWoelk 2019-10-08T00:45:04Z

That was totally witty and awesome! I loved the descriptions for every new enemy and letter, fighting words with words is great fun.

The music and atmosphere here is something else!! Very pleasant all around.

Words With Foes: Quest for the Lexinomicon by MattWoelk 2019-10-09T00:08:09Z

You folks should probably rate other games, so your game will get prioritized and other people will find it to play and rate, it'd suck for it to go unnoticed. :(

Osage by tvle83 2019-10-24T17:05:04Z

Really pretty, the mouse is sooo cute! I couldn't get very far though, I don't enjoy hunting down collectibles and when I got to the tree trunks with a few collectibles short and it didn't let me through, I quit since I couldn't find the few remaining ones after backtracking twice and the player character is so slow.

Pretty solid though, and the screenshots show that there's a lot more pretty landscapes to see.

Bulbz by Gurbx 2019-10-24T13:35:04Z

These shaders are really fancy!! I liked this, an interesting roguelite, I died a lot but managed to get the 20 orbs and win.

No-Thing Island by SleepyStudios 2019-10-27T18:16:35Z

That was really fun! I'm not usually good with these puzzle escape games but I actually managed to finish this one! :P

I had to cheese it with the obelisk, I realized there could only be 16 possible combinations so I brute-forced it, from there it was smooth sailing.

private void Start() by LuckyFeathers 2019-10-09T00:23:21Z

oh god i'm fading

I Was Nothing At All by gord10ahmet 2019-10-07T21:30:53Z

Really fun! And the music really hyped me up!!

It took me a really long time to get to the rocket launcher but once I had it and was tasked to finish off the RED RECTANGLE, that was totally awesome and rewarding, that's some engaging difficulty there.

I still wonder what my player character is!! is that a blocky kitty??

Totally Safe Space Systems by Tim Eriksen 2019-10-28T23:00:44Z

Short and sweet. I liked the sleek interface, very modern-looking.

Mind Game(s) - Prologue by samboyer276 2019-10-28T22:35:10Z

Oh that was really really great! The writing is witty and engaging and I loved it to bits!

The background changing contextually added a lot to the immersion, really fancy stuff, wonderful work.

There is nothing here by konomizure 2019-10-08T13:43:14Z

A beautiful landscape announces the end times written in the sky in blood red.

TwoFiveFive by mediyaz 2019-10-23T22:41:20Z

I really liked this! It reminds me of this game called WhatTheHex but in here you don't have a list of colors to pick from and need to really test your RGB skills!! I got an 86% average. Initially I didn't notice the sliders defaulted to 127, i thought the middle point was 0 for some reason, so my first four guesses were way lighter than the color asked, but that was just me being absent minded. :cat:

No pants Wizard by agar3s 2019-10-08T20:10:38Z

OMG the game with the roasted chicken and the forks is absolute sensory overload!! It was also the only one I managed to clear!

Those games are super difficult but they're also really fun despite that?

I'm still going to have to finish them all but I already really like the quirky humour and sound effects!

Muscle Typer by organicpencil 2019-10-29T00:13:36Z

Ohhh, I really should've played this one when I saw it earlier on the Godot Discord server, I'd tried the web version and it was slow as molasses, but playing the native Linux release was perfect.

Really fun!! AHHHHHHHHHH fkpodskfodskopkfopk

I won, didn't drop the weights once!! :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle:

Elementary Trouble by teo989 2019-10-28T23:52:01Z

The enemies and the player sprites/meshes look pretty. The game itself doesn't convey much information, I can't know how many enemies I took down (except for when I get their power up), I can't know which elemental skill is currently active, and death is instant, and restarts the game immediately, with no break or feedback or result screen. If someone doesn't read the description (which people often don't) they won't know quite a few key things like the fact that there are power-ups and how to use them, things like this should be clearly conveyed in-game.

There isn't much of a goal, either (unless there's an end state I couldn't reach) and there aren't scores which could spark a competitive spirit.

So this game has a solid foundation, but lacks things that would make this foundation enjoyable. I hope you make a post-jam update!

Broken Broom Adventure! by RubixNoob13 2019-10-29T00:00:44Z

(Godot Gang, Godot Gang, Godot Gang, Godot Gang)

I like the tiles, they give off both whimsical and a ruined tower feel. I found the end room but having barely read the description before playing I thought it was a bug in level generation and ignored it, thinking I got caught in a dead end.

This game needs more Stuff. You know, enemies, items, hazards this kinda Stuff.

It's still enjoyable but really feels like something's amiss. I'll be looking forward for the post-jam version.

Partz by lootgrounds 2019-10-08T22:21:10Z

Very atmospheric! I don't know if there is an end game, if there is I couldn't reach it. I had one heart and got killed before the camera could catch up to me when I entered a new room, the enemy spawned too close it seems.

It's quite good nonetheless, both visually and mechanically. Also remember to rate other people's games, or nobody will end up playing yours.

Keyz Goblin by TheWustache 2019-10-08T22:12:20Z

I really liked the idea! Couldn't complete it because when time ran out and everything got reshuffled a wall spawned right on top of me and I got stuck out of bounds, unfortunate timing!

My left ear really enjoyed the music.

Entanglement by cassowary 2019-10-28T05:19:38Z

Wow! These are difficult, I could only get up to level 7 before throwing in the towel.

It was quite fun regardless! I liked the puzzles and the visuals give off a very nostalgic vibe, very DOS-y!!

Starboard: The Pirate Entrepreneur by FlashViper 2019-10-10T03:09:51Z

Quite a fun one this was! Got me hooked like a captain's hand.

Although it felt like a bullet hell without the precise controls, I found it a little difficult to steer the ship, and initially expected tank controls instead of moving in the direction of arrow keys.

It's quite stylish, the music is good and the description is exciting (love your pirate speak!!) and it could also be addictive, but the flaws mentioned prior kept it from being the perfect time waster.

Deliv' 51 by Larnin 2019-10-24T22:05:29Z

The graphics remind me of the old GTA games, despite the description telling me I'm supposed to kill the aliens, I didn't find a way to do that, doing deliveries was a frantic race against the clock! Not sure if there's a win state, or if there's a set amount of deliveries to make. I got to 9 deliveries.

What have you got there? by kirroyal 2019-10-24T13:55:45Z

Oh that was sooo good!! I love the idea of a mundane walk back home being made into an adventure ´w`

The death animation for the enemies is a little unclear, but that's my only nitpick, really.

Finished Raccoon Bikini Game by D5R 2019-10-16T23:30:53Z

I LOVE this raccoon, go get those bikinis!! ¬w¬

Faze by Xenoxygene 2019-10-08T02:00:33Z

Gorgeous game! Everything from the art style to the music and game mechanics mesh together so well! Absolute delight, great job, all of you!

((also kudos for having a linux build ;3)))

Sneeter by bubblewandgames 2019-10-28T20:17:21Z

Bluebirds by hwaet 2019-10-25T04:51:37Z

I liked this a lot. The second level with the blue and red particles confused me though, it took me a while to realize that red was bad and should be avoided.

Sheep Keep by zubspace 2019-10-29T03:23:57Z

Fun! I somehow passed right through the fence and got Soft Locked:tm:

Weirdly satisfying to take down so many sheep.

Out of insight by Dina 2019-10-29T03:34:08Z

It's got quite a bit of a nightmarish atmosphere but I really dig it. Fancy looking all around, love it.

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-07T22:37:06Z

@jeritens yeah, I was going to make it clear that the big enemies could be taken down as well, but I was unsure of how I should go about it and ended up not actually doing anything to give the player feedback. A big oversight on my part!

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-07T22:45:19Z

@yeomsley Thank you! I got to admit I was having way too much fun with the knockback boosting too, I think I wasted quite a bit of time playing around with that xP

@thepiratenun eeeee, do you mean stuck as in you couldn't get through the spikes or did it bug out? Because to pass through there you'll need to use the knockback from the gun, I was afraid it wouldn't be clear though, so I made that part completely optional, so much so that you can theoretically get the 100 coins you need without even buying the diving gear.

@its-jackal the minimal art style is something I really nailed down on! I wanted it to look nice, charming and consistent, so I'm glad that work paid off!

@gord10ahmet thank u.... :3c

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-08T13:27:44Z

@zissou Oh, that stinks, I don't know what could've caused that. Did you press X under each item when you had enough coins for them?

@falu Thank you! I think I can pull off cute! >:3

@purpledartfrog @dry-squid Glad people liked my silly pixel work! It's a first for me.

@kooshy Mweheheh x3 Let's just hope I won't let up in future ones.

@inky You know, sometimes life just throws this stuff at you! x3 I'm glad you liked it, and sorry to hear you couldn't get too far in, I had no clue if I'd made the game too easy or too hard, but truth is that difficulty is different for everyone, I just wish I could've made my game more accessible.

@fallingflatstudios Thanks! And yes, the spikes on the bottom are the hardest puzzle, because it's not immediately obvious how to get through them, since there's no prior instance where you need to use trick that allows you to get across.

@konomizure Weeeell... it *is* a slug! xP

@cyberstarlight Thanks! I noticed the artifacts, but couldn't figure out what was causing them and how to get rid of them, the delay is a problem with the web build, and again, I don't know how to get around it :(

The sparkle for the double jump was added for better feedback, because while testing I'd occasionally jump too late while running off a ledge and would end up jumping in the air, which uses the double jump, and there was no visual cue for that! Instead, there ended up not being a visual cue for hurting the big jellycats! >.<

Thank you for the feedback, everyone! ^^

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-08T15:04:10Z

@netmute Oh darn.. Are you using a Mac? I heard that Safari/WebKit doesn't play nice with Web Assembly (or at least how Godot exports it). I can build for Mac, probably. I never tried it because I have no way to test it.

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-08T15:39:08Z

@emiliabea OMG I would've loved to add music, I tried to make something during the last day but I couldn't manage to get anything bearable, I'm not good at the "music" thing and I didn't want to add in something that'd make people's ears bleed, they'd probably rate me down for it :(

Thank you!

@netmute Gotcha! I added a MacOS build to the itch.io page, but again, I can't be sure it actually works.

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-08T16:16:07Z

@netmute Yay! Thanks for testing it out for me, now I know I can publish my games for Mac too~! `▿´

Glad you had fun with it! Thank you for the feedback. :blue_heart:

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-09T02:11:11Z

@kaisercrimson1 Glad to hear it, and thanks! I'll probably work on it post-jam, I have lots of ideas I want to implement, but at the same time I want to make new things to show off, and will probably join more jams to help me accomplish that goal, and while I do that, I can't also work on this project, so it's kind of in the air right now!

Maybe I'll make this game longer and with more locations, assets, characters and storytelling; then monetize it >:3

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-09T19:28:18Z

@youngblade Thank YOU folks for having my game played on stream! It was a really great, insightful experience to see someone's first reactions and their learning process on how everything worked, it's not usually something you get to learn from feedback through comments, as those are only made after they finish playing.

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-22T00:00:01Z

@boxedmeatrevolution They definitely are and give out lots of coins, the maximum you can collect is 210 ;)

@theopenflare Speaking of 210, you did it!! Mweheheh x3 That's what I meant by "Go from slow, frail and helpless to absolutely berserk and extremely mobile" in the game description. :smirk_cat:

@corentin-benoit-gonin Thank you! Not only my first jam, this really is pretty much my first game, considering all I've been doing were prototypes. :cat:

@itsdanidre Glad you had fun! Moving around from knockback is something I might've spent... a long time doing!!

@omiya-games Thank you for your time and for the insight! Always nice to see first impressions!! :smiley_cat:

I've been working on a post-jam update these past few days, which addresses lots of issues people had with this original jam entry, such as enemy feedback, speed, jump height and difficulty, while also implementing stuff I scrapped during the jam because of the time constraint. I won't publish it 'till I have some music for it as well, though. ;)

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-26T21:25:15Z

@selkkie Thanks! That's a good point, I should've made the goal obvious in-game, especially when some people don't read the description, I've watched a few folks getting lost, unaware that there's an ending because it's not pointed out on the actual game itself.

As for damage feedback, that was added in the post-jam version I uploaded earlier today. It still doesn't show your progress with each boss, but at least it makes it clear you can actually damage them! :P

I appreciate the feedback!

Cupcake Quest by oceanm 2019-10-07T21:07:24Z

It's very cheery and upbeat, I love that!

Though as soon as I started playing, I felt as if the level design was suspiciously familiar... What could it be, huh?

In any case, the enemies are a bit unpredictable. Sometimes they stop at a wall or ledge, but sometimes they pass right through the pipes-- err, blocks, and they are extremely fast, extremely deadly and can take a lot of damage, they take more cupcakes to kill than you can hold at any one time (at least when you start out) and that's a little... unfair? As the first level is coming to a close there are UNRULY SWARMS of super deadly enemies, and I could only clear the level by avoiding them altogether, and then I didn't have enough Currency to buy any significant upgrade.

And platforms that look like you should reach with one jump actually require expertly timed double jumps, as in, you have to perform your double jump at the very apex of your first jump in order to climb platforms, it'd be fine if it was required only some of the time, or even just for secrets, but lots and lots of jumps require these well timed double-jumps, no way around it.

It's a sweet game! I like the artstyle and the cheery music, but the gameplay itself, well, I didn't find it very fun.

Small Town by Emiliabea 2019-10-08T16:10:18Z

This has such a warm and calming feel to it, I only played through once, on the cat route, and I loved every single description for them! My favourite is Three Paw Mackenzie!! Up and at 'em! >:3

I'm gonna have to see the other gift options later but I think I saw enough to love this game!

The Unknown Maze by UltimateTrainer 2019-10-07T20:48:15Z

Five mazes, five minutes.

I like the aesthetic, although the movement made me feel a little woozy, it's nauseating, maybe it's too fast? Also, I appreciate you adding music but it is quite a short loop and after its 10th time repeating, I was already sick of it. Not quite sure how it fits with "Starting with nothing?" perhaps the tools you find along the way? They aren't really necessary for victory though, the compass is kind of useless since the goal is at the center, and the tool that shows your coordinates is only useful once you learn what the coordinate for the goal is (7, 7)

Not bad, but not stellar. It has a nice moody feel to it.

Clothes On My Back, Things In The Sack by MaxyMax 2019-10-07T22:18:27Z

It's really funny! I didn't understand at first why the levels started the way they did, but then, it dawned on me that not everyone has something for you to steal. I love the voice clips, especially the "ugh"s when you try to pickpocket someone who doesn't have anything!!

Also there's a bug where everyone's sprites turn into cops! That's terrifying.

War with Nothing by karrar home student 2019-10-24T15:10:56Z

Path to UwU by QuantumSno 2019-10-29T03:14:49Z

The stick person immediately reminded me of the classic Flash games, what a joy!! Thank you super user for giving me the ability to move.

I'm not sure if reaching the fabled UwU was the end state or if there was more stuff, but that was a pretty solid entry, especially for a first dwelling into a new engine!

The music only played on one ear at a time and that was a bit jarring, personally, but that's no big deal.

Nice game! :cat:

Grow Your Wolf by Ostrich 2019-10-07T23:34:12Z

I got all the wolf parts and then nothing happened and I got mauled by 3 wolves. Good, quirky and fun.

The music gets gets overlapped every time you lose, so if you don't mute the music on the menu when you lose, you're gonna have a sweet track blasting your ear holes.

Raven Knight Geist by KaiserCrimson1 2019-10-07T21:36:58Z

It's quite short but I dig the art style at display here, it's a nice combo of beautiful and cool!! I don't really like how far to the right or to the left you need to be for the camera to move, that makes it really easy to bump into an enemy without time to react. The game could also use some sound ;)

I'm excited to see what can come out of this if you decide to work on it post-jam!

Slimy Dungeon by dodori 2019-10-28T23:34:41Z

A super adorable roguelite! I came across something that might be a bug: on the first floor the eye boss spawned next to me, it didn't attack or anything, and I killed it and got the spare eye power-up right from the start.

Beat Builder by kyle3wynn 2019-10-29T02:55:38Z

I like this! Would've been even nicer if the music incremented itself seamlessly as you selected the options rather than stopping, loading and starting the new version, but that's just being fancy.

Those are some sweet beats :sunglasses:

LD53 — Delivery

Rush Deliverance by ryusui 2023-05-07T17:44:40Z

I liked this a lot! There were a couple times I lost for jumping a little too late on my first couple runs, I think it would be nice to have a little leeway on the time for jumping but maybe that's just personal preference. The sounds are pretty satisfying and other than what I've mentioned the controls are super responsive. I think a way to know the distance to the next nexus + warnings for when the time is running low would be really useful, a couple of times I risked delivering something to the next one only to find out I didn't have enough time the hard way. But this is something I'll definitely keep playing for a bit to get high scores!

Also, thanks for the Linux build :3

Paleo Pickup by auxC 2023-05-04T22:29:47Z

Okay I got my rear handed to me, but I managed to beat it on my third try! That was a nice and funny little game! It was fun time the item usage to get the most of them and the caveman friend had fun dialogue.

Life hits hard sometimes by damdoshi 2023-05-05T00:57:15Z

Feels so dreamy, the visual (lighting?) effects are pretty interesting to look at. Just like a fever dream, however, I was left confused and annoyed by the time i hit the second level. I spent some 20 minutes trying to get the pentagons up the platform to no avail. Ended up giving up. Seems like a glitch made into a mechanic IMO: it didn't feel consistent to dash and jump to make the pentagons move upwards.

Interesting experience nonetheless, I liked it.

Super adorable! I was terrified at that last puzzle but it turned out to be super simple.

I LOVE how the tutorial level had only a drum line which then got built up into the full theme when I left the room. I'm a sucker for this kind of thing!! Really really great entry it was cute and fun :blue_heart:

Silence is just a pipe dream by Antsa 2023-05-04T22:58:53Z

This is extremely funny. The kinda delivery we all need to do once :relieved:

Mission Delete by jordantanner 2023-05-19T20:38:19Z

That was great and a lot of fun. I played both versions and managed to get a 7th place high score (KettLovahr!)

I feel like playing this game ends up just being a matter of finding a Type I weapon with very good spread and spin around while pushing the payload, which isn't the most engaging gameplay but it's kinda fun.

Coastal Carrier by Kosmik123 2023-05-19T16:56:12Z

That was simple but super delightful! I only got to 32, wasn't expecting the fuel to start depleting so quickly!

I don't really have any complaints, this game looks like it accomplishes everything it's set out to. Good work :)

Cassie The Carrier Pidgeon by haselkern 2023-05-04T23:13:49Z

Very simple but a lot of fun! I liked the progression and I like the effects on killing monsters, very satisfying!

Cradle Courier: Stork 17 by mushgunAX 2023-05-19T19:52:49Z

I thought the bull and the owl were the final bosses. I was wrong. Couldn't deliver the president's baby. :(

I was taken by surprise by the Very Crusty audio but I think that it, coupled with the graphics give it a really, really charming vibe. It's a very good kind of bad. The gunplay is simple but fun, I wish our stork hero could still move while reloading, even if a little slower.

Postal Pandemonium by dprings7 2023-05-02T01:49:01Z

It's a little tough to get the hang of What's Going On once you start the game for the first time, but alright. Sorting game, kinda fun! Hard to see the cursor, though.

Heartbreak Express by Caleb Kim 2023-05-02T02:29:09Z

That's a lot of people gettin bad news all at once. At least 300! I like the graphics, but the game is far too easy and gets a little boring before it can get difficult. Funny overall, I hope these people find some good news to be happy about :)

SPACE.FARER by MartinK 2023-05-19T19:36:25Z

I liked it, but I feel the mining escort missions made it way too easy, maybe I over-optimized? In the end I kept going to the same mining operation missions over and over and got enough money to pay off the debt, with tens of thousands of cash on the bank to boot.

Twice did I accidentally hit the "back" button on the ship info screen and got booted back to the main menu, losing all my progress. So that was a bummer.

I liked the visuals, I initially thought I'd be doing some piloting myself when I skimmed the screenshots so it was a little disappointing to see it was mostly a text adventure kind of deal, but I still had fun. Good entry! :)

KITTY DELIVERY by Igor Evlahovich 2023-05-19T20:50:46Z

That was pretty interesting. First level introduced me to the concept. It's a very small map, not much verticality and after going back and forth a few times I realized the kitty was hiding behind a bush. Great! Then, I thought: "Ah, this is a hide-and-seek sort of game"

Then I was dropped into the second level. The matrix city. I went back and forth a few times, just like before, but this time I couldn't spot any kitty. Then I realized I was getting caught by some invisible walls. It was at this time I realized: verticality. It was time to jump.

But I couldn't know what was or wasn't a platform I could stand on. It was inconsistent, after trial and error I managed to step on beehives and get to our kitty friend on top of the building.

After that debacle I was wondering just what our third level had in store. But it didn't seem to have any verticality like our second level. It was narrow, and low. I had to mash the keys. That's how I found the cave kitty.

In short, the design is a little lacking, but the game is cute enough, I liked it.

Bokaty by xema4789 2023-05-19T13:46:23Z

The menu looked delightful! I had a really hard time with the game itself though... It took me a bit to get the hang of it! It's a fun idea, though, and I had fun.

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-05T14:40:04Z

@equalenergy Hehe, I might be guilty of doing the same thing!

@ludumdarevd6xh Can't deny a little inspiration from the Paper Mario games, they just look super nice and making 2D sprites is a little easier for me than 3D models x3

@dan-allison Taking them all at once is where it gets all the more fun and intense >:3

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-06T15:37:53Z

@yuriscat This is super duper cute, thank you! Glad you like our postbun x3

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-06T21:15:39Z

@massena it goes for as long as you still have packages to deliver! Since it can be very easy to dodge Nabbers depending on how you play it can be very hard to lose all your parcels and get a game over.

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-07T03:27:53Z

@drazil100 Yeah! During playtesting we were way too hooked in one specific way of playing (carrying all parcels at once and dodging Nabbers as they come) that we failed to balance for people simply... delivering packages a couple, or one at a time! Wasn't too much time to make the AI smarter either, so we had to settle x3

Hopefully we'll have a post-jam version soon, hoping to make it more challenging all around >:3

Thanks for the feedback!

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-07T18:00:22Z

@ryusui The pickup and drop buttons are separate because you can pick up more than one parcel at a time, we also wanted the player to be able to explicitly choose to pick up packages since picking more up increases the risk you're at *and* take away your ability to defend yourself or recover packages without having to drop them again.

Thank you! It's an aesthetic I really like and so I tried my best to make it look good.

We had lots of fun juking out Nabbers ourselves which is why we left them like that x3

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-06-10T23:26:49Z

@kesha11s this is incredible thank you so much

GetPackagd by chriszzz 2023-05-02T01:14:06Z

It's a fun little game, but I didn't get those were mailboxes at all, I thought they were cacti and got confused as to what I was supposed to be shooting at!

The angle at which shots are taken is super satisfying I liked hitting the mail boxes once I figured that was what I was supposed to be doing. I also thought it was super funny getting a rocket and blasting the cars! Dangerous delivery!

Kangaroo-Delivery by Caleb Ralph 2023-05-02T01:38:21Z

Very, very relaxing game. I love the Kangaroo model. Don't know if there is an end. I only delivered till I got tired of it.

LD54 — Limited Space

Verliies by Ace17 2023-10-05T19:46:23Z

I liked this a lot! Unfortunately my BS self-protection measures prevented me from going forward after going through invisible vanishing blocks.

It's a nice concept and I love how low-level everything is, C++ and SDL, very very nice.

Grid Bots by Ayced 2023-10-05T19:15:59Z

I like the isometric look, not so much the falling terrain blocking my view that came as a symptom of the isometric look, though @w@ it was a little disorienting for me. There was not much feedback for my character being hit, I was not keeping an eye on my healthbar and I died without realizing I was even too low!

Packed Ride by grizeldi 2023-10-05T19:09:34Z

The art style is very "utility-first" and I like it a lot for that, there's a lot of clarity. I also like all the little descriptions for each type of passenger. This kind of management is not my forté though, and I only barely got a rating higher than 2 xwx

Very good entry!

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-05T20:30:20Z

That was a very funny take on the theme, we've all been there, trying to scoop something up through a small hole. Loved it, simple, silly and happy :3

Too Many Marbles by Thomas Volpato 2023-10-03T03:06:02Z

It's fun, and a nice idea, but it's way too slow! My attention span doesn't allow for too many rounds, I don't know if the game ever ends.

The Rock by Fupi 2023-10-04T02:54:46Z

This was really cute and I especially loved the art and the little designs for each character, the shopkeeper is my fave.

**spoilers kinda, i hope everyone who's reading finished the game**

As for the story, I don't know if there's an alternate route or if I am just supposed to end the game in order to not get the Bad End, I tried figuring it out but there was nothing to do but do the job, or get out. Played through three times, liked it a lot.

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-03T12:28:24Z

@brainles-etertainment Thank you! The limited space comes not from the literal use of outer space (I actually planned to draw more backgrounds for use for each level but thought it would be a waste of time,) rather it comes from the limited amount of space for upgrades, despite the difficulty always going up. It's admittedly a pretty weak use of the theme, but it was one of my first ideas and I stuck to it to the end.

@thomas-volpato I just think it looks cool :) It's a good indicator of the bullets' trajectory, and hammers home the StarFox inspiration

@diego-teran Thank you, I even had some pitch shifting in place to try and avoid making the shooting sounds too annoying but I guess that only goes so far, I should've just made or taken better sound effects.

@thenerdster I'm glad you liked it despite not playing many games like it!

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-04T01:57:44Z

@gamer-fates Thank you! I got way too hooked and the theme usage suffered from it. :pensive:

@fupi Valeu! I only stuck with what I'm doing once I was sure I could make the basic controls fun! I am bad at games so I had a real hard time trying to set a difficulty, as far as I know, nobody made it past level 9, I'm going to add online leaderboards soon, just so I can be sure ;)

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-04T02:18:25Z

@fupi >:3

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-05T18:31:58Z

@tankou Thanks! The controls feeling good were my first priority, I'm glad it paid off.

@freamdev Hehe, it takes a while for them to despawn after leaving the screen, better to not let them!

@furano I think the lack of shading on the bullets makes it pretty hard to tell how close they are! I actually intended to have a barrel roll module, there are sprites and references to it in the source code I linked, but I didn't know the best way to implement it, and I was running out of time!

I made the sound effects and the music all in [SunVox](https://warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/)! Manually placed notes and added pitch shift effects and all. Maybe more work than necessary considering the end result, but hey, I had it open.

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-05T18:39:31Z

@lovewerk Yeah, pretty much! The smaller reticle is where your bullet is headed provided it reaches its highest possible distance, anything closer than that and you might wanna bring the big reticle closer.

The flat coloring of the bullets in 3D space definitely makes it more difficult to gauge distance, yes, as does it sometimes bledning in with the color of enemies, but yes, I'd definitely add more enemies and smarter enemies if only I had enough time.

I left the upgrades that way since they *can* stack so you could potentially make use of a Level 1 Fire Rate module even if you have a Level 2 one already.

That would definitely be a nice effect, though I would imagine stars would be bigger, and farther away x3

Thanks for the feedback!

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-05T19:49:46Z

@ayced I thought the same thing, with the speed upgrades being useless, but in feedback during testing, and in the leaderboards, the speed upgrade is actually very popular among the best players. I have no idea why. Because of that, I kept it around.

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-06T16:04:22Z

@illia-kryvolapov Honestly, tuning the controls are the fun part and that goes by very quickly, it took me about 3 to 4 hours to get the controls down, most of the rest of the jam time was allocated for boring stuff! xwx

Thank you! I'm not sure if I'm going to do much more post-jam work on this other than the Leaderboard mode I've already uploaded, but it's nice to know it's a good and fun base for a better game. :)

@tucan A theme about space kinda got me thinking about space!

Yeah I think I got the volume mixing all wrong, and should've given players an option to adjust it to their liking.

@aweskybear That's very flattering! I didn't think this game would make such a strong impression, hehe! x3

Yeah, for someone like me, with a very narrow attention span, it's kinda weird I've gone for such a repetitive loop with long levels!! Part of it is that I didn't really prioritize more enemy types because I certainly wouldn't have enough time for that, so I ended up going with just the two.

That is in fact what I tried to do with level 3 which only features the Armored type enemy, letting the player know there is more and things will get mixed up and more difficult, but it is very weak since that is the only other enemy type in the game and once you're past that, every level is the same but artificially more difficult with increased enemy damage, level length, and spawn rates.

Thank you for the feedback, and the praise! x3

Lost Mage by Eliyud 2023-10-04T03:23:05Z

Nice and simple, I loved breaking the boxes with the magic spells. The spiky shelled enemy reminds me a lot of Mario buzzy beetles

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-05T18:06:40Z

I LOVE this art style and the gameplay was nice and creative, I don't often like button mashing but when the two were charging towards each other it was a really cool way to break the tie and it was *very hype* when I managed to knock the opponent off the ring simply from a proper mashing.

The audio department felt a little lacking, from no music to no punchy feedback sounds, which would *greatly* enhance the experience, but it was nice nonetheless and a wonderful use of the theme!

Minimus Brainius by hulien22 2023-10-04T02:56:59Z

This is a really fun concept (and possibly a good use of LLMs) but I really couldn't tell what made for good arguments at all, in fact by the time I got to the boss I was already at 1 ego and lost on the first argument.

cyber_serpent by picross 2023-10-06T18:14:43Z

I love the gameplay loop, and though juggling moving and shooting is a little tough for me, causing to run into myself very often, even after learning how the dash worked, I couldn't get a good enough score to get to the top 10. Still, I liked this entry a lot!

Yes, yes, yes!

I thought the movement a little wonky at times, having played with the keyboard, the serpent takes a while to change directions, and though it *is* quick, for such a fast paced game, it still feels slow, and I've ran into enemies because of the "steering" delay...

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-05T19:32:43Z

I like the idea, but the execution is a little lacking. I think having the ring moving constantly as a slower speed (such as `lerp`ing to the player position every frame) instead of moving every few frames, would be a better and fairer approach. Also, the collision against the fire hardly felt consistent, there were a few times where I was like "Oh, I definitely should have died there," but worse than that, at times the opposite was true.

For a game like this, you really should have a snappy death animation and a quick reset, especially when I'm expected to start all over again, with no checkpoints and relatively long levels. At times I had to wait nearly a minute until I felt confident enough to clear a gap where an enemy was roaming. The game could definitely use more speed across the board. I was not able to clear the second level, it was much longer than I anticipated, despite being able to sort-of-reliably reproduce a skip.

The art and music are nice, and I like the story and use of the theme.

Air-Raid Architect by ZungryWare 2023-10-04T00:25:44Z

The concept is awesome, can and should definitely be expanded. The jetpack mechanic works great and fits in perfectly.

Unfortunately the combat is extremely unfun. The spread is obnoxious and the enemies take too many bullets to kill.

I would very much like to see a post-jam update, I liked it a lot despite the shooting.

Plummy's Tummy by Little Doctor Games 2023-10-03T00:37:35Z

Plummy, the dragon with a big tummy! And the eldritch horrors.

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-05T18:26:24Z

Level 11 stumped me, unfortunately, but I loved everything about this game! I just think it introduced mechanics too quickly, for example, by the time a level needed the "carrots stop turtles" mechanic to be used, I'd already forgotten about it and was left stumped for a bit until it happened and I was like *"OH."*

The graphics are comfy, as is the music, I loved the turtle facts.

Lovely entry!

HALLOS by Chailotl 2023-10-03T00:23:04Z

A simple and lovely take on the theme, I guess space isn't expanding after all. Everything you've done here feels intentional. The scope is small but that allowed for every aspect of it to be perfected. Lovely entry, girlfriends.

Infinitum Labyrinth - Space Un-LIMITed by AweSkyBear 2023-10-05T19:00:00Z

I didn't make it past level 0, I think this game is too big brained for me. It was a nice concept though, I think I was like 20 dimensions deep.

Escape The Walls by purplexy 2023-10-05T20:10:08Z

The music is very relaxing for the trials, but I guess it does fit in a way. I liked this a lot. The red light/green light was probably the level that kept me on the edge of my seat the most.

The acid pool raft level took quite a few tries to line the dashes just right, I feel like the rafts should stop you, anything to help a little bit, otherwise it feels a little unfair.

The ninja's hitbox extends to his whole body, which is less than ideal for this kind of perspective, the hitbox should cover his lower half, otherwise there'll be issues with the arrows hitting him when he's clearly standing before them.

Other than that, definitely a fun little game!

Don't Get Crushed! by RossK 2023-10-05T20:34:29Z

Scary game! I liked it a lot, it was pretty exciting rushing as far as I could before going into a safe spot to steer clear of the squishies.

Payment Comes on Friday by Tetracold 2023-10-02T23:40:27Z

The art is genuinely amazing, I love The Guy he's just like me for real.

The game is slow, simple, and there's not much to spice things up. In a lot of way it is just like a real job. Just like a real job, at no point I was in any real risk of losing it myself, as I was doing very well, but throughout the experience I felt like I wanted to quit.

I then went on to start the game again and not do anything, and so, just like a real job, I realized that it didn't really matter in the greater scheme of things whether I did it or not, at the end of the day it was fine, and I still got my pay, even if the trucks were all leaving empty.

This is the first time I "quiet quit" a game.

The game looks, sounds and controls wonderfully (to my surprise, as seeing the control layout confused me for a while,) but unfortunately it suffers in design. There is no reward for, or even definition of good gameplay. During my first playthrough, I noticed that it really didn't matter how many boxes I managed to fit inside the truck, so I thought that I just needed to avoid letting the warehouse fill up, but that doesn't pose a threat either until the fifth day. My health might go down from a few boxes colliding, but it will regenerate and there'll be no further consequence, and that ends up depriving the game of goal.

Higher stakes would do this game wonders. Even something as small as requiring the trucks to leave with a certain amount of boxes, or a certain weight, would help encourage the player to work quickly and efficiently. This has a lot of potential to be a frantic and engaging game, but for the player to engage, the game must first grab and keep their attention.

LD57 — Depths

Strafe To Hell by alexrose 2025-04-09T18:46:13Z

This is sooo lovely, I couldn't resist the adorable thumbnail first of all. I really liked the commentary throughout the tour but I couldn't really understand the mechanics while playing, I kept getting additional weapons but I wasn't quite sure why, changing between depths to recover was definitely interesting.

Unfortunately, I think I died during the transition point between Violence and Fraud, and when that happened, the tour pod didn't spawn back in, I got through the entire Fraud phase without fighting (I was gone) and then got to the boss fight and couldn't do anything x3

Submarine Murder by oller125 2025-04-20T22:26:08Z

Ohh nice seeing another detective-investigation entry. It's a real quick one, so I actually just decided to brute force it because I was just as interested in the failure states as the win state. I wish there would be a little more elaboration on the whats and whys but given the time limit, you did well. A fun one!

anomalous source by GuitarBro 2025-04-20T22:17:19Z

The images piqued my interest and the game didn't disappoint, I was immediately hooked. I love the aesthetics and the brutalist architecture, made me think of Control. The ambience and the music building up really helped set the mood. Loved how the radiation was indicated by the dots appearing on the camera image. I didn't like how dark some parts were though I had to really strain to find my way around.... All in all, really great stuff, though the ending just didn't hit (but it did make me a little curious what all was going on....)

What Lurks Below by dxk2294 2025-04-13T02:15:09Z

This was awesome! I don't think I've ever played an incremental game where I could actually see so visually how upgrades affected the environment. It kept me hooked the whole way through!

Diggin' Deeper by gquibao 2025-04-08T19:51:24Z

Just like @notnasiul above this is my greatest weakness, I could NOT make it to level 40 xwx I really loved the sprite for our little jetpack dwarf, though, and the game has a very relaxing tone. Good one. ^-^

Murder for Dessert by Fupi 2025-04-07T22:16:23Z

@0x-void-x0 Thanks for the feedback! I guess we've got just as much breadth as depth, hehe! Fupi went absolutely hard with all the art and music and I found myself playing the game over and over, I could beat the game in around 12 minutes -- but that is knowing the story, so I knew this would be quite a bit of time commitment, with not much way to fix it, unfortunately! I can only hope the atmosphere hooks players in enough to want to dedicate the time!

Thank you for playing ^-^

Murder for Dessert by Fupi 2025-04-08T20:21:04Z

@franco-kikkas I definitely didn't expect someone to go search for the answers in the source, but it makes sense, hehe x3

Thank you for playing!

That's something we didn't even think of! I was in fact thinking the game was turning out too *easy* but from feedback we've gotten, I figured that's not the case at all. Something to keep in mind when either of us makes a detective game again ^-^

Murder for Dessert by Fupi 2025-04-09T20:34:52Z

@frogman Oh it is also funny you mention presenting pins to individual lines rather than just to the character, because that's how I had initially developed it! That was also *my* expectation for games in the genre, the game *is* difficult but it was going to be even more difficult if I had my way. After talking to Fupi near the end of the second day the intent was made clear and I quickly changed it to how it is in the final version. x3

Super Pyonpon by Saturnyoshi 2025-04-09T14:43:25Z

Ohhh I love this one so much!! The spritework, the music and sounds, the controls, it's all such a treat!! Great work!!

Dwingles by Pomo 2025-04-13T03:23:24Z

Hehe I loved this, only managed to get a top 60 score on the original (by the name 'Kett'!) It's very funny and it's got that rage-game feel that is as charming as it is infuriating.

A Final Deed by 0X_VOID_X0 2025-04-08T17:45:12Z

Ohh I liked this a bunch, very creative and it was cool juggling all the different mechanics when they start to mix together. I only have one complaint which is that when you hold a key for those special hold dots, it seemingly starts sending repeat inputs, which caused me to fail the sequence a few times. x_x

Pretty perfect otherwise, though, snatched my spot at third place with 564 points! Hehehe!

Fish Photography by Turquoise Moon 2025-04-20T22:54:49Z

Beyond the sound I really do wish there was a win state... I also couldn't figure out how to make my diver turn around, seemed like I had to move a lot in a direction in order for them to decide to face the other way, which was a little frustrating :(

I really like the visuals, they remind me of Flash and the little games I'd play when that was still a thing, and I loved the little smiley when I completed the notebook :) This is a really cute entry!!

Deep Fry by thyoi 2025-04-11T16:32:27Z

Saw this on Rincs' stream yesterday and then gave it a whirl myself and it is SO good, what a mind bender, to introduce a concept that's made for basically every Ludum Dare and go crazy with it like this. Masterpiece.

Earthcore Prominence by Lou Tremolieres 2025-04-20T23:13:21Z

I like the art and the music... The gameplay itself could use some work. I got to the end, but I really wish when the doors close behind you and you enter a fight, the camera would focus on the enemies. They got the attack me before I could even see them far too many times, and it was pretty frustrating. Thankfully failure wasn't punished too hard, but it feels like it would be fine if it did, given the game were fairer. Curiously though, there were also plenty of times where *they* wouldn't see *me* and I freely attacked them under no threat.

Good work on this entry. :) I do wonder who our traveling hero(ine?) is.

Rapid Eye Microgames by Tetracold 2025-04-08T17:02:33Z

I love the variety! All the microgames look lovely and the artwork is good AND hilarious... That said I found a lot of the microgames a little frustrating and unfair.

The first time I got the typewriter microgame I had to type a 5-letter word, 'death', but despite going as fast as I could, there was only enough time for 'dea', that's fine, maybe just a skill issue on my part, but EVERY other time it showed up after that, it had only asked for a three letter word.

With the sandwich stacking microgame, two of the ingredients spawned at the opposite ends of the screen, so the only way I could get to the latter was to moving quickly all the way from the former which would inevitably topple the stack, it was unwinnable then.

The statue of liberty boss fight seems to show up at random, just like any of the microgames, which caught me off-guard. In one of my attempts, it was the very second game to show up, and the truth is that it takes too long.

In fact, I don't know if I just didn't get far enough (my high score was only 22) but the microgames feel slow, though simultaneously, some of them feel like not enough time is given. I could not figure out the key microgame at all, for example, it took it showing up a couple times for me to figure out that a) the correct key is the one that appears in the bubble and b) it's the key handle, not the key tip i should be paying attention to, but then the next time it showed up.... the key wasn't there? the lock asked for a circle key and there was none.

I like seeing more WarioWare-likes either way, this could use some polish and balancing post-jam. Great work getting all this content out in the 72 hour window :)

As I said before, I only got to 22 points, so I'm not sure if there is an end-game or if it is endless. I wonder if our monkey friend figured out what they want to do for Dudum Lare.

Kind of deep waters by 7uc4s 2025-04-09T03:50:15Z

Really freakin' hard! I couldn't make it past level 3, unfortunately. Despite everything being out there to kill me, I found it oddly relaxing, I guess that's the power of having the ocean as the central setting. In about five different occasions, a mine showed up in a tight spot in a way which I could not possibly avoid it, I personally don't think that's something that should even happen. Lovely regardless.

R.E.M. Really Enraging Mosquito by Mcgiants 2025-04-09T02:20:23Z

This is amazing, really funny. Reminds me of QWOP. Had no idea these are what comfortable sleeping positions look like! My high score was 1937.

DESENTIA by ElenaMisuBean 2025-04-20T22:37:46Z

I tried playing the web version but only got a 404.

Played the Windows version though, it's really fun! This is a really tight match-3 and I liked the mechanic of having just a limited set of swaps/breaks for each level... Then the items kind of took me by surprise with how much more interesting they can make things!! You could probably make a full game out of this, you know...

DungeonDescent by thisyc 2025-04-09T04:16:15Z

I like this a lot, the mechanics are fun and interesting, you really just need the pizzazz. I'd like to see a post-jam version of this looking fancier and neater, and even more importantly: with a restart button.

This is incredibly satisfying, btw.

Echo Abyss by Brain-dead Rabbit Games 2025-04-09T03:09:19Z

Simple and to the point. Not breaking any new ground here but it's solid. I like how the hurtbox is slightly smaller than the submarine sprite, so you can get away with grazing the red saws(?) I couldn't get too far, 30-something points, it was starting to get pretty dark! The music gets a little grating, but I can tell there was honest effort. Nice entry! ^-^

Fall Off by HB10001 2025-04-20T22:45:32Z

Interesting game, I like the risk vs reward mechanic in choosing to fall and giving yourself some space to dodge obstacles and enemies. It took me a bit to figure out I could defeat enemies with my dash because I might've dashed into a bullet and thought that meant I couldn't dash into enemies...

It's fun! I wish it weren't silent though...

Oh No!! Astral Warp by plidomo 2025-04-08T16:29:14Z

Oh this is genius!! Not too difficult either, it's a lovely little puzzler. Loved the purple orbs, they kinda flipped what I thought I knew upside down.... or squished what I thought I knew. x3

This is especially great for a first jam entry! Super creative, props to you! :)

SIRTET by Airgameboys 2025-04-10T00:33:02Z

This is very smart, I couldn't get very far, but I loved the concept for sure. I had seen your post this morning and only now got to check it out, it was stuck in my head for a while x3

Poor Julio... by Sayeg 2025-04-09T04:51:35Z

It's okay to cry. Julio is a sweetheart and he deserves the world.

LD58 — Collector

The Scab by Parxer 2025-10-09T03:11:25Z

Very interesting! The game we made for LD57 had a similar mechanic where you had to use people's words to inquire further and progress the story. I think it's a really great way to get the player to think about things, perfect for a detective mystery! This was indeed very fun to figure out. I love the minimalist style too. Good stuff! ^-^

...Mario's reaction to using his name on him got a chuckle out of me x3

Keeper of Artifacts by ping78 2025-10-14T03:06:42Z

Fun entry, it would've been greatly enhanced with some audio :( I liked the flow of it, the descriptions for the cards were funny, it felt devastating losing a card I'd buffed a lot

Star Collector by boddiul 2025-10-12T22:11:02Z

Something satisfying about the sound of all the stars dropping to the ground once you lose. I scored 97, was going to take a screenshot, but it reset went I went to press the buttons...

Talla and the Tomb of the Takers by ryusui 2025-10-14T22:37:54Z

Well that was pretty thrilling! I didn't miss any of the QTE's because I was scared to. I was very curious about the portal that appeared on the final day, so I went for it and lo and behold, that's a whole different ending...... Really good! Really freaky, too!!

Scalper Beat-Off! by chelC 2025-10-08T02:46:20Z

Hehehe, this is delightful! I've got to be honest, I got a little frustrated by how downed Scalpers can still damage you and make you drop packs... But the artwork is SO PRETTY, our roo mama is incredibly cute as is her kid, and I love the eeevil raccoony design of the Scalpers x3

Carrot Collector by F1Krazy 2025-10-14T17:15:48Z

That was a delightful little puzzler! I was able to beat it relatively quickly on my little handheld.

IMG_20251014_140502.jpg

I think some of the puzzles had unintended solutions, like in the one that introduces the blue shrooms, you can completely ignore the blue shroom. Whoops! The puzzle immediately afterwards forces you to use them, but that one kind of solves itself x3

Rune Rangers by Taximan981 2025-10-10T19:13:15Z

This is a very interesting battle system! I got really worn out after the fifth exploration or so, though. :( There didn't seem to be any end in sight and I kept doing the same thing over and over, so I had to wrap it up.

I like the creature designs... Orbuncle is a fave.

Skeledaddler! by Catusfelony 2025-10-08T17:07:38Z

@andreadbx Thank you again for playing our game!

Skeledaddler! by Catusfelony 2025-10-08T18:56:37Z

@eklbirifine Hehe, it's good we managed to evoke that feeling! As the game was starting to really come together I kept thinking that if this were a mobile game I played as a kid, I would've loved it. Thank you!

Skeledaddler! by Catusfelony 2025-10-10T20:21:42Z

@100th-coin Holy crap you really went for that 100% huh? :D Congrats!! I watched the whole thing and can definitely see the frustration well up on that last level, thanks for staying determined to see it through!

Hottentottententententoonstelling by Wouter52 2025-10-09T15:47:49Z

SO CUTE

There was something just so comfortable about this game, drawing with these limited tools with your parents describing these curious creatures as you try to imagine them just off their name and adjusting on the go as they continue to give you little hints. I was caught off-guard by the couple of dirty jokes along the way but this game just puts you in that place of a kid who doesn't really know... I loved too, after I was done, scrolling through the gallery and seeing what others came up with off the same description x3

Lovely entry, possibly the cutest one I've played.

Well, that was cute :)

Guard the Forest by Phobos 2025-10-15T16:03:15Z

The dither effect is really good at making you imagine things where there is nothing. I actually freaked out when the first shadow figure showed up, but then I ran into it and nothing happened so they became my friends. When I picked up the body on day 7 a whole bunch of them appeared and I greeted them with love and warmth. Got to keep the forest clean!

Fallen Leaves by Sceef 2025-10-10T18:46:34Z

Very short, and not much challenge, but it's cute. Adorable artwork!

Out of Chalk by JustCore 2025-10-14T03:21:38Z

Now I'm wondering if there are multiple endings.... That was a fine entry! Lots of fun. :)

Butterfly Gathering by UniOwl 2025-10-08T19:30:37Z

It's very pretty, and relaxing. Though... you can very quickly unlock all the different flowers, and most of it then becomes a waiting game where you try different combinations hoping to get more species or variants to appear. I also didn't quite understand what the different symbols in the book mean and if I could use that information to complete the collection.

Monsters in Jars by T4RAN 2025-10-08T17:34:42Z

These designs are so cute!! I especially like the little healer that increases everyone's health by 2. Very fun mechanic, simple to understand.

The A?! game by mr_mesmer 2025-10-08T16:28:57Z

You _really_ brought your A game to this jam.

Stargazer by ProtoHere 2025-10-08T16:56:55Z

Such a dreamy quality, I love how the text looks, with that 90's 3D feel. I really liked the combo mechanic, though I feel that the detection was a little iffy, though that's normal for something like this. x3

Very nice and relaxing.

BulkUp by naru 2025-10-08T17:06:10Z

I don't quite get why the X/Y numbers are in the wrong order, but yes this is the kind of thing I'd do to save a pet cat too.

Very fun entry! Not sure how I'd feel if my cat turned into a hot alien girl, though!!!

Please don't touch my collection by zidan-banan 2025-10-08T18:06:46Z

THAT WAS SO COOL!!! I loved figuring everything out, and honestly it took me a little longer than I feel it should have x3

I kept going Pac-Man, Car... Pac-Man Car...... Oh. There's an ampersand!!!

This is the perfect kind of puzzle game!! It makes you feel smart AND stupid in a nice little sine-wave. Love it!!

Neon Doll Maker by Soleil 2025-10-09T15:20:56Z

Reminds me of the old Flash dress-up games ^-^ I really like the art style, freaky creatures, but should still be cuddly, save for the spikes!!
