LD53 — Delivery

Long Tail by HitchH1k3r 2023-05-06T16:09:57Z

Really interesting puzzle, quite innovative and challenging. I was a bit confused at first with how crossing yourself works, but eventually I got it. I love the art and the ominous soundtrack! Well done. Edit: the soundtrack btw was a bit too dark for me.

I got stuck here: Untitled.png

Package Panic by Porcus_Pie 2023-05-03T10:48:18Z

This is great, fun and intuitive. I saw no reason to press deliver unless I ran out of space though. Love it!

Parcel Blaster 2099 by graebor 2023-05-01T23:19:19Z

Wow, this is great! The soundtrack is on fire! I suck at this game but it's fun. It looks great and it's really polished. Good job, very well made for the time limit!

You crane do it! by crazyrems 2023-05-10T21:15:08Z

This is great. Very well done! Loved that the tasks kept getting more and more ridiculous, especially the final one :) The only thing missing is a bit of background music!

Ship The Sheep by pixelstuff 2023-05-04T17:25:20Z

This is fantastic! Awesome visuals and music and a very wholesome experience! I have just a tiny bit of feedback:

- I wish I could bark while moving - I wish I could unscare sheep so I won't have to wait

Great game, and a great take on the theme!

Delivery Under the Influence: 1925 Edition by Carraka 2023-05-02T22:09:11Z

Lmao this game is great. The music is awesome, my favorite aspect of this game, and that gun scared the s**(pooping time!) out of me, what a great twist! At first I thought the controls would be weird because, well, you're drunk, but I'm kinda thankful they weren't..

Beelivery by Jejkobb 2023-05-04T17:11:12Z

This was really adorabale and fun! Loved the opening and ending scenes. Like that bee, I too would go through checkpoint 8 multiple times just to trade a jar of honey for a grand piano ;-)

Great audio and visuals!

Hexpress by RunicPixels 2023-05-04T11:28:04Z

This is really good! I love the art and music, and the palette works really well with the isometric map. I liked the attention to details, such as showing the face of the witch above objects when she is obscured.

I have just a tiny bit of feedback - I really liked trying out different wands, but I would've preferred having upgrades at every stop instead of switching wands, this way I could progress in the game and it would also give more meaning to each run. I guess the upgrades could be rewards for delivering stuff to the snobby wizards.

Maily Melo by Blix 2023-05-03T13:59:13Z

Ok, this was really cool, love this game! Awesome graphics and music. I had a lot of fun reading the letters, especially when I got funny replies after sending letters to the correct recipients, or got letters referencing pop culture and history.

At first I wasn't sure if I sent the letters correctly, but I watched the reactions more closely and realized when I did. Some letters were a bit too cryptic but I guess you don't always 100% everything on the first few tries, which is fine. I wish there were consequences at the end of the game or a summary of how well I did, though. Edit: without spoiling it, obviously!

I can definitely see this game growing into something bigger!

Wasabi Whiskers by Beebo Studios 2023-05-03T16:45:49Z

Really cool game, even though I scratched my head a few times. Loved the art and audio and having to create multiple conveyor belt routes was pretty cool. Good job!

Deliver Us From Evil by F1Krazy 2023-05-14T16:58:31Z

Cute game! I enjoyed playing it and managed to finish it. The difficulty curve was balanced and the level progression felt right.

Screenshot Capture - 2023-05-14 - 19-49-42.png

And I have a bit of feedback

- I liked the art and the music (although it the music did get a bit too repetitive after while, which is understandable for a jam though). - I managed to glitch through walls and made it to one of the exists using wall jumping lol - I didn't like the fact that you needed to cheese enemies to solve level 15 (at least that's how I managed it!) - I think there needed to be more feedback for getting hurt - Movement - I think a bit of slide would make it feel more fluid - Jumping - Maybe could be a bit more... Bouncy? Not sure how to put it. It felt a bit heavy - Combat - attacking could definitely have a bit more range and feedback to it - I think there could be more emphasis on the theme - Thank you for not making the spikes one hit kill!

Despite all that though, I did enjoy the game enough to bother finishing it, which is not something I could say about all the jam entries I played, so overall this is a great entry!

Heart-Warming Deliveries by Joscco 2023-05-12T16:59:21Z

Hi! First of all, this is one of the most polished games I played this jam! Seriously great job. The art, sfx & bgm are fantastic and the whole experience is really well made. I still have a bit of feedback though :)

- Level 3, took me a moment to figure out you can deliver from the side of a building! - Pressing two directions at once seems to move diagonally (the actions still count correctlly but for a moment I thought you could move diagonally for the same cost). - I think the buttons should change color when focused, I accidentally sent myself back to the level selection a bunch of times (I kept pressing the arrow keys as the menu popped up... XD)

Other than that, I think the puzzles get a bit too challenging too fast, I stopped at level 4 unfortunately (I did try to solve it a bunch of times before giving up). Maybe the difficulty curve can be adjusted a bit. Might retry this later though.

Anyway, now I crave me some Pizza. ;)

Sky Drop by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-05-08T14:29:37Z

Cute game! Very nice graphics! Didn't run very smoothly on my browser though (chrome).

Some feedback:

- I think the charge time for dropping a package was a bit too long. - It was a bit difficult aiming with some of the angles of the camera. - It would've been really cool if I could control the baloon, although that would probably result in a different kind of game.

Very nice entry, however :)

eelBay by Peco 2023-05-03T14:12:23Z

This was brutal! A very challenging puzzle with cute facade :P Love it!

I wish there was no timer tbh. But I understand it could be infinite otherwise, and that could be a problem.

The Pigeon Post Principle by cassowary 2023-05-01T22:47:42Z

absolutely fantastic and clever! Loved the music as well! My favorite this jam so far! + That pigeon is really adorable.

Viking Delivery by GreenData 2023-05-06T16:56:11Z

Hi! Nice art and music, I really liked the main menu art too. I also liked the addition of the arrows pointing you in the direction you need to go.

I did hope for more emphasis on the viking theme, such as a viking style music and art for the houses.

**Other than that, I have a bit of feedback:** - I wish the ship would move a bit faster, it is a viking ship after all! - I wish there was no timer, and instead a different incentive to get you going, such as enemy viking ships raiding yours! - I wish there was some reward for delivering the packages - maybe upgrades, such as speed, defense against enemy ships, or even hiring vikings to shoot arrows / spears at other ships while you traverse the waters! - Maybe more stuff to find in the water, such as gold coins for upgrading stuff, sailors, upgrades, etc. - More effects and "wow" factors when scoring points

Great job for a jam though :)

Save the Mail! by MtWhateverest 2023-05-02T20:42:47Z

Cool game, simple and fun. Nice graphics as well! A little short though. Would love to see some obstacles as well.

Ice Break Delivery by SneakyFox 2023-05-08T20:08:08Z

Ok this is really cute! I like the graphics and the nice music which fit together really well. The addition of thieving penguins as an obstacle / challenge combined with breaks in the ice is a fantastic idea. The addition of upgrades is great. I have a *bit* of feedback:

- I thought eat replenishes my charges, and took a moment to realize it's a "get rid of the fish you're holding so you can pick up another one" button - Grabbing the fish back from the thieving penguins could be a bit finicky - LMB "Push" says hold but it seems to do exactly the same when just clicking. Unless there's an upgrade I missed? - It took me a moment to realize there's a timer, I think it should be a bit more visible (brighter color, and maybe a number of seconds remaining) - Since this is ice we're talking about, it would be cool if you gained momentum as you go forward - Falling in the ice resulting in a total game over was a bit too much - I took a moment to realize the colored dots meant "deliver here", I think they should be arrows with penguin next to them

Still, a fantastic submission. Congrats :)

Ariadne's Thread Delivery by Advarsky 2023-05-02T17:07:36Z

Great graphics, fun and challenging gameplay! Took a while to get used to the controls though. I gave up after waking the bear several times. Loved seeing what happens to the cargo on the right

K-SANDWICH by mmatt_ugh 2023-05-03T09:28:50Z

I got stuck where velvetlobester got stuck too... I didn't totally get the controls, doing the upwards + side punch was kinda unintuitive for me. Really nice game though!

MagiCat by Flokami 2023-05-01T22:22:56Z

I see a game about cats. I immediately click because cats. Where are my cats?!

Fission Fight by Jahwffrey 2023-05-07T14:06:57Z

lmao this is great. The tiny enemies are a menace though! My favorite is Duke Red, he's got a really good toolset. I haven't managed to beat it yet but I'll keep trying! It's really nice that you added a co-op mode btw, I'll try it out with a friend some time :)

Rover Herd by JHax 2023-05-15T10:17:07Z

It was interesting and well made. I liked the art and sfx and how there is an ecosystem with creatures and that every creature has its own behavior, that's really cool! Also loved the attention to details, such as the quirky texts on the tutorial buttons and the fact that you added a music and sfx volume! I think the art could be a bit bigger though.

DEVILivery by Blue Pin Studio 2023-05-03T22:23:16Z

Nice gameplay! Good graphics and music. I have just a tiny bit of feedback!

- I wish I could hold jump, since the game is really fast paced - I brought the right item (I think?) but I didn't notice any reward or an upgrade? Maybe this one is on me - I felt like 90 seconds was a bit too much, I definitely would prefer being bombarded with enemies and having to destroy all of them to get out. But that's just me ofc.

Forklift-em-up by BadPiggy 2023-05-02T22:16:31Z

Just great, plain and simple fun Doom: forklift edition!!

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-04T16:48:53Z

This was pretty interesting and fun. I'm still vibing to the music after playing. My only feedback is that the speed of building rails through obstacles was a bit too slow for me, I kept pressing forward as if that would make me go faster. Great graphics and audio!

Popcorn Odyssey by 0X_VOID_X0 2023-05-04T17:53:46Z

This is great, and challenging! I loved the witty signs and was surprised a few times. The level with the bugs was really tough. I wish there was a checkpoint halfway through.

Fuscus and The Garlic Kin by Buumiii 2023-05-02T11:47:14Z

This is very cute and cozy. Though I was a bit confused at first with how to play, I didn't realize you can wall jump and shoot enemies at first, I just avoided them. Loved the palette and dialogue sounds!

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-05T17:39:00Z

Hi! Loved the graphics. Wish there was audio, though. I have some feedback:

QOL:

- the town I'm currently selecting a route for should be highlighted, it's easy to confuse a bit - Towns should have names, it would compliment the pretty map more! - Hirable couriers should not be greyed out, I thought they were unavailable at first - Couriers are a bit slow imo - I think the quest marker next to a town should be bigger and more discernable

Gameplay:

- There should be more incentive to choose different couriers for routes. It's currently a bit too easy - I did not really understand what the courier's stats actually do (except for speed which is obvious) - Choosing a courier for a quest and a route was a bit unintuitive

Overall this feels like it could be a very interesting game with more content and polish. The art is really good :)

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-05T18:34:04Z

@coderaurus I didn't realise I need to choose from the bar below at first. As for the route, I wasn't sure what to do at first, but it's only a one time issue which can be solved with a quick how to play :)

About the units, definitely understand the logic, this is why maybe there could be two states for that, one that means "not enough funds" and another that shows like a green "hire" text or something

As for the stats, they do seem interesting, kinda giving me an Oregon Trail vibe, so I get that! But I feel like maybe it should've said that somewhere or that they should've been removed to avoid confusion.

Totally understand the need for more time btw ^_^ All in all this is really good for 48 hours! And the graphics are great. It'll be interesting to see how this game turns out if you keep working on it.

EneRail by Ryabchik 2023-05-06T18:46:03Z

Hi! Really cool game. Love the art, music and atmosphere. Love the combination of puzzles with the device, and decrypting the readme message. I wish there was an undo / restart button, unless there is and I missed it?

Machine Meltdown by Stefan Funke 2023-05-02T18:29:41Z

Great stuff! Love the graphics and the game was challenging, it took a few tries. When that bar froze a bit on 99% I thought something bad was gonna happen lol. I have just a tiny bit of feedback:

- I didn't like that you get hit by touching the face of the boss, imo it's enough that it shoots at you and tries to crush you. - It was a (really just a bit) of a nuisance to spawn at the tutorial level every time I died. - I wish there was some cool music to go along with the fight!

Great job on the game though.

The Night Witches by Kultuk 2023-05-02T10:54:41Z

Love it! Graphics are fantastic, theme, idea and implementation are great, and I love that music. Very well made. The levels were challenging but not too hard to be frustrating. I loved the dialogue and the ending screen!

Unread Messages by shimmerscale 2023-05-02T13:31:44Z

I love it! I beat all the levels. The aesthetics are really pleasing, and the soundtrack is good. The level that introduces the hackers was kinda tough and added a bit too much complexity too soon imo. I also found a bug - you can place an amplifer outside the screen and it disappears! Still, great job! Isometric puzzles are 100% my cup of tea.

Monkey Delivery by GameDocs 2023-05-02T11:21:49Z

I feel like the monkey helplessly trying to reach more and more demanding deadlines is an existential metaphor for our fast paced 21th century lives! Jokes aside, that monkey is really adorable. I enjoyed playing even though I sucked. Would've loved to see more content, though. For some reason I wanted to pick up bananas.

Groove 'n' Goods by ekaktusz 2023-05-16T18:35:43Z

Simple and straightforward game loop which is totally acceptable for a jam! Great sfx and cute art. I wish there was a bit of a story or something to spice it up a little though :)

Dear friend by hmrpf 2023-05-04T16:33:08Z

This is wonderful! It's fun, polished, it has really nice graphics and audio and it's challenging!

Oshumania by epic_zeta 2023-05-01T21:53:12Z

Neat! I loved controlling the drone, it's fun figuring out how to make it go your way! I don't think there's a need for pressing the arrow keys to pick stuff up though. A little short but so are most game jam games I guess :) Great job!

Oshumania by epic_zeta 2023-05-02T11:13:18Z

@epic-zeta Oh my bad, I read the instructions wrong lol. I was really tired after the jam and pressed them anyway so I might've thought they do something. Ignore that comment then :).

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-15T20:46:03Z

This was really cool and witty, but at the same time really hard! My screen got cluttered really fast lol. I loved the reactions of the goblin and the attention to details, like being able to accidentally send the golbin's hat, and the overall experience. The graphics and music are great and the game is really polished, congrats! I have some feedback :)

- I wish I could clean the screen more somehow... I.E Erase the ripped parcels, etc. Maybe a dumpster somewhere? I'm not sure if sending stuff to get rid of them causes you to lose score or not - Drag and dropping everything was a bit too finicky for me... I'm not sure about this but maybe the lil goblin could pick up presents on their own while I deal with the mess? - The spring was a bit glitchy, sometimes stuff got stuck on it

Great entry!

You Shall Not Deliver. by makuck95 2023-05-03T16:43:09Z

This is really cool! Interesting mechanic having to control both the laser and the arm, and the upgrades made it even better. It was quite challenging too!

Corgi Cargo Combat by Zerfalex 2023-05-02T23:02:21Z

I was a bit confused at first when the mail folk picked up the remains of a box then realised I haven't peed it enough lol. Also one of them dropped a box on the walls of the house, not sure if it was intended? Loved your take on the theme and that corgi is adorable. Great stuff :D

Witch Brunnette by joao-marcello 2023-05-06T21:43:18Z

I have appreciation for games with simple game loops that are fun and intuitive, and this is definitely one of them. It's just nice flying around shooting bats and dropping stuff in the cauldron. Also thanks for not including a timer or anything like that, it's nice that you play as long as you survive.

The art is well made and really cute. I wish there was a cool soundtrack to go along with it, but the game is still good as it is! Well done :)

For some reason I got stuck in the score screen? Wasn't sure what's happening but typing the name and pressing any of the buttons didn't work. I refreshed the page to restart

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T11:09:06Z

@flokami Lol! And this is after I made it easier XD Thank you!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T11:09:15Z

Thanks everyone as well :D

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T15:47:05Z

@velvetlobster Thanks! I wanted to add a mini tutorial with "press (key) to (action)" but I decided to prioritize gameplay and other aspects since it's easier to just write the instructions. In a hindsight this should have been included!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T16:27:46Z

@lisyarus thank you for playing! IMO blocking is the second most important mechanic. The range is a bit close because I wanted the player to get in the danger zone, but maybe a little more range couldn't harm. Also I could've explained the blocking mechanic better because I saw that some people skipped it completely (I can't play without it!). Cheers for reaching wave 7! :D

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T18:12:13Z

@brusi

1 - Fair, next time I would definitely prioritize in-game instructions! I actually kinda planned on this but decided to prioritize other stuff.

2 - Actually, you do heal every wave :) A healing effect could've been handy to communicate that, though.

3 - My strategy was to block as many incoming attacks as possible, use the dash only to get out of being swarmed and to use the speed bonus enemies gain before they attack to separate them. But I totally get what you mean.

Thanks for playing and for taking the time to write this! Appreciate the great feedback.

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T18:16:22Z

@stefan-funke Thank you! I will think about the controls for the next projects / if I continue this. What other controls would you prefer? Obviously the best solution is to allow players to change the controls though.

I actually wanted to implement some kind of a warning system before enemies attack. Unfortunately I did not have enough time! But I will definitely prioritize this in the future. I watched some people play and saw that it could've prevented some frustrations with the game.

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T21:57:06Z

@marppuli You do heal a bit between waves, but it isn't very obvious since there is nothing communicating that. As for the controls, it's definitely something I'm gonna prioritize next time. Thanks for the kind words and for the feedback :D

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-03T09:37:55Z

@purrseus thank you! It's really what I went for with the music. Good call on adding Y!

@lvl99chicken I intended to change it a bit but ran out of time. I'm really happy with the main menu music though. Thanks for the feedback :)

@jin9310 About blocking, I planned to add a warning sign and had it in my tasks but ran out of time for the jam, I will definitely prioritize something like this next time. As for the theme, I get what you mean, I thought about making golden axe style progression and that you'd have to carry the souls with you (although that felt a bit too simple?), but ended up going with waves because they were easier to implement with the time I had left to work on the game. Thanks for the feedback!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-04T11:14:26Z

@chybby thanks for the feedback! I wanted them to be tough, but maybe I over did it, especially because there's no warning prior to their attack, and it does more damage and pushes you further back. I'm curious, have you tried blocking? Because I definitely could've done a better job explaining the importance of that!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-05T17:18:00Z

Hi @coderaurus, thank you for the input and for trying it out! I admit the combat is not as polished as I planned it to be, the time constraints were challenging for sure! I wanted to do better hitboxes, range, attack warnings, flinch for enemies, more sfx and animations, etc. I also planned on being able to block while moving and and to solve collision issues with enemies and the player.

Is there anything in particular that stood out more?

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-05T17:54:46Z

@coderaurus Good points with enemy lunges and the player states. I will think about how to improve on those! Thank you. I also checked out your game btw :-)

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-06T21:10:03Z

@joao-marcello Thanks a lot for the kind words :)

I actually thought about removing the dash and wasn't sure. I decided to leave it in because I found it useful sometimes, but I didn't want it give players the wrong impression that dashing > blocking, which is the opposite.

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-08T19:43:26Z

@arsher Hi, Thanks for the feedback! I do prefer it on the slower side, especially since the play area is quite small and there can be multiple enemies at a time swarming you. With that said, I do admit it may be a bit too slow at times, and I definitely wish I had more time for play testing and polishing :)

Feed The Owlets by Nikolai-Marian Sokolovskii 2023-05-09T21:42:46Z

Very cool atmosphere, I got a little spooked when I heard the wolves! Controlling the owl was a bit unresponsive though. I wish there was some variance introduced, like obstacles / hunters that you need to scare off, etc, because it got repetitive after hunting some mice. Cool entry though!

LD54 — Limited Space

Stingy Seating by stevenjmiller 2023-10-05T09:45:08Z

Loved the art and the concept of the game and it's well executed, just a bit too difficult for me. I also found that driving the bus and trying to change its orientation took some trial and error, but it's obviously a part of how the puzzles are built. Great use of the theme too!

Pool Frog by notnasiul 2023-10-05T15:31:19Z

Cute game! Love the art and animations. I'll never look at koi fish the same πŸ˜‚

Mental Space by pauljs 2023-10-05T11:39:14Z

Oh wow this is a special one. I tried to make "safe" runs and always ended up with the mirror scene. I'm not sure if there's actually a way to get a better ending though. I did some test runs to see what happens and when you don't care about stuff and wow... The consequences are there. I keep doing more runs cause I want to see what happens, and to maybe find a way to help Eva :)

Totally impressed with this, such an interesting concept and great use of the theme. Congrats

PhotoSquatch by digitaldude555 2023-10-14T00:17:41Z

Cool concept and the art is cute! But I do have some feedback.

- I didn't like the controls. One thing I would've preferred is if the kick would be assigned to 'left click' because when you're airborne you can't aim anyway...

- IMO you should get rid of the spacebar kick mechanic and just make it so that you always kick birds. It seems redundant. Or maybe the kick animation should end so you have to time it...

- I didn't really see the point in moving the ledges as the birds are all over the place anyway. Just placed two and left them there for the entire play session! Maybe they could "dissolve" after a while, or get kicked by a different kind of bird, or just be limited to one use, etc. Or maybe the ledges should've appeared on their own.

- I didn't get the picture taking thing. I get that it's sasquatch so you'd obviously want proof it exists, but the system felt unrelated and chore-y. I get that it makes the game more challenging and rewarding, but I just didn't really like it. Maybe instead of left clicking to take pictures, the pictures should be taken automatically, this will make it less chorey and more scorey :)

Still, it's nice that you managed to make this within 12 hours! Happy Birthday!

Astromino by namnam 2023-10-04T10:29:30Z

Very interesting concept utilizing dominos for combat mechanics, well done! I wish there was more info on the dominos though, it took me a moment to figure out what each does. The art and music are great.

I could definitely see this becoming something bigger with a story and more mechanics, etc.

Tiny Tour by Bugord 2023-10-03T21:46:21Z

This is great. Everything about this. From the puzzle mechanics, graphics, audio, ux, polish, everything. Love it! Congratulations on a fantastic entry. I'm currently doing level9.

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-03T10:40:05Z

The idea is clever and the implementation is nice, although a bit buggy. It's just that for me it's every bit as frustrating to get candies from the bottom of the jar in the game as it is in real life πŸ˜…, so I guess in that regard you kinda nailed it lol. The art is great!

About the bugs, sometimes, candies went through the finger, or the finger / hand disappeared, but it's acceptable for a jam and I did not mind restarting.

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-03T10:51:43Z

@denzel totally understandable, physics based games are tough and the end result is still impressive!

Storage Overflow 2 by Andreas Roschal 2023-10-13T17:34:49Z

I'm impressed, this is really cool! The graphics are great, the music is fun, and I loved that you made a reverse upgrade system. It could be a bit frustarting or finicky at times (especially when you accidentally knock stuff off and the truck goes on its way!) but this is a really nice concept and great execution!

- I didn't realize you need to put the items on the truck at first because of the area behind it - I think the trucks could be a bit wider - sometimes objects clipped through the truck πŸ˜…

Vestal's Path by SenatorMyth 2023-10-13T18:31:49Z

Nice game! I got stuck here and gave up though

Screenshot Capture - 2023-10-13 - 21-30-38.png

But I enjoyed solving the puzzles, some were nice and clever!

Bag of Clicks by Robbobin 2023-10-14T09:44:42Z

This is a really nice game and a great concept! I'm surprised it's in the danger zone tbh. It's polished, looks and sounds good and easy to play. My only feedback is that it isn't clear how many hits I can take and that there should be a retry button after losing... I can definitely see this being expanded. Congrats!

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-13T18:00:04Z

This seems like a great game but the UX makes this somewhat unplayable for me. I think it's a not a great decision to hide the menus and the most important information. How much power do I have? What does this building require? How many robots this has assigned? How many robots do I have? The information that should be visible is hidden behind clicks or sliding panels. Could definitely display the building panels, building costs, storage, limits, robots, material collection, etc at all times or at least use on-hover tooltips. I'm all for minimalism, but not at the cost of playability.

The art and music and overall atmosphere are really good!

I don't want to miss out on what looks like a really nice and polished game, so I'll definitely try again later when I have more time.

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-15T23:16:18Z

I gave it another try. I'm really impressed with what you managed to create within 48 hours! My feedback with the UX still stands, but you get used to it after a while... I understand you wanted to keep the pixel size consistent - I ran into the same problem when creating lower-res pixel art (which I very much adore!), and I think you should've compromised on the consistency and just used smaller fonts. If you expand on this game, probably make it *just* a bit higher res so the fonts won't look inconsistent with the low-res style.

I have some nit-picky feedback too if that's alright: - I would love the option to deactivate buildings. It's probably only helpful at the beginning though... - I didn't really use the solar panels tbh. I spammed reactors - The pylons adding endless space felt a bit... Cheaty? - I think there should be more restrictive / hostile elements... Currently, the challenge comes from simply gathering resources and making room, organizing, etc... - It was not clear you could add more robots than the maximum amount, and for some structures it didnt' seem to do anything - If the goal is to create just 1 of each human structure, there should probably be a big green checkmark on the building in the construction panel when you do just to make it clearer. - I did run into the lag spike issue but I managed to finish the game regardless!

Screenshot Capture - 2023-10-16 - 02-05-43.png

I think this game can definitely be expanded, with more missions, more challenges, maybe something dangerous to defend your colony from, maybe some story elements, etc. But I like it a lot. I really enjoyed the theme too! Well done :)

Space! Ltd. by Boyar 2023-10-05T16:39:02Z

I was skeptical at first tbh, didn't think it was for me, but it totally grew on me. It's a really chill and fun game and it's just nice finishing those puzzles. I found myself totally invested! Congrats on a great entry :)

Super Low Memory Bot by LaserPanzerWal 2023-10-13T19:12:26Z

Cool puzzle game! Loved the tiny robot and I enjoyed the retro gameboy vibes. Unfortunately I gave up here:

Screenshot Capture - 2023-10-13 - 22-01-40.png

There's a lot going on here and I tried a bunch of times but kinda lost interest at that point... However the level design is clever and I did enjoy playing the game!

Also, I would've loved the option to skip the level-solution replay :)

Bedris by gabahulk 2023-10-17T12:42:36Z

Cute, cozy and relaxing! Just a little buggy (sometimes, when rotating, stuff would disappear). Well done!

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-05T09:46:53Z

Absolutely fantastic. My only wish is that there was more elaborate in-game tutorial, tooltips, etc. But the lack of those is acceptable considering this was made in 3 days! I'll definitely be playing more of this. Congratulations!

Space Shark Inc. by greenphox 2023-10-05T10:38:01Z

Interesting game! Was it inspired by Outer Wilds? I got all endings except the last. I wish I could move with the keyboard btw

Picky Plants by chybby 2023-10-03T15:14:34Z

A fun, cute and quite challening puzzle game! I made it to level 19. Not sure if I liked the combination of chess though. It was nice but a bit confusing telling the pieces a part and felt a bit out of place. The art, music and UX are great!

I wish the game communicated the plants' happiness without having to re-plant them though, maybe a small icon next to each plant when pressing a key or something :)

Prickle by Kultuk 2023-10-03T09:44:49Z

This is great! Both the puzzles, aesthetics and audio - the overall style is really cute. I scratched my head a few times but managed to beat it :) Great job!

Animal Teleporting by JamesW 2023-10-07T09:37:00Z

Very interesting concept for the theme, with cute art and quite challenging puzzles! Well done 😁

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-02T21:31:14Z

@anthonich did you try on browser? I'm looking into it... Thanks for letting me know!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-02T21:39:08Z

@anthonich I just checked on mac on both Safari and Chrome and it works. I will check on another mac tomorrow. Does it show any message? Do you see anything? 😞

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T09:25:37Z

@kultuk yay!! thanks :D Glad you love it!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T10:47:35Z

@gyrooo Thank you! Glad you love the game :D

@bauke-regnerus Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! you can turn it off by pressing 'C' btw. I know some people don't like the CRT effect that's why I added the option to disable it. Maybe I should've also added an in-game button prompt for that 😬

@magalix Thank you!

@keely-brown Thank you! I actually started working on the undo button but I didn't have enough time for that, and I prioritized making levels. It's a shame because an undo button is a must in such a game imo. Oh well

@namnam Thank you! Puzzle games are tough to make! I made a few puzzle games before so I'm a bit accustomed to crafting levels for them, etc. You should definitely give it go! Maybe in a non-jam environment. You can do it!! :D

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T11:30:57Z

@denzel Thank you! Yeah, the difficulty curve could be a bit smoother too..

@nishikku 😎Thanks!

@rongon Cool! Thanks! I love retro games so I'm glad to see this is the vibe you got. I usually make dark games so this time I decided to challenge myself and make something cozy

@handsomeshan thanks, in jam 53 I made a game without an in-game tutorial and controls and it's something I knew I'm not skipping this time. I'm glad I didn't!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T14:16:20Z

@chybby - happy to hear you enjoyed the game! This one is a bit tricky.

**spoiler:** you need to get the right turtle to the top then use it to block the left turtle in order to reach both carrots! I will probably add a video with solutions to all levels soon as well

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T14:43:06Z

@peremily yeah, I published the game knowing 100% that I'll get feedback on the missing undo button. I wonder if it's something I could add in an update, or if that's against the rules, because most of the code for it is ready and it's a shame. Glad you enjoyed the game :D

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T20:25:13Z

@brusi Thanks! And yeah, did it myself. It was very challenging, I'm really glad I pushed through! 😁 Happy you had fun!

@hagamosvideojuegos Thanks for the candy! I needed it. I hope it's not licorice πŸ˜‚ Glad my game invoked childhood memories!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-03T21:24:12Z

@logan-core don't worry, your secret stays with me! 🀐 Understandable. Glad you enjoyed the game! Thanks for playing :)

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-04T12:34:10Z

@stevenjmiller Hi, really happy to hear you love the game :)

**Level 9** - That solution was indeed uninteded. One of my friends who playtested the game managed to solve it that way so I was aware of it. I decided to leave it in since it still teaches you a similar lesson. I prefer the levels having one solution, but I discovered this one a bit too late. Level 11 could also be solved in multiple ways..

**Level2** - Oh, that makes more sense. Good call!

**Inputs** - Yeah, I get that. Happened to me too. Do you think there's something I can do to improve this? I don't want the player to move while things are happening on the board obviously..

**Undo button** - the code for it is actually almost done, it's a shame I didn't manage to finish that, because this game really needs this feature! I published the game fully knowing this will be a pain point. πŸ˜…

Thanks for the feedback!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-04T16:22:42Z

@stevenjmiller πŸ‘Œ Will check Monster's Expeditiion. Undo is probably the easiest to implement in a short time, yeah.

@raassh23 Glad you enjoyed the game ^_^

@polinachrr thank you! It was really important for me to add in-game instructions in this jam, happy it made your experience better!

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-06T12:17:09Z

Thanks to everyone above for the kind words and feedback!

@meep - yeah, I designed the levels on the third day. That made up almost the entire work of that day. I would've loved the add new mechanics and had a few ideas, but I stored those for a possible post-jam version because I barely had any time left lol

@catusfelony - noted, if I make a post-jam version I'll definitely be doing changes to that.

@ace17 - sorry about level 17, it's really tough XD Glad you beat it!!

@zungryware - I'll definitely be adding the undo button (which I almost finished but had to scrap due to time limits) to a post-jam version if I make it. I'll also improve the input of course. :)

@shmi - a possible solution to that would be to make an icon or something that appears if the player attempts to move in reverse too much, maybe even accompanied by a sound an a screenshake.

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-06T21:33:10Z

@jamesw level 17 is really difficult. There probably should've been at least 5 levels before that to justifiy its difficutly. πŸ˜…

I made the levels in the editor without drawing on paper or using other software. My level making process is a bit chaotic -- I throw stuff at the board and do a lot of play tests to see what sticks, then the concepts start to emerge on their own. I spent a few hours in total working on most of the levels, and about an hour on level 17 which was the most difficult to create. After that I tested the levels with friends and made some tweaks.

Happy to hear you liked the game! Cheers 😁

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-07T08:25:01Z

@jamesw thank you! I think it really depends on the complexity of the puzzles. For one of my other puzzles game, the toughest part was to come up with challenging levels, I was so frustrated I felt like giving up! Also, yeah, the introductory levels shouldn't really be considered levels tbh πŸ˜…

Troubled Turtles by Aviv Levy 2023-10-09T09:29:17Z

@konfekt Glad you enjoyed the game! I may have needed to add a visual marker for that, but you can toggle the crt effect by pressing 'c'.

Torch by Gyrooo 2023-10-03T11:22:09Z

Interesting game, reminds me of dungeon crawling in D&D in which you have a limited amount of light. I found it kind of easy though, and the size of the maze was bit overwhelming at first. I think it would've been better if the game started in a smaller chamber in which you learned how the mechanics worked, then it would gradually lead you into bigger rooms. I liked the spinny circle in the center! Overall very nice entry, and the art & audio are good. Congrats!

Bullfrog Burnie by Logan_Core 2023-10-04T11:18:10Z

Very nice game! - Art, Music & SFX are great - The game is really polished - The frog movement is smooth and adds a layer of challenge

However, I think the game is a bit too difficult. Some jumps are really finicky, I even struggled at the tutorial where I needed to fall to the right then jump in the air... Maybe I just suck at jump challenges though 🀣 Honestly I got frustrated and gave up pretty quickly, but I do appreciate how well-made the game is. Congrats!

Out of Spacetime by bellicapelli 2023-10-03T17:32:55Z

Very cool!

- Graphics are fantastic! - Audio is awesome, I loved the attention to details and how everything gets more intense the closer you are to the black hole! The music is killer, right up my alley. - Gameplay is nice, but a bit too fast and gets repetitive fast... It's hard to reach pickups and avoid obstacles. - Overall this is fantastic. The Audio & Visuals are the best part imo. Very impressive!

Dino Extinction by Ryn 2023-10-13T17:19:55Z

Interesting concept! I feel like there should be more to this however, maybe something to pick up, maybe the map getting smaller (or craters not disappearing) after a while, etc.

Controlling two dinos at the same time a was overwhelming for me and would've probably enjoyed this more on multiplayer. Also, at first I could do nothing and not get hit, maybe this needs an adjustment.

Cute graphics & Art!

THE RAT - Adventures in a limited space by Magalix 2023-10-03T21:21:15Z

While it's obvious that you did not manage to finish the game in time, it's cool that you stuck with it and published it any way, I admire that. I can see where this was supposed to go. The art is cute :)

I will definitely try the post-jam version if you make it!

LD55 — Summoning

A Tale of Six Rites by graebor 2024-04-20T08:12:17Z

Awesome concept and great experience. A bit too easy, could definitely amp up the challenge, but I enjoyed it a lot and finished it. The art and music are both really good.

Virtua Bob by MSolomon 2024-04-26T14:18:26Z

One of my favourite games this jam lol. The narration and story were an awesome addition. It's simple, fun and well executed. A bit short and easy, but that's totally fine for a jam. Would love to see more of this! Congrats!

Beckoned to Battle by firellon 2024-04-19T11:59:36Z

Cool concept! Quite hard. Capturing takes a long time, too, although it makes sense to give entities enough time to react. It felt a bit hectic jumping between trying to capture, recruit and defend. Reminds me of mount and blade btw :)

Summoning Instructions by Yxure 2024-04-17T10:04:03Z

That was trippy. Loved it :)

I wish it could be a bit longer. I liked completing the ritual and maybe there could be more depth to that. The ending was a very nice addition.

Sheep Tunes by kazuo256 2024-04-21T12:17:15Z

The art and music and vibes are really lovely, gives me a sense of openness and freedom. But I had no idea what I was doing. I tried to match the cards' color themes with the sheep but still wasn't sure I'm going about this the right way. I understand it needs have some challenge with matching the right cards to the right sheep, but I think it should've been a bit more telegraphed and cohesive. Also not sure what the wolves did? One approached my flock but I'm not sure what it did.

Spirit, are you there? by namnam 2024-04-27T12:36:56Z

Wow, such a cool concept. I liked feeling like a ghost and seeing the reactions of the participants. I got stuck at the "who is next to die" prompt. Not sure if this is a bug or I'm missing something. My only feedback is that sometimes the text hides the board and that probably shouldn't happen :) Cool game.

Dark Roast Cafè by outstar 2024-04-21T22:57:05Z

The art is beautiful! I'm not really sure I understood what's going on. Didn't get the stats, or what was the eye thingy at the top right, etc. I think a tooltip would've been amazing! At one point I had like 7k-8k coins which is a lot more than 666 which felt too easy, so I'm not sure I got it right (I did do the tutorial).

I also encountered some bugs, like demons not sitting down at the tables when I added tables, or a summon completing but nothing showing up at the 3 slots (maybe I cancelled it somehow?).

Cool game! Very impressed with the art

If Only by Le Slo 2024-04-21T17:10:03Z

Beautiful game. Very challenging! I gave up here: Screenshot_21-4-2024_2094_le-slo.itch.io.jpeg but I enjoyed it a lot. The music was sad and charming at the same time :)

Fiend-Zone by gord10ahmet 2024-04-17T23:12:25Z

Loved the twist on the bullet heaven / survivor genre and how each enemy was unique! I think the movement and collisions could be a bit smoother though.

Summons of the Sovereign by Hare Software 2024-04-26T14:47:37Z

Wow, this is awesome. Took a bit of trial and error to understand the mechanics, but they work really well, and the AI is clever, and the voice acting is brilliant! Loved the "Point and click is my favourite genre" remark lol. I also found it very interesting that units were faction neutral.

This could definitely become a full release. No, not could, should -- please make a full game out of this. It's amazing this was created in 3 days tbh.

Arcane Anagrams by edj99 2024-04-25T21:08:57Z

I like this game a lot, loved the challenge and the speed/music increase, and the art is very nice. It feels like it was designed for a phone though - the buttons are too far apart and no hotkeys (unless I missed those?). It was also a bit difficult to "catch" the runes, so I would've appreciated if they were a tad bigger. A fullscreen option would've been great too! Very cool entry nonetheless.

Summoning for Hungry Wizards by TheMoonrise 2024-04-20T08:27:07Z

Quite a challenging game, but I like it a lot. Loved the crisp scratching of the board, and getting a lemon is really satisfying too lol with that "lemonnn". I wish this game held my hand a bit though, maybe help me progress between at least some of the ingredients, etc, although I liked the idea of figuring out things myself -- it felt like I was a mad wizard actually trying to summon pizza by trial and error. Congrats on a really nice entry :)

Raising the Bread by ZuhairGhias 2024-04-21T11:06:10Z

I think it's a good concept and the art is lovely, but the combat, movement and summoning felt slow, and I found myself getting a bit bored at first waiting for enemies to spawn. Also, there was some lack of feedback for getting hit, etc. I think this is easily remediable by amping up the action, adding more feedback and making the game a bit faster. Maybe have more playable area and allow the player to progress faster, too!

In other words, more action please!! πŸ˜€

Other than that, people should start finishing their sandwiches and chocolate bars! What a waste lol :)

Ancestral by deformhead 2024-04-21T10:24:11Z

Cool and short! Loved the art. Definitely missing some music and sfx but I liked it!

HTON by deniskazantsev 2024-04-22T21:54:58Z

Dark. Cool visuals, too. That hand effect is so cool. It felt like the game is forcing me down a dark path, but I guess that was intended. I wish there was more to this - more choices, more visuals, etc, but it was interesting to see the decisions and where they lead.

Good Night! Sleep with the Demon! by edugpinheiro 2024-04-22T22:06:10Z

Very cute! Art and sound are really good. Gameplay was a bit unintuitive, and imo it needs feedback for getting the right sheep and for not holding the keys.

Tao by leorean 2024-04-22T23:13:27Z

This game is really cool and very well executed. Got some fps drops at times btw.

However, I dislike spikes + jump puzzles. I pushed through quite a bit despite that. I gave up after getting the third ability - I wasn't sure where to go (maybe being tired didn't help) and felt like I was backtracking too much.

But I did like the game a lot, the art is fantastic too. Congrats!

Alvo Canto by LoicLeGrosFrere 2024-04-16T14:58:02Z

Interesting concept! Loved how the music reacts to the selection of the instruments. The gibberish was funny too. Apparently, I'm pretty bad at this game because I kept getting it wrong lol. Is there a maximum amount of stuff that can be thrown into the pot? Also, I wasn't sure how discovery works - If I understand correctly, you discover properties only when you create the correct creature...

Wizzy Wizzy by Fractal 2024-04-24T17:28:23Z

Wow, this is really cool! I liked it a lot. The visuals and audio are fantastic. The gameplay is fun. It does feel a bit rock-paper-scissorsy though, and I think that once one side flops it becomes a bit of a downward slope towards defeat or victory.

Summonion by KeithSwanger 2024-04-20T18:32:48Z

That was fun! Loved the art and SFX! The levels could definitely be shorter though...

Orion by Ben Toosey 2024-04-16T11:31:15Z

This game is gorgeous, well done. I wasn't sure if I could summon different kind of minions, and I tried several types of combinations, and it wasn't clear what the selection of the stars affect. The stars could be a bit bigger too :) But this is really neat. Congrats!

Ultimate Mage Fighting by Rokevicius 2024-04-16T13:21:46Z

Love the aesthetics and the attention to details with smashing the table, moving the mouse etc. The music loop could be a bit longer.

Sinful Scoops by Blue Pin Studio 2024-04-19T11:44:35Z

This game is really good! It's a creative and unique yet a faithful take on the theme. I actually played until the end and only got one ice cream wrong. The art, music, gameplay and execution are all fantastic. I wish it would be a bit more challenging, but I had a lot of fun playing. Congrats!

School is Hell by Gizmo199 2024-04-20T09:26:01Z

This looks really really good! But unfortunately, there's something iffy going on with the mouse sensitivity on the web version which makes it hard to play

Horrors from Beyond - The Bayou by GameDevTraum 2024-04-21T10:39:04Z

I enjoyed the suspense and the art. I died at the door waiting for the animation to finish which felt a bit unfair.

I think the chase to the final door needed something more - maybe traps, things to avoid on the way, something that can potentially slow you down or speed you up to make it more thrilling as it felt a bit flat.

Solid entry nonetheless!

Demonic Panic by Guilloteam 2024-04-18T12:11:36Z

This is awesome. Fun, easy to pick up, good concept, well executed, looks great and the music is great. Congrats!!

Demanager by satacat 2024-04-23T11:03:31Z

This is a very interesting concept! The art and music were great, though I did not like the constant ticking of the clock, it was distracting. I also accidentally pressed the bell a bunch of times as it was way too close to the book.

I wasn't 100% sure about the rules, I thought they were strict at first but realized at a later stage that "it doesn't matter if the symbol is wrong this time" etc. It was interesting, but I did not find it very challenging, and think the levels may have been a bit too long.

Very nice game regardless!

Dry Season by HolyPerceval 2024-04-17T11:33:39Z

Very cool! The music is fun and I liked how the people represent my HP. I really did not want them to die but I kinda suck lol. Level 1 was a breeze but 2 is tough! Congrats on a very solid entry.

The only very minor detail that could be improved imo is that the inputs (and ui) felt unrelated to the theme. Would be cool if they had a wooden texture and a fitting font or something.

The Royal Writ by Save Sloth Studios 2024-04-17T11:58:35Z

Congrats on creating an absolutely fun, gorgeous and fully fleshed out game in 3 days. Intro! World map?! Cards selection?! Dynamic music? The attention to details is astonishing. This is obviously the works of experts, and it is awesome.

Sky Dudes by osh.studio 2024-04-26T14:06:40Z

Very cool concept, I like it a lot. It's pretty nice watching your island grow. But I think it needs more love!

- I wish I could see more around me. - I would've loved to be able to use the wind ability with a mouse click (and to hold it) - I think the wind could recharge faster. Or maybe I could build stuff that harvest more wind? etc... - The icons are way, way too big. - There were many idle moments in which there wasn't much to do but wait for the wind to recharge. - And yeah, as others mentioned, sky dudes can fly! haha

I would love to see this getting expanded!

Command: Summon by Gastar 2024-04-24T17:16:59Z

That was very nice! Only managed 5/7. I think I found a bug with hp? I spammed guns and enemies and somehow... Didn't die?

Anyway very cool entry.

Summonware by HelperWesley 2024-04-25T21:02:59Z

Very cool concept and fantastic art and sounds. It does get a repetitive after a while, since I keep getting the same challenges, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for a jam. Well done!

Poisonous Pact by Stefan Funke 2024-04-18T10:23:17Z

Love love love this. Somehow reminds me of Gobliiins. Everything about this is great - the art, the sound, the concept and execution. Welldone. I only wish it would be a bit longer, and maybe if there was a tooltip so I didn't have to look down every time I hovered the pointer over an item. Also, for clarity's sake, maybe the wizard puts the object you give him on the table until he requests a new object, because it was a bit confusing at first.

Ribbit Craft by Kerioth 2024-04-23T16:10:32Z

It was very nice experimenting with different recipes, but after finding quite a bit, I didn't feel motivated to find all of them. Having ingredients unlock throughout was a nice addition, though.

I like the cozy vibes of the game, but I would've loved if there was more to this, maybe more social-media related elements, etc.

The art and sounds were great, too :)

Ghostslayer by ThatFirey 2024-04-17T09:28:07Z

I haven't noticed parts of the screen were cut off for some reason and I only realized there's this blue bar to the bottom left after pressing escape to see if there's an upgrade menu or something. Unfortunately, the game froze when I did that, and I had to start over :(

On my 2nd run I only later realized I could press control to select a new weapon, but it was kinda tough to figure out how to do that while being swarmed.

Other than that, I think progression could be a bit faster and that the movement could do with some smoothing.

But solid entry nonetheless. :)

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-16T14:09:31Z

@yoyoj I wanted to associate every demon with the same sequence, but I understand it gets repetitive. The game does select one of three random sequences-patterns at the beginning for all demons though. And thanks :D

@willby @darsor Currently the game is about surviving long enough to beat it. I wanted to implement proper scoring but I didn't enough time!

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-16T20:22:47Z

Wow, that's a lot of comments. 😍

Really appreciate everyone who played and commented! I'll do my best to play your games soon. 😁

I definitely think the game could be a bit more melodic and maybe even have an accompanying backing track. It should probably have a high score feature and maybe more varieties.

@jm2k I wanted to differentiate between a3 and a4 etc, but ended up using capital letters for the higher notes as a workaround because I didn't have enough time to properly implement the number next to the letter without making the number an actual part of the sequence. πŸ˜…

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-18T18:13:15Z

Thanks for the comments and feedback, will definitely think about everything written here.

@themoonrise it was a challenge to mix this game with rhythm tbh. Typing games encourage the fastest action possible and rhythm games well obviously constrain you to a rhythm otherwise they wouldn't be one. But I think this could be something I experiment with in a possible post jam update. There is the easy solution of making each demon appear rhythmically, but it should probably still be balanced with some randomness for the added typing challenge. This is something I would've definitely done if I had more time haha

BTW, the game has three different seeds for the sequences, and there's one that sounds a lot nicer than the other two.

@p-man I actually added a rain background ambience but removed it at the last moment because it was too distracting. So I totally agree. Would love to add an accompanying track in the future too!

@thimmythimble that was the goal, but unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to polish this, as I was coding until the very last moment. IMO there should definitely be more varieties of demons with different sequences

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-19T13:49:41Z

@iroroi would love to know what confused you :)

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-19T16:36:17Z

@dimi-kaye Ough... thanks for letting me know! I didn't have a lot of time to test this feature unfortunately. It's probably not relevant, but:

- If other software is using the midi keyboard it won't work. - It only works on desktop.

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-19T16:38:18Z

@iroroi lol I get it. I'm wondering, did you use the numpad or 1-0? The game is a lot more playable with the numpad! Anyway thanks for playing!

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-19T21:51:16Z

@paul-maaswinkel πŸ˜‚

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-20T19:44:26Z

@lamp-p Unfortunately, I coded until the very last moment and had little to no time left to experiment with and hone the musical aspect of the game, as well as make the SFX, but I totally agree and see this as a missed opportunity. It's a shame because this game is about music! If I make a post-jam update, I'll definitely improve on this.

Btw, the game randomly selects one of three seeds for the sequences and there's one that sounds a lot nicer and makes more sense. In retrospect I should've removed the other two haha

Thanks for your feedback!

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-21T15:43:48Z

@chybby sanity loss is exponential until it reaches the maximum loss per frame, so it gradually becomes more difficult. But at the same time, tougher demons restore more sanity! Making mistakes also causes sanity loss, but only if you land on a note that is not on the board (to make it a bit fairer).

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-21T19:39:01Z

@outstar thanks πŸ˜€ I'm not sure I understand. When "ced" ghost appears, if you do "c", then change your mind and do "d,a", the "ced" sequence that started is cancelled but the "da" is successful. I just tested it to make sure...

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-21T20:59:38Z

@outstar Ough, that's a new one then! Thanks for letting me know. Did that happen once, or was it like that throughout?

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-22T09:56:27Z

@iolis-lui Thank you! Glad you like it :D This leads me to think I should probably add (in a post jam update) an indicator of sanity being restored and how much of it. Because larger, tougher demons restore more sanity, so it can be wise to let them sit for a while until you need them.

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-04-22T21:56:51Z

@deniskazantsev I just played your game, love the art. It feels like an ominous piano track would work well with it haha

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-05-01T09:41:14Z

@fractal Hi! thanks for playing and for the feedback. I did make sure each seed has "intertwining" sequences, but they are not always at the same sequence as the other seed, and the 354-41 seed does this best. Will definitely improve the seeds in a post jam update if I make one 😁

bergs by burnttoastdev 2024-04-17T11:18:52Z

What an awesome concept! And well executed, too. Needs an undo button, although for a jam it's ok :) Congrats!

NECRO RUSH by helviett 2024-04-17T09:42:19Z

Beware the ninja zombies! Very cool entry. Cool art, smooth animations, easy to pick up and fun. Well done!

DURO by Fenix131113 2024-04-21T13:25:48Z

This was really good. The gameplay is fun and challenging, and the art and music are lovely.

I got stuck on the level with the 4 cylinders (last image on this page). I didn't realize you could place wizards on those cylinders until my last attempt, then I accidentally went back to the menu, so I'll retry it again some other time because I don't want to do everything all over again.

My only feedback is that it would be cool, when hovering a wizard's token over a tile you'd see a green outline or something so you know you can place it over there, and that the wizards actually looked at the direction they're active.

Really liked this game!

The Wickedness by IRoRoI 2024-04-20T09:00:09Z

Very impressed with this game, especially the art and style. Combat was a bit unintuitive for me and took some trial and error to figure out though

Illegal Summonings by FFenril 2024-04-22T20:39:58Z

That was a very cool concept, I felt like a demonic detective. Very creative. A bit too easy and too short, would love it if the game was more detective-y. Please let us skip the intro too, it was a bit too long for my taste - I wanted to get to the game and almost gave up before it even started... πŸ˜…

Other than that, there should probably be some sort of consequence for being wrong? Not sure about this but otherwise I assume you could just guess until you get it right? I didn't guess but I did get it wrong once.

Summoner's Speakeasy by HollowBearGames 2024-04-16T14:04:36Z

The art and soundtrack are πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ And I appreciated the art deco vibes. I really liked the idea that you need to connect a type of potion to an emotion.

I agree with the previous commenter that a tutorial is needed though... Sadly, I lost a bunch of times simply by taking the time to read and trying to understand the game. I wish it was possible to skip the cutscene when retrying because it made me wait every time I lost.

The leave game button is probably not suited for the web version btw :)

Summoner's Speakeasy by HollowBearGames 2024-04-16T18:46:48Z

@hollowbeargames awesome, I'll give it another try :)

Akino's Dungeon by Risminator 2024-04-21T13:04:38Z

I died a lot. Way too difficult! Please give us more HP, show more of the screen and make the enemies a bit slower. The first upgrade was the reason I died multiple times as well, because enemies were close and suddenly I have only 1 orb instead of 5-6... Fast enemies often showed up from outside the screen giving me almost no chance to react, too.

Edit: it does seem fun btw! Just needs that hp bar to be more enjoyable imo!

Slaymore by Joshua Miller-Pio 2024-04-24T12:45:36Z

The art and logo are really charming and have a great retro aesthetics. I see and appreciate the effort and love that went into this game! But I do have some feedback πŸ™‚

The music was nice, but the jump and hit sfx were a bit harsh on the ears and needed to be tuned down a bit.

It's quite difficult to control the character. Acceleration and friction need to be a lot greater than now, so the player reaches the maximum speed a lot faster and goes to 0 a lot faster, too. Jump could be finetuned to that as well.

The attack animation was a bit glitchy, especially when jumping, and I think the animation should start without delay when clicking. It was also a bit difficult to get into a position in which I can successfully attack enemies, especially if there were a bit lower than me - my character instantly landed on their heads, etc. I think the player shouldn't be lifted in the air when hit too.

I think the player shouldn't collide with their summons, too, as it was a bit difficult to fight enemies when they're blocked by them.

To sum it up, if you improve the collisions and movement, and make the sfx a bit softer, it'll really enhance the experience of the game.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-15T12:02:07Z

This is great! Fresh and fun 😁 I liked how the game added stuff instead of just going faster to increase the difficulty.

Jelly Gang by Split82 2024-10-14T10:04:07Z

A really interesting concept and very well executed, I'm impressed with how well the physics work! Imo some puzzles could be split into different levels, and I felt that sometimes it could be a bit too finicky and I would get a little frustrated. I think this can be remedied by making the controls faster.

Really good entry! Congrats.

Fireflies by manabreak 2024-10-15T10:20:46Z

Cool game, Loved the concept. Very charming. The SFX was a bit harsh, but the music I liked more! The puzzles were a bit easy, except for the last one which took some trial and error until I figured it out. It was engaging, so I finished it πŸ˜„Screenshot Capture - 2024-10-15 - 13-17-48.png

Oh, and the music doesn't loop btw

Chanterune by Kerdelos 2024-10-15T08:48:49Z

This is a really cool concept and pretty well executed! The art and music are both very charming and the gameplay is unique.

It reminds me a lot of the game Loom, in which you learn different songs to solve puzzles, and you learn them by interacting with the environment. I wonder if this somehow inspired you?

I do have some feedback: - I really (really) struggled with the controls. It was hard to connect keyboard-key-to-musical-note, especially when I had more songs. I think this can be improved by making the symbols actual letters. - I think the movement feels a bit stiff. - Spoiler (I did not like the dark part. It's cool that I can light the fireflies, so it could be just me. I just don't like having to navigate pitch-black-zones, I find them frustrating). - It would be cool if each song had a symbol so I can remember what it does :) - I also think the songs could affect things for longer. - I liked how songs can connect!

Chanterune by Kerdelos 2024-10-15T09:18:07Z

@tyrannas I totally understand wanting the player to have to decipher the runes, so it's hard to balance. Maybe the puzzle could be about figuring out the song, (like how song parts can be scattered), and less about remembering the controls. Maybe after deciphering runes they turn into letters. Just some thoughts 🀩

Critter Switcher by torcado 2024-10-14T10:27:00Z

Probably my favorite game in this jam so far! The loop is so satisfying, I like how enemies have different patterns, I like having to reach the checkpoints and I love the vibe!

- Music slows down until it becomes... Noise. Needs to be fixed :) - Holding buttons to respawn/retry needs to have a visual, I kept releasing before the fadeout ended! - The game could really benefit from a tutorial or helping tooltips!

A very small seed by vidarn 2024-10-22T18:43:23Z

That was really nice! The art, music, presentation, colors, everything is great! My only feedback is that it was bit short, and maybe a bit too easy (although that's ok, it's an experience, too!)

Silk & Snare by MartensCedric 2024-10-15T16:14:51Z

Cool web physics! A bit short. And hey, who threw that?! So rude.

Tiny Apple by DocGeraud 2024-10-12T20:19:22Z

This is really cute! I love the art, the little voices and the sound effects. I think maybe the progress could be a bit faster or that I had more things to do while waiting.

Cool entry!

Sammich by ColeSlaughter 2024-10-14T08:41:19Z

Very high production quality and fun concept! Well done! :D

Carrot Patch by Historymaker118 2024-10-15T08:31:05Z

Really cool entry, and very well executed! The concept is simple and fun. Loved the addition of the funky carrot that makes it harder to avoid trucks, especially since you'd have to look twice and make sure you don't misstep when it's over! I wish there was a bit more variety of vegetables and trucks maybe, but considering this was made in 48 hours it already feels complete! Congrats :)

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-15T10:47:23Z

Cool game! I loved the minigames and the horror twist. I loved how streamlined the controls were, and the music was nice. During the blob's simon says mini-game the sound of the notes would sometimes get cutt-off.

I wonder if there's more than one ending, but I assume not haha

Waddle by grizeldi 2024-10-15T16:08:34Z

Love the art and vibe, and the game design is clever!

Some feedback:

- Failing the level should reload and keep my current setup, instead of going back to the level selection. - Arrows felt unintuitive. Would've been better if the arrows were below the ducks, or if you could simply drag and drop to rearrange!

Purrfect Drift by Rewzu 2024-10-23T12:01:47Z

It's a really neat concept, but it feels like the other cats always have an advantage, so it definitely needs some balancing and maybe a bit less slippery controls. The camera also made it a bit more difficult to play.

Imo this game will be awesome with some adjustments, music and a more vibrant theme (these corridors feel dark and cursed)

Really cool entry though!

Blood Crux by Dmitry Kaidash 2024-10-11T20:13:02Z

Wow! The presentation is absolutely fantastic, love the smooth animations and retro graphics. The player character is really cool! It's fun to destroy chunks of enemies and it was an interesting decision to balance the bars between forms.

- I think the camera is too close, could be a bit further away from the player, and maybe have some smoothness to it, since it felt a little stiff.

- Would've loved some upgrades and more abilities, maybe this could be explored in a post jam update!

This definitely feels like it could be expanded into a world-exploring-hacking-and-slashing-vampire-adventure game! Congrats πŸ‘Œ

Tiny Terrarium by dnich013 2024-10-11T18:20:34Z

Cool game! This was a nice cozy break :)

Would've loved to add a small river to my tiny forest! Would've loved to have better control of the camera and maybe exporting an image.

Snail away by Thomas_Bringer 2024-10-15T15:25:09Z

OK this was really cute and super polished, with smooth movement and lots of juice. Really awesome that you managed all this in 48 hours, you should be proud! It feels like I'm playing fancy pants, but wit a snail! 🀩

G-news by Aune 2024-10-22T18:49:49Z

The music is πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ Is this game supposed to be about gnomes? I didn't see any...

Springtail by KeithSwanger 2024-10-12T10:48:11Z

Pretty cool! But definitely needs checkpoints πŸ˜… Would also appreciate to be able to control the camera. And maybe more detailed environment (but it's understandable for a jam!)

Tiny Space Quest by betovf 2024-10-15T18:39:30Z

It's a cool game, very challenging. I don't wanna know what hard mode has in store XD

Cyber Critter by rucksack 2024-10-15T11:05:00Z

This is a really clever and fun game! I love turn based combat, and being able to change my units' abilities based on body parts created a fun experimentation-experience! I like how the music changes based on the turn, and I liked how defeating different enemies unlocked new body parts!

Some feedback:

- While it wasn't hard to learn the different abilities, I think they could be streamlined in the movement phase, so I can prevent making mistakes. - I think duck-duck-roboconveyerlegs is kinda op. That was my build and I obliterated everything.

I think you got something here that can be expanded!

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-14T21:36:09Z

@shoppncart It's not going forever, there's an ending. :)

Thanks a lot everyone for the kind words and feedback! We're looking into the game-breaking impossible jumps!

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-15T08:56:52Z

@schadocalex Thanks for the feedback and for playing! I agree the game could be more challenging. The score is displayed to the top-left of the screen, but it only shows once you've eaten something. I wonder if maybe you missed the part of having to eat stuff off the fish's teeth, because this also makes the game more challenging!

This is something we needed to better communicate at the start of the game.

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-15T09:05:26Z

@schadocalex you have to get close to the food and then hold the interact button (z/enter/spacebar), until the food is eaten :)

We definitely need to tutorialize this. Sorry about that haha

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-15T13:15:14Z

Thanks for playing!

The theme tiny creatures brought the idea of cleaner shrimps, which are a lot smaller than the animals they clean, usually. The game is inspired by Icy Tower combined with the symbiosis between the sea animals, hence escaping the mouth part.

Screenshot Capture - 2024-10-15 - 16-12-07.png

Sometimes the shrimp goes inside the mouth of the fish, risking being eaten, even though it very rarely happens.

RPigG by WeirdBitGames 2024-10-15T16:27:04Z

This is really clever! From the name, to the art direction and to the gameplay, this is a complete package with intertwined systems and a cool loop. Congratulations on a polished, fun, engaging and well made entry! Also great job on explaining how the game works.

I'm not sure why I'm asked if I want to keep an item, but I'm probably missing something, because why won't I take extra swords, etc?

Also, I wish I could play the game with the keyboard or mouse only, i.e clicking the pig to progress. The roulette arrows are a bit too small and could have a much large box so they'll be easier to click.

Shrimple by Ron88 2024-10-22T18:38:31Z

Cute and short game! I think the movement could be a bit smoother and faster. I really enjoyed the added voice acting and the hand trying to squash.

Shrimps unite!

Please Find Them by AdamLenglen 2024-10-15T11:47:05Z

Really polished and well executed game with a high production quality. Figuring out the locations of the creatures was easy at first, but it got complicated with larger maps and more vague descriptions. The difficulty ramp worked well. The conversations was a nice addition, too.

I really don't have any feedback honestly. Well done!

Slug Sprooch by Mael Rios 2024-10-15T11:28:51Z

Cute game! Sometimes picking animals didn't work correctly. Those cars are cruel 😡

Small Problems To Grapple With by Tetracold 2024-10-14T11:31:53Z

Simple and fun gameloop, very cool art direction! Got to 79! I think controls could be a bit more dynamic and fluid. I'm not sure how, but it felt a bit stiff.

Bug Out by smurpy02 2024-10-15T11:54:00Z

Definitely needs more time in the oven since it's just a tutorial. I actually think it could be nice to be able to also control the spider. Some sound effects would be nice. I also don't think the music really fits. I do think you have a concept here that can be expanded!

Stuart's Perfect Day by James Poole 2024-10-15T09:29:17Z

The art direction is gorgeous and it really does feel like a perfect day, with the vibrant yellow wash and the calming music. I do however feel like there's something missing--while it's fun to click and see the little creatures and their names, it gets stale after a shot while, at least for me.

Here are some thoughts:

- Narration / Story - Bestiary that also highlights the different creatures you've caught - Day/night cycles because they looked gorgeous in your post! - More in-depth fishing mechanic, maybe with lures/baits

Stuart's Perfect Day by James Poole 2024-10-15T10:23:31Z

@james-poole totally understandable! Would love to see this expanded, it really captures a cozy vibe that reminds me of Moomins for some reason :O

LD58 — Collector

The Collector by Split82 2025-10-11T23:02:41Z

This is really unique concept and awesome execution. It felt a bit bad discarding orbs but it was also a nice incentive to survive and collect enough of them to progress. Definitely one of the best games I played in the jam!

Lunar Burden by Iluvatar 2025-10-17T14:44:24Z

Love point and click games, and the art is really good!! The game could have more puzzles, but it was still an enjoyable experience :)

Paper Fishing by iovorobiev 2025-10-08T18:54:57Z

Woooooooshh!! HAHA! Nomnomnom! Took me a moment to figure out how to play this but once everything clicked it was intuitive. I thought using fish you caught as bait was clever.

Outward by chuckeles 2025-10-07T20:32:52Z

Wow, this is really nice juicy and well executed. Especially loved the sound effects. Feel like it could be a bit faster though. Great entry, could definitely be expanded!

Implovisation by WilloXs 2025-10-17T14:34:34Z

That was really cool, although a bit too challenging. Was hoping each shape would have a different behavior, but it didn't seem so? Love the effects combined with minimalistic vibe!

Galactic Data Collector by Gat 2025-10-07T20:53:46Z

My favorite game in the jam so far! I really enjoyed the dialogues and felt immersed through out. The difficulty was just right, and I appreciated that the game told me if I succeeded. Printing those tickets was super satisfying. The art, sound, and sci-fi dystopian alien vibes are just πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘Œ

This needs to be expanded!

Blood and Bounty by Torami 2025-10-08T14:16:38Z

This was really cool!! I love turn based combat and wild west! Loved the wind sfx and cozy desert vibes.

- Could be nice if the range was shown on board - Took me a while to realize how using the gun and knife works - I think I found a bug? Two enemies stood next to each other, and both showed exclamation marks, and when I planned to use the knife against one of them, the other's exclamation mark disappeared as if he'd cancel his attack for some reason? Anyhow I ended up dying. - Not sure if it's intended, but the enemy AI could be a bit less random.

Cryptozootography by Jahwffrey 2025-10-07T20:07:01Z

This was soooo good, really enjoyed the comments too. Congrats! great entry :) At the end I wish I could see how many creatures I missed so I'd have more motivation to try again, but I think I did pretty well!

Can you give me a hand gesture? by She Wrote 2025-10-08T23:48:20Z

This was really cool. Simple, fun and engaging. My only complaint is that I didn't get to see the name of the last gesture as it immediately went to the 'done' screen.

Cornscripted by Chromaful 2025-10-11T23:51:16Z

This was really cool, increasing the span size was really satisfying, congrats on an awesome entry 😁

Call Hector by Pikario 2025-10-07T21:16:29Z

How did this not get more ratings?! That was so good. I solved it. Very tactile and fun to discover everything, and the difficulty felt great. Loved the ending. Awesome work!

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-06T23:30:00Z

Hi everyone, thanks for playing. There's a game breaking bug that prevented progress, on it!

EDIT: several major game breaking bugs fixed. Hopefully this is the last of them!

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-08T10:01:34Z

@eggnisi

Thanks for checking out my other game :)

**Those are completely different games:**

* **Steam** - puzzle strategy game in which you destroy tiles against a deterministicly spreading fungus. * **This game** - clicker / idle / incremental game in which you place buildings and create units and gather resources both manually and automatically.

Both are pixel-art tiles based games though. I guess I love tiles ⬛ ⬛ ⬛

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-08T11:43:26Z

@blatalzar Thanks! I really wanted to add upgrades (faster drones, faster resource output, extra yields, etc), new buildings, units and maybe a way of increasing the map size, but the scope was already very ambitious. Hopefully in a post-jam update!

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-09T09:21:53Z

@lrdjj Thanks for the kind words! I definitely wanted to expand on that, but the scope was already pretty ambitious for a jam. Beyond the obvious stuff (upgrades, new units, more buildings, etc), I’m curious if you have any ideas on how to better hit that exponential sweet spot.

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-09T19:01:46Z

@solvenoff totally agree about drone upgrades. If manually collecting is faster, it ultimately kinda kills the point. It's for a sure a product of having to rush everything. Let me know if you have any other ideas for improving this aspect, as it seems it's a major issue with the game :)

@dominosxpizza don't be, you're not the only one! That's a ux issue not a you issue haha. Glad you enjoyed the game though πŸ˜„

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-10T15:08:30Z

@willoxs That's super helpful - the balance is definitely off between manual collection and drone automation. I definitely didn’t intend for that, so thanks for breaking it down! Got any ideas on how the balance could feel better? 😁

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-10T16:43:29Z

@willoxs - haha for sure. It's both very rewarding to play with the mouse, and also very satisfying to automate things with drones. It's like the game wants to be two different things in a way. Definitely something to think about!

I actually thought about 'zones of influence' for the mouse, similar to black and white, so you'd have to rely on drones until you can build a pylon or something that will increase the zone of influence. But that raises other issues.

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-11T12:00:48Z

@grummelchen thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! Replied on itch πŸ™

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-12T16:08:25Z

Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the collection feel.

You're spot on about the upgrades and exponential scaling - that's exactly what I wanted to add, but ran out of time during the jam... In fact, I added the "punishment" which is the rising prices, but not the rewards which is upgrades, boosts, improved automation, etc.

It's funny you mention it because I was literally just thinking about how to get that satisfying exponential curve in there. Definitely something I want to tackle next - so let me know if you have any suggestions 🀩

Claim thy Land by ranejeb 2025-10-08T13:55:56Z

An extremely polished experience and great attention to details, super impressive, congrats! It took a moment to figure out how to play. I ended up not finishing the game because I felt like during the construction stage I was often preparing to fight an enemy I know nothing about - so it felt like "thoughtful gambling" in a sense. I just spammed wizard towers and obliterated everything.

Build-A-Bot by Tykki19 2025-10-08T12:57:06Z

The was a really cool concept, loved the introduction of rusty parts. It got pretty hectic at the end, in a good way. Very cool!

Artifactologically! by JiPark 2025-10-07T20:20:38Z

The art is really pretty. I liked the concept, although starting from the beginning every time I failed was a bit frustrating. Very well done anyhow! Congrats :)

Enter the Cardgeon by Placeholders 2025-10-09T20:00:56Z

This is such a cool concept! Could definitely be expanded. It was a bit hard to regain health though, and I did find myself wanting a new attack type!

Collect or DIcE by Flinge 2025-10-08T13:05:10Z

This is a really cool concept and well executed! The art direction is so unique. My only issue is with the inconsistent resolution and large text which made it a bit hard to interact with.

FORTUNE FOR TRINKET by DominosXpizza 2025-10-09T10:35:03Z

This is so freaking cool, please expand this game and put it on steam or something I dunno. It ended too soon, I was so immersed haha

Fatal Morgana by amirblum 2025-10-07T19:50:44Z

Nice vibes! It was a bit easy, would've loved to may be be able to control the the person/camel as well, maybe have some obstacles along the way, etc

THINGS I KEEP by APDT 2025-10-08T12:50:09Z

This was a nice, polished experience! The monster emerging was a tad obvious, I wish it would've surprised me a little bit though :)

Ratbag by MrPaket 2025-10-09T11:57:49Z

This is an interesting concept! I did feel it was a bit random and a tad unbeatable. Also I would've preferred to control the game with only the mouse - having both keyboard and mouse felt redundant.
