This is excellent. I'm glad I saw that picture you posted early on, led me right here. The visuals, the sound, the feel... this is great all around. Clever using the framing to slowly expand outward rather than overwhelm the player right off the bat. Are you planning on expanding it at all?
@threeli thank you! Yeah I feel terrific about this game, I will definitely try to make it into a proper demo, hopefully for Steam. I have a ton of ideas and mechanics that just did not make it into the compo entry. So far I've been getting feedback that I nailed the "feel", which I've never done before, so pretty excited! :stars:

Oh yeah, the feel defines the experience here. I'll keep an eye on this project because I want to play it again when you add some more stuff. If you get it on to steam I will for sure pick up a copy. Brilliant work!
that was pretty fun, gave me old school RTS vibes, or something like don't starve, got to the end, i really think you could expand this a bit farther and make a really great game

Like this game a lot. Pure zen :) Would like to see the full game. I had only two issues: 1) Sometimes chord in soundtrack hits HARD. Meaning, way more louder than other sounds 2) Sometimes lepricons don't collect resources in a flag zone. Re-creating a flag in the same spot fixes this
Great game!

Great cozy game! Even though I sometimes missed having a time acceleration option, I really enjoyed it. And yeah, the sound really blew me away at one point! xD

This is a fantastic foundation for something even greater. It gave me serious old-school adventure game vibes, but with a totally unique twist.

Base for something great! Basically incremental game as it is. Style is coherent and enjoyable. Chill.
I love how polished and tidy the game feels, great job!
@soloadventurergames @02fc @t4ran @khton @tykki19 @aleksey-salion thank you very much for playing! 🙏
I'm sorry about the issue with music, I did not have time to fix it since I noticed it after submitting and I was spent. I added a big warning at the top of the description. 🙈
I really appreciate your feedback. I feel that I have something going on here and I have a lot of motivation to keep working on this one. It's a lovely game and I would at least like to make it into a proper demo or vertical slice, if not a full game. We'll see but so far the reception has been very warm.
Next things for the game I have in mind: placing buildings, better upgrades, spending resources to get better and stronger village and villages, enemies, enemy waves (you have to defend), and prominent locations in the world.
BTW if anyone's wondering, I drew the biggest inspiration from these games: Majesty, Anthill Village, and Sok pop games. I'm so grateful to these games for great ideas!

I was about to say that I can smell the Sok pop but only in a good way. We actually did on last jam indirect controls and were excited about that experiment. I see you have good ideas right there!
Excellent entry! I had so much fun seeing my minions work ! :relieved: Well polished and great take of the theme, thank you for these minutes of pure fun

This game looks and sounds great and was a joy to play. It reminds me of some of the Sokpop games, oozing with style and feel. I also thought the generative music was really cool. I'd love to see this further developed. Thanks for the nice experience.
Excellent little game, too bad there is not more content! loved the chill atmosphere.
This is such a lovely entry! I'm really curious to see where you'll take this! Do you have anything planned for what the player should do with the resources? How did you make the expanding visible area?
ALSO IS THAT THE FAR CRY 2 MAP EDITOR AMBIENCE I HEAR??? Those animal sounds are so nostalgic to me!!!
@tykki19 haha yeah, I love Sok pop games so I was greatly inspired. I actually spent like 2 days before the jam studying screenshots and videos from their games.
@flying-butter-studio @recursor @maximence thank you all for playing
@re-markable thanks! 🤩 I really appreciate the feedback!
I outlined some rough ideas in a comment above, but essentially, I want to experiment with building simple buildings. Those buildings would provide more units, gear, and improvements to the village. It would make you stronger, faster, etc. And those buildings would spend the resources you collect. In essence, incremental game.
The expanding area is done using a simple shader, see the source code on Github if you are interested.
And I don't know about Far Cry 2 map editor, never used it haha. But maybe I randomly used the same simple who knows.

Beautiful indeed! Saw your post from earlier. I think its smart how you did the music. The "supernotes" aren't as bad when the volume is at a lower level :-) I liked this little game, it was relaxing. I could finally eat my snacks while playing. The controls were very intuitive also
Now that I'm writing this comment, I can hear the birds. Did you record that yourself?
@wouter52 thanks for playing. I just pushed a simple fix for the music issue! In the end it was super, it wasn't a bug in my code or in the engine, just a stupid human mistake - 1 of the 18 samples I exported from Ableton was broken and contained all the others. Oops... 🤦
I'm glad you enjoyed it. For the sound effects and the ambience, I used samples from the internet. There unfortunately wasn't a chance to do a recording myself around here.

Very nice entry! I loved watching the little guys doing stuff for me. It took a while until I understood, that I can click anywhere and that they will do whatever they can at the specific location. Obviously it's not really a game yet, but I really liked the atmosphere and giving commands to the funny guys. The look is very nice!
Wow, this is really nice juicy and well executed. Especially loved the sound effects. Feel like it could be a bit faster though. Great entry, could definitely be expanded!

Quite unique and interesting gameplay! Love it.
@rinevard thank you!
Perfect entry for compo. The operation is easy to play, the graphic is satisfy. Good job! Snipaste_2025-10-08_16-30-01.png

Damn, I was really hoping they’d start building little houses =( But seriously, this is great — I really liked the art style, and the gameplay is right up my alley. The only downside is there’s not enough content. Come on, dev, give us more! If this were on Steam, I’d totally add it to my wishlist — it’s very promising despite its apparent simplicity.
@avhatar haha thank you for the kind words! Oh you bet I'm gonna turn this into a proper Steam demo and then hopefully a full game.
very good game, i loved the graphism ! satisfying to play

I love the art style, the sound effects and bounciness of everything! Also the controls are simple by beautiful. Really polished entry! :D

Oh no! It ended, I want more! Haha, fantastic, it really hits my incremental buttons. The audio and visual aesthetic is just so great...
If I had any criticism it's that I'd like to better understand the priority system for the littlings choosing which waypoint to go to. But that's minor. Really good job, amazing entry!

Beautiful and satisfying game. You can flag all the resources at once, and the little guy running back and forth between objectives - that’s literally a game jam developer :D Overall, I’d love to see a strategy game in this style. Good game!

I finished, but decided to continue until they collected all what they could. I like the funny look they have, the funny way they walk, and globally the simple, unique and cute arts. This is not important that there is no purpose for the resources (except as a goal for next level, which is still better than what I've done for this LD), it was somewhat restful to watch the guys frolics here and there, trying their best to get what I asked them to get. Good job, especially for a Compo game!

A very interesting game. The graphics are very simple and look very comfortable!
@anachrone @grid96 @maimai @diralf @lereveur thanks a lot for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed the game! :heart_eyes:
@maimai yeah, the priority system: there isn't any. Those guys just choose randomly. I was thinking to maybe expand on this but at the same time I did not want to overcomplicate the controls, at least not for now. Maybe this could be one of the upgrades you get?
@lereveur thank you! There will be a purpose for the resources, but it did not make it into this compo version. It will later!
Really like the aesthetics and gameplay loop of the game! 😊 I think I still had the sound bug when I played the game yesterday even though you mentioned it was fixed but wasn't able to replicate it today. Maybe I just had very bad timing yesterday 🤔

It's interesting, although the end is a bit long, I would like the game to last a little longer
The audio in this game is top-notch. The graphics too are well done. I am reminded of the old Age of Empire games sans fighting.
It took me a while to learn how to use the flags, but it wasn't too difficult. Near the end it started to feel a bit repetitious, but that's understandable given the time constraints — there is only so much variety that can be included. Anyway, there is a lot of potential in this game. Nice work.

Really cool game concept, it's almost an idle game, but not enough to keep you invested and prioritizing your next tasks. You already went quite far for the duration allowed, it'd be great to see it expanded, maybe to use the resource collected to have more upgrades/choices. The art really fits the mood of the game, but a special mention for the audio design: the SFX and audio mood really nail the cosy vibe
@knosvoxel @mrmastin @gamebuilder @vpro thank you for playing and also for your feedback!
SO GOOD! I love the chill experience, the art, sound, UI and everything is so cohesive and appealing. :relaxed:
The sound and music add SO much imo.
Some really nice polish on the upgrade pop-up. The way it rewards you when you complete your tasks.
The zoom and moving around all feels nice, and I like how you gradually reveal the map. I love these resource gathering games.. and this one has a great vibe! with lots of potential to add more
This is such a great entry!!
@scrapmetal thank you! :star: Oh u give me so much push to actually work on this more!
Wow, you can see at first glance how much love was invested into the implementation of this idea! This game is so masterfully polished for 48 hours, and absolutely everything in it is perfect - the controls are simple and clear, the quests are clearly understood from the beginning to the end, there is game progression with a small skill leveling system, the graphics are extremely pleasant and the animations are cute and lively. The sounds (especially the environmental ambience) immerse you well into the gameplay, they suit this settlement perfectly. And a special respect for the generative musical accompaniment, these sounds are a direct 100% hit to the heart!
Brilliant work, I would be very interested to see what this game develops into in the future, good luck to you with the development!

Ayy, congratz on the great results! 😄
@lesdremlet @nadan @wouter52 thank you all for playing and your nice comments. :relieved: @nadan yes I definitely plan to continue working on it, although I've been catching up on other work since the Ludum Dare and haven't touched the game yet... :sob: But soon! @wouter52 thank you! I'm a little blown away by them.
Thanks to everyone who played and left any positive feedback, rating, or kind words. The game got really good scores, best scores I ever got! 🤩
