Really funny
What a nice game. Cute overall story. I'm a big fan of the 3D graphics and the core mechanic; delivering honey in a jar on a string by only using WASD keys to move in a single plane seemed pretty limiting but there were surprisingly many vertical obstacles that could be overcome. Clever!
The game is really fun! I love how you have to move do a bunch of things in order to get the honey past certain obstacles, and this is definitely one of the most unique games I've seen in the game jam!
Really sweet little game. The intro cutscene goes hard, haha. The music is nice and relaxing, and its quite challenging too. But nontheless its very smooth and is well made ^^
I really like the graphics and the whole backstory cartoon. Also, great idea for mechanics!

Fantastic game! probably my favorite game in the jam so far. Really well executed and fun to play. Makes the player feel smart when you figure out how to maneuver over some of the obstacles. The story, audio and visuals were amazing for a jam game. Nice job!

Let me get the tiny "not perfect" things out of the way: - In the ending scene on an ultrawide monitor the base unity scene shows at the edges of the screen - The first horizontal tree could be a bit lower to ease our way a bit more into this kind of challenge
Now, everything else is incredibly good: the 2D drawings and animations are lovely, the game is both super intuitive, challenging, balanced, innovative and beautiful. The "going over obstacles" mechanic is very neat: seems impossible at first but then it clicks and you start swinging your jar around, taking more risks.
...and then there's the end song <3 Incredible job, best game I've played so far in the jam!
Excellent game! The art, the soundtrack, everything is done very well. Kartuun is very cute, the whole game is cozy. Really enjoyed the interaction with the physics. Top rated.
Really great/cute little game. I don't have much to add other than what @tom-oak said: the first horizontal tree is a bit high. I also found the tires by checkpoint 8 to be unproportionally difficult (skill issue?).

This is a wonderful game jam game, I love it! Not many jam games where you can find cutscenes, let alone of this quality! The game itself also look wonderful, the challenges are varied and they make a good use of your main mechanic. I only wished the jar wasn't swinging that much ;_; Great stuff!

It's AMAZING, I have enjoyed the game immensely! It's one of the best jam games I played! really beautiful and cute game, not that peaceful (because it's hard! the 2nd tire of checkpoint 8 always got me haha) but really well executed. i loved the physics, even if sometimes it was a bit hard to predict the rope movements. however, really nice entry, great work!

Pretty fun game! Kinda infuriating at some points, but I had a good time regardless. The cute graphics and great soundtrack matched well together. A solid 8.5/10! And that credit song too, absolutely beautiful!

The animation intro was soooo cute! I really liked the 2D art of your game (the animations need some frames, but this is not a issue overall)
The gameplay was really addicted! Some parts were hard (the trees with the wheels for example), but the feeling of pass trough them are very satisfying!
Finally, about the music, the chosen soundtrack was the icing on the cake from your game! Good job!

Wow this is probably one of the best entries I've seen in this entire jam! Magnificent job with the animations and gameplay. Also that ending song is absolutely incredible. It took me a few tries to figure out what to do when I hit the log but once I figured it out I was very satisfied. I think that you did a really good job of taking a simple mechanic and adding a lot of depth to how the player can interact with it.
Did I helicopter that honey pot over a tree. Yes I did. Fantastic game, the cinematic are so cool, I restart the game only to see the facial expression of that rat again, the ending song. The mechanic is so simple yet the level design kept adding depth to it. Stunning game, great entry for this jam ! Trying to be constructive and if I was nitpicking, maybe a shader could add to the 3D something more consistent with the style of the cinematic. Awesome work, surely one of the best I played

Really great game; my favourite so far I think. The controls were great and the physics of the honey worked really well. The variety of obstacles was also nice.
Maybe I would have liked a little control over the camera e.g. making it move faster if I go forwards, or slower if I go backwards. In general, I think it could even work better without a constantly moving camera; but I might be wrong about that.
Even outside of gameplay, the art looks great and the little animation at the start was amazing. The music was obviously fantastic too, especially the surprise at the end! Overall this was a great game and I really hope you keep working on it, I'd love to play more levels!
This is such a great game! The concept is so cute and poetic, and I especially love how you made the theme of this jam the core of the mechanics and gameplay. Simple yet really clever. Not to mention this fabulous ending song. I'll probably think of this one next time I listen to the Beatles ^^
This is one of the best games I have ever seen! I am a very big fan of animation and animation, so the short film at the beginning of the game won my heart! I liked a little humor, give me honey, I'll give pionino! So you also have a combination of 3d and 2d, it's just very cool! You are great fellows! I want to note that I liked to wave honey like nunchucks. The only thing I noticed is that it’s a pity you can’t pause ... The games are super, I advise everyone! Can I know the author of the animations?

A real pity you had to cut that credit scene! A well done game that has a harmonious feel to it, though there's a lot of challenge to overcome, quite the amusing feel to it too haha. I loved the aesthetics of it, the graphics were neat and clean and everything felt as a one unit. Marvelous work overall!
Wow, this is such a solid entry. The mechanics were so solid and intuitive. I was holding my breath trying to make it through with my honey at times. The difficulty and time to complete were perfect for a jam game. I could even play without issue on my weird resolution monitor even though the sides of the game were cut off on full screen :sweat_smile:

This was really adorabale and fun! Loved the opening and ending scenes. Like that bee, I too would go through checkpoint 8 multiple times just to trade a jar of honey for a grand piano ;-)

Sweet Game! Loved the music, art, and gameplay. Once I realized I could move forward and backward, it was much easier :face_palm: (I did make it to the higher tires on my self-imposed hard mode) This was somehow both relaxing and chill and incredibly stressful in the best way. Thank you for the checkpoints!
The animation of the mouse at the start made me burst out laughing, and the ending song was phenomenal. The in-game graphics were great, and the core mechanic of swinging the jar around was really fun! You managed to make the mechanic work in a bunch of different interesting ways, and every different checkpoint section felt unique because of it.

What a nice game! Finished and polisahed experience, even have a cute little story. Main mechanic is simple, understandable and gives you fun from the start. Kinda reminds what I did for my first LD with keep it alive theme, but with ballon. Small suggestion would be to keep the velocity of the jar after restart, otherwise it feels like an unfair andvantage, espesially before narrow sections. Good job!

Wow!!! The best entry I've seen this time by far! Fun innovative Mechanic, Really really nice art - both in cutscenes and gameplay, and the music was just wow amazing - I think the best I've heard in any Ludum Dare. Actually I would have loved to hear more of the original music in the credits instead of the exhausted Beetles song. The sound sound design, and the sound mix in cutscenes are also great. Also loved the expression in the faces of the characters in the cutscenes. :D Well done!!

Damn that's a real nice game. The opening is strong, like, my man, that's a full-blown animated cutscene in a 72 game. The only thing I didn't like were the 3D graphics. They just feel off, way too much like those horrible mobile games. Should've kept the artstyle from the cutscenes. But, the honey jar mechanics were real clever, so iffy graphics can be forgiven.
Cute graphics, interesting implementation of the theme and nice music. Good game. I would like to see more complex and varied levels with such mechanics, and maybe a challenge mode without checkpoints.

Nice and good looking "runner" with unique mechanics that make sense and pretty fun to play with. Good graphics, not too long, nicely put checkpoints. Story didn't seems interesting to me, although it's better to have at least this kind of story instead of no story at all :) Liked the gameplay, although the game could use a little more sounds, Ilked the "bzzz" sound on restart though.

Hi there, what a small little game with an animated intro (wait what?)! A game itself a little bit challenging, but you've done good with the physics, as much as it's possible at least. However I've stuck on 8-th checkpoint and didn't manage (sorry guys :sob: broke so many honey cans there).

Regarding art direction, I think I would have preferred a 2D/3D mix style (like paper mario) in order to have the same styles as the animation throughout the game (it's just me being very picky because I like consistency ^^) But the game is beautiful as it is ;)

I loved this game. So far, it's maybe the best one I've played on this jam. The art direction is beautiful, neat and so cute. The gameplay is not so simple but it's fair enough. I enjoyed the whole experience. And the cherry on the cake, the atmosphere brought by the intro and the outro. Well done !

Loved it! The bee jar mechanic is so simple but fun to play with, and you guys designed interesting challenges around it. It was so fun to swing the jar in a circle to hover it above the ground :) I liked that there was a clear goal, and check point progressing to show me my progress. Game was a good length too.

Wow, this goes into my top picks folder! Such a nice idea, well executed, looks nice, amazing sounds and end track! The only thing I could think of as criticism is that the second to last checkpoint was right before the narrow path between the logs, and after failing once, it was very easy since you did not have to stop the swinging from the previous obsticle (hope I'm making sense). Overall, super nice work!

Not my favourite mode of honey transportation :) Really liked the art and the music - the plot and the associated gameplay is cute, but I feel like the rope mechanic is a little too fickle to use (or maybe I am just bad). I would maybe have suffered less dying a million times if there would be more than one death sound effect. Great entry nonetheless!
Very sweet game! Gameplay is simple but fun and original. Levels are interesting, and well balanced in difficulty (a bit on the easy side because of the high number of checkpoints, but it's much better this way that the other way around). The intro and outro are great. The rope works great.
Maybe some animations of the bee in game would have been nice, but it already looks fantastic at it is.
Unrelated to the game itself, I think your game window is way too big (on itch). My prefered way of doing it: * In Unity->Player->DefaultCanvasWidth/Height 1280x720 * In Itch -> 1280x760
This way, the user can play in a small 16:9, or hit the fullscreen button and go back to 1920x1080.

Absolutely adorable start sequence, I loved the animation and the storyline is set up to be so cute. Very smooth implementation of the string, could imagine that this was quite difficult to develop. Gameplay loop was on the simpler side but I think this is perfect far a game jam. Insanely polished game, amazing job!!
Thanks for the collision geometry being not too hardcore. It was still challenging to finish, but I made it without tears :laughing: Nice graphics and great sound! Well done! Such a shame the credits soundtrack had to be cut. C'mon folks - go give it a thumbs up on the YT!

Oh my goodness, I freaking loved that! There was a *big* distinction between the cutscenes and the gameplay, and while I still really enjoyed the gameplay, it was the cartoon segments that I cared for in the end (:laughing:)! The game is enjoyable, I loved how creative you got with the obstacles nearing the end -- requiring you to not only avoid hitting obstacles but swing your honey over them, and such. There were a few different sections that felt a bit *too* punishing in comparision to the surrounding ones (I'm talking about the *triple-tire-tunnel-TM*), but overall, it was challenging without being too difficult (:3)! *LOVED THE CREDITS, MORE PEOPLE NEED TO DO THIS, YOU'VE INSPIRED ME!*

Funny game, would've liked to have the camera follow me instead of having to wait for it to advance and whoever did the cartoons, please do the rest of the game in that style, it was so cute.

What an adorable game, with adorable art! Surprisingly challenging gameplay, but still good vibes all around.
My only complaint is that I think the default resolution on itch.io is too high - and I tend to have trouble with the built-in LD player. Since the resolution was so high, I had some perf issues on my MacBook. But still, the game itself is fantastic!

This was great. I loved the 3D models and the original songs were nice and cheery. Though a bit sensitive, it was pretty fun swinging the jar around and it was nice seeing the rope physics used for some of the obstacles! My only real complaint I think is some obstacles were hard to get through because the previous ones obscured the view but otherwise great! The checkpoint system helped a lot and was frequent enough to keep things approachable too.
The start and ending cut scenes were so good too!

Very good level design. The two logs with the horizontal slits checkpoint is the most difficult in my opinion, spent most time on it.
May I suggest some idea? A checkpoint with a really large fan that blows sideway. And a checkpoint with inverted gravity.

Also gamedesign (level design especially) and respawn a bit tricky, especially i stuck at 6th checkpoint, because the movement of wheels always was different. Sometimes it was very different from past try, and some times just a bit.

What a fantastic entry! The art is superb, the music is some of the best I've heard this jam (Let it bee is incredible), and the gameplay is simple yet hard to master. The physics work great and the difficulty feels just right. I only wish it was just a bit longer, but this is one of my favorite entries for sure.
I really liked the gameplay and managed to finish it. The game looks and sounds great. I'm not sure how I feel about using a combination of original music made for the game and someone else's compositions (intro Ghibli song & end credits Beatles song) and still having audio rating. It all works very well though!
@bradur That's a good point. I'd like to raise the point that it was purely for comedic and dramatic effect, not to be taken seriously and falls within fair use (parody and cover). The intro song is Clair de Lune - Claude Debussy which is in the public domain also played by me with my own interpretation. The let it bee song is a parody cover and sung by me so it is transformative. So I'd argue that it's still worth taking into account in the rating!
