LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Evacuation by someone 2022-04-05T21:16:44Z

Congrats on writing a working engine and making a game that's very good! I had some genuine fun running down jumping dinosaurs. The 3D art is very basic, but I liked the simple style, it fits the simplicty of the game very well!

Strata by Skyeward 2022-04-06T11:45:57Z

Actually amazing, art is so polished and the game is really freaking good, especially for the game jam entry! Well done!

Down to the Wire by Mieeh 2022-04-06T16:21:45Z

Holy crap, this is awesome! Neatly designed and packed with fun brain teasers! I only wish I could rebind controls, I'm incredibly uncomfortable by playing 2D games with WASD, otherwise it's near perfect and one of the best entries in this jam!

Interesting as always, great work!

Mage With An 8-Gauge! by Phobos001 2022-04-05T19:18:35Z

Thank you for including the WebGL build!

I love Hotline Miami and the game pumped me up when it started, but unfortunately no matter what I did I could not kill red and blue guy combination. I had them spinning around the room for five minutes, but they just wouldnt die! Maybe I'm missing something...

Anyways, great job!

Kiwis Can't Fly by DDRKirbyISQ 2022-04-08T19:22:08Z

Straight up beautiful, one of the best games in this jam. I can't put into words how much I love this game. The ending gave me goosebumps. Looking forward to see what you guys do next!

The Demon Trainer by drentsoft 2022-04-05T21:42:57Z

I have gotten more exercise in this game than I had in the last couple of months IRL.

Despite the off putting art, I actually had a lot of fun and found your take on team rather clever. Good job!

STONEHOLD by teamscripta 2022-04-05T17:23:06Z

Before we start, thank you so much for WebGL version!

I liked this one, it was pretty straightforward top down hack and slash. You can attack, roll and use an ultimate spell. Simple, but effective. The dodge roll can easily break the game and send you out of bounds, which gave me rather amusing time. I expected to find a secret or some kind of Easter egg, but to no avail sadly :c

I love that you can visit other people's worlds, it gives a nice community vibe! I managed to clear several rooms. I hope I did someone a good service!

Cardboard People on Fire by BoxedMeatRevolution 2022-04-05T17:29:29Z

What a silly little game!

I love the art style and sounds Cardboard people on fire make! However, the realistic player arm sticks like a sore thumb. Maybe that was the intention, but it didn't work out for me.

Anyway, I had some fun dousing silly cardboard people. Good job!

Baking Simulator 2022 by Sarah 2022-04-06T19:54:54Z

This is a really relaxing game. I enjoy cooking IRL so the premise of the game really got me excited! :)

Had some decent time after figuring out what to do. I wish the "zoom in" window at the bottom of the screen was optional and hints in the upper right corner were a bit hard to make out, at least on my screeen.

Good job!

CABBAGE DEFENSE by frozenfire92 2022-04-05T21:52:35Z

At first I thought this would be nice and relaxing game and then all of the sudden I get attacked by evil knights! My cabbages! Really cool game, took me by surprise!

Block or Bust by 100th_Coin 2022-04-07T14:37:39Z

The concept is hilarious, the gameplay challenging and satisfying, the effect juicy, the music is hype, there is nothing in this game that I don't love!

The Beast Within by cad 2022-04-05T22:17:30Z

Cheers for including the WebGL build!

Holy crap, that was awesome!

Amazing art direction and style, really digging it.

I also love the concept of you being the monster and needing to stop yourself!

Great time!

Off with the show! by edwigelel 2022-04-05T09:20:46Z

First of all, wow, the music is awesome, I haven't expected that, great job!

About the game, I managed to drink the coffee and check the tuning on strings, but I for the love of god couldn't figure out how combining items work. I tried as many different combinations as I possibly could, but nothing has ever happened.

The game looks fine, although I wish the intro text was a bit more stylized. I also wished there was "Back to menu" button when the time runs out.

Not bad, good job!

Dancing With Death by Enver Arco 2022-04-05T16:24:26Z

Surprisingly intense! A simple concept of outrunning the death and reaching what I suppose is a fountain of youth. It has a really nice moment when you push your final block to reach the fountain, I really liked that! I'd increase the speed of the game and I wish there was some way to restart the game. Other than that, a really good time!

Protect the Candle by rex64 2022-04-11T07:26:13Z

This is amazing! The learning curve is a bit steep at the beginning, but once you get a hang of it, it's tons of fun and I love games with that sort of design!

Managed to score 63 seconds, which is probably not that impressive, but every single second of that time was intense as hell!

Loving this one, good work!

CVC Presents: The tale of Plague Doctor Man (John Withah) by David Mason 2022-04-06T09:37:46Z

An interesting idea and a really intriguing portrait art! Unfortunately, after 10 minutes of playing I could not figure out what are you supposed to do in the game other than shopping and offering people water.

Not bad though, the atmosphere is dreadful as it should be for this type of game. Good job!

Jimbert the Senator Commits Tax Fraud by notApollogising 2022-04-05T21:28:53Z

Daring and unapologetic, I had a few chuckles!

This is like a third game about tax evasion I've seen this jam. :d

Send Nukes by MrSchlag2 2022-04-05T22:31:19Z

I have to say, I love your itch page! The design is clever and wonderful! Also thank you for the WebGL build!

I love almost everything else about this game! The art! The WarioWare like gameplay! The intense music!

The only thing I had trouble figuring out was the mushroom game. No matter what I did, I always lost.

Great stuff!

fireme.club by velvetlobster 2022-04-05T23:33:48Z

This is just amazing.

Getting Old by erkerkiii 2022-04-11T07:06:40Z

Very fun idea, I like it a lot! It turns the desperate struggle of waiting for death into a fun little action rump. The problem I had is the camera, I wish I had some more control over it. There were times when I just couldn't see when the enemy was approaching me, resulting in me taking needless amount of damage I could've never forseen.

Even with that in mind however, it's a decent effort. Well done!

Ghost In The Washing Machine by foxxy 2022-04-09T15:41:31Z

This was hilarious! Kudos for mixing live action and old school low poly style, that combination produces such a unique atmosphere! I didn't whether to laugh or be terrified!

Typing games are inherently fun, so not much to say there. However, I really like how you guys approached it. Well done.

mote by KianaMosser 2022-04-07T14:24:22Z

This is a beautiful game with an amazing mood! I wish the lights lasted a bit longer so I could have a bit more freedom to explore outside of path determined by the light thingies you are supposed to collect.

Some direction about what are you supposed to do at the start would be very welcome as well.

Other than that, great stuff!

Witchcraft by Croosle 2022-04-06T09:51:28Z

I love the artstyle and am a huge fan of top down shooters.

This is a decent one, I only wish I had more control over my character. I'd have really liked if I casted all those awesome spells by myself.

Nice stuff!

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-06T13:30:14Z

The two of us share a very similar art style, but you managed to knock it out of the park so much that we can't even compete with our game. Amazing work!

...Rise of the Toasty Tomato by snesgaard 2022-04-09T15:51:35Z

I had a weird time with this game, I feel like it just didn't work for me.

When I turned it on, it prompted me to choose an event. I picked an event, selected my cards, chose to play them, but nothing happened at all. I tried restarting the game several times, playing different card combinations, but nothing seemed to work :c

Too bad because the game seemed so promising on paper. Am I doing something wrong?

Dancing Trees by Ixio 2022-04-05T17:01:52Z

First of all, thank you so much for including the WebGL build!

The game itself was rather nice. It took me some time to figure out what was going on, but as soon as it clicked and I saw what you were going for, I had a decent time! Slowing people by fire is kind of unintuitive, but it works, providing a decent spin on a set theme.

Also the lore at the start was rather nice c:

Spores & Suffocation by IvanPavlov 2022-04-19T08:37:25Z

Damn, that wax unexpectedly terrifying! Never thought I would get anxious while playing a jam game! You guys managed to convey an exceptional mood. However, like the others mentioned, the inventory UI takes a bit from the atmosphere (not pun intended). Great work overall!

Hummingbird by Madbarron 2022-04-19T08:31:31Z

A very decent effort! I appreciate heavily the inclusion of different difficulty modes! The bird was really fun to control and I can see this being a decent mobile game with a bit of polish. Well done!

Farewell by Geryon Games 2022-04-19T08:44:06Z

Wow, this is a chunky little adventure! Usually with these types of games I don't expect much content, but wow, I was amazed!

I had a few little gripes with it though. For example, time passes even during the dialogue, which makes it easier to cheese time till 6 AM. I also didn't like how abruptly mom would show up, but I guess that's kinda the point, so I can't be really mad about it! :d

Not much else to complain about, this is a solid good time. Well done!

100 Seconds to Midnight by Substain 2022-04-09T15:58:25Z

A very cool idea! I like it a lot! I wish the events were happening a bit less frequently, it would've made my choices feel much more grander. At this state it feels like picking my favorite color, which brings down mood a bit.

Overall, nice stuff! Good job, made it to 2 years and 5 months!

Don't Kill Your Darlings by scalliondelight 2022-04-06T00:19:16Z

I can't put in words how much I love the style of this game. It threw me way back into my own childhood in which I was surrounded by wacky stuff like nickelodeon and many weird comics I used to read as a kid.

Love the creatures, love the idea, keep it up, I want to see more stuff from you guys, you made a darn fine game!

Boss Rush: Tibbs Under Fire! by Wilson Taylor 2022-04-07T14:15:55Z

I love the character design and art, it's adorable! I wish to see the full game in this style!

As the others noted, it's pretty easy to get the boss stuck and beat the crap out of it even at level one, so you might want to take a look at that o:

Nice job!

Nelson's Nightmare: Remastered by clemonades 2022-04-05T18:10:43Z

Cheers for including WebGL build!

I really like how you handled the story. It's in the menu and it doesn't hamper the gameplay.

The gameplay itself is rather simple conceptually, but extremely polished and just fun to play.

Really well done!

Mythical Mediator by Jahwffrey 2022-04-08T23:04:54Z

I love everything behind this game! The acting was great and hilarious at the same time, I'm loving the FMV approach and I'm sure you guys had a lot of fun while doing this!

The gameplay loop is rock solid, it's challenging, but fair and very satisfying!

One of my favorites!

Milk man commits tax fraud by OwnGamesGamer 2022-04-05T17:44:08Z

A hilarious concept to be sure, but the truck could have used some better steering and controls.

Nice cel shading attempt! :)

Magic Missile by Tim Sims 2022-04-06T09:26:14Z

This is a very cool entry! I enjoyed micromanaging knight in order to protect the spellcaster. I wish there was more room for error though and slightly more generous aiming. Managed to last 83 seconds.

Good stuff!

Ripple by Dandala88 2022-04-10T11:57:47Z

I'm not really sure what was going on, but it kept me entertained for whole 10 minutes. A wonderful surreal experiment. Well done!

The Pit by Itskdog 2022-04-05T21:20:15Z

A very interesting concept! I'd suggest you to keep developing it, something great might come out of it. Good job!

Somnokid by Saturnyoshi 2022-04-10T22:34:02Z

Definitely a contender for the best game this jam. The only little thing I wished for is a button that would allow you to proceed to fighting part of the game, especially in the early levels where you don't have the biggest incentive to utilize all the platforms. It would've been for speedrunning as well. Nothing else to add that the other people haven't said. This is incredible.

Fight or Flight by chertkov 2022-04-06T09:20:18Z

First of all, thank you so much for making this game available in WebGL!

When I started the game, I was really confused. I started making buildings, but they didn't seem to do anything at all. Luckily, I figured out quickly that you are supposed to fill them in with capable soldiers and the game quickly became really fun management/tower defense rump!

Good stuff!

Cosmic Castaway by Perrin 2022-04-07T13:40:42Z

Damn, this is SUPER good for a jam game, even for the Extra category! It strikes just the right notes with me as I'm a huge fan of old point and click games. Very good stuff!

Stone Sabbath by Caladrius 2022-04-09T00:52:43Z

First of all, thank you for including WebGL build!

This is a very ambitious game, especially for game jam! I had a really good time playing this, took me like 20 minutes to get through it all, but I had some gripes with it, so let me share my thoughts real quick.

The aesthetics are wonderful, I love almost everything about it. Keyword being almost, as I really dislike the checkerboard overlay that is probably there to simulate pixel look of the original PS1. It doesn't work that well in my opinion and it seems like a smudge that makes otherwise fantastic characters and environment look unnecessarily worse.

That being said, exploring the said environments was a lot of fun. I liked the dancing tribe at the start, silly enemies and just general feel that the game delivers. I also genuinely love the music that plays in the background, it's so well done! I'm listening to it in the background as I'm writing this post!

Combat is alright, but I really wish player attack animations were a little shorter, especially for strong attack. In fact, I never used strong attack in combat after I used it initially, it just doesn't feel that right.

With all this in mind, I still had a great time. This game definitely has one of the best atmospheres in this jam and inspiring character design. Well done!

Dire Darkness by jsmitq 2022-04-05T21:44:33Z

It's decent for what it is. What do you think about UE now that you have the experience? o:

This Is Sketchy by Danial Jumagaliyev 2022-04-19T08:27:26Z

This was cool! I have played it for quite a while and I think I managed to see all of the endings and secrets. Several gripes I had with this game include the random camera swings I got out of nowhere when teleporting through certain portals and picking up certain boxes. Not sure what's causing them, you might wanna check that. I also wasn't a huge fan of allowing the player to deviate from the main road immediately. The Stanley Parable, for example, also lets you disobey the narrator early, but it at least sets up the mood and the main story: you are a worker, all of your coworkers are gone, it's up to you whether you want to find out what actually happened or if you want to mess around. You get familiar with how the game works and then you play the game. It would be nice if your game allowed you to go off the beaten path right after the player gets familiar with how main mechanics work (walking, jumping, moving crates), it would essentially fix everything. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time with your game. As I said, I completed everything, I liked the style a lot and I especially liked the jump sound. Well done!

Very Long Spell by NotUsername 2022-04-05T16:51:12Z

Oh my God, as a huge fan of Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne and many more bullet hell games and rougelites, I loved this one!

One thing I'd probably add is the aim icon instead of usual mouse cursor.

Other than that, loving it! One of my favorite entries so far! Great job!

Beastly shopping by Diana Asadova 2022-04-05T16:16:34Z

Unfortunately I had the same experience as the rest of the people commenting. Too bad because the thumbnail looks adorable! I won't give you any ratings for now, but let me know when you fix the game, I'll be more than happy to try it and give my thoughts!

Spark Boy by Joshua Steward 2022-04-05T08:28:09Z

Not bad! Great concept, the animation is really smooth and pixel art is very cute! However, I had some trouble getting into levels, pressing S just didn't work from time to time. I also wish there was a way to play with arrow keys on keyboard. Good job guys!

RUN COFFEE RUN by aerloth 2022-04-06T21:47:39Z

THIS. IS. AMAZING. Played this one for whole half an hour - that's amazing for a jam game, let alone a jam game made by entirely one person! There is nothing in this game I don't love!

This entry definitely needs more love. I am sending it to my friends and everyone who might be interested. I encourage other users to do the same and get this game some recognition it deserves.

Well done, one of my favorites!

Cope till Dawn by edgeboyo 2022-04-07T22:16:57Z

The core of the game is actually really fun, I really like the sound used for attacking, super satisfying! I only wish some of the technical problems were a bit smoothed out. As Okamit mentioned, start button resets on subsequent clicks, which made me think the gameplay was actually clicking the play button in order to keep the screen going out in complete darkness lol. I also managed to lose several times, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what was up. Despite those technical hiccups, I think the core of the game is really satisfying. Not bad!

RIG WRECKENING by WhyNot 2022-04-11T07:18:55Z

Very impressive! I was stunned by the destructible environments and really decent controls, you guys had my mouth open! The style is lovely and the premise is really good!

There's nothing inherently wrong with the game itself, it's just unfortunate that some platforming jank is present, but that's to be expected for jam games and I won't fault you guys for it.

Great job!

What Have You Drawn? by MrPouletBZH 2022-04-06T09:16:36Z

I love top down shooters, so I was bound to like this one!

Loving the idea with the evolving art as you progress through the game!

The only thing that kind of bothered me was screenshake while attacking. I'd suggest toning it down a bit.

Good job!

Overwhelmed by Asieke 2022-04-11T08:04:20Z

Lovely style! It might sound weird, but for me this game is essentially a turn based Pacman. You try to outsmart your enemies by cleverly navigating a maze. And I like it a lot. Well done!

Catocalypse by Neshtyak 2022-04-11T07:13:27Z

Lovely premise, it really caught my attention!

The style is also lovely and kudos for including the well done opening cinematic, was watching it with a smile on my face! c:

The game itself felt weird to control however. At first, the button prompts didn't seem to work at all. I found out later what I was doing wrong, but it was really unintuitive.

Despite of that, I still managed to have some good fun. Good job people! :)

Majellan by Reulan 2022-04-06T22:32:13Z

Jellyfish flying is OP, otherwise good time!

Wormageddon by MatterLinx 2022-04-06T11:50:55Z

One of the most amazing art directions I've seen so far!

The boss arena reminded me heavily of that worm boss fight from Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero, which is great because I love that boss!

Took me some time to figure out what button I was supposed to press to pass the intro screen though.

Masterpiece indeed!

Mad Monkey Manor by not-tomo 2022-04-07T13:53:02Z

This is a fun little game! I loved it's fast pace and the unconventional method of dealing with enemies. Also, those monkey sounds are super convincing, I can see why the guy doing it got the credit for it lol

However, rolling diagonally is super OP, it's twice as fast and it covers double the distance of normal rolling, making the juking of monkeys very trivial. Maybe you'd want to take a look at that o:

Overall, I had fun, good job!

Great Escape by Martinek 2022-04-07T17:41:13Z

Hahahhahaha, that was adorable! As the other said, a more fully featured time bar would be awesome, but other than that, great job! Gave me a good chuckle!

IBYH!? by Trabasura 2022-04-07T14:03:46Z

Woohoo, a WebGL game! Thank you!

This was really fun, I really love the premise of outrunning the cops with my friends and a dog, the vibes were real!

The games themselves were fun, but I had trouble figuring them out at first and I swear the light/laser dodge is impossible! Or maybe I just suck...? o:

Good job and congrats on your first jam game! Keep it up!

RIITA by wobs 2022-04-05T17:16:52Z

What an amazing game!

I love rhythm games so much, so when I saw your game I got really excited. And boy, did it deliver!

Love the setting, love the music, love the challenge!

The only thing that didn't sit well with me is 3D art. It's not bad, but it's a little bit muddy compared to the intro animation and the rest of UI.

A fantastic entry, definitely one of my favorites!

Live, Flame, Live! by SayuriNyooko 2022-04-06T09:29:02Z

I have played games with similar concept in this jam, but this one managed to strike a strangely nice and relaxing atmosphere. I guess sometimes all you need in life are simple chores to keep you busy and satisfied. Nice job!

Carrot Grove by Ehon 2022-04-08T17:59:51Z

As a Slav this game really got me interested! It's really nice seeing Slavic stuff such as names, like Boginka and Vodnik and traditional clothes! The game itself was a really nice time and it had a really chill and relaxing autumn vibe. The only thing I'd recommend adjusting is the voice volume, it's way too quiet compared to background music, even with volume sliders.

Good stuff!

Dawn of the Karen by BougieBirdie 2022-04-09T15:32:10Z

I like top down shooters, so I found this game quite alright at the first level. Unfortunately, my character would just stop shooting when I acquired the rate of fire upgrade. Is there an ammo system or were I missing something? o:

Procrastination Simulator by ffernn 2022-04-05T08:39:52Z

First of all, thank you for including the WebGL build!

I like this one, it gave me some Poly Wants (an old flash game) vibes. I wish there was some kind of tracking of how much time I spent procrastinating. Overall, not a bad time, good job!

Peter and the Pesky Puppets by agushmar 2022-04-05T22:12:31Z

A very decent entry! The mood is top notch and very well done! So is the artstyle. I love Over the Garden Wall and this game heavily reminded me of it. Though some of the art, like the side angle, can look a bit weird from time to time...

Ancient Shooter by attentionadmin 2022-04-05T17:08:28Z

Congrats on your first game jam! I love wandering around in strange games, so I was able to get something out of this. The walls could be organized a bit better though and your game could be slightly more animated. I had fun!

Prison Arena by taran95 2022-04-05T08:30:55Z

A pretty simple game. The concept reminded me of Swords and Sandals, which I am a really big fan of. The artstyle is crude, but very charming! Not a bad time, good job!

Red Cube With Gun by n-studios 2022-04-06T09:43:41Z

The enemy design is super cute! I had tons of fun blasting little Meat boys!

Stay Afloat by Fredrik Rosell 2022-04-07T13:57:30Z

Hey, congrats on completing your first jam game! You did a very decent job with implemented mechanics and the general feel of the game. As Bluzzsuxx has noted, implemented mechanics don't really work off of each other, but that's one more reason to continue working on this game even after the jam ends. It might lead to something incredible!

SHUTTLECOCK: ARMAGEDDON by Nick Saulnier 2022-04-05T17:47:47Z

A decent time, managed to play a very intense game with our alien overlord. He lost, but he still conquered our race.

Anyway, great job!

Gobling Game by lolopupka 2022-04-05T18:05:21Z

It is a not bad interpretation of the theme. The game looks rather nicely, but the menu could've used some additional work. Not bad!

Jumpalot by game-jam-devs 2022-04-05T17:54:56Z

First of all, thank you so much for including the WebGL build!

A very simple concept, but very effective! Falling through the space and finally splashing yourself on a ground gave me a real chuckle and it fits the theme rather nicely!

I love the music as well!

Great job!

Darko by Sodoj 2022-04-05T19:41:53Z

@cresceda Hello there, Windows build has been added. Sorry for the inconvenience! I hope you will have better time now that the game is outside of the boundaries of your browser! :)

Edit: I just noticed your edit right after writing my message. Still, thank you for encouraging us to upload a Windows build!

Darko by Sodoj 2022-04-06T09:55:18Z

@sloke-t Hello! You can try adjusting the mouse sensitivity in the options menu or you can try playing the Windows build. WebGL build has the mouse sensitivity messed up a bit. Sorry for the inconvenience!

That Toilet... Feels so good. by Julyyyy 2022-04-10T19:56:59Z

What a great idea! I really liked this one. Not much to complain about here. Great stuff!

Forest by StudioCherno 2022-04-07T13:45:23Z

First of all, congrats on making the working engine! I've checked out your web site and it looks very competent!

As for the game itself, I liked it fine. It's a decent shooter with some spooky Slender vibes.

I appreciate a lot the inclusion of controller support.

Well done!

Hole by OlgaVek 2022-04-11T07:02:03Z

This is a very funny game with a very funny idea. However, it didn't seem to work properly some of the time. Some of the time I couldn't move left arm no matter how much I tried. Sometimes it worked flawlessly. Sometimes it worked, but I had trouble attacking the ligaments to the wall. It was very inconsistent, but that also made it just a little bit funnier. Good effort!

The Gallows by Burn Tree 2022-04-10T22:16:42Z

This is a very pretty game with somber atmosphere and relatable story to almost anyone who got into a deeper relationship with someone. It would've been perfect with a bit more polish. For example, the text telling the story is very static and it looks kind of off putting. It would've been amazing if it popped only when you were at a relevant location and it could've used some kind of doodle effect to fit more the rest of the art style.

UI is also a big problem and it breaks the immersion. Not only does it not fit the rest of the style, but it also blocks some of the text, making it needlessly harder to read. There are also some null exceptions you'd probably want to look at.

Despite all of this, I had a really positive experience. I just thought it would be nice to address some of the rougher parts because I want to see this game gets the polish it deserves. Be sure to work on it post jam, I would love to see the improved version of it!

Worjar: And the inevitable end by ATH-AI 2022-04-08T11:54:25Z

This looks like an extremely funny time you can have with your friends! I'll try playing it with my team this weekend and will land you more detailed thoughts!

Edit: Damn, that was fun! Tabletop RPGs usually suffer from chaos and disorder and DMs hate it when someone slightly deviates from the story, let alone throw the whole plot in the dumpster, which happened here. Fortunately, our DM knew what we're in for and it was surprisingly refreshing having a hilarious time with all the chaos going on. Super cool for a quick one shot! We had fun, thank you!

Worjar: And the inevitable end by ATH-AI 2022-04-11T14:40:52Z

@ath-ai We made it through! :) Updated my post with quick opinions. Thank you for the good time once again!

RUNOUT by RobLaro 2022-04-11T07:22:36Z

Great little idea, I can see this being a minigame in a Mario game or something similar. I also loved how the little guys curled up in a ball when they died.

A good effort, especially for a compo game. You should give this game some more love after the jam, I really feel it could be something really fun with a bit more substance!

Rest In Pieces by Eson97 2022-04-11T07:37:07Z

The art caught my attention and the premise seemed nice, so I gave this one a go.

Very good concept that didn't seem to work that well for me. I found it way to easy to cheese a cop, somehow I managed to get him to run into the wall and ignore me for the whole duration of the game, making the hiding of body parts a real breeze. When I thought I reached the end however, nothing happened, the game just kept going like normal. Was I missing something or was it supposed to be that way? o:

Now the good stuff, cause there are a lot of them: I LOVE the animation on the main heroine, she is so well done, I especially love the animation of her struggling to drag a body part, it's perfect! The art direction is gorgeous and full of charm and it all fit very well. The controls were good and satisfying and the walking and corpse dragging speed both felt just right! There was some unfortunate mishaps with sorting layer, but that's nothing you guys cannot fix.

Overall, I really liked this one, I think you should do the post jam version. Well done!

Heart Hunter by foolsroom 2022-04-11T07:41:00Z

Damn, this is sick! The art is so smooth and the gameplay is fast and it just flows so well together! Lovely time! We share the similar take on limitation, which is good because I liked your interpretation a lot, it really gives you an incentive to slice and dice.

I've been saying this a lot, but you should really consider taking this game post jam and making something even more incredible out of it. Good stuff!

Impending chemical catastrophe by codebug 2022-04-05T17:58:32Z

A rather simple game that fits the theme quite nicely!

The simple art reminded me of games I used to play when I was 5yo. Brings back the simpler times!

Bonus points for including WebGL build!

Great job!

Battery Buisness by Smoofy 2022-04-08T23:45:46Z

Hey buddy, I see this is your first Jam game here, so congratulations on making it!

This is actually a solid good time. I really like the art, it's so simple, yet so clean. I would only remove the outline from the bolt signs in order to blend them with the rest of the style.

The gameplay loop is really solid for something done in Scratch. You managed to scope well and do the game in time, so well done1

One pro tip for future jams and games you publish publicly overall: Try not using assets like songs or graphics from elsewhere, it might ruffle some feathers because of many legal reasons. If you don't manage to make your own, at least try to find ones that are free to use. For music and sound effects I'd recommend https://freesound.org/, it's got the vast amount of sounds and some music samples free to use for your project and for the graphics (and generally everything) you can find many asset packs on https://itch.io/game-assets .

Overall, well done. Keep on making games!

Last Night at Tax fraud by iMadislol 2022-04-05T22:10:03Z

A very nice mix of FNaF and Typing of the Dead, great artstyle, very fun! I just wish the tutorial wasn't as frontloaded as it is right now.

Destination Station by JM-Janzen 2022-04-05T21:48:12Z

Thank you so much for including the WebGL build!

First off, the music scared the living heck out of me! It started so abruptly and so loud!

After the initial shock however, I found this game to be a nice managing sim. I really liked the reviews that pop at the right side of your screen, really nice touch.

Not bad!

LD53 — Delivery

Sir John Diggity and his friends: A Dangerous Delivery by Sheepolution 2023-05-12T18:56:02Z

This is an awesome entry! Excellent concept and interesting premise! I especially loved the intro cutscene! The only two things that were lacking for me were the audio and the game length. The music track that played during the gameplay was too quiet and I really think the game would have benefited not only from more sound effects, but from more bombastic ones, like screams, shouts, maybe even some curse here and there. If it were louder I think it would have amplified the comedy so much more. The game also goes for too long, which is a shame because while teh concept is great, it gets a bit old without any variation. Overall, a solid entry, I had a great time with this one!

And now what ? by Nicso 2023-05-04T15:21:00Z

Wow, the game looks amazing, that art direction is stellar! Great job on pulling out such a coherent and clean style in such a short period of time! As for the game, the concept is great and what little content there is is so much fun! I had a great time playing this game, it's such a shame there isn't more of it. Well done!

Signs of Corruption by seurimas 2023-05-03T11:18:44Z

Holy crap, what a great entry! It reminds me of the old dos games I used to play as a kid! I wish I had someone to play with, but the AI put up a decent fight. The agent power seemed a bit random which messed with my strategies, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this nostalgia bomb!

Trajectory Express by icxon 2023-05-14T22:11:19Z

This game has a very nice skybox - that is not something I compliment every day, but together with the start particles it makes for one of the prettier cosmoses in jam games. The game itself is neat, although I really wish there was a way to invert movement, the default movement scheme was really counter intuitive for me personally. Still it did not deter me completely from enjoying the game, so well done!

Astroxite by MAT4DOR 2023-05-12T18:58:28Z

It has always impressed me that people come up with complex sims and resource managements in such a short amount of time. This game might have been too complex for me as I did not perform that good at all, but I appreciate it either way!

Early Morning Tofu Delivery by Yngvarr 2023-05-14T21:32:03Z

As others mentioned, the car felt really good to control, albeit with occasional physics hiccups during some bumps. I also appreciate the fact that you set the game in the dark, it gets the most out of the visuals and it creates a mood of a late night shift tofu delivery, I thought that was really clever. Well done you two, this was a good one!

Rotting Hood's De-liver-y Service by Kyle Farwell 2023-05-19T17:37:48Z

Interesting premise, you don't see conscious zombies with personality everyday! I dig the idea behind the game as well, but unfortunately I kept getting caught by the security guard, I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. Nevertheless, this is a really good game, I enjoyed my time with it!

Golden Hour by Tyrannas 2023-05-05T22:56:23Z

A fun little naval combat game! The ship is very smooth and fun to control! It was also a strangely relaxing game, despite all of the carnage that's happening on the sea. It looks beautiful and it sounds lovely! Not much I could add that others haven't pointed out, I had some real nice and therapeutic time sinking enemy ships while making my ship a strong force to be reckoned with!

Phantom Package by 0x01F0 2023-05-04T16:10:08Z

You guys nailed the atmosphere in this one, the acting is very good and the game looks great. It all fits well together, great job everyone!

Cargo Cove by superjai 2023-05-08T17:51:38Z

What a great game with some awesome game design decisions! I really liked the compass, that's a really good idea. The visual style also rocks, it's really inventive, although the ships felt a bit too flat if you know what I mean. Overall, great time!

Bagelseeker by alaah 2023-05-09T00:51:28Z

Dude, this is an ultra cool project! I'm not even sure how you managed to pull it off! Even though I haven't beaten the game (let's just say I really suck at bagel placing ;-;) I'm in love with idea, like this is what game jams are for! It is a shame to see most of the people were having issues, but don't let that discourage you, this is easily the top 3 entries I have played this jam. I love it I love it I love it

Cheeky Cheesy by Kurakurture 2023-05-01T20:49:10Z

Neat little concept. It's only unfortunate that cheese can spawn on tiles surrounded by holes. I can see this being a neat little mini game in a mascot platformer!

After Curfew by machinescreen 2023-05-02T10:09:10Z

I love how this game looks and the mood is excellent, it really captures that dreary vibe and getting spotted by the drones is heart wrenching! The only gripe I have with this entry is that sometimes I found myself getting spotted through the walls, maybe I missed a drone that was behind me or something, but I swear it happened multiple times. That only added to the spookiness, I loved my time with this one!

The Snack Shack by Sarah 2023-05-03T01:10:38Z

Oh cool, a cooking game! I have been enjoying cooking as of late and this was right up my alley! The menus took me some time to get used to, but it was a smooth sailing afterwards. The game looks really neat, those burgers look delicious! Great job on this one!

Inbox Fool by 100th_Coin 2023-05-03T10:28:42Z

The idea is awesome and the presentation is charming as all hell! The levels are varied and nicely designed and it even features a fun boss fight with an epic orchestral arrangement! There are two things I'd personally add/change to make it even better. The first is, please let people know that they won't die if only a fraction of their body is colored red during camera shifts, it could've saved me a lot of trial and error. Speaking of saving time, some kind of undo system wouldve been neat since some levels (especially level 5) require a lot of work and you can screw up at the very end, meaning you'd have to reset the entire level if you get stuck. I'm not sure how I wouldve done it, some kind of checkpoint system after every segment might have been neat, but those gripes didn't sour my love for this game at all! Great entry, one of the best this jam!

Mail Tusk Force by fatPenguin 2023-05-02T09:54:28Z

This game looks great! I really loved the production values of this one! The walruses are totes adorbz and the gameplay loop is engaging, having more than three walruses is hectic and fun as heck! I have only encountered a small glitch where it would select water dispenser when I wanted to buy a chair, but that sorted itself out when I reopened and closed the menu. Well done, this is a great entry!

Ouija by DrunkardWolf 2023-05-14T22:03:37Z

Bloody impressive for a compo game! It looks amazing and it managed to send some chills down my spine and that's not something I can say often about jam games. Brilliant!

Quantum Post by Eli Delventhal 2023-05-02T11:57:18Z

I love that one world in Braid where you have to work with your clone so I found myself right at home at this game. One small thing i found annoying is that checkpoints don't replenish your time when you touch them, meaning you have to rewind back either way which is kind of annoying. Another thing that confused me is that the game says you have to press "delete" on your keyboard to manually rewind time while the rewind button was actually backspace, you might want to fix that! :p The game looked great and the music kicked ass, I had a really good time overall with this one!

AMA Jo by AVAVT 2023-05-11T20:48:19Z

This is definitely the most interesting entry this jam imo. I set up a quick python script to solve the intro captcha just to see if it works and I was dumbfounded. I stopped there due to my limited free time, but I will definitely play this some more later, probably in the node js version since I want to learn some nodejs. I'll keep you posted if you want to o:. Super cool!

Package Panik by Gerolmed 2023-05-12T19:04:54Z

Woah, this game is massive and impressive! Unfortunately, I suck some serious ass at those management games, but I can appreciate the work that has gone into it. It looks great, the music in the background sounds nice and I did feel at one moment like I knew what I was doing. Congrats on making it!

Finicky Delivery AI - ChatGPT Powers This Game! by DGSpitzer 2023-05-11T20:27:44Z

Now that was an interesting experiment! AI was cooperating fine with me and I had some pleasant conversations with NPCs, I can say they made this game really stand out. This might be where the games might be heading in the future, so kudos for showing us what that future might be like!

Volcaninja by Firespike33 2023-05-11T20:16:44Z

Dude, that was a great game! I usually despise playing action games and platformers on mouse and keyboard, but I had so much fun with this one, the controls are extremely smooth! 12 incredibly designed levels with a music theme that kicks some serious ass, oh yes! As I said, I only wish I got to play this on a controller, I think I would have avoided some unfortunate deaths. Awesome!

Deliver Us Evil by k8n 2023-05-01T20:45:36Z

I love how this game looks, but I am terrible at deciphering stuff so I cannot comment much on the game itself. The atmosphere is great and I love how this cult feels. Very dreary, I wish I could have helped them summon their evil overlord and now I feel bad for not being able to do much ;_;

A Town in Labor by EvoGenGames 2023-05-08T17:57:58Z

Haha, this is super cool! I made a game in Paint and you made the one for Excel! Super impressive work and the game itself is really fun once you get into it. Great job dude!

SWAN SONG by Simon Rahnasto 2023-05-04T18:35:22Z

Woah, what an amazing entry! Production values are absurdly high for a game made in only three days, it's super polished! The atmosphere is thick and sound design is superb! I only wished that the darkened parts weren't entirely pitch black. Great one, one of my favorites!

@milank jeb'o si mu kevu :d

Pack 'em UP! by Timbaleek 2023-05-02T09:54:53Z

Heyo, don't forget to put a link for your game!

Pack 'em UP! by Timbaleek 2023-05-03T11:08:58Z

Oh shit @fabula-rasa , thank you for letting me know, I thought it was an embedded trailer or something!

Now that I played the game, I can say I had fun! It was hectic and stressful, which perfectly simulates the delivery service under crunch! The game looked nice and the tune playing in the background was sweet. It took me some time to figure out how to play though, some more in game explanation wouldve been nice. I also wished the character in the factory/shed wasn't that slippery to control. Overall, fun time!

30-second Deliveries by Sebastian-M 2023-05-14T21:18:46Z

Very interesting idea, I had fun watching the ragdoll fly all across the map! I only have two gripes with this one, the first one is that it's a little hard to tell where the package will end after launch. This wouldn't be an issue if timer didn't start as soon as the package is launched because the package can bounce off multiple times, wasting time in a way I couldnt have forseen. Also it annoyed me that the camera was inverted while the ragdoll was flying, it's not a big complained, it just annoyed me, I managed to accept it and live with it. Still a decent game, great job!

Neural Rot by Angela He 2023-05-07T19:44:29Z

What a rad game, the concept is hilarious, yet challenging and engaging. I love everything about the visuals and core design! The only real gripe I have with the game is that the rotating camera was on by default. I left it on because I had no idea what it did and what kind of game I was getting into and it proved to be really annoying, so I had to restart the game to turn it off.

It's also possible to get suck in the game, but luckily there is a reset button!

Untitled.png

Overall, this is a really polished and surprisingly meaty jam game, definitely one of my favorites this jam!

Mother's Day: Requiem by jaydubbyasee 2023-05-04T11:41:13Z

Absolutely hilarious concept, definitely the funniest game I have played so far this jam! Loved every second of playing it!

Beelivery by Jejkobb 2023-05-02T12:17:16Z

This is a wonderful game jam game, I love it! Not many jam games where you can find cutscenes, let alone of this quality! The game itself also look wonderful, the challenges are varied and they make a good use of your main mechanic. I only wished the jar wasn't swinging that much ;_; Great stuff!

Maily Melo by Blix 2023-05-04T15:57:46Z

Incredible art style, one of the best looking games this jam! The writing was also great, I had tons of fun and laughs reading all of the letters and exploring the relationships between the characters. Loved this one, one of my favorites!

Sunshine Trial by ardorugus 2023-05-14T15:28:13Z

That was weird! It's neat to see some very experimental games here. I followed the game to what I think is the end because I wanted to know what was going on. If I have to take something out of this game it's that we should enjoy our lives as much as we can, because who knows when it will all end and how sudden it might be. Interesting stuff!

Message Delivered by velvetlobster 2023-05-03T11:12:02Z

Woah, the way this one looks and feels is incredible, you really nailed the federal government software interface! Lovely work!

Neo City Express by Pedro Medeiros 2023-05-08T00:17:12Z

What an amazing entry! There's not much I can add that others haven't mentioned, apart for pointing out again that the Tinder part was a bit confusing. This is a great game with great message, bravo!

Sender Not Found by whycardboard 2023-05-03T10:41:31Z

What a great idea, this was like doing an English test with a very tense storyline! The presentation is authentic and it's really well done. One might say that ending was predictable, but I didn't care, I was completely immersed! Well done!

Alea Ludum Dare by Vladadamm 2023-05-15T23:49:12Z

This is a neat extension that might potentially give some people a better chance in reaching the vote criteria, I really like the idea behind this addon. It works and it does the job. Well done!

NightClub DrugLord by Kentin_BK 2023-05-03T21:17:34Z

This was cool, the production values were great and it was a very interesting concept! Haven't been on a rave in a long while so this brought some nice memories. Nicely done!

Wheely Wheely Good Deliveries by Rolly 2023-05-14T21:28:08Z

This was a nice entry. As people have said, it really takes some time to get used to controls, but once you do it's actually intuitive. Also it took me some time to figure out you can hold the pedal keys, which is super nice. It also took me some time to figure out how to pick up orders and where to deliver them, I was super confused for a while. The presentation is great, especially for a compo game and failing never felt too frustrating because it was so damn funny. Great job, great entry!

Don't Chute the Messenger by DecadeDecaf 2023-05-03T00:35:04Z

This is a nice middle finger to the evil that continues to loom over us called capitalism. The visuals are lovely and I love the message behind this game. I didn't get what the dice were for at first, but as soon as I fell into my first slide in the wrong direction I found them very clever. The game looks great and the music slaps. Loved this one!

City Runners by ScalphaMission 2023-05-03T10:51:20Z

I loved the speed in this one and how it controlled, it felt super satisfying to just move around. The only thing that irked me was the camera, the swing back when player stops is way too hard. It's a minor gripe, but other than that I had fun!

The Convoy by Vectrex28 2023-05-14T22:17:00Z

Woah, this is super cool, you don't see a NES submission every day. The game itself is super fun and really well done, NES or not. There's really not much to criticize it, I love it and I already played it a couple of times.

I have one question: if I wanted to start developing a game for NES, where would I start? Got any recommendations for a good starting point?

Juggle Mail by kuviman 2023-05-09T01:06:51Z

Hahah, this is awesome! Nothing I don't love about this entry, it's very unfortunate that I suck some serious ass. I can't keep juggling more than 4 newspapers, but that won't stop me from fully appreciating this game! Well done, this is super cool!

All your Deliveries have come at once!! by JAsonsumm1 2023-05-04T15:15:49Z

Very hectic game, yet also very relaxing. I used to pretend to do something like this when I was a kid when I was looking through my grandma's furniture brochures that occasionally came in the mail. Still, I never got to stack 10 TVs in a single room, which was a fulfilment of a fantasy I never knew I had up until now. Very sweet game, good work!

Dingsi by maxi1324 2023-05-04T14:35:39Z

I loved the incredibly trippy setting of this game. As others have pointed out, the music got painful to listen to after a while, but I think it adds to the surreal nature of the setting. Chasing the screws was really fun and the robot idea sounded promising, but one major think that ruined the robot section for me was camera. For some reason it was inverted and I couldn't scroll it on Y axis, making the last platforming section incredibly hard. I did manage to pass through and I had fun overall, this is incredible for a compo game. Great job!

Superstar Surgeon: a Sensitive Subject by Fupi 2023-05-05T22:02:45Z

What a great entry! Funny, beautiful, endearing, in good taste, I loved my time with this one. I don't have much to add what others haven't said already, this is super cool! Glad I got to play this one!

Superstar Surgeon: a Sensitive Subject by Fupi 2023-05-05T22:26:33Z

@fupi Hey, no worries! I'm glad you were interested in trying it and that's what matters the most to me! :)

Courier Craze by Sprotex 2023-05-18T17:31:03Z

I found the gibberish sfx funny and the game seems like a prototype for something very decent. I couldn't figure out what jump button is for and the game seems not to end properly, the red people just stop spawning after a while. Nevertheless, I had fun with this one, good job!

Fission Fight by Jahwffrey 2023-05-12T17:11:49Z

I love this

WORD DROP by MKRaw 2023-05-01T19:38:23Z

This is a nice little game with huge amount of words. My only gripe is that word parts you hold tend to stick to another parts you don't want to connect them with if you happen to bump into them. Maybe letting the key go when you think you are near the correct word part would work better. I had fun!

Flight Dispatch by Fedora 2023-05-14T21:48:59Z

I'm impressed by amount of effort that went into this. The presentation is top notch, the whole game feels so authentic and I also appreciate the effort that went into the itch page itself. The game is super cool, there aren't many games that allow player to be a remote drone dispatcher and director, it's really unique. The only issue I have is that the game's performance is kinda wonky, it dies for a solid minute when I switch to full screen and there were a lot of mini freezes during the tutorial (I played the HTML version). Still, that did not deter me from enjoying this one. Wonderful project, well done everyone!

Lord of Hosts by Austin Sierra 2023-05-04T11:30:02Z

Holy crap, the fact that this exist is amazing! Sadly I won't be able to set up TempleOS to play this, but the fact that it exists and that it looks like a competent game (judging by your gameplay video) while also being in tone with other TempleOS software delights me to no end! Kudos for making this, this is an awesome project!

Parcel Panic by icch_howw 2023-05-01T19:17:03Z

This is an excellently designed jam game! It makes for a tense RE4 item organizer without any of the horror elements! Well balanced, really fun to play, nicely polished, great job!

Forklift-em-up by BadPiggy 2023-05-07T19:26:03Z

Super cool entry! Nothing beats the good old mindless button mashing violence in games. Lovely style as always, great work!

APOCATRUCKS - Post-apocalyptic delivery tower defence by iamdavidmt 2023-05-01T19:32:10Z

A very decent mix of a tower defense and a clicking game. Well done!

Shattered Reflections by Perrin 2023-05-05T16:10:08Z

Holy crap, I solved it first try, did not expect to see that solved message because I was just guessing on the vague clues I found. It was a wild guess, really, I found the clues to be a bit too vague. I guess there was more to the game, but the clues were pretty much the same and the solve button didn't work, so either I'm missing something or the game is unfinished. It was a great time though, wonderful atmosphere.

Huge fan of Kairo here btw, rock on!

Edit: Oh wow, I'm a dumbo, after reading the comments I went back and realized I missed one spot! Now I have beaten the game and that was a neat little twist. I can see why you decided to lock the solve button, but some kind of hint to a player that it would unlock once you find the "thing" would've prevented the confusion Wonderful stuff either way!

Carnage Courier by DecrementedPalindrome 2023-05-18T17:26:08Z

Woah, what a cool game! I love the idea behind it! The controls are very unorthodox and they take some time to get used to, but once you do, the game is great! Improvising the build of my ship in the middle of the battle is super fun, well done!

Popcorn Odyssey by 0X_VOID_X0 2023-05-18T17:20:29Z

Super cool idea, although it took me some time to get used to the camera! I like how smoothly the challenge arises, the level design is top notch! Very good game, I had great time playing this, great job!

A Backyard Scramble by Bea 2023-05-04T15:12:18Z

This one was hilarious! Birds crapping eggs all over, jumping on your balloon and generally getting in the way leads to chaotic and funny gameplay! I had some trouble getting out through the first door, but as soon as I did, it was the smooth sailing, or at least as smooth as it could be :p The visuals are great and the music perfectly compliments the game, making it even more silly. Well done, I loved this one!

A City Minute by Red_dino 2023-05-04T11:25:57Z

What a melancholic little game! The vibes are immaculate with this one! Unfortunately, I got stuck on the guy on the second apartment, no matter what I tried, there was no prompt to enter it. I don't care though, I had a lot of fun soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the town. Well done!

Lightbearer by Deathlymad 2023-05-02T09:38:06Z

A neat idea for a game with very thick atmosphere! Besides low framerate I experienced a glitch that would set your torch time to indefinite if you manage fiddle with interact button a couple of times. That did not prevent me in soaking up the woods though! Good job!

A Bag by Zhiteng Chen 2023-05-05T11:51:33Z

Yes

Anvil Express by Zykra 2023-05-19T20:29:20Z

I found movement to be very smooth, I liked that you included bunny hopping! The music is also pretty good! The biggest irk that I have with this game is that the camera locks when cursor reaches the side of my screen, that was very annoying to deal with. Otherwise, good work, this is a decent little game!

Blood and flavor by nyanpierre 2023-05-14T21:40:40Z

Super interesting concept for a puzzle game! With a little bit of tweaking and more consistent level design, this could be expanded into a bigger game. I also appreciate the effort that went into the presentation, although level transitions are a bit abrupt and some of the sound effects can get old fast. Still, great job on making it, this is a really nice game!

UNPRESIDENTED by Alyson Betz 2023-05-18T21:59:19Z

The game is really funny, but unfortunately I found it to be extremely hard, to the point of being unplayable, I gave my best, but the most I could last is around 15 seconds. Very neat idea and I really liked the presentation!

Fulfillment by fargred 2023-05-02T12:01:30Z

Fun little sorting game with some depth added by shuffling the doors, this is a fun little time killer! I also liked sounds manager guys made when they appeared!

Deliverance by EpicGameFan 2023-05-01T19:48:06Z

This game looks and sounds great! Moving, jumping and dashing all feel good, but I really didn't enjoy how sticky the walls were. I wish there was a button that allowed me to grab on the walls manually, I think that would have made the game so much smoother! I had fun though and this is a neat little game, so congrats on making it!

African Bicycle Dealer by OldDog 2023-05-04T15:36:53Z

What a great compo game that starts out simple and then becomes more and more complex! I loved my time with this one, planning routes, upgrading my guys and eventually upgrading the towns themselves and whatnot. My only two gripes are the sound effects that overlap once you have too many couriers and the route planning wasn't very intuitive, but other than that this is an amazing jam game. Super cool!

Hear Ye! by krummja 2023-05-04T11:38:05Z

The art is very appealing and the method of attack is super funny! I enjoyed tooting along the background music while fighting the enemies. Fun little platformer!

Reloot by orbitaldot 2023-05-02T10:23:31Z

What an amazing twist! I loved my time with this one and I can't add much praise that the others have already sung! Art, music, gameplay, everything is wonderful! Brilliant!

Courier Cacophony by SugarSugarSugar 2023-05-01T20:00:15Z

This is an amazingly designed puzzle game! I loved how everything was designed, each mechanic (and there were a lot of mechanics in this one) felt intuitive and you managed to craft 45 great puzzles with them. Great job!

Once upon a delivery... by SayuriNyooko 2023-05-02T12:33:17Z

This game was hilarious, I loved the wolves dancing animation and every time they appeared they gave me a great time! The gameplay is very interesting, a Vampire Survivors - like game where you have to move from point a to point b sounds like a good idea, I only wished there were more wolves to kill. Great time!

Carry On by Mascoll 2023-05-01T19:08:10Z

I loved how the postman looked, he was drawn very well! Unfortunately, I wasn't really sure on how to play the game. I suppose you have to push boxes, which is a nice idea, but I couldn't figure out where to push them or what to do with them. It's a decent effort!

Blind Delivery by DaivyIsHere 2023-05-04T11:19:59Z

This is amazing, I haven't thought you would be able to make this concept work, but you did! Very smooth sound transitions and queues, the minimalism helped me clearly paint the picture of the wonderful idyllic forest in my head. Super cool entry, one of my favorites!

This was a nicely done visual novel! Very well written with awesome artwork! Almost wished I wanted a child!

Super Pizza Kid by CaliceDev 2023-05-04T10:54:40Z

Hey Cassie, this is a neat little platformer! It took me some time to get used to the floaty controls, but once I got a hang of it I was able to pull some sick moves that felt super satisfying to perform! The level design is great, early levels allow you to get accustomed to controls easily while later stages pose some serious challenge. I had fun with this one, well done and congrats on making it!

Personal Delivery Conglomerate™ by chybby 2023-05-02T11:50:04Z

A neat little take on the concept, super polished and extremely well done. The only thing I'd change in a perfect scenario is tutorial, the plain text isn't the most exciting way to learn how the game works, but I understand you guys were under heavy workload already so I won't dock you points for that. Great stuff!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-05T22:23:55Z

@k8n @tyrannas Well, that's not good. I tested the script on a slower PC and it had trouble running it the first time, but after a couple of times it eventually work, so you could maybe try that. Additionally, since I have no idea why that happens on your PC, I'd appreciate if you shared with me the terminal log. Either way, I am really thankful that you guys took some time out of your day to try out my game, it really means a lot!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-05T22:41:22Z

@tyrannas Aha, I see. That line is looking for the window called 'Untitled - Paint' so it could focus it and maximize it. I guess that if your OS is in foreign language that window is not called 'Untitled - Paint', but rather something else. If that's the case, you can rename 'Untitled - Paint' to whatever it's called in your language and it will work.

This is a huge oversight on my part, it never occurred to me that people don't necessarily have Windows in English while I was developing the game, so thank you for pointing that out to me! I'll see how I can address it!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-05T23:08:09Z

@tyrannas From the looks of it, the window name you replaced it doesn't match with the name of the window. You may have misspelled it or there's maybe a special character you missed. From the looks of it, you're French, so the name of your mspaint window should be 'Sans titre - Paint', and the line of code should be `mspaint_window = gw.getWindowsWithTitle('Sans Titre - Paint')[0]`

If you are sure the name you put in the parenthesis and the name of your window match, then I'm not sure what would cause the issue. Either way, thank you so much for taking time to debug this with me!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-05T23:17:02Z

@tyrannas That's very strange. Are you on Windows 11 by any chance? If so, there may be some issues since I calculated the window setup for Windows 10. If you are on Windows 10, then make sure you don't touch the mouse while the board is being drawn!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-05T23:44:09Z

@tyrannas Oh shit, I had no idea, I'd love to see what that looks like. Could you add me on Discord or something to chat?

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-06T00:22:36Z

@tyrannas I love you dude, thank you so much for being so invested in this project! You've been an immense help in helping me figure out where to go next with this project by finding this oversight. Also kudos for bothering to fix it, it means the world to me!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-07T10:30:52Z

@firespike33 It's very possible that pellets spawned right onto border lines, although I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen. Thank you for reporting it, I'll investigate and see what's up with that. It would help a lot if you tell me which exe did you download, as well as your screen resolution!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-07T12:16:31Z

@xparker The 150% zoom is causing the issue. Thank you for letting me know, if it's not a problem, could you try running the game at 100% zoom just so I could have some idea about how the program behaves at regular 4k screen? Sorry for the trouble!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-07T17:28:12Z

@xparker That's good to know, thank you for going out of your way to test it out!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-08T10:47:21Z

@avavt Hello, thanks for the comment and the suggestions! You can actually increase the brush size by pressing 'ctrl' and '+' together. Sadly I couldn't implement that in code because it didn't work for whatever reason, but increasing the brush size manually works pretty well!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-08T11:47:30Z

@firespike33 I see, thank you for reporting! I still have to find the potential cause of the issue, if anyone else has this happen to them, please let me know!

Hey @kanity , you need to install the python libraries, the ones I listed in the description (pip install ones). To install them, run a command prompt and type `pip install *name of the library*`. Hope that helps!

@avavt and @xparker, check out this [blogpost](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/commutator/a-sizeable-update), it addresses some of the concerns you had with the game. Hopefully you'll find it more fun with this update!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-17T00:09:35Z

@zefphyer Hello, could you tell me what version of Windows are you on and also what version of the game did you download, as well as your screen size? Thanks in advance!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-17T10:35:56Z

@zefphyer I see, thank you. If it's not a hassle, I'd really appreciate if you tried the updated version and see if it was any better. Thank you for trying the game out either way, I really appreciate it!

Commutator by Sodoj 2023-05-19T00:32:34Z

@zefphyer Thank you for trying once again and sorry for all the mentions!

I'd love to have the game default to English, but as I explained in this [blogpost](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/commutator/the-horrors-of-making-a-game-running-in-microsoft-paint-window), the layout in Paint is different in every language and even some of the hotkeys are different, that is the sole reason why I added support for French and Spanish and also the reason I can't afford to do what you suggested, who knows what script might end up clicking, potentially giving a scare to unsuspecting players!

O.W.L. - Owls with luggage by Pentaworks 2023-05-12T12:47:31Z

Wow, this took me a lot of time to figure out how it works, but once I did I managed to have some fun. The menu was super cool, I love those immersive types of menus, but it took me embarrassingly long time to find out the "start game" button. The font was also very hard to read, I had trouble making out the text. However, as I said, I did get used to the game eventually, the weird controls really put me into the shoes of being a delivery owl for the first time, so there's that :p I really dig the overall presentation and the tune playing in the background is super soothing. Not bad!

SPACE.FARER by MartinK 2023-05-19T17:33:10Z

Planet Xpress by Retrific 2023-05-02T10:00:27Z

I gotta admit, I have ignored the game rules since I couldn't figure out how to deliver packages and just had a lot of fun flying through space and ramming into planets. Thank you for the good time!

Entrega by dysleixc 2023-05-11T20:25:09Z

Lovely game, I guess this is what the modern Atari would be like if they were still in console business! It took me some time to understand what's going on, I really wished there was some kind of in game tutorial or something. It helped when I read the description, but I believe it would be much better if that stuff was in game integrated with some demonstrative gameplay. It's not something I hold against the game since it's a compo entry, I'm just suggesting that you should add it if you plan on making a post jam update or something. The game itself is wonderful, I loved playing it! Very addicting, yet very challenging and overall really fun!

Shaggy Rush by biteZZZ 2023-05-01T19:01:39Z

hey guys, just a heads up, it seems like you forgot to add links for your games!

Rain On Their Parade! by TomasPraestholm 2023-05-11T19:50:11Z

5/5 entry, I have nothing much to add to what other peoples have said, like, this is incredible! The only nitpick I might have is that it feels like some of the objects you should shower and some that you shouldn't are too close to each other, but those instances are very rare, it happens once or twice on a farm. But hey, that's just a nitpick, this is a near perfect jam game. Very glad I got to play this, great job everyone!

BOI by SID37 2023-05-02T12:39:44Z

At first I thought this was going to be a standard cowboy game but then I realized you can stack cows and this quickly became one of my favorite entries I have played so far! I only wished the lasso was a little bit more intuitive to use, it's really unusual to say the least. Good work!

The Delivery by aile 2023-05-07T11:53:21Z

This game looks beautiful, it has such a distinctive style, yet it also pays homage to all of the great retro point and click games. The mood was also weirdly melancholic, you managed to strike very enchanting atmosphere in a game where you basically walk from point A to point B, delivering some seemingly innocuous seeds in the process. The characters are quirky and endearing, I really liked how they would have something to say if you approached them close enough, a lovely little detail! The ending was a bit weird though. Without spoiling anything for future comment readers, I think it came out of nowhere and it was a big contrast compared to the rest of the game. But, such is life, I guess, one moment you are in a beautiful wonderland, the next one who knows where you might be. Lovely little project, good job on making it!

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-14T16:02:29Z

Cute, endearing, surprisingly hectic and overall well made game. I was surprised how much depth there is to selecting and wrapping gifts, after playing the tutorial I expected to only play with coals, I was hugely surprised when that didn't turn out to be the case. Very well done!

Cyndermine Mail Delivery Service by simmo 2023-05-02T12:09:10Z

A lot of work has gone into this in such a short period of time, I really appreciate how there are different background gimmicks for each world even though the perspective is super weird. The ability to add custom tracks is also really neat!

Also, like @defrag mentioned, don't worry too much about not being able to polish your game, you have already done hell of a work with this game!

De-Evil-ery by Pipo 2023-05-03T21:23:18Z

I don't have the VR headset, but I decided to take a peek at what I could play anyway, so I'll rate you guys only in graphcis and mood. I found art style really appealing and the premise sounds interesting. I wish I could've played this ;-;

De-Evil-ery by Pipo 2023-05-07T19:20:13Z

Ooh, that gameplay video does look really neat!

Haitatsu by Answer21 2023-05-03T10:59:54Z

I was ready to start hacking and slashing after that intro cutscene, the actual premise of the game really caught me off guard and gave me a good laugh! I really liked the concept, but I couldn't progress past level 2 since I couldn't get the jumps after I picked up an order from subway, which was a shame, I really wanted to know where it was going. The music was a bop!

Red Planet Rendezvous by csimpson 2023-05-02T09:22:10Z

This was a deceptively hard game! However, the controls were intuitive so it wasn't frustrating at all! I even managed to land the cargo multiple times with each one being different. Well done!

deliver me from X by konfekt 2023-05-15T22:39:01Z

Wow, you took everything magical out of the miracle of birth and left only the most unsettling things, making for a gripping and unnerving story that had me glued to the screen. I loved this one, the only thing that sort of broke the immersion is the very very loud music at that one part, I wish there was a way to adjust audio before the game began. Great job!

The Frog Prince by Thomas Karcher 2023-05-08T17:54:56Z

The presentation at the beginning is super charming, I loved it! The game itself is a nice little sokoban like game, and I love sokoban! Had a great time with this one, congrats on making it! :)

Haitatsuin no kaeru by kartun04 2023-05-04T15:25:58Z

As everyone mentioned here, the art is gorgeous, one of the most beautiful entries this jam! The game itself I didn't really get, I was walking to the right and suddenly the game ended with credits. Not sure if I did something wrong or if the game was just like that, but it was worth playing just to see the amazing backgrounds!

Magical Domain by kanity 2023-05-07T12:01:08Z

Wow, this is a surprisingly meaty and polished jam entry. You managed to create a lovely little world, full of interesting characters and a well done world building. I enjoyed myself with this one, well done!

Mushroom Mail by Endocrine_BAMSc 2023-05-04T15:50:19Z

The game is totes adorbz, I love the art direction, it suits the sereneness and beauty of an enchanted forest really well! The game itself was cool, I really liked the Yoshi island mechanic where the package flies away when you get hurt and you have to pick it up, that made so much sense for this LD! What bothered me a bit was how the falling in this game works, I liked that jumps are more on a floaty side, but if you fall from a platform or if you hit your head, you drop like a bag of bricks, which made some of the platforming a little bit harder to deal with. I also completely missed that there was a shooting mechanic my first run through, but the game was completely playable even without it! Great entry, I really enjoyed my time with it!

Dead Deliverance by JimmyMcGinger 2023-05-01T22:26:42Z

I loved the sprite work in this game! The idea is neat, even though it took me a couple of times to figure out that you are supposed to bring enemies' souls back to the burning well. Platforming felt a little bit finicky, especially when you have to climb up the bottom part of the arena, but overall I had a good time playing a couple of rounds!

Super Special Delivery by Nathan Franck 2023-05-03T00:02:33Z

For what it's worth, that menu got me stoked up to play something amazing. It's unfortunate that you didn't get to finish the game, but it's probably for the best. Take care and see you next time! :)

The Lightless Caves by nimbushead 2023-05-19T20:25:21Z

It's pretty hard to make a cube carrying a ball unsettling, but you managed to do it. I was on my toes because I didn't know what to expect from such a simple premise and that has to count for something!

On My Way by Zefphyer 2023-05-08T17:46:12Z

The beginning of the game scared the hell out of me, I did not expect it to start so abruptly! The sound design only added to the tense atmosphere, making this game unexpectedly one of the scariest games I've ever played in game jams, if not the scariest! Good job in managing to achieve that!

Gold Deliveries by Wave Propagation 2023-05-14T21:52:44Z

Simplicity is the key sometimes and this game demonstrates that well. I love how the player character looks and I really dig the movement, I appreciate the effort that went into it! Well done!

Hive by blank_3D 2023-05-12T19:17:43Z

This is a very nice game with a decent idea! The colors are great and the music playing in the background is relaxing. The only thing that bogs it down is the camera. It took me a solid minute to get out of the beehive the first time around because the camera is too close, and when I got out the camera felt too sensitive to control despite me tweaking the sensitivity in options. Speaking of which, I really appreciated that you can go to the options in the middle of a game and tweak settings, that was super cool of you to include! Anyway, back to the camera, I think the main issue is that the camera doesn't stop when I stop the mouse movement, but instead it continues moving a bit like it has some kind of momentum. I think I get why you decided to do it that way, to simulate the flight of a bee, but in my opinion it made the game much harder to play. Despite that, I enjoyed the game and I had good time collecting pollen and expanding the hive! Great job!

Fetch Quest. A small text adventure by Patrick Abernathy 2023-05-01T22:19:20Z

The Delivery of the Message by GreenwoodDrive 2023-05-11T20:00:09Z

At first I was very confused, I was expecting to fight the enemies, but I found no ways to attacked them. So, I just started moving to wherever the distance meter was lowering and eventually I won. I played on easy and hard difficulty. The mood and music are great and I felt fun side stepping some of the enemies on hard, but I can't help but feel I was missing something my whole playthrough. Still, I had some decent time so good job!

The soundtrack slaps holy crap!

Arithmancy by Dining Philosopher 2024-04-16T17:25:49Z

It's a very interesting concept, I haven't played anything like it so far. It could've been amazing, but the RNG factor heavily detracts from the whole experience. The units are interesting on paper and require thinking outside of box, but in practice I barely got use out of any of them. Still, this is a decent attempt and I hope you flesh this concept out more, I can see the potential and I fully believe it will make for a fine game!

The Weaver from the remote hamlet by Tyrannas 2024-04-17T16:04:22Z

Yooooo, it's the dude who helped me troubleshoot my mspaint game last year and his crew! Good to see you guys again! Based on screenshots I expected a standard card game, which plays along nicely with the theme of summoning, but it's so much more than that! In fact, it doesn't even become a card game until you get like 4 of them. It's both visual novel with a great subtle hint of something sinister that might be going on and a nice cast of likeable characters, a surprisingly neat card/puzzle game and an audiovisual marvel! The only thing that I'd like to see fixed is the text that appears in between gameplay scenes, it's kind of bland looking compared to the rest of the game and it appears way too fast, especially the choice text which doesn't even have a fade-in animation. Apart from that, this game is great, I loved my time with it!

The Weaver from the remote hamlet by Tyrannas 2024-04-18T16:33:49Z

@tyrannas I am also happy you enjoyed our stuff as well! We updated the game with various mini tweaks and we also made the morse code a lot slower and more legible. If you dont feel like going back and decoding it yourself, basically it references a very old Zero Wing meme and it thanks the player for playing the game (yeah we really didn't know how to end it haha). Anyway, its been great seeing you again, hopefully we meet each other again in the next Ludum Dare!

Super cool presentation, I really dig the sinister vibes! I only wish the finger cutting was a bit more brutal and painful, as it is now it just nonchalantly comes off. The game itself is really neat, mixing and matching numbers is addictive. Well done!

Summoning Instructions by Yxure 2024-04-25T15:16:38Z

I love this, it was a wonderful experience, loved how everything was becoming more and more intense as the game progressed. The only thing that I'd do different is to scatter the candles from the shed more and put them in more interesting locations. Well done!

Spirit, are you there? by namnam 2024-04-27T12:07:43Z

This is amazing. I don't have that much to add, I love this so much!

Sumo-ning by wolderado 2024-04-16T19:55:00Z

I love idea behind the presentation, it is superb and some of the best I've seen in this jam thus far! It was very entertaining watching my hellspawn smash the opponent's hellspawn with his belly I played a part of enlarging! With that said, unfortunately the game itself started to get old very quickly, I really wish there was some more variety and tactics in play. Despite that, I still had a great time!

Kalòmancer by BinarySpark 2024-04-16T19:32:15Z

What a cool idea! I used to play a lot of hearthstone back in the day and there were always complaints about how unbalanced that game is so it's really cool to see a game give players an opportunity to balance the game themselves! I enjoyed making my own deck and the game plays almost exactly like hearthstone, which I like. The one thing that didn't sit well with me was the UI, the cards were way too big and the board got stacked very quickly. Nicely done!

The Klent by sirJupitron 2024-04-16T12:04:24Z

A very neatly designed game, I was surprised at how long and also well thought out it is! As a fan of retro games and VVVVVV, I was immediately in love with aesthetics and the second track is a bop! The only big gripe I have with the game is the big green dude that moves you around, I love how derpy he is, but he moves way too slow from one point to another ;_;

theGRIMOIRE_ by 0x0961h 2024-04-16T18:49:45Z

Dude, this game kicks ass. I have nothing constructive to say, I just want to sing you praises! The fact that this was made in under three days is astounding to me. Definitely the best game in this jam I've played so far!

Summoners Rift by Vilmantas 2024-04-16T17:13:23Z

The concept was really neat! Throwing fruits into a summoning bowl and watching it morph into even bigger fruit was actually more fun than I initially anticipated. Fruit getting bigger was a stroke of genius. The controls were kind of tough to get used to at first, but I got the hang of the game pretty easily, managing to play 7 minutes in a row. Serious music and gruesome scene made the whole thing surreal which gave me a good giggle. Well done!

Voxomancy by Ironax 2024-04-18T16:05:48Z

The game unfortunately keeps crashing as soon as enemies start spawning on my low-mid range PC (Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1660S, 16GB RAM). It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it, it seemed so interesting. ;-;

Magical Michael's Summoning Salon by Re-Markable 2024-04-18T16:23:49Z

I am also entering the cute bouncy frog fanclub (and the rest of the cast isnt too shabby either)! It's a nice premise and hell of a lot of work done in such a short amount of time! I'd definitely push for a post jam version of this!

Woodland Rituals by Kilian BAPTENDIER 2024-04-18T16:01:06Z

Easily one of the best mood in games I've played this jam. Unfortunately, I had trouble figuring out what to do for 10 minutes I was playing, but I did have a lot of fun just running around and messing with stuff!

Where is my hat, dudes? by Sobigdrasil 2024-04-16T12:20:39Z

I was very confused at first when I started playing. The game showed me controls in one screen and then immediately booted me in another, I had no idea which entity I was controlling. Once I figured out what was going on however, I started having a lot of fun. I don't have anyone next to me right now to try it in coop, but I can see this being a great party game. The slippery movement threw me off at first, but once I got used to it it became a lot of fun managing the movement, I can also imagine laughing my ass of at my own or my friends clumsiness if we played it in coop. Neat visuals and very fitting background tune, well done!

Sigils Of Abyss by Jokku 2024-04-17T12:47:06Z

It's a neat concept. Discovering what each combination of sigils does is really fun, but it took me a very long time to discover the one that deals damage to the enemy. I can see this being a pretty cool game if fleshed out so keep working at it!

King of the Pit by Alkemiste 2024-04-16T19:01:07Z

A very nice use of theme! The game is very nicely crafted and it was fun seeing what different creatures I summoned could do. I only wished there was a healthbar indicator because the game suddenly ended without me knowing why (if there was any and I was stupid, let me know ;_;)! Great job!

Dicey Demons by UkuleleFury 2024-04-18T15:23:34Z

Super cool presentation, it's one of the more enjoyable card games/auto battlers I've played this jam. I also loved how even though you lose, you don't go through "game over" moping and doping, but instead you are thrown right back into the shop like nothing happened, I really appreciated that. Since it's a dice rolling game, RNG plays a part in it, which can result into some unfortunate losses, but I feel player has enough control to stack the deck in their favor. Overall, well done!

Glyph Tower by YogurtTheHorse 2024-04-25T15:28:13Z

This is super neat, both in concept and execution! Its super juicy and once you pull off sick combos it feels electrifying! Though it really is hard to pull off sick combos, mainly because I suck ass, but also because my cursor keeps slipping away from the screen, a full screen option would have been neat! My ass sucking aside, I also think the game generally could have shined a lot more if it was a bit more relaxed, as it is it feels way too frantic to draw a right symbol and plan your resources. It's just a food for thought since this is an amazing entry!

Edit: I am a dingus, apparently there is a full screen button!

Seamonner Survivor by Transkuja 2024-04-18T15:52:54Z

What a unique idea that plays well into the theme! It's super clever and inventive. I don't have much to criticize or add, except that an in game explanation of how it works or some kind of tutorial would've been nice to have since I was super confused the first couple of times my diver dropped dead for seemingly no reason while I was trying to figure out how do I move him. Awesome job!

Claws and Conundrums by LocksmithArmy 2024-04-16T11:44:01Z

The game looks really good, but that size comes with a cost of a chunky 700mb download ;_;. That said, I think the download was worth it, this was a very cool mystery to solve. There are enough clues that lead me to a reasonable deduction, although it's kind of a shame most of it revolved around reading, it would be nice to have more environmental clues. The book was also a bit harder to spot, maybe you shouldve exaggerated the interactable effect a bit more. Overall, very well done, I had a good time!

Necropets by gasgiant 2024-04-25T15:00:27Z

It's a morbid premise, but the art makes it not just non disturbing, but also charming at times! The atmosphere is unsettling, but its far from gruesome. As for the game, I'm not sure if I figured out how it works. I bury my pets, I bring them to the fight, I get my butt kicked, I get more pets, but also some items I don't know how to use. Since you cant bury them, I tried placing them next to the graves, right on top of the graves, both before and after burying pets, I held them before the battle stars, but no matter what I did I couldn't see the difference the items would make. Regardless of that, it's a neat premise and I think it was worth playing for the atmosphere alone!

Edit: Played it again, I didn't realize you could pick up multiple things at once. I managed to score a couple of wins, which felt great! It was very fun to experiment with different item combos and it was further encouraged by seeing the item effects actually being visually applied on your pet corpses, that was a really nice touch I really enjoyed. I'm glad I gave this another whirl, I definitely appreciate it more!

Summoner's Paradise by poboy 2024-04-25T15:42:57Z

I got so many cool hats and nipples the game started running at a quarter of a frame per second. This was a blast to play and the cast of summons is the funniest one in this jam!

Orion by Ben Toosey 2024-04-18T15:37:26Z

Very cool idea! My team and I had a similar thing in mind with our game before we decided to change directions, so it's nice to see it realized! I found it confusing at first, thinking the game froze when I clicked the star map button. The stars are kind of too small and not enough pronounced, they still felt like a background element. Maybe if you made them sparkle or shine once the star map button was pressed you could draw player's attention to them. Some sound wouldve also been neat, but I can understand why it's absent, I can see so much work going into this by just one person. Well done!

Orion by Ben Toosey 2024-04-18T22:02:43Z

Our game was originally meant to be an incremental game, similar to cookie clicker, adventure capitalist and many other. The player was "cookie-clicking" the main circle that contained a basic, predefined melody. Each click granted player a currency in form of stars which player would've used to build other circles with faster and more complex melodies by forming constellations around the main circle. We downgraded the idea to a basic rhythm game because it was too difficult to balance properly and frankly because it not that fun to play.

The Summonator by oramun 2024-04-16T19:15:56Z

First of all, the menu is super nicely done! Its not something I commend often in jams, but it got me hyped for the game. The game itself was pretty simple, but enjoyable. Shooting sound effects felt satisfying and the game felt very good to play. Eventually, my index finger started getting sore and I had to drop the game, I wish spiders player summons were a bit more effective to circumvent that. Overall, a nice game, well done!

Vassal by marrs 2024-04-17T15:24:31Z

I loved the vectrex aesthetic and on paper the game seems like a nice spin on the classic asteroids game. However, I could not make much progress, I was very confused about what to do. I found little people at the bottom of the screen, but i could not collect them in any way. The game said I could use a tractor beam with the shoot button, but I couldnt get it to work. Shooting asteroids didn't seem to do anything at all as well. Maybe I am missing something, a couple of instructions would've been cool.

Polymancer by Maxthedoom 2024-04-25T15:08:49Z

The idea of choosing your forms is neat, I wish you could choose forms more than once as you played, I think it would have spiced the game up. I liked the game, it was a nice little power trip, I appreciate the inclusion of archers since they really force you to move and plan your movement. Neato!

Tremblewood by Hawkin 2024-04-18T15:16:38Z

Surprisingly satisfying! I've played a bunch of games this jam with similar premise, but this one was probably the most engaging one so far. It felt very compelling to gather parts and watch my army lay waste upon the entire kingdom. I only wish there was a way to direct the troups, maybe some kind of pebble you could throw, I found myself moving back and forth whenever a new tower popped which couldve been alleviated by range direction. Its an awesome power trip, well done!

Veles Book by Forik 2024-04-16T16:59:14Z

This was a very pleasant experience! Aiming the roots was tough at first, but I got used to it fast. I really liked how levels were laid out and how you eventually loop around at the beginning. The graphics were spot on, very ambitious for 3 day jam and I really enjoyed the slavic aesthetics and theme. The only gripes I have with the game relate to performance, the game ran at like 30 frames per second on my mid range PC. The fire spell was also a bit underwhelming compared to the first two. Overall, a solid game, well done all of you!

Spoonmaster by RumiaObsessed 2024-04-16T19:21:33Z

Pretty simple game that is done quite well. I enjoyed the artstyle and the boss fight at the end was pretty neat. I wish it had more to do with the theme of summoning, but I guess summoning a lot of spoons can count :p Well done!

Life of a skeleton by Pimeko 2024-04-18T16:21:32Z

It is a funny idea, but boy is mrs skelleton naggy! It took me a couple of tries to get through the end of conversation, but I had fun and I chuckled through the entire game. Nicely done!

The Summoner Stone -- LD 55 by Beebster Games 2024-04-17T12:57:26Z

It's a simple game, but a very enjoyable one. The gameplay is super smooth and it's well put together. I only wish there was a line indicating a border player can't cross, I feel like it would make me plan movement easier. Great job and congrats on making it!

Where Have All the Globbletops Gone? by redoplus 2024-04-20T20:42:53Z

Words cannot describe how much I am in love with this game, it feels like a game made for me (and in a span of three days no less!). Please keep making stuff!

Edit: I managed to crash the game at this point, you guys should maybe take a look at that: crash.png

Star to Dust by Chii 2024-04-16T16:45:50Z

This was a very calming and relaxing experience. Sometimes the only thing you need is an empty canvas and a star shaped brush to express how you are feeling. Well done!

STUPID LEGS by danmerey 2024-04-19T23:59:56Z

I loved this. The game was actually hilarious! I don't usually jam with comedy based games on jams, but this one gave me a lot of laughs. Well done!

Part-Time Familiar by MatthewDrake 2024-04-17T15:40:57Z

What I liked about this game right off the bat is the "highlight keywords with a cursor to get a short explanation/reminder of what that keyword represents" feature. It's so cool and practical and I don't see that many games use it. The story itself is very nicely written, the concept is cool and each character has their own dilemma that is engaging (I got the second ending on my playthrough). Kinda bummed that arthur and melindra didnt end up together. I only wish there were a couple of music tracks to amplify the mood of certain scenes, but the game still held up pretty well without any sound. Overall, well done!

Dumb Rock by Answer21 2024-04-16T17:40:37Z

Pacani! Eta klasnaya igrochka! I really enjoyed music in this one, it kicks ass! The art was also really cool, the gameplay was basic, but it did the job! Molodec! U menya ruski plohoi!

Literally me by TPace 2024-04-29T15:30:38Z

I am in love with this. The weirdcore look this game has was an instant hook for me and while at first it seemed daunting to interact with, the amount of freedom the player has is astounding. I only wish the game ran a little bit better, even though one could argue low framerate adds to the experience. Awesome!

INFINIWITCH by drainkid 2024-04-17T13:16:06Z

What an amazing idea! At first I was thrown off of the game since it just throws you into the thick of it, I really wished there was a little cutscene explaining whats going on and what player has to do, but after dying a couple of times I figured it out and I had a blast planning out routes to break the barriers as efficiently as possible. I love the games esoteric aesthetic, both visuals and music pumped me up to dish out some damage, this was a great time!

Undead Survivor by buloz 2024-04-18T16:13:23Z

I love the visuals and the general aesthetic, it got me immediately hooked! The tune playing in the background is also super catchy! The gameplay is very interesting, it's really fun seeing what kind of weird and cool looking monsters i can summon, although controls are a bit unfortunate. It's very hard to move with WASD while also trying to summon a minion by pressing numbers. Switching to numpad helped a bit, although I still had to complete summoning by pressing LMB. My suggestion would be to maybe enable summoning using Spacebar or some other button, it would really make things much smoother. Overall, I still had a great time!

Eldritch Invoker by Nimolas 2024-04-16T17:54:12Z

The concept was super interesting, mixing and matching different elements to create a perfect demon is very enticing. I had fun watching my little baby blast all those ghouls. However, I found UI to be very unintuitive at first. I was very confused by "learn" page, thinking it only provides information on elements, it wouldve been really cool if the options were a bit more highlighted to resemble a button or something like that. Overall, a very decent attempt, I had a good time!

Necrogirl by Constance 2024-04-16T19:09:43Z

The game is neat, but it's a little unbalanced. The archer ladies are super strong and they require only a couple of mana to be summoned. Once I had 3 of them, they started killing everything, even the stuff off screen, I forgot how enemies look like. To be honest, that kind of powertrip was fun and despite not fitting well, the music tune in the game was super nice, it really added to the relaxed vibes I was getting. It was a good time, thank you!

Idea Catcher——Summoning Tools by DrgCandle 2024-04-16T11:52:42Z

What a neat and well designed puzzle game! At first it seemed a bit to easy, but then the world 2 came and it required me to think outside of the box, which I loved! The premise of the game is also extremely relatable for everyone who participated in this jam, sometimes it is really hard to get those ideas to work! Lovely little game, great job! ^^

Summoning Survival by Misoukun 2024-04-16T19:39:49Z

The game was cool, although it took me some time to warm up to it. I got killed as I was reading the tutorial, which gave me a good laugh, but also left a bad first impression. However, when I actually got to play the game, I had a lot of fun. It's a nice take on Vampire Survivors formula and I think they could take your game as an inspiration for one of the new characters in the inevitable upcoming dlcs. I also found enemy screams a lot of funny as well, I really wish you didn't opt out of humor, I'd give it high grade!

NECRO RUSH by helviett 2024-04-16T20:01:38Z

It was really funny seeing my group of zombies beat down rival necromancers, I loved how they jumped them, like they're saying "get 'em", but at the same time I felt really bad when the same stuff happened to me. It was a really great time, great job on making it!

Super Pal Summoner! by Meepster 2024-04-16T11:56:36Z

At first I was very confused about how the game works, but then when it clicked it became a surprisingly fun and addictive puzzle game, a great alternate take of threes/2048! Also, those animals are totes adorbz! Lovely!

Summon & Chill by Flogram 2024-04-18T16:28:50Z

This was a surprisingly chill experience. Not much I could add, other than maybe adding some kind of progression system, making the whole thing stand out more visually and mechanically. Maybe as incantation progresses, the background gets more wobbly or some words get smaller or darker and harder to catch. For what it is though, it's definitely a nice experience under the sea of games where you spill blood both of your enemies and the underlings you summon. Well done!

Infernal Exorcism by Marju 2024-04-18T16:18:14Z

Very spooky vibes and gorgeous artstyle! Lot to enjoy in here. Loved putting the salt on the wound of those ghouls!

Unpetrify by Jawdan 2024-04-18T15:10:16Z

A satisfying little unit management game, it plays well into the theme and seeing things grow and expand is inherently fun. I also love the little sounds that play when each task is complete. The game could use a little tutorial at the start since I was a bit confused about what to do at first, but that didn't deter me from enjoying it either way!

Plaguebringers by zablas 2024-04-18T15:45:02Z

It's oddly satisfying to infest a poor medieval village with hundreds and hundreds of rats and vermin! 1GB download was hefty, but it was worth it in my opinion. Besides some technical hiccups, my only gripe with the game is that the upgrades appear way too often, every two or three seconds. I wish they were less frequent so I could enjoy reining terror upon the village. It was still fun so well done!

Slaymore by Joshua Miller-Pio 2024-04-26T11:39:20Z

Beautiful spritework and cover art! For a first jam game, this is a banger!

ColorMon by FloweryAndy 2024-04-17T13:06:01Z

A pokemon like game is a very fitting concept for the theme of this jam! There is a lot to love here, I especially love the ambition, but I feel like there are a couple of missed opportunities. For example, when you get to choose your colormon, you don't get to see it, which is a shame. The battles also don't yield any sort of rewards from what i've experienced, so it's usually the best to just run after fighting every monster a couple of times. I did like the game overall, it has some really nice tunes and the visual style reminds me of YIIK, which I still think looks awesome. Good job!

Burger Ritual by meylish 2024-04-17T12:53:41Z

Cooking games are my guilty pleasure and this is a good one. As others have noted, there is an issue with cropping on itch version once you go to full screen and it took me a bit of time to figure out how to send the first order, but once I got hang of it I had a great time!

Guitar of the Undead by Expiredcode 2024-04-18T15:30:24Z

I enjoyed the concept, I think this will be a great game if you decide to polish it. As it is now, it's a bit clunky. It's very hard to strike the notes and the summoned skeletons barely do anything at all once summoned. They are also prone to get stuck into the walls. I can see the potential though, I'd suggest you to keep working on it!

FiendFinder.com by 17 confused villains 2024-04-18T20:31:25Z

If only online dating was this wholesome in real life. This was a great experience, one of the best put together games in this jam, well done!

NecroBit by comigor 2024-04-16T19:49:22Z

A cute little take on Vampire Survivors with nice 1-bit aesthetic. The boss fight music was a real bop! I only found the skeleton summon before I stumbled onto boss, I assume there are more summons to be found but I still decided to go head on and with some juking and a bit of time I managed to beat the game. It felt satsifying, so great job!

The wizard penguin by leozero 2024-04-16T12:11:21Z

The concept is super cool, I love the combinations you went with to cast spells, four buttons make for a very frantic experience when you have to cast bunch of spells when enemies get close. The downside of that is that I spent most of my time looking at the combination list instead of the neat little assets you made for the rest of the game, but once i got hang of it, the spellcasting became both second nature, yet confusing enough for me to mix up the spells and get into the frantic and intense situations. Very well done!
