Good game overall, a neat perspective on the theme and puzzle games in general

Good game overall, a neat perspective on the theme and puzzle games in general
I believe this is my favorite entry so far. You did everything in the right way and it turned out great, nice job.
Not bad, but I had a hard time identifying the objective
The game was fun, however the music kind of got annoying.
Very good overall, took a little bit o get the hang of things but once I did it was easy to play for the duration it took to beat it. Good job!
I like this a lot. At first I was skeptical, but once I got the hang of things it was very interesting
I have no idea why, but I actually really love this entry. It's ridiculously simple yet powerful at the same time. Good work.
My only complaint is that it's a tad too easy, though the concept is actually quite interesting and fits the theme well. Nice work!
I like this game quite a lot, its art style definitely brought things together. However, not that it's a necessity, the game wasn't TOO involved with the theme in my honest opinion.
Very polished, with neat concepts and good mechanics.
Oh....Ooooohhhhh.
I hate being the asshole, but the constant "BRRRRRRR" audio killed this game for me.
Not bad man! Unfortunately I`m just biased against platformers, especially with a theme like this. Good job overall.
Good shit my friend. Good shit indeed.
Not bad, though it could be a bit more polished
Glad to hear it TheGreenTie!
Honestly the best way to get away from the enemies is to book it as fast as possible to the nearest dorr without looking around.
Pros:
-Very well done art, everything fits together and really contributes to the atmosphere you were trying to capture.
-Solid Mechanics
Cons:
-The Audio, or specifically your music began to hurt my ears after a while. Not very enjoyable to listen to.
-The game does not a good job of matching the theme
The game is really neat, and the concept is good, however it doesn't relate to the theme very well.
Interesting idea, however I can see that your interpretation of the theme was extremely literal. This helped you create a game but I feel as though it could have been more creative. Good job overall
This is a really high quality game for ludum dare, I'm impressed. Game was fun, played nicely.
Perhaps a bit too simple, but still fun. Overall the game is good but I find it doesn't relate to the theme at all, not that it has to being the jam and all
Very good entry, the controls were really responsive and it was overall fun to play, however lacked a bit of creativity
Fantastic game! It's like frogger inside of FL studio, very well done!
@kp-gamedev Thanks! Congrats on yours as well :)
@anchorlight Thank you for pointing out the SteamVR issue! We've patched the game to remove that plugin, so it shouldn't be an issue anymore.
@thiago-nascimento Nope! Most of the AI is done via Unreal's AI perception system, which we hook into in both c++ and blueprints. All player controls are c++ (with final BPs set up for design configs, like run speed, reload time etc.)
High score: 000183928! Nice game, reminds me of a 2d Grand Turismo/burnout 3. I noticed that the high scores (per car) are saved out even after quitting the game, which is a really nice little piece of polish that you don't often see in a game jam!
Very tight game loop, self contained, easy on the eyes and to play. Very enjoyable! Nice job
Pretty fun! My only criticism is that it seems like whether or not I run into something is completely random, taking the success out of my hands. Despite this it was a lot of fun to rush around and do tasks, and it fit the theme very well. 5/5 for theme!
This is great! Very well executed physics, and the SFX were bang on.
Very solid game loop! Fun to play, graphics are tight. High level of polish, which is rare for LD games!
The 2D artwork/UI stood out a lot! Looks great.
Nice little prototype! I noticed sometimes the speed control would "stick", and it made controlling two trains a little harder. It was fun to try to control both at once though!
The twist on existing bullet hells is subtle, but makes a huge difference! The controls are snappy, the feedback is good, and I had a fun time playing. Great work!
All 5s here. Really great jam game. I got stuck on the wood planks one and ended up stopping there. Nice job!
Nice little endless runner, money is yes.
Great atmosphere! The aesthetic is very cohesive and kept me interested in exploring each piece of the set.
Great work! Very self contained and polished. I was happy with the challenge and it felt like right as it ended, I wouldn't have been able to go any faster or more complex.
#4 in the world! Looks nice and plays nice. Good job :)
Congrats on your first LD!
Mechanically rock solid! I enjoyed the music loop as well, very classic puzzle game.
This game gave me an existential crisis, and I mean that in a good way. Great portrayal of mood! I did find myself directionless near the end, but that's understandable and almost expected of a psychological game within the context of a jam. If this were fleshed out into a full game, I'd buy it!
Nice little game! The art style was simple yet cohesive.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this won first place in at least 1 category. Very well executed, makes me want a full game of this!
Very easy to understand the mechanics! I made it to loop 3 on the first try. Solid controls, and I love that you can pick up old shots from previous loops.
Very innovative and sticks to the theme well! My only gripe is that the rotation controls are a little touchy, making it a tad hard to aim. Otherwise looks and feels great to play.
Graphics, Mood, Audio are all a 5 star for me. Fantastic work on those fronts, everything fit together really well. This feels like a fun switch indie game already. My only gripe is that the physics and placement of it all can sometimes really freak out, and destroy whatever it was that you were working toward.
I think having indicators for the vertical placement of items is a must as well. But overall, very good work! Congrats on your entry!
High score 152 seconds! Interesting and fun concept, if it was expanded upon and given a bit more juice I feel as though this could be a successful little puzzle game. Good work!
Fun, but as a small nitpick: it'd be nice if I could also fire when not aiming down the barrel.
Fun BoI-like game! Honestly you should be proud, not only did this gamejam game have a lot of content, it was done with Godot (which gives less out-of-the-box features to lean on). Great work!
Ah yes, a fellow egg game dev. Fun concept! If you expand on this in the future it would be awesome to see some quality of life features like remembering your previous crate setup, and preventing the player from placing crates on the cannons.
Great job!
Wow, was not expecting this level of abstraction from a jam game. Unstable to say the least. I felt myself continuing to be pulled inward to this game for no reason I can explain. Very well done!
Fun game! At first I was confused as to how it tied in with the theme, but once I got the first ability it all became clear. Cool take on the theme! Also despite what others say about the jump physics, I actually kind of like them. It feels more like a quick ninja-esque character than traditional floaty jumps.
Very cohesive aesthetic! The mechanics played well, everything felt juicy and haptic. I enjoyed the introduction of colour-based rules (in multiple ways) later on which kept things fresh!
Really crisp and juicy gameplay. What's there is very well done, it'd be fun to see this expanded into a larger game!
The world needs more people like pepper guy. Stay chilled bro! Great game, very surprised you got all this in for the game jam. Awesome job!
Crisis averted! The mood for this game is on point, and it was smart to make the door puzzles randomized so that memorizing the level wasn't a possible win strategy. I found that the little side panels that I assume were meant for hiding from the cleaners didn't allow me to slide into them most of the time, which effectively made me ignore them.
Great job! Definitely hit the claustrophobia nail on the head...
Cool game! Took me a couple tries to properly figure out the cycle of things, but once I did it was enjoyable to keep going and see how much money/energy I could make. As a suggestion, it might've been nice to see how long I had to explode outside of the tab menu.
Visuals are very crisp!
Pretty cool! I really like the blueprint-esque 2d artstyle. Congrats on your first jam!
Record beaten. Overall fun game, I liked that the physics were "sticky" in a sense. They weren't necessarily realistic, but I found it enjoyable because it favoured me as the player. Very simple yet well executed concept, nice job. high_score.png
I'm... I'm a murderer...
5/5 across the board for me on this one. Great idea, awesome execution. Especially impressive for a game jam!
Made it to world 2 before realizing how much time I was spending playing this game... Great job! 10/10 for the choice of J A M S
Super weird, super fun. Great job!
@zappablamma Wouldn't consider that cheese! Just smart placement. 16 days is definitely the highest score we've seen yet!
Fun game! Very interesting concept. I was doing super well and was about to complain it was too easy, then promptly got the business hand from a pro tour zombie.
Really awesome game! The gameplay loop was super tight, and easy to get back into a game after losing. I will say that there's definitely a critical point that you reach where it becomes nearly impossible to lose the game. More harsh difficulty scaling over time could fix this for sure.
Lastly, I feel like the audio did an excellent job making things seem echo-y and imminent. Nice work!
Really awesome game. I'm super surprised you were able to finish this in 72 hours. I feel like I could keep playing this for hours!
Fun game! Got to round 5. I enjoyed the attention to detail when it came to having the cannon balls damage the castle only when the speed was high enough (or so it seemed!). Props for using Godot engine. One thing that would've been nice is a more tight endplay loop (where when I lose it tears down the experience and restarts everything nicely).
Happy LD50!
Lots of fun! The graphics are super polished and the driving is really easy to get used to. Loved drifting around. My only complaint is that I'm not sure how this relates to the theme.
Great work!
Really fun game! I kept feeling super confident and bought too many upgrades at once... only for the enemies to absolutely delete me immediately.
Great work!
Really nice art!
Cute art! Felt like a fun thematic take on the classic 2d platformer genre. I liked that fire made little puffs of steam to jump up on, but it would've been nice to see where the clouds would end up without needing to jump into them. Great work!
