LD30 — Connected Worlds

Interplanetary Harvester by Sestren 2014-08-26T00:59:00

Good game overall, a neat perspective on the theme and puzzle games in general

The Trader by TravisChen 2014-08-26T01:08:00

I believe this is my favorite entry so far. You did everything in the right way and it turned out great, nice job.

A Tale of Two Megacities by GAFBlizzard 2014-08-26T02:02:00

Not bad, but I had a hard time identifying the objective

Beacon by ken 2014-08-26T00:51:00

More feedback for the dark areas would be nice, good ideas though, decent execution.

Fire and Ice by foobraco 2014-08-26T00:17:00

The game was fun, however the music kind of got annoying.

Battle Of Solis by Super Hamster 2014-08-27T03:50:00

Very good overall, took a little bit o get the hang of things but once I did it was easy to play for the duration it took to beat it. Good job!

Light of the World by Limyc 2014-08-26T00:44:00

I like this a lot. At first I was skeptical, but once I got the hang of things it was very interesting

To The Stars by Andre Blyth 2014-08-26T00:30:00

I have no idea why, but I actually really love this entry. It's ridiculously simple yet powerful at the same time. Good work.

These Cosmic Chains by ploogle 2014-08-25T07:11:00

My only complaint is that it's a tad too easy, though the concept is actually quite interesting and fits the theme well. Nice work!

Macrocosm by Ossi 2014-08-26T00:15:00

Interesting concept but unfortunately it didn't show in the game. Better luck next time, fellow developer.

Line Crossing by Lissar 2014-08-27T00:09:00

I like this game quite a lot, its art style definitely brought things together. However, not that it's a necessity, the game wasn't TOO involved with the theme in my honest opinion.

Connected Worlds by Jacksack and JordanFitz by JordanFitz 2014-08-26T04:56:00

Very polished, with neat concepts and good mechanics.

State of Mind by Nylonica 2014-08-26T02:28:00

Oh....Ooooohhhhh.

the static speaks my name by idovingx 2014-08-26T00:21:00

I hate being the asshole, but the constant "BRRRRRRR" audio killed this game for me.

Human and Alien by BoskoSokolov 2014-08-25T06:56:00

Not bad man! Unfortunately I`m just biased against platformers, especially with a theme like this. Good job overall.

Fire & Ice by NnelGdaBandit 2014-08-26T00:34:00

Good shit my friend. Good shit indeed.

Hold My Beer by imdigitaljim 2014-08-26T00:39:00

Not bad, though it could be a bit more polished

SHIT RUNNER by Cad 2014-08-25T05:22:00

Glad to hear it TheGreenTie!
Honestly the best way to get away from the enemies is to book it as fast as possible to the nearest dorr without looking around.

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-08-25T07:02:00

Pros:
-Very well done art, everything fits together and really contributes to the atmosphere you were trying to capture.
-Solid Mechanics

Cons:
-The Audio, or specifically your music began to hurt my ears after a while. Not very enjoyable to listen to.
-The game does not a good job of matching the theme

Song of the Dodo by uvwar 2014-08-26T02:23:00

The game is really neat, and the concept is good, however it doesn't relate to the theme very well.

Trading Worlds by Mathieu Muller 2014-08-25T07:28:00

Interesting idea, however I can see that your interpretation of the theme was extremely literal. This helped you create a game but I feel as though it could have been more creative. Good job overall

Hobo Quest by homeworld 2014-08-26T04:52:00

This is a really high quality game for ludum dare, I'm impressed. Game was fun, played nicely.

Starcular by LuisDC 2014-08-26T01:17:00

Neat game, the switching worlds was really neat, much more innovative than other platformers

Enderman Invasion by MacGeekPro 2014-08-26T00:11:00

Perhaps a bit too simple, but still fun. Overall the game is good but I find it doesn't relate to the theme at all, not that it has to being the jam and all

Heroes on Wings of Steel and Fire by mattperrin 2014-08-26T02:33:00

Very good entry, the controls were really responsive and it was overall fun to play, however lacked a bit of creativity

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck in a drum loop by rodobodolfo 2020-10-06T01:14:14Z

Fantastic game! It's like frogger inside of FL studio, very well done!

Round Out by foolmoron 2020-10-07T00:01:21Z

Nice! Simple and fun, an interesting combination of different mechanics. Applies to the theme super well too!

Murder by fingamer 2020-10-06T06:02:37Z

Very cool! The Mood and graphics are great, however I encounter a non-prog bug where I wasn't able to submit my murder weapon/suspect guess. Otherwise looking awesome!

Hooped by jessekaz 2020-10-06T01:05:24Z

Congrats on your submission! Looking good, though the "belt of swords" seems to be missing a texture on my end

Lights Out on Pluto by cad 2020-10-06T01:00:14Z

@kp-gamedev Thanks! Congrats on yours as well :)

Lights Out on Pluto by cad 2020-10-07T17:35:53Z

@anchorlight Thank you for pointing out the SteamVR issue! We've patched the game to remove that plugin, so it shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Lights Out on Pluto by cad 2020-10-07T22:35:56Z

@thiago-nascimento Nope! Most of the AI is done via Unreal's AI perception system, which we hook into in both c++ and blueprints. All player controls are c++ (with final BPs set up for design configs, like run speed, reload time etc.)

Infinite Racer by yopox 2020-10-07T18:13:48Z

High score: 000183928! Nice game, reminds me of a 2d Grand Turismo/burnout 3. I noticed that the high scores (per car) are saved out even after quitting the game, which is a really nice little piece of polish that you don't often see in a game jam!

Until All Ends by WilloXs 2020-10-06T17:38:54Z

Very tight game loop, self contained, easy on the eyes and to play. Very enjoyable! Nice job

Escape. Where? by MrWhimble 2020-10-07T17:53:54Z

Pretty fun! My only criticism is that it seems like whether or not I run into something is completely random, taking the success out of my hands. Despite this it was a lot of fun to rush around and do tasks, and it fit the theme very well. 5/5 for theme!

Trajectory by KaisenTheGreatOne 2020-10-06T20:51:46Z

This is great! Very well executed physics, and the SFX were bang on.

Orbiting Defense by Vimlark 2020-10-06T23:39:05Z

Very solid game loop! Fun to play, graphics are tight. High level of polish, which is rare for LD games!

Need More Space by wheatleyscience 2020-10-06T05:53:47Z

The 2D artwork/UI stood out a lot! Looks great.

Training for Capitalism by scott.redrup 2020-10-06T20:42:10Z

Nice little prototype! I noticed sometimes the speed control would "stick", and it made controlling two trains a little harder. It was fun to try to control both at once though!

Auraboros by nicross 2020-10-06T17:47:24Z

Very innovative idea, the audio was great! I did however find myself somewhat lost sometimes

AUTOLOOP by Kpedatte 2020-10-06T17:54:34Z

Great aesthetic, found myself jiving to the music when I unlocked new tracks. Nice work!

Don't Shoot Yourself by Maxwell3000 2020-10-06T05:49:09Z

The twist on existing bullet hells is subtle, but makes a huge difference! The controls are snappy, the feedback is good, and I had a fun time playing. Great work!

Stuck in a FOR Loop by Thiago Nascimento 2020-10-07T23:17:42Z

All 5s here. Really great jam game. I got stuck on the wood planks one and ended up stopping there. Nice job!

Lööp Runner by Salty Lad 2020-10-06T17:48:06Z

Nice little endless runner, money is yes.

The Time Terrorists by Wilko 2020-10-06T19:07:06Z

Great atmosphere! The aesthetic is very cohesive and kept me interested in exploring each piece of the set.

Devoured by St1ckY 2020-10-06T01:21:36Z

Interesting! I enjoyed the time warp effects when you found each key.

Runaway Railcar by Michael Horst 2020-10-07T18:00:31Z

Great work! Very self contained and polished. I was happy with the challenge and it felt like right as it ended, I wouldn't have been able to go any faster or more complex.

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-06T21:16:43Z

#4 in the world! Looks nice and plays nice. Good job :)

Cyclic by Rodgems 2020-10-07T00:07:15Z

Very wholesome! This was enjoyable to play amongst many mechanic driven jam games, I could chill out and not be over focused on figuring out how to play. Nice music :)

Retro Loop by Minos_L2b 2020-10-06T18:54:21Z

Congrats on your first LD!

Chroma Clones by DarcyTimms 2020-10-06T19:54:54Z

Mechanically rock solid! I enjoyed the music loop as well, very classic puzzle game.

proceed by anchorlight 2020-10-07T18:44:20Z

This game gave me an existential crisis, and I mean that in a good way. Great portrayal of mood! I did find myself directionless near the end, but that's understandable and almost expected of a psychological game within the context of a jam. If this were fleshed out into a full game, I'd buy it!

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-07T16:08:06Z

Nice little game! The art style was simple yet cohesive.

Space Drummer by Guilloteam 2020-10-06T23:09:59Z

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this won first place in at least 1 category. Very well executed, makes me want a full game of this!

LoopHole by PixelMoose Studio 2020-10-06T20:38:04Z

Very easy to understand the mechanics! I made it to loop 3 on the first try. Solid controls, and I love that you can pick up old shots from previous loops.

S.H.I.P.S. by PhindieGames 2020-10-06T20:59:26Z

Very innovative and sticks to the theme well! My only gripe is that the rotation controls are a little touchy, making it a tad hard to aim. Otherwise looks and feels great to play.

LD49 — Unstable

Cosmic Time-Out by nratcliff 2021-10-08T20:57:35Z

Graphics, Mood, Audio are all a 5 star for me. Fantastic work on those fronts, everything fit together really well. This feels like a fun switch indie game already. My only gripe is that the physics and placement of it all can sometimes really freak out, and destroy whatever it was that you were working toward.

I think having indicators for the vertical placement of items is a must as well. But overall, very good work! Congrats on your entry!

Stable Mind. by tomer_cool 2021-10-08T21:02:39Z

High score 152 seconds! Interesting and fun concept, if it was expanded upon and given a bit more juice I feel as though this could be a successful little puzzle game. Good work!

SPLINTER(ED) (BRAIN)CELL by slimabob 2021-10-04T23:02:49Z

Fun, but as a small nitpick: it'd be nice if I could also fire when not aiming down the barrel.

Radi8 M8: A Cherno Bill Story by indegame 2021-10-04T23:35:03Z

Fun BoI-like game! Honestly you should be proud, not only did this gamejam game have a lot of content, it was done with Godot (which gives less out-of-the-box features to lean on). Great work!

Egg Barrage by Prostone 2021-10-04T23:30:59Z

Ah yes, a fellow egg game dev. Fun concept! If you expand on this in the future it would be awesome to see some quality of life features like remembering your previous crate setup, and preventing the player from placing crates on the cannons.

Great job!

Sitter by NoahRo 2021-10-05T04:03:29Z

Based on there being no description, screenshots, or instructions for this game, I am now convinced that a fae trickster has participated in ludum dare. You may not have my name, but you may have my commendation. Well done!

LCD DREAM ESCALATOR by Hydezeke 2021-10-08T21:26:53Z

Wow, was not expecting this level of abstraction from a jam game. Unstable to say the least. I felt myself continuing to be pulled inward to this game for no reason I can explain. Very well done!

Change the world! by PD Dev 2021-10-08T20:46:58Z

Fun game! At first I was confused as to how it tied in with the theme, but once I got the first ability it all became clear. Cool take on the theme! Also despite what others say about the jump physics, I actually kind of like them. It feels more like a quick ninja-esque character than traditional floaty jumps.

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T05:38:46Z

Very cohesive aesthetic! The mechanics played well, everything felt juicy and haptic. I enjoyed the introduction of colour-based rules (in multiple ways) later on which kept things fresh!

Warp Glider by Koolruz 2021-10-05T00:01:42Z

Really crisp and juicy gameplay. What's there is very well done, it'd be fun to see this expanded into a larger game!

Isle Of Pizza by teshimoto 2021-10-04T23:49:21Z

The world needs more people like pepper guy. Stay chilled bro! Great game, very surprised you got all this in for the game jam. Awesome job!

The Probability of Meltdown Is Minimal by DarthBoseiju 2021-10-08T21:14:33Z

Crisis averted! The mood for this game is on point, and it was smart to make the door puzzles randomized so that memorizing the level wasn't a possible win strategy. I found that the little side panels that I assume were meant for hiding from the cleaners didn't allow me to slide into them most of the time, which effectively made me ignore them.

Great job! Definitely hit the claustrophobia nail on the head...

Nuclear Beer Factory by Gr3yKnigh1 2021-10-08T20:37:45Z

Cool game! Took me a couple tries to properly figure out the cycle of things, but once I did it was enjoyable to keep going and see how much money/energy I could make. As a suggestion, it might've been nice to see how long I had to explode outside of the tab menu.

Visuals are very crisp!

Unstable Machine LD49 by albertmixalev 2021-10-04T22:51:44Z

Pretty cool! I really like the blueprint-esque 2d artstyle. Congrats on your first jam!

The ScrapYard by DaniDK 2021-10-08T22:20:40Z

Record beaten. Overall fun game, I liked that the physics were "sticky" in a sense. They weren't necessarily realistic, but I found it enjoyable because it favoured me as the player. Very simple yet well executed concept, nice job. high_score.png

Screen of Death by A-Flat Miner Studios 2022-04-05T19:33:06Z

5/5 across the board for me on this one. Great idea, awesome execution. Especially impressive for a game jam!

STUDY LADY (cookie mix) by PeachTreeOath 2022-04-05T20:04:00Z

Made it to world 2 before realizing how much time I was spending playing this game... Great job! 10/10 for the choice of J A M S

Earworm Jam by ursagames 2022-04-05T20:12:36Z

Super weird, super fun. Great job!

The Beast Within by cad 2022-04-05T20:43:45Z

@zappablamma Wouldn't consider that cheese! Just smart placement. 16 days is definitely the highest score we've seen yet!

Deck And Decay by ThorPalsson 2022-04-05T20:30:36Z

Fun game! Very interesting concept. I was doing super well and was about to complain it was too easy, then promptly got the business hand from a pro tour zombie.

Aster Defense by emrod 2022-04-05T18:50:33Z

Really awesome game! The gameplay loop was super tight, and easy to get back into a game after losing. I will say that there's definitely a critical point that you reach where it becomes nearly impossible to lose the game. More harsh difficulty scaling over time could fix this for sure.

Lastly, I feel like the audio did an excellent job making things seem echo-y and imminent. Nice work!

Settling On Mars by Daniel Whittaker 2022-04-05T19:42:47Z

Really awesome game. I'm super surprised you were able to finish this in 72 hours. I feel like I could keep playing this for hours!

Last Stand by TheMightyTrout 2022-04-05T08:59:05Z

Fun game! Got to round 5. I enjoyed the attention to detail when it came to having the cannon balls damage the castle only when the speed was high enough (or so it seemed!). Props for using Godot engine. One thing that would've been nice is a more tight endplay loop (where when I lose it tears down the experience and restarts everything nicely).

Happy LD50!

ENDURACE - Drift Or Die by Phillip Scott 2022-04-05T19:09:03Z

Lots of fun! The graphics are super polished and the driving is really easy to get used to. Loved drifting around. My only complaint is that I'm not sure how this relates to the theme.

Great work!

It's time to die by ScootalooZamyslona 2022-04-05T20:55:41Z

Really fun game! I kept feeling super confident and bought too many upgrades at once... only for the enemies to absolutely delete me immediately.

Great work!

Winter strikes back! by Biba-sama 2022-04-05T19:18:10Z

Really nice art!

A drop of water by dont work 2022-04-05T19:24:09Z

Cute art! Felt like a fun thematic take on the classic 2d platformer genre. I liked that fire made little puffs of steam to jump up on, but it would've been nice to see where the clouds would end up without needing to jump into them. Great work!
