The game is surprising... it's not really fun but I spent quite some time playing it nonetheless ! It's engaging and sets a very particular mood. I like it :)

The game is surprising... it's not really fun but I spent quite some time playing it nonetheless ! It's engaging and sets a very particular mood. I like it :)
Really cool concept. The art is cool too. But it gets repetetive really quickly. But good job!
very nice actually I've never seen some thing like this before great job :v:
#4 in the world! Looks nice and plays nice. Good job :)
game is quite nice but I wouldn't be against some increasing difficulty as it get quite repetitive over time. The world ranking gives a nice competitive side to the game.
Amazing aesthetic
WOW. I *really* liked the graphics design, one of the best I've yet seen, very good job!
A little repetitive at a certain point but pretty solid gameplay and your aesthetic is fantastic. You really fit the game to the song you posted.
The game looks and sounds fantastic - how did you make this all in three days?
Leaderboard is awesome, it doesn't really have a menu though, and also the gameplay gets dry quickly. But nonetheless, a good game jam game.
Nice game!
That was quite the aesthetic. Big mood! The game looks and sounds great. The only two issues I see is that moving around a corner of the screen is clunky, and I really found no reason to ever stop moving forward. Anyway, I am a sucker for synthwave so I'm probably just going to start listening to Nuclear Winter forever now. Well done!
@diego-escalante thanks! and yeah, I listened to the song for a whole day on repeat too, when I first heard it
the controls are a bit wonky and only being able to run forward is an odd decision. It did bug out on me at some point and I was unable to throw boxes. The visuals and atmosphere were really cool, I loved the vibe. The dudes cape got caught on his head and he looked like he was dressing up as a ghost lolol
great job with the graphics I like the cloth physics
I really enjoyed hitting people with boxes and I loved the atmosphere.
I definitely don't feel like I every really got a good feel for how my attacks worked or why I should ever stop moving when all the enemies are shooting at where I was instead of where I was going. That said, this is one of the most visually stunning games I have ever seen in an LDJAM. Good job.
This is a fascinating entry. I really love the 4th wall break of the 'character on the monitor.' There needs to be some effort put into balancing the game, but aside from that this is a superb entry. Love the high score tracking.
Music - A+
Wow, really good concept and visual
Good graphics (cloth simulation? are you kidding me?), Cool atmosphere + Audio, innovative gameplay, **_NOICE_**
It was fun and the graphics was amazing! Great humor too lol. I got #11. At least im top 11 in the world for something. Im gonna have nightmares about those radio voices
Game looks and feels good. I ran into an issue where I couldn't pick up boxes after a while. Well done overall.
Great mood and audio playing together with it. I thought about Stranger Things for a moment.
Absolutely gorgeous looking game. The atmosphere and music was also top notch. There could have been some more effects to feel more powerful when you push those cubes. Overall really well done!
Realy cool idea! very nice graphics and sound
It was fun seeing the barrage of bullets coming at you as dozens of people shot. I was surprised when I first ran up the side of the screen. The graphics were really nice too.
Number three in the world baybee! I'm putting that on my tombstone. Untitled.png
Looks stunning and ist really fun to play. Good job! First i thought that it was a bug to climb up the window xD Until i realized that it is intended. great. Reminds me of matrix 2d game i used to play :D
Haha amazing (and addictive) game, I love how you deal with the theme :curly_loop: , walking around the screen. The score is a really good idea too. I love especially that the box you throw can touch several soldiers when it bouces !
Cool game, very atmospheric! I would never have thought of such an implementation myself. I wouldn't call this game sex, but it's definitely top! )
Looks very cool ! Nice atmosphere also ! Good job !
Awesome idea! :v:
Great game! Love that there is a highscore table! Loving the mood, and the graphics. The shoot mechanic is also really awesome! The only thing I'd say could use some improvement is the movement mechanic. It's quite annoying to move around the corners, and it feels like im not really that much in control of the character. But other than that, I'd say this is a great success!
Great music, and an incredibly interesting combat mechanic! It would cool to make a full game of this but you can interact with the physics of a whole scene! Impressive entry in regards to the quality of the models as well and multiplayer implementation.
So nice:) Amazing idea!
Haha a super cool idea with the topic, love it !! Good job, it's playable and enjoyable !! Nice idea also about the shared scoring !!
Great concept. Combat system is easy and fun. I think a defense or avoid bullets system is missing. The enemies dancing in the end made me laugh. Great job!
Wow, that was a fun entry! The enemies dancing after defeating you is a nice touch xD. Would be nice to have a little bit more of control of the movement (like going both sides), but overall it was a interesting experience. Well done!
Fun and interesting entry with good visuals!
Great idea :and visuals ) I liked it but for me the audio is too repetitive
Pretty fun, might be better if you could move forward and backwards. The telekenesis and monster dancing after death was hilarious and funny! Good entry. Cheers!
I would have liked A and D or arrow controls to move left and right to dodge fire. To encourage the player to use the sides of the screen, maybe have some hazard that takes over the floor.
Loved the concept of the game :D The slowdown on the edges of the screen didn't feel too good though. Loved that there is an actual online leaderboard and it gives you a sudden boost of eager motivation whenever the "You are now xx'th on the leaderboard" text shows up!
Fascinating entry! (I also loved the enemies dancing, btw!)
It's very adictive, I kept playing until I was on number 10 of the world. The visuals and the music are amazing.
Nice game! Mood and art was very cool! Good job!
What a beautiful game. Beautiful art. Beautiful music. Fun and creative. Really good ! I'm really impressed. I saw that it was mentioned, but maybe an increase difficulty would definitely enhance the game's overall experience ! Good job :)
Nice entry, loved the atmosphere and the background voices of all the enemies! I agree with @trexxak that the slowdown when changing the edge of the screen you're running on is a bit weird, it feels like it's impossible to avoid projectiles while you're there. Also enjoyed a lot the live highscores on the screen, they are a great feedback to keep going!
That was surprisingly fun and addictive I liked it very much. Great Job.
Hilarious take on being stuck in a loop that made me keep wanting to play. I enjoyed the mood a bunch and the physics-based gameplay kept it hectic and fun.
Hey, it was a good simple game, but fun. Hard, too! I'm now 81 in the world, lol. Good job, I felt the turns in the corners were really slow, maybe you could accelerate that. Good job!
Got to 117 points! Some real crazy masters out there wtf 300+ points :D
Many good things to say here - great visuals and sounds, and an engaging gameplay in spite of the repetitiveness. However, the physics around the corners were hard to comprehend, and walking/running as the only movement decisions are a bit limiting (or did I miss something? perhaps I could block bullets with boxes?). I think I also couldn't hide the high scores menu at some point until I restarted.
But I'm saving the best for last: did anyone notice enemies breakdancing after they kill you? xD
Really interesting how you have approached the theme. The mood is chilling :) Good Job!
Very creative game mechanics! Art and models are awesome! Really enjoyed the game. @eldar I had the same question! @eugenik did you create breakdancing animations yourself? They look very realistic. Great job!
@mykola @eldar yes, you can block bullets with boxes. And no, the animations are from mixamo. Thanks!
This game is insanely good! The idea of running around the border made me laugh and play it a few more times.
As was mentioned in the comments, the slowdown on the corners feels a bit unfair, since you cannot run back, you are almost forced to get shot on the corners.
The leaderboards are a great touch. On my last playthrough they didn't show, even though the game told me I was 6th on the world.
Music was great! I felt totally immersed in the game.
The gameplay gets frantic fast, but that isn't a problem. Many bullet hell games get away with it and even market it as a feature.
You could perhaps add a small indicator where the box is going to land, or maybe a trajectory. That would simplify understanding how the box moves when you release it.
I loved playing this, thank you for your submission!
@eugenik, then it would be great if you mention in the description what art is created by you and what art is created by someone else so that people rate only your art.
Great game! I love the graphics, did you model all of this? It looks amazing. I had a lot of fun and I'm happy with my position in #10 haha. The leaderboard idea is a stroke of genius.
I loved the subversion of expectations when walking around the screen. Gameplay was fluid and the game telling you where you are on the leaderboard during the run is a great idea.
Loved the game, congrats! This is the most polished entry I've played yet. Music and aesthetic fits very well together.
The leaderboard is a great idea, would have liked to be able to enter my name in though (or did I miss something?)
Not too bad really! I guess that most of the assets are of some kind of asset set? I don't think it would be possible to create such high detail models and animations alone in three days :P But please correct me if I'm wrong. Still, the way to put everything together worked quite well. The mood was nice with all the blue mist, music and radio transmissions of the enemies. Well done on the sound design part! The game play loop itself was engaging enough for me to try to get into the top ten leaderboard, which I was able to :) A way to input your name would've been nice. I didn't like that there wasn't really a way to avoid damage when traversing the corners. It always takes a while until the character changes gravity and being hit was only really an issue in this particular situation. So it came down to RNG for me, how long I would survive. Maybe there is a better way to avoid damage... The controls were hard to read while being shot at and after figuring out the first inputs, the overlay was already gone. A pause or main menu for the controls would be a better solution (I guess time constraints killed that)
For a single person project, this was still very impressive. The fetching and throwing of the crates was fun! It lacks variation but that's ok for the small scope you worked in. Godd job!
I agree with @duke's comments. The one thing I would add is that the controls did not vibe with me at all. I'm not sure being able to only run forward was a good decision design wise, removes a lot of the player's agenda. Also I wish I could have aimed the boxes properly, maybe targeting the mouse cursor. But overall, good job, there's a lot of good amount of work put in on such a short time, especially including a leaderboard.
Leaderboards is such a good idea, I'm very impressed with the art so impressed that I am in fact very suspicious of the art. If you really did all this in 3 days, how?!?! Teach me! Only suggestion I even have is if you used existing art, you should note it somewhere. Other than that I'm blown away, great job.
Interesting survival game!
Here are my feedback:
_Positive points - Nice character animations - The telekinesis power is really satisfying when throwing the cube - Good sound design - Great graphics
_Negative points - The telekinesis power is often too imprecise for me => Suggestion: I think that if you add an aim cursor, it will improve the precision of the throwing - The cape goes often through the character
Overall: gg for your work!
Great Graphics!
Hey mom im the best at something, no1 in the world! Pretty cool game, graphics are nice and game is suprisingly fun. The character sure is good at throwing boxes considering her clothes are over her face half the time!
@ctpeepee congrats! You really are #1 now, with 373 kills. If you reached that legitimately, then I applaud you.
Quite disturbing and i did not found many fun, but it was an interesting experience, like i was playing, and i was just : continue play ? yeah let's go
This was kinda fun. 63rd place (for now)! I think to improve it would be nice if you weren't a sitting duck when rounding the corners but you definitely fit the theme very well. It definitely felt satisfying to hit the enemies with the boxes. Also the ending was pretty cool. Nice to see my enemies celebrating so heartily! Good job!
11th! I love the idea, great execution looks very good. Ending was hilarious!
It's an interesting interpretation of the theme. Quite frustrating at the beginning. Nice art and atmosphere. The sounds fit perfectly.
The player mechanics is truly amazing.. totally loved that, and gameplay was also good.. Great job 👍👍👍
score.png Top 10 in the world!
Interesting idea. Movement controls are a little weird. I pretty much just ran forward the whole time. I liked running around the screen, that was a neat idea. Picking up and throwing the blocks was neat too. Displaying "You're now number X in the world" was a nice motivator to keep playing and see how high I could rank. I didn't quit mid game, but there wasn't enough there to have me try more than once (once figuring out movement).
Good job!
Neat little game. Graphics and audio are very nice. Game idea is surprising - good use of the theme. Gameplay is a bit weak and repetitive, though - dominant strategy seems to be to always run. Telekenetic throwing and running around the screen is really cool though. Good job!
Great visuals, the running around the screen mechanic is interesting to get used to, but everything feels nice and tactile. Great audio as well. Excellent atmosphere. Great job!
I liked the idea, but the screen walking was a bit of a stretch. The audio was great at the start, but just as the gameplay loop, it gets a bit repetitive over time
The graphics were great tho, and you managed the theme quite well
Considering it was my first go, I was pretty happy to get 12th haha. Very different take on the theme and was fairly enjoyable. The leaderboard aspect is what really makes this one extra fun for me. Audio and visuals were great though if I am to have one gripe it was getting stuck in the corners for a while even while sprinting. Amazing work.
The game was buggy as hell. Sure, some parts seemed even intentional but forcing a full app restart between rounds because the leaderboards gets stuck on the screen for example was not cool. And what even is the point of a leaderboard if everyone there is just "unknown".
Controls had some issues too. Like there was no downside at all for running so you never actually needed the walk. So you just forced your players to keep holding one button down 100% of the time. The picking up boxes was glitching too, quite often it just didn't register from some box positions and had to switch to another one. Binding grab and throw to different buttons was pointless. It was almost like a platformer which would change the jump button after each consecutive jump. And it was especially bad playing on a laptop touchpad where there is no physical right mouse button. Obviously that's my fault too for trying to play games without a proper mouse.
I think this is the best I can do without a mouse at least...

Oh and Mac version indeed did require the following before the actual app wanted to start up: ```` chmod +x Frozen\ Potency\ for\ Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/LD47 ```
The game looked good. The serious gritty graphics didn't quite fit the goofy theme of screen edge walking and silly physics though. And I guess they were just some already existing assets also. And the UI things looked quite sloppy with the default font and so on. The fog was a bit too strong, couldn't even see half of the enemies. The sounds were good too but got kinda out of hand when there was tons on enemies on the screen.
Getting around corners felt like a slog. It was quite often just a coin flip whether or not you're gonna make it or die trying. Didn't seem like there was that much strategy really. Just always keep the run button held and do small steps forward while grabbing the boxes and hurling them towards the enemy masses. The aiming was also hugely affected by RNG too since the boxes bounced around uncontrollably so it was completely up to luck whether the box knock out few guys or none at all.
Anyways, good job!
@antti-haavikko yeah, that's some constructive criticism! and thanks :)
Great atmosphere, thanks for the entry!
Nothing is clear, but it seems interesting)
So weird and quirky that I love it :D Graphics and clothing physics are the best! Congrats!
those enemy dances lol
The gameplay is fun and original, and nice take on the theme! One small change I would make is making it so that the sound of the enemies talking doesn't play so often because once there are a lot of enemies on screen, the sounds can get overwhelming.
+great graphics!
+original idea of running around the screen
-mood seemed to clash with the humor: graphics and music tell me this is a serious game, while the scoreboard and soldiers dancing gangnam style point to a more funny experience.
Nice work!
Interesting game concept!
Really good game! I had a lot of fun just running around the screen and throwing boxes. The overall mood worked really well, but I think adding more variety in the voice lines would be good.
Hey, i'm on the ceiling of my mind.
Interesting idea and graphics are spectacular! Didn't like the slowdown in corners but other than that great job!
Really interesting interpretation of the theme! Great to see such a unique idea and see it implemented well. The soldiers talking over each other got mildly annoying late in the game as there were so many at once. But overall the experience was enjoyable and oddly kept me wanting to play trying to be #1 in the world.
It kinda felt like there was no reason not to just hold W and Shift at all times, and you'd dodge just about everything - so trying to actively dodge or maneuver wasn't really a thing. I really liked that it kept you updated on your ranking as you took guys out - that felt rewarding. The game had a pretty good aesthetic.
You got a nice concept here. Add a few more movement options and enemies (like shotgun, or aiming in front of or behind you).
Highscore definitely kept me playing longer, great idea! Gonna steal that for sure ;)
Cheers!
Amazing animation of the cloak, otherwise simple mechanic that stick to the theme.
I love how the enemies doing dance when the player got killed.
The style and mood is impressive! The physics-based gameplay is quite fun, although the looping movement is slightly strange. When the player is at the corners of the screen, they basically become a static target for a short while.
The global leaderboard is a nice touch.
Quite fun to play and impressive work for a solo project! I really adored the colors. Such a misty, mysterious and moody world. Music fits well to that.
I loved the idea of walking around the screen and the cloak made it even more fun to observe. However, the movement really just came down to holding Shift and W at all times - once I got the hang of the game, I saw really no reason not to just sprint all the time.
I would love some bit of lore about the world at the start. Who am I? Why is the Amalgamate so intent on killing me?
I noticed some quirks/bugs: - My character sometimes just teleported form the middle of the screen to the edge. That was only happening on the lower edge. - Sometimes the character would seem to have some trouble getting over the corners on the screen. - Seems like some global highscores were supposed to be displaying, but they weren't. And clicking on the highscores button did nothing. - I also had no "replay" button or anything like that, so to try again I just had to restart the game. I'm not sure if that's by design (no time to implement such a button) or if I stumbled upon a bug.
Ahaha dat dance when you loose xD
Very creative the mechanics of your game. I think it is something very unique and different among the other games. It is really something very interesting and "out of the box", to be able to walk on the wall and the ceiling. It's also nice to throw the boxes to defeat the enemies while I dodged the shots. The graphics are pleasant as well as the sound. The controls work well, although I had a little trouble "getting the hang of it", and understanding how the game worked. However, I believe that these points did not hinder the experience at all. Good job.
Really nice concept. Loved the aesthetic and the general art direction of the game. Adding the leaderboards was a good move.
Simple but funny game. I loved the mood/colors. The game has some bugs but it looks and sounds great. Good job!
Super moody with the color scheme and audio layers working really well together.
I was very confused at first, and getting shot before the I'd even parsed all the instructional text. So I hit the move key to dodge while I read, but this made it all disappear. I quit and restarted to read, so not really a big deal.
I'm not quite sure if I ever played how I was meant to. I just held down walk+sprint forever, and then left-clicked a box, charged up a powerthrow w/ right click, and then threw it at the guys. I wasn't really sure if I was supposed to also be deflecting their shots or moving in a more complex way, but that strat seemed to work.
It was a little repetitive after a while like that, but it definitely had a very cool mood/vibe and a really unique gameplay.
Very cool looking game and excellent audio. The thrill of seeing watching your score move up the ranks is highly motivating!
They aim like stormtroopers!
Interesting concept, I really dig the fact that you can simply walk on the edges of the screen. I just wish I could walk the other way though.
Nice graphics but repetitive
