LD38 — A Small World

Anger Birb: World by Jezzamon 2017-05-12T02:25:16Z

Heh, this got a few chuckles out of me, with those sounds that the birb makes.

I don't think I could ever hit the pigs even if I tried for a couple hours, it seems random as to where you actually land, but that may just be me being inconsistent with my throws.

All in all a good and interesting concept for a quick game. Well done.

The Seesaw Redemption by Headmade 2017-05-06T09:23:18Z

Nice! I freed the little fur ball :3

I like how you can sort of wallkick jump sometimes, it kinda gives it a vibe of a parkour hamster inside his own ball.

It's a nice concept over all, I'd have enjoyed it more if it was longer. :)

Protolife by icxon 2017-05-04T15:51:00Z

This! This is the game I always wanted when I was a kid and used to play conway's game of life on my old compaq presario computer. I'd spend hours upon hours trying to set up something like this but obviously I could not.

I am obviously biased in my feedback since this is something of a dream come true to me, but everything just seems perfect. Extremely well done!

Carefulzilla by glimaleite 2017-05-01T16:14:57Z

What a fresh concept for a game, I enjoyed the whole idea a lot and I can see much potential for puzzles and different levels. I wish it was longer, it is quite fun!

Moving the feet couldn't be any more intuitive and everything reacts as you would expect. Overall an excellent idea, awesome sense of style and visual harmony, the execution of the game is incredible.

Nicely done!

Self Replicating Bots. Escape From The Known World by liquidmedia 2017-05-14T01:05:52Z

I played this for a little while and did not figure out what the goal or win condition was, all I could do was just run around and jump on these guys heads, also jumping again on their heads put me above the ceiling, which I thought was kinda interesting.

Some more gameplay mechanics would have been great if implemented into it, or at least some interaction between the different colored enemies.

The controls felt great and visually it looks good too, the music with that victorian feel was a nice addition although I don't think it was all that fitting into the mood of the game.

Fish Escape by daviderosa 2017-05-11T06:42:05Z

I killed 10 fishies trying to figure out just how to get pass the part with the seagull. All in all this was an interesting idea and it felt like a quicktime event all the time, some people may like or dislike that.

The music was calm and the sounds were fitting. I would have liked to see some variance, as in different ways to find a way out.

Cluttered Skies by A.W. Apps 2017-05-15T10:26:08Z

Hey, I enjoy the look of this game so much! It is simple and sweet, it really doesn't need that much more.

Into the game mechanics, the concept is solid and not complicated at all, the feel of the game could use a bit of work to have the player feel comfortable, little things such as a slightly faster horizontal speed or allowing the player to control the jump height could make this a few times better. Maybe letting the player push the objects a bit (that could be useful in situations where the player is stuck)

Resetting the game after dying would be nice too, and as Tommy says, some extra elements like an earthquake could really spice things up! The bird is one of those elements and it was definitely nice to see it in action.

I made it only 18m up after several tries btw. Great entry!

Dwarf Planet by minibobbo 2017-05-07T18:54:05Z

I liked the art style and the setup. I must say that I would like for more interaction on behalf of the player other than just "pick this up and place it here marked in the map".

The game crashed on me after I placed both power arrays and the sensors.

Save the Banana ! by adreqi 2017-05-08T22:56:49Z

Well, I did my best. Not bad for 10 hours of development.

I found that the shield animation and the rate of incoming projectiles don't quite synch up and no matter how hard to try to time it, it simply becomes impossible to protect the banana from the damage that is caused by the bullets.

I'd recommend some sort of improved shield mechanics, maybe allow to bring the shield up again before the animation ends so as to not receive unnecesary damage.

Great effort!

Save The Shrinking World by martins 2017-05-04T01:03:48Z

Intriguing concept for a game, I'd like to see it developed further, maybe some more interesting dynamics could be put into place to improve the quality and enjoyability of it.

Hibernaculum by redpanda 2017-05-01T17:35:20Z

Beautiful concept and astounding atmosphere, this is such a relaxing game. Quite different to the rest of the entries I've come across so far, which brings a refreshing view of the theme.

The visual aspect of the game is simple yet gorgeous, I loved it. The music is calm and ties the whole thing together perfectly. The controls take a bit of fiddling around to get the character where you want it to go but work fine still.

All in all an intriguing concept which is well executed. I liked it! :)

Virus Riot by Cliff Lee CL 2017-05-13T20:30:40Z

Great music, controls are simple but precise and tight, gameplay leads to some fun competitiveness.

SFX were a tiny bit too loud compared to the soundtrack. I liked the way you control the characters, it takes a bit to get used to, mostly because sometimes you want to pick up a powerup and you just end up circling around it, maybe a quicker turning speed could help avoiding that.

Art wasn't exceptionally good, but everything is easily distinguishable as to what it is and what it does, which is great.

All in all a pretty solid entry with great mechanics, gameplay and soundtrack. Excellent work!

Satellite Bash by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2017-05-01T04:24:01Z

Woah! This is the first game I review and I am pleasently surprised to find it is this good! The idea of using the satellites as shield/weapon is fresh and well implemented, the controls take a while to get used to but they make complete sense, they are intuitive and on point. Instinct drives the gameplay, which I enjoyed. The only thing I felt was missing was some music to really tie down the action to the atmosphere of the game. All in all a great game and experience! Capture.PNG I made my first 1,000,000 points with all 5 satellites attached. (which kinda felt like godmode, but was fun still)

Giants Must Die! by Coauctor 2017-05-04T16:56:20Z

Haha, such a weird concept, I liked it, the controls felt kinda rough.

Smashing down on the red guys is satisfying though, good job! :)

Run Cola Run by valiap 2017-05-03T19:31:43Z

Nice little game, it was quite hard to get those physics based puzzles right, but they are not bad.

The music choice was a rather interesting one, it certainly gives the game a different atmosphere.

Battleworld by kassanu 2017-05-06T04:33:20Z

This was a nice little game, my best score was 66 seconds. :)

I initially found it hard to synchronize the hit with the enemies since sometimes it would lag the animation and catch me off guard. Later on I found out you can just leave the space bar pressed down while moving and it will keep attacking indefinitely, it actually kind of makes you invincible while you are at it. After letting go of the space bar for that long, it gets stuck that way, I guess it is still playing some leftover commands but it kept attacking until I died.

Since I was running around not being able to cover, I also found out it is much easier to just go around the mages instead of blocking their fireballs. These mechanics could really use some work on them but it still is a nice quick game.

Crates by diVe 2017-05-03T19:50:23Z

Interesting mechanics on the whole border edges, it takes a while to get used to appear on the other side while trying to aim your bullets. I really liked the retro look of the screen.

Deep Down Uranus by AsSoonAsImpossible 2017-05-14T21:34:36Z

Nice to know what drilling Uranus at full power feels like, definitely a fulfilling experience. I feel like a real man now. Heh.

This game is simple, but sweet, and the whole humour take on the theme is great. It made for some fun time with my friend when we played it. The mechanics of it work like they should and it is enjoyable and fun to play.

My only irk was that the obstacles left very little space to maneuver freely, as they are too tightly packed together. Sometimes it was plainly impossible to reach an obstacle free zone from the last one, since they were too far away and came immediately one after the other.

All in all, a great entry with a humourous take on the theme, which I totally dig! Great work!

No Parking by clyde 2017-05-14T21:25:58Z

Boy, was this frustrating; the general concept of the game sounds great but in execution I felt it could have been better addressed, mostly control-wise.

1. The dragging mechanic is good but it felt way too heavy and the player movements add very little to the general movement of the planet, making dodging the meteorites (which move astonishingly fast) pretty much impossible, it is much easier to just place the ship between the asteroids and the planet, defeating the whole purpose of the gameplay. Either slowing down the asteroids or increasing the ship's movement influence over the planet's movement could easily address this.

2. The goal of even the first level (I don't really know if there are more, I could not finish the first one) was not clear, it said to complete an orbit but it doesn't say over what, so I don't know if I have to spin the planet around the other planet that is in view, or spin around the planet I'm dragging, or just hold on until the camera moves all around the sun that barely appears on screen. Being more specific on this could make things less confusing at first.

3. When you die and retry you have to sit down and watch the same cut-scene, every single time. It is a cute little cut-scene and it is sweet since it introduces the concept of the game, but making it skippable or simply not playing it after you've seen it once could reduce the amount of frustration the player faces right after dying seconds into the gameplay. I seriously believe I spent more time watching the same little cut-scene than playing the actual game.

I'm sure those are things that could be easily fixed so that's why I explain in detail how I perceived them, since I'm sure more people will agree with me. This is a good idea for a game and I would love to see an iteration on it where things work better in making it actually enjoyable for the player. This is a good effort.

Water Bear World by Aviland 2017-05-04T02:49:44Z

First of all, this is a beautiful looking game! The sounds are great too!

I had a HARD time getting used to the controls, but once I managed to get them correct, I was able to swim around eating stuff and getting eaten aswell. This is really innovative and it's such an interesting concept. I would love to see it developed further.

Great work! :)

Puchi Pooches by shru 2017-05-04T03:03:46Z

This is a beautiful looking game, the whole theme and animations are wonderfully done, I enjoyed them thoroughly.

As for the gameplay I have to agree with @lennart-jansson in pretty much all the points made, the sense of urgency disappears quickly as you soon find that you can "cheat" into the game, maybe making the collectibles disappear on a timer shorter than you have time to defeat the enemies would change the rhythm a bit.

All in all a great game, I really liked it and seeing some more development of it would be fantastic! Awesome job, well done :)

Retro Rabbit by wtoa 2017-05-18T04:16:31Z

Awesome! My score was a whooping 101827! Not really that high of a highscore, but it was pretty fun to achieve it.

This is a simple concept with very clear and straighforward dynamics, even with no instructions it would only take 2 or 3 playthroughs to nail down the rules of the game. Graphics are completely awesome, the style and animations work incredibly well together.

The music was great and added a lot to the feel of the game.

The only thing I would address at this moment would be the camera, maybe soften the movement a little to have a smoother tracking of the player, so as to make it feel more organic and less robotic-like.

Obviously some extra elements would add immensely to the game, it works fantastically as it is now, but some variety would become welcome later on.

All in all, a great entry. I enjoyed it a lot!

Murder Mitosis by _for_science 2017-05-07T19:13:38Z

Fantastic game, the whole mechanics of it are completely innovative and fun.

The learning curve is kinda hard but not really steep, in a couple of round you get the whole gist of it and from then on it's only fun and competitiveness.

Implementation, controls, effects, visuals, music, UI and pretty much everything is on point. One of my favorites from this Jam, definitely!

Congratulations, great effort!

Planet Bash by killerkun 2017-05-01T16:20:31Z

Thanks so much for the feedback guys!

@glimaleite if you double tap you move faster, the blue bar only shows the amount of bashing you can do and it actually replenishes faster when you are moving faster, I still have to tweak the cooldown time for the doubletap speed though.

Planet Bash by killerkun 2017-05-06T22:46:01Z

Thanks for all the feedback everybody!

@sebasrez and @headmade I figured out how to make it a standalone exe so you don't have to install anything anymore :)

Planet Bash by killerkun 2017-05-19T01:46:38Z

Thanks everybody by your awesome response and insight into my game! I am super thankful!

In the post-jam version of the game I have already addressed stuff like the motion sickness caused by the camera movement and position, I have also added dynamic ramping difficulty, so it gets progressively harder in speed and enemy toughness. Special modes and powerups are being added right now aswell as an improved post death screen that will detail the run with more detail.

@takusan that score is pretty high! Expert mode sounds like something that could be fun to be added into the game.

Monolith by samlo 2017-05-01T17:50:58Z

Awesome! This game feels like a game that someone on an 90's movie would be playing. It feels very energetic and I completely love the look of it, the shader makes for a super interesting aesthetic. I agree with others that it is difficult to tell when you are about to get hit, depth isn't all that clear here.

All in all an excellent entry! :)

Miniverse by sebasrez 2017-05-01T18:55:16Z

Wow, I was surprised with the whole mechanics and art of this game. The pixel art although simple is fantastic and the animations are incredibly well done. I like how the mechanics are placed in such a way that they come naturally and there's practically no learning curve to it.

The music fits the ambiance of the game and the whole game is tied up together in a way that makes it really enjoyable. I wish this was longer so I could develop more the weapons and such.

Overall an amazing game and experience, I loved it! :)

Get To The Rocket by Vaskivo 2017-05-13T21:10:26Z

Nice, I saved 721 people!

I initially thought this was going to be a turn based game, what with all the tiles and movement timer, but it turned out to be live and that really made the sense of urgency in the game increase by a lot!

I would have liked to have a way to stop the transfer of people from tile to tile, effectively dividing the amount of people into two sets, more so when you have lots of them in the same tile; I could have saved more people had I been able to stop mid-transfer because my only escape route to the rocket was destroyed before I could move again.

Great entry to the jam, very innovative and fun!

Down the Rabbit Hole by those-30-ninjas 2017-05-01T16:49:11Z

Incredible puzzle game, I love how the moves are determined by cards and the way you are at a clear disadvantage over the bunnies makes it fun and challenging.

The art and retro look are completely on point! This is over all one of my favorites :)

Shrimp Tank by slash_random 2017-05-04T21:07:30Z

Loved the music, and the theme of the game is interesting. I found weird that you only move and the actions execute by themselves, but it is fun and I would love to see this developed further. :)

Asterorush by Hugues Barlet 2017-05-13T22:30:47Z

Great iteration on Pong along with the Jam theme!

The graphics are super on point, the particles look amazing and the controls feel really good, it does take a while to get used to the mechanics of it, like 95% of my movements lead to self scoring for my first 15 minutes of gameplay. Once I finally got the hang of it (I essentially had to force myself to move opposite of where I wanted to) I managed to win with easy against the AI.

Overall this is a great, well refined and polished entry with tight controls and an interesting gameplay. One of my favorites definitely!

Rolling Celly by Luiz Marcelo L. Costa Junior 2017-05-14T21:07:31Z

Great concept and interesting game mechanics, I like how you don't really control the cell, but the level around it, the design of the cell looks great and is cute aswell.

I found that the shape of the cell did bring a lot of complications with controling and predicting the cell's motion. I sort of felt like the first time I played with an american football ball, and each time I tried to catch it after it bounced it hit me square in the face because of how unpredictable the bouncing is.

The puzzle elements are good and the levels have great design too. But the music was the best element in my opinion, it really stuck with me and I can still hear it playing in my head.

Well done!

Wandering Planet by jlet 2017-05-12T02:36:52Z

Pretty interesting mechanics, kinda reminds me of katamari damacy.

There was a point after growing big enough where two things happened that made this sort of difficult:

1. The background pattern became a nuisance and made it difficult to distinguish the elements of the game. 2. The asteroids became too small and were simply invisible, destroying planets attached to me without me being able to evade them or something.

All in all, I found this game interesting and I think it is a solid entry in the jam, nice job!

A Hard to Control Fox by JLowry 2017-05-04T01:48:54Z

Correctly named game, I don't really know what else to say as it is too short and there's nothing much to comment on.

Sling Ship 🌏 by Quoclon 2017-05-13T20:58:39Z

I can't help but agree with a lot of people here, this game is quite difficult! It doesn't make it any less fun, but I can see how some people might find the difficulty not that appealing.

The general idea for the game mechanics is absolutely great, but I think you could implement the controls and feel of the ship in a better way. I have a few irks with this that could be so easily adressed, they are:

1. You can't tell at all where you are pointing your beam to, so at firt I thought you only tethered to the closest planet by just clicking, but later on I caught on that the mouse position is crucial. This could be fixed with a simple arrow pointing towards your cursor or even having a player sprite with a distinct front always facing to the cursor. 2. You tether to a point on the surface of the planet instead of the center of the planet, this confused me as the rigid feel of the tether felt more appropiate to fixing an orbit on said planet, if you want to attach to a point of the surface maybe some elasticity on the beam would make it feel less jarring. 3. There's no way to know how far you can go beyond a planet to still be able to attach to it, making planning your moves harder. Easy fix would be to draw a faint circle with the player's beam reach.

All in all a great concept at work with good potential for interesting puzzles and game dynamics. Some work on it to polish and reach said potential is needed but is completely achievable. Great work!

tinyArk by knexer 2017-05-12T01:57:51Z

I am really confused as to what to do, I managed to send some cows and lettuce but I don't find any indication of what the hell to do... maybe it is just me being slow but I think this game could use some explanations or tutorial at the beginning.

The art style and the concept are really good!

Parking Zone by Ramlefant 2017-05-12T07:18:22Z

I never knew parking like that could be so difficult!

It took me 4 minutes and 12 seconds to finally manage it, I enjoyed it.

I felt like the brakes were too unforgiving and I managed to fall several times before I nailed down the brakes.

Classical Conditioning Cooperation - [CCC] by AwesomeAlliterationAlliance 2017-05-01T18:17:33Z

Interesting concept, I really dig the art style, it's absolutely bonkers! The puzzle aspect of the game is really well done and it can get really challenging, specially if you are trying to play it with no pauses.

Excellently done!

Tinytown by kitijengames 2017-05-07T18:45:58Z

Simple, short and sweet. The game is indeed harder than it looks, I couldn't keep more than 7 people alive at any time, they do require those steaks fast.

The window size allowed for an easier gameplay since I didn't really have to move much at all to reach the guys or the dinosaur whenever it appeared. Sometimes when clicking on an item, it appeared to not pick it up, I wonder if the hitbox is too small or something else was going on.

All in all, a very quick and short game, but with nice stuff going on for it, like the music, which stuck in my head for a bit after finishing the game. Great effort!

MAXIMUM CLENCH by Hyper Trifle 2017-05-12T07:28:47Z

Wow, this is a great 2-player game, it is short and sweet, the animations and general art direction are soooo juicy!

Controls are tight and the music is energetic and fitting, my only problem with this game are the controls, they are positioned weirdly... I would like an option to set the fist movement to 'Q' and 'E' for the WASD player, and using the number pad for the other player, movement being 8456, and using 7 and 9 for the fist movement.

Other than that, this is just amazing. Great entry! One of my favorites!

Ant Colony Blitz by gread72 2017-05-11T20:49:46Z

I found it hard to determine if the spider was going to go for one of my ants or not, it seemed random as to when the spider did want to attack, and it was not clear which ant it was locked on to.

Some improvements would be nice, maybe something along the lines of planning a route for your ants or adding elements to make the spider not being able to reach you somehow.

World Under Siege by BelowParallel_Ian 2017-05-04T20:53:35Z

I found the spinning speed of the planet to be too slow, either that or the enemy speed is too fast, since sometimes it just doesn't give you enough time to spin around and aim at the incoming enemies. I think there are some things in this game that could be worked on to improve it.

All in all a great effort :)

World Tapper by kahrzdn 2017-05-09T06:44:17Z

I couldn't find out the lose conditions, it kept going even after there were like 40 plagues on earth and more waves kept activating.

I found the zoom in mechanic interesting and maybe it could be implemented better, maybe make it able to move while zooming to follow the enemies since sometimes you zoom in and the enemy goes out of view, so you now have to wait for it to zoom back out again.

All in all, there is some potential but needs lots of polishing.

The Fleas In My Head by cenullum 2017-05-04T20:48:53Z

Wow, such a nice concept, I really really dig the gameboy visual style, I agree with 30 ninjas though, the sky's dithering makes it tough to read the text on top, maybe some outlining would help with that.

Shrinkomancer by LincoN 2017-05-12T01:15:23Z

Nice, this is a really difficult game with a great mechanic that could be developed further to make a great gaming experience.

I really couldn't make it to the second flag as the difficulty just ramped up from the first level to the second one, and the safe zones are waaaaay too restricted in size that it felt like I had to be pixel perfect just to be able to land next to a spike.

Some tweaking on the controls and the collision boxes could make this more enjoyable, the general mechanic of shrinking the world is actually quite good!

ARR World by Simon Rahnasto 2017-05-06T09:08:22Z

This is one awesome game!

The music and visual style are completely incredible, controls are great and the difficulty is on point. I kinda wish there was a way to mark the faction when you are dominating them.

I found an exploit very early into the game while fiddling around. In the store, when you change the ammount of materials to the right it substracts 3 gold, but when you change it to the left it adds 5, so I effectively had access to as much gold as I wanted at the start, I could buy 100 buccaneers at the beginning if I wanted to.

Pantheon Putt Putt by Luke Brown 2017-05-12T08:04:04Z

Nice, I enjoyed the banter going on with the gods and that song is pretty darn good.

Control and responsiveness-wise, everything worked as it should. Audio effects were well placed and camera transitions were fine too.

I wish there was a way to see the level just to plan my moves ahead, instead of having to try and remember what the level looked like in the next playthrough.

Everything other than that was great, some polishing could be had obviously, but it is a pretty solid entry to the jam, good job!

Terraformit by SwampHen 2017-05-01T20:00:51Z

Nice little game, the mechanic is simple and the gameplay is challenging. It takes a bit to get used to shooting straight to the planet instead of outwards, but it is fun nontheless.

Great work! :)

Space Donut by OliverPaulson 2017-05-09T01:30:28Z

I tried for far longer than I should have to defeat the last guys, but the game at that stage was just impossible to win.

Nice concept, I liked the small simple pixel art and the concept overall. Definitely could use some difficulty balancing and extra stuff to add to the gameplay.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Hairy Barbary by Sheepolution 2017-12-10T10:17:21Z

Saw this one on a stream and dang, is it fun an unique! Really sets up its own atmosphere and the whole world is set up really quick, I loved the quirkyness and the whole humoristic take on the theme.

Gameplay-wise the game is simple but feels great and the only thing I found lacking was more variety, but I understand that due to time constraints that couldn't be achieved.

All in all, this is a game I'd love to see a post-jam version of, if you do please let us know to have another go at it and have some fun with this hairy protagonist!

Hunt Together by Gao Ming 2017-12-08T19:52:25Z

Fantastic entry and great take on the theme, while I have already seen several play-against-your-ghost entries this jam, this is definitely one of the best executed ones, from the graphics to the gameplay itself. I wish I could try the multiplayer version cause I bet it is even more fun with more players. I really really loved it, great work!

Babies with Guns by killerkun 2017-12-06T09:56:11Z

@hakunamacouta I will keep that keyboard layout in mind for future updates and other games, I didn't even think of that! thanks for the input!

Hyper diapers by Gaziter 2017-12-08T21:16:49Z

Interesting idea with an excellent execution, I really dig the general feel and look of the game, quite polished and unique. I had a good laugh every time I discovered a new hazard for the babies and boy does it get difficult the further you progress. (I love how you came out with the baby theme, I too made a game about babies and dangerous things for my entry to the jam https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/babies-with-guns ) All in all a great entry, one of my favorites so far!

Re:Tileation by Akusan 2017-12-08T20:07:30Z

I enjoyed the general idea of the game, something that really bugged me was the noticeable lag in the mouse pointer, it made it really difficult for me to aim correctly at the enemies, even more so while jumping, since it seems like the direction of fire was locked midair if I stopped moving the cursor. Anything other than that the experience is really enjoyable, and I dig the music a lot! You did a great work on this, keep it up!

CTRL FRK by slovnoslomo 2017-12-05T14:21:58Z

Pretty interesting mechanics and overall the idea is great in my opinion, it does get hard and you need a lot of concentration to synch all your coworkers to get to the project. I really really liked it!

The visual aesthetic is lovely and calm, I find it relaxing and it does set up a mood of its own. Great work all in all!

The Carrier by Pixel Shade 2017-12-09T22:40:14Z

This is an incredible entry, I saw it being played on twitch and definitely had to try it out for myself, the controls are what you expect from a lander game, but the added weight dynamic does make it really interesting.

Definitely addictive and super polished. My highest score was 3122, which obviously I could have done better if I had more time to play it. Really good job on this, I'm impressed!

The Carrier by Pixel Shade 2017-12-09T22:57:08Z

@pixel-shade please let me know when it's out!

Runner's Time by Nebulous 2017-12-08T21:20:57Z

A shame the link is still not fixed, I wanted to have a look at the game, it does look interesting from the screenshot image.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck In Paris by CocaPasteque 2020-10-25T07:15:50Z

I really enjoyed the aesthetics of this game, I feel like the controls could be just a bit tighter, mostly because whenever I released any direction I had input on it it would kickback just a tiny bit and made it harder to fit along the lanes at times. Other than that I enjoyed this entry a lot, good job guys!

con-junc-tion by gentoogames 2020-10-08T02:02:25Z

I cannot begin to comprehend how you guys made this on gamemaker, but damn did you do a wonderful job with it! The idea is fantastic and all I can say is that I need more levels :P

Rad Boar Rewind by alexrose 2020-10-08T02:49:07Z

You guys nailed it with this game! It took me a bit to get the complete hang of the core mechanics, but once I did, I felt compelled by the excellent soundtrack to try and get out of there as soon as possible. A total blast!

DEATH STRING by miziziziz 2020-10-16T09:08:19Z

Such a fantastic entry and what a way to turn the theme into a game mechanic! I really really enjoyed it and I wish it was longer. I ran into an issue where the screenshake just kept on adding into itself and when damaging several enemies at once, the camera went absolutely nuts and out of the level for a few seconds, but that's the only bad thing about it. Awesome work!

Hyper Loop Runner by jd557 2020-10-14T05:39:45Z

I like the concept, the controls were hella hard to adjust to, though. I really really liked the music, very fitting to the theme of the game.

Stuck in a Loop (station) by erikiene 2020-10-19T08:57:38Z

Wow, I got stuck for so long but finally figured it out, the fourth room was the most challenging as I really went wild and tried anything and everything until I found what the relation between some of the colors on the board were supposed to be, I thought it would include all of them but in the end only two were the important ones.

Aristotel: The Cycle of Energy by victorcrafty 2020-10-14T08:01:15Z

Great game concept, I sort of felt like the ally robots were a bit too OP, i pretty much sat down and won at the end since they did such a great job. All in all I liked it, wish it was a bit better balanced and that the aim didn't get stuck while firing.

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-26T14:11:20Z

What an incredible concept! The way you handled the mechanic of the game and the theme was incredible, I wish this was longer. I would definitely like a post-jam version of this game! :)

Vanishing Woods by cdunham 2020-10-15T08:55:05Z

I would have loved a bit more polish on it, it wasn't the most comfortable shooter experience I've had, things like the lack of kickback on the guns or no visual indication of the damage you're dealing on the zombies made it feel like I wasn't achieving anything. Still the concept was cool, keep on trucking, man.

Loop Frogs by GaryS 2020-10-19T08:14:58Z

I absolutely loved the characters, and the mechanic that makes your frogs have to ride one another while having different capabilities was fantastic. I would love to see more leves with these guys!

Defuse in under 5 by Darylsteak 2020-10-19T09:11:40Z

Fantastic puzzle mixed with fast reflexes! You really have to think fast when you start the levels. I managed to get a highscore of 5,600 :)

Degrimer by Beebo Studios 2020-10-19T08:23:18Z

I like the character! I had a bit of a hard time following what was actually happening and I didn't even see the boss for what felt like a couple of minutes. Really interesting concept :)

Home Sweet Home by mediyaz 2020-10-15T09:00:40Z

The browser version was slow as a snail, but I liked the theme and the music is kind of getting stuck in my head. Nice little experience this was :3

Jazz It Up by Elyaradine 2020-10-14T07:51:08Z

This was a brand new idea and while I don't get exactly how this is trapped in a loop, I loved the execution. you guys did a fantastic job with it and I would love to see more of this in the future. The only thing I wished is it didn't snap my inputs to the beat, or at least an option to turn it off.

Too Hot to Handle by TheMoonrise 2020-10-08T02:36:51Z

This entry was very interesting, the concept is something that I did really not think about, where the loop was part of the game but out of each player control. While I loved the idea of it, I wish it was a bit easier to start to get into since I got lost really quick. All in all a nice game with a cool concept, I just wish there was a tutorial, haha!

Plasma by Hakro 2020-10-15T09:11:13Z

My highest score was 6,200 points, I don't really know if it was any good to be honest. I loved the little animation on your astronauts, they were really cute.

Hiccup Time by Somogy 2020-10-26T14:05:08Z

I really enjoyed the concept but it took me a bit to get the hang of the hiccup mechanic, it was pretty neat though! I wish I could get some sort of control over the hiccups but as the hiccups in real life there is no way to control them, haha!

Hamster Simulator by snowinn 2020-10-26T14:21:18Z

This game initially made me chuckle at the pure concept of it, but what really got me into it, was the music. Pretty interesting concept I'd say. Good job :)

Pillars of Anguish by Outfrost 2020-10-25T07:02:37Z

That one ramp jump, man! I really enjoyed this, I love puzzles that involve skill as well. I would love to see more levels and I will be waiting to see that post-jam version. Keep it up guys! :)

Divine Drifter by Enzar17 2020-10-06T01:27:31Z

Quite the atmosphere and quality finish, I loved the soundtrack and voice acting! The whole aesthetic is on point, pretty glad to have this being my first game to review. You guys nailed it!

Aboard by Chris Mulholland 2020-10-16T08:02:45Z

Very neat puzzle game, I wish there was a longer variety of puzzles though. I also did not expect the way it ends but it was a nice surprise. Great job!

Hangin' Around by Nocity 2020-10-08T02:05:42Z

Loved the artstyle and the whole Warioware vibe. I need more minigames for it!

TIME TO DANCE! by Savvy Community 2020-10-16T07:53:08Z

great concept, it really does start to get hard by the latter loops. Overall an interesting experience, the art and music were very polished which I enjoyed a lot. Great job!

Lupe by Nachodlv 2020-10-14T08:18:36Z

This is a really interesting concept, I really like the idea of unconventional controls but I felt them a bit on the unforgiving side, specially while on the floor. The audio was fantastic and the story as well, well done!

Particle Accelerator by Koolruz 2020-10-08T02:29:56Z

This was such a nice surprise, I had a little bit of a hard time with some rooms but damn was it rewarding when I actually cleared them, The whole aesthetic and the theme went hand in hand and I don't really have any other pointers other than what I said on stream. Great game!

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-26T13:55:58Z

Interesting concept, I really dig the fact that you can simply walk on the edges of the screen. I just wish I could walk the other way though.

O O O by RexTGun 2020-10-08T02:38:56Z

I really really tried to get to the last level but I just couldn't get good enough, haha I love the idea of controlling both players, and it was way more challenging than it seems at first sight

Just Another Day by Chaoseiro 2020-10-15T08:45:22Z

This was an excellent take on the theme overall, it did take me a while to figure out the alternate paths I could take while solving the daily tasks. I'm giving you high marks for it since you did a great job, but mostly because you can pet the dog! <3

ENDLESS DUNGEON by Sikatrix 2020-10-14T08:50:40Z

Sadly I was not able to play this given my keyboard layout, the idea seems neat though. One thing I was not really able to do was rising the pikes, I don't know what was with it.

Bjorn to Dance by Tomh 2020-10-19T09:21:04Z

I really liked the character, the sound whenever I pressed the keys felt with sort of a delay and pressing the inputs at the rate I was making them made me feel a bit like I was doing them wrong and that sort of tripped me later on onto making mistakes. All in all a nice simon says entry, good job! :)

Mines of Movania by Demure 2020-10-08T02:33:03Z

Simply one of my favorite entries for the jam, I really really enjoyed playing it and I am already craving more levels! I'd definitely pay good money for an after jam version of this <3

Cycle Breakdown by TheJohnyFeeD 2020-10-08T02:34:42Z

Playing this was a blast! I loved that you really really need to be on your toes when entering each new room, and the boss fight was neat as well. The art is fantastic and I can already imagine what it would look like if you had had more time to tackle the art.

Stages of Life LD47 Submission by Joshua Steward 2020-10-14T08:44:39Z

I wish I knew what was going on, it wasn't super clear what I had to do or where I needed to go, but the concept was really cool. I enjoyed the fact that you can cry even as an adult, haha!

That Dream Again by Bokonon 2020-10-10T04:02:13Z

This was an interesting take on the theme, I had some difficulties at first but I eventually got the hang of it... sort of. I enjoyed a lot the aesthetic and general vibe of it, I just wish I didn't got stuck and found out how it ends. Great work!

Hellscape by kp_gamedev 2020-10-06T02:27:34Z

Pretty cool, it's nice to see rather big teams collaborating like this. I enjoyed the overall vibe although I found it just a taaaaad bit stiff on the controls. You guys are doing a great job!

Loop's Way by Linetaru 2020-10-08T02:04:32Z

This really took me back to when I was going hard at Portal, I think you got the hang of the jam theme and nailed it. Only a few pointers that I would like to add are related to the controls of the camera and jumping, which I know you've already heard in a few streams so I won't repeat them here. Great job!

Catnap by CondeSluck 2020-10-08T01:59:21Z

First of all, I absolutely love the artstyle and character design, kudos to your artist. Now, I felt the jump physics were a bit on the heavy side, and it was a bit harder than I'm used to to land some jumps, if that were to be fixed, I think the exploring would have been more enjoyable. Other than that, I felt that the idea was very refreshing and I would have loved to explore it a bit further.

Slime Panic by AlariannGames 2020-10-08T02:31:43Z

Gotta dig the mouse wizard! I already said it on stream but here it goes againm I enjoyed playing it when I got into the rhythm of it, but the very start and the later speeds that you get into are quite hard to get in tune with, a bit of balance would be nice.

SORO BORO by nethead 2020-10-16T09:26:31Z

Excellent work on this, you definitely nailed it with the art and the theme overall, I guess most people have already said this but an option to switch control schemes would have been nice. Great work!

Aztec Ride by Idan Rooze 2020-10-14T08:30:28Z

While really simple, this is one of the best games that I've tried so far, you guys did an excellent job with it. I only wish there were more levels to it.

Please Just Leave by Noam Blei 2020-10-08T02:39:50Z

I loved the dialogue and animation of the character, this was such a nice experience :3
