It was fun and a novel idea, I thought it was funny. The gameplay got repetitive, but I understand - my game is repetitive as well because of the time constraint
I couldn’t figure out how to move, RMB did nothing, I was able to plant a bunch of stuff and attack in place but nothing else. I really liked the artwork and music though :)

I would suggest increasing the speed of the enemies, they all move very slowly

Yeah sorry guys for not including a way to restart, I got pushed to the last minute to submit this game and I would’ve included a way if I had a little bit more time. I think that would be against the rules to change it now though.
This game was really funny and cute. I love the concept of spinning in a rolly chair as a dog (anything with dogs will get 5 stars) and defending against massive squirrel, pidgeon, etc. bodybuilders. Like oh my gosh they really have never skipped a day. Love the art, music, idea all great.
Very fun and addictive game! I love the artstyle and the scream at the start was unexpected and hilarious. The music really helped set the mood as a creepy nightmare and I loved it all around. I also made a game with a hamster, but in mine you are leveling up the hamster as he runs on a wheel !
The game is very good and fun to play, however I would suggest trying to make a game around the theme next time rather than using a bunch of stuff from your old game and making a sequel. You can do that at any point, but the point of a game jam is to challenge yourself to make a game from scratch based on the constraint of the theme. I love the reference to Electric Boogaloo and I think you've improved a lot.

This was a really cute story, and while you didn’t do the graphics category, I do really like the graphics and think it adds to the overall mood. I like the theme of being stuck in like a groundhog situation. For some constructive criticism, I don’t think you should hear the wave sounds inside the cabins and etc. Nice work!
5 star for innovation this game rocked (pun intended). I love seeing games that go out of the box with the theme like this one, and avoiding the beats as they come at you, getting progressively harder, was so cool. All the sandbox features was also a nice addition. Great job!
This game was terrifying. I love all the twists, jump scares, and how where the bedroom should be turns into a loop. Truly amazing game, the sound effects and art were also so great.

This was pretty cool and fun ! I found myself more trying to use the loop as a whip against the enemies rather than getting them stuck in the loop, but that’s make it interesting that there’s multiple strategies to try out. It was a nice difficulty curve with a variety of enemies and a cool end boss. On webgl, the last boss wasn’t playing any music, but I don’t know if you had that problem or if it was intentional, but it could’ve used a cool boss fight song.

I like this concept a lot of you taking control of building the dungeon to protect against heroes. However, I wish there was a better tutorial or something in the game, because I couldn’t figure out how to place things that aren’t walls and the heroes would just walk right past them. I like the pixel art graphics and the general feel is pretty spooky. Nice job !

Very creative idea and nicely executed. I found it very addictive to keep playing to try and get a higher score to pop balloons next time. I found it a bit difficult to get back to the top once you went to the bottom or gaining speed after losing it, but part of the game is just figuring out how to best do that. Nice job!

This is a really cool and unique idea! I like how the main goal is to just be healing your friends, but I think you should have a resurrect function or a really weak attack because if all of your friend attackers die, you just have to kill yourself and try again. I liked the pixel art and animations, a very nice concept and execution.
This is really fun ! I love the art and I like the take on theme being hamsters trying to get to the hamster wheel (loop) by going through loops. The duality of the hamsters made for some interesting puzzles. Nice job!
Wow that was really fun to play ! I think it was a little easy but it was still fun to just grind through the dungeon taking risks and defeating goblins. The idea of having the player go do it while you stay in the place with the shopkeepers was also a unique and creative idea. It could use a better inventory system so you can see which items you have and what they do, but great job!

This is one of the most creative and fun games I have played so far. It’s funny that the knight is killing enemies by hula hooping, but also a really creative take on the theme. I also like the graphics and music, it’s just a fun game.
This game was AWESOME ! I loved the unique premise on the snake trying to escape his never ending gameplay loop, and escaping to new levels is a really creative take on the theme. I loved the explosions when you die, the music change to really set the mood, and the puzzles where you had to use the snake’s body to open doors or gain new abilities like reversing around. The game looked really nice and polished, well done !

Wow this game is very polished and the movement was pretty cool and nice. I would work a little on the camera being extra sensitive to movement as well as the mouse senstivity moving the camera a lot. It was kind of hard to control and sometimes the camera would be spinning around. Nice job!
The concept is strong and I like the innovative take on the theme. It was hard to get the hang of how to play the game (include a tutorial next time) and I don’t think I moved everytime I tried to move with the arrow keys while the move action was available. Also, you should make there be a restart button so I don’t have to reload the page everytime. Nice job!

I love this game ! It reminds me of chronolooper which was also very fun, but I like how in this one, it’s two different frogs that you switch between. The art is cool and that sound effects were pretty funny. I think I found a bug where the green will loop as the green +orange one while the orange one stays still (2 orange ones), but it wasn’t gamebreaking. Very fun game dude, great job.

I love the spooky atmosphere of this game! The text reads a bit slow for me, so I would like an option to speed it up. The pixel art is awesome. If I were you, I wouldn’t bash you game saying “it’s not fun” in the description; you can say you wanted to add puzzles, but leave it up to the players to decide if they like the game or not. This is an awesome concept ! It's fast paced, it's very replayable because you can change the time, and it was fun figuring out the level at first. If you had more time, it would be cool to see more levels.

Wow this game is awesome! I knew there were different endings but I didn’t expect to get MURDERED in this peaceful little game. You can never see what’s going to happen next and it’s a great puzzle I spent a while beating (I did it in 11 days !).I love the pixel art as well, it’s a really cool game.

Overall very fun! I liked the mood set by this wacky game of becoming a brood mother. I would’ve included more of a tutorial at the beginning about what you can eat and birthing monsters to fight for you, but overall great job !
This is a really unique idea and it was really fun! It was a little hard to get used to, but I had fun in the process just duplicating myself ! I think occasionally loops would be created that I didn’t intend so instead of having all control schemes active at once it would’ve been nice to be able to switch between them. Also, spacebar is popular for jump but it would be nice for people like me who prefer the up key as an option.
I was playing the web version and I like the music and the graphics, but whenever I tried to play the inventory blocked the bottom half of the screen so I couldn’t see anything down there. Let me know if you fix this but I liked the music and pixel art!

This is a really novel idea and I like the uniqueness of creating an endless shooter without visual feedback. I would however make sure the player knows that game is meant to be played in total darkness, because I was very confused until I read some of the comments and understood what ‘audio game’ meant. The highest score I got was 598, clearly not as good as the master, you. 😂

Hey my game is just like this one! I would say yours has best graphics, but my goes more on the them of showing all the stats at once and using an animated hamster over a real world gif. Check it out if you get the chance!
This game was a blast to play! The music sets a nice mood despite being in hell (lol), and the pixel art is beautifully done. The gameplay was fun trying to kill the monster and save the sheep, and the boss fights were cool. A very in depth game for just 72 hours! I would’ve made the levels more circular (still can have some variation but the general shape is circular) to go with the theme of circles of hell, and the player being stuck in a loop.
Very nice game! I’m glad that you also tested it for Mac and provided the terminal tip for downloading it. By doing this, you can increase the number of people who can play so great job. The gameplay loop was solid and it was fun to wall jump around, try and slide and crouch jump high to get through the maze fast, and go for a faster time each time.
@instanttrain The reason for endurance is that it’s still a penalty in having to wait for the hamster to slow down all the way and wait 2 seconds, not to mention the faster you go, the quicker your endurance is depleted so to get to really fast speeds, you have to upgrade endurance eventually (unless you’re just a button mashing god ;) ). I’m glad you liked it and I hope you port your game to mac or web so I can play it !
@kassie-kitsune yeah that is a good idea, i found myself mashing with one hand and trying to navigate to the upgrade panel with the other on the mouse so maybe hotkeys or something

@codehacher123 I wanted to add a tournament mode where you could fight other hamsters in battles of speed, acceleration, and endurance but that was out of the scope for the timeframe. The leveling system also isn’t as addictive to all. Thanks for the feedback !
@thevideogamester Thanks for your feedback! If I were to update it, I would definitely add a way to upgrade without opening up the menu as it does stop you from playing to open up the menu. You are right.
@skiwee if you upgrade duration enough you could get a to a certain speed and then leave it on idle for a while 😂. But yeah that would be a cool route I could take

@dotsquare yeah my friend took a video of his hamster running on sunday and I took keyframes from it, cropped it, converted it to 128 x 128 pixels, converted it a gif, and then opened the files in pyxel edit and made the hamster animation over it. @rhoff95 what browser did you use to play it? It shows the speed on the right side and if you press the right key, you will go faster. The gameplay hook is as you go faster, the hamster will level up and you can see how upgraded the abilities are once you level up and see the various traits such as acceleration. The animation starts out really slow, but you’ve got to smash that right key and it will go faster, even really fast.

@tamail what level did you make it to? the problem i’m seeing is that the hamster speeding up or slowing down isn’t as clear during the earlier levels with the low acceleration and speeds, which may add to the confusion people are having. I know I could’ve added more visual effects, but the hamster clearly does speed up and slow down if you upgrade them enough.

The game can theoretically run in the background if you get your endurance really high and then get it up to a max speed and let it run at the speed for a while (but like you said pretty slow compared to upgrading acceleration or max speed). I like your ideas for new features or making it more like an idle game. I agree with the controls being kind of awkward but I would rather stick with the right key being accelerate and having keyboard shortcuts for the upgrades. It makes it more different than just another clicker game. As you pointed out, the colors look horrible everywhere except for the hamster gif. This was definitely a case of don’t put too much work on the last day. Thanks again !

@dcrdro The final goal isn’t set in stone because the game goes on forever, so you can decide based on what you upgrade if you want to try and become the fastest hamster, or run as long as you can without stopping, or run the longest total distance, etc. Thanks for the suggested improvements, the UI and graphical feedback could definitely use some work

I love the mini hamsters in yours! The art reminds me of duck life and I love that game. I really liked the gameplay as well it had a lot of different aspects to it and I liked the idea of a bunch of hamsters teaming up in a mech. It was hard to shoot effectively but it fitted with the loops theme. Also, if you use webgl, you don’t have to select a fullscreen button on itch.io, it already has one.
It’s cool to see an educational game because there aren’t too many of those. Although, unless you just guess, you do have to know the best ways to defeat the bosses. I like the music and the graphics reminded me of stickman games. Great job!

This has got to be one of the most creative submissions I’ve seen. It’s got good music and a good mood, cute characters, and a mechanic of finding the human submission that is looping against AI is really cool. I don’t have any suggestions to improve it, it’s awesome.

This is a really cool and creative game ! There’s another game I played that has this looping shadow mechanic but this is also completely different in how you can blow up the shadows. It adds a level of cool interactions that you can do. You can also just machine gun down enemies, which is pretty sick. Nice job!

I had really fun playing this unique game with the creative idea of stacking fruit loops to use a ladder. The graphics are cute. The music is a bit loud and can get annoying, so I would offer a mute button somewhere. Great job!
This game was really fun! It was totally a rage inducing game, as you try and race through the same level over and over getting barely cut off each time. The momentum aspect is hard to get used to but that’s what adds to the challenge! It would be nice if you could add some music next time to enhance the mood
This was a cute game, I loved the animation and pixel art of the main character, alongside the BOPPING music. Next time I would suggest making a game more around the theme though, as this doesn't really do anything with it except looping to replay it.
Really nice dungeon crawling game! I though that the melee range was pretty small, but you could say that just adds to the challenge. I enjoyed exploring all the rooms, finding the secret rooms, and fighting the wizard. Good graphics, solid music for a gam jam game, nice job!

I really liked this mini boss fight ! It was a bit hard for me to dodge his attacks and shoot since you had to roll like 3 times to not get hit, but I really enjoyed the idea of the boss or the player getting stronger from landing attacks. Nice job ~

Great job ! I love the 3d hamster model doing flips over the ledges and trying to get it to go “hyper velocity”. It feel a bit like Subway Surfer in a way and the music is awesome. Also, I made a 2d hamster game about going as fast as you can in a hamster wheel too 😂!
I really love this game ! I've seen multiple other games with the looping players movements characters (which I still think a creative mechanic) but they were mostly to solve platformers. A game where every time I die, the previous version of me joins in the fight against the enemies ? That's awesome! It was quite difficult dying after a single hit, but it added to the fun because soon there were an army of player characters fighting 😂. Great job!

I really like the idea and the execution of it is great! The music is bumping and it’s a great take on a bullet-hell style game. It gets pretty tough to avoid all of them once the song gets going ! Nice job.

I like this idea a lot, it reminds me of a rage game where you finally get over the hill and then the boulder starts rolling down again and you have to go all the way down again to get it back. I also love the death sound and how it leaves your body wherever you died, I didn’t realize I could even die from throw my boulder on top of myself oops. I would suggest that next time you have a key for grabbing onto the boulder, because using both wasd (you could just make W jump as well), space, and the mouse was kinda awkward.
Nice twist on the Tower Defense genre! The music as well really helps set the mood and I enjoyed the pixel art graphics. The descriptions for the towers are the best part though 😂

It’s taking a while for me to load it, so maybe you could optimize it more. I REALLY LIKED THE GAMEPLAY THOUGH! It was fun, had a lot of replay-ability, and a good level of difficulty. I like how it stuck with the theme of stuck in a loop without being repetitive, as there are different weapons and levels

The gameplay is fun, however, the person will often get stuck trying to jump next to a ledge and the dash is kinda wonky. Nice job overall, but next time I would suggest try thinking of something that uses a theme in a unique way rather than a game that uses a normal game loop and so you are technically ‘stuck in a loop’.
This was really fun and I loved the music and especially the sounds effects, mmm nice and plumpy and BARK BARK ! I loved the pixel art chickens as well and the super fat chicken. It was a great puzzle, like an adventure game. Great work!
This game is really goofy and I LOVE IT! A viking dancing, a pun in the title, and fun memory based gameplay? Sign me up! You could even take this further and make like a dance dance revolution version. The art was some of the best that I’ve seen, very polished and nice.
I love the 80s style feel and music! I was also a huge fan of the Area 51 memes and this is right on.

Very cool game! It had a total escape room feel while taking on a unique twist for the theme in making sure you get back in time to press the buttons. You didn’t opt out of the audio category but I didn’t hear any audio on the web version? It could use at least like a beeping sound effect to warn the player if the countdown is about to end, and could add to the suspense. Great job!
I was playing on Safari and the sound wasn't showing up. I just replayed and revoted the sound category for your game and I really liked it ! The voice acting was nice. Sorry about that !
I like the subgames and the music sounds good to me, however there should be some tutorial about the mechanics of the game. I died 10 times trying to jump across to the lever until I realized you could click on it. Although, you are playing as an AI learning, so maybe the point is just trial and error. Great game submission for you and your brother!
The game is still really fun to play without lightning! You just have to be more skilled about using dash to avoid their attacks! I also really like the music, it was creative and catchy. Edit: I’m guessing you didn’t make the music since no category but it added to my experience of playing the game anyway! :)
Oh and having each level zoom out to reveal the next one was a very clever usage of the theme

@skiwee for mac there should be a .app or .dmg. All I see in the folders is files and the thing that looks like an application (the v2 file) just opens a text file. I don’t know how to fix it ?

Would love to see some music and sound effects next time, opengameart is a great source and you don’t have to participate in the sound category but it’ll add to the overall experience of playing the game. Nice job for your first submission though, you did it!

I really like the intro and the art for this game. However, it could really use at least sound effects and music would be a good addition too. Also, there’s no way to tell if you got hit or not and how many lives you have, so that’s something to keep in mind for the future is making sure you don’t slack on the UI or explicity telling the player actions that are occurring. Overall, very cool and nice job !
Very cool game ! I like the entirely handwritten and hand drawn artstyle and the intro of being stuck in a loop was cool. For the gameplay, I thought it was a really cool mechanic that you could create a loop to hop on and you could stay entirely in the air if you timed it well. Nice job !

Nice job! It’s pretty fun, I liked the music building up but then it just stopped suddenly but the sound efx still played? The looping mechanic is interesting, sending you back to the spawn point if you don’t reach the next one in time
Nice game! I love the idea of moving to the beat, it reminds me of Crypt of the Necrodancer. The disco guys animation as he dances is hilarious, and the game is pretty difficult like one of those rage games where you get so close to the end and then hit by a trap or run out of time. Definitely died quite a few times. Great job man! Next time, I wouldn’t put off the music to the end if you are making a rhythmic game, but it works well with just the beat.

This is a really creepy suspenseful game ! I like the music you used to help set the mood as well as the creepiness of the stuff repeated on the walls. The text to speech was pretty funny (You won't die yet HAHAHAHAAHA). Nice job for your first game !

This game was really quite fun! The music was intense and I really felt like I was defusing a bomb where one mistake could cost me all my progress. One suggestion I have is when the stack piled up too much the top command would leave the screen and you could no longer see it, so that’s just a small bug if you let it pile up too much. Overall great game!

Very fun and addictive game ! It’s like a much cooler version of the chrome dinosaur game and I like how each run builds off of the previous ones. The pixel art is amazing especially the city background. Great job !
