I loved it! The puzzle was challenging but really fun, and the art style and music was awesome too, good job!

I loved it! The puzzle was challenging but really fun, and the art style and music was awesome too, good job!
I spent more time playing this than I want to admit. I really liked the music, but I would've liked to hear some sound effects. Either way, congratulations, it was a really interesting and entertaining game :D!
I loved it! The idea is really cool and fits the theme perfectly. The design of the puzzles is awesome! I didn't feel frustrated at any point but I had fun completing them (and I'm not a puzzle game fun, tbh). The art is gorgeous and the sound works perfectly, and I found the frogs' animations and sounds really funny hahaha.
I really liked both the aesthetic and the backstory (I was really interested in it and that was the main reason I continued playing). But, as the others, I got frustrated when I got to level 2, which is a pity :(.
I also think some music could have helped setting the tone and would've even made the trial and error process more bearable, but being a Compo game I understand you didn't have the time to make your own music, so it's okay.
I read your comment saying that you can throw bolts with 'B', so I tried but nothing happened.
Anyways, you should be proud that you made this in Compo mode, the story and the graphics are really cool!
Cool! The mechanic of boomerang-throwing everything was fun and interesting. I would've liked some synergies or interactions between objects (could be a cool idea in case you spend more time on this in the future). Oh, and I love the graphics. Congratulations!
It may not be the most original game of the jam, but daaaamn! The game looks astonishing, the sounds are well picked and I had to give you 5 :star: in Fun just for the controls, moving the ship is really satisfying! I didn't expect the spaceship to be controlled using the mouse, but I have to admit it worked great. Very good job.
I didn't expect a game like this in the jam. I found it quite unique and really liked the mood. You left me wanting to play a lot more levels! ^^
Very cool idea, it fits the theme perfectly! The puzzles were very well thought and I think that the difficulty curve was bearable, which is difficult to achieve in a puzzle game with not a lot of time to design. The art is also really cool, I like your style! I would have liked to hear some music or sounds though.
Due to my bad sense of rhythm I couldn't even complete the first level (so I don't know if there are more scenes). And even so, I had fun! I even think this game could help improve my rhythm skills hahaha. The art and sound design are awesome, very good job!
The intro video was pretty epic, I can't understand why you opted-out of the graphics cathegory, I would have rated you nicely in that one! I think the idea of game is interesting and could be further developed into a nice project. Of course there are things that could be more polished, but I can see that you had fun creating this and that's great!
I don't get how this game is related to the jam's theme, and to be honest, I don't give a damn. This was probably the most fun I've had with a game in this jam! At one point of the game I was really frustrated with the shooting guys, but I had to keep on playing because I was having a blast, which is an amazing thing to experience in a game.
The graphics are also really cool and I loved the music.
Very good job!
@snowinn Thanks for the idea! I updated the itch.io page with a webgl version (I hope it isn't against the rules of the jam hehe). It has a few sound issues, but I will work on that after the jam ends
@azemut Thank you so much for the interesting feedback, I think you might be right, our initial idea was to make the player enter a try and failure loop until they get the goal score, but I understand that it can be frustrating. I take note of that.
@nandelind I think you probably hit the bomb on the first level, which destroys all other ships and earns you enough points to complete the level. "Score" shows your highest score on that level, so it shouldn't change unless you achieve a better score  I guess that the game fails at explaining clearly the goal and meaning of the actions to the player, that's something we'll try to improve for future projects. Thank you for your feedback!
@geist Thanks, we are glad you liked it!
The game feel is fantastic and the platforming mechanics are really polished, I even noticed you added coyote time (or at least it feels like so). Sounds and graphics are cool too, I like the idea of the blocks being 3D.
To be completely honest, I didn't pay much atention to the lower part of the screen during my games  I kind of understand the mechanic, but once you are playing your brain is fully dedicated to the platforming, but I guess this would improve as I get better and better. Maybe having less types/colors of blocks at the beginning would help in this regards.
Apart from that, congratulations! Very solid entry, I hope you get high scores
(Oh I forgot, the itch.io page looks gorgeous too, congrats!)
A beautiful and creative game, good work! I loved the art style and the creature's design (thanks for letting me name it!).
A simple tip for next games: always make sure the player can exit the game without pressing ALT+F4. How will your moms stop playing the game otherwise? They will be stuck in an endless game without knowing how to quit!
Just joking, good job
Very fun game, the controls feel better than most games with pogo stick mechanics. For being made in 12 hours you managed to also implement some fancy UI animations and particles/trails that make up for the lack of assets. Good job, congratulations!
A very cool and interesting game! I can see huge potential here.
I must admit though that it took me some time to figure out how the machines worked. More feedback on how the player's actions affected the machines might have helped here (sounds, particles, indicators...). Also, I would have liked the tutorial messages to stay on screen, as the cognitive load is quite big at the beginning and I forgot my goal at least twice.
Oh, and I loved how the game looks! It's not the art style that I'd have imagined for a game like this, but that makes it more special in my opinion.
Congratulations!
An ambitious game for just three people, good job! I love this kind of games and didn't expect to play one in a Ludum Dare. I guess you already received a lot of feedback but I wanted to point out that I wasn't able to see the enemy's formation beforehand, which makes it difficult to take decisions on your own strategy for battles. However, I loved the complexity of the battle system, I just hoped the tactical decisions felt more important
A very satisfying and adictive game. I can see it succeed in the Play Store if you polish it and add more levels. Congratulations!
An interesting new take on both Pong and Arkanoid, they fit together pretty well! Also, the idea of building your own wall behind the paddle by destroying the wall in the middle is genius!
A funny little game! I can see myself spending time in this one on my phone waiting for the subway to arrive. I would have really liked the news mechanic to have a more noticeable effect in your earnings, as my experience was that I could continue spending money in cryptocurrencies when they were being regulated without any down sides. This could have made me use the "sell" button a lot more.
But anyways, congratulations on the fun game!
Very cool game with outstanding graphics and aestethic! It has some details that I really love, like the fire indicator for when you go offscreen (I'm sure this kind of things improve user experience more than it is often expected).
The game can be frustrating at times, as the player can get in situations that *look* impossible to survive, but we know is difficult to balance a game in a jam, and the "TV smashing" mechanic can save you if you are quick enough. However, I'm worried that some players won't notice the possibility to smash the TV, I didn't notice in my first run.
To sum up, loved the game. I'm excited to see what you do in future jams
A crazy but very fun game, I would like to try it out with friends !
Instead of a jump I would have added a different ability, like a short dash or sprint. I think it could improve the already enjoyable loop of appearing-positioning-hitting the ball.
This is just gorgeous. I can't barely imagine the maths behind this, but I'm a huge fan of Cixin Liu's trilogy about the three-body problem and I was familiar with it. The way you portrayed this phenomenon is fantastic and proves you have very good taste. I've sent it to some physician friends already and they like it too!
Really cool game! If I had to give you any feedback, I would say the player could get at least one more combat mechanic to make the game even more interesting. The controls feel really good and the game is enjoyable, but having a secondary attack or special ability would make for a deeper combat system, which I think would come in handy for a game like this.
I also think having sounds for the skeleton and falling rocks would have made the game much more entertaining and would have improved the feedback to the player. And if you run out of time and/or can't find more free sounds online, don't forget **you can make your own sounds**! It can be as easy as opening Audacity and recording something using your voice (you can modify it to make it sound less human). I did this for my own entry this year and I think it was faster than searching for sounds online (and the result is often hilarious ).
So anyways, great work, congratulations! Oh, and I love the skeleton and player 3D models!
The game is very difficult but I can't stop playing it! The graphics are pretty cool too. Well done!
@quite-good Thanks for the feedback! To be honest, I changed the jump direction to be based on the player's tilt because I thought it would be more intuitive, but it seems it didn't work. I guess we should find someone to test our game before release next time
Anyways, thanks for appreciating the power of egg games! :muscle:
@devparty I'm glad you guys liked it! Hope you can recover your sleep though  Thanks for playing!
@ache-games That's a great idea indeed!
@mickyhc Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed it!
@toma-allary Thanks for the feedback! The torque force definitely needs some adjusting.
I'm glad you find Parsec useful! We discovered it when we had to test a game after lockdown started and it saved our lives
@rufson Thanks for the feedback!
We also wanted to make the eggs break but unfortunately ran out of time :worried:
I hope next time you can find someone to play with, it is much more fun!
I came to this game because it looked amazing and I love pinball, but when I realized it was also an NDS game I was like "WOW, this guy is brave!"
Very cool game, I really love the art style on this one. Sadly, it is pretty easy to get the ball stucked between two points. I guess the ball's physics need a little more tweaking to make it feel good, but I can't even imagine how you make games for NDS, so I can guess you weren't using a user-friendly physics engine/library like Unity's.
So as I said, making a DS game for COMPO is really brave, you can be proud!!
I can see the *Dark Souls* influence in this game.
No but seriously, congrats on the game, it is obvious that you enjoyed yourselves working on it and that is always noticeable by the player. I really liked some weird details like the text-to-speech, I think this kind of features give games personality.
Good job! :goat:
Very smart game and original idea, one of my favorites so far! I love how the game mixes puzzles with action-platformer mechanics. The audio is top-level and the graphics are great too. Perhaps the platforming sections were a bit too difficult, but I appreciate that levels start paused so you can think about your path beforehand.
Really good job, congratulations!
You got my attention with the game's name and I can say this is a fun little game  Loved the level design, makes you try to remember each level and prepare for the next "hiccup"
Great job!
A very cool idea with beautiful art  Also adding a leaderboard makes me want to play until I enter the top 10! To give you some feedback, I sometimes got confused with the map layout, and for some mechanics it gets a little bit difficult to move. I guess having more feedback for when the mechanic change would also help. But I can see this was a very ambitious idea and you did a great job. Congratulations!
Very clever game, it kept surprising me all throughout! I think the level design is genious, it felt like the game knew exactly where I would go next at any time. Audio and graphics are great two. Congratulations!
Great entry! Love the audio and specially the voice acting, it really felt like if you were on the battlefield
Great game to have fun with friends! It reminds me of Crash Bash, which I love  The graphics and sounds create a very cool atmosphere. I think the rules on the left-hand side of the screen are difficult to pay attention to, but this is not a problem when the changing rule adds a new element to the ring.
Very cool game, good job!
Great job! I loved the 3D models, it was fun just to watch the player jiggle when moving around  To make it less repetitive I would suggest adding an extra mechanic, like trying not to spill the coffee. I also think it would be fun to spawn more employees in the office periodically, it would make it harder to reach the boss and add a bit of progression.
Fun fact: we also did a game about getting fired from your job for this jam, but with a very different perspective
Cool game and original take on the theme. I would suggest adding some feedback when a level is completed, it would also make it more rewarding to advance in the game. I liked the art style and the golem's design. The music loop is also nice and relaxing. Good work!
Very cool game! I've already played a few games that change rules/abbilities every 10 seconds this jam, but in this game all the weapons felt good and were unique. It's a pitty there is only one type of enemy in the game because I really had fun with the combat in the game. Also, the VFX, sounds and music are great and set a very cool tone. Nice work!
@simono We didn't think about trackpad users when designing the controls, I can imagine it's far more difficult, I'm sorry about that
Thanks for playing and I'm glad you liked it!
@guntainment Thank you so much for your feedback!
@epicgamefan I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing
@codechomper Nightmare before Christmas was exactly our inspiration he he. Having an easy mode might be a good idea, thanks for the feedback!
@batkoi 13 satisfied kids is a great score actually! :eyes:
@whitenoize We definitely have to work on the difficulty  Thanks for playing!
@hadri Oh nooo! Y'all are going to make us do a *Trackpad Mode*
@cookie-chr Thank you for the feedback!
@root-97 Wow! Thank you so much for your comment! We've been receiving a lot of comments on the difficulty but I'm glad you had fun either way
I don't know if dreaming about this game would be a good thing, I hope you sleep well tonight hahaha
@tarosie Thank you so much for your comment and kind words! You are completely right, our intention was to make the players realise at some point that finishing a toy in time is more important than delivering a "good" toy when you are under such pressure. We are glad you had fun with our little game, thanks for playing!
Cool game and good take on the theme, it makes you think about the shark and collect and build as fast as you can. I would suggest improving the user experience in general. For example, at first I didn't know that I had to click on the materials floating on the sea, as there is no indication or feedback when hovering the mouse over them. Same thing with the building buttons, they look as plain text so I didn't know they were buttons at first glance. I think that with some improvements this would be a pretty addictive game
This was a great experience, probably one of my favourite games from this jam! I usually skip games with a lot of text when rating LD games but this one was a pleasure, the writing is great and the atmosphere you created with the sound and the visuals is awesome. Good work!
I would like to know what software you used for the voice lines, I imagine you did some editing but the voice sounds so convincing!
Cool concept and original use of the theme. I couldn't play with a friend but looks like fun!
