love the art style, very cute and good idea! Well done

peace-of-cake-games 2021-10-04 21:24

Perfectly balanced.... Managed to get 10 of everything, it was practically raining money!

This is probably the most enjoyable clicker game I've ever played. It's straightforward, it teaches you things through trial and error instead of a lengthy tutorial, and the news actually helps (sometimes)!

By the way, winter is coming. Wait, never mind, it's not coming. Just kidding, it is. Winter ends and immediately it's winter again. Just kidding none of the winters ever happened. 🤣 Best season cycle ever.

I really like this game! The graphics are really simple yet polished in the right places, and the gameplay is somewhat relaxing to play. My only minor feedback is to do something with the white text on the things to buy since it's somewhat hard for me to read if it's in a light background.

Nonetheless, such a solid game. Well done

Very nice game, it plays very well, though i would like to be able to buy things faster, i have to wait a little before my purchase is confirmed on the game. It incorporated the theme on a very creative way. The sound and music were very nice, some of the SFX on the menu could be a little lower to match the rest of the game. Overall a nice and calming experience.

deltamain 2021-10-05 06:15

Awesome game, you made perfect clicker balance. It also fits the theme, but news don't seem to make visible effect. Graphics is adorable.

aderpychickenstudios 2021-10-05 06:17

I really enjoying the exponential growth that you had, it took me a bit to figure out that the news effected the price of buying things rather than their output but other than that great job

ultrarat 2021-10-05 06:19

Very unstable news cycle ;) These guys sell some papers. I wish there were some tooltips on mouse hover for what some of the later purchases were. A few of them were hard to tell what text they related to.

ovilia 2021-10-05 06:20

Nice sound and mood! But I didn't quite understand what the images in the left mean and when event happens, I'm not sure what part of my investment earns money.

n-o-games 2021-10-05 06:24

Just a lovely clicker game. There's so much charm and love put into this game it's almost infections. Great job!

bigassopper 2021-10-05 12:25

Had a lot of fun playing it plus its a lovely game :D

tobb 2021-10-05 13:34

Simple and enjoyable. also enjoyed the music alot :)

I felt like the news section could be a bit clearer on what it meant exactly for the prices/profits/losses

aidan-and-seb 2021-10-05 13:35

The art is really well done. I like the clicker mechanic with the news integrated into the pricing system. Really clever entry. Well done!

megamasterx 2021-10-05 13:37

This is certainly a sleeper hit for this Ludum Dare. Only suggestion I can think of is for a clicker game, it'd be cool to keep your previously selected item...selected if you choose to buy it. Aside from that, this is a nice, chill entry and the news feed is a great way to break up gameplay and give the player feedback about their selections. Well done!

bountyhat 2021-10-05 13:38

Clicking and clicking... really like how the theme unstable is represented by the game. Nice graphics and sound effect. Love it!

sir-onionknight 2021-10-05 13:42

It was definitely a clicker lol. Learning I noticed I wasn't actually buying anything after the first thing I bought so going back and forth to the icon for the resource I wanted and back to "buy" definitely involved some babysitting. Of course, I do enjoy clicker games so that wasn't too bad. It was a fun little waster for sure.

owinmowe 2021-10-05 13:43

Nice game. Really liked how the news interacted with the game.

pilcrow 2021-10-05 13:45

i got dizzy because of the background constantly moving, other than that its just a basic clicker. I really like the middle graphics, theyre simple yet fun. the font is so minimal its hard to read some prices (thought second thing costed 800 when it was in fact 300) Buying mechanics work weirdly, i think it would be better if you had a buy and sell button for every invidual thing rather than clicking through it. I also would increase the box size so last price can fit in it. Good job nonetheless

amikatag 2021-10-05 13:49

Fine clicker with nice newsboard telling us that cryptocurrencies are banned, taxes increasing... Well, mood is good.

jepjoh2 2021-10-05 13:57

Pretty cool

It would have been really nice if it kept the selection of what I wanted to trade. Otherwise it is just a ton of clicking - and especially misclicking :stuck_out_tongue:

naymsayk 2021-10-05 14:11

Wish I was this good at the markets in real life. Nice quick little clicker game. Wish the big dollar amounts had commas in. Also didn't like having to reclick everything every time.

slimmerburger 2021-10-05 18:29

The arts really cute, UIs clean and the sounds are nice! Although I'm not a big fan of clicker games, I still enjoyed it

saucygames 2021-10-05 22:32

im very relaxed now, thanks

mateu 2021-10-05 23:23

I put way too much time into this game. I got 138 factories and reached $1 billion. I don't think I really need to say any more than that, as the time I played speaks for the quality of your game. So, nice job!

shawn-beck 2021-10-06 09:42

It's quite fun once you understand it. But some QOL fixes would go a long way like remembering the selection. The game seems to have an input lag where it takes half a second to register a buy or sell.

toxichouse 2021-10-06 12:48

Very good gameplay loop, a casual phone game would be pretty cool using this concept. Some news were hard to know the effect, or how much i would win per stock. I would recommend a new UI to complement this information. Great game.

professir 2021-10-06 20:02

Really nice game! Love clickers and the news was hilarious

nefylem 2021-10-06 20:56

A bit hard on the eyes between the large pixelized font and the scrolling background. Cool concept though

exilegl 2021-10-06 21:16

Cute art style (although imo the text could be clearer, specifically in the news), and a fun little game :) Would be cool if you could buy multiple of something at once, instead of re-selecting the item then clicking the buy button each time. (maybe a little "x5" and "x10" button next to each purchaseable item could be nice to have). Interesting take on the theme too.

Here's my cash so far -

verysoftwares 2021-10-07 06:37

man i'm a sucker for clicker games. this one is pretty fun, although... the font was a bit hard to read, and i'd liked to buy multiple objects at the same time.

skyward4d 2021-10-07 07:26

Really unique to do an idle game for a gamjam, the price fluctuation mechanic was a creative application of the theme. Would have been nice to have a bulk-buy option for buildings, otherwise really nice experience. Nice work!

mtabasco 2021-10-07 09:44

A funny little game! I can see myself spending time in this one on my phone waiting for the subway to arrive. I would have really liked the news mechanic to have a more noticeable effect in your earnings, as my experience was that I could continue spending money in cryptocurrencies when they were being regulated without any down sides. This could have made me use the "sell" button a lot more.

But anyways, congratulations on the fun game!

cookie-chr 2021-10-07 16:11

Nice little game! The graphics were really well made, although I would suggest a darker background for the prices. Music was also really calming, but didn't restart after it finished. Overall really enjoyable!

liviuslycurgus 2021-10-07 22:54

Chill game. Wish the background wasn't moving though, it made it hard to keep my eyes on the screen.

mrbell270 2021-10-08 00:49

Nice chill game. I love clickers, so I am bias :D

It would be nice to have current money-per-second indicator and ability to click for money to make it full-sized clicker fighting cows and cookies :)

Great entry, good luck!

matt-fabius 2021-10-08 03:12

Enjoyable classic clicker game. These are always satisfying. There are some improvements that could be nice if you wanted to expand this post-jam though. It'd be nice if the scrollable zone showing your assets expanded as you added new assets instead of containing all the empty slots from the get-go. This also made it kind of hard to scroll through on laptop, I suspect scroll wheel is less sensitive than track pad. It'd also be nice to get a more clear indicator of the effect the news was having on the market. I did notice eventually that some things seemed to change prices and other things might be affecting how much money you're making but it's not super clear at the moment which made me feel inclined to just ignore the news section. As a minor UX thing, I feel like being able to just double click on something to buy it instead of clicking it and then clicking buy each time would make it feel better. Overall, it felt like a pretty polished clicker and I like the artwork. Nice work!

wedgiebee 2021-10-08 17:58

I have a weak spot for clickers so I really enjoyed this! The art was beautiful, and the music track was SO beautiful.... Gosh I love that track. At some point it stopped looping and stayed silent though, which was a bummer.

Unfortunately, I feel like I didn't get to use the main twist to this mechanic, which was the news feed and fluctuating prices. It was tough correlating the news to what item was getting affected and how - plus the price changes never seemed to last more than like 10 seconds, so it never really affected the game too much.

Other than that, I really appreciated the vibes you created :) Good job

jvdwijk 2021-10-09 21:39

This was an interesting one! having an unstable news market makes this a great concept for an idle game! A bit of polishing (like adding buttons for buying multiple items at once) would make this a great game!

Really liked the entry, well done!

ldjq 2021-10-10 11:38

I like the art, and having the price of items change is an interesting idea.

I found it hard to track if a price changed.

It would be nice if hovering over an item told you what it is.

a-i 2021-10-11 20:40

Very nice game! I think it can be even better with some more challenges. Is it even possible to lose money here? lol An ability to buy/sell multiple items would be really nice to have, or at least if my selection didn't get cleared out every time I buy/sell. But a really nice game, I enjoyed it.
