LD44 — Your life is currency

shoot out your life by puppetmaster 2019-05-02T21:31:04Z

Love the art, the sound is pretty satisfying and the theme is well-adapted. I don't know how Tetra works but you seems to know it pretty well.

Dead Only by pilly 2019-04-30T16:40:38Z

Dam this game is hard ! I'm a big fan of pixel art and I think these graphics are really good, I appreciate the reference with the first Zelda's. The concept is quite simple but good. An amazing work for a compo, big respect.

Dungeons of Taradith by DrunkardWolf 2019-05-02T20:14:19Z

The concept is pretty strong, the graphics are smooth and the audio feeling is pretty satisfying. There's just one thing: I think the game is way too easy. I reached floor 30 by spamming cards and buying nothing. The curve of difficulty is the only problem for me, and the skill cap is really low. Nevertheless, this game can have a future, with more and more cards, it could be really interesting. Good job.

Red Rock by Spooky 2019-05-02T21:15:33Z

Hey ! It's actually pretty fun to destroy asteroids. Even if the Character controller is kind of "slippy", I find it quite enjoyable.

Your menu is perfect, so beautiful, I also like your FX on the canons: pretty simple and clear.

Clock of Your Life by JestemStefan 2019-05-02T19:48:22Z

Good concept. I just don't understand why you say that it's not fun. A game is made to be fun, and degrading your game is just like saying "Please don't play my game". Get more confidence and always think every person sees fun differently. Good continuation for the other jams ;D

Nutty Twins by Supernapie 2019-05-02T20:40:22Z

The concept is amazing, the graphics are top tier and the levels are well-designed. But, there's two problems for me:

1) I can't bear the audio, the SFX and the music are giving me headaches. I have to admit it's polished, but it is not enjoyable at all for me. (I had to mute my PC sound)

2) I don't see the theme. I know lots of people don't care about that, but I really have the impression that you've thought about the concept before the jam, and then try to adapt it. I personally don't think it's fair for the others (even if I know sometimes a jam is just an excuse to have time to develop an idea). Maybe you haven't done that, and just adapt the theme to your mind, but for me, you didn't check the "constraint" part.

Nevertheless, this prototype is polished, and the concept have a future (except for the sound xD). Furthermore, it looks like you've done it alone, so big respects.

Noobmancer by IanLux 2019-04-30T16:25:06Z

That's an amazing game. The concept is cool, the art fits well, I didn't see any bugs (That's the harder xD) and there is a excellent tutorial (In a jam I think it's mind-blowing). Unfortunately, I can't listen to the audio ('cause I don't have headphones on me...) so I won't rate it.

I know it could be a style, but if you want to smooth the edges of a mesh on Unity, you click on it in the project folder (not the scene), and there's something called "Normals" in the Inspector, swith it to "Calculate" and add some numbers in "Smoothing angle". Just a tip if you didn't know.

Great job you did ! Hope we'll see you in the next Ludum !

Bloody Money by GabrielGameDev 2019-05-02T20:59:40Z

I see it's your first jam, and I have to admit it's better than my first one. Of course, this game isn't perfect at all, there's lots of problems (hitboxes, spiders...) but even if you've suffered during these 72h, you achieve to post something, and that's how you improve yourself. Don't give up, you can learn a lot in jams !

Ps: Try to find a team, the creativity is better and you have less work to do

Trash Planet Explorer by Bauke Regnerus 2019-05-02T21:48:20Z

What a beautiful game. The mechanics are cool, the graphics are incredible, the "toggle screen" button and the minimap are proofs of quality xD. Even if you didn't fished what you wanted to do, this is currently satisfying.

Oh, and why did you put rating on Audio and no rating on Graphics ? I can't hear any sounds and I thought you've done every asset.

Orgain by Dziukoala 2019-04-30T16:03:07Z

I think I have some problems with the build, I can't play it well: I can't change items (with both my keyboard and my mouse) and when I press Space, I'm not hiding but playing a weird animation and There is no restart button, I have to reload the page. Whatever, I understand what you wanted to do, and it could be interesting. I have to admit that my first jam was clumsy too, discovering Unity can be hard. Don't give up, you can learn a lot in jams. So just a tip: Search what is an anchor on Unity doc, so now your UI can fit any type of screen ;D

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Looperer by leonardosantana 2020-10-06T18:10:09Z

Good concept ! Gravity swap is a strong idea with a circular planet like this. Good job ! Furthermore, the game is polished. Playing the robot with inertia feels like playing in space so it's cool.

I would say the game lacks checkpoints, even if it's not so long to do the level again.

The Boy On The First Floor by Kwarf 2020-10-06T17:40:56Z

Hey ! I think you could increase the range of the attack, it's pretty frustrating to hit enemies and get hurt in the process, especially if it's mandatory to kill them. I also think the camera is a bit too close to the player but that's personal I guess.

The music and the graphics are really cool, good job !

Eat. Sleep. Rave. Repeat. by pushxtonotdie 2020-10-06T21:16:47Z

Hey ! I would have prefered more raves and less people on the second day. But the music is dope !

Torus by MiracL 2020-10-27T17:30:08Z

I nearly fall from my chair when the game speeded up !

Hang on, Bill! by zanzavar 2020-10-07T13:11:59Z

Wow this is hard to find faults in this game... Amazing graphics, strong humor, good concept, right on the theme. I feel like this is an example of what a good point & click should look like.

Schrodinger and the Quantic Forest by Elrric 2020-10-06T21:04:28Z

Really good concept and a awesome realization ! I would just say that's it's a bit frustrating to die, I would expect more checkpoints especially in a puzzle game. And the enemies are horrible to kill... BUT this game is still a stunning entry, good job ! Felicitationes ;) !

Dash Or DIE! by Ethan Losten 2020-10-06T18:46:26Z

Hey ! If you want to continue after the jam, I would recommend few things.

First, the energy bar isn't well designed currently. The game is literally named "Dash or Die", but I cannot dash as I want, so I guess I just die... What I mean is that in a combat we need defence options as a player, and there's only one : the dash. So you have your offensive option and the defensive option on the same mechanic, which is the dash (this isn't bad at all, in fact it's pretty cool). The problem is that I cannot use it to kill enemies and avoid their attack at the same time, because I'm limited in my dashes, and there are too much enemies.

Here's few ideas to fix that: -Create another mechanic to give defensive option, like a block. -Tweak the recovery of the energy bar, or create rewarding mechanics if you want to keep the risk/reward when slashing in the mass. Example: When hitting an enemy, fill up all the energy bar.

Try adding more "juice" to the game. Screenshakes, blood particles, all types of particles actually, trail renderers, sfx... This WILL improve your game a lot, trust me.

I don't understand why there is a fog war, but it didn't bother me so I guess you could keep it.

Anyway, the graphics looks lit, especially the enemies and all the animations. (I will be so insane with particles). I would just recommand more shades on the main character.

Keep it up, it could be a great finished game.

Paper Planes by SamDemaine 2020-10-07T13:50:53Z

The game is really easy to understand but quite challenging. I think it could become a nice mobile game if you pursue it. Nice graphics too, and an enjoyable character controller. Good job !

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Whisp by Kilian BAPTENDIER 2021-04-28T01:26:29Z

@washington-irving My mate & I appreciate your interest but, I don't think it will be possible... The file is way too heavy for any of the free platform I know, plus it needs more than 20h to upload it on Drive... Plus the game is really laggy, and I have a good PC. I uploaded pictures on the link if you want to see something.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Putin's Show by Kilian BAPTENDIER 2022-04-05T21:00:49Z

I'm afraid you may have missed what I wanted to express, and I'm sorry you took it as just a "bad joke". The point behind this game is to show how absurd and violent the world is right now. The game is hard, frustrating and demoralizing, against a dictator who can do whatever he wants and smiling while doing it. Player has the same range of actions in the game than me against Putin : nothing. I wanted to add some hints for the player to understand the complexity of my reflexion but I didn't had the time, so I understand your opinion.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Match it Fast by CharlieMrl 2022-10-04T12:21:41Z

The game is clean and polished, with a smooth character controller, cute graphics, engaging music, and lots of feedback and juice. Nevertheless, I'm disappointed with the core concept, which isn't original. I feel like you've put too much on the realization and not enough on the design. To me, I won't remember this game among others you've done. I respect the fact that you put all your efforts into having something funny and entertaining, yet I feel like a jam is for testing new things... Apart from that, which is very personal, the game is cleaaaaaaaaan! And bunnies are cute, even with machine guns.

Peter OS by Brandsma 2022-10-04T11:34:26Z

Nice entry, I have nothing else to say. I felt overwhelmed but curious, you did well!

Void Well by Helzinko 2022-10-04T11:23:58Z

Nice entry with a strong concept. Good art style and colors, fun character controller, nice risk/reward ratio. I'm not sure about the music, but that's just my taste, and I would have prefered my shots to not break the cubes. Have you thought about adding bonus falling down ? The player could avoid the cubes falling and instead try to reach them. Anyway, good job! It's impressive, and even more for a compo.

LD55 — Summoning

Let's Cook Enough by aviktorov 2024-04-17T15:19:42Z

Hey, nice work ! I like the graphics although it lacks a bit of homogeneity. Interesting take on the theme, I like the "disease" that spreads through the ingredients but I wasn't able to stop it or to destroy the ones that were infected ;( (I'm curious if I could have done something ?). I find the choice of music a bit odd, it ruined my mood, as well as the slowness of the character controller. Nevertheless, it was a pleasing experience :D

Eye for Mischief by Vyolfers 2024-04-17T16:22:43Z

Stunning graphics & menu details and hats off to the only dev, no bugs for me! The 2 different art styles kind of bother me, and I would have prefered a unique one, but that's just a personal opinion. The gameplay, the UI and the retro music reminded me of Pac-man, but in a different cuter way. The goal is simple, yet I had to establish strategies to annoy my hooman. Oh and the tutorial is on point! A really really nice entry, good job to all ;D

The Deep Madness by Sargonius 2024-04-17T15:55:48Z

Hey! Nice idea and good execution. I like the progression and the feeling of becoming more powerful. But I have some troubles with the character controller and feedbacks in general. It's hard to aim without a cursor, to know which fish is attacking and what the summoners really do (I guess they are spawning fish ?). I love the way you explained the mechanics at the start, nice animation! Anyway nice entry (Love Cthulu too <3)

Over Scoped by blank_3D 2024-04-16T12:19:52Z

I can't summon anything... I've tried countless ingredients but without a recipe, I have no idea of what I should do, and there are billions possibilities (I didn't do the maths, it just sounded extreme enough). I guess the book should help me, but I can't find it either. Nevertheless, the graphics and the character controller are enjoyable :D

Over Scoped by blank_3D 2024-04-17T14:56:26Z

@blank-3d I just realized I missed the summon input... I though it would trigger automatically with 5 ingredients... ^^' I gave it another try and changed my notation as well :D

Spooky by TheMaxi7 2024-04-17T15:35:11Z

This is really good considering that you were alone and that it's your first jam! Everything is a bit rough, and I learned way too late that blue orbs don't do damage... ^^' But I really appreciate the character controller, it feels nice to play. I recommend adding more feedbacks to everything (mana cost, ennemy killed, who's an ally, damage taken...) but I'm being picky. Good job :D
