I like the dynamic of the gameplay, feels like good old quake or so. Summon via orb mechanics is either broken or I couldn't manage to use it. Also, the great boss creature, it's so big and it feels cool!

Should probably upload a executable version, I am unable to play the game on the page. Seems to be missing it's index page at the moment.
Also had issues with the embed. I found it on our itch.io page, but maybe that's not the current version (it also hung at 90% loaded):

The mood was great! For a first game jam this is great! The controls were a bit laggy in the browser, but nothing too bad. good job! ♥
Thought it was cool that you made a 3D game! the mana cost of the AOE was too high, so i just ended up shooting regularly instead. maybe it should have just been a long cooldown but low cost? and the boss did not seem to do anything Nice music and overall nice job!
I didn't understand what I was summoning but in the end I summon an ally, good game,fun!
A bit confusing at times, but I really enjoyed this one. Not too many FPS games in Ludum Dare, so it was a refreshing one. :) Reminded me somewhat of older shooters, like Serious Sam. Kudos!
Hello fellow 5 minute timed game!
I did not realize that the bar on the side was summoning experience, but once I figured that out I was able to summon the final boss and the ally.
Love the style and the atmosphere for the game!
Very confusing controls( But I thought the shading was pretty. And when the boss came out... man I'm easily scared by gigantic things so it had a strong effect on me)
Now first off, this is a great game, after playing it sometimes i managed to get 1:46 as my highscore. There are some minor issues holding this game back. The restart functionality doesn't really work. Unless you fully close the game, spooky just wouldnt spawn again after i restarted at half health. Secondly there are some balancing issues. For example, you should basically never use the explosion when trying to get a high score. It costs half your mana and good mana management is essential because its almost the only factor determining how fast the boss goes down. Just tuning down the mana cost of the explosion by half ord 2/3rds might have significantly improved the playing experience because the explosions are awesome and they reward trying to group your enemies to kill them more efficiently. The boss fight itself is, although very impressive and had a memorable wow effect due to its size, rather predictable. As all you do once the boss spawns is hoping to have summoned your helper already and hold left click. The only difference in speed, once you have summoned the helper being how much mana you have left at this point. What might have helped here is to make the helper a lot cheaper as well so that the amount of helpers you can summon varies a bit more, because as it stands, it doesn't matter if i have amassed 100, 110 or 150 experience, I will most likely go into the boss fight with 1 helper, farming for a second one while boss is already here seems very inefficient, because it also means you will use up your mana with farming and once you will be able to help your helper you wont have that much left.
Anyways, I think your game is really cool, which makes these minor issues all the more frustrating. I think you did a great job, I would suggest some more playtesting and I hope you make more games in the future. :)

It's an interesting little game. I really liked the monster design and music. The mana/summon mechanic was honestly a bit difficult to understand, or it was just me being a bit blind xD I managed a time of 2:10 :D Great effort!
This is really good considering that you were alone and that it's your first jam! Everything is a bit rough, and I learned way too late that blue orbs don't do damage... ^^' But I really appreciate the character controller, it feels nice to play. I recommend adding more feedbacks to everything (mana cost, ennemy killed, who's an ally, damage taken...) but I'm being picky. Good job :D
The controls felt a lil' janky but overall it was a pretty good experience.
I really enjoyed the game, it was fun. In my first playthrough I didn't even notice the boss or the helpers. I kept shooting the little monsters and used the spawner until I won :)). After I saw other people's comments I realised what was I missing, so I played it again, this time I saw the boss and went for the kill myself :laughing: . For a first jam this is very good, good job.
Good job for doing it on your own. For a shooter, there's room for improvement, but it works and the environment is pleasant. After beating the boss I can't use the menu to restart, none of the buttons work. I have to restart via the itch.io page.

Neat game! I like the spooky vibes and the basic game loop, they were very simple but worked well and were pretty fun. I would have liked to see a little enemy variety or potentially some extra actions/phases for the boss. I didn't really get how to use the glowing "I to summon" ball either
Fun! I didn't realize the little guy I summoned was helping me, but once I realized the big spooky guy was off in the distance, I understood the errors of my ways.
Was able to beat it in about 4 minutes. Feedback on attacks was a bit confusing, but didn't stop me from succeeding. Good work!
