Very cool, good dynamics ... reminded me of Akane and Ubermosh ... if you continue it with more content, you have great chances of success on Steam !!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Bloody Money

The groundwork was ok, but the game lacked satisfying combat and reasonable hit detection. Hitting the zombies was not fun and the spiders had a very specific timing window in which they could be hit, before they hit you first. It felt too repetetive before I was able to buy any upgrades. I guess a gun might solve some of the problems. Melee combat just felt too awkward. The graphics were nice though :) The camera sway when looking around was a bit to janky.
@duke thanks for feedback. I could not do the combat satisfactory as I wanted and lacked time for balancing and polishing. Both weapon and melee combat were not as well as I wanted. But it served as an experiment in how to develop such a game.
A good start to the game for sure. The hit detection was a little off. But the graphics were great. The one thing I struggled with the most was the movement system. Looked a little off while moving backwards with a forward running animation. Still... amazing work for just a weekend.
I didn't really get the theme tie in, it was probably me, but its a pretty sick game.
@oddsocks yeah, I know that the movement is kinda awkward =D. I did not want to waste time with the animations, so I had to simplify. Thanks for the feedback!
@streetgeek There is an upgrade store that you buy stuff with your life. Thanks for playing!
Nice Work! I did find the pacing a tad off it took me forever to get any upgrades and really get into the game.
Nice work! The character is a bit confusing. But nice game!
@spooky thanks for feedback. I did not have time to balance and polish the game, unfortunately. Tip is to spend everything at the beginning with life upgrade that the next round life recovers and you can buy things more easily.
@nitropictures I agree. It would be better to set back and side walking animations.
I was not able to figure out, how to buy something. I was stuck with the fist and not able to progress since trying to hit anything with the fist attack is futile.
Congrats, well done.
The concept of paying with life was well applied. I thought it was cool.
The fight got complicated, especially against the spiders.
This has easily been the best jam I've played so far. Only addition would be to add an indicator for when enemies are attacking.
Nicely done, i would just improve the combat, add some Vfx feedback to the attacks and also improve the contact with the weapon and also increase the attack speed or at least randomize it's speeed to get more dynamic animations and flowing attacks.
@klianc09 Sorry for being frustrating for you. My idea would be to have a presentation with a tutorial, but it did not give time to do and to polish the combat as well.
@hexiez123 thanks for feedback and for playing
@ivan-garcia-filho Thanks for the feedback. I could not do the fighting the way I wanted to and it turned out I did not have time to balance and polish
Nice work, though I'm confused by the characters.
@dimoon-ly thanks for playing!
A good start for a solid project. There is a good dynamic in your project. Of course, you can improve some scripts/things like attack and FX. However you did a great work in less than 3 days. Well done ++
The characters were a bit different , but cool man! C:
I see it's your first jam, and I have to admit it's better than my first one. Of course, this game isn't perfect at all, there's lots of problems (hitboxes, spiders...) but even if you've suffered during these 72h, you achieve to post something, and that's how you improve yourself. Don't give up, you can learn a lot in jams !
Ps: Try to find a team, the creativity is better and you have less work to do
@geckoo1337 Thank you very much for playing and for feedback.
@kilian-baptendier thanks for feedback! I appreciate it!
Nice graphics and music but the combat was a bit akward as some people already pointed out. Nice entry!
