Connecting LD30 to the Real World by Will Edwards 2014-08-27T12:36:00
I think it should get 6 stars in Theme and Fun. Amazing!

I think it should get 6 stars in Theme and Fun. Amazing!
Did't realise how to attack and just run away from every enemy in the game. Found the final stone and suddenly found out an attack button. That was fun :-)
You know, I just finished this game a second time. Killing each one of those enemies. Don't mess with my world!
Amazing!
Just perfect! I really like this social part :-)
Insanely hard, but cheat-version is amazing. Good job!
Cool!
Fix please x2
Nice :)
Please add a mouse control... and it'll be very fun and intense :)
"but the final text is unreadable." - yep, in some situations (70%+) the combat log is really huge, didn't have time to fix it or improve combat mechanics :)
"There also seems to be no penalty for reaching 0 fuel" - that's strange... but possible :)
I wish there was more interaction with a game. But it looks really nice :)
Great idea.
Can't play it, sadly :(
That was fun.
Good luck :)
Looks interesting.
Amazing! It lacks info about already build trading posts, but anyway it's really fun, I like those kind of games (and my entry is a little bit similar :))
Great concept
Good idea. The map is HUGE, it's a bit intimidating :-D
That's really cool for 48 hours!
It's ok, but a bit repetitive. I expected a bit more gameplay. Visual style is nice :-)
Omg, that's just perfect in every way :-)
But for some reason, A is not working and all interaction is with Spacebar. Ah, I think A is for gamepad, but it's a little bit confusing :)
It's okay. The minigames part is fun. It ends way too quickly if you miss 2 or 3 of your needs.
I wish I could give both water and food at the same time.
Cool style, I like it
It's a fun game. A bit repetitive and the theme isn't clear enough, but I liked it.
Nice little game! And kudos for UE4 ;-)
It's somewhat similar to my compo game, lol. UE4, cubes, health bars... :-)
Very cool! The interface is way too large. I'll be playing again!
It was fun, great idea!
Nice art style and the whole idea. But it's taking too much time to work with each patient.
I liked it. You can really use highlight for interactive object - that improves the user experience.
Is it possible to win? Great game.
Great entry! Graphics and gameplay are very good.
Whoa, it's really hard. Failed at first boss after ten+ tries.
Very nice concept and you can be an asteroid, that's perfect :-)
Just perfect. I'm making a similar game in my spare time (resource management, post-apoc, survivors etc). And your game has more gameplay and fun than all my prototypes :D
btw, you can move character actions from drop-down menu to buttons with icons, it'll be easier to select.
Interesting idea.
Sadly, I failed to unlock the door with code :( But this was the best LD entry I saw and really interesting to play. It's also very polished. But I wish that code puzzle were easier :(
Very interesting mechanics, but waaay to hardcore for me :)
5 out of 5! Just perfect! The idea is amazing.
Games with cannibalise are my favourite :) It's a little bit too fast and too random, but I enjoyed it
Great visuals and atmosphere, but the gameplay is a bit repetitive.
I liked the visual style.
Great! Played 6 or 7 times, it's very interesting and fun!
Looks like the game about my weekend :-) Great!
Great game! I wish there was a text description for each icon, because it's not clear what does it mean.
Interesting mechanics!
Great visuals!
A little bit slow and hard to control, but overall is very good! I enjoyed it, thanks!
HTML5 version on kongregate doesn't fit in the window. But overall it's quite intuitive and fun :)
Amazing concept! I really enjoyed it, thanks!
Damn, I died in the end! I thought glasses were personal item, not tool :-) Nice and polished game!
It's getting hard and uncontrollable too fast, but the idea is great
really nice game. Gameplay, art and sound are good. Wave 14-15 is way to hard for me :-(
I like the style of the game.
Succeeded with 50% chance, yay! Didn't understand why do you ever need an engineer or the geologist if you can do everything with the miner.
Congrats!
Survived after second try. Nice little game
UI and UX is not good, but the idea is :-)
@ursagames Thank you! 7 cubes is a very good result :-) Random is tough right now and I think it's almost impossible to save all 10 cubes (but that's what the main menu says! :-)).
@saoi-games Thanks for playing! I'm thinking about making a simpler and clearer version of the game. Currently, it's way too confusing :-)
@fre Thank you!
This reminds me of my first jam game, good work! But it's quite hard to understand what to do and how does it work.
I didn't like the controls, it takes too long to get the card ready. But overall it's very nice.
Cthulhu Fhtagn! Amazing, nice art and gameplay. But way too slow.
upd: It's way better in mid and late game!
It's ok. I wish there was a little more gameplay though :-)
Great! I would like to play in non-compo version of this concept :-)
Very cool, but short. I wish you had more time ;)
Visuals are also great.
Amazing artwork!
You really should make a switch game from this entry. It's amazing.
Omg. It's insanely hard, but I LOVE IT. Typing is very painful and I wish there were shortcuts or repeat the last command option. Anyway, concept is just amazing.
Nice! I failed, but it was very amusing! Tutorial was a bit too long and hard to follow, but I got used to the rules later on.
LudumDare55Project-Win64-Shipping_BTHuKhO2uB.jpg
One of the best games I've played! Very amusing :D
Kudos for unreal game! ;-) Great idea, but it was hard to maintain all the weapons at the same level. And the slimes can almost instakill you somehow.
I agree with the unforgiving drawing mechanics comments, it completely broke the experience for me, sadly. But the overall concept is very nice.
The mood is amazing!
Very cool idea! You probably should push it further after jam and the overall feeling of VS is good (way better than in most of the released clones in steam, lol)
This should be a sequel to our game :D
The ending is a bit fast and unexpected. Art is very nice! Pushing space constantly to call the fish seems a little bit unnecessary.
Loved the setting!
Great art and mind-breaking WASD instead of arrows :D In my first run, I got A in the right part of the screen and D in the left, which was insane :D

Overlapping tooltips are really painful and gamebreaking :(
At the same time - AMAZING concept, I would be happy to play in a full version or a slightly fixed Jam one!
Nice, but a little bit too hard and unforgiving.
Would like to try it too, please tag after uploading!
Another Cthulhu game, yay! I hope you can check our project. It's, as said in the comments, "Love-raftian" :D
Great game! I wish there were a clear indication of current level of tower upgrade and I didn't understood what the yellow towers are doing (beat everything with just the red ones).
Fixed a possible death after defeating the boss. Reuploaded the build with the next version.
@litterattus thanks for the detailed feedback! You can't shoot the monster behind you and he is mostly for cosmetic reasons at this moment. If you're too slow and don't refuel your boat - objects around you will slow down and the tentacles will get to your raft (but that's it, they don't kill you right now ;-).
Climbing back to the raft was scraped during the development, we didn't have a lot of programming hours available, sadly. I thought about teleporting player back to the raft with some damage after the fall, but it seemed weird.
Pickups are random with extra random rotation. Yeah, some of them can be barely noticeable :(
As for the light, I agree, some change of lighting during the bossfight or the overall Morning-Day-Evening-Night with bossfight cycle would be great.
Again, thank you for the feedback and for playing our game!
@meranolean thank you for the detailed feedback! Yep, we did everything from scratch in 2 days, actually (the last day I had to work and we only did the tutorial and some bugfixes + testing). Some textures were ai-generated, that's why we had to opt out from graphics and I'm still quite sad because of that :D
As for the rest of your notes - you're completely correct. The water is the most basic water you can do, I wanted to speed it up with the boat, but didn't have time to try. Tactics is very simple, yep, just kill the summoners and don't get distracted with a floating loot. The summoners are the only real danger. We tried to keep it simple and mostly went for the overall feel and mood instead of the hardcore experience :D
We're thinking about doing something with this base, the overall concept of Lovecraftian exploration-survival game seems very fun. We already have a project we're working on as an indie team, but I hope to return to this concept afterwards :)
Again, thank you for the feedback!

Insanely good!
The victory dance is gorgeous!
I managed to break the game somehow after a bunch of round (I summoned everyone and the game just froze) - before that the opponent was spamming mushrooms like crazy (I'm not sure, he had like 20 of them!), maybe that's the reason.
Oh no, not the cat! :D I like how you used the theme!
Solid 5/5! Perfect!
Omg, I love the intro sequence :D Great game! One of the best that I've tried so far!
Mood is great, but the overall difficulty is way too hard. Got 3 stones max. And the fireball speed is somehow affected by the distance between the orc and the player, I'm not sure if that's a feature.
Чуть-чуть не хватило геймплея и вариативности. Понравились размытые фоны (клевое решение!) и общая атмосфера.
It's very nice! I got these Sacrifice vibes! Controls are a bit tricky, but I managed to beat the final guy.
Wow, this is very fun! At first I though it's HoMM-style game. My second though was that it's a tower defense, so I build everything around my tower - and I got overwhelmed by enemies. Finally, I understood what expansion is the key and it was very satisfying to clear all map :D
Everything is a bit small on a 4k resolution. Good mechanics though!
Art is <3
It's nice, but solving puzzles after 72 hours of jam is hard, lol :D
Amazing art and the overall Slavic setting. Controls are a bit tricky.
Ah, I forgot to take the screenshot! :( Very addictive, thank you :D
Nice artwork! Why did you disable the ratings though?
+++ for humor :D
Very hard, but the movement is nice :)
Nice art. I wish there were an actual puzzle level where you can use your spirits to do anything meaningful.
Amazing concept, but it's very hard to manage everything in the current state of the game. But I would be happy to play the full or improved version!
Omg, the editor looks dope. I really wish there were Remaining Time counter and some penalty for incorrect input. And maybe a bit more forgiving checks, I constantly failed the notes when it seemed like it's okay and just close to the end.
36 rounds! Very fun!
Actually, it's very good and addictive! I love the indication of the expected playtime! Great job!
Oh no :( 4.2 seconds until victory :D Game was too small on 4k display I didn't understood how to summon (right click, but they are attacking my own towers!)
