Loved the game! Lovely art and intuitive puzzle solutions. Only managed to get 2 endings so far but I can guess think of the order of events I'll need to follow to get the last one, only thing I'm missing is figuring out where to use one of the items, but the fact that I know what to do once I figure that out goes to show you did a good job making it flow nicely.

archimagus 2018-12-05 04:33

I love these escape the room type games. Even though they usually boil down to just click everything on everything else. Some of the stuff was pretty intuitive and others, like what to sacrifice was just try everything on every face. The art was really well done and the sounds were nice and not annoying, which is asking a lot for game jam games. I don't like the fact that the game suddenly ended with the one thing (don't want to spoil it). Overall it feels like a lot of work went into this, so great job. I really liked it.

joh 2018-12-05 06:24

Way too polished, like wow, felt like the real deal. incorporated the theme well, I was trying to be smart about things but I did end up spamming a bit. I'll admit, I feel I got a sudden end too was a very nice experience and I might try another one (yeah i felt robbed a bit, but the ending did have a point, i dont know why i did that.) Things work well, it is beautiful, great sound well thought gameplay, im not even a point & click person and I had a good time. Great Job!

sargonius 2018-12-05 06:27

Sadly, I failed to unlock the door with code :( But this was the best LD entry I saw and really interesting to play. It's also very polished. But I wish that code puzzle were easier :(

harark 2018-12-05 06:27

Great entry! I usually don't like point and click-games, but this one struck a nice balance between obscure and logical puzzles. I think I encountered the same ending as Archimagus above, and I agree. It was a bit sudden. Didn't have the energy to jump through the hoops to discover the other endings, which is a shame.

The error-sound when entering the wrong combination was a bit loud for me.

fireslash 2018-12-05 06:38

The inventory combination system really threw me for a loop a few times.

But wow, everything else here is solid. Good writing, standard point and click implementation, multiple endings. The works.

If I had to complain, the lack of a save feature makes some of the joke endings a bit rough. We all knew I was going to end the world with delicious candy...

Really though, amazing work!

matank 2018-12-05 06:49

Really cool! Visually it looked amazing for a 72 hour game! I liked the mechanic, the story was great, and it was really awesome that you included the journal and the brochure. I did get stuck eventually (I got the ritual items for all the gods I had in the wheel except for the one that looks sort of like a bear). Would be nice if you could included a tutorial/walkthrough so I could go past the part where I was stuck.

Great game!

arzi 2018-12-06 13:26

I have to say I absolutely loved the game but unfortunately wasn't able to complete it, because I couldn't figure out the code. The plaque above the cupboard didn't work after the first click, so I don't know if I missed some vital clue. I'm giving this overall 5/5 out of effort and because it's easily the best point and click adventure game I've seen in a Ludum Dare and adventure games are my favourite genre. I would have given a 5 for the story too, was there such a category. I think you probably should have left the code puzzle out, as it probably makes people quit an otherwise perfect game.

Also, there was no link to this page in the itch.io (latest version) page, which is probably costing you a ton of ratings.

evgeniya-zapolnova 2018-12-06 20:45

I like how this game looks! Amazing graphics and good sound. I would like to watch a video because I haven't finished it (I don't like to thing while playing) but I really wish to know what happens next.

kornel-meszaros 2018-12-06 20:59

Nice entry! This game left me speechless. You made it in 72 hours? I'm amazed. Art is fine but all systems working (tried the patched version). The code puzzle was hard but when I found the solution I was like "OMG this is so clever!". Thank you for the game, I recommend! :)

Cool adventure game, liked the puzzles though there was quite a bit to read up front to find out about the gods so you could figure them out. Could be nicer if the reading and the other gameplay was paced so that there was a more even mix of both. Also item combining would've been better with drag and drop. Still a nice experience!

lexyvil 2018-12-08 02:34

Very fun game! I spent well over an hour figuring things out. I was absorbed by a candy, and then saved by Baldr. I'm tempted to try and get that third ending I couldn't find yet~

One of my favourite aspect as a musician was the change in the mood in the song for each time a stone piece was found. Amazing detail!

acaral 2018-12-08 08:44

Graphics artist did a solid work. In 72H it's very consequent

pablodap 2018-12-08 21:39

Wow, you managed to create a small adventure game in just 72! Pretty interesting to discover all three endings and cute graphics, although I'd wish in-game Zoe would look more like the one from the menu.

babyking 2018-12-09 05:56

I'm going to need to give this another go in the future as I couldn't figure out all of the combos, but I did go in sort of blind without knowing much about the gods depicted on the different pie pieces. I unfortunately skipped some of the intro text, it would be nice to have information peppered throughout the game. Maybe when you pick up a piece of the god pie the character says something? Overall a very solid entry, thank you so much for sharing your work!!

terryg 2018-12-10 04:34

Very fun. I got to ending A. (Loved the easter egg :) ) You guys did a fantastic job. Just...wow.

mattwagar 2018-12-13 08:05

I loved it! I got the gummy bear ending :D

sheldonzs 2018-12-14 02:10

Thank you, everyone, for all of your wonderful feedback. I have attempted to incorporate most of the suggestions you all have provided.

@bubblewandgames, @babyking, @terryg, and @mattwagar, there is now a walkthrough available if you would like to go back and discover the remaining ending(s). https://www.instagram.com/p/BrWYXBulNpY/

@archimagus, @joh, @hakar, and @fireslash, sorry for the abrupt ending. We actually only got those in literally minutes before the submission deadline. We have since added a short transition for each ending to go between making the final sacrifice and the ending screen. Also, you can now continue your game from the main menu so you don't have to redo the whole game to get the remaining endings!

@sargonius, @matank, and @arzi, the code seems to be the most common place where users have gotten stuck. There is now a walkthrough available which includes hints as to where all the parts of the code are, and the code itself on the next page. Also, we apologize that the top half of the plaque above the desk was not in the hitbox for that hint, we made the game to accommodate a 16:10 ratio, but did most of the work in 16:9, so we missed the top part! https://www.instagram.com/p/BrWYXBulNpY/

@hectigo, unfortunately, we couldn't really incorporate the feedback you have provided. The journal and brochure need to be available for reference at any time, so spreading out the reading must be done on the user end. Also, while a drag and drop system would make some sense, since everything was creating using unity buttons, it would have been a lot of work to code in for a relatively small improvement, which we did not have had time for in the 72 hour timeframe. Also, drag and drop would have been problematic for a multi-page inventory. Sorry we couldn't implement your suggestions, but thank you for the feedback.

@pablodap, thank you for the feedback. Since the title picture was created by a different artist than the character animator, the style of these two art pieces different, so making them match would be impractical.

And once again, to everyone, thank you for taking the time to play our game!

randomphantom 2018-12-16 14:10

Wow. This was amazing stuff! I'd say that there is a little bit of the usual point and click sins (moderate pixel hunting, the try anything on everything gameplay, accidentally combining items and losing use of an item) but overall each of the items' use was made great sense given the lore - which was again a very strong point in this entry, as I was totally sold on the idea of a Polypantheon and the notes on each of the Gods was great work. Managed to solve the code for the room. Managed to make it to one of the endings although I think I missed out on one God. Really great job on the graphics, but I'd like to especially highlight the excellent adaptive soundtrack. Impressive work in 72h. Thoroughly enjoyed it and great fun.

bart-huylebroeck 2018-12-17 05:34

super polished, very beautiful. The puzzles were very logical. I found endings A and C by myself, needed the walkthrough for ending B. I found the code after a few tries. The only thing I liked a little bit less was that finding shards was a little bit like pixel hunting, even though I did find all shards in the end. I loved the art and the music! The writing was also very good.

miziziziz 2018-12-18 03:41

wow this was incredible! Great entry, I managed to stumble my way through the puzzles and got the good ending, then used the walkthrough for the other endings. Really high quality work

coatline 2018-12-19 15:44

This is a great game! Very polished and the puzzles were not too easy and not too hard. I had a lot of fun with this one. Great work!

devilqube 2018-12-19 21:27

Nice, looks and plays great, I end up using the walk through was was handy, not sure why but i was stuck somewhere and failed to get the door code.

autumn-schutt 2018-12-21 22:09

The game was really fun to play! It was a bit frustrating at times when I couldn't figure out what to do next but I really loved it! There was a lot of attention to detail which made it very fun!

verysoftwares 2018-12-22 13:43

very comprehensive adventure game. good theming around the gods.

honey 2018-12-22 18:34

Very nice game, nice idea with the textbooks about the goods helping you through the game!

kamekai 2018-12-23 05:09

I enjoyed myself. The art was great, the music was chill though the looping could have been done better. I occasionally would get stuck and have to reset. Puzzle-wise, it was engaging and had an interesting central concept built around finding items to make sacrifices to, however in practice it fell into the typical adventure game trope of me sometimes just spamming every item on the alter hoping it would work.

Overall, quite a good effort and I look forward to seeing what you guys make in the future :)
