LD42 — Running out of space

Backpack packer by dollarone 2018-08-24T23:29:33Z

Woo! I did it! Congrats, it's very simple but quite challenging. It fits the theme perfectly. Didit.png

Kingdoms Fall by LandoSystems 2018-08-15T03:10:12Z

Pretty neat for a turn-base strategy game~ I was slowly losing with the enemy leaning towards my castle as the pieces fell. It shows the AI is quite good.

Wall Press by johnnwfs 2018-08-21T06:42:25Z

Neat game! My only complaints are how excruciating it can be to switch from WASD+Control to the mouse right away when it comes to using bombs. And moving around is a bit hard with how sensitive it is. But aside from that, it does fit the theme~

BALL BUSTERS by tedbolt 2018-08-22T01:04:07Z

The game is very unique, never had I saw a reversed brick breaker where you're against the bat. I do agree with @maksime about the controls though, for a game that only uses the keyboard, having a fire button is comfier on the left side of the movement keys. Maybe having the arrow keys as another option to control the character would be good~

So far the game is hard, which I like. Haven't beaten the bat yet~

BALL BUSTERS by tedbolt 2018-08-22T05:33:51Z

@tedbolt Sorry, I couldn't win it after nearly half an hour. A suggestion I could give to make it somewhat easier is to increase the stun time of the bat with each hit, as it always seem to catch the ball. The difficulty is definitely 4.5/5 or 5/5 for me though~

From Hell by bog13 2018-08-24T22:40:57Z

Fun game! I couldn't beat the hard level. I love how each stage had their own song, and the slow fall added to the challenge. It was fun, and the only annoyance I had with it was how you always were forced to read the stage's name after each death before moving again. For a game that has you die a lot, it would've felt nice being able to play the moment right after dying. Took me about 10-15 mins to finish~

Qix by alobker 2018-08-14T10:26:03Z

Fun game~ It's sometimes slow but I think it's due to my laptop. I've played something of the like a long time ago.

You Are God by goudagames 2018-08-26T00:14:00Z

A population of 1,442 on my third attempt. Very high replayability, which makes this in my top games, with how each round has a random map! Great game~ It gets exponentially harder as time goes on I feel like, which makes it seem like it's impossible to fill the whole map with houses, but I know that's how it was intended to be though. Having a lot of fun with this one. I just don't know what the Miraculous sign does yet, since it doesn't seem like it changes the attractiveness of tiles.

Edit: Over 2k population!... New record? The game started lagging at this point.

laggy.png

The lag is the only negative I can think of, which in itself isn't bad at all.

Literally by batmanasb 2018-08-21T07:42:23Z

I somehow spent over an hour finishing this, so good job on making this addicting, haha. Getting into the middle of the brown planet was tricky, and the square planet should have been the last as I had trouble with that one. Couldn't land on "Fin" though.

lovethis.png

All The Things! by Snowdrama 2018-08-14T04:09:46Z

Quite original. I got to the point where I had to rush to get the third room installed a few times, before having a game over.

Aura by Papaver 2018-08-29T05:26:08Z

This game fits the theme perfectly! I got to the last day/level, and it kept going on forever, so I'm assuming there's no easter egg? This was fun and very innovative, I'll give you that~ And the audio/sounds count as funny in book.

Ultimate Heat Death by croze 2018-08-25T00:20:13Z

Fun game, the jetpack was my favourite aspect of it. It's easy to navigate around despite the climbing being a bit clunky. I'm not sure if I reached the end, but ended up getting into the yellow area to the far right~

EVOLUTION by Noa Calice 2018-08-21T05:59:51Z

Amazing game! It makes me wish there was a challenge, but the progression to a dead planet really enhances the mood.

Cave Dwellers by Cheesey Bob 2018-08-26T00:56:22Z

I'd like to give this a try and rate it, but how do I run this without any .exe file?

Cave Dwellers by Cheesey Bob 2018-08-26T21:55:41Z

This is a fun and interesting puzzle game! It does get hard rather quick, as each level is a breeze and I get stuck on this one level for over 20 minutes.

hard.png

I feel like I've done every combination but I keep getting a population of either 7 or 8, when I need 9. Not that it's a bad thing, since I do love myself a challenge. 5/5 for the theme and as well for fun though~

Metal Gear Noah by Dizzy Dalvin 2018-08-24T21:48:01Z

That looks very promising! I had a hard time knowing how the bot could've helped and what I could do with fallen trees. I have to rate based on the first submission, sadly, since the post-ludum version seems like it improved upon it. I'll try it out as well~

Defrag by Guillaume Gomez 2018-08-14T10:19:47Z

Despite having only having a few levels, it was a good 5 minutes of my time. I died at least once in each stage. My favourite aspect is how the floor is curvy, and that doors can teleport you on different layers. I'm surprised you've done this much in just over week without knowing how to use Unity beforehand~

Just Balloon: Move or Lose edition 3 by zeu31 2018-08-24T23:17:50Z

Simple, yet a very fun, and addicting game! I couldn't beat my high score after a while. I ended up spending 20 to 30 minutes on it.

Balloon.png

The skeletons took my boat by smiley 2018-08-15T23:34:19Z

Yay! Finished it! Neat little game~ The voice acting is funny, and I love how it feels shooting at those bats and skeletons. It was rather easy, and it lagged when there was a lot of entities on the screen, but it left a good lasting expression.

In terms of the theme, I still had a lot of space to move around in, despite the darkness area growing.

Populists Land Use Simulator by JulianMH 2018-08-24T23:54:01Z

Fun game, I love how fast each month goes by, which forces you to act right away. It fits the theme well too when there's no more space to build~ I managed to be elected for 6 years.

6years.png

Dear Leader's Diet Plan by Historymaker118 2018-08-22T05:30:24Z

The concept alone is hilarious, haha. The levels getting smaller fits the theme as well, and I can't find any flaw with the audio~

Vita Magicae by Anuke 2018-08-26T00:51:24Z

It's a 5/5 for fun, for me, as a major fan of bullet hell games! The music, mood and graphics were amazing, and I really couldn't find any flaw for this one. I only had one death, which was during the tentacle boss at the end~

VOXSOLAR by geekdrums 2018-08-21T06:14:48Z

Really loved the audio in this! And the gameplay was addicting. I only got slightly stuck in level 4 or 5, but it's definitely addicting.

Space Opera by t-mw 2018-08-24T22:03:25Z

Love the concept! I had a bit of trouble in the last level, which took me about 10 minutes and was my right kind of challenge, but there was this buzzing sound at times. I love how it also had to do with reflexes. It fits the theme too with how it took a few tries due to having notes in the way.

Digital Abyss by TwinGhosts 2018-08-16T00:22:54Z

Amazing game! Quite challenging too. It's still one I want to come back to and finish, as I couldn't finish the second level. If I have one suggestion, it's to remove the need to re-read the dialogue after the first death in a stage, as dying a lot is what I've been experiencing~

I rate it 5/5 for the theme.

Tunnel Racer by ctrble 2018-08-22T05:38:54Z

Fun game! I just wish it was longer and the speed incremented slower. It really reminded me of the old times I played Star Fox and I had to avoid metal obstacles.

The Kessler Problem by catbutt 2018-08-14T05:20:00Z

Second place with a score of 47! Very original game, and it really fits the theme too. There's a lot of replayability when it comes to figuring out the best distance and angles to avoid collisions.

Fast Grow by Minord 2018-08-15T04:23:05Z

Yeah, I get "!Done!" upon booting the game too.

Fast Grow by Minord 2018-08-15T06:52:10Z

Amazing game! I spent almost an hour getting to the end. The music and the art, as well as the gameplay, are great. Haven't found any bugs after the link got re-uploaded.

yay.png

Space Goats 2 by Tim Ruswick 2018-08-16T00:00:40Z

The humour and audio are the highlights for this one~ I can't say much for the gameplay, for how simple it is, but it's not bad.

Chambers by RemiCraft 2018-08-26T22:08:45Z

Interesting and creepy game. I got to a room with no more exits and happened to got stuck in it, and the creature didn't seem to chase me either. Love the mood of it~

Misadventures of Crowley Flatcheeks by detectiveLosos 2018-08-25T23:50:54Z

Very fun game! And unique too. I escaped just in time with easy pit, as his area started to fly away just at the end. I really loved the 2D and 3D blend, and the concept of the planet breaking apart.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-15T07:35:50Z

The game is very addicting. I love how the shape of the bases are random with each playthrough, as it adds a lot of replayability. One of my favourite aspects has to be the music too, as it's catchy. I can tell a lot of effort was put into this one~

TriSpace by gtrogers 2018-08-21T20:25:12Z

Just finished it! I love the concept of switching between ships to do certain tasks. The only time I had difficulty was in the last stage, with the narrow space between a wall and bullets. It also felt like the tutorial was longer than the game itself, but it was still fun at least~

Consensual Love in a Dungeon (NSFW) by darefus 2018-08-21T20:40:45Z

Now this is the kind of game I didn't know I needed! Love the kink of it, and I still don't think I saw all the possibilities after half an hour. It's lengthy and the humour is the highlight~

I just love how the theme is incorporated and how the fourth wall is broken to acknowledge that, and the red-robed worshiper dudes are amazingly hilarious.

Ant Factory by Pavel Smejkal 2018-08-15T21:29:23Z

This game fits the theme perfectly, I failed the third level a few times from lack of space. It really forces you to sell all the plants to afford making the higher tier plant, and to help you focus on removing the items that take room. The pathfinding for the ants is really efficient in this. I had a lot of fun with this one~ It's one of those games I wished had more levels after completing it, as I was engrossed in the gameplay.

cargOS by tigerj 2018-08-21T05:36:18Z

Interesting game, it fits perfectly with the theme~ It indeed gets stressful when the space fills up, knowing the belt comes in faster than you can put the boxes.

Also not sure if it's a bug, but on my second round, I got a box stuck on the conveyor belt that I couldn't pick up. conveyer.png

Void Era by Timbelion 2018-08-21T20:10:26Z

Interesting game, but it feels unfinished. It's more of test to see how longer your finger can last, haha. I thought there'd be more after the 200k score, but I discovered there wasn't any other stat boost and that the difficulty stopped ramping up. The artstyle is the highlight for me.

ouch.png

It's really an endurance game in that case, as my hand started hurting~ It makes me wish there was a slight autofire.

Junk Dealerz by Lodugh 2018-08-21T20:57:26Z

Really love the variety of items in it! I can see this becoming greater and more polished, with how fun it is scavenge and trading and surviving from hunger. I also really loved the animation at the beginning~

A Strange Sinking Feeling by Ratstail91 2018-08-15T02:58:20Z

How do I play it? The link seems to bring me to the information document rather than the download.

A Strange Sinking Feeling by Ratstail91 2018-08-15T03:17:11Z

@ratstail91 Oh haha, I see. This is my fault, I should have read into it more. That's actually interesting, as I didn't know people could publish non-digital games on here~

Crowdy Planet by arche-san 2018-08-24T01:05:30Z

Very fun game! I always loved the concept of evolution in games in which the traits pass on to the next generation. I toyed with it until I finished it twice, that is if the planet reappears in its big form a few times is considered the end goal.

Space Jack by neurobomber 2018-08-14T04:56:18Z

Neat game! I love how fidget spinners are still a thing in space.

Anxiety by TontonPizza 2018-08-14T04:45:49Z

Quite simple and interesting! I got to the end without anything bad happening, and had to try again to see if it was possible to die from those beings in the dark. The words going across her mind was a neat addition to the creepy factor.

PostoBot by Kyllax 2018-08-14T10:39:28Z

Very fun game~ High replayability, too. I only wish that the music had more variety. Got as high as 380 points on Level 3. It fits the theme perfectly!

Grimder by CraigDuth 2018-08-14T03:58:50Z

It somewhat got repetitive after a time, but I overall liked it. The cause of death for some were funny.

Growth Rates by kalcoslinder 2018-08-24T23:35:54Z

Interesting game! I never saw one like it with that concept. It was fun but very short, and it may not fit the theme, but if there were many more levels, better visuals and more ways to play around the game's mechanic, it'd probably be an amazing puzzle game~ Definitely a 5/5 innovation and 4/5 fun for this one, despite how short and easy it is.

Get Off My Boat, You! by Eric Kulbiej 2018-08-25T23:26:56Z

Neat game! I got up to 376 points. The highlight for me for this game is the steering mechanic and the paper-drawn-like artstyle. It took me a while to realize I was actually killing the people that were in front of the boat, which gave extra points, haha.

Space To Breathe by kirb 2018-08-21T06:33:43Z

Lots of constant shooting for air, but that alone is quite a unique concept! The song during the level is really tense too, it fits the mood a lot. It was short, but fun~ It makes me wish there was more to it.

Foggy raft by dimlight 2018-08-15T05:16:18Z

Definitely one that was worth trying! I had trouble figuring how to move my raft around. It only took a few minutes to realize I had to use the wood already build onto the raft. I finished the game on my fourth round~ The graphics, gameplay and the music are the highlight for me.

Space Invasion by Nam Nguyen 2018-08-22T09:07:14Z

The gameplay really fits the theme! And the music is catchy~ I haven't found any flaw while playing, other than finding narrow passageways near spikes hard to get into, but that's just my typical need to die and improve. The fact you can manipulate where to put platforms is the highlight.

Data Strain by Nikyaer 2018-08-15T04:48:42Z

Pretty awesome game! The graphics and the music is amazing, and hitting those blocks is quite addicting. I had 4008KB. The only issue had was being stuck on the game over screen.

Into the Light by Naemis 2018-08-15T03:26:07Z

This was interesting. I thought I had to follow the light initially, but I realized it's where the enemies spawned at. The music, art and ambience was really captivating, and as for the gameplay, not too easy nor too hard. I got up to Wave 4~

Floodtown by Sita 2018-08-25T00:08:44Z

This looks interesting, though I'm not sure how to run it. Upon unzipping it, I don't have any .exe file.

Floodtown by Sita 2018-08-29T05:00:33Z

Interesting game~ Got up to 7693, it's quite hard to know what's going on right off the bat but it does make sense after the first few rounds. I love the random layouts too, as it adds replayability.

Bunnymark by Azumin 2018-08-22T03:51:40Z

Neat game~ Rather too easy or too hard depending on how you start at the beginning. It actually took me a while before realize I had to click a bunny before transforming it to any other type of bunny with the buttons at the bottom.

Roomy's Party by Lexyvil 2018-08-14T04:16:09Z

@syrapt0r Thanks for the feedback! I managed to change that just in time before the deadline.

Roomy's Party by Lexyvil 2018-08-14T04:28:16Z

Adding less randomness sounds like a plan.

Roomy's Party by Lexyvil 2018-08-15T04:26:37Z

@nikyaer Thanks for the feedback! I'll add instructions in the game's Itch page since it does look like there's more to just moving around when there really isn't.

Roomy's Party by Lexyvil 2018-08-21T19:21:20Z

@timbelion Thanks for the feedback!

@gtrogers Glad you enjoyed it! I've been thinking of enhancing the gameplay after the playtest phase is done on here.

@jern Haha yeah, a shoving mechanic has been suggested before, no doubt I'll add that. Someone even gave me the idea of having the ability to hit people with a bat, which sounds like the perfect tool. Thanks for trying!

Roomy's Party by Lexyvil 2018-08-26T01:28:54Z

@batmanasb Thanks for trying and the suggestion~ And I do intend on changing the size of the hitbox and to also ensure that it's detected only if the player shares a similar Z-level. I'll upload a post LD version with that soon.

@bog13 @rodrigo-molina @eric-kulbiej Thank you for trying!

Space is running out of space by DarkGuardsman 2018-08-15T03:52:19Z

The idea of cleaning space is interesting, but the movements are very slow. From that, I assumed it was more of a simulator of sorts, but then again it makes sense for how it's in space.

Stuck! by chkkll 2018-08-26T00:31:28Z

The concept is awesome and hilarious. 4/5 for the humour for that. Can't help but love how it's one casual guy vs some 100+ office workers, and the casual guy is the only one aware of that war. 5/5 for the theme, and for the graphics. I love how you didn't bother adding eyes to these people, since it adds to the quirkiness. The fact you made this alone in such a short time is amazing!

The Climb by Laughertes 2018-08-21T06:23:34Z

The top down 3D feel is a neat touch, with each climbed blocks~ It's the first game of the like that I've played, and it fits the theme too, nice job!

Tile League by do the dog.avc 2018-08-14T05:07:43Z

Love the concept! The only issue is that I had no one to play with, haha. I'm definitely keeping it to try again, it sounds like it'd be addicting if improved upon. Take note of the first comment with how great it'd be on the switch~

Little Planet by PlanetGames 2018-08-15T02:55:01Z

Neat little game! I only got as far as trying to survive with four asteroids coming in. I'll just note that there was a bug where one of the turrets looked bigger than the others and missing its rotating cannon part, and my player vanished.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Santa on Skis by Zathnic 2018-12-06T08:03:20Z

Fun game! It fits the sacrifice theme perfectly with how there's no way you can do a run without hitting at least one obstacle My highest score is 2218.

Score.png

Is that amount of doors for one building lucky?

Assault on The Sacrificial Humans by exilegl 2018-12-06T01:19:16Z

I won it~

Fun game. It's kind of easy when you know that the path the enemies take is simple, but I did lose the first playthrough. It really helped how I could sell my old turrets at full price. I also thought I'd run out of humans before the game ended, but it makes that it couldn't happen.

[ 66 DOWN ] by iseeicy 2018-12-05T04:10:59Z

Very interesting game! I rated it despite not playing it because I'm not a streamer, but I did for the fact I participated as one of the sacrifices. Super original for a LD game!

Jesus Take the Wheel by PeachTreeOath 2018-12-05T06:06:19Z

Love the concept and humour, haha. The gameplay's fun too!

Reap what you sow by ursagames 2018-12-08T03:04:47Z

Neat little game! It's difficult too, but maybe I just had bad luck or wasn't sacrificing to the gods: pirates stealing 12 crops, then later on vikings stealing around as much. I love the 3D sprites~

Roustabout by bitdecay 2018-12-06T05:18:18Z

I got the end~ I had fun. It felt like I was playing Tetris, and there were times I felt I wasn't going to be able to move all those pianos on time on the second level, so that much added to the challenge. It makes me wonder if the rats infest at random or always the same item in the level. I didn't have to skip/sacrifice any object at least, otherwise I'd rate it higher on the theme. But good game!

Pirates may Cry by themarioga 2018-12-05T01:46:14Z

The game crashed on me by the end, so I couldn't tell if there was a scoring system. If the number of choices you made counts for the score, I think I did alright~

It's the kind of game that plays itself and you make choices at times, which isn't bad, but I do wish there was more to do between each prompt. I lasted long enough until the song stopped playing. The art was cute, and some of the choices added humour. Good work~

BloodTrail by kruemelkeksfan 2018-12-05T02:03:50Z

The visuals are pretty neat! It bugged on my end where I could click the "attack" button outside of battle. I kind of wish I could've seen how it would've turn out if you guys hare more time. Good job nonetheless!

Cultist Crusade by NoNiMad 2018-12-06T03:37:39Z

Fun little game, I think it just needed a quit button and in-game help on how to control the minions~

It really showed how it felt being overpowered, and that breeze was refreshing. I love the concept of controlling an army that spawns fast, and the theme fits perfectly.

Zoe and the Polypantheon by Carraka 2018-12-08T02:34:42Z

Very fun game! I spent well over an hour figuring things out. I was absorbed by a candy, and then saved by Baldr. I'm tempted to try and get that third ending I couldn't find yet~

One of my favourite aspect as a musician was the change in the mood in the song for each time a stone piece was found. Amazing detail!

Documentia by Pandanym 2018-12-06T05:56:08Z

This game is amazing! I always love the concept of interacting with files outside the game to change outcomes. I had one of the endings (Deleting everyone but me, I assume it's the most basic ending?), and it's one of those games I'd definitely come back to try to find another. If there's any improvement I wish for, is for a faster walking speed. Aside from that, it's one of the best entries I've seen for this LD.

Documentia by Pandanym 2018-12-06T06:03:42Z

@pandanym Yeah, I deleted everyone but the "Player" and the Glitch. I had a few popups appear when rebooting the game, kind of wish I took a screenshot, but it didn't matter after the prompt since the game still worked well afterwards anyway. The only actual bug I found was seeing ''missing_string'' in a dialogue box at one point when talking to the farmer/Christian.

Ho Ho Hold Up by SeanW 2018-12-05T03:42:38Z

Haha, that was dark. The gameplay may have been repetitive, but the mood and theme is definitely 4.5 or 5/5 from me. I feel like I became more of an evil person from all the loss of these poor elves.

Night of the BloodMoon by erebus 2018-12-05T01:32:14Z

I died against the boss twice, not sure how close I was to beating him, but it was fun. The aspect of killing/sacrificing people to gain magic (?) is a pretty neat idea, and it does fit the theme. I like how the player has a hood too. Good work~

Gnome Man's Sky by Tim Ruswick 2018-12-05T07:38:23Z

Great game! Much better than your last LD entry. It's the only Jam so far that I've spent almost an hour playing, which says something~

Somehow I got stuck where I couldn't get shrooms anymore. It makes me wonder if that's intentional.

Suicide Rabbits by m3rcurial92 2018-12-05T02:17:51Z

Neat game! It had a little too much trial and error for my taste, but the cute art and the good peaceful music made it easier to bear through.

I love the detail of seeing your fellow bunnies before you control them, and it really fits the theme how their sacrifices helps show which area to avoid. Great work for your first LD!

Ludum Dare: The Game by Darylsteak 2018-12-06T04:01:02Z

Awesome game, and it's very accurate. Not only did I have to make a game about sacrifices, but I sacrificed spending time with relatives and other life events to enjoy this game making challenge.

From this, I think I learned not to ignore taking breaks from jams~

Lava Luva by mcovert 2018-12-06T07:47:05Z

Fun game! I love the concept. It was easier than I thought, and it's one game I hope to see enhanced upon~

Elemental Storm by BenBurgh 2018-12-05T03:27:20Z

Fun game! My favourite aspect is the blend between the 2D and 3D art, and how you had to avoid the latter only. Great job for a compo! Neat audio detail too, how it gets quieter in the end.

Battery Blitz by CeeJap 2018-12-06T01:38:11Z

Love how simple it is. It took me a while to understand why I needed the blue ones--they helped slow down the game. I had 724 points on my second try~

Quest for the West by tigerj 2018-12-08T03:21:15Z

Fun game this time around~ I found it more immersive than your last entry. I love the variation and the luck involved. I didn't lose a lot of members in the end, except children, so I can't tell if I got lucky or if it's normal it's that easy. I loved how the pigs were the ones pulling the carts too, haha.

Altar by Elnu 2018-12-05T04:22:43Z

Neat game~ It took me a while to realize I could pick more than one spider at a time. The sprites are very well drawn too! I couldn't finish it from not being able to find the last altar, kind of wish there directions could be shown, but the combat was interesting~

The Sacrificial Adventurer by Lexyvil 2018-12-05T05:41:21Z

Thanks for the feedback!

@shieldgenerator7 There actually is another way to reach the goal without sacrificing the jump on the first sacrifice~

The Sacrificial Adventurer by Lexyvil 2018-12-06T04:44:12Z

@eriku Thanks for your thoughts! Sorry if felt frustrating at times as the level designs were made last minute. I might remove some of the falling rocks to get a better handling.

Skeleton Key by Zigg 2018-12-09T01:07:59Z

It took me a while to figure out the parts I was sacrificing my arm or legs for were the levers, but then I knew what I had to do. I only got stuck once and had to restart after sacrificing my legs. From that, the game felt easy. I still like how unique of an experience it was~

The concept is interesting, the art was pretty and did set the mood right, and the theme fit perfectly.

Oblatio by Trusty 2018-12-08T01:25:46Z

It was somewhat on the repetitive side and the feeding animation took time, but it's quite the relaxing game. It took me until just before the end to realize the animals were exploding in death. The environmental art looked nice, and the sheep were huge in a good way~

A Heightened Plight by AstroPenguin642 2018-12-06T00:55:15Z

This is really fun, and fits the theme perfectly! I tried it three times, and the highest I had was saving 60% of my family. It succeeds in adding stress, and I love how each playthrough is random--it's good replay value.

The humour is good too, how family members can die of hunger or thirst as they fall.

Fire and Atlas by irock 2018-12-05T02:38:04Z

I really love how moving around makes you just plop there. The game is fun~

Though it does get somewhat long backtracking often to re-check some of the areas. I would've love having a timer to make it challenge, but the fact there's none also makes it a relaxing game, which I enjoyed. The art is for sure my favourite aspect, and the gameplay is very innovative. It has a potential to be greater if more gameplay mechanics were added.

LD44 — Your life is currency

The Battle for Slime King on Slime Mountain by MrTroy 2019-05-02T05:11:38Z

21 Wins and 1 Loss~ On the leaderboard for red team. I wonder if I got lucky with my team or if it's made to be that easy. Fun game though!

The Adventures Of by Kappa.B 2019-05-07T06:32:19Z

Really love the font used when naming the captain~ The USS Coffee part reminded me a lot of Mr Coffee from Spaceballs. Good on humour too. It took me a bit of time to realize how to shoot (that G was for the guns), and I found it odd that I couldn't shoot at certain angles, but still pretty impressive game for a weekend!

Yen Master by LeviDSmith 2019-05-02T06:18:10Z

Interesting game, I made it up to level 6~ I realized that it's always best to start with Fire Rate or Move Speed first. The Orb upgrade is quite expensive for how it's expendable.

key, knife, flower. by LucasMolina 2019-05-21T00:04:02Z

I love this, it can be interpreted in many ways. At first, one may not have the courage to look an admirer in the eyes, then you have no choice but to rely on who you're with, and finally, one can't stand themselves after whichever pain they've been through with that person. That's how I see it. The intensity of the sound being the anxiety level is a nice touch.

Blood Currency by theviraldragon 2019-05-07T03:28:18Z

Never have I completed a first level so fast. It's unique in that regard! It may be short and linear, but immersive~ The art is good too.

Baby Benjamins by foolmoron 2019-05-07T04:12:31Z

I've seen a game very similar to this last Jam or the one before, except it involved the growth and mutation of certain blobs~

And holy Crep!

Holy Crep.png

I guess I reached the end of the game, I expected those two big things to form something even bigger. Very addicting game! I guess my life is currency for how it felt I've been clicking cash all my life.

Catch them all ! by sroelandt 2019-05-07T08:28:06Z

Fun little game, I just wish the instructions were a little more clear~ On my third playthrough I understood what I had to do though. It does get interesting when each square has different design, and I like what happens when you pick up the TNT ones. I had a score of -1520 at the end, it's quite hard, in a good way.

Would have been nice to have sound effects. Still pretty good for a compo game!

Battalia by Krassenstein 2019-04-30T09:58:31Z

Fun game, and a little on the easy side. I could spam enough at the beginning to win rather instantly. What I would have loved is a timer that shows how long it took me to finish it, at least to compare to others to played it~

Computers in a Nutshell by gonutz 2019-05-08T08:59:08Z

This seems interesting, but I'm already stuck. I'm not sure what it means by "Decrypt the file using this application with flag --decrypt-log". What does it mean by Flag?

Bartleby in Space by CarlsonAndPeeters 2019-05-02T05:41:10Z

Interesting game! I really loved the mood and the text, it made it worth getting to all the points aside from getting the items needed.

Idle Idol by Daniel Moreno 2019-05-05T05:08:27Z

Grats on making an addicting incremental game! 1000cult.png

Courage, My Knight by sparewizard 2019-05-05T07:55:30Z

Fun adventure game! I had up to 19 hearts by day 23. I guess in this case the hearts are stamina. I'm assuming there was nowhere to go beyond that point, since I still needed a few more to enter the Dragon's lair.

Seed. by AVAVT 2019-05-02T06:05:38Z

I lasted until 3500 AD... This game gave me an epiphany, realizing what we, as humans, do to our planet, despite me already knowing this. Amazing game! It makes me want to vote "Nature" for the next theme.

DEADline by SecretPocketCat 2019-05-07T07:44:26Z

Made it to the top of the leaderboard with 131~ Very original and fun game! It's quite addicting. The deadline feels like goes up faster in the end.

Spider Disaster by ytaha 2019-05-08T08:52:34Z

Really fun game! It makes me wish there was no limit on how many arms you can purchase, since I really wanted to make the enemies bleed more than just 5 blood value per second per hit. The enemies take too long to die late-game without that.

The crystal of life by dimesto52 2019-05-03T09:16:27Z

Concept seems interesting, though I can`t seem to turn 360 degrees, haha (In the Web version).

Ollo's Life by Memel06 2019-05-05T07:12:09Z

Loved the Gameboy style! Sadly, I couldn't move on from the rock puzzle.

GTApp - Great Tube App by Gaming Night 2019-05-07T03:10:16Z

Amazing concept, it really worries me what people can do on live streams, haha. I got stuck in a wall one time. Made it with $8,930~

Twitchlings by DocFallout 2019-05-01T22:32:47Z

Really neat idea! It makes wish there were more commands players could use to interact with the game, other than wait for money to spend it. But I'm not complaining, it's part of the theme~ We do need more games like this though, that unites viewers and have them play together. Good job!

Shibbal the Pig by KP_CFTSZ 2019-04-30T09:13:50Z

Quite a fun platformer. The instant-death spikes reminds me so much of Megaman. It makes me wonder if it matters losing coins if those spikes kill like that~ The gun really helps with the level with the holes, for sure.

Rashness by Saering 2019-05-05T07:38:58Z

Victor.png Did it first try! I had 3 points in Speed, 3 bullets instead of one, and decrease damage taken: With only 23 HP. Fun game, with multiple ways to play with the upgrades.

DISREGARD LIFE, ACQUIRE CURRENCY by notb 2019-05-05T07:31:09Z

Amazing graphics! It took me a while to understand that the sky was the map, with the blue small dot being the player. It's really unique.

Lifeforms In Space by Eric Smith 2019-05-07T02:58:58Z

Really fun game! I would love more games where it involves fleet battles that way. I wish there was a way to get more fleets since I lost all my fleets safe one, at the beginning, having to capture all the planets with that only one. Good use of the theme too~ Can't ever have enough crew.

Darkling by jordantanner 2019-05-04T23:57:15Z

Love your game! The difficulty is there. This is probably the hardest LD game I've played yet~ I could only ever get to wave #3. The only frustration I had was how it feels like enemies spawn right next to, or behind you. I somehow could only buy the first two upgrades, and sometimes the jump button wouldn't work, and I realized it's often best to stay on the ground for how vulnerable you are in the air--when I started falling in the air, and with no control, I kept hitting constant enemy projectiles.

Pixel's Villagers by gamedevkng 2019-05-20T23:54:56Z

Love the ambiance and the graphics! What could have really made it better is an improved camera system, where it got stuck a few times when I went close to walls, but everything else for one weekend is pretty amazing!

Chickenarchy by Thomas_Bringer 2019-05-09T22:47:44Z

Fun little game~ but I think I lost all my chickens when I panned the screen at one point. It still said I had 59 chickens despite not seeing all of them on screen at least. Finding all the NPCs in order is quite hard~

MoneyBag by Lexyvil 2019-04-30T22:27:39Z

Thank you for the feedbacks!

MoneyBag by Lexyvil 2019-05-19T08:38:40Z

Thank you all for playing!

Arrow of Light by sylvie 2019-05-07T07:00:12Z

One of my favourite LD entries! It felt complete, and the music really added to the mood. I didn't find it as hard as some claimed, but I did have a bit of a hard time finding where to go, like knowing there was a second secret wall in the flower area.

Yodin Defense by Neon Glass 2019-05-02T07:15:25Z

Great graphics, but the game is a bit too on the easy side for me~ The cost for Houses and Labs became higher than the maximum capacity of my currency, so there was no more way to build any anymore. And towers gave me many more warriors, making them higher than the maximum value I can own. The music was good too!

Screenshot_3.png

Rainbow Rampage - Twitch Overlay Game by Instafluff 2019-05-09T02:47:20Z

Had fun seeing it on the various streams! It's always refreshing when a game involves the chat. Instafluff used it at all times with the chroma key background, like it was meant to I believe~ Thank you both for trying my game (MoneyBag), too!

Let's make really bad life decisions... by FanManPro 2019-05-02T06:34:53Z

Quite a unique game. I'm surprised the first level was the hardest of them all. I find it odd that you can add torque to a coin by pushing the walls within without having friction from anything else but the coin itself.

The strange Life of Bill the postman by T-Bo 2019-05-07T03:19:18Z

Fun little game, 38 letters on Normal mode~ The music fit the mood very well!I'm assuming the letter distribution is random?

Deenero by Carlos Salazar 2019-05-07T07:18:18Z

The humour is probably the game's highlight for me. Though not perfect, I did chuckle slightly.

MoneyBag by Chameleon 2019-04-29T06:21:11Z

I just found out we both have the same name for our game this theme~ That's a first for me.

Super Basic Game Plus by Carbs 2019-05-04T23:19:34Z

Quite an addictive game, despite becoming easier as the game goes on. I really like the concept of increasing your max energy when picking up a battery at max charge. The controls are smooth too.

Angry Planet by grllle 2019-05-05T07:17:43Z

Interesting concept! Never seen one like it. The only thing I wish the game had was a way to zoom in a little, the colonists were rather small on my screen~

My Memories by Z_Doctor 2019-04-30T08:59:39Z

Fun game~ I just wish the path that required 80 of them didn't take so long to get. It's still pretty impressive how you got that done not long after adapting to Unreal Engine.

Blood and goods by selewi 2019-05-07T08:19:25Z

Fun game! And quite hard, too. The only improvement that would have made me enjoy it more would be to make the fade-in and fade-out of the gameover screen faster. With the amount of times I die, I would want to get back into the game straight away rather than having to wait~

Escape from Hell by Becher 2019-05-05T04:33:19Z

Really felt the Dark Souls vibe.

utsvulten by ditto 2019-04-30T09:22:40Z

Definitely amazing fun and mood, for me, despite not fitting the theme.

Meter Maid DX by No Grapes Games 2019-05-07T00:12:37Z

Interesting concept! Beat the two levels~

BetYourLife by JabbaScript 2019-05-05T04:38:06Z

I played it on PC and it assumed I used a Phone. I couldn't fully enjoy it alone, but given that it is a multiplayer game, it'd be a great alternative to a Rock Paper Scissors~

Crystal Castle by Kylazaur 2019-04-30T09:50:17Z

Fun little game. My favourite aspect was the music, and everything else was good, despite the easy difficulty and how short the game is~

LD45 — Start with nothing

The drop to the top by jk5000 2019-10-17T06:25:14Z

I kind of wish it showed the height value of your stack so I could compete with myself over multiple games, since I didn't have someone to play it with, but it's great to know it's a multiplayer game! The graphics are good and the physics work well.

Edge of Twilight by OccultOne 2019-10-25T19:33:24Z

A very difficult game, in that I've no choice but destroy a building at the start of the game to begin with resources, so it's already a sacrifice that has to be made. It took me a few playthroughs to fully understand how to play, but once I got it, it's entertaining~ I seem to always have trouble after the 5th day, either my population is too happy or I don't have enough energy production. What's amazing are the few game modes that got implemented too. It's one of those game I'd keep trying until I get to the end successfully. After a gameover, I realized that I couldn't click "Restart" with left click, but had to right click it.

Edge of Twilight by OccultOne 2019-10-25T20:30:54Z

Also curious, I noticed that even if I don't have enough power, I can still turn the power back on in some buildings. Do they still get affected?

Draconomics by CyberStarLight 2019-10-20T04:30:29Z

Fun game, but I had to throw in the towel at half a million for how long it took to get there, it would have been better I think to achieve for 500k~

Void/Entropy by Tygrak 2019-10-17T02:13:57Z

I got Touhou vibes from playing this~ The audio aspect I think could have been better, but it was fun. Is it normal that the song's pitch gets lower with each death? And is there a pause button?

SOMtHINGa from NoThINGa by Jimbly 2019-10-19T00:24:07Z

Fun puzzle game! It's all math in the end. It's still hard to wrap my head around how to solve some of the levels, in a good way.

Area 45 by conk 2019-10-17T00:14:31Z

This sort of game was expected, haha. I wasn't sure how I could initiate rage, or when I could summon some gunman to help protect me at saving the world.

World Collector by Joe Williamson 2019-10-17T07:35:46Z

Amazing concept, I'd love to see a full fledged game like this! The song sounded a little like Carol of the Bells song, which felt a bit odd, but that aside, it was a lot of fun.

Null Blob by uvwar 2019-10-28T07:17:05Z

Love the jiggly animation. A neat little toy that I spent a good two minute on~

MeebÜ WeebÜ by saucygames 2019-10-17T05:04:06Z

I couldn't find the pond, so I had to give up. The visuals and music was alluring. Good work on making all these 3D models in a weekend!

Bob by Flaterectomy 2019-10-20T18:24:43Z

That was surprisingly addicting! I really love how the radio's just there at the start (and how it serves a purpose). There was nothing but fish in the water for a while at the end, but that's the beauty of simulating being patient when adrift. I'd really love an extended version of a game like this.

Raft.png

Nothing Box by guckstift 2019-10-20T20:33:10Z

I love games like these where you can experience it better the more features you unlock. Very relaxing game, it fits the theme well!

The Kidnapping by aemiliu5 2019-10-28T07:10:35Z

Was the sprite Link from Minish Cap? Interesting concept, though I'll admit I was stuck redoing the beginning of the game a few times without knowing exactly where to hide. It would have been easier to skip the intro after the first time~

LooPatHero by Finlal 2019-10-27T11:58:22Z

Unique game. Well done!

LooPatHero by Finlal 2019-10-27T13:09:34Z

I beat the final boss I think, but then the game froze during his dying animation:

ded.png

FUTHARK by dikkop 2019-10-19T00:09:31Z

Fun and cute little game! My girlfriend was playing and she clicked "Ragnarok" without knowing its meaning and she was sad seeing her little world blown up.

Untitled Ghost Game by mgoadric 2019-10-28T07:28:13Z

Cute little game! It took me a little while to find the keys, as to me they initially looked like some yellow plushy.

Terminal Reset by fusionnist 2019-10-17T07:53:37Z

I had fun with this one, I really love how you face a challenge for each upgrade. Those two red blob faces were the most challenging, but in a good way. Also I'm glad to see other Monogame users on here. The only bug I found was that I spawned at the end of the level when the game restarts after finishing it.

freedom!.png

Tabula Rasa by Dis0rder 2019-10-18T23:59:42Z

I love the creepy aspect at the beginning, it reminded me a lot of MYST with some of the still images. I obtained all the shards after dying 5 times~ I'm not sure where I had to go once the screen turned red. The only thing I think could improve is the sound effect from pressing the keys, since it's easier to move around while tapping.

Higher Desire by ColeSlaughter 2019-10-17T08:24:25Z

I have ascended! No cheerleaders can bother my Zen! I felt both relaxed and agitated, the phase just before the final obstacle was tricky with the slow breathing--I loved the challenge. Good entry!

Welcome to Nowhere by AdroitConceptions 2019-10-20T03:45:43Z

Quite simple, but for how it was made in only 12 hours is pretty good~ I'm surprised you didn't allow any rating for Humour as I would have added points in that for the song that plays, haha.

I Was Nothing At All by gord10ahmet 2019-10-17T21:15:08Z

Fun game! I died a lot, but got better each time--a working trial and error game, which makes the gameplay fair. The music was amazing, especially the boss theme. It made me not want to give up. I had to survive the second phase for 15 seconds, but I can see from the screenshot that it was initially higher than 25 or 30, so I've played it after the balancing.

Totally Safe Space Systems by Tim Eriksen 2019-10-28T22:56:17Z

Mission successful~ I love the idea how one had to log in to play.

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-19T00:14:59Z

Fun little game~ Kind of wish there was an end goal, or that the difficulty increased over time.

Untitled Goop Game by unept 2019-10-17T06:15:08Z

Really love the sticking mechanic in this, very original! I'm assuming the theme fits with starting with no friends, and by the end of the game they're all united.

Nottingham by nidjo123 2019-10-20T07:54:23Z

I loved this! It reminded me a lot of Spooky's House of Jumpscares. One or two levels were too mazey for me, but I really enjoyed most! I got stuck in a later level with many ghosts in narrow hallways, and had to throw in the towel there.

Unraveling Nothing by Zachary Shah 2019-10-17T00:42:40Z

Swinging your brother around on a rope to get to places is quite innovative, I must say. Sadly, I can't get past the first area from the game, and E and Q doesn't seem to do anything on my end. The physics work very well, but perhaps the charging time to swing around could be faster~

Snow Country For Cold Men by Brandon Anderson 2019-10-18T03:16:35Z

Score of 43767~ Is it only based on distance? Calming game!

Soy Sauce Man by Memedev0 2019-10-20T05:59:44Z

As odd as this game was, it was fun~ I love how there are different abilities every few levels. I couldn't fight the second Soy Sauce with the Sword/Flag swings.

Steva the Robot by lazarche 2019-10-17T04:39:06Z

I had a similar idea before where you would start as a simple robot that gets parts to improve itself, in a metroidvania-styled game, similar to Samus and her evolving abilities. I found a bug I think, where I was forced to watch the intro again when I backtracked in the room where the first firebeam is. Is the robot Steve or Steva? It says Steva on this page, and Steve on the application.

Fun game, a lot of waiting between the fire and infrared beams, but the good music made up for that!

Buzzsaw Cat by DPS2004 2019-10-20T07:40:05Z

Fun game! I really love the music too. Kind of wish there were more hard levels~

cat.png

Slinger by Bungalow 2019-10-20T07:31:18Z

It felt like I was playing Rayman~ This game offered more than I thought--I did not expect a boss at the end. The controls were very responsive, it was probably the best platformer I've played yet this jam. Good job!

Entanglement by cassowary 2019-10-28T06:27:47Z

Addicting game! Can't say I've played one like it.

What Is Halloween? by Lexyvil 2019-10-19T00:42:24Z

@dps2004 Thanks for the feedback! As for the police being unavoidable, I did made it easier to avoid them in version 1.1, where you can now close the door even if kids are in the way. The cops used to only arrest you when they saw a crying child.

What Is Halloween? by Lexyvil 2019-10-30T03:43:45Z

@elysiagriffin Thanks for making the time to try!

Naked Guy by kaeveris 2019-10-17T05:57:56Z

I got stuck with two socks on the room with two platforms and two ladies--I wasn't sure how to get past them. Funny game though~

Overthought by JakobTheQuizGuy 2019-10-20T08:09:40Z

This was awesome, it somewhat reminded me of the cell stage in Spore (which was my favourite stage). I really love games like these where you evolve to get new or better senses. If only the later ones were useful~ I would support the development of a project like this with many more feature--the smell ability was very neatly incorporated.

Finished Raccoon Bikini Game by D5R 2019-10-17T21:45:51Z

I love how the tutorial text and the credits are part of the game objects you can place around, making it so that you really do start with nothing. The game makes me think a lot of The Incredible Machine, which is nostalgic~ I spent half an hour or more on it, great entry!

Soundscapes by Kaish 2019-10-17T06:45:43Z

Very relaxing, and the sounds are so clear. Never seen a "spot the difference" game quite like it, and I love how the credits were incorporated in the last level. Amazing entry!

Chicken Nothing by sillyman987 2019-10-20T06:41:04Z

It almost feels like an incremental game, which I don't mind~ The chickens seem to be a hive mind for always walking in the same direction, which I found funny. I tried crashing the game by having as many chickens as I could but I threw in the towel after about 20 minutes, haha.

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-19T00:38:04Z

Really love the music and mood in this one! And the gameplay was fun and a still got challenging in the end. Had a bit of trial and error aspects with the last guy, but not in a bad way.

My Stuff is in There! by Madbarron 2019-10-20T06:18:51Z

It took me a while to realize that I had to "listen" many times to progress, which was very clever! The script was amazing and the greeting voice lines added a lot to the immersion, which I felt from beginning to the end.

Bluebirds by hwaet 2019-10-25T06:08:28Z

It was a tad repetitive, but I loved the idea of building the bird pixel by pixel~

Roman & Ownin' by mharring 2019-10-17T01:29:45Z

2D PLATFORMER EXE by GabrielGameDev 2019-10-25T21:35:55Z

I love these types of games where you start with nothing or the lowest settings and you have to play more to unlock more features that make the game look or play better.

Alone by Becher 2019-10-20T02:49:31Z

This is amazing--I'm used to procedural generated worlds, but this felt very unique in that you saw it slowly being created as you played, which was unique to me. I had to throw in the towel since I didn't know if there was an end goal or not, but I did play longer than was necessary if that says anything. I would love seeing something like this on a bigger scale.

Idle Office Inc. by 0xkalle 2019-10-14T04:08:56Z

Very innovative! I love seeing these interactive Twitch games.

View My Dungeon by GamErPlayer 2019-10-17T21:03:49Z

@celdur @gamerplayer Interesting game, I too thought it was a bug. It would have been nice to know it was intentional. Other than that, I like the idea of the field of view always changing--It's like a roguelike that requires constant button pushes to keep the room lit (decide fast or be blind).

Also this always followed me, with way too many HP to kill:

Bobbo the Telekinetic Gobbo by AmbaDev 2019-10-17T06:58:35Z

I sometimes moved very fast or slow, and at the end I had many objects turning around me when I wasn't able to throw anything due to a bug I think, so there was no way for me to die. But I see what was intended. The music was good, too.

DREAMS by Ferdi 2019-10-19T00:54:36Z

This was very relaxing! In the end, I saw what I'm assuming were other players, but none of them had blocks laying around like I did.

Hellion: The Legend of Jeff by Mad Brokli 2019-10-29T14:39:02Z

Fun game, though I pressing 1 to 5 didn't seem to build anything, like some others had managed to do. I played the Web version, was that the one updated to v1.1? I did manage to get 150 souls without dying though, so it was rather easy in a way~

Sand&Sea by CaptAndrey 2019-10-17T05:27:40Z

Probably the best concept I've seen in this LD yet! Very fun and addicting. The fish are too OP however, I had two of them on towers with a few laying about (9 or 10 fish points) and I couldn't have waves to come for more sand.

But! I won~

Oh, It's Nothing by Ein 2019-10-17T21:56:27Z

Very interesting concept. I thought there was a bug when forming the last sentence, since any word was acceptable, but then I saw it was scripted that way~

7 Days by AppoxGames 2019-10-19T00:59:46Z

I love how it's like plant-growing simulator in that you direct where it grows. Probably the first time I see a game like it.

Gun Fury by Gehad 2019-10-17T02:22:14Z

I learned from playing this that dashing into people to grab their weapons in a game adds a lot of immersion. And I love how that same dash can be helpful to dodge bullets. The music is great too, I'm surprised I can't rate it. The purple line really helps to know whether to dash into someone or not. Good game!

Slimy Dungeon by dodori 2019-10-29T15:10:41Z

I really love the random aspect of it, and the upgrades you find on each floor. It's really reminiscing of Binding of Isaac~

All Starts with Nothing by Rensei 2019-10-07T22:56:09Z

Interesting relaxing game. Amazing visuals!

A Field of Flowers by KeithSwanger 2019-10-17T00:50:53Z

A very relaxing game! The concept is very unique, it makes me wish there were more to it.

Creation - a weird story of how nothing can become something by dqmhose 2019-10-16T15:31:29Z

I love all the different options you can have depending on the situations~

Redbeard's Return by civmaniac 2019-10-20T07:18:43Z

Nice little game, I had two hearts left in the end~ The song I feel could have lasted a bit longer with more variety, but at least there was one.

Started from the bottom by thor1 2019-10-17T05:49:57Z

I wasted all my money! Probably the most humourous game I've played yet, if it's even a game. It made my night actually.

The Micro Bang by Glitchheart 2019-10-17T00:33:09Z

Very great concept for a gamejam! I'm not sure how machine parts and plants can influence the planets, nor if I should keep both resoueces equal, but all my planets got into the Extinction phase.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Something Magical by wasd 2020-04-24T08:25:05Z

Very addicting game! Glad you let us keep playing even after finishing it with unlimited upgrades. Just wish there was more ground to transform/reset the playground to play around with unlimited skills~

Zen Watering by Gao Ming 2020-04-23T07:21:11Z

Really love the concept! The flies really felt like they were there in person. And the graphics were amazing.

Healing Quest by kazuo256 2020-04-24T08:55:16Z

Really fun game! The gameplay reminded me of Tales of Phantasia in a way. The pixel animations looked very good too, and especially the soundtrack.

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-23T07:07:26Z

Really innovative game! It reminds me of that other game I played last Ludum Dare when it came to moving levels around.

À la Fenêtre by DocGeraud 2020-04-29T03:50:16Z

This was very beautiful! I'm assuming the theme was to keep the memory alive? If so, that was amazing. Very great entry!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-23T07:55:34Z

I really love the gnome voices, haha. Fun little arcade game~

Don't Kill Gil by webthingee 2020-04-23T08:06:07Z

Never seen a game about keeping something alive with gameplay that involves cards. It was quite fun till the end~ And I really loved the relaxing music. Great entry!

Ballad of the Bard by Filip Bergkvist 2020-04-29T04:14:00Z

Really fun gameplay, I got stuck at a short wizard that killed my fire. He wanted me to press "Am" but I'm not sure if I had to press "A" then "M" or something else.

Leap Of Faith by ryan123rudder 2020-04-29T02:41:15Z

Very addicting game, I kept getting stuck between the TV and the window, it's a hard place to get out of~ I couldn't finish it, I always ended up in the second house after the lack of ponds.

Flowdating by spthiel 2020-04-28T18:55:01Z

I had human/plant kids and we died together! Now I'm playing again, and it t pains me to keep it alive only to be mean to it and see it sad and cry... Amazing entry~ Too bad there's no ending for min affection.

Sweet Resurrection by James Shipp 2020-04-24T09:04:07Z

For a game that played itself, it was quite an interesting short experience. The graphics and the mood were spot on~

The Dying Fish by Lexyvil 2020-04-20T23:51:22Z

@papabirb Thanks for trying! I managed to fix that issue where the game still takes inputs while out of the window. The toxicity of the tank is already shown in the corner as the green bar, and hopefully I can add the rest like sound effect and music on time.

The Dying Fish by Lexyvil 2020-04-30T02:26:51Z

@akitl Thanks for trying! And the sponge is to help lower the contamination level when left underwater.

Until Sunrise by Jishin 2020-04-29T03:18:36Z

Really love the visuals in this! Playing from the web, I found this bug I think where the words don't appear: words.jpg

Maybe it's because I played in full screen and back to normal screen?

Faire L'Amour aux Plantes by Jenny Bourke 2020-04-29T03:40:42Z

The gameplay was somewhat repetitive and simple, but the presentation was quite charming.

Keep the marriage 'alive' by MarcoMing 2020-04-29T04:24:10Z

Very fun game! Gets hard rather fast. The game I had trouble understanding and took me a while to figure out was the relaxing on the bench one--I had no indication that I had click the fly away. And I still couldn't know what to do with the toilet seat. I assumed I had to press or spam "E".

Beerloose starring Beer Bearer Bob - Keep the Party Alive! by loganthemanster 2020-04-27T02:48:55Z

The gameplay may have been repetitive when it came down to only have one lady left, but everything else, especially the audio, was amazing~

Life is Hard, and then You Buy a Cactus by trmrddr 2020-04-29T04:02:30Z

Fun game! I realized that the more e-mails you had the highest the anxiety went, and the more plants you owned, the more it helps lower it.

yay.jpg

My favourite aspect was probably the option to sing different notes. Not limiting the player was more fun, by having us choose what notes to sing~

COVID 19 by Alex Warren 2020-04-27T03:11:01Z

Though the gameplay was simple, it was still a good presentation, and the soundtrack was surprisingly good~

Untitled Tree Game by Raphaeltan 2020-04-23T08:20:59Z

Really fun game! Makes me wish I could tell better if the tree starts to be unbalanced. I'm assuming it's the colour of the leaves though?

Box Of Limes by RedDashGames 2020-04-23T07:34:24Z

The visuals and gameplay of this is amazing! Especially if this is made by one person, and a girl too. Most girls I know don't code, so this is pretty phenomenal.

A Balloon's Journey by jukrapopk 2020-04-27T04:08:11Z

Really loved this one! I just wish it was a bit less trial and error with the waving tentacle at the end. Both times I died for not seeing it coming, but glad there was a check point and it was short enough~

Chicken King by PHPGator 2020-04-24T08:44:05Z

I can see there was to be more to this game. At least it was somewhat in a playable state. The visuals were great.

My Mother is a Caravan? by Gideonnf 2020-04-23T07:14:17Z

Very pretty game! The song could have been a little less repetitive, but the instruments used made it tolerable.

Keep it a-fly-ve by cros107 2020-04-27T03:17:47Z

Nice to see it was made in MonoGame~ my project was too. I'm surprised how you managed to make this a short amount of time and make it quite fun. Good job! My highscore was 21~

It's Just Human by MomoLala23 2020-04-23T06:57:10Z

Really enjoyed it, I love how it kept bringing more gameplay mechanics the longer you kept Brian alive.

Seeko Studios - PROJECT: L1L1-3S by OQLQO 2020-04-24T09:20:15Z

Really fun game! It was the right kind of challenge, where I took about 10 tries to actually win. boop.png

Rhythm Castle - Platformer/Rhythm Game by GrizzliusMaximus 2020-04-24T09:33:03Z

This was interesting, though I couldn't get past the second beat minigame (SKKS). The ducking and jumping voice was funny though.

The Dark Cave by Tom Stephenson 2020-04-23T08:12:55Z

It really felt a lot like Limbo! The mood is amazing too. The spider climbed the wall the first time I met it, and it stayed still at the spawn point where there was no way I could move right after spawning each time. Is that a bug?

My Egg and I by Sid Fish Games 2020-04-24T06:38:05Z

Really simple and addicting gameplay! I only made it as far as the second checkpoint.

Social Distance Enforcers by nosfer 2020-04-27T03:02:44Z

Hilarious concept. I enjoyed it, though I had to rely more on visuals since the song was offbeat~ I had about 20k points.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck In Space (Twitch IRC Chat Game) by DanielLeeMeeks 2020-10-08T19:27:34Z

Played it simultaneously with my girlfriend. Really interesting use of the Twitch platform~ You should maybe share the link to this LD47 page for you game in more places, as I had trouble finding it on the stream page.

ShroomRoom by Likirus 2020-10-08T21:25:05Z

I really enjoyed playing it! It would have been neat if there was more features to spend the points on since they did accumulate a lot as the game went on.

Save Her by Lestat 2020-10-05T11:42:52Z

The Audio was amazing, so was the mood and graphics~

Beyond Death by Trypants 2020-10-07T02:26:19Z

What a great entry! I managed to finish it after 7 deaths. The best part of it was the music that set the mood and the detail on how the world changes depending on how many times you died. I was surprised to find out you were still in a loop even after finishing the game.

HomePick, A Pet Text Adventure by Instafluff 2020-10-08T21:02:29Z

I would make a bad pet for taking almost 15 minutes to be adopted~ Very relaxing game, and it really makes you feel how animals in adoption centers feel. It is kind of sad to think about all pets that are caged and never finds an owner.

Need More Space by wheatleyscience 2020-10-07T02:07:34Z

Really had fun until the end~ It reminded me a bit of Outer Wilds, probably because of how small the planets are.

Loopsky by Matootsy 2020-10-08T19:08:19Z

Very fun puzzle game! Somehow I found level 2 to be harder than the rest with the black holes.

Looper by Shortbread 2020-10-09T13:16:07Z

I got as far as the Summer Afternoon level. Quite a fun game~

Base Defender by Skeffles 2020-10-05T11:01:04Z

Neat little arcade game~ I noticed it wasn't getting any harder after getting 150+ points.

Who Knows by Whom 2020-10-09T17:30:27Z

yayy.png

It was fun while it lasted~ Never seen a game quite like it. Did anyone get higher than this yet?

Ouroboros Labyrinth by Hilda Hay 2020-10-05T11:09:04Z

The idea of catching your own ghost is pretty neat! Now it makes me wonder how fun it would be if you had to avoid all your ghosts at once, making each rendition harder that way whenever a new ghost gets added.

LD54 — Limited Space

Raft Blaster! by Alchemic 2023-10-03T03:56:16Z

Fun action puzzle game! I got a high score of 255 on normal. It does get challenging with all the bombs. Very good submission and fitting for the theme.

The Cauldron Coven Coalition by Sarah 2023-10-03T20:58:00Z

Interesting game, you definitely nailed the mood and the music! And I like how it's fitting for October too.

I noticed that I only got 7 witches unlocked out of 8 by the end. The meta setup I noticed for winning easily is to have the witches all be close together at the hut.

Cozy by mechanicallife 2023-10-04T00:03:59Z

cozy.png

A very relaxing entry. The smaller rooms do fit the theme of having limited space, and there is a good amount of furniture too given it was made in just 3 days. If anything, this game nailed the mood~

I Do by Togis 2023-10-08T07:15:38Z

Really unique game! I had +6 on my first try, +5 on my second. It's interesting to see the different outcomes based on who you pair people with (and which table). The fact you can't fit everyone really fits the theme too. Great entry!

Also I noticed Uncle Bob loves alcohol but "Alcohol" happens to show in red font instead of green, if that was unintended.

Rover Under by ColeSlaughter 2023-10-03T19:01:27Z

UndeRover.png

I got an issue where the game crashes soon after the main menu loads up. I managed to play a bit after retrying a few times though. I presume it's a multiplayer game where your team must have the most pixels on the map? That's interesting.

Seagull Island | L'île aux Goélands by Seb_degraff 2023-10-02T22:33:50Z

Screenshot_1.png

My highest was 40.

This was very relaxing with high replay value. Definitely got me keep trying. Very good entry and fitting to theme!

Tiny Tour by Bugord 2023-10-04T01:18:30Z

One of my favourite entries! I was surprised there were more features when I thought when buildings were introduced. That's impressive for the little amount of time given to work on this. There were two levels where I had to think a lot, so level design-wise was good.

Compress(space) by Fahim Faysal 2023-10-06T22:32:01Z

Probably the most innovative game I've played this jam. Very unique puzzle game! Now I try to imagine a full version where you can fold in every direction.

Deep Dreams by PoshDan 2023-10-03T19:36:30Z

Very reminiscent of Motherload, which I really like! The fact your version doesn't require you to keep purchasing upgrades and instead relies on automatic upgrades from bringing home your findings is refreshing. I assume the limited space is due to the limited cargo and fuel tank at the beginning. This was a fun entry, good job!

Mayor of the Mountaintop by Roboimuri 2023-10-04T01:55:59Z

Interesting city building game. It took me a while to notice I couldn't build water pumps at high elevations, but it made sense. I'm guessing the goal is to see how much money you can make with as few buildings as possible.

Cargo Trek by Deseteral 2023-10-16T21:10:59Z

Great game! I feel like charging stations weren't much needed given towns were abundant enough to always easily provide fuel. That, and the time required to save money to maximize the cargo hold, and to 100% the quests, but the fact these were even features in a Compo game is a feat in itself!

I keep thinking I was playing X-Com for how similar the crosshair/reticle looked when it came to its geoscape view. Very nostalgic in that regard.

Slime Infestation by Lexyvil 2023-10-02T23:50:48Z

@funemaker Thanks for trying! And sadly there's no audio, I didn't have the time to implement it.

Slime Infestation by Lexyvil 2023-10-08T06:56:36Z

@togis Thanks for trying! And there are two types of objects you can capture in space: Ice (to make water and freeze the slimes, preventing them to attack or clone themselves) and Scrap (to convert to fuel).

Cavescape by Tomssuli 2023-10-03T20:10:35Z

This was a fun physics based game! I can’t tell if we actually die in the story at the end there with the explosion. In terms of the theme, I’d say it fits, as there was limited cargo space.

Robo Rush Hour by michaelaranda 2023-10-04T21:33:01Z

Fun game! Never thought I would play sideways Tetris, which really had me think and re-relearn how to play well. If anything I'm glad it wasn't timed as far as I noticed (despite the ticking hanging clock). I Managed to obtain a score of 3367.

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-02T23:15:33Z

Interesting concept, I love all the combinations you can do, and it makes me wonder what the worst possible or best combinations you can make. I got 3 stars on night 1 and 2.5 stars on night 2, but on closing night I wasn't able to place any musician or instrument on the stage. Was that a bug?

Euclid's Manor by DarkWolf 2023-10-03T23:25:32Z

Didn't know it was possible to create a game like this in just 3 days, that's quite a feat! I did get lost a bit at the end after the exit door was opened. All in all, a good entry.

FROUST! by Kupnu4 2023-10-02T22:46:52Z

I had performance issues for some reason, such as low frame rate. but it was still playable. Max I got was 25. It really fits the theme.

FROUST! by Kupnu4 2023-10-02T23:04:32Z

Ok I realized the game was lagging on Chrome but it's fully playable on Microsoft Edge (No frame drop). Not sure why. If anyone can let me know, I'll appreciate it! Really loving bashing those snowmen off.

FROUST! by Kupnu4 2023-10-02T23:12:41Z

@mikhail-ershov That did the trick, thanks! As I did notice a few other games affected by this, so that'll help.

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-09T06:44:15Z

Amazing game! Probably the most fun I had with a game this jam. I finished it twice. I wasn't sure how to get out of full screen though, as ESC wouldn't work, but all in all, this is the best entry in terms of fun for sure.

PHYLLON by bradjste 2023-10-03T23:40:28Z

I got to the 3rd seed (Cusperus) and the difficulty spike is real when you get to use all the sliders. It's really cool to play around with the different properties of a plant and estimate what it needs for the order.

Burn Beetle by Pious 2023-10-03T08:04:55Z

I have the same issue as @pkb-games

Burn Beetle by Pious 2023-10-07T03:51:31Z

Didn't have an issue this time around! Thanks for the fix. Got a score of 537 in 0:37 seconds on my second run (died in my first). The game really fits the theme with how the visibility works, and I really liked how the evil plant multiplied the more there were of them, which did incite a sense of urgency. Great entry!

Neptune's Wake by feor 2023-10-03T04:16:40Z

A strategy game of this caliber is very impressive to see in a game jam. It reminded me of risk. Great entry, and fitting to the theme!

Re: Charge by polyforma42 2023-10-04T10:51:55Z

For a compo this is amazing! Top notch on the mood, it really felt immersive to where I really was trying to fight for my actual life.

Musk Vs Zuck for the GameJoy ( PLAY ON ITCH.IO LINK ) by Joymagine 2023-10-02T22:52:18Z

Fun fighting game! I like how the enemy backs up in the corner when almost losing.

For having just learned Godot, this is very impressive.

Need for Space by Coro_yy 2023-10-04T22:57:55Z

This was very addicting, I played for more than an hour and got to the level after the one where you have to jump over the same empty space twice. Those wooden boards are a pain haha. It really tests your patience. Definitely hit the theme on this one.

Tower Up by BlackCat508 2023-10-03T04:50:23Z

I kept dying the first few runs at the very beginning, but once I knew how to play, I managed to get up to 22 feet. It really has you choose carefully what you build--From what I know, trees are you friend.

Shailu by Viktor_Same 2023-10-03T03:43:31Z

I'm not sure what I had to do after killing the mushroom head boss, but I assume I beaten it. It was kind of easy,.

Fit In Bed by SelkieHarbour 2023-10-03T18:46:14Z

cosy.png

Amazing entry! Short and relaxing.

Σίσυφος CATCH! by Rezistor 2023-10-03T08:15:33Z

For a game as simple as dodging orbs, it's visually stunning! It's one of those very few games that made me hear my GPU fans spin, haha. I got up as high up to 115 seconds without dying.

Ark of the Dogbear by doubley 2023-10-03T05:19:36Z

Interesting concept. From what I learned, exploration points are automatic, and the fishing points are the ones you work for, at least in that current state.

Trainwreck by Zac Arnold 2023-10-03T05:51:51Z

Amazing game, it got me addicted for a good hour. If anything, a restart level button would help a lot since there were times I got myself screwed, and all I could do is wait for the timer to run out. The music is really well implemented too, with how it's based on how much time is left.

Running out of space by Tal28 2023-10-09T06:50:54Z

Funny, since Ludum Dare 42's theme was "Running out of Space". Anyway, this was a fun game, I had a score of 123. I liked being squeeze by some form of void in space itself, as if space wasn't already void. The only aspect I think could have been better is the music, it's repetitive and feels like it's looping every few seconds, but at least the tempo changed depending on how tight the screen became.

Shroomed. by TheAlexWolf 2023-10-06T22:46:25Z

Although I can tell that the game doesn't feel finished, at least there's some effort put in this project: A working dialogue system, and character movement. There's also that one minigame. If I had to choose one thing to improve, it would be the writing. All in all, good job on the effort given it was within a weekend~

Shroomed. by TheAlexWolf 2023-10-07T00:07:19Z

@thealexwolf Yeah, figuring the right scope is often a challenge that even I have trouble with handling at times.

Shrinking Nightmare by thanikTheDev 2023-10-03T07:55:35Z

I got an error when trying to launch it: "Couldn't load project data at path", where the path is simply ".".

Clearing space by Sevansevan 2023-10-04T21:13:55Z

One of my favourite entries! It's simple yet it fits the theme and some of the levels do require thinking.

Farewell, Fava by nckpark 2023-10-03T05:10:00Z

Cute story. From what I'm getting is to always cherish our elders. Interesting use of the theme, too. I'm not sure if the order of items matter, but I went with the Measuring Tool -> Gem -> Umbrella -> Shield -> Coin.
