Fun game, lots of replay-ability potential with the different choices.
Nice entry. It's pretty neat how you made multiple ways to get through the levels
Really cool concept here. Love the way you worked in the Sacrifice Theme! Great work. Super Difficult and Fun!
cool concept and i liked how you introduced the mechanics. it suffers from a lack of meaningful choices, as you have to sacrifice jump height in order to get past the first ceiling spikes in the second level. having variable jump height would have solved this issue (have the jump not go as high if you let up on the key sooner)
overall great concept
Thanks for the feedback!
@shieldgenerator7 There actually is another way to reach the goal without sacrificing the jump on the first sacrifice~
Hello everyone, hope you had a nice time during the jam! Next time think of us (mac users) to play your game too! A web build works for all sides! :p
Cute little game. I would caution in general against mechanics that worsen the game experience. While I understand that it was in keeping in the theme for Ludum Dare 43, I did find that it pushed outside of the fun / challenging realm and into the frustrating. At first I gave up vision because I figured the other abilities were critical to the game. But I found I couldn't get a sense of the levels and I was effectively blind. So the next time around I gave up shield and push, but after 25+ rounds, the boulders kept getting me and I could never quite nail the third level. Perhaps a slower ramp in difficulty or a bit less punishing of a sacrifice. Then again, maybe it's just on me. In any case, nice job getting this all packaged up in 48 hours!
@eriku Thanks for your thoughts! Sorry if felt frustrating at times as the level designs were made last minute. I might remove some of the falling rocks to get a better handling.
Nice concept! I just felt like having to restart to the first level to reset the sacrifices seemed a little too annoying. But I appreciate the alternative paths that help you even if you lost some abilities.
Man, I really shouldn't have given up my shield! Zooming in the camera was both fitting and punishing. Really nice implementation of the theme. Good job!
Some of the controls felt rough, otherwise a decent entry. Theme was on point. Boulder were brutal sometimes.

An interesting game with a kind of mechanics. I put a rating) Please rating and me, thanks in advance)
Simple and efficient. I enjoyed your game.
I enjoyed the game and also liked the idea. Just a small tip, try spawning the rocks above the player...sometimes I saw the rocks standing still waiting for me to go under them, other times I didn't even had time to react and just got hit in the head. But it has some potential, good job!
It's a very funny game!
The artwork is very nice!
Simple game, I like it, it's a nice concept. :v:
Interesting game. I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/kK0cQutPhIg
