Very nice game! I really like the music and sounds. It's very fun!

Very nice game! I really like the music and sounds. It's very fun!
Very interesting. I really like the music for each scene!
Nice puzzle game! I like the 3D graphics. I wish there were more levels.
Very nice! I enjoyed the graphics, audio and the game was really fun to play. This game feels very professionally made. Congrats!
Incredibly fun! The physics in this game are great!
I'm not really a fan of idle games, but this one was surprisingly fun. There could always be more animals to take care of and more things to do. But I still enjoyed it.
This game lacks challenge and it not very fun. All I think it needs is some kind of hazard or challenge to overcome and make the game more interesting. I really like the player model.
I agree with alobker. There was no goal and the controls were clunky sometimes. I think a great goal would be trying to separate multicolored sheep into groups or something like that. I really enjoyed the music and graphics. Good job!
Really fun and simple! The only thing missing is audio. Good job!
This game is really interesting. It reminded me of a similar programming game we played at school, where you had to program a little robot. I'm pretty sure this game could also be used as a learning tool for kids. The only problem was the controls. Since I'm also using a different keyboard I had a bit of trouble typing out these characters too. Other than that it's a cool little game! Good job.
Fun game. I always enjoy games with a Christmas mood, and the graphics and audio were beautiful. There could always be more challenges, like putting boxes on conveyor belts etc. Good job!
AWESOME! The music, graphics, and music were really good. I felt like a real adventurer for a while :) Good job! One of my favorite games of this jam so far!
Great game! The voxel graphics and the Christmas mood. Perfect combination!
Hey everyone! Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
@saramartins It's weird that the block breaking doesn't work sometimes... That must be some kind of strange bug. It doesn't happen to me for some reason. Could you specify when exactly does it happen? I know that there is a strange bug where you would sometimes get stuck in a block after placing it, but the breaking mechanic worked fine for me.
Everything about this game is awesome! The mood, graphics, music, gameplay, EVERYTHING! Great job!
I really like the concept! It's really fun playing as a giant snowball. The level was a bit too short, but I still enjoyed it!
A clever take on the theme! Really hard after you collect too many planets. Very fun and the graphics are nice!
This game is really interesting. It took me some time to figure out what to do, but I had a lot of fun nonetheless.
Not bad! The models look pretty nice, it would be nice to have the rest of the game this way too. The only big problem I have is that the game gets a little bit boring after a while. It could definitely use more enemies, events, turrets, powerups or simply just more things to do :)
Very nice. I had a lot of fun and the graphics and audio were nice too. There was just a little problem with lag. The framerate was pretty high, but then it suddenly dropped, making the game unplayable. But overall this was a really good game!
Addictive! Sometimes very hard but fun. Good job!
Nice game, but there are a few flaws... The controls are sometimes very unresponsive, and some sprites are blurry. Other than that the magic spells are fun to mess with and the audio is good too.
Nice! Really hard (I couldn't beat more than 3 enemies) but a pretty fun game. The only thing I would improve is the controls and maybe add some powerups to make the game more interesting.
The game looks and plays nicely, but it's almost impossible to defend on such a small screen. I'd zoom out the camera so it is easier to see the enemies coming.
Not bad! Fun and challenging.
Nice game! I really like the audio and gameplay. Sometimes the controls and camera are a little clunky. Other than that this game is pretty fun!
Interesting concept. Very fun to play and the graphics look good too! Good job!
Not bad! It was fun and the graphics look nice. Just as @magonx said there could be more objectives... Good job!
I like this game, especially the music.
Wow! One of the most fun games I played so far! I also really like the voxel graphics. Great job!
I liked the concept and game mechanics. This game is very well polished. It could use some music.
I liked the concept of this game! The visuals and audio are consistent and I have to point out that the changing gun sounds here are really good! It plays really well too! The only problem here is the fact that the game lacks checkpoints which makes it pretty hard to beat and makes the pace very slow.
Amazing game! The concept was simple but fit with the theme really well. I also liked the letter mechanic as it made for some really funny moments! Audio and graphics were pretty good and fit well together. To be honest I don't have problems with this game except maybe that I'd love a bit more variation in the enemies and traps. I'm surprised you pulled something like this off in just 48 hours and managed to make it engaging! :)
Not bad. Graphics and audio were nice, but I feel like the hurt and hit sound effects were pretty loud compared to the rest of the audio. Otherwise it's pretty good!
Neat game! I really enjoyed the gameplay and the simple graphics as well as the sci-fi culture references sprinkled throughout. My highest score is 9125 but I'm sure I can do better than that. The online version lacks sound (or is it just me?), which is otherwise pretty good. The implementation of the theme wasn't anything special but the execution made up for it :)
This game was way more fun than I expected! I also love the sounds and physics! Good job!
I really like this game! The dragging felt a little unresponsive and confusing but the overall gameplay was pretty thrilling and fun. I also really enjoyed the graphic style and music. Good job!
PS. I didn't get to Omsk yet, but I'll definitely try in the future!
Not bad! I really liked the concept. More variation in rooms and maybe occasionally putting the stairs on the other side of the building would make your game even better. Having the camera be controlled by a mouse would also be really helpful in this type of game.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I actually planned on having the items you had to collect to survive be randomized, and let you restart without having to pack all the stuff again, but I ran out of time... If I make a Post-LD version later, I'll make sure to make it more varied and add a smoother learning curve.
I like it! Pulling the limbs is really satisfying and it's pretty challenging too. You definitely have my points for Fun! :D
Great game! The music, visuals and overall athmosphere fit very well with the theme. The twist mechanic is nice but didn't have much impact on the gameplay (it was easy to finish even while playing upside down).
Really clever! I liked the cutscene at the start and the mechanic of manipulating others. Good job!
Not bad. I like the use of the theme here! Good job!
Really good! I loved the aesthetic as well as the backstories of the villagers!
Pretty good I must say. The puzzles were engaging even though they sometimes required a lot of trial and error. Audio was also decent. I recommend making the art style a bit more consistent.
I loved the mechanic, especially on the last level, where you had to fit through the small hole. More levels would definitely be cool!
I haven't seen a Roblox game on Ludum Dare yet. This game was pretty fun, but there just wasn't much to do. It really needs more levels. I also recommend working a bit on the visual presentation, it was a bit dull.
Wow! Really nice! The voice acting was on point and the gameplay was pretty engaging. Good job!
What to say? The concept of this game is really good! You definitely got the simulation part of the game right! I also appreciate the tutorial which definitely helps with the understanding of the game. Another thing I liked is how the name of the creatures was connected to their stats, which made for some really funny combinations. The only thing I'd change is to move the UI so that it doesn't interfere with each other. 5 stars for innovation! :)
Nice concept! I just felt like having to restart to the first level to reset the sacrifices seemed a little too annoying. But I appreciate the alternative paths that help you even if you lost some abilities.
The game itself is pretty good, it just needs a restart button (if there is one I couldn't find it). I liked all the different enemies!
I was a bit confused with the sacrifice mechanic. Didn't work for me for some reason. But even without it, the game brings a nice challenge. I also liked the time reversing. :)
Pretty good for your first entry! I'm sure with more time you could turn this into something great! I really liked the captions. :D
This is a neat little managment game! At first I found it quite easy and managed to save almost all the cars but it got really intense later on. Also, the game fits the theme pretty nicely with the sharing of fuel and buying upgrades with karma. Good job!
I really enjoyed this game! Music and graphics were great and fit the game well. The game controls pretty well, upgrades have a fairly big impact on the gameplay and I really appreciate the leaderboard which encouraged me to try and beat my score. There was a bug which made the road and tire tracks appear pitch black and cover up everything on screen which made the game more difficult. But I still had a lot of fun playing it and must say you guys did a great job!
This is a very well polished game! The idea is a little odd but nonetheless pretty interesting. Graphics and audio were really good also. Good job!
One of my personal favourites! It plays a lot like a classic strategy game, and the gameplay is pretty fun and balanced. I'd maybe make the text stay on the screen a little longer so you can keep up with it! Graphics were really clean and fitting too! Great job!
I really like this game! It gets really intense at parts, especially if you get surrounded. I had about 10 seconds remaining and enemies were all around the apartment. I still won, but my heart was beating like crazy. The fun is definitely there and graphics and audio are pretty good too. The only issue was the lag that occurred with the amount of bullet casings on the ground. It would be pretty good to have them disappear after a while. Overall, I'd say this is a good game! :)
This game definitely got the mood right! I also really liked the graphics and the limited color pallette. Maybe it was a little too short, but for a simple rock-paper-scissors game, it was pretty interesting to find how the opponent reacts to your choices, and learn it's patterns. I'd say you did a good job!
I like the simple concept. It's definitely fun to play around with the ragdolls physics and I think there's a lot of potential with this idea. Only sometimes the parts get stuck in each other. But still, good job!
Here's a lizard thing and a chicken I made :)
lizard.png
Very nice puzzle game! The concept is definitely innovative and the puzzles were simple and challenging to complete. I also really liked the character animations and the coin/life counter at the top. One thing I would improve is making the level art more interesting. It never hurts to add small details to the world :)! Good job!
This is pretty fun! I especially liked the combo system that rewarded you for risking carrying more boxes at once. I also really liked the music, although it seems to be turned off by default. It would also be nice to have some sort of audio cue for when you're running out of time.
Really nice and polished game! I quite liked the music and the little messeges that pop up every now and then. I also found it kind of funny how the cat goes all over the place when you spam the right mouse button attack. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! We really appreciate it!
@josh-galecki I'm glad you enjoyed it! We originally wanted to include a pie rating system based on the sweetness, sourness, spiciness, and saltiness of the ingredients you use. The problem was that it didn't really make sense (Really odd disgusting pies could get more points than usual tasty ones.)
@phoenix-fireflower Thank you! The witches spazzing out is intentional, but we might have overdone it a bit. ;)
@ynneblack Thank you for the detailed feedback! The pie gallery is a really good idea! The cloaked stranger doesn't do much, we just thought it was funny to have this creepy guy sell you lemons, but decided to simplify it in the end.
Fun and challenging game. But it seems impossible to beat. I had fully upgraded gear and couldn't get past the little cave below the emeralds. I tried to find a way to get as far as I can, but I got nowhere near the treasure. Is there something I'm missing? Other than that this turned out to be way more strategic than I thought. Good job!
This was pretty good! I liked the reversed story and the graphics. The only thing that felt wrong were the trees which made the world quite confusing to navigate. The controls also felt a little out of place. Other than that, I think you did a really good job!
Interesting game! One thing I would change would be adding enemy movement and lower the player's rate of fire to make it harder. Other than that, I quite liked the boss fight.
The idea is pretty interesting and the graphics were nice. I also appreciated the randomly generated levels, although the generation could be a bit more interesting. The game was somewhat buggy (for example you can keep playing even after you die, or cannot change bodies once you have one). I'm sure you can improve on this!
Great game! Very stylish! My only complaint is that the hitboxes are pretty unintuitive. I really liked the background music changing as I progress.
Me and my friend managed to get a time of 541 first try.
This was quite fun! The graphics were simple but enjoyable. The camera clipping through objects was a bit annoying. I would also add a cheese counter to see if you found all the cheese. Good job on your first 3D game!
(Also don't forget to rate other people's games if you want to get more ratings.)
Interesting game! The art was quite surreal but nice! One think I would add is a skip button for the intro, and make the game itself last a little longer.
Whoa! This game is EXTREMELY hard! I'm not really sure how to get past level 4. Some of the jumps need to be pixel-perfect which is pretty hard to pull off if you have only a limited amount of tries and pretty clunky controls (I don't really mind the fact that you aren't able to turn in midair, but rather the snappy jumping and movement). Other than that, I really liked the theme and the pieces of the puzzle being revealed as you progress, it really adds to the mysterious vibe!
The main thing this game is missing is some sort of hazard. You could maybe have black holes that you have to avoid or anything really. Other than that I liked the little story at the beginning!
(Also be sure to rate other people's games if you want more ratings!)
Interesting game! It's a bit dull though, some more variation in levels and hazards that would require you to take note of more stuff would be nice! I also really appreciate the sound effects that help you navigate through the levels.
This game was very well made! There are enough enemies and items to make it interesting. The graphics are also pretty nice. As for the gameplay, I wasn't really sure what some of the items do. It would be great if the game told you. I also really liked that you can run enemies into spikes, it's a pretty effective strategy!
This game is AMAZING! The combat system is suprisingly fun, but the camera was kind of broken and the motion blur nausiating. Other than that, this is an experience that I could never get elsewhere. Keep up the good work!
Interesting game! I've never seen anything like it. You never know when the water will destroy your entire sand fortress. Good job!
This had way more depth that I anticipated. Figuring out how to create spells and using them to gather more materials was suprisingly fun (especially the tsunami spell)! Good job!
This was incredible! I really liked the story, characters and especially the music. It would be pretty nice if the story was told more visually rather than just through text. As for the combat system. It was a bit difficult at first, but once you get the timing right it gets much easier. I also appreciate the enemies dropping health and a way to skip dialog if you lose. You could also make it more interesting by having the player protect the camel and having a consequence if you don't. There's also potential for trading the purple gems for better weapons. Overall this is a great game!
I really liked the models, just too bad the environment and animations weren't finished. The gameplay was simple but it was there. I'm sure with more time, this could be a really solid horror game. (I would also opt-out the Audio category since all the audio is third party)
This was quite creative. I had a lot of fun trying to find all the endings and the text effects definitely made it more interesting than just a text game! I'm sure you could expand on this, good job!
Nice rhythm game! The graphics and the music building up makes you hooked until the end. The beat felt a little out of sync so I had to heavily rely on visual cues (I think you should press the button when the beat starts). Other than that, I enjoyed it!
I liked it, but it was a bit too difficult for me, even on the easiest difficulty. I would really like to try the upgrade system but I was already struggling with keeping my crops alive, let alone the alien. The water pipes are sometimes pretty hard to click because the hitbox is fairly small. Some sort of hunger meter would also be really helpful :). Other than that I liked the art and music!
I love the art and animations here! It looks great! I also really like the randomly generated terrain and obstacles. The controls feel a bit heavy which makes things like jumping fairly difficult to pull off, but other than that I think it's a great game!
I love the art and animations! The enemy variety is also great and makes for a fun challenge! My only criticism would be that the wall jumps feels a bit too heavy and hard to pull off. Other than that, good work!
Fun and challeging game! The controls took a while to get used to but in the end it was quite fun (also A and D doesn't seem to work, only Q and D). My favourite spell is definitely the wind spell which in combination with the earth spell to create platforms opens up a lot of movement options. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the final level, because my mana got stuck in the ground with no way to pick it up again. I also really like the statue art! Good job!
The game looks and sounds great! Hitting the big red orbs is really satisfying. The only problem I have with this game is that it's a little unforgiving if you miss a platform and the level layout is a little confusing. But overall I would say you did a great job!
Despite being very simple it's a ton of fun! The way hazards spawn and move make it quite tricky to predict where to go so you can never be safe. I managed to reach a high score of 62. The only thing I would add that hasn't been said already is a nice background.
A very nice concept with beautiful art and music. The panic mechanic was really difficult to control and combined with the difficult aiming made the game a little too difficult and frustrating. I think making the normal ghosts more visible and adding a sort of minimap or tracker to help you find where you need to go would be really helpful. Even if I didn't win, I really liked exploring the map and jumping on the little vents. I also really liked the characters, animations, UI and sound effects and I think with some fixes and changes to the gameplay you have a pretty solid finished game! Well done!
Loved it! Very creative use of the theme! The game was smooth, looked and sounded really good, but was a little confusing to play. The cultists were pretty hard to see in the dark and moved pretty slow which was a little annoying. I also found out that you can just quickly put the circle around all the pits without worrying about the cultists which allowed me to complete the game really quickly. Other than that I think it's a pretty solid game!
This is probably the most bizzarre and unsettling game I've ever played on this jam. I loved the boss fight and the psychedelic effects, but found it kind of difficult to pay attention to both the code and the game at the same time, which is a shame, because there is some really interesting stuff in there. Other than that, I think you nailed pretty much every aspect of this game. Amazing job!
I loved pretty much everything about this game! The art is really cute, the music and sound effects fit so well and the gameplay is interesting enough to keep going. Having to fix the generator to run on the wheel or having to eat after running mixes it up really nicely. I could maybe see some sort of randomization in this game, like changing up the tasks every so often to keep you on your toes. Good job!
Also don't forget to rate some games to get more ratings!
It's a pretty interesting strategy game and I had fun figuring out how everything works. I didn't win yet but I think I understand, what I have to do to win. I'll definitely return to it later. I liked the simple graphics too even if it felt a little empty. I think you captured the mood and dread of being stuck in a loop pretty well! Good job!
Nice, simple, and fairly polished game. Looks really good with the looping effect on the background even if it's a little nauseating. It'd be nice if the background actually looped back around to the city. As for the gameplay, it's pretty good but a little punishing. It's really difficult to predict the placement of the enemies. The stopping mechanic is pretty innovative though, even if it's not very useful. Overall pretty good job!
Don't forget to rate some games too if you want more ratings!
I really liked the graphics and animations. Everything felt very smooth and polished. It took a while to figure out how the puzzles work, but in the end it was pretty fun. The audio was also really nice, but it'S a but of a shame that it's not part of the gameplay in any major way. I think that would be pretty cool! The theme here was pretty subtle, but it made sense! Good job!
Gets pretty intense, that minigame with cereal is absolutely insane! I liked the minigame variety and the day transitions! The heart system is a little confusing though. Do you have to succeed 3 times in a row to start regenerating? I also think I lost with 1,5 hearts after failing one minigame. Other than that it was a really fun and pretty good looking game!
This was a lot of fun! The fact that you can collide with past versions of yourself and that they have to stay alive as well makes this stand out against all the other very similar games. I really liked how you can jump off other clone's heads to give yourself a boost but also mess up their jump, which leads to some pretty interesting situations. My favourite part is the bird in the forest level which allows you to launch yourself all the way to the finish. The art was a bit inconsistent but looks pretty good, especially the forest backgrounds! Great job!
Interesting game! There was quite a lot of variety in the enemies and rooms, although some of them were very buggy, or not functional. The pacing was really slow because you have to wait until you get the movement cards you need which is pretty annoying. As I mentioned before some of the enemies were pretty broken, like the tentacle monster and some other ranged enemies. I ended up getting stuck in this room, walking into the middle killed me without warning, and my open door spells stopped working completely which ended up hard locking the game: what.PNG I think that with more polish, fixes and the changes MatLab proposed this could be a really good game! I also enjoyed the art direction a lot, even if it's a little inconsistent with the main menu.
This game is really well done! It honestly feels like a finished and polished product. The puzzles are really clever and challenging, especially the last one which I spent at least 30 minutes trying to solve. I felt so smart when I finally figured it out! I loved the music and the simple graphics as well as the additional challenges (I tried getting them all, but gave up after about 5 because it was a bit too much for me). The only thing I found annoying was that one puzzle where you can't see what you're doing, but other than that, I can't think of anything to criticize. Good job!
Interesting game! I liked the athmosphere and mood as well as the simple graphics (especially the flame!). The music could use a bit of work though (It doesn't loop well).
As others have pointed out, the text fades out a little too fast, which makes it difficult to read the hints.
I also liked the maze puzzle, even though I feel like you have to go through one extra room in the circle, which makes it a little confusing.
Overall, good job!
Not bad! There's enough hazards to keep it interesting and the line mechanic is pretty unique. It felt a little repetitive though. It would be nice if the world changed a bit more as you descend (I only got to around 400 m, so there's a chance I missed something). It would also be nice to have more ways to interact with the line. Maybe grab it and pull it down with you when on a platform or something like that to give you a bit more control. Overall, good job!
I liked this game a lot! Good job on the audio, story, voice acting, graphics and challenge variety. The controls were a bit slippery as others have mentioned, but overall the game was pretty polished. I got really confused by the ending though. After you defeat the boss and finish the dialogue on the platform behind him, the level just restarts. And when I go up and then back down, the game crashes. I'm not sure if that's how it ends, or if I'm missing something. Other than that, good job!
The sound design here is really really good! Definitely adds to the atmosphere. The controls are smooth and fun to mess around with. The game could use more varied obstacles or something to encourage you to keep moving around, since staying near walls and doing nothing seems like the best strategy. There's a lot of potential!
Pretty fun game! I liked the emergent gameplay with the fire and I think you can really build on that. Maybe the dungeon changing a little bit when you return to it would be nice, since walking through the same place multiple times gets a bit boring. Other than that, good job!
@david-wallett You'll probably need to download 7-Zip, WinRar or WinZip to open it. We're also planning on making a WebGL version in the future.
@thesyntheticbrain Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback! We certainly had fun making it! As for the third level, I totally agree. It's a bit of a difficulty spike and the physics objects can sometimes be pretty finnicky.
Really fun (and funny) little game! I liked the interpretation of the theme as well as the clever puzzles. It's so confusing but it feels really satisfying to figure them out. Also the audio, graphics and overall atmosphere was really whimsical and cartoony and I liked that a lot (although I think the walking sound was a bit annoying). Maybe also being able to peek into the sacks before entering them would be nice (to avoid getting stuck all the time :D). Good job!
Very cute! I loved the art and cutscenes and the atmosphere in general. It was a little confusing to play, since there was very little feedback to what the player is doing. Things also happen very suddenly so I'd be nice to have some slower transitions or something so the player has time to see what they did. Maybe with some more animations and puzzles this could be a really cool point and click adventure game!
Good game! I managed to get to a depth of 42. It was going pretty well for me, but then the elevator decided to leave without me, so I was stuck (pretty sure that's a bug). I liked the clever survival mechanics that really kept you on your toes every time you went into the mines, as well as the different materials you could get. It required a lot of strategy and I ended up playing the game for way longer than I expected.
The only things I would change would be to make the controls a bit more responsive (sometimes it's hard to tell in what direction you're mining) and balance it to make it a bit less punishing. Your health drops really fast once you get pretty deep, and there aren't enough resources (or are weirdly spread out) to make it feel like you're making progress.
I think this would be a great game with just a bit more polish and balancing!
I liked the simple graphics, but the gameplay was a little lacking. The game could really use some kind of scoring system, or level counter. The game also sometimes got stuck after you defeated all the enemies, stopping you from proceeding (not sure why). But pretty good for your first LD entry! I think you can make something with this! :)
(Don't forget to rate some more games to get more ratings!)
What a funny and fun game! It's really satisfying to throw stuff around (the physics made it really fun) and the mechanic of singing on lights is pretty unique. I liked the dialogue and cutscenes a lot, but it would be nice if you could skip them. Other than that, I really enjoyed it!
This game is awesome! I love the chaotic but simple aesthetic you went for as well, and the music is absolutely deserving of the soundcloud tag. The game kinda reminds me of some of cactus' stuff. The enemies and mechanics were all pretty unique and challenging and there was a bunch of fun visual details, like the explosions and the wavelength of your attack getting shorter the longer you hold it. You clearly had fun with it!
I also liked the roll dodge mechanic, although it felt kinda useless. I'd be nice if the combat and levels were more designed around it.
Other than that, this is a masterpiece! Good job!
I really liked the graphics and level design in this one. Also, the controls felt really responsive, although a bit limiting. The game lacked some sort of gimmick that would differentiate it from other platformers, but even without it the game was pretty fun and offered a surprising amount of challenges. It didn't feel too difficult with the checkpoints but still kept you on your toes. Good job!
Great game! I loved the atmosphere, and how out of control it gets after a while. The audio and graphics are very pleasant, even after putting turrets absolutely everywhere. I honestly kind of suck at this game (with a success rate of only about 30%), but I had a great time nonetheless!
I like the art and sound effects! Gameplay could use something to make it a bit more interesting, but otherwise, it was pretty good! The office you built here looks really nice! :)
I've always wanted to make a game like this :)! It's a great concept and I think you handled it pretty well! There's plenty of content, and collecting resources felt great. Maybe it would be more interesting if there was a dragon meter, which would show how close the dragon is getting. The UI is a bit hard to navigate at times and I confused the big red button in the corner for "exit the menu" on a couple of occasions. I survived maybe two seconds in the dragon fight because I couldn't figure out which character is me. Other than that I enjoyed it quite a bit!
Amazing game! It fits the theme well and is pretty innovative! I got so close, but something always got me in the end. Maybe it would be nice to have a limited special attack that kills a lot of enemies at once when you get overwhelmed. Or maybe a magic wand that shoots in multiple directions (but is harder to hit with). The possibilities are endless! I especially appreciate the keyboard controls, and the art and sound effects were pretty good too. Great work!
This was a lot of fun! The way the enemies level up and become much more hostile is genuinely terrifying. The upgrades felt meaningful and not too expensive, so leveling up felt really good. I never really got to use the rampage mechanic though, since I was mostly running away from enemies. Great job!
That was genuinely disturbing... Didn't see that coming at all! The mood was absolutely great and even though the audio wasn't original, I think it added a lot to the experience. I like the art too, there was a lot of effort put into it. But I agree that the backgrounds were a bit repetitive and it could use more choices or interactivity. It's like an old dark fairy tale, that's meant to teach kids something, but just ends up giving them nightmares! :D
This rules! The art is great, the music absolutely slaps, and the sound effects gave the game a nice punch! I also liked the randomly generated heroes and their dialogue, which gave a nice contrast between a serious boss fight and the comedy of it being a video game. There was also a nice variety of attacks to choose from, but some felt a bit underpowered, like the pillar of flames. My favorites were probably the fireball and demonic barrage because I could just stand in one spot and spam them at incoming heroes who could do nothing about it. But I wouldn't say the AI was exactly dumb, it felt really natural! I think you all did an amazing job! :)
(Whoops, sorry for the double comment!)
Very fun game and a pretty unique idea too! I like how bad it gets when you start taking a lot of walking damage. It gives it a nice difficulty curve! The art is quite funny as well! I think it has lots of potential! :)
Not bad! I managed to get 21 points in the end. The minigames are pretty interesting, but I was a bit confused how to play some of them, so it would be nice to have a short explanation for each one! Also make sure to rate some games to get more ratings! :)
I really like the graphics and sound here! I think it captures the chill ocean atmosphere well! The gameplay while simple was quite fun. It just felt a bit slow for my liking :). But I still enjoyed this game a lot. Good job!
It's a simple game, but there are a lot of innovative ideas, especially with the power-ups! Trash combiner is probably my favorite! The game is fairly balanced too (milk jugs are harder to catch, but remain in the air longer)! Overall a pretty solid game!
Not bad! Exploding the enemies was a lot of fun! I liked the music too. I found out that you can move the king from his original position using rocks and cavalry, which kind of ruined the challenge. But other than that it was pretty fun!
This was truly one of the games of all time. The movement feels really good and I had a lot of fun jumping over hordes of enemies. It would be nice to have a counter showing how many enemies you killed. Good job!
This has such a nice mood! The graphics, writing and music are all great! It has lots of character! You even put a lot of effort into the credits! I defintely wouldn't mind a longer story in this style. :)
Surprisingly difficult! I think this could work well with some sort of endless mode!
I liked this game a lot! The art is great (especially the little comic segments). I also liked the music and sound effects, I think they added a lot to the game. There was plenty of humor too and think it captures the theme pretty well. My only criticism s that the tutorial popped up before each minigame, which made it a bit confusing and a hassle. The minigames themselves weren't too bad and I liked the variety, but I agree that they were a bit of a hassle too! Overall I think you nailed almost everything with this game! Good job! :)
Pretty fun! I liked the visuals and sound effects that went with it! Not sure if the lenght of the word matters, or if it delays the nuke the same (in that case it's also kinda luck based). My best is 20952. :)
Yes I did it! I win! >:) Also bread didn't work, you should fix that. Art was pretty cool ngl.
Interesting game! I liked the worldbuilding and sound effects! I had a hard time keeping more than one mushroom alive. Maybe it would be better to have all the mushrooms on one screen (or at least something to tell you how they are doing, what their water level is and if there is a bug). Other than that, good job!
I love the concept and the physics based movement! It's honestly kind of addicting, even if I usually survive for only 4 seconds on average. 👍
Pretty good! The collisions were sometimes a bit wacky and the game is quite unforgiving with checkpoints and health, but I still enjoyed it! I also really liked how you made the main character aim! Good job on your first game jam!
Pretty cool! I liked how you can see what enemies spawn in each loop, and also the enemy variety. I managed to get a score of 222, but I feel like it takes too long for the more difficult enemies to spawn in and to beat my high score. It would be really cool if you could hold a button to speed up the timer so you can get to the more interesting part of the game faster. :)
Bunny definitely went places. :)
What a weird little game! I liked it a lot! The graphics and humor we're absolutely the highlights for me, and I also liked the music (and the way it changes when you go to the bunny-going-places-verse), but the game could definitely use some sound effects to give more feedback to the player (unless that's also part of the bunny-going-places lore).
Good job!
Very nice! I liked the bubbly art style, and the main character is adorable! My laptop couldn't run the game very well, so the platforming was a bit difficult for me, but thankfully the checkpoints were very forgiving!
In the end I managed to get 12/16 fruits and vegs, so I think that's a success! (Finding new ones for every season was fun, but I kinda lost track which ones I already had, so maybe some checklist would be nice!)
Good job!
Very chaotic! Simple concept but I had a lot of fun running around and jumping over hordes of skeletons. The falling blocks also added a lot of replayability. My only gripes with this game is that sometimes the skeletons feel like they spawn on top of you, and sometimes you would respawn out of bounds with no way to get back. Still, good job!
I love the story and characters. Very wacky indeed! I hope Cleve-likes get the recognition they deserve! The gameplay is also a lot of fun, and I appreciate the 100 starting lives, because I don't think the game would be very possible without them. My only gripes with this game is that the graphics and font make it a bit hard to see what's going on. Other than that, this game is one of my favorites from this jam. :)
Very nice! The graphics and sound effects were really cute! I like the concept and that you had to strategize a bit to win, but I think the game needs a bit more variety, since the game is pretty strict about how you approach it!
Other than that, good job!
Holy shit this game is difficult! Took a lot of time for me to get used to, and the third level felt impossible at first but eventually I managed to clutch it. I liked the art style and changing color palletes. The level design is also nice, but the game is extremely punishing if you mess up even once. I think the game could use a bit of leniancy with the controls so you can more easily recover from a bad jump. Other than that it was pretty fun!
(My high scores were 1300, 1109, 92)
This game is awesome! It's very satisfying to paint everything your color. I found painting near the edges to be the best strategy. The only thing I would improve would be the UI to make it easier to see who is the next one to be eliminated (maybe sort the players based on area covered, highlight the player, and add a timer). There's a lot of potential here! The music is also very nice! Great job!
Pretty fun, I like the gravity changing mechanic, and the levels seem to be pretty well designed around it. I just had a bit of trouble with the final jump so I ended up using my momentum from the fall to clip into the wall and solve it that way. The game could definitely use some sound effects, but otherwise, not bad!
Very solid game! It's fun and polished. I could only survive for 141 seconds but I'll probably go back and try to beat it! The enemy designs and attack patterns are very well done, and visually it also looks very nice. I didn't have any gripes with this game, but I think it would be cool to have a scoring system based on kills and combos, that could maybe let you repair the ship, or at least see how many enemies you killed. Great job you two!
Very nice! I liked the visuals and music a lot! The tide mechanic was also pretty interesting, and I love how the water looks! Definitely could use some UI to make things more readable and a bit more game feel, but other than that I liked it a lot!
Pretty cool game! But I think the fourth level (the one after the three doors) is broken. There is no way to open the red door, and the lever doesn't work. Other than that I really liked the art and music, and the puzzles were pretty pretty clever as well!
If you manage to fix the bug, I'll definitely try it again!
(Also don't forget to rate more games, so more people can find your game.)
Very nice! I love how the map looks! Looks pretty cozy! Driving around was fun, but got repetitive pretty quickly, so adding some variation (like having to deliver two pizzas at once, or avoiding obstacles) would be nice. It could also use a "drift" button to make turning a bit more fun and satisfying. :)
Good job!
Very addictive! I liked all of the enemy and item sprites! I managed to get about 500000 points, just too bad the game doesn't show you the final score after you die. But still, good job!
I liked it a lot! The jumping feels nice, and the graphics are simple, but effective! I also especially liked the level design. You managed to make some pretty interesting levels utilizing a fairly simple mechanic! Good job!
(My best time was 180.250) :)
The gameplay takes a while to get used to but once you figure it out it's actually quite fun! Getting those high combos while avoiding the large group of enemies following you feels really satisfying. One thing that I would change is making it so that the points you have stored get added to your total score when the game ends, so you feel motivated to get those last second kills just before the timer runs out. The graphics and audio are also really nice! Great job!
(My high score was around 1950)
Interesting game. I managed to survive for 2 minutes and 36 seconds, mostly by just jumping in place and avoding falling spikes. The game could use a bit more variety. It's also a shame that only the falling spikes can stack, it would be really cool if you could figure out how the other effects could stack. The music was nice and the art was pretty cool too!
Pretty fun! I liked the bugs breaking windows and swarming the room. I managed to beat the large beetle eventually, but just as other have said, it would be nice to have some sort of indication that you're damaging it. It's pretty intense!
The game is pretty simple, but not bad for your first game! I liked that you could shoot through multiple zombies at once and the graphics were interesting!
Something you could improve on is that arrow keys + mouse to aim and spacebar to shoot makes it a bit awkward to control (you can't really move and shoot and aim at the same time). So maybe arrow keys + left mouse button to shoot would be better, or WASD to move and spacebar to shoot.
Also I think the zombies killed counter resets everytime new zombies appear, which seems like a bug. :)
Very fun! I like the variety of player characters and the various challenges you could give yourself. The art is also really nice a clean! The dash felt a bit weak, so I ended up not using it as much. Also Yppah should have a slightly higher modifier, I think (or maybe I just suck). Good job!
Pretty fun! I like the concept and the physics made it pretty funny too! The only thing it needs is a bit of game balance. The objects that are harder to weigh and scan (like apples), don't give you much money, which doesn't make it feel worth it. Eventually I gave up and just tried to put as many things on the scanner as I could (I think my record is 4). Good job! :)
scanner.png
Pretty cool! I really liked the particle effects, but it's a shame they don't always appear. Also some sort of scoring or combo system would be really nice! Other than that, it was simple, but really fun!
Very nice! I like the environment design and graphics. They have a very nice mood. Just liek others have said the difficulty curve could be adjusted a bit (it's too easy in the beginning, but then suddenly gets very difficult when the archers appear). Also the collisions could be adjusted so it's not so easy to get stuck. Other than that, good job!
Not bad, the grappling hook works as advertized. It would be really nice if you could also pull yourself towards where you're grappling more, instead of just swinging. The pace is also pretty slow, I think.
Don't forget to rate more games, so more people can see your game!
Very nice! I liked the graphics and story, which was quite funny! The gameplay was also pretty fun, but it does get a bit repetitive after a while. I also experienced the game freezing at one point. Still, I think it's a solid game! Well done!
This was quite fun! Although I was a bit confused with how the scoring system worked since I got 11324 points on my first run, but only 3311 on my second one, where I figured out a better strategy and had a higher accuracy (without getting hit by a car). Also, you can easily avoid cars by staying on the left side of the road and not moving. Otherwise, it's pretty good! (especially for a game done in such a short time!)
Thanks for playing everyone! We really appreciate it!
@mushgunax Thanks for the feedback! Having the boxes fall on the accelerator is part of the fun, but I agree that loading the boxes is a bit tedious. We weren't sure how loud to make the audio, so I'm happy to have some feedback on that as well! :)
@0x-void-x0 Thank you! We originally planned to use a KinematicBody for the player, but it didn't work very well, so we ended up making everything a rigidbody (we just locked rotation for the player). Then it was just about messing around with the parameters! :)
Fun game, but my memory is not the best so had to keep looking at the packages to see where to deliver them. :) I really like the concept, but I think it could maybe be improved by putting houses with the same state name near each other (so it's not completely random). The car physics were a bit floaty and I ended up sliding all over the place, but I still had fun! I also appreciate being able to rotate the boxes, that was a nice touch. Good job!
Very simple game, but I still had fun with it! I tried to see how efficiently you could deliver packages and reached a score of 12 (not sure if more is possible, but that might just be on my part). The controls feel nice, the graphics are charming, and I like the music you chose as well! Good job! :)
Interesting game! The radar mechanic was pretty cool, but I think it would be better if it followed the player as they move around. Also the controls were a bit weird. Maybe some sort of tank controls would be better for this kind of game! I liked that the NPC's all had unique dialogue, and I liked the graphics as well! Good job!
I really like the music and pixel art. It has such a nice atmosphere! It would be nice to have more feedback when you upgrade the mail type (after a while I wasn't sure if it even does something). Still it's pretty fun! I agree with SugarSugarSugar that a day-night cycle would be really cool!
I'm impressed by the amount of stuff you managed to add! The gameplay loop is actually really cool. But I agree that the controls could use some work. I also had some trouble with getting into the van because of a bad camera angle. Otherwise, I think it's a good game!
Loved the art and sound desing! Pretty good level design too (although I found level 6 a bit frustrating at the end, since there were no checkpoints). I also had a small issue with falling through the grind rail sometimes, but I only noticed this issue in the last level. Still, good job, it's a very good game! :)
Fun game! The music and SFX are great and I really enjoyed how the weapons work! The levels are a bit samey in my opinion. If there was a bit more variation in enemies and hazards, that would be awesome. Overall, pretty good!
Quite challenging! I like the music and simple but charming graphics! I think the hitboxes on buildings are a bit too large. Getting stuck on invisible corners was a bit frustrating. Otherwise, I enjoyed it! My highest score was 1840!
I also had trouble delivering packages, even in the bugfixed version. Is there a button I need to press? You clearly put a lot of effort into the art, UI, and 3D assets, so it's a bit of a shame the gameplay loop doesn't work. But I still liked it, the car physics were pretty fun! I'll try it again later, if you manage to fix it! :)
Very cute! I loved the art and sound effects, as well as the music! The gameplay is quite fun too, but the police was very difficult to dodge, even when there was only one car! I would make the police a bit slower, and give the player a bit more control! Otherwise, it's a very good entry! Good job! :)
The car physics are pretty fun! I liked how fast you could accelerate going downhill :)
Finding the delivery point was a bit difficult and the arrow didn't help much, but I think if you fixed it, it would be a really fun game!
This has to be one of if not the funniest Ludum Dare games I have ever played!
I was so confused about what was happening the entire time! Once I figured it out and learned to evade the landmines, it was actually really fun, and has lots of replay value! But the ragdoll physics, constant barrage of explosions and loud noises everywhere, and the one tank, that relentlessly chases you around the map while you're bouncing around all over the place, that just made my day! xD
I honestly didn't find much use for the throwing mechanic, aside from getting up quicker, it was usually much safer to deliver the intel on foot. Still, I'm glad it's there! Also pressing the play button multiple times quickly causes the audio to stack on top of itself, which makes the game even more chaotic!
Amazing job! :)
The atmosphere is absolutely stunning! Even though the gameplay was a bit cryptic, I still had a lot of fun with it! Excellent sound design as well! Something about the monster being right behind you, and you not being able to move as it slowly gets closer is creepy as hell! Amazing job
(Oops! Sorry for the duplicate comment!)
Cute game! It gets pretty intense after a while! Ended up with a score of 36, at which point it became impossible (my character was too slow) :)
Hitboxes could also use a little work, so it's easier to grab things. Otherwise, with a little bit more polish this would be an amazing game!
Simple but pretty engaging! I liked the music and art. I think I found a weird bug where extinguishing one big flame extinguished all of them sometimes. The final level was pretty difficult, but I ended up winning only because my dying somehow extinguished all of the flames. Still, pretty cool!
I really liked the graphics, and the way the map loaded in. The main mechanic is very interesting and well implemented, but I think it's a bit underutilized. There was never a reason to have more than a couple sectors loaded in, and the respawning enemies are not much of a threat (although I like that they don't kill you, just block your way). But this is a great little polished prototype you have here! Good job!
I don't think I've ever played anything like this! Very creative take on the theme with an unique execution. The controls were a bit slippery, but it added to the fun, especially at the end when there was only one rock and you had to try really hard not to fall off. I found the graphics/animations funny and charming. And the sound desing and music was amazing! Overall, I thought it was pretty good!
Pretty fun game! Global leaderboard was definitely a nice addition, because it really motivated you to learn the controls properly. I was a bit confused about what counts as getting stuck in the snow, because I could sometimes recover when I was really deep in, but sometimes it slowed me down very quickly. Still, I had a good time! Really the only thing I was missing was sound effects!
Kicking enemies off is satisfying, but other than that the game is a bit boring. Maybe if the level got smaller as the game progressed it would be more interesting. Also having to deal with multiple enemies at once, so you could get fun combos or something. Other than that, it's neat!
Very simple, but it was fun to move around (the character is very fast). There's definitely potential with this idea. I like @ffffchai's suggestion about having different endings depending on what items you took with you on the ship. I also didn't understand why there were keys for selecting items, since you couldn't use them, and there was never a situation where I had to drop a specific item to pick up a new one. Still it was pretty interesting!
This game is awesome! The puzzles are fun and engaging, and the UI was clear. I love the pixel art and especially the soundtrack! Quite polished for a game jam submission too! Can't think of anything I didn't like about it right now. Just a great game all round! Hope you get some sleep after this!
Very interesting mechanic! Dealing with the tiny enemies in tight corridors was a bit frustrating because they moved very quickly and your bullets did very little damage, but other than that it was quite fun! I was also a bit confused about the three buttons to open doors. Maybe some sort of visual indicator would be helpful, so you know that pressing all three at once does something. Shrinking and growing felt satisfying though. Good job!
I liked the variety of different projectiles and sound effects! Also the fact that the boss moved around added more depth to the gameplay, and was a fun surprise! Nice music too, but the sound effects were sometimes a bit too loud in my opinion. Still, good job!
Neat little bullet hell game! I like how the level was constantly changing, and that, together with the glithy areas and hordes of enemies really made you feel like you have limited space. Not sure what the purple orbs were for and the game could maybe use a bit more indication for what different things like potions do (the UI was a bit hard to read). Still the visuals and gameplay were great! Good job!
I liked it! I felt like the zombies moved a bit too fast, and if there were too many, then it was pretty much game over with no way to recover. But I found a strategy that worked (shooting them as they spawned, so there are only a couple at a time) and ended up with no space to move in the end, so I think I won :)
The dash didn't feel as useful as the crossbow I think, but the sword attack paired pretty nicely with the crossbow, to get enemies off your tail.
I also didn't see the UI on default zoom, so I was a bit confused about how much health I had, but I think it's fine! It's a fully functional game, and pretty fun! Good job!
Definitely addictive! I really tried to beat my high score, but after a while it felt like it was more about luck than skill (there is very little room for error). The dash felt like it could use more invincibility frames to make them worth it, otherwise they don't feel as useful. Also more sound effects and particles for player feedback (taking damage, dashing etc.) would be very helpful! Still it was pretty good! I liked the music!
Very simple, but it's a fully functional game! I liked the music choice, it gave the game a nice athmosphere, just floating through space infinitely. I think the game got a bit faster as time went on, but I'm not too sure. It definitely takes a while to get to that point. But honestly I liked it the way it is. It's kinda relaxing. :)
Funny game! I felt like days 1 and 2 are too easy and day 4 is way too difficult. The family seems to move around randomly so there is some luck involved too which made it a bit frustrating. It would be much better if dying restarted the current day instead of the whole game, so you don't have to wait so long to get to the interesting part again. Still, I enjoyed the voice acting and the pixel art was charming too (just missing some animations). Definitely a fun idea!
Quite fun! The concept was pretty interesting and fit the theme, but considering there were no ammo or health pickups, there was never really a moment where I had too much of something. The enemy indicators and bat were great additions, but I wish the bat had a bit more impact and feedback for the player if it hit. The other weapons felt great, the game was well paced and the enemy/wave variety kept it fresh the whole time. Could maybe use a bit more polish, but overall this is a solid game!
The game controls very nicely and it's really fun once you get some momentum going, but I felt like it was a little too punishing. Falling off the map should maybe restart the lap instead of the whole level, or just put you back on the map (and you will have more paths to avoid next time). Also a having a bird-eye of the map once it's finished with all of the paths the player took would be really cool! I still had a lot of fun in the end! Level 5 is definitely a challenge, there was almost no room in the middle on the third lap! :)
(And I liked the music too!)
Fun little game! I really liked the pixel art and the level design had plenty of interesting challenges. I think the difficulty ramps up pretty nicely! I just found waiting for bombs to recharge to be a bit frustrating (and using the left mouse button was a bit unintuitive), but other than that, good job!
There was a lot of effort put into this, and it shows! The movement was quick and fun, but definitely hard to master. Music and sound effects were great, and I also liked the environments and character animations. The only thing I didn't like was that the level design (while quite fun and creative) was very punishing, and a single mistake, even something as small as crashing into a wall basically meant you had to restart the whole level. Level 2 really had me stumped. Maybe I just need to git good though. :) Great job!
I was a bit confused about the movement in the beginning, but when I figured it out, I had a lot of fun! There's quite a bit of strategy involved! The dash was definitely a good addition!
(I ended up with a high score of 89 :) )
Very scary indeed! I had trouble moving the items around, because the physics were a bit janky. You clearly put a lot of effort into all of the assets, and even though I'm not a big fan of motion blur, it did make the game slightly more intense and immersive. Seeing mom standing in the hallway defnitely gave me a good spook :)
Pretty unique game! It's more like a weird little ecosystem than a game, but it works! I wish you could bury into the ground a bit more. The purple bugs were not that much of a threat but they did end up killing me in the end. Maybe if the purple bugs multiplied more it would have been a bit more interesting. Still I think this is really fun! Could maybe work like a little multiplayer party game of some kind!
