The artwork is fantastic, such lovely animations and designs! I found that the UFO's abducting cows was a bit punishingly fast, since it's hard to get up there with the way the walljump works and also with everything else flying around the screen. That aside, the game was a lot of fun, very satisfying to smack enemies and send them flying into the walls. Nice work!

Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

You should put a thumbnail, otherwise, people might miss this cool game. The graphics are really beautiful, great pixel art and the gameplay is fun.
I love the art and animations! The enemy variety is also great and makes for a fun challenge! My only criticism would be that the wall jumps feels a bit too heavy and hard to pull off. Other than that, good work!
Nice pixel art :)

The art an animations was beautiful. The game play was simple and well made. Awesome game!
This game had some fantastic art. I loved the look of it. Jumping around felt ok, but the fact that the only way to get on the platforms was to wall jump made the character feel really heavy and not very controllable. I liked the music, but it didn't really match the hectic nature of the game. I'm glad you chose to make the player invincible. It made it so I could focus on smacking the enemies instead of dodging the bullets. Great submission!

very nice art style and animations, an enjoyable experience, but doesn't pass my optimization test, didn't work on a 1GB core2duo 2008 laptop, i know it's a bit difficult  to pass but hey, i like to experiment great game all in all
As a fellow maker of a cow protection game, I really enjoyed this. The game played incredibly well and had a nice variety in the enemy designs that kept things interesting. Sound and art was great, really enjoyed the required wall bouncing that you needed to get around. Keep up the great work!
Vey nice graphics and overall style. Game feels very solid for a jam game.
Holy cow, that is amazing!
The overall level of polish on this project is really great! The art work looks great and the music and sound effects are perfect. Event mixing of all the sounds is really solid. The game play itself is simple enough that anyone could pick it up and play but still has enough going on that it can get chaotic and challenging. Very nice!
I love your animations! And also the pixelart looks nice! It's fun to play, but for me, it's a little bit difficult to reach the upper platforms (but that's my bad I think haha) All in all, great work!

There's not much of a feedback you can give to a game like this, you clearly got your stuff together :) Fun little game, feels good to play, everything's crowded just right, highscore table is a neat idea. I wasn't particularly good (scored bit under 2000) so maybe I just didn't grasp the mechanic fully, but - is there any reason not to mash the attack button like crazy? Jump felt pretty useless to me, as you could attack bounce all around the place, which was super fun, so that's what I was doing. Was it intended? Not much of timing, just bouncing around like crazy? :) If so, well done, if not, well done anyways! And thank you, I really enjoyed playing your game! :)
While the graphics calls to play this game, the gameplay itself is not the best: jumping from the walls is not practical at the reflected direction and while the melee attacks are fun to deal by aggressive baseball-hits, melee attack is not corresponding with the attack animation- frames (attack-box is too small). While this seems to be an arcade game, the player objectives or introduction are not shown clear to the player. Also some feedback from the made hits could enliven and clarify the game world. Another point is on the required keys in the main menu, which are too many

Really fun gameplay with an awesome leaderboard incentive. The wall jumping was a bit confusing though
Cool, game felt a bit janky with the jumping tho and I would like some kind of impact sound when you hit the spaceships to make it more satisfying. I found a bug as well, when you are very close to a wall and get pushed into it you can get stuck, this happened to me 3 or 4 times. But anyways, love the animations! The art is amazing, it's fun and a great concept! Very well done!

Hello ! Nice game, i really like how it looks. But i had a lot of problems trying to jump. I felt like a double jump was more easier for us to get on the plateform. Here i couldn"t be fast enought and the UFO won always xD
The artwork is truly amazing, and the transitions in the main menu are of such high quality.
Sadly, I didn't feel that the rest of the game lived up to the level set by the art and audio. The jumping felt too short and unresponsive, I often felt that I jumped, but the character didn't. I had a hard time getting onto the platforms, since they obsctructed moving upwards, and the constant enemy fire did not help since they pushed me around quite a lot.
Since the regular enemies posed no threat other than pushing me around, I just ended up running back and forth between the top platforms, spamming attack and hoping for the best, which proved to be a great tactic.
It was especially great after the game bugged out and stopped spawning UFO's, which made the game endless since I could not die, but could still collect points. I stopped playing at around 7000 points, since there were so many enemies that the audio started cutting out.
Overall, it was artfully amazing, but the gameplay got stale after a while. SoManyEnemies.png This was my game at around 7000 points c:
Lovely graphics!
Gameplay wise there's a lot going on here. Movement feels fairly forgiving but needing to bounce off enemies to hit the second level platforms is an interesting choice that I'm still conflicted on.
Once I realized the only real threat is the saucers, the game felt fairly easy and started to lose interest due to the lack of new mechanics.
Ignoring those little niggles though, the game itself is fun and well polished. The art is charming and overall it's a very impressive entry for a jam.
Ack, review got eaten, but anyway here's the TLDR. Fun, chaotic, with some target prioritization strategy elements. Odd jump mechanics add to the chaos, no time for deliberately picking up coins. Cows don't obey gravity, possible for player and cows to get stuck to bottom of platforms. Some level/wave mechanics would be nice. Some sort of positive progress and goals other than score. Maybe an eventual victory condition.

The art is astonishing, very polished professional! Great job on that. The core game play itself is also good, self explainatory and punching alien creates against walls with a glorios explosions always satisfying. The main problem was the controls. They felt really laggy and unresponsive to an extend, that I wasn't able to get much fun out if it. I had problems planning my jumps and I missed almost all of my wall jumps because of that. Since control is one of the most important things in an arcade platformer like this, it really stands out, if something is off. I hope you can still work on the controls and fine tune them so they feel responsive and tight.

The pixel art is incredible, the biggest strength on the game, the gameplay is simple but fun and the music works perfectly. Some thoughts: -The collision for the melee attack is very small, it doesn't fit the animation, specially there is no attack from the back and it looks like a 360 hit. -The wall jump was unexpected, I played several runs without noticing it was there wondering how I could reach the platforms, I tried using bullets to do that, but the knockback is (obviously) uncontrollable. It was maybe unnecessary, although it matches really well with the wall enemies. -Some UFO abduct cows too soon, there should be a larger minimum time so it doesn't feel unfair. -The melee attack sound is a bit repetitive, specially once there are a lot of enemies (a when I say a lot, it's A LOT, the pace of new enemies is super steep, some wave system as mentioned above could work perfectly with this game), I recommend for this adding some random small pitch shift, this can make a huge difference. -Because the priority is to clean the board from enemies, the coin mechanics doesn't add more depth to the system, you just end up taking points by accident. Also you are already given points when just killing, so I don't really see the point (no pun intended) -The combo system worked strangely, I think it stops if both you take a hit or enough time happens, there isn't really a feedback for the latter, and I think it could be juiced up further. I think that is all that went through my mind while playing. I had a great time and I think you did an excellent job, keep on!

Love the art in this- the wall jump and combo mechanic really allow for some frenzied gameplay. I am not a big fan of the WASD controls for this type of action, though I may be in the minority, but happy you had arrow keys as an option. Would love to see controller support. All-in-all a very solid entry and the soundtrack- especially the "game over" music- is epic. Great job and thanks for the game!

Very polished game, but the gameplay was a bit too repetitive. It didn't feel like there was much strategy other than just to make laps going in circles while mashing the attack button. Got kind of hectic towards the end though. Highscore 6036.
