LD38 — A Small World

The Burrow by Stending 2017-05-02T21:00:09Z

Beautiful artwork, great unique backgrounds. The music is really good too, but i think it doesnt match the game 100%. For the worm and the fish, maybe only three key to control would be better, one for going forward and the other to rotate, at least for the worm you could have more diagonal obstacles. Pretty neat, good job.

Solitary Freedom by CMLSC 2017-05-02T19:48:33Z

I completed it on 21 seconds. It's true that real time and puzzle doesnt match that well, and i also believe taht the second level it's a bit "easy" in spite of all the red bubbles. Nice sounds and graphics. Maybe some easier levels at the start who teach better the point of the game, and also the "energy" bar i thinks its too small, i took a while to see that it was something important for level 3.

Good work!

Feed The Anthill by StaNov 2017-05-07T12:40:01Z

122 ants. There's a moment when you learn how ant colonies work. Always take the food from the other side, try to empty the spaces closer to you home for food spawning, save some food and reproduce once you have time to do it. It feels like there is like a possible difficult ending, where even taking the nearest food doesnt make you have more food, it's important to have the game not infinite. It was polished and the sound effect of eating was hilarious. Great job.

Hexworld by Myko 2017-05-03T20:59:18Z

Wow, I enjoyed a lot the concept. Solid idea and elegant graphics. I think single player should be more "practice mode" because I feel too good winning all the time.

The points you get when you start with a grass tile are way too high comparing with times where you dont get any. Polishing the possibilities of points seems like a difficult task but necessary in order to get a fair game. Too many different tiles for the size of the map specially with several players. Also it would be nice to see the rules of the tiles after placing them on the board. It's difficult to remember which are your tiles. For now I prefer playing alone.

Tons of potential. My sincere congratulations. I think I will play more times these days.

Abaddon by Geckoo1337 2017-05-06T19:21:24Z

Amazing! Very good game feel and very disturbing monsters. The only thing I want to comment is the shooting sound a bit too digital for the mood you are building and after some time its kind of annoying, for saying something. Congratulations!

Where is mommy? by jQnas 2017-04-27T21:32:39Z

Really good atmosphere! The camera was a bit awkward to find some of the doors. I enjoyed it.

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-11T21:26:48Z

Great use of the theme! Fun sounds and achievements, some levels have the perfect difficulty where you can't stop playing until you beat it. There are some problems on the last levels after popping big groups, but nothing serious and I don't know if there is and end screen or if the game "crashed" with the display of the last achievment. Bravo!

Chroma by Megalink 2017-05-07T13:09:39Z

Very complete game, i have the same opinion about the dash, and actually i haven't used to complete the game. The dark ambiance is great and the music fits perfectly but I don't think the theme is well matched. There is a lot of game feel here and i had fun playing it.

ANTIVIRUS by KappaIX 2017-05-06T21:56:52Z

I enjoyed this game very much, a polished shooter with difficulty. I like how each map is small but it takes "time" to finish it and go to the next one. It's a shame that you cant have check points, or regain the health after clearing one zone. And a detail that i think that works really well is how fast the error-game over screen shows when your die, it feels totally like a real computer error. Congratulations.

Daydreaming Island by camilo 2017-05-02T20:44:11Z

Great atmosphere! It's funny how at the beginning the left and right click are not intuitive at all, but you learn fast and it's even necessary to acknowledge it's importance in order to beat the game. Fantastic music, and good, but easy puzzles,

Food Fight by nick.bota 2017-05-03T20:26:44Z

I waited for the multiplayer but noone showed up... On story mode there's no use for the attack so it's easy to miss it as you achieve it by click and not with the keyboard. That's why it's a shame I couldn't enjoy the multiplayer, it seems where all the potential of this game is.

I found one bug, on the arena mode if you jump below the jumping thing you can get stuck until you head the opposite side you are looking for. Also, if you jump on the disappearing blocks they behave as normal blocks.

Really good job.

A Perfectly Lovely Expedition by cerno-b 2017-05-03T20:13:23Z

Short interesting game. Loved the night day cycle, i will have a look to your code when i have time to learn. I expected more interactions between objects as well as more uses for the digging. Nice graphics. I enjoyed it. Good job!

Little Fortune Planet by Flaterectomy 2017-05-07T11:10:34Z

There is potential here, i had a lot of fun. Some thoughts and bugs I found: -You can play cards while being draw, and as they may be some on top of the others you can accidentaly play two cards at once. -Once you get a cure for the death, the game becomes infinite, without the ability to restart. Also new cards of cure for the death are useless and actually when you play them the appear on the left, each time below of the previous one (sometimes even you have two of the desplaying) until they exists below the bottom of the screen. -The volcano achievment is really hard to get, i got a lot more cards of turning everything into water than eruptions ones, making almost impossible to keep my lava. Blocking to draw cards that you already have in hand could fix this. Or having more cards in your hand, but i guess you chose three because of the little number of different cards they exist. -Combinations are really funny, congratulations to all the possibles outcomes after such little quantity of different cards. -Some times the citizens exist inside the earth. -I dont know if the alien spaceship interacts with anything .

Congratulations. Solid entry.

Flat Earths! by ponywolf 2017-05-11T21:50:06Z

Wow, really fun! I wish I have'd played it with some friends. It reminds me to a happy version of a game of archers where also you could go throught the limits of the screen and appear on the other side, but I can't remember the name, and without the gravity spin of course! The death sounds are a bit annoying and sometimes is difficult to distinguish which is youre character, maybe they are too small or having the same shape make it more difficult. Anyway I enjoyed it a lot.

Superbugs by Breadmower 2017-05-06T21:28:33Z

Great idea, simple but compelling. The last levels are too big maybe, you could take smaller sections and convert each one in two or three levels, as there are independent parts of the puzzle that have the difficulty. One of the games I most enjoyed, really.

Statera by Kristian David 2017-05-07T14:31:30Z

Interesting entry. My first tries I was around the 150 seconds I tried two techniques:

-Having no more than two animals from each specie. Of course, after that amount of time, rhinos die. -Only killing rabbits and rhinos, but after the first 100 seconds the planet goes crazy, and I started shooting everywhere praying for the randomness of life.

I had to search for another technique between those two. Finally I made a run of 422 seconds, and I'm quite happy. -I did control the three species, trying to never have more than 25-30 slimes when they reproduce. Being cautious with the numbers of rhinos and rabbits, try to get less than a half rhinos comparing to the number of rabbits. This functioned for a while, until rabbits started to go suspiciously low, and suddenly the all died old or eaten in a matter of seconds.

I really enjoyed this game, it's fresh, original, ironic, peaceful and challenging. Congratulations. I don't really like the dragon statue, too magical in comparison with the rest of the game.

Solar Wind by flusap 2017-05-02T20:22:40Z

Beautiful exploration. I enjoyed it very much. Very good different puzzle explained without words. Congratulations The music is very short but somehow it manages to doesnt get annoying.

congamoeba: the amoebic friendship simulator by Kev Adsett 2017-05-07T11:18:53Z

Hahahaha! Bip Bip Trulurlur Pa! Nice sounds, cute graphics, i enjoyed it. It would be great to have more objectives in game as it get a bit repetitive once your konga is kind of long.

Warpy's World by Nilanjan 2017-05-03T21:41:48Z

Very good puzzles, it take some time experimenting until you get it right. For me it took a while to knew i could fall without dying. Unique art. As the is no explanations (and i love the vow of silence) you should be a little more careful presenting the mechanics, but great work.

Johi Farm by AVAVT 2017-05-11T22:03:01Z

Cute graphics (awesome jump animations and yes, cool sun rays) for a fun little game, I felt bad hitting the bird the first time, cause it looked so peaceful. I loved the ending, I was intrigued by the cockroach. Great job, very good first entry.

PiP: A multi-layered puzzle game by Clickmation 2017-05-11T21:39:05Z

I really liked the mechanic of the game, I think it's original and full of potential, I encourage you to keep working on it beacause I can imagine a big variety of levels. The art is good and the music, even if it's simple, it sticks in your head. Don`t mind the bugs, keep working, after all the idea is key for a game (at least for me!).

Bubblenaut by TheFunAttic 2017-05-03T21:16:58Z

The art is the best part of this game, with a perfectly fitting music. Jumping felt A bit awkward at short distance (last level!), the camera is weird when you completely zoom out. I think taking away the view of the whole planet would make the game more exploration/difficult and would be great, as it is now its easy to find the way to the flying fungus. Good game!

Smallverse by Spiteful Fox 2017-05-06T21:44:10Z

Original idea, i played a lot of different tries (i loved the only one planet ending) just to deepen on the content you made. Really funny combinations with the randomization. I'm not that much into "text adventures" but i did have a good time playing this game.

Planet Spin by SoulPixel 2017-04-27T21:52:27Z

I reached the 10k, but i'm not sure why I lost, besides the angry/sad face of my planet. If people want to sleep and the go under the rain is bad score? My highest score was finding out to turn the planet all the time on the same direction, until a meteor is arriving, then i pay attention to protect myself. I liked very much the idea.

LD39 — Running out of Power

SPHEER by Split82 2017-08-09T17:43:13Z

Clearly puzzles are my favorite genre and you did a nice work here. Good level progression, although the last one was a bit frustrating as it is more like a pixel search than a logic jump. The graphics are awesome and the game feels great, for some minutes I felt like I was playing a game that could last a couple of hours. Well done!

Abstract Demon by Knowledge 2017-08-02T17:27:26Z

Cool! I got stuck on level... 5, 6? I don't know, I went to someone who hadn't any option and I didn't know how to restart level. Really interesting concept but the lack of music and the difficult to see "people" stressed me in this reading puzzle.

Computer Crisis by PixelFormedStudios 2017-08-02T17:44:03Z

Hahahaha, really fun, polished at its maximum and fun. I really enjoyed the music too.

Mr Mayor's Energy Crisis by HuvaaKoodia 2017-08-08T15:42:44Z

Really cool, it was difficult for me to reach far in this game, as I didn't understood when some of the bad news arrived, but had fun reading the news and feeling sorry for the first two deaths of the eagle. Cool graphics, I loved how the music starts and funny writing!

Wall Charger Addict by Dege 2017-08-01T23:11:46Z

Runs smoothly, the movement of the player is great. Difficult to spot energy charging places, the colors of builiding and roads are too similar. The timer and the power leaking are almost the same mechanic but the power one is more difficult. I enjoyed, good work.

VoltRush by Reiv 2017-08-07T16:20:11Z

The mechanics are classic but I was immersed from second 0, the music helps a lot, and I think we both know the problem when you go back to the menu. Simple but perfectly executed. You have the usual bug when falling next to a moving platform towards you, some moments of blocking. Good job.

Shekateka by dietzribi 2017-08-05T15:18:45Z

Really good concept, Nice dungeon you got there. Very polished, just some issues with those infernal birds when they are near the walls. And I believe that the boss is quite easy (with a little more life it would do). Congrats!

Lightbulb by somethinboutgames 2017-08-07T16:37:17Z

The physics are perfect! I think it's really good to try to go somewhere different each ludum dare, three days of learning new stuff really fast. Funny idea a bit empty for a game but I think today I'll key the window opened, just in case the bulb turns off.

Solar Miner by mrboxbox 2017-08-06T18:55:05Z

Smooth movement. Some other type of ores would be nice, just for feeling surprise. Simple but very well executed.

LD39:Running out of energy by johnnwfs 2017-08-05T14:49:35Z

Is difficulty increasing between one ship and another? At first I didn't like that much that you couldn't speed up when going doing, but at the end it became part of the strategy, trying to be on the minimal height possible in order to guarantee a maximum of bolts. It is true that you depend on the random appearances of the bolts. The movement of the background is a bit dizzy when you move to the sides. I did 2650 points after a couple of plays. Nice sound design, weird ship, good job.

Ducks in a Row by hgcummings 2017-08-05T18:43:46Z

Nice concept, not really sure about it potencial. Thank you for experiment for Ludum Dare, one thing I love about here is encountering fresh ideas.

Tesla Siblings by Linky439 2017-08-05T15:53:53Z

I love this kind of games and this one was great. Some points: -You can't rotate ´pieces near a wall because of how you consider the center of the piece. You could just move the center to let the piece fit. -If you leave the down button pressed for a while, when you stop, the next piece won't fall. -The rotate button is too sensitive, is not necessary that it rotate multiples times if you leave it pressed as there are only four positions. The up key should be the rotate button too, for being possible to play with only one hand. -The scenario is too big, there are few colors and the pieces are too small so it isn't really threatining. -There isn't that much an encouragement to make groups of other colors rather than blue, so you can just stack them until a blue one is coming. Maybe other way of keeping score instead of level could be enough. -I missed a falling "animation" as well as a sound when bubbles are getting to the ground.

Even with those comments I enjoyed a lot, a new way to see this kind of falling blocks games that seems that could never be original again but you did. The music is really cool, and so are the graphics. Tons of polish, congratulations!

Tesla Siblings by Linky439 2017-08-05T15:56:02Z

I'm so sorry about that! It seemed as it wasn't getting published, I erased the text in order to occupy less space.

Run'n Score by MatKubik 2017-08-02T22:19:39Z

Simple but well executed. You can go beyond the right side of the screen and be on the void without taking any barrel.

Corrupted by Shess 2017-08-07T16:58:41Z

I think the game goes to fast, and without sounds it is difficult to know whats happening. Also it's difficult to know where did you already shoot on a big tile. Anyway, I enjoyed the mechanic, unique here in this Ludum, at least for now, and played several times, not winning that much.

lit by M-1 2017-08-05T13:38:14Z

Good work on the mazes! Thinking about your game makes me think that you don't really learn nothing on every new level, you just go randomly in search for the green cube, a that's a bit disappointing, nonetheless I found myself playing 20 levels as you proposed (257 seconds). Once you are too far from the start it makes no sense to go back to charge your energy back (I haven't run out of energy anyway). It lack something to be a compelling game. But well done.

Swamped by Gumboot 2017-08-06T21:11:37Z

This games feels like a demo of a bigger one. Tons of potential. Movement and attacks feel great (maybe the basic attack needs to look a little bigger, as it is more power full than it seems), the graphics are gorgeous (an hyper light drifter aura). The only think need some tweaking is level design because right know you can beat the game only using dash (which is enormously powerful). One of the best games I played from this Ludum Dare, you have something big in your hands.

Gradient Descent by Zelos 2017-08-05T13:54:52Z

Beautiful game! A little repetitive as the particles you have to catch always move the same way. Really nice touch to add a link the the endings. I think movement should be a little faster for the walking levels. Congratulations! One of the best games i've played so far.

Robot Kernel PaniK by Le Slo 2017-08-02T17:49:17Z

@michaelgrand Yes it is difficult! We try to add a lot of things and we didn't have time to polished the difficulty curve. Actually I managed to beat the game today for the first time, here is a tip: You really need to know how the map works for minimising the use of robots. Any way we are working on an update to make things clearer and not as demanding at least at the start of the game.

Robot Kernel PaniK by Le Slo 2017-08-05T10:35:11Z

@eduardogrdev We wrote the full instructions in the page of our game, as we thought it wouldn't be as immersive in the console tutorial. The same for the tutorial level, it wouldn't seem like a real thing. You have to be careful on when you activate robots!

Robot Kernel PaniK by Le Slo 2017-08-05T14:33:00Z

@johnnwfs Thanks! Of course for the ratings, the deadline is the deadline. But we wanted to deliver the product we had in our minds, at least for us. For the next time we decided trying on a smaller project but polishing it up because on this everything went out of hands. I'm happy you "enjoyed" losing a couple of times in our project! Haha!

Robot Kernel PaniK by Le Slo 2017-08-05T18:16:27Z

@multiplexor @afroant @Screech Thank you for your feedback. It is a shame we intendes to be kind of cryptic on the game's tutorial to encourage exploring with the interface. On the yellow tab you can see how energy have you left, as well as an upgrade button for buying a better storage of energy. Once you fix a panel it will give you some energy per second but the robot will spend some energy per second. The best practice is fixing several panels with only one robot, in order to gain some energy and then activate other robots. I think I understando what we did wrong, the panels looks off when there isn't a robot near it. Again, thank you for playing.

Robot Kernel PaniK by Le Slo 2017-08-08T15:17:32Z

@huvaakoodia Congratulations! You actually went really far. You are supposed to reach the vault, yes, but you'll need at least 4 robots in order to open all the doors, a bit unfair, I know. ALthough the ending didn't work on the Ludum Dare version, and there isn't really an ending of the post one. Thank you for your feedback, you are right about the energy and in general the interface, we wanted something that made the game a bit more difficult but we didn't manage it so well.

Again thank you for your comments, make us improve!

Plugzzz by mamoniem 2017-08-05T15:32:44Z

Nice art, the robot arms have cool movements. If you unplug one of the arms, it doesn't matter that the other is connected, the robot still turns off. Puzzles are simple and I'm not sure if there is much more to do with these mechanic, but you did well. The sound between level and level sound as if you have lost. The sound design is great.

Plug Me by hav24 2017-08-05T15:08:26Z

This is perfect! Incredible level design, awesome idea, creative and fitting perfectly with the theme. I was amazed for real. The only thing I'm going to say, just for saying something, it's that after the 10 death streak the music is again the first one, well ok. You deserve to win. My sincere congratulations, never run out of energy! I beat the game with 36 deaths which I believe it isn't that bad.

Power Hungry Robot by Edmanbosch 2017-08-05T13:12:10Z

Simple but well executed. I don't understand why the background has a grid, I think a flat color would be nicer. I also used the technique of the second level, as the is no punishment of battery for dying. Enemies are fast and difficult to kill so its better just to avoid them. Jump's sound was too high and, for that, a bit annoying. Keep coding!

Indiana Stones by Akshay Katare 2017-08-05T13:04:43Z

Graphics were awesome and I really loved the music, I think it matched perfectly the dark mood. But, why on god's name would wood dissapear in front of me? That's really fast descomposing. If you click a lot of times the sound don't match the character animation. There are some issues when you arrive to the limits of the level and also some wood appearing outside those limits. And I think your score is a bit boring, it grows really slow, with low numbers and there are no extra points for killing skeletons or picking up wood, it doesn't feel like you are achieving something great.

Desert Rush by Taras 2017-08-05T10:17:49Z

This was good. The music break a little with the atmosphere, but the game worked perfectly. As the room from above can be really far from the road it would be nice some way to know where your car is so some of the fuel tanks don't become too far and just make lose you in the desert. I got the plasma gun and doesn't feel great, it's too slow and you take more time to kill the same amount of enemies that with your base gun, maybe for some enemies could be balanced or something. I enjoyed a couple of plays.

For you to know, if you want to get feedback, the best practice is to play other games, try to get always your "games reviewed" over yours "ratings received". Also people tend to play games from people who reviewed their own.

Power Core by AugusteTheClown 2017-08-02T22:26:59Z

For 8 hours this is great, an original approach to tower defense games and fitting perfectly to the theme. Congratulations.

PowerGem Arena by Wizard.Exe 2017-08-05T09:59:12Z

Good game, I think the game it's not really difficult but a bit unfair. It's too obvious the decay of bullet shooting once you get half your energy and sometimes enemy's spawn position is frustrating. If you have the chance you may have a really good play, but it's a random thing. Beyond that, music and graphics were perfect and I enjoyed most of the time.

Scale of Life by ilya_kozlov 2017-08-05T08:54:03Z

Really cute, it's not reallt running out of energy but everything works so well I can forget about that. I enjoyed this little game about a really happy planet. Congrats!

Meltdown by Sarrixx 2017-08-02T17:14:54Z

I felt like playing Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald at first, but here the intensity escalate more quickly. The music was perfect for building tension but the footsteps were a bit annoying, a little less volume would be great. A cursor or little mark would be good to know where are you aiming. I think that if you try to enter an elevator backwards you get stack on the current floor with the time stopped. Nice game.

ZETPACK-99 by verysoftwares 2017-08-06T17:21:06Z

Amazing, nothing better than a well crafted puzzle. Simple, unique, and smately delivered. Congratulations!

Till the last spin by KiiroHanabi 2017-08-05T13:22:06Z

Original! You took the theme for the narrative and wasn't expecting at all to see a rhythm game here. I love how when you fail (80% of the time as you must be super good to do it perfect)arrows change place and rotate. It seems interesting. Like to see more!

The Sword from the Stone by Zeekeybookeydo 2017-08-01T23:22:31Z

Well, I'm not sure what have I played. I guess that the more you attack, less the damage you deal is? There are a lot of collision issues, the level of the sword can be under 0, and you can reach the princess without attacking once. The graphics and music were good. Keep coding!

Robocre:8 trials by RNGSilvercraft 2017-08-02T17:02:03Z

This was fun! The intro was cute. "press any buttons" except for the mouse button! Haha! I enjoyed this small game, it's a shame that once you die you have to restart all over. Maybe restarting with less power or something like that. I didn't like that much that once you hit a new level you can go back to smaller levels, it doesn't feel like you are losing power. Anyway I had a great time, and that is, for me, the 75% of the purpose of a game. Keep coding!

Blobby by Descrout 2017-08-02T18:29:35Z

Really good mechanics! Everything has a double purpose and I love that kind of things. Movement (inertia) and input (you can only press the key after the level started, but you can press the mouse button before) kind of ruined the experience from AWESOME! to just great! The idea have tons of potential! Also the level design can be polished a bit, but I love how it isn't repetitive. Congratulations!

People are the power by ElGregos 2017-08-07T17:44:13Z

I loved the concept, and worked really well for a couple of levels, until you discover that with "Family" Beam you can have it all and difficulty increasing really slowly. Maybe not having the option of choosing a beam can affect the way people play, as they are encouraged (forced) to play with different beams, but at the same time it is difficult to plan a strategy. It works!

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

TYPPOS by Tymus 2017-12-06T11:56:24Z

Hahaha the music fit perfectly! Nice add to a type game, enjoyed for a couple of games. Creepy long fingers.

Into the Slumber by FernandaBatista 2017-12-05T13:42:07Z

The idea of rotating the level with the height was good, althought the controls and collisions with all the little bugs don't work really well and sometimes the seem random and annoying. I think the levels were interesting, but the "We mean it, one" too hard, should be the last one. Good graphics and sound, the add to the game and feel. Nice entry!

The is too cool to be true.

A Platformer for Ants by Elendow 2017-12-08T12:40:04Z

Wow! One of the coolest ideas I have seen for now. Some thought: -It's awkward not seeing parts of the level that are already on the screen. This could be easily justified with some light switch or something. -I loved the checkpoint idea of rescaling the screen. Most of all, the checkpoint before the pit, that was awesome. -The slime monsters where a bit useless as they just break the pace of the game, I feel like traps (arrow, or intermittent spikes) could fit much better. -I felt for some spikes just after a portion of the map appeared. I think that there can be juice in here, making the player decide where to just with a bit of uncertainty but, of course, not being unfair.

Congratulations! One of the best and original games I played so far.

Lapped by somethinboutgames 2017-12-06T12:02:12Z

It reminded me of a game call commute (it actually really different, but the main idea of former runs occupying real space). It surprised me. I feel like controls are a bit awkaward at first, there is a lot of inertia all the time. Missed some music. Nice game.

Shoot off their lumps by pixeye 2017-12-08T12:11:07Z

Lot of work here but with such a little game play to test it. Really good mood because of the graphics and music. Aiming is a little frustrating mainly when the monsters turn around without any animation, so their lumps just teleport somewhere else, feels like a bullet wasted for nothing. Great job! I heard you are still working on the game, looking forward to see what will come out from this.

Rucksack by karln 2017-12-11T20:20:54Z

Really cool idea! I enjoyed the game, sometimes it's a bit frustrating but the originality was superb. I couldn't read the final sentence "you finished with one ruby (there was one...". Very well introduced the mechanic of switches. A lot of potential! Congrats!

Rucksack by karln 2017-12-11T23:14:53Z

@karln I don't know. Maybe. It's also weird cause I got both rubies during my game. I expected different endings depending on what you are carrying on the last room. You have six objects (two rubies, a rock, the shield, the bow and the sword)

Kabloo8 by samh 2017-12-05T13:34:07Z

This is awesome! So simple and innovative but perfect for the theme and for the fun. Congratulations!

Plastic by jeroenwimmers 2017-12-07T11:50:33Z

This game is so smooth, simple puzzle idea with a couple of interesting ideas, I enjoyed it a lot. Lack of sound is somehow disappointing. Nice game!

Lava Cave by Goplite 2017-12-08T12:25:15Z

I didn't get the artifact mechanic during my first playthrought but it seemed like it wasn't necessary for playing. I got like 22000 just going up as fast as I could, carrying an artifact always with me, no more, in the end I stopped because the lava wouldn't catch me any time soon. After reading the use of artifact I understand how this game fits with the theme, but you should tweak difficulty for "punishing" the way i played the game. Controls felt a bit clunky but I liked the idea of the extra push with the gun. Nice entry.

Overpopulation by julianeder33 2017-12-10T15:47:07Z

Once I understood how to play (I had to read the comments) the game was good. The main menu is supercool. I had issues with the gui, some sentences were written over other stuff, the button to leave the highscores (I got second!) was barely visible on my computer. The game is a little uncomfortable beacause of the view and the size of the planets (Really difficult to have a revision on how your planets are), it's not obvious what have you selected (even when you click on Explore, for example, it looks like it turns off instead of looking selected). Maybe a much smaller solar system or just an overhead view would help much the player. Also, My citizen are not really good with the galileo's model and I have catch them pursuing a planet for quite a long time.

Toxic Towers by MiltonNH25 2017-12-11T21:04:21Z

Not bad at all! I had fun. It's a shame that when you fall you have to start all over the game. I liked very much the start, the first two moving platforms are perfectly placed, it was the best part. I didn't like that much that after killing the first boss the radiation goes off, there wasn't that much tension to feel it was a relief. I also think that "Max health" shouldn't give you more health. Congratulations.

Great Deal by sunnray 2017-12-11T20:31:41Z

As someone mentioned this is a papers please little game. But, the gameplay is kind of boring (after having fun with the fingers). I always got stuck on the evaluation (is that an ending, cause I tried working as fast as I could with no further result). The idea is nice but it lacks expression.

Shield Masters by Iwa 2017-12-06T12:12:21Z

Oh! No controller! Looks nice, just suggest making the points more fun! Gaining only one point doesn't feel as fulfilling as gaining 100, even if relatively it's the same!

Trashsucker by Hugimugi7 2017-12-05T17:42:24Z

I like the idea of the vacuum, the effect is cool but I couldn't find the interaction between my weight and the amount of garbage I carry. I find fun that i can sprint just hiding the vacuum clear. The punch mechanic is weird and clearly unfinished, I think attacking with the garbage would be much more fun and engaging with the original concept. Ignoring the fact that the is no end to the game (I kill the monster and cleaned all the level) the execution was pretty good.

Edit: I read the "Enter for next location" doesn't work for me on itch.io, as well as "Escape". I had an error punching the air.

Didgeribug in da place ! by Hippunk 2017-12-06T13:09:55Z

Nice game, some remarks:

-ZQSD? Why? Another type of keyboard I guess?

-I had some annoying lag playing your game, I don't know if it's just me.

-The phantom bugs are pretty annoying, maybe the could disappear once you clean your bullet, because after a while the running strategy is the best choice.

-The idea of ineffectiveness of the bullets is the real deal here but the rest of elements become annoying to explore that mechanic. The waves increase incredibly fast, so after 20 seconds of play you start shooting without looking which type of bullet is your next. Less enemies and with less speed could turn a fast paced usual shooter into an strategy original one. Would like to see that.

-I loved the music and the design of the bugs, simple but beautiful.

Overall it is a good entry. (342824 points, I guess not really bad?)

Crosstalk by shinyogre 2017-12-10T16:01:47Z

I couldn't really understand the relation between the shapes, I could see them but didn't know what to make with that information. I almost reached silence in a couple of "plays" but always got stuck. The white noise is supersmooth and the game pretty relaxing. Original concept.

Eat And Poo by AL19890604 2017-12-06T13:24:01Z

I don't think it's difficult only because of the level design but of the unresponsive controls. The idea is good but every loss (after the first two or three that is funny to see the character) feels frustrating because the more I play doesn't give me more knowledge on how to beat the level. The game is eat something so you can run, avoid everything else, but the layout of food is made for you to pick up extra things and arrive to the end of level with little time. That is not really rewarding for the player. Also, besides the progress bar on the top right, a visual mark for knowing where is the end of the level would be a nice touch. The election of controls is a little weird, as both space and up arrow are classic jump keys. Keep coding!

Greed Mania by pcmxms 2017-12-10T15:26:09Z

I really enjoyed this game I played until I was satisfied with my score not when I was bored. It was simple but very well executed. The only thing I didn't liked was that the spawn sound was a bit annoying.

Don't get drunk by tulipekoni 2017-12-10T15:17:54Z

My comments:

-Smooth shaders, and really good idea this game is just shader stuff added, love it.

-The theme was a perfect fit on this game. Simple, yet original and fun.

-Únfair deaths, no room for error is not so fun.

-Points were boring, just one by one, without taking account of the beers you had, or the red cubes you avoided, even the visual number was not making a favour to the rest of the visual.

Molly's Space Nursery by Beebo Studios 2017-12-07T10:19:07Z

Simple game with cute graphics, I liked the design of the game, the night-day counter, the "cooldown" info... very tidy and nice. The difficulty goes in such an expected way that it doesn't hook the player. Not bad!

LD42 — Running out of space

Writespace by blinry 2018-08-19T13:58:00Z

Wow, this is great you really squeezed this wonderful idea, difficult but beautifully constructed. In my top 3 of this LD. Congratulations.

Overwrite by stevenjmiller 2018-08-15T18:28:25Z

This game is marvelous, I'm specially into puzzle games, but I can see how this can work for a much broader audience. The mechanic is, from my perspective, original as hell, and the level progression is perfect, never having a level too difficult in comparison to the last. One of my favorites so far.

3x3 a tale about friendship by oskarOlausson 2018-08-16T10:19:35Z

Great puzzle game, simple but original. My record is level 9: 305 blocks, my trick in the block selection avoiding the blue block as possible and taking the ones with the biggest number of ghost, which is a super block. I really enjoyed it, congratulations on the music too.

Sofamino by shide 2018-08-19T14:55:19Z

Cute game. I'm not much into timed games, but I had fun playing this one for a while. Some comments:

- I would like to see if I'm placing or not a yellow object.

- Sometimes i've already screwed up a bit a level and an object becomes unplaceable, I would like to skip that object and not having to wait for the timer.

- I would like that height of the objects is calculated automatically. Or at least that I can't have an object with some portion over the ceiling.

- Levels start to soon having a lot of furniture. I would like some more levels with less furniture, specially with weird shaped ones.

The game is pretty polished, beautiful, and the music! With some tweaks you have a fun game in your hands.

Djabo by thomas-olsson 2018-08-14T17:01:29Z

Wow! Great visuals and sound design. During a time I though the game was too easy, giving me too many bombs, I was mistaken, the final part of the game is really tense! I loved it. Incredible polish and game in general. For saying something that I didn't like: the font. Sincere congratulations!

Deck Adventure by Le Slo 2018-08-14T12:37:41Z

@thomas-olsson Thanks!I'm planning to write some kind of post-mortem. The idea changed quite a bit during the process, but I focused on the dual purpose of gaming design (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5C1Uj7jJCg) and the game is kind of inspired by "Cinco Paus" from Michael Brough (https://smestorp.itch.io/cinco-paus)

@9ryu108 Thank you! If by lvl system you refer to having different levels, I can't really see how to do that, I will think about it (taking in consideration the "running out of space" theme). And actually it is possible to win the game if you survive long enough, there is a card you haven't seen yet. Probably it's a little bit difficult (little playtest).

@bastian Oh! A bug! That's a shame, the code checking the running out of space should recognize as a possible move, but somehow you can't make that move. I'll check that out! Thanks!. There is actually on the initial screen a button that leads you to the instructions. The problem I think is once you click the play button you can't see that screen again! There isn't a complete description of every card but the types of move you can do. I always leave to the player some space to explore.

Deck Adventure by Le Slo 2018-08-16T11:26:56Z

@caeonosphere Yes it has something to do with checkers, you are right. It wasn't planned at first and when I discover it I tried thinking to adapt it a little more, but found out that somthing like concatenating the jumps would kind of break the game as it was, so I decided to stay apart from it.

@micdoes Yes it is a bit hard, I discovered a bug in enemy's health and attack, they should increase a little bit later in the game, but its to late now! And I completely agree with the icons, and descriptions, the interface was pretty different 5 hours before from finishing, there was a lot of text which I tried to minimize, now it's clean but didn't have time for make it clear for new players!

Deck Adventure by Le Slo 2018-08-19T15:04:54Z

@haberworks Thanks! Did you draw cards by jumping dead enemies? You can also jump enemies to attack them. There is an equilibrium to maintain between killing, blocking enemies and drawing cards.

Deck Adventure by Le Slo 2018-08-21T19:30:10Z

@jazmin-giolito, @irhileth I always have troubles to explain properly my games in a LudumDare, I focus too much on polishing as much as I can everything else and in the end, specially for this type of events, I should worry in people understanding easy and fast how to play the game, as they may play only for a little time. On the other hand I love games that aren't really hand-holding the player, but that means working extra hard on the visual and auditive feedback, making it even more difficult for a jam. I think in a couple of jams I'll find the equilibrium.

Thank you for playing and giving feedback! It's always rewarding.

Proto Dash by huminaboz 2018-08-19T16:06:27Z

This was hard (last level!) but very fun, I completed the game, it's quite original. The shorter the dashes the fastest you can advance, once I learned that, I became much better. The visuals, specially the main menu are incredible. The music from the game but doesn't fit much the aesthetic, the music from the end screen and main menu are my favorites. Pretty impressive game! congrats!

DWN by MicDoes 2018-08-16T09:57:19Z

Nice game but I found it a bit boring, here is why:

-The difference between days is sometimes seemingly non-existant.

-I hated having to open and close the phone list every time and that the phone book covered the adress of the package.

-I wish I could drop the package whenever I wanted and not having to wait for the timer.

-I didn't find the tetris package part challenging at all in a lot of the earlier days.

-I didn't like having to click to exit the tetris view every time.

-The lack of music is a shame, it helps a lot maintaining the momentum.

The Paper, please part was pretty nice, the sounds fit very well and it is actually very polished and with a lot of content. With some tweaks this could be a very fun game.

Personal Space by ProdigalSon 2018-08-19T16:14:38Z

Nice idea, the controls are a bit clunky and frustrating (some times you continue moving for 2 or 3 tiles, making harder to execute the strategy). I would have played more with the size of the level. The music and sounds are great.

Hiding Spot by toboggan 2018-08-14T09:28:03Z

This game is awesome! Loved the concept. There are a couple of levels with the same solution, but on the other hand there are levels that I find challenging for only 48 hours. Congratulations!

XORN: The Fallen God by ThibaultAr 2018-08-25T08:41:57Z

The presentation is perfect. The main issue with this game is control, the attack action sometimes queue up and is not very reliable, making the combat a bit frustrating, it also happens with movement. Also the aiming doesn't feel accurate. Music is great, on the other hand sounds lack some intensity, they are not paired to the rest of the game's greatness. Giving physicality to a game with sounds is key to deliver a powerful product. The pace of the game works perfectly, I liked buying cubes a feeling saver for a while while avoiding enemy attacks. You can "jump" over holes without much problem, which make the space part a little less important. Congratulations, with some polish this game could turn into a truly fun game.

It's Raining Pillows! by Nessa 2018-08-14T19:17:30Z

Solid and polished entry, not very original and lack some deepness in the mechanics, but I enjoyed playing one game.

You May Live (YML) by SachaY 2018-08-15T10:04:35Z

Incredible! I've just made a collection on itch.io to remember to play this game later. A lot of content and interesting/meaningful decisions. Found some bugs, undefined days to stay, numbers written in strange places, but nothing that spoiled the game for me. Great job!

Bookbinding by caeonosphere 2018-08-14T08:48:47Z

I'm not very good at this game, mainly because english is not my native language. Otherwise, I loved the idea of using a bookshelf for this theme, I myself wanted but couldn't find a nice mechanic for this aesthetic. Really solid entry with very relaxing music. Congratulations!

Cluttered Mind by HAUO 2018-08-15T17:57:17Z

Unique! Doesn't fit the theme in mechanics but in aesthetics, and its beautiful. Really intriguing game, continue to experiment like this, please.

Groundfall by Arcus 2018-08-15T18:06:50Z

Well, I have GM2 so I could play your game. It's a bit unfinished I must say: the collisions don't work well (you can get stuck in the blocks), once you collect all the coins nothing happens, the character moves too slow... There is definitely some work to do. I looked at your code and I can see myself when I started, so I encourage to continue to improve your skills. Keep coding!

Pyramidion by Matank 2018-08-15T09:39:43Z

Cute graphics, not very difficult game but I loved your interpretation of the theme (running out of space as you climb up the pyramid, genius!). Last level of the pyramid is easy. More variety of snakes could be nice. I enjoyed it, congratulations.

Shapes by Truc_e 2018-08-14T08:57:36Z

The change of shape that needs to be eaten made this game different from other "eat smaller characters" games. The game is fun, it just need some polish in the graphics and sound departments. +1 for the font humor.

Grave Heart by very dark lord 2018-08-14T17:20:51Z

This was great, really polished. I don't have much more positive to say that it wasn't said before. I wish the tutorial font was the same than the controls screen, I guess it was less readable in some case but it helps much for the mood. I played for longer than I expected.

Build Build Build! by Ceasar 2018-08-14T16:47:24Z

For now it's pretty easy, I managed to have 0 refugees and tons of wood and steel with little effort. It would be nice if a type of building keep selected to build several in a row easily. I liked how things are explained and you always let the player take a look at the rules. Good luck working on this game, I hope it's a nice journey!

Dodghell by ChicoDeLosMates 2018-08-21T18:13:28Z

Great idea! General comments:

- Hit box is too big, is this on purpose? - Balls colliding are unpredictable but really fun. - The counter between levels kills a bit the pace of the game. Seeing a player arrive to the court should be enough to understand what is going to happen. - Sounds and atmosphere are great. - I wish there was a little more of movement freedom, but I understand you made it simple to adapt to mobile games. - It becomes harder and harder so fast that games last very little. Maybe some powerups or ways to get rid of enemies, or make their throws slower. - HP is a little weird it feels like I have an extra live.

Fun game!

Dice Builder by KnithGuris 2018-08-19T14:06:13Z

Cool game! I didn't like the timer (specially since you can rotate and mirror the dices you are playing with, so there are tons of possibilities, more since the edges of the board are connected!) and the size of the board (too big) but the mechanics are simple and that makes the game really elegant. I found aesthetically a little poor but very polished. Congratulations!

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Omelettes by stevenjmiller 2018-12-04T14:59:29Z

A lot of interesting levels, almost all of them. I missed the sacrifice part, more levels where you are forced to lose eggs, I guess that was the idea? The aesthetic is a classic for Steven Miller, solid and coherent.

dropboy by torcado 2018-12-04T15:26:22Z

Very polished, original and interesting. Another awesome game by Torcado. The start was a bit repetitive (you could rotate or invert the level, only to sacrifice different directions) and the lack of sound and music is sad, but you can play with your own BSO!

CyberMayan by alareo 2018-12-04T15:27:52Z

@ilseroth It's not loading time, there are some sounds playing that represent the actions.

Alms Crown by toboggan 2018-12-04T14:52:42Z

I loved the last level, not sure if it was the designed solution (cynpvat n obk va gur onpx bs gur fgehpgher) but seemed very refreshing and clever. As it is said, the readability for heights is awkward, but you can play without any problem. Another great game for toboggan.

Movement Garden by jackkutilek 2018-12-04T14:49:14Z

Every level is completely different, making this simple puzzle game into a gem. Congratulations!

LD44 — Your life is currency

RogueLife by Gipzo 2019-04-30T12:58:00Z

Ok, so there is a lot of good work here but there are some things that could have done better. Some thoughts:

-The level generation is great!Fits very well the minimal aesthetic. And loved the minimap, this was the best.

-The enemies sometimes appear too close to the player when a room is generated. Could rooms be bigger so there is more space to create interesting situations. Also the maps are a bit big, a turbo mode for backtracking could be necessary.

-There is an excess of particles and screenshake. The former specially for missed bullets, if that bullet made nothing why so much visual feedback?

-The range of the enemies should be the same that the visual range of the player, moving slowly let you kill enemies without them noticing you. You can also change the state of the enemy when attacked.

-The game is too easy (I quitted with 600 health), you can simply fly fast around rooms without killing enemies, searching for yellow hexagons (there are a lot) and rooms with upgrades. This actually fitted with the happy music since there isn't much tension in the combat.

-What floor/galaxy/place I'm in?. The first time I touched a purple hexagon I wasn't sure if I was progressing or the game restarted, some feedback here could be nice.

Good work!

Pulsation by stevenjmiller 2019-04-30T01:30:25Z

As always you find an interesting and hugely innovative concept.(The only thing I missed is some music or atmosphere). The lack of undo is frustrating, specially when the execution is one or two pixels away from the solution, and the mechanic itself is a bit unpredictable, so some levels (a lot of pulsations available) become hard work. Apart from that, classic Miller consistence.

Lifeless by Kaisean Games 2019-04-30T13:44:11Z

This was nice, and funny! The sliders was most confusing part, so it was the only one I've skip, and also I don't know any joke in english, so I kept them to myself, sorry!

Fehu by graebor 2019-05-01T16:25:54Z

Wow, a solo effort! This is nearly perfect, the music and sound design is flawless and suits the slow movement and cryptic story. The gameplay and "puzzle" mechanic are a beautifully similar. The puzzle mechanic is not very interesting, but because it's like the macro movement and because it grows between the 3 levels is perfect to match the rest of the work. This was amazing!

This Game Sucks by tinykidtoo 2019-04-30T23:27:34Z

Indeed the music is very nice! Atmospheric that suits the gameplay. Loved the title. The game is clearly unfinished but it had potential to be a nice stealth game with a creepy atmosphere.

GARUA by dietzribi 2019-05-01T17:53:12Z

The audio and amount content are the best part of this entry. The art is nice, but all the movements are too straight and the gui is unfinished. Gameplay wise a classic metroidvania with a good level design. The final boss has this phase when his shoots horizontal barriers, where unless you have a lot of health and don-t mind thos bullets you have to wait is a bit boring, there should be, for example also some vertical single bullets to force you to keep moving. The other phase of the boss is very good, with different possible approaches. This was a very good entry, good job!

Alien Easter Cat by goerp 2019-05-04T18:48:26Z

Hey, the fact that this game is originally planned for C64 is the best! The only problem is that is pretty easy to win, you can just let your character move around and it will possibly survive the occasional bullet. I liked the idea of the shop where you decide how many shields and bullets you want. Nice work!

Carl Currency - Expert Exchanger by yazara 2019-04-30T17:15:45Z

Uff, that was fun, it took me a bit to plan how to make the assumptions but finally I got all. Apart the music recommendation, I think once you find the perfect value for a pair there is no more sense in repeating customers of that kind. I even has twice in a row the exact same change. Apart form that very good literal twist on the theme and a beautiful gamification of a maths problem!

Mr Moneybag by managore 2019-04-30T09:15:36Z

Very solid system that works great and it is already greatly fun! Couple comments: -Movement can be a little bit faster. -I missed some intructions on the game (I downloaded the game and close this page before playing, so I couldn't figure out how to shoot coins). -Some incentive for going down floors. At the moment the best strategy is to clean up every floor, there could be a risk-reward thing when going down to add more spicyness. -I think coins some times spawn on top of each other.

Great job!

Devil Slots by CarlosPidox 2019-04-30T12:26:18Z

Although it's obvious the game is unfinished, I had fun with this one. I had too many negative outcomes with the gambling system, I think you can make more times being positive outcomes with smaller number and less times being negative but with bigger numbers, I don't know if I'm clear. The music and feel was pretty good (the orbs moving toward the player was very nice!). With a little more work this can be a great game.

Seaway by Constantin 2019-04-30T16:21:26Z

This game is amazing. - Some of the game information would be nice in game, like controls or that there is the possibility to upgrade or change weapons. Not that I found where to upgrade or what other weapons existed, I found what I thought it could be a harbor, but nothing happened there. - The combat is a bit frustrating, everything goes too fast and I need to aim and move to opposite directions. Not easy with only one mouse. - Were this game truly shines is in the exploration department, the world looks stunning and looks varied thanks to color changes. I would like to see a game like this expanded.I realized reading that there is a peaceful mode, well that mode is a 100%. - I almost forgot, the music! Wow!

One of my favorites so far.

Zap Signal by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2019-05-04T17:24:59Z

Hey! The game looks very nice and it seems that with a responsive audio detection this could be super fun! I've tried it on Chrome and not sure if it was the game or the micro on my computer, but I had several problems with the game detecting the audio. Also, sometimes the game displayed a bull's eye (not sure how to say it in english, the spot where you are going to shoot) and sometimes it didn't, even for the same type of enemies, not sure what was that. Congratulations on making a super innovative game!

The Tail of the Serpent by Le Slo 2019-05-06T13:49:28Z

@pl4typus Hey, thank you for such a detailed feedback. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. To answer your question: - First, is that I really didn't had time to polish perfectly the levels, there are some mistakes in there as well as unwanted solutions. I'm currently working on a redesign for the 25 levels. That said, I think I work with two different types of level: - The polished random things in a level: Usually for making levels I start adding a bunch of things to a board and play with that, trying to find the limitations and powers of the player. I usually prepare some easy levels and I try to beat them overthinking them instead of solving them the easy, known way. Then, if I find something solid, I just look at ways to block the easy solutions. I use this type of levels to let the player get used to some presented mechanic or concept. Most of the 8-15 section was this type of level, I wasn't familiar enough with the mechanic to confidently divide it into small things. - The levels emergent of a concept: If during the tests I find a specific set of moves interesting, I would try to do a "tutorial" level, the rarest the set of moves, the harder the level. These are actually the good levels, and I hope one day I did a game with only levels of this type. These levels obviously need too a lot of testing (or a solver) to determine the lack of alternative solutions. For example, final level wasn't correctly tested.

I hope this gives you something to think about for making puzzles in the future! I've you have any questions, don't hesitate on asking me!

CurANTcy by HacksawUnit 2019-05-04T14:34:25Z

Addicting, simple but very solid art style (beautiful palette, small detail of hands of different colors is nice) also minimal sound design very well implemented. The game is pretty simple but for that reason the execution is perfect. Congratulations!

Darkest Decision by pmarincak 2019-05-01T16:13:03Z

That audio and that atmosphere, amazing. The game has you in with the first second, the smily character is very well written (combined with the perfect matching sounds), and all the art is superdetailed. Little by little, I began to question if I really know what my decisions costed. At round 7 I started to play randomly (a lot of villagers per week, except on week 9, where only 3 decisions), until I finally died. Apart from the lack of weight on the decision, this game is one of the bests of this LD. Keep with the amazing work!

Gachapaw Dungeon Crawl by Don Fouts 2019-04-30T23:19:56Z

Nice graphics and cute execution of a classic dungeon crawler game. The difference between the sound of attack and the animation felt pretty weird. Also, the only time I reached the final boss (I wish I could have killed it in the first room)was without buying any upgrades. The balls moved way to fast, they were clearly the dangerous objects (and the skeletons) because the enemies were in general pretty slow or easy to hit because they were stuck. The music is cool!

Blood 2B Rich by brklipel 2019-05-04T11:46:18Z

The trick is to start buying an upgrade, possibly the money one, since you have enough time to save money to make your life easier. That way the game becomes too easy. In that way the game isn't very well balanced, if you don't buy an upgraded from the starts you will die more probably, since the speed of the decrease of blood or happiness is higher than the rate of money incoming, then each time you need to buy something you will have less money. That said, I really had fun with the game discovering how to win, and had to try a couple of times before doing in. The art is pleasant and the music suits correctly, the interpretation of the theme is perfect. Very good job!

Phantom of the Malá Strana by maoap 2019-05-05T11:15:03Z

This is pretty great! I really like the sounds and the gameplay, not being able to see what is in the pocket unless you are close enough is a great idea. However, the control of the snake hand is a bit awkward, since the corners are made on the wrist and not on the end of the hand. In general the personality of this game is huge, very good work on that!

Pucamuc by Mors 2019-05-01T11:11:12Z

Wow!I never expected so much quality content here, the mechanic of jumping is innovative and very well crafted (the difference between pressing right or left on air or before jumping it's sign of that). I would just say that the sound of jumping was quite repetitive, but beyond that my sincere congratulations.

Fateful Dealings by vfqd 2019-05-01T00:32:53Z

- So I've played 3 times and I didn't really get in what is based the score. I guess blue cards are bad? But how? When is the The End card appearing? My last run was clearly longer than the other two, was that a sign that I was playing good? My record is 6, is that bad? - The timers in the cards were pretty confusing, and stopped me from reading the stuff on the first run. - The sounds reminded me to element crush. that combined with the setting and how the conversion of cards works, perfect atmosphere. - The swapping, change of cards was a nice mechanic. I would love to replay if I understood better was my goal. I actually already had fun trying to uncover the secrets of the game. - Since there are timers, I wish the cards stacked into a single pile per type of card, with the card with the least time on top. Good job!

Hell's Pinball by Valden 2019-05-01T09:27:44Z

Wow, really slick pinball! Around 550,000 points, I had a hard time trying to enter the ball in the box, and with 1 life remaining I entered it the 3 times in a row: "Hell in 30 seconds". Let's go! 20 seconds left "__L_", 12 seconds left "H_L_" 7 seconds left "H_LL" and with all the tension, I kicked the ball, went slowly up just to fall between the two flippers. What a moment! The art is super nice and the music wraps up this masterfully crafted game. Congratulations!

Board Life by Serious07 2019-04-30T13:12:28Z

This was pretty interesting! Dice throwing was too slow, and once you have a lot of visited tiles it's boring having to click on several to reach a new tile, some pathfinding here could really help. The game is pretty balanced, it seems difficult to lose but I never had more than 72 years of life, which seems very real. Congratulations!

MeltUP by caeonosphere 2019-05-01T07:59:33Z

Nice art and vibrating music. The control of the game was a bit awkward, but I think the genes were suppossed to make that beter, although it-s hard to get different upgrades and not losing them. The game is not very original but it is extremely well implemented, specially for a compo. Good job!

Nutty Twins by Supernapie 2019-04-30T17:50:10Z

Hey! Nice puzzle game! It is a bit hard to control and results on frustration while playing. The level before the last one was the best one, different coins to taking using the fullest of both abilities. The last one, I think I found an unintended solutions, because the blue jumpy guy didn't need to respawn and I didn't use one red switch. Good job!

Procházka by Daniel Jenikovský 2019-04-30T13:18:33Z

This is gorgeous, congratulations! Extremely gentle and relaxing, I shared this with some friends because it's a delicate piece of art.

Stretchy Cat by Engyne 2019-05-05T11:42:13Z

Great art. I missed an undo key, felt that the end level was too long and levels in general were straightforward, except for 1 or 2 at the end were you can see that there may be potential here. The best levels were where I needed to move the cat a couple of moves to use it as barrier to push the obstacles to somewhere specific. Apart from that the art is great! Keep working!

Roboxery by cozmic 2019-05-01T01:49:57Z

The idea is good, but the level design is not the best to make the mechanics shine, as you have to repeat actions, making monotonous the gameplay. Apart from some bug movements (a box in the wall), the graphics are nice and overall is well executed. Also some music would have been great!

Arrow of Light by sylvie 2019-05-01T01:09:50Z

Wow, this is smooth, long and very fun! I completed the game (I wish there was a "secret" in the first world, not that the amount of content is not enough). The arrow mechanics works supergood, I specially loved how your jump slows down when throwing an arrow. I've missed different enemy behaviors, specially since the sprites were different (they do different damage, but something like movement, or more health would've been great). Incredible job!

Coin Puzzles by Mika la Grand 2019-05-02T22:27:59Z

The idea is nice, and the puzzles are well made (In some of them there are extra coins). However the game need a better telegraphy for the weight of the coins, at least to know when a button can be pressed. Also the movement in the air when taking coins is a bit weird. Keep working!

Jukebox Panic! by Kaish 2019-05-01T10:40:25Z

Nice game, smooth physics and innovative for this jam. Not have much to say except for maybe some feedback animation of where a coin is going to spawn in case you have the cursor around there, happened only once, just a little detail. Great job!

Cowry - A game about change by johanhelsing 2019-05-01T08:31:10Z

Simple, and a bit too short (only one challenge), but the theme was deep and interesting and was very well suited with the music. I would like to see other combinations and how change can affect us. Good job!

The Right Coin by damantisshrimp 2019-05-05T11:31:51Z

Nice polished little game! I like that the difficulty increases fast, but maybe too fast? The coins multiplier were the key for making this an original game, well done, simple but effective. Congratulations!

A Cup's Life by Anderssonkev 2019-05-04T10:37:58Z

The game is superpolished! I would recommend doing little variation on the pitch of the movement so it the variance makes the sound feel less repetitive. The art is cute and beautiful, the animations very detailed, and the whole vibe suits very nicely with the music. The weakest point here is in the design and level design, difficult to know how much water a drop will give, how much water will I spend on an enemy or how far I can reach with my current water; nonetheless level where almost trivial, so "solution" almost pop up when looking at the level, that makes the game much more accessible, but there isn't a real difficulty curve. Beyond that the game was very fun to play, good work!

cut'n'align by neguse 2019-05-05T11:55:46Z

Wow! I think this game have a lot of potential, is a unique take on the block falling game. The current version is a bit too plain but here are some ideas or comments about the game: - It would be nice to know one turn (or more) ahead where a X is going to be placed. Maybe for consistence X could also come from the falling blocks you are cutting, or at least fall instead of being placed in a specific tile. - There is a lot to do with combos and how many pieces have you cut. For example, now it is possible to cut the pieces one by one, having lot of control, that should be penalized (for example adding an X to your queue). Something like cutting 3 pieces and creating different groups with the cut pieces can multiply your score. - Making the queue unable to pass through a column of pieces can make a lot of interesting gameplay appear. Something like you have 6 objects in the queue, which won't grow again to 6 unless there are only two remaining objects or I manually decide to grow the queue. I don't know if I'm expressing correctly.

Again, I genuinly like the idea and think you could develop this a little bit further! I would be happy to hear if you are doing it, let me know if you do so!

Good work!

Pay Me in Blood by casperj 2019-05-03T13:14:08Z

This was a great puzzle game, haven't seen much on this LD. The mechanic is very original and fits perfectly the theme. Of course undo is a must in puzzle games, and the game lacked some more levels, you could totally work a little bit more on this game and release to the public. Awesome work!

Blood for Blood by tapehead 2019-05-01T14:21:36Z

Very polished game in art and sound, the gameplay is original but I don't think the game is very well balanced, I don't really see the point on getting upgrades since I never found a difficult moment. By the way, very nice touch that there can't be grass on the corners. Congratulations!

LIFE Corp by pl4typus 2019-05-06T13:29:30Z

So first, i love the postcards between levels and the lowpoly scenarios are also a strong point. The idea for naming levels is pretty fun too. Unfortunately gameplay is too raw, control is difficult, there is no feedback when losing health and death is so imminent that is difficult to know why. Since the player has no weapons and he just need to jump to the back of the robot, the game is then a platformer, and so the scenario and movement should act together to enhance that quality of the game. It took a couple of tries but I finally could beat the second robot!

Escape from the Bank by KreGames 2019-04-30T12:37:19Z

Nice random generation. Moving against a wall still makes you lose health, you should consider grid based movement, it would make the movement much more engaging to the player, instead of having collisions and acceleration in a narrowed space. When you win there is no message as there is when you lose.

bird food by kyavi 2019-05-04T20:17:25Z

Oh! You did too a snake game! Hahaha. I have to agree with the above that movement is a bit frustrating, because you can move half a unit, sort of speech. The mechanic is nice, couldn't say otherwise since it's similar to my game (except that the snake is the guillotine). Keep coding!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Matchstick Elegy by stevenjmiller 2020-04-21T18:24:33Z

Very nice puzzle game! Pretty brutal to be honest, it is difficult to plan ahead with the rolling mechanics, takes some time to get used to it (so much that it feels it is possible to add some levels to smooth the difficulty curve without making filler levels). And you even continue adding elements that combine meaningfully with the rest of the game, it is very impressive. All that presented with some dialogues that help build a mood and story, excellent. Very happy to play again a game of yours.

Cat Dad Redemption by Riftpoint Entertainment 2020-04-21T18:54:16Z

This was incredibly fun, it was great to see a new way to play with the mouse, the sound + mechanics makes you feel like a real western, the voice acting did a great job. I have nothing to tell you how to improve this game, honestly, outstanding job.

Morse Code Hero by ratly 2020-04-23T18:18:44Z

Hahaha, nice idea! I didn't really figure out how to get the multiplier up and found that lines needed were too long (and dots could be actually pretty long too), you could display what is the symbol the machine is interpreting when doing it so it becomes clearer to the player what he's doing wrong. It was fun to play with this and I actually learned some morse code! * -. .. -.-. .

Livefire by lonewookie 2020-04-23T14:25:36Z

Hey, nice take on the theme! I really like block falling games and this was a very inventive variation. I'm not sure why the game started directly in the level 10, so it was difficult to plan ahead, but after a couple of runs I had everything figured out and was pretty good at it. I actually have to say that the game is actually a bit easy, I got to the point were I was handling everything with no problem, and after reaching 250000 points I got a bit bored. My strategy was try to put always the water in the boundaries and the rest in the middle, this way everething balance nicely without overpassing the half of the board. The down key was a bit awkward too. Apart from that I missed the excitement of forming combos, not sure how you could do it with this mechanics, but it is always a good way to keep player hooked and add depth to this kind of game. Really fun game, really, one of my favorites of the jam so far and that with a polished more developped version I would sure be hooked for some days!

Genomix by Herman Chau 2020-04-21T21:58:30Z

Hilarious and solid entry! The game is quite easy, but the presentation and writing are so good, that it compensates clearly. Played a couple of times to see the different branches and writing. Well done!

The Heart Of The Keep by BluShine 2020-04-26T10:40:05Z

The mood is excellent (suits perfectly both the writing and the audio) and the choice of colors beautiful. I played for all the endings (I think), I would like that the choice of the objects wasn't only in the last room, so the game feels less linear, my favorite part was actually hearing about the crack in the wall (despite the mistake) and finding it. Great job!

Fire Keeper by mechanicallife 2020-04-24T18:14:23Z

Wow, pretty impressive the amount of content and mechanics you have here: wind water, flame, sliding, jumps, different timers... great work on that! I played on keyboard and had the same problem that madalaski describes above, when an horizontal key push was considered a slide so I lost a lot of times in the levels with wind. I did encounter once a collision bug where I ended inside the walls and couldn't exit, but since levels are so short (great design choice) it wasn't much of a big deal. The sliding acceleration and jumpìng felt specially great, the music fits very well the type of game, the tutorials were well paced (although the water tutorial felt a bit cheap because you just learned to slide and as it is fast, you don't have to read the text and react). My sincere congratulations, with a bit more of polish this game could be just awesome!

Last Lantern by tacohej 2020-05-05T20:09:22Z

Excellent mood, in no time I was in the zone with this game, unfortunately I spent quite a lot of attempts trying to solve the first puzzle with crates without knowing how crates worked, after a while and reading the description I saw that there was a new control, mouse right, it would have been perfect to show a cue when finding that first crate. Also those levels I found a bit unintuitive, the lack of telegraphing the monsters line of sight (for atmospheric reasons it couldn't be other way) made a bit difficult to plan accordingly and I found surprised but how fast the monsters could reach me when trying to place some boxes, but probably I was approaching the puzzles in a wrong way. This entry is a complete delight, congratulations!

GhostVac by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2020-04-22T20:48:15Z

This is awesome, my favourite bit was the reflections of the screen of the floor, it felt so real! Little arcade simple but fun, not very fitting the theme, but extremely polished (except for the lack of music, some bit tunes or similar could have been a perfect fit). Outstanding!

Elevator Orator by Le Slo 2020-04-22T15:24:48Z

--Comment duplicated, sorry for the inconveniences--

Elevator Orator by Le Slo 2020-04-22T15:35:28Z

@stevenjmiller Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the yellow section in the how to play, probably Vertical Letters could have done a better job, but it didn't occurred to me while doing it. I'll probably change it once the rating phase is done (too late, but hey, it is what it is).

@ed3187 Thanks! Confusion is common in my games, but more because of negligence than design. I had very little time to make the game (I started sunday evening), so I predicted some lost players at the start!

@lairinlair Very much appreciated! And I agree with you with the non-native speaker difficulty, I'm spanish, so I'm pretty bad at the game too, hahaha.

@anoushcat Thank you for the feedback! I 100% agree with you, because I'm spanish so I sucked at the game when testing (I was afraid some bugs appeared at high scores, but as far as I know everything works fine there).

@elmos-minion Haha, thanks! FWIW, everyone gets Awkward silence at the end, it's more a highscore endless word-er runner than a game with an specific objective.

@joe-wright Thank you for your comment. You are right, that is one of the things I most regret, not giving a proper feedback (not even a SFX...) when failing to write: in a vertical line you can only have a distinct letter and you need to chain the letters, so I you have undo you could do: undO - Orbit, or unDO - DOmino, but not something like uNdo, Nothing. I hope that clarifies something! Thanks for playing!

@neuronezero Hahaha, I do take the elevator where I work, and when I'm not shy, I almost always ask the question "What's your favorite food?" It's an easy one, and always last longer than talking about the weather. Thanks for playing.

@patrik-l Thank you very much for your kind words!

@raivk Wow, very glad you liked it! My current record is 18, but I heard some people, don't want to discourage you reached 100 floors. I need to learn some english. The trick is to use small talk (short words).

@llwyd Thanks! I'll consider the phone app!

@rubyleehs Thank you for you kind words! Yeah, apart from making a bit clear the objective, the procedurality of colours could be better (I got 4 yellow bars in a row in my last run) as well as the logic of the black bars. I did think of triple letters, maybe it's possible while preventing players to write a word and then its plural, because that's basically a free floor.

@winterbeak Thanks for taking the time to write! That's an awesome score, far beyond my record. The current max are 15 letter words, I used some TXT with english words and that was all, and yes, that will be a very awkward conversation for an elevator ride! Mmm, the pause trick is interesting, I'll see what can I do about that, thanks for pointing it out! And yes that's a know bug, I changed the last minute the length of the initial word without changing the colour filler function, so that's a bummer (specially if it appears in that first five minutes of confusion!). My classic words are: sand, dome, lie and error.

@argon Very much appreciated! For the dictionary detection I had 14 files with each one all X letter words (from 2 letter words to 15 letter words), then I add them to lists at the start of the game (I have separated them because in the windows build the load time is much longer, so I could add a loading screen that changes depending on the number of letters of the words being loaded so it's not just super boring), once having that, a basic search to see if there is a specific value in the list whenever the player press accept or space and done!

@palsina Thanks for commenting! Sorry about the confusion, I tried my best with the little time I had (I only had half an hour to prepare the how to play) so it isn't clear what to do, hopefully mechanics aren't convoluted enough to let the player understand the as they play. Thank you for playing!

Battery Panic by HacksawUnit 2020-04-21T19:21:22Z

This is a very fun (and original) version of a block falling game. The controls choice felt awkward, and I kept pressing no matter how may runs I played, the key up to rotate the peaces, ruining a lot of levels. Also the score systems per levels is no the most exciting. Apart from that the bit feel, the colours, the music and sound effects are super polished and consistent. Excellent job, had a lot of fun and probably play times (it would be lovely to see an expanded version of this game with more possibilities for combos (the only thing I missed, but the lack of it didn't make the game worse)).

MACHINA by Harry Alissavakis 2020-04-23T12:43:09Z

Hey, I played a couple of times and I must say that the level of visual and audio polish is huge, congrats on that! I have some comments on how to make the game better, I'm gonna repeat stuff others have said, sorry about that:

- Since robots have a visual field not restricted to cardinal directions and diagonal, some sort of warning "In range" can be good to know where to place.

- I agree that the "tutorial" text is a bit long, there should be an option to skip it. (It was fun, and a very nice touch that once you've played it doesn't appear again).

- The random generation is very unfair, something like be sure to add a minimum of walls can already make a huge difference. I lost because I was in one level with only one wall very close to a corner.

- Sometimes the exploding robot exploded with no reason? Not sure why.

* The turns are a bit slow, and the audio of spawning gets a bit annoying, despite being a super cool sound. I think all the robots could spawn at the same time. * The patterns of attacks should be centered to the mouse, that would make much more intuitive placing them * Sometimes when clicking a card, it was used immediately without me wanting to. * Since the robots where flying it was a bit difficult to see in which precise square they were, some shadow could increase the level readability by a ton. * Since life is a percentage, when I took the +HP MAX, I was unable to see what was the improvement (I was at 100%), also in my first run I started picking an +attack update, and after losing I started again and because I wasn't killing robots with a single shot, I thought there was a bug. This is because of two reasons, not GUI or graphical information of the powerups I've got and no graphical information about robots life. * I think robots should still move when you block the path finding with a defense card. Maybe a simple 360 degree animation can work.

I think that's all that cross through my mind during my time with your game, it was a very good experience, don't let all those comments make you think otherwise, you really did a superb game. Keep the good work!

MACHINA by Harry Alissavakis 2020-04-23T17:42:34Z

By the way, I pretty much agree with the lack of movement of the player, so it becomes more of defend the base than planning some cool tricks. Some possible options: there is always one free movement, player have some kind of range for certain attacks (you can experiment with cardinal attacks too), the blue orbs were well thought, but giving them so much power made you that you couldn't add more than one per level, so they could be temporary (only for that turn) or for example new cards. There is a lot to play around with this idea, good luck exploring it!

Leafy Hero by Guilb 2020-04-22T17:35:14Z

Hey! Nice idea! Pretty original, but too difficult to be honest, caterpillars and worms are just brutal or probably, If you have bad luck you can lose immediatly, I think there should be a way to defend yourself (some ideas: I way to defend yourself, a circle when a cell is in a catterpillar spot to stun the catterpillar for a bit, healing broken leafs or roots being cheaper, whenever your plant grows, it grows from above and below, the roots are specially a weak spot in this version). I actually managed to win after a couple of tries, and my plant didn't grow any other leaf, I guess I was lucky? There is definitely potential here to do a great game, the concept is awesome, the graphics very cute and the music fitting and manages to don't be repetitive. Keep the good work!

Tower Defence of the Heart by terry 2020-04-22T14:20:07Z

Very solid Tower defense game, with a good difficulty curve, a complete upgrade system and the ability to sell without losing money the towers gives it a special touch, when suddenly you need to rethink frenetically what to sell or to buy for defeating a specific enemy (usually short waves of strong enemies, once the enemies passed some optimized parts of the map). Great fun!

Soul Seed by unept 2020-04-24T17:40:16Z

Excellent entry, polished and with enormous potential for further developing. I didn't encounter any problem (maybe the platforming is a bit rough but the game is more than playable), the music was super moody and the art matched everything else. Congratulations!

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-21T14:43:47Z

Very nice clicker, with some minor innovation, great job. Some comments: The screenshake when killing a soul is a bit too much, when choosing between the options after filling the story progress bar might be holding instead of just clicking (I clicked by accident a couple of times (when not noticing the top GUI in the web version, because I kept clicking), also after "finishing" the game the ritual thing stopped working and I needed to do manually all the work. Apart from that, relaxing creepy music, beautiful hand drawn art and compelling voice acting. Great job!

The negotiator by Belea 2020-04-21T20:10:58Z

This was a very funny game, with a very original take on the theme, congrats for that. I wasn't sure when the bar went up or down, but the conversation was so hilarious that I stopped paying attention at the bar just to see the terrorist behaviour at my responses. The sound was nice, the text a bit too small, and the Nokia model was excellent. Congratulations!

Keep it alive... what? by Guy Withivy 2020-04-22T17:13:01Z

Funny little game, but it is possible to win? I did a perfect coding run, visiting zero friends (super cruel, but it wasn't my first time, I just wanted to watch the ending) and I still didn't finish my work, I'm definitely not the best coder I guess... Some logic puzzles were nice, but maths? Not very fun to do some simple calculations. Also whatever choices I did, I passed through all the questions and situations, so I guess time stretches to my will, something like picking some random events (and not all events) would give replayability to the game, the same way as reordering the answer for the test, so trial and error is prevented (but difficult to do with those cute pen and paper drawings). With some small changes this could be pretty fun!

Keep it alive... what? by Guy Withivy 2020-04-22T20:30:06Z

Hey, I thought about that possibility, I actually played 4 runs:

-Helped sometimes and worked sometimes, a balance, those actions were organic to me. I got this ambiguous ending where I didn't have time to finish the job, and neither humanity. That's when I though about the humanity ending.

-I helped every one of my friends and didn't care about the code. I got a gameover ending and I thought that was the end if I followed that path. (See run 4 for future realization).

-I did a perfect work run, avoiding every friend and answering correclty every test. Another bad ending, that felt a bit cheap, it would be better if I kept the job, but at what cost.

-I tried again the humanity run, but paying attention to the code questions. I won the game. (When I asked for impossible to win the game, I should have used different words) Now I see that there wasn't actually gameplay sacrifice when helping friends, which is not consistent with the story in my opinion. Also since the theme was staying alive, how will they live after losing the job? The intro is a bit misleading. It is a good hearted message, and I enjoyed the intentions, but I think there are some inconsistencies that make the game not as powerful as it could be. Nonetheless I did enjoyed a lot the game and think you did a great job, just trying to show some criticism since giving well thought feedback is my favourite part of the jam, so it's not just a competition of making games, but an opportunity to learn, trying to point what are the good parts of a game and the flaws as well as listen to others criticism (as long as it is constructive). **Keep the good job**!

Arrhythmia by Bodaciouslycrazy 2020-04-24T13:53:48Z

I loved the heartbeat mechanic, and I think it can be explored further for a really interesting survival game. The game was intense but the bottle mechanic didn't really click with me (maybe some radius effect feedback would have helped me to understand where I could throw the bottles for maximum effect), I passed through the enemies without problem. Art is very nice too and sound was ok, needed more feedback for terminals and door openening, and less volume to the bottle crash. Something pretty unique, I hope you keep exploring this, very nice job!

Starship Clicker by neuronezero 2020-04-21T20:49:48Z

Hey! I've been playing this game for a while, the systems of water, power and food is the best part, so I'm not sure I understand why the data and subroutines are there (some kind of pace, but that doesn't resonate well with the rest of the game), I would focus in the best part of the game to properly introduce to the player. Because, as other have said, it is difficult to see what is happening at first. In general the GUI can be better (text, more use of colours to indicate states), I also missed some kind of "free all bots" buttons, or something greater than the unit. The game is fun, but it should encourage the players to stick more with them. Also it seems like the maintenance system consumes water but that don't appear in the game GUI? Well, there is definitely something here, keep working and you'll have a great game!

Sunlit by palsina 2020-04-22T13:58:55Z

This is a very innovative idea very well executed that was already an incredible experience, I would love to play an extended version (more trees, flowers...). The art was very simple, but seeing the whole tree after a while with all the different colours is gorgeous. I got mad at my tree a couple of times when being stubborn to grow in a direction I didn't wanted, but hey, it's a tree, i understand we have comunication problems, specially when I'm hurting him for my own benefit. Apart from that moody music (that didn't loop very well and got a bit repetitive after a while) to wrap up one of my favorites ideas of the jam for now. Outstanding job!

Blazerunner by Raivk 2020-04-21T21:36:51Z

Graphics are awesome, the polish of the menu is incredible (apart from everything else). Unfortunately performance was not the best in my computer so I couldn't enjoy the game as it should be, but I did completed level 1 and tried the second level a couple of times (even more mechanics!). Level design was a bit confusing, and I got "lost" a couple of times. The work here is impressive.

Game of Life+ by Teo Miklethun 2020-04-22T18:47:09Z

I really love the concept, the game works great, but it is sooo difficult at times and sooo easy at other times. This is definitely my favourite approach to conway's game of life, for sure. Some things, Z to undo is pretty universal by now, so having the U to undo was awkward, the game didn't presented well the idea of being able to use moves after start pressing space, the glider level was definitely my favorite. I'm stuck in the 4x4 green square. I'm not sure if levels could be any different, but I guess it can be even more difficult to design levels for this. Congratulation, I really liked your entry!

DANGER! Alien Cow Thieves! by Shredmer 2020-04-24T22:29:43Z

The pixel art is incredible, the biggest strength on the game, the gameplay is simple but fun and the music works perfectly. Some thoughts: -The collision for the melee attack is very small, it doesn't fit the animation, specially there is no attack from the back and it looks like a 360 hit. -The wall jump was unexpected, I played several runs without noticing it was there wondering how I could reach the platforms, I tried using bullets to do that, but the knockback is (obviously) uncontrollable. It was maybe unnecessary, although it matches really well with the wall enemies. -Some UFO abduct cows too soon, there should be a larger minimum time so it doesn't feel unfair. -The melee attack sound is a bit repetitive, specially once there are a lot of enemies (a when I say a lot, it's A LOT, the pace of new enemies is super steep, some wave system as mentioned above could work perfectly with this game), I recommend for this adding some random small pitch shift, this can make a huge difference. -Because the priority is to clean the board from enemies, the coin mechanics doesn't add more depth to the system, you just end up taking points by accident. Also you are already given points when just killing, so I don't really see the point (no pun intended) -The combo system worked strangely, I think it stops if both you take a hit or enough time happens, there isn't really a feedback for the latter, and I think it could be juiced up further. I think that is all that went through my mind while playing. I had a great time and I think you did an excellent job, keep on!

HYPERHOP: GALACTIC LANCER by Swanijam 2020-04-26T10:58:40Z

Wow, excellent game! The graphics are specially top notch. I would love the abitilty to speed up / skip dialogues and scenes (specially the latter once I've seen the first one and are allo the same). I was able to complete the game without using the dash ability (I didn't see the options before playing) although I did have some annoying moments where I think it could have helped me to win earlier. The gameplay in the 3 planets it's actually the same, that's a pity because they look so different, maybe the hearts can be moving in one of the planets, or the hazard (like the lasers) could follow you, this simple touches can be enough to make the gameplay feel fresh for a jam game. The zoom in the camera when you take the big spear to enter the planet after hitting the third heart is a bit too much. I think that's all I have, congratulations for the awesome game, I think there is potential to add more planets and galaxies, add more story background... if you wanted to expand the game. Great work!

Oaks & Pines by Argon 2020-04-21T22:21:58Z

What a pleasant experience, it seems that it is impossible to lose (since the trees will always have an "empty" middle spot, fire will never propagate into the forest) but I did enjoyed during the first 150 turns. The art is beautiful, and the music + sound effects build a very nice atmosphere. Another detailed is that the cursor is centered in the sprites, but I think it should be in the bottom of the trunks (as the would be planted). Excellent travail!

The man who watches the time pass by TPZombie 2020-04-21T15:58:03Z

Beautiful story! For me the day third was a bit abrupt, but nothing too serious. Also how to exit the bedroom and the placement of the door was a bit awkward, as well as the walking SFX was a bit too loud. The greatest strength here is the mood created (and the art of the clock! Marvelous!), congratulations.

In A Game Wherein by SSStormy 2020-04-21T14:19:18Z

Amazing idea, I loved it. Simple, intriguing, well written, surprising and perfectly executed. Some atmospheric BSO would have fitted well the game, but the game is not worst without it. Congratulations.

Primed by gimblll 2020-04-23T07:46:59Z

The movements of the camera are great, the style is cool, and the feel is impressive (a bit too much of recoil when shooting), unfortunately there is almost no gameplay, the game just serves as a joke (a good one). You have the power to create a very good game and this jam game proves that, keep with the good work!

Eat preys, love by anoushcat 2020-04-21T19:13:13Z

Very cute game, the game on controller is nice (the falcon movement could be smoother) and I really enjoyed gaining velocity when flying, which is my opinion, with hunting, is the best part, but in a way there is not much encouragement to explore the city, since you can always find pigeons very near your nest and the pressure of owls flies over when trying to go further. Apart from that relaxing vibes and polished camera and graphics. Great job.

Macrowave by Prox276 2020-04-21T22:34:02Z

Very well done game, my only complain would be the use of the mouse buttons for attacking and grabbing, but not for the attack direction, having to place the player awkwardly to the sides of the enemies (although you did think of that spawning the enemies at the correct places and also with the size of the board), I think that an inconsistent input method, using space could have worked better. Apart from that, excellent polish to the sound and art departments, great job!

READ THE LABEL by winterbeak 2020-04-21T22:12:20Z

I really laughed with this one, several consistent modes, funny animations, hilarious descriptions and very creative approach to the theme. Can't say anything else but congratulations (it was a bit hard to read fast for a non english native, but that didn't stop me to continue trying!

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-21T15:22:11Z

So cute and funny! The art is marvelous, maybe the colours were a bit too muted, making peripheral vision almost useless. I played in medium difficult and although the hype bar was at 90% the cat seemed sad, I was unsure if i wan or not. The tutorial is well paced and even when it seems overwhelming I had no issues while playing. A perfect combination between cozy and frenetic. Awesome job!

Feed the Fire! by Tommeh 2020-04-21T21:22:40Z

Nice idea, however the game mechanics are all over the place, everything is about to click, but unfortunately I couldn't finish the game because of those little dissonances. The frenetic pace of fuel usage makes hard to enjoy and perceive the game as a exploratory metroidvania (that also tries to be), combat is awkward and life short (I need to wait for new hearts <> I need to rush), I'm not sure what the day night cycle adds to the gameplay, the inventory is a bit too restrictive, combination of 2D and 3D. I had fun, but I believe this game could be much greater, if those rough edges are polished. Also a detail is that the bushes are hard to spot, and I missed them the first two times. There is a ton of potential, but for me it lacks focus. Good job and keep working!

Mother Bird + Flamethrower! by InefficientChunkOfCode 2020-04-22T17:56:33Z

Hahaha, I loved the "Maternal Instinct" warning. If the game is a survive as long as possible there should be some kind of timer or point count. Also, as other mentioned, what's with the mouse sensitivity. Enjoyable little game, congrats!

Clerical Error by PhantomBadger 2020-04-21T14:26:10Z

The idea of avoiding the fireballs with different characters is cool, the game plays well, but it is pretty easy? I won twice in a row. I couldn't figure out what the last spell did, and think that the second spell was very powerful once you have more than one party member not maxed. I think that there is potential to the attack patterns, more interactions with the party member (where they different in any way?). Maybe it makes sense to explore this idea further, simple but compelling. Good job!

Tundra Tumble by Smol Fries 2020-04-21T21:47:14Z

Hey, the game is so beautiful, I really like the texture and colours of the background. Gameplay wise the game is a bit shallow, it is possible to go to the top and don't press any key (not rocks or snowballs spawn at that height) and drift to the igloo at the last second, making the game quite easy. Also, even when it's a nice touch to take and drop the egg, there isn't really a reason to do it. The first time I just pushed the egg to the ramp, and i didn't know that I lost (or why) until I reached the igloo, I had to read the description to understand there was an extra key to grab the egg. The music is soothing the atmosphere and was a pleasant easy experience, keep working!

Karot Fetus by Dawide 2020-04-21T13:46:28Z

Super polished, the background art is incredible and the music is fantastic too. My only complain would be in the gameplay, although fun at first, its gameplay loop is super short, there isn't really anything that incentivize to move around the map, that would have make the game much more dynamic. Apart from that impressive work!

Keep It Alive by Deadwave Games 2020-04-21T15:37:48Z

Both the soundtrack and the writing were super well tangled. It's a shame that once the song ends it doesn't loop, so the mood is a bit killed. Also I figured out that the choices weren't really choices, just an illusion of choice, so they weren't really adding anything. Please keep writing and making music!

Necroban by Auroriax 2020-04-21T14:04:15Z

Hey! Nice puzzlescript game, a bit confusing at first, but after learning how to play there are some cool expansions to the mechanics (specially level 6) that are very fun. Unfortunately, after level 9 levels are easier than I expected (than the previous ones). Also the Epilogue surprised me, but in the end there wasn't no challenge there, so from a puzzle perspective that was a disappointment, although for the narrative side was a very nice addition. Great work on having a single map with all the levels. Great job!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Memory Lane by Ava Skoog 2020-10-26T16:04:29Z

Interesting take on the circular platformers I have seen on the jam, with a strong commitment to the story, which I found very cool. Platforming was not specially fun and I didn't manage to understand how clouds worked, but the game is short enough to deliver a very nice experience. The audio is carefully made and the level of polish is remarkable, very good job!

SNAKE SNAKE SNAKE by Sheepolution 2020-10-06T14:38:59Z

This game is a gem. Simple, original, beautiful and stylish. I have not a single thing to mention that I think could be improved. Congratulations!

Limbo Library by Herman Chau 2020-10-07T13:30:51Z

Wow, amazing amount of content and generally pretty polished! The game is very fun the first few rounds, but after a bit it gets repetitive to pass through the same rooms (although you did manage to reduce this feeling gating paths that can only be used with the blink ability). Seeing the same room changed, like with the poison tiles, was also a way to reduce this feeling. Apart from that I found a bit frustrating to reach a dead end and not have a way to fasttravel when you have almost 30 seconds left, it only happened once per playthrough though. Finally wanted to praise the consistent art and animations and the fitting music and SFX. Congrats on the game!

Blank Tape by Greet 2020-10-06T13:14:39Z

Very nice! I love the sounds when pressing Q and E, and the general aesthetic when rewinding. The platforming moving was a bit floaty for me, but that didn't stop me to complete the game. Great work!

Saisons by Gaming Night 2020-10-20T17:36:19Z

Incredibly moody and elegant adventure. I really loved how tiny everything was (although text should be a bigger, not easy to read for everyone). I got immersed right from the start, the visuals and the audio were really tied up creating a strong and unique experience. Audio puzzles were nothing too original, but they were introduced very well and really part of the story. Congratulations!

Enclosed by Daniel Jenikovský 2020-10-07T15:28:45Z

This looks incredible! (Reminded me of Manifold Garden), the graphics are plain, but the effect of falling in an infinite room is priceless. Apart from that I would say that the first 4 or 5 levels felt like real levels, but after that I felt like I was not going through the designed path and objects started to look randomly placed, giving more of a taste of exploring environments, which is also a nice feeling, but I don't think both type of levels fit in the same game. The jump button was almost innecesary (except the level with the columns you can jump over to reach another spot), and jumping doesn't feel good (it's very short), I think the game could've work without it. Apart from that a nice ambient music to wrap everything together. But really, there is potential here.

Light footsteps after the rain by Chocolat-Endive 2020-10-06T15:47:08Z

I really enjoyed this. Personally I think that you are not doing a favor to the photographs when blurring to overlay the text on top of it. I wish there could be a way to have only image and sound and no text. Apart from that tiny detail I really felt like I was going on a quiet walk under a quiet rain (AWESOME generative music) Great work!

Threaded Loop by Guillem Serra 2020-10-06T18:49:37Z

I like how the world starts appearing everytime you solve a level, also the art is very good. However it took me a bit to understand what was happening. Despite that, good job!

Crocodial by David-Liddelow 2020-10-06T13:41:10Z

This was a genuinely interesting and fun game! Despite having fun I couldn't reach the end after several runs. This is what I thought while playing: - There should be some kind of invencibility frames after a hit. I died a couple of times with full health in less than a second. - Some obstacles are hard to read at that speed! Specially the rocks, in general obstacle design could be much more contrasty with the background. - The last problem was specially hard once I wanted to look at the wheel, trying to place a new spell, so in the end I stopped looking to the UI. That maybe is my fault, because there is a way to slow down (risking getting hit by bullets)to look, but when I tried to play like that I felt like the game wasn't at its fullest. - Moving and rolling the crocodile felt and looked incredible, great work on that. Congratulations!

Infinite Rainbow Tower Smash! by madbookstudios 2020-10-08T11:32:00Z

Just wanted to say that the design here is really clever, very good risk reward system with very simple rules. I think there could be some minor tweaks that could create more interactions: - Having more than one ledge per floor. - Drilling to the sides let you jump over a ledge so you don't fall to the next floor.

Maybe none of those make sense, just went through my mind while playing and I wanted to share them with you. Nice job!

Loopy Luke by Donamougou 2020-10-06T13:23:44Z

This was a fun little game! I would have liked a fast forward button (a way to accelerate and slow the train) for when in a second lap there are big portions of track with all the targets already hit. Apart from that I agree that 2 hit and 3 target should have some feedback to understand that they were hit the first times. Nice work!

Oscillator Panic by tjm 2020-10-06T19:24:18Z

I think it was last ldjam theme was "Keep it alive", there were a lot of "game of life" inspired games, but none of those quite hit it like this one, amazing job. It's not really a puzzle because it's difficult to plan ahead, but it does feel like an adventure escaping through this nostalgic monsters, and where the pace works fantasticly. I greatly enjoyed this one, keep the good work!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Push Stack by stevenjmiller 2021-04-27T10:55:35Z

Ok, this is interesting, so much that it took me a while to understand it. One of the biggest problems I had was that I thought the turn was coded from above to below (movement, crates), while it's in the opposite direction, I think this was caused by level 3 tutorial (the first value...), because we are used to read in that direction. Once got it I solved (for the moment) half of the levels, which are really impressive, different and surprising, the other half will take me a couple more days. But once again, impressive entry!

Grafa by unpronounceable 2021-05-10T10:35:37Z

Hey! I've been playing this for a couple of runs and it was pretty fun, I got 48, 49, 49, 50, and 51 points. It's pretty easy to dig through the whole deck, but getting rid of the hand is the difficult part. The start of the game can also be quite interesting when you don't have a hand with red cards, making more cerebral every decision, however the middle part of the game is usually pretty bland without much interesting choices, and clovers kind of drag the game down at this point, despite being the most important cards for the endgame. Not really sure how to prevent that though. I also played a 2-player variation, where the rules are practically the same except for: -If a player can't make a match in their turn, they steal a card from their points pile to their hand, and pass their turn. This is for avoiding suicides to win a game. -Final score is the number of cards in the points pile minus the number of cards in the hand when the game ends (meaning that the digging pile will be completely dug every match). We had a lot of fun and will probably play more, even with more players(?)! Great job with a unique entry!

INSIDE the BOX by IcyLava 2021-05-01T12:01:37Z

Pretty interesting idea! I really liked the direction of exit mechanic combined with the game, and it is very well used in the game. The levels were pretty easy, even slightly repetitive, but it is clearly a minor thing given that you had to design that meny for the metapuzzle. The main problem with the mechanics is the visualization when there are several layers involved, is hard to keep track of where the locks are, so I had to revisit a lot of rooms in order to see where I could progress, but not sure at all how to fix this (some sort of map? Display some information of the previous room or subsequent? Hard to say). The music sounds very nice, but I think it doesn't suit very well the puzzle mood. Art was simplistic but clean, and movement feels pretty nice. Very fun to play, congratulations!

Patchwork by Herman Chau 2021-04-27T23:06:28Z

This game is absolutely gorgeous, the mood fills the whole room while playing, and the zoom like style gave me really strong Gorogoa vibes, congratulations! Art and music are on point, the first incredibly varied and of amazing quality. The way the puzzles interconnect is very nice, but most of the puzzles themselves are a bit on the bland side (I mean, this is normal given than this is a 72 HOUR jam game). Awesome entry, again, very sinceres congratulations! Love your jam games, and this one is a real gem.

Infinity Dive by keepee 2021-04-28T10:02:40Z

This is awesome. Super simple concept, but the presentation and specially the sound design, is top notch, this is a great example of a perfect jam game, "straight" to the point and unique. Congratulations!

Keke in the "Caves of Peril!" by Hempuli 2021-04-28T12:48:45Z

Wow, that was a blast! Nice and consistent set of mechanics, I like how something simple like the "only grab object if pushed against something" rule is what makes this game so intricate. Level were difficult, but never unfair, and with a lot of variety between them. I miss an undo feature as well as some sound, but game jams have some limits. Congratulation!

depthscraper by lexi 2021-04-28T15:07:10Z

Very nice casual puzzle game, the rules are consistent and simple, and the game is in sweet spot of difficulty, it is possible to continue almost indefinitely as long as you are planning things. Clean graphics, althought the game isn't great in a graphic design perspective. Sad that it had no music or audio. Great job!

Earth Deleter by Ray-Flower 2021-04-27T18:37:06Z

Good looking game, although the pattern of the tiles don't always match the space of the tile, which is different from the video in the description. It's basically tetris, but the TNT gives it a bit more fun to the game, basically mistakes are rarely a problem, so it becomes just a fun destruction game. Some music would have been awesome. Nice job!

Nuke The Sun by ManuXbL 2021-04-28T11:47:30Z

Very hard game with a cool idea (the morphing lava was interesting, it is possible to predict more or less how it will become in the next step, at least with a good amount of probability), the worst part are the controls, the ship goes very slow, and the screen moves way too fast too soon. This could work well with mouse controls, and/or, with a screen that only moves forward when you are near to the right limit of the screen. Good work!

Moot by Peco 2021-04-29T19:15:49Z

The art here is incredible, really gorgeous, I love it. The audio design is also excellent. The mechanic is simple, I would love to had more "surprises" like in the third level, making this more an exploration / puzzle, that simple puzzles, and I think the art really backs that up. What a deligtful game!

Deep Jupiter by TevasLiutauras 2021-04-27T10:38:17Z

Oh, very neat! Nothing too innovative, but the game is perfectly polished and the story is surprising. I lost the first time because I found confusing when the alarm sounded (I think it's both for the inclination of the ship and the objects nearing, right?). I always wished that text was faster or that I could skip it (obviously this would change the game length). The musica was relaxing, but I don't think it matched the mood very well, specially at the end. Great job!

Deep Dive by Lossypi 2021-04-27T13:12:51Z

Oh, pretty interesting! I loved the control scheme, never saw something similar. I had a very tense (in a good way) time playing these, how the enemies and objects are showed like in a radar, the scan waves returning gave me a couple of jumpscares, the soundscape fits incredibly well. I wasn't sure about what shooting was for, since enemies didn't really responded in a clear way. I found the oxigen tank mechanic a bit off, since in a run I couldn't find any tanks, so it's just a matter of luck, it would be great to have a slower way to gain oxygen but that puts you at risk. Apart from that, neat little innovative game, congrats!

Asteroid Breaker by GibsS 2021-04-27T23:25:12Z

Wow, very cool entry, very well polished, fun, everything tied to the core, building a distinctive concept over a more known style of game (digging games), best of these that I played so far. Solely I could point out that (trying to give some feedback), even having a generally very clean look, the crystals didn't match the aesthetic and that it would have been cool to drastically change the colors in each layer, to give some change and visual progress to the game. Congratulations, awesome entry!

Deep Sleep Explorer by Raivk 2021-04-28T09:08:45Z

Very nice wario ware like game, with solid minimalistic art style and carefully produced sound scape. The majority of minigames are simple enough to understand at a glimpse how to "solve" them, but I had problems in a couple of them ("Kill the fun" comes to mind, the different faces were confusing), but this was rarely the case. Also the amount of minigames is impressive. To point something out, I think the minigames weren't very dream related, making a less cohesive theming of the game. Keep the good work!

Tap Trick by Salman_Shh 2021-04-27T19:03:00Z

This is so slick! Awesome game feel and presentation, weird but interesting and innovative control scheme. Audio is so cool and refreshing. The biggest flaw I think it's in the level design, probably some sort of level 2 should be level 1, because the first level has a lot of "moving" parts, I would love to have a save environment to understand better the controls scheme. In general, I think the shape of the levels is unfair because the biggest danger is at the end, and losing all that progress when about to win, except on level 4 and 5 where it makes much more sense. Apart from that, I had a blast playing this.

Iceskimo by PurpoAppo 2021-04-27T17:26:31Z

Pretty simple game well done, on the easy side in term of difficult. The graphics are also consistent and fitting, I laughed at the idea of fire hidden inside the ice. The sound was a bit hard to listen to, thought, it would be my biggest complain. Good job and keep coding!

Clockwork Abyss by Alexascher 2021-04-29T20:14:38Z

The game is stunning, the sound is really really nice and the game is super polished. I got really caught in the mood. In term of gameplay, I don't think the game is super balanced, there are some items that are very good, almost crucial for survival, that led me to the victory, my other runs were immediately frustrated by a couple of fish that appear low on the screen. For example, some sort of horizontal movement would have helped in this. With some adjustments this game would be a super solid experience.

6 Feet Under by theStoff 2021-04-28T17:38:56Z

That was really good, very polished, loved the music, and the mechanics are incredibly fun (and are a lot of them). I had a lot of fun, but I found the game too hard, in general level design is very strong, but need a couple of polish in the difficulty.

For example stage 2 of 1 foot under was very difficult, already demanding a lot of specific techniques (which is really cool, because it shows the depths of the mechanics) but with the possibility to die, making it more frustrating. (Btw, there were some islands in the bottom part that I don't really know what they are for, maybe for speedrunning?) I liked the 3rd stage much more, confined space (= safe space), with the different problems very clearly presented. For the hazards in 2 feet under (I think) it would have been great to be more visible, the mines are good, but fire and specially static spikes, were difficult to spot at that speeds (bigger or a 3rd color would work), and I enjoyed them much more when you were presenting a plarforming puzzle than just laid around.

At first, I thought not having air movement, even the slightest, was a bit counter intuitive in terms of game feel, as the slowness in the character walking speed. I got used to the first one pretty quickly, and I loved that the zombie run or walked, according to the momentum, really nice touch that show again how the mechanics of the game are deeply thought trough.

Very solid entry! Great work!

Ocelot Safari by pancelor 2021-04-27T08:34:58Z

Nice system! I played for a while, crossed 2 rivers, survived for some days. Unsure if I quitted before I should, it didn't seem to be a greater objective. I couldn't figure out what the rocks are for (creating walls to prevent the ocelots to steal your gear?), I wish nights were a bit faster or at least having something to do on them. Also, stealing SFX should sound even if the object robbed is not in screen, that made me confused a couple of times. Neat!

CQns by PizzArt64 2021-04-27T17:56:17Z

Very good looking game, with a lot of polish, music and sound wrapping altogether. The problem here is the game play, I managed to beat one boss (there are bosses! and was probably the most easy and satisfying combat during my playthrough), but the combat again other shapes feels very "grindy" (look forward, attack, hope to hit the enemy, hope not getting hit, back up shoot back, repeat), but with the size of enemies, and there ratio of shooting without it being telegraphed, as soon as you have two near shapes with an intercalated rate of fire, you are pretty much dead. The idea of picking which character based on what is on the screen, is super cool, and I think this could be expanded by balancing the combat. Great work!

Lucky Lefty Loves Leftovers by TheBookSnail 2021-04-27T16:46:28Z

The controls were very nice! As well as the art and sound. But was the game just about bringing 50 pizzas across the same very long level? After almost 10 minutes I hadn't reached 20 delivered pizzas and the game changed only the amount of slices per round. The idea of "Best time" goes well with levels that take a short amount of time. The core is fun to make some kind of quirky delivery physics based game, but the level that is in the game right now doesn't use the potential of the system at its fullest.

Y-Sokombanator by --0 2021-04-27T08:59:49Z

Pretty interesting game! My biggest complain right now is that it needs a local restart button, but I imagine this may have a lot of ramifications that I don't see at a quick glance. This happens because I experimented a lot, and had several moments finding out that I was softlocked by a movement I did way earlier, so losing that progress was hard. Great work!

BUGGED by Mr.developer 2021-04-27T14:01:13Z

The game looks amazing, sounds incredible and feels great. Playing was fun, however I had some problems with the main mechanic, the fact that you had to kill hosts by exiting them 3 times, was a bit dragging, made the end of the levels always boring (because it was tedious, you just exit to reenter the same body various times), this is specially noticable when the guns appear in game (the last level was very intense), you already know that you will win, you just need to do some extra transactions. Apart from that, very neat entry, congratulations!

Cutting Edge by Notan Lemon 2021-05-08T12:26:45Z

Really nice puzzle game, short but with quality levels! It feels like there is a lot of extra possibility space to explore, so it has potential to become something bigger if you want to keep working on it. Very nice work!

Archeo by zimny11 2021-04-27T16:04:06Z

Fun game! Very easy, but enjoyable! I think the multitasking starts to get a bit ueven when you have enough money, so it could benefit from an idle clicker type mechanics (hire people who clean or dig for you). For a long time I thought that the red text for the prices meant that I couldn't afford, and I almost died, then bought a lot of stuff and starting clicking and moving the mouse like crazy. Nice job!

Miningsweeper by Nick Barrash 2021-04-27T17:16:23Z

Oh, nice multilayered minesweeper, I wish I could see at all the clues at the same time, as well as being able to mark some tiles (even if with a cost), so I do not need to repeat deductions. Combat feature and store were nice additions to bring greater depth (as well as the different enemies and hazards as you descend). I think the idea and core mechanics are very well thought, but the game lacks a bit how to present them to make the game easier to play. Great job!

sp0rm by Derean 2021-05-03T11:51:47Z

Pretty interesting QWOP/like game, difficult to manoevre, but that is the point of the game! I managed to make somewhat decent times after trying for a couple of runs, the movement itself is interesting and original. I would have loved to see the sperm move it's tail in the main menu when pressing the keys, acting as a tutorial. Also really nice touch the change of music when pausing the game. That was fun, and I imagine that much more playing against a friend!

Bunny Box Breakout by BangKerpow 2021-04-27T16:23:33Z

Very cute match 3 spin. I was confused about how to free the rabbit at first, I think it was in level 5 or so that I understood that it had to be a 2x2 square to the bottom. I beat the game, and the difficulty it's very well adjusted, last levels were intense. I like how the 3D make a bit more difficult to see the pairs, changing a bit the feel of the match 3. The real time aspect of making changes was a bit awkward, makes groups break even if I separated them. Also a bit unsure of how the clock worked, I guess it has something to do with the number of tiles broken in the last turn, but it is unclear so it's hard to make a strategy, I was just making pairs as I saw them. Nice work.

Underneath by HumanIsRed 2021-04-27T11:11:16Z

Ultra cool looking and super neat music, this is a very carefully crafted and polished game. I completely forgot to use the rmb ability until I went to write a comment, but I went back and it was definitely helpful for some parts, I wished the tutorial that presents it forces the player to internalize it better. Apart from that I did feel the player was a bit on the heavy side (momentum can go crazy, and imagine without the rmb power), and that the spike collisions were a bit too big, falling into the unfair side instead of "wow, I ALMOST died". I also had some problems to get away from the wall when sliding it, specially in narrow corridors, where I didn't want too much force. Very cool that you are presenting mechanics bit by bit, and particularly the reflection wall mechanics feels very refreshing and unique for these type of games. Great work!

Unfathomable by tjm 2021-05-05T09:06:55Z

Interesting buoyancy mechanic that however feels sometimes frustrating because of the slowness of movement. I would like to see something similar in a more exagerated way in smaller levels, I'm seeing some potential for "platformer" puzzles, where the pills need to be taken in an specific order, while currently the game is a collectathon, where you can go to the next area once you grab all the pills (yellow area was the most interesting). Also enemies were really hard to avoid, they shot a lot of bullets in very big arcs or with a randomness that made them even more lethal, fortunately the pills wouldn't respawn, so dying felt less punishing.

TETIS by aeon 2021-04-27T17:43:16Z

The start reminded me of qomp by Stuffed Wombat. Breaking the expectations in fun way. The movement wasn't very confortable, and I think the hardest part of the game was in the first screen, this should be probably the final puzzle. Also found weird that dying closed the game. Great idea for a game that could be maybe polished and expanded with other mechanics.

Subsanity by cannashblue 2021-04-28T11:31:46Z

Greatly executed game, not innovative, but very polished. The art was fantastic (except a bit of problems in the first section with one of the background tilings), level design was nice and the section of the sharks (even being easy) is a nice point for the flow of the game, perfectly accompanied with the music. Apart from that, I would say that I would have played with arrow keys (always enable both, if you have the opportunity) and that the first saving icon confused me, because the SFX sounds only when you are healing, and the sprite doesn't change in any way to let the player that something happened (I didn't die, but I'm expecting those are checkpoints). Very solid entry!

Carpet Flea by MrPouletBZH 2021-04-27T09:30:56Z

Super cute art (although some of the hazards like the lava didn't read correctly). Level design is good, although sometimes there were some spikes placed unfortunately, combined with the mostly unforgiving collision masks, made me a little frustrated at times. Music was a good fit, and neat that you pulled of a level selection menu and the extra challenge bonus objects. Probably the weakest point is in the movement of the player, it feels a bit floaty and not very smooth, apart from that, very fun!

Deepest Point by 7Mar 2021-04-27T23:37:59Z

Nice! A very well designed fast paced dodge the things in the corridor. There are 2 things that I liked about the design: 1) You'll always need to move to dodge an obstacle 2) You can't hold a key in a direction constantly to dodge an obstacle. This made unfairness of the randomness completely gone, great work on that. The downside is that the intensity is always the same, it would be nice to have some changes in speed, or pace, or a ring that broke one of those two previous rules, to give some flow to each run. Graphics were simple but effective and music was slightly repetivy. Very good job!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-27T13:48:27Z

Mmm, nice game, serious theme handled correctly. The models are great, and the mood of the scenes are very good (nice reinterpretation of the main theme using effects). The starting screen, with the eyes, doesn't fit the rest of the aesthetic, I also would have enjoyed making the eyes dream by holding the mouse instead of clicking a button (breaks immersion). The "puzzles" felt weird, there wasn't a clear sound cue of when the exit portal opened, and had some troubles in the first 3 levels (1. why I had to interact with the bookshelf? 2. the point was to get the toy car near the house? The portal opened after a while. 3. The idea was to put 4 toys in jail?). Apart from that I liked the movement system of toggling running instead of holding shift, interesting, and a bit unsure of why the character had a jump action. Nice work!

Bee Beesness by Anaxie Studio 2021-04-27T13:04:49Z

Nice idea, it lacks a bit of polish to really feel engaging, most actions lack a bit of feedback (for example when selecting actions there isn't a clear animation or SFX to let the player know what is going to happen). I end up playing for 3 years, and had a lot of fun seeing the hive progress, currently I would say that it feels like an idle clicker, as there are no threats or situations that force to change the strategy (just create foragers and a builder every once in a while). It was difficult to tell apart the different type of bees, but the pixel art is very nice and realistic! Super appreciated the menu with the volume bars and the ability to turn out the buzzing. Bees are the beest!

Infinite Descent by BluishGreenPro 2021-05-13T23:28:45Z

Hey, I've been playing this for a while, but I wasn't able to finish it, I got a bit frustrated at 80% difficulty, but probably because I don't play many platformers, besides the annoying bug (I believe it's a bug) of the game hanging for a second or two every death. The way you increase difficulty while keeping the level shape it's pretty cool, and very well done. Controls felt responsive, music was cool (although perhaps I would recommend an escalation in energy to match the difficulty (first song was already too intense)) graphics were simple but did very much the work (plus being only 2 colors). One of the most novel things in terms of platform mechanics was the "portal" that forced you to restart the level, I think it's a pretty cool way to show a fail state while being able to restart without any animation in between, and I think it was a shame that it wasn't used more for escaling the difficulty, which was only just by adding more traditional hazards. I had a good time with it, nice work!

LD55 — Summoning

Virtual Church of the Digital Goddess by Geckoo1337 2024-04-17T21:21:02Z

Excellent visuals and weird setting! The game is super polished, congratulations! The mechanics weren't super interesting to me, the classical puzzles of rotating a cube to face a specific direction can be very fiddly, although you do manage to keep the fiddlyness minimal in this prototype. The fact that you have a very quick pace of introducing mechanics makes the game feel like there is no much depth to the mechanics presented, and that the game holds your hand too much. I would love to understand what something does just by experimentation, and it suits more, imo, the weird cryptic environments you make. I noticed you use backspace as the undo key, just saying that is quite usual to have it link to "Z" as well, although that is definitely difficult for azerty keyboard I guess. Again, congratulations on a very solid entry!

Seance by alexrose 2024-04-17T22:23:09Z

Wow! Excellent entry! The mood, the story, the music, the ending (I expected something similar, but you pulled it off quite well), wow. The only point where I got some frustation was when looking for "kidnapping" having to use a hint another time in a not so obvious place, was a little mean. Apart from that I really enjoyed where quickly I got the word I knew I had to use somewhere else, the feeling of really understanding the case and the witnesses. Congratulations on one of the best games I've played so far!

Hot Wax 🕯️ by TRASEVOL_DOG 2024-04-16T18:41:54Z

Very cool idea and execution, as always. It's hard to keep track mentally of multiple fires without them turning out, but I've already seen some improvement in my strategy, so it's probably more a point of the depth of the system than a bad thing. It's a same the lack of audio, is what could have helped me to play this for too long!

If Only by Le Slo 2024-04-16T19:19:33Z

@dmitry-mozgin @gdmage @dagunov Hi! Thank you for playing! Sorry I couldn't make the ludum dare or itch page more complete until so late. I just added controls in both description.

Just saying that undo a move and restart are intended in the design. The skip level button was at first a mistake, but since there is no saving, it is pretty handy for those who want to come back.

If Only by Le Slo 2024-04-16T19:21:50Z

@wildcodeplay Oh sorry about that! I just updated the description so it features all the controls, didn't have time during the jam to add them in-game. There are very handy undo, restart and skip level buttons!

Stars Align by cassowary 2024-04-17T00:29:43Z

Very nice overall! Art and music/sound are the highs for me. The movement felt a bit slow specially the pulling block, I felt a bit frustrated in levels where there was a lot of gray cubes that I needed to pull precisely. The level design shined the most when the levels where about revealing some new configuration for the path, more than those with having to "clean" the space for the lasers. I'm very impressed by the amount of polish there is in general, very nice job.

A Grave Mistake by JUSTCAMH 2024-04-17T21:27:45Z

As always, focusing on some neat idea and polishing the concept of game from a jam to the limit. This one is no exeption, I love your style. I did find a bit cumbersome the "memory" mechanic without any hint towards what color and height will each spirit have, so you basically end up digging everywhere. I did enjoy how the second level forces you to learn more about the system and even take out some blocks in order to build what you are looking for, so I ended the game with a very good flavor. Congratulations!

Elemental Path by Luc-creationallabs 2024-04-17T14:21:53Z

Nice concept, reminds me of games like golf peaks. I missed on the highlights the square of the player to be purple, to more easily recognize the shapes. The wasting turns mechanic seemed interesting and with some potential, unfortunately it is not used much. Making a game in 72 hours is very hard, so congratulations on finishing something!

A Short Summoning by Dmitry Mozgin 2024-04-16T23:09:01Z

I would have liked either the rooms to be smaller, or the speed in general to be faster, to have a bigger sensation of speed and tension. Whenever you have two ghosts to summon, it is quite easy to reach the second ghost because you can use the first one to kill all enemies. I enjoyed the calm music and that you made a 3D game for the jam, that's impressive.

Summoning Stones by Pe7e 2024-04-17T15:28:47Z

Nice 3D graphics, amazing for a compo to be honest. Some things that I would love to see more speed, better camera placement depending on the direction the car is facing, a different control scheme (tank controls for driving), more feedback when crashing with zombies (I thought it was the point of the game! haha), make more clear that alleways aren't traversable (they make you lose life as well!). Nice work, keep it up!

Three Sigils by galactical 2024-04-16T10:35:02Z

Nice game! I got the rules pretty quickly, which was the most fun part (I like the extensions of the rules you need to make in the last two levels, I think). Also, very nice that you took the time to show generated levels after your talk! The levels I got were super easy, but having them is a good example of how this type of level could be framed and what feelings might create in the players. Some of the levels were a bit claustrophobic and were a bit tedious to execute, but apart from that I had a good time!

Trial by Combat by Gravityflip 2024-04-16T23:01:23Z

Evil defeated! Very funny, my highlight would be for the narrative, genuinely funny, fantastic work. Combat felt really easy in the first two combats and a bit random in the third one, was oblitarated on the first run but won easily the second one. Very nice work!

IWANT by CO5MONAUT 2024-04-19T10:16:13Z

I love the mood of the game, creating thoughts with simple shapes, the two boards, the simple art style. At the moment it falls more in the toy like type of game since it's quite random what thoughts atoms you get (I actually always lose because I don't have more space for spawning new tiles, and I'm lacking on specific type). The originality is off the chart, and the intention is there, I just need it need a bit more control over what you can get or not, and more clarity when actions have been worse or better than their average (it is better to attack with rock than with hug, I hope so, but since it's pretty rare to get specific combinations it's very hard to test one's questions). Great work, would love to see more of this game.

Butler! Summon the Imps! by jummbus 2024-04-17T14:31:42Z

Very complete game, not particularly unique, but very well done. I think the board could be bigger to get a better view of all the sprites, the art was super cool, and was a bit frustrated at the second world whenever I needed to "destroy" all imps, ended up with one or two, but the next pieces featured a lot of different colors. Again, great work!

Circle of Life by UniOwl 2024-04-17T09:12:59Z

Nice little auto battler. The idea of summoning using stones is pretty cool, although the connect lines part is not too interesting and hard to visualize (it is not obvious if a double or triple angle will match in the summoning circle to where other circles are), I felt like just going fast connecting whatever I could was the best strategy, where maybe having synergies between the stones could be an interesting path to take. It is also true that currently the lines are barely visible and that made difficult to understand the game intuitively, but a quick read of instruction was all I needed. Really cool to have different creatures be summoned, felt like unlocking a bestiary. Very nice work!

Summoner by WildCodePlay 2024-04-17T15:35:11Z

I agree with others how the game is unbalanced between vertical and horizontal attacks, having a camera that is centered between the player position and the mouse position could help to balance those out. Also, it felt a bit unncessary to prevent the player exiting the circle, I like the idea of having to be in the inner pentagon for filling the bar, maybe you could exit the full circle but the bar goes down? To just do it whenever is strictly necessary, with some enemies that are very well hidden behind the artifacts. Beyond that, great work on finishing a game for the jam!

Demon Business by Dagunov 2024-04-16T23:25:24Z

Very impressive for a first jam! I would have liked to have a tutorial more implicit (less the mails explicitely telling me what to do for each demon, specially since I'm supposed to be the expert), something like the notes is nice (the possibility to write in one, while not super usable, is a very nice touch) but something that felt more like investigating and figuring out in combination (more escape-room-like). Apart from that I was very surprised to see that the real game was less hand holdy, very nice job!

The Stone Summoners by GDMage 2024-04-16T22:36:20Z

I played for a bit (got 63 coins and my best animal is possibly the bear with 5 elements), but never got an understanding of the rules. I thought that order that you place the elements in the board was relevant at first, or their position, but I did several test with the "bear" elements and always got bear, so I was a bit lost at that point. The music is indeed super relaxing and made enjoyable exploring a bit the space.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Magneto De Liquidus by Ajayajayaj 2018-05-06T19:35:29Z

The idea was great but I missed having variable repelling depending on the distance to the metal liquid. Not a lot of levels but the progression was nice. Missed some music. Very well!

Magneto De Liquidus by Ajayajayaj 2018-05-06T19:48:21Z

@Ajayajayaj I mean the velocity of the blobs is always the same. That forces to control all the blobs at the same time (which you clearly used to build the levels), I was hoping more like a magnetic effect, the closer mouse and blob are, the stronger the interaction is.

The Matter at Hand by Chaseplays 2018-05-07T18:29:51Z

Wow, very impressive! I think the amount of polish is superb, and the game is fun. Here some comments:

-Once you've selected a card, there is no way to put it back in the deck, I had to do some annoying restarts.

-I believe discarding cards is useless for these levels, you almost always use all the cards.

-The levels were pretty easy, but the potential is huge. More adding new objects than investigate the ones you already presented. All were great but none was truly explored.

-Too many cards, at least, you could stack them.

-The camera movement between holding the deck and playing one card is great, but in latter levels, when there are several cards to play in a row, it's a bit unpleasant.

I've you are willing to, working this game a little you could achieve a great game.

Puzz Snake by Igor KinGamer 2018-05-07T17:20:38Z

Nice game! As they said, this game has some snakebird in his blood. In the penultimate level there was an optional yellow orb, I mean I could finish the level going up, instead of turning left to pick the yellow thing. Platforming, puzzle and rhythm, 3 genres! I had fun, and maybe there is some potential to create new and interesting levels. Keep working!

Wordelicious by ludipe 2018-04-25T20:58:40Z

Fun, Hard, Funny, Curious, Spectacular. Delicious game.

Apocalypse Tycoon by javicepa 2018-04-25T21:15:36Z

Nice game! I liked how hard it was, it helps building an apocalyptic vibe (a perfect match with the aesthetic of the game), but the sounds and music, although pretty funny and cool, break that atmosphere. I think some more random people could help build the managing ressources part of the game. Very well done!

Tetris of the Colossus by Elmeri 2018-04-25T17:37:41Z

Beautiful and unique game! Not the most polished game (there are some bugs for example with the "prediction" block, or camera issues) but clearly one of my favorites! I loved how you have to discover everything, from the goal (it is somehow clear that I needed to get upwards, and once near the head you added an rotation of the head that helps realizing what to do). Also, The music and pace (I played in normal mode) were perfectly adjusted. My sincere congratulations.

Tejuru (Tetris & Jump & Run & Digger & Unicorns) by larzan 2018-05-05T16:02:24Z

I really loved the idea and, besides some things, I really enjoyed it! I have some comments:

-It's weird that lines don't disappear as in Tetris.

-As I don't know where I'm in the map, I always start going to an edge to avoid the first block to crush me. Some position on the map, or "ghost block" to show where is going to fall.

-At one moment, after one line was pushed, I was stuck between to pieces without dying. I then realized that if I focused in the tetris part I could do great in the game.

-Calculating the pieces inner connectivity should be done once the piece is placed, or at least have the ghost block I mentioned earlier could help to build paths.

Congratulations!

7575 by Shivur 2018-05-05T14:30:41Z

Funny idea, frustrating actions, I think you captured well the idea of leading with cows. I would love it if every time you sworn, the swearing was different, as a symbol of losing patience.

Rythm is Lava by egordorichev 2018-04-24T16:29:01Z

This is awesome for the compo entry. Here some commentaries:

-The design is not really clear, the color choices didn't help me to look with the corner of the eye, and it should because I need to know where are positioned the two characters. In general aesthetic is awesome (like everything you do).

-The movement of lava goes with the rhythm, ok, so thats cool, but the music continue by herself after dying, and lava speed changes depending on the music. That makes lava a random object to make more difficult the game instead of a carefully design choice.

-The idea of two players is great! But the core of each level is repeated too many times. You went for quantity over density, I can get that, specially during a game jam. If you take out the lava are the puzzle-platformer worth by themselves?

Conclusion:

This a little beautiful fun game to play for a while, a bit too unfairly difficult.

Haka the Robber by Herman Chau 2018-04-24T10:12:52Z

Fun little game. Sometimes I found an enemy on a corridor without any possibilities of beating him, it's that correct (unless carrying an object). It took me a bit to see the potential of the crouch. I've only reached the second floor for now. With enough patience everyone should be able to do a perfect run? I thought objects were a bit weak, specially being able to only carry one at a time.

Nice work!

Frogger: The Jigsaw by loveapplegames 2018-05-07T18:36:18Z

It was fun! Weird looking but solid gameplay. A bit too difficult but I enjoyed a lot the first two levels.

Risky Squad by mortus 2018-05-07T19:59:09Z

Really cool idea! I played alone, but it was a really fun game, the red ones, trying to close every entry and the blue ones, trying to remember where I could go. Blue won (Makes sense)!

Idleshot by boaheck-artgent 2018-04-25T17:08:49Z

That was fun, I like the combination of genres, pretty clever. I think there is a problem with the costs for the turrets, the amount of jellys you get per wave is ridiculous in comparison to the prices, specially if you can lose them quite easily. I loved opening doors, having new places to explore. Very good!

A Puzzling Combination by Noa Calice 2018-04-24T17:01:44Z

This was fun! Not very two genres, but really fun. I guess if that ability of shapeshifting from our friend puzzle means that he was "Reflex" all along. Beautiful graphics, solid entry!+

I reached 117 peaces, lost, saw the "Incompatible" Screen, and the the "Compatible" cinematic. Is this normal?

Congratulations

Stranded - LD 41 Game by Corvin 2018-04-24T09:44:44Z

Hi, pretty much what @tthe said.

-I think both genres aren't fully combined. The puzzles doesn't really fit in the survival story or mechanics. -I didn't needed to drink water or food to survive. -After completing a puzzle you don't appear in the same spot, making more difficult to make a mental map of the island.

The music and graphics were the strong part of this game. Good work!

Infinite Typer by theamazingb 2018-04-24T22:08:40Z

I liked it, really difficult but enjoyable. Once that you get fast runs (which they are also short) it's fantastic to jump over several cars, but the turn is sometimes not 90 degrees at those speeds.

Supremacy Slabs by mintybacon 2018-05-10T16:14:47Z

I kept confusing the miners and lumberjacks. The game is a bit too difficult, a bigger grid or not a new tile every turn could help balancing the difficult. I was able to buy some upgrades one time, some of them are really expensive, but wasn't sure what they did. The idea is great just some balance to the difficulty can turn it into an awesome game.

Swap Swamp by Le Slo 2018-04-24T13:39:25Z

First of all, thank you everyone for taking your time to play and give constructive feedback.

@toboggan, As we spoken, there game can't be full-screen for now, I had troubles handling the GUI and screen scaling. When the future updates are coming, this will be one of the first points. For now I will give my head a little break.

@Herman Chau You are right, the melee attack it's too expensive, I see now what I can do to costs to make them more compelling. Not a lot of time for testing, I added the costs one hour before the end of the jam.

@Darby Costello Thank you! I'm pretty happy with the result, and I had TONS of ideas during the process that I needed to write down because I knew the couldn't fit the ludum dare version. Once I get more time I probably work on some updates for Swap Swamp! I need first to know how much people like the game.

@Tay Unfortunately, the shop and weapons aren't perfectly balanced, thanks for playing!

Swap Swamp by Le Slo 2018-04-24T15:00:39Z

@GeraldFIngBurke It's great to hear that! I omitted on purpose that from the tutorial to try encouraging the players to experiment more with the mechanics! I'm glad you discovered it and liked it!

Swap Swamp by Le Slo 2018-04-24T21:57:48Z

@TheM I think you are completely right, the gui really needs some work, I haven't used a lot of them in the past. The example you give about the method of payment could be easily "resolved" with the coin besides, appearing and despairing at the same time. Life could (should) be as the life is marked for the enemies, and a compression and better structure to the shop and other data (as the level or xp, which are currently invisible for the player).

You are right, I never say what is the final goal in my games. Not on purpose, because I never know how to. I will think of that.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Swap Swamp by Le Slo 2018-04-25T18:35:43Z

@mrPenguin Fixed it! Thanks for the warnout!

Ratatosk by TheFlyingKeyboard 2018-05-05T14:42:29Z

Nice idea, with some polish it could work great.

The movement is slow for characters so big, also, as it is a game of anticipation, getting more visible space could help build some interesting strategic value to the game, choosing you actions depending on the cards you have left.

The mechanic of losing cards doesn't work that well. Ranged attacks are not very different to melee attacks. You can jump in mid air whenever you want! You could make use of that vertically in cool ways.

Keep coding!

Dance Invader by Alcarendor 2018-04-24T10:36:07Z

Wow, the alien expression is great! The movement it's great, not very intuitive, even frustrating, but I think it works great, but I was always surprised when I pressed espace where the beam appeared, always more on the back of the planet, and I had to drove to position myself again to make those flat humans dance.

Unbelievabubble by maximebugman 2018-04-24T10:20:59Z

Wow! Great concept and great execution. There are a little details to polish (character speed, balls collisions, jump height, camera movements) but the work you did here is great! Love the aesthetic and colors! Awesome work!

Pinboy-an RPG+ Pinball game by Colleen9416 2018-04-24T14:58:35Z

Really good idea. The ball gets too much impulse making harder to control the ball. The graphics are great it's the strength of the game ! The sounds are fun and cute, but need to rework when the are emitted, for example, every time I hit a house the same sound (and important sound) appears, loud and clear, this make this sound from now on, a bit annoying. I would like to see more of this project.

Congratulations!

Dancing Bandit by Tay 2018-04-24T14:27:43Z

There is not a lot to do in the game yet, but i teally liked the idea of instead of having to push the key on a specific moment, how you have some margin to perform the action, gives a little strategy to the rhythm game. I guess when you walk in the direction of the arrow some points could be given. You also need to check the random generator, as I have started a game in a small empty room.

Good work!

Type to Win by net3ton 2018-05-05T15:36:35Z

Small but polished game. There wasn't really a challenge, specially the last two levels, which are at least the funniest.

Quest Sweeper by TheM 2018-04-24T22:29:56Z

I really liked it! Not very long, relaxing and easy to find yourself wanting all the artifacts. The variants North and West were quite similar to the normal one. The feeling of open world is huge. I think this has some potential if you wanted to take it further.

Congratulations.

Click Click Clutch - an idle clicker racing game by SupremeKurt 2018-04-24T16:16:26Z

Played for a bit. The amount of earnings for winning a game is very little. I had to play 6 times a race (an easy one) to buy one upgrade, and not the one that makes my vehicle get a higher high speed (for that I need to play 20 races!). So I was unable to see the rest of content of your game, which I guess it's pretty much the same with other vehicles or backgrounds. There is no real stratedgy for the player as there is on idle clicker game. Keep working!

Danger of the violent woods by Kultisti 2018-04-24T13:57:05Z

A lot of content here! The point of the game is rather simple, but the mood you build it's one of its strengths. The piano music works perfectly sometimes but others it's a bit off. The minigames are fun, maybe a little bit long, specially the middle "cinematic" for the monsters you already encountered. I like the art too, not really polished but with potential, except for the sprite "part", it's not clear what it is and has nothing to make it stand out so you knew you could interact with before trying.

Good work.

Cebe by Sapazu 2018-04-25T18:06:27Z

Nice idea but very few levels... Some random generator of pieces will help you with that. The art was pretty good, but the sounds kind of annoying. Also an animation or some kind of hint for when pieces are going to move could improve the experience. Keep coding!

MIDINIGHT RUN by toboggan 2018-04-24T09:53:45Z

Super cool experiment! It's leaves you with beautiful landscapes. In terms of gameplay, it lacks some difficulty progression but I did enjoy the feels of dodging columns at high speed.

Shattered Melodies by yancharkin 2018-04-24T16:07:22Z

Yes the tuning of the ukelele it's weird! Also when both the opponent and the player are playing at the same time the sound gets strange. I had a bug after dying. Nice little game, not at all easy. I found funny the trees that limit the space, super tiny but non traspasable trees.

Puzzle Tower by NilC 2018-05-06T19:28:50Z

Nice re-imagination of classic mechanics. The levels are pretty easy. Maybe having different towers, or if it was impossible to light all the towers at the same time or even having to spend money to buy switchers could give the game some cool depth. I also really like the graphics.

Beet Boy by Ryan Bishop 2018-04-24T18:27:12Z

Great game! Very good animations and in game "tutorial". Here some commentaries:

-The chest gives you one extra heart, but only for that room? -It feels like attacking the skull boss it's for nothing, some animation or life bar could be great. He Actually has a long life, and no change in his behaviour. -What was on the secret room? I found it too, but I went the other way... -The animation of crouching is the best. In general, all the art is excellent. -I encountered some bugs. In the room you first met the key object. Sometimes after collecting the key, when throwing a fruit, the trails of remaining fruits and key start slowly moving down, disattached from the movement. If a throw then a fruit, it's always a banana until I run out of the number of things I had in my trail. I mean, the trail is still there going slowly down. So there is no way to get back the key but dying. After that situation, the respawn gets really weird, infinite times if I don't move, and some glitchy other stuff. -In the room of the skull boss there are some tileset misplaced, or some collision walls misplaced.

Conclusion: A really good game, one of the most solids I have played so far. A huge amount of content for a game jam (I haven't reached the end). My sincere congratulations, enjoy your gained freedom.

Edit: Sorry this was a duplicate comment.

BIRKANOID by MateCziner 2018-04-24T16:54:45Z

I encountered some bugs, finishing a level and starting on a blank one, and then after winning that level for some weird inexplicable thing, play the next one and after breaking all the blocks the level wasn't over.

Also level 5 it's almost impossible try to play with strategy but it's really easy if you just start to spam cards. Thats because of the new ball cards, you continuiously add balls to the level so it's not easy to lose.

I loved this game, my favorite since I saw the first screenshot. Congratulations!

Rogue Poker by Balint 2018-04-24T22:58:02Z

If you click the play button several times, different games start, so there are different static players on the board and the life is apparently non finite, so it was easy to beat the game. Actually that happened during my 4th run. If you leave a level with a non played hand it disappear, but the arrows pointing the monster are still there. Maybe attacks could be automatic if the hand is full when changing floors. I miss a purpose for the coins, other possible objects and music and sounds.

Very beautiful art and really solid game. You are aiming for phones, maybe?

Cyclevania by Allen Oliver 2018-04-24T14:46:06Z

Pretty fun! I beat the game! I was amused during my first run I took the bottom passage which is the easiest but when I traversed the portal I realized I didn't beat the game, that's when it hooked me. It lacks general polish (level sounds and music, some acceleration to the motorcycle, make denser the level, showing the score at the final screen...) but it is a cool game! Maybe shooting need to subtract points, to encourage the player to save bullets.

The Colossal Carrot Caper by rush 2018-04-24T11:27:02Z

Good entry, it's a shame that it a rhythm game the music and actions aren't completely synchronized, making the game sometimes frustating (I died a couple of times because I wasn't capable of not following the music beats). It's great hearing you did this as a distance project.

Keep coding!

Reverse by MrJake7X 2018-04-24T10:06:48Z

Well, I can't see the theme here anywhere. The movement it's weird, the graphics are great, the music is a bit annoying and the puzzles, aren't puzzles, you just need height. It's a shame it's that unfinished I'm not really sure about the core mechanics.

Keep working!

Date Night by Darby Costello 2018-04-24T14:20:10Z

Very fun game, really humorous. Simple but gorgeous aesthetic. I spent a lot of time trying to block my date in another part of the house with the printers and chaits until I found it was impossible and the only way to finish the game was dying. Where you planning on using that for a winnable state purpose?

Good work!

Bubblin' Cauldron by Tamino Laub 2018-04-24T17:43:47Z

Very fun game! It's true that ingredient sprites are too small, and maybe the map too big. I love the cauldron idea and having different potions without knowing what will each one do. Very good entry for a first jam, fun game, solid mechanics and with music and menu!

My only commentarie is that you can push frogs, even stand between a frog and the cauldron to protect it, not sure if on purpose, but it helped me in some critical situations. I never the less, never survived the fourth wave of evil frogs.

Congratulations! Keep working!

I would love to play this, but windows 10 for me too.

Mojojo by ZakAmana 2018-04-24T10:45:49Z

This is the kind of entry I would like to do some when. A little game absolutely polished! Not a very risky approach of the process but the output is so cute it doesn't matter.

Sword step by DarthWaxus 2018-04-24T15:48:32Z

Simple game, lots of fun! I'm not sure what is the difference between some of the attacks. The sounds are a bit loud. Great work!

The Third Scattering by mbrezu 2018-04-24T11:18:17Z

Great game, it's weird how I'm used to play these kind of game looking for one spot, but here this spot can be found in two different positions. I'm also with the "random match" problem, but I think at least you programmed to make the larger group.

Good work! Really enjoyed, it's a pity there were no sounds.
