I like the title music!
At first I thought the game might be a bit too easy being able to play along without penalty and repeat until you got it for sure.
But then I died to my second opponent repeatedly being dead sure about having it right.
Oh well.
@yinyin Different timbres make the game harder than it looks at first glance. Also I was in a hurry and didn't tuned my ukulele the way I should (some notes wrong up to 10 percents), that doesn't help in battles as well. If I'll continue developing this game, I'll fix this issues.
I'm getting Out of bounds memory access (evaluating 'Module["asm"]["_main_after_fs_sync"].apply(null,arguments)') errors on Safari and Firefox. In any case the idea sounds great for me

Nice fighting music game :D

Yes the tuning of the ukelele it's weird! Also when both the opponent and the player are playing at the same time the sound gets strange. I had a bug after dying. Nice little game, not at all easy. I found funny the trees that limit the space, super tiny but non traspasable trees.
Haha, I sucked at playing this so I didn't get far at all but the idea is really cool!
@antoniomm The game is made in Godot and in my experience web export is not this engine's strongest side. I published it hoping that it will work at least for some people, but I really recommend to use desktop builds.
@le-slo Yes, some strings a bit out of tune (~10 percents), but it should not ruin experience completely. And tiny trees is in fact bushes, so it's OK for them to be tiny :) I'm aware of the bugs you encountered, but I have no idea what causes them - I'm new to Godot engine and to gamedev in general.

This is a really cool game! (The only problem is I'm musically illiterate, so I died in the first battle). But never the less the graphics are cool and the game has a good feel to it!
I love dthe concept!! I know figuring out melodies is not easy but putting some timing to it could make it more interesting or make battles more lively. Great entry!
@quijipixel Thanks for the idea, I'll think about it.

Neat game! I suck at it though... But very I had fun, and it's a great idea!
This is amazing, I would say my favourite entry of the jam I've played so far. Really a fresh idea for a game! I think a cool idea might be a hard mode where you could only hear the song once. I managed to beat all the guitar dudes but I had to play the song a couple times most of the time. :P
Fun idea, but i also sucked at it. I guess you could make early levels easier by limiting the choice of notes
@polyhatsteve @automatonvx Thanks for the ideas! There is a good chance that I'll continue developing this game, in that case this ideas may become useful.

This was a cool idea. I wish the music was a little more musical, though. Each battle right now feels a little lackluster, a flashy intro sequence to each battle with some background music and a more "call and response" battle mechanic would have been super cool.
Nice little game, I like it a lot and I think you should take it further. I agree with @pogo that the battles are a little empty or quiet and more graphics and music to introduce them would be cool. The ukulele opponents I found generally more difficult to beat, but they may be because it was slightly out of tune. Great job though, and well done!
@pogo @roka-josh Yeah, I know in its current state the game is not very entertaining (and buggy!), hopefully I'll fix it in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
pretty nice song game. Graphics looked nice and i get to play piano during the game.
Nicely made and very playable in its current state, would like to see it become a full game!

simple and really great idea. the arts and gameplay are  . but when you pressing the tone buttons at same time, the sound is getting strange, yea maybe you could fix that. overall I really enjoyed this game. Good work!
@amazura I think I have a clue why sound gets distorted, I'll try to fix that in the future releases.

Interesting idea! Godot's web export feature did seem to worsen my experience, though. I don't know what you're planning to do with the game afterwards, but could I suggest setting the melodies to certain key signatures? I've always found it pretty difficult to match notes when they're chromatic like that. Maybe add a background chord to further the harmony?
Also, untuned ukulele blah blah blah.
@niterich I'd like to remake the game from the scratch in the future. I'll take your idea into consideration.

Looks fun but I was too bad at this. For us less musical humans it would help to have the same sound being generated by the enemies as the sound being played by the keyboard (at least to start with for the easier enemies).
@erikkire Yeah, it's probably a good idea.
lOl, hilarious plot killing guitarists with my keyboard skills. I love the idea. Improve it with better keyboard samples that can be achieved in the course of the game, also add other keyboard layout options, I have a german QUERTZ keyboard that twists Z <-> Y Maybe you could also add MIDI keyboard support. I think there is a Web API for that.
@guckstift Thanks for the ideas! I'd like to improve the game (but not sure I'd have a time for it).
A very cool concept for a game. I feel like I would be better at the game if the sound effects for you vs your opponent were the same because I have no musical skill whatsoever.
@rob-white I'll think of a way to make the game playable for people of all music skills. Ideally it should be able to help them to improve their skills. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
It's a very good game to practice relative pitch!
