LD35 — Shapeshift

Element Smash by midgard 2016-04-22T22:22:00

I didn't seem to have any advantage when I had a winning element, the only difference I saw was when the AI had a winning element they could knock me super fast horizontally. So it just boiled down to changing character every few seconds, and fighting super smash with a single move.
I enjoyed the art though, and the music was good.

Boxey by ShadowBrain 2016-04-19T18:00:00

My mailman fantasies are becoming a reality.
I like how the boxes crumple.

A82-Recon 3038 by Geti 2016-04-19T03:28:00

Really nice concept - Art and sound all complement each other well.

One of us.

Amorphous Space Widgets by hitchh1k3r 2016-04-24T22:39:00

I enjoyed the square and circle, and the merging mechanic.

Splitter Critters by GertJohnny 2016-04-19T21:28:00

I'm loving the paper cutout feel of the visuals. Fantastic polish for a jam entry

Find the Bird by Gaspard_ 2016-04-19T03:09:00

This looks interesting - but no download link?

Shape Shift Runner by Reyn 2016-04-19T19:04:00

I like the minimalism, really nice visuals.
The doors are kind of awkward, and the whole left right movement being disabled some of the time doesn't communicate very well. Otherwise a good collection of concepts!

Witches and Werewolves by Capitals 2016-04-22T15:41:00

I enjoyed the tactical elimination of targets, and the ramping cost of converting. It was a little unclear that I could only have one werewolf in each town, and that made taking over larger towns very challenging. I'd have liked a little more concise text, or a dedicated screen for the map and village views.

CHORUS by Pantelis Petsopoulos 2016-04-22T21:34:00

I like the idea, but the music kinda droned on and the shapes moved so slowly there was no real reaction. I'd have liked a way to directly go to each shape, rather than relying on remembering the order, or at least for the shapes to come in a more "flow-y" way, so that only one shift was needed between close notes.
Rhythm games are one of my favourite types, and you almost nailed it. The chorus feature for getting streaks of notes was a nice addition, too.

You Are What You Eat by MagnesiumNinja 2016-04-19T03:20:00

I really enjoyed this entry - its got a Hotline Miami feel, but with a unique spin. Every enemy has its strengths and weaknesses and they all feel good to use.

Shift by CliffracerX 2016-04-28T22:54:00

I found the stairs really hard to move around - they got stuck in the wall at one point and I had to restart. Good idea to make each dimension unique with music and art changes.

ShiftSword by SkullPixel 2016-04-19T19:46:00

Great art, but the sword felt really underpowered.

gunshift by pixzleone 2016-04-22T21:36:00

Love the idea, and the levels are challenging yet rewarding. I'd have liked another gameplay element to complement the bulletshifting to really flesh out the mechanics.
Great work

Werewolf Escape by BSODDevTeam 2016-04-19T18:07:00

The art really nails the retro style. Unfortunately the gameplay is only a simple dodgem game.

Sculpt Master by LimeniusTeam 2016-04-19T21:51:00

This was fun. It took a few goes to understand how the clock worked and what it meant. Once I understood that, there was a cool few levels of playing. I typically don't like lives in puzzle style games, though.

Cavern of Flight by Hempuli 2016-04-22T22:10:00

I enjoyed the art, and the controls were fairly tight - the jumping was a little drifty, however. I like the atmosphere and mood.
Shortly after getting the wings I went upwards to a room with lots of climbing, and 4 spiders. Not having a flashlight while climbing, plus being unable to point it in the right direction reliably, plus the spiders immediately attacking as soon as the light is gone made that room far more frustrating than it should have been.

Tiny Critters by thegypsyknight 2016-04-19T17:27:00

I really enjoy how differently each animal behaves. There are a few points in the level where you can get stuck if you don't follow the intended path, which can be a little frustrating.

Andari Prime by Fabraz 2016-04-19T18:16:00

I love the 90s art style choice, but the sprites are always running in the same direction. The mood was solid, and the setting was well thought out.

We Made Rock Paper Scissors by GenericTeamName 2016-04-19T18:30:00

Man that AI is a god tier RPS player.
The time to change between forms is a little too long, and the ai knows before you change what you're going to change into

Cool concept, well done!

JaJa's Bizarre Transformer by reckhou 2016-04-19T03:59:00

I don't know what I just played but I loved it.

Disarranged by Sheepolution 2016-04-19T14:16:00

It's COUCH MAN.
I love the song, and the cutscenes are really cool.
It's surprisingly difficult :)

No Turning Back by tgrehawi 2016-04-22T20:10:00

I really like the art direction and mood, but the theme was a little lacking. The puzzles weren't particularly challenging, but they all showed off the mechanics you created.
I enjoyed the Monument valley style camera and world.
I tried playing on the controller, which worked but didn't let me rotate the world. This didn't really impact gameplay though.

I hope you continue to work on this game, and I'm eager to play more.

TerraShift by Leon Möhring 2016-04-19T14:58:00

This was so much deeper than I expected.
I like the art, and the controls are tight and clear. I particularly enjoyed the moments when I was faced with villages everywhere, and only a fire or a storm :) I'd love some sounds and a little more animation when villages appear, but the game is solid. Congratulations.

Geomorpher by teamross 2016-04-22T21:25:00

I love the difficulty shift when you get to level 8 or so. I feel like you could have done with patterns for the incoming shapes, it felt like they were just randomly coming at me.
I enjoy the minimal style and glow, its got a clean classy look.

Shifter by Studiosaurus 2016-04-19T14:41:00

I really like the presentation!
I found it hard to start with, but once I got it there's a cool flow.
It gets fast a little too quickly, and I end up fat thumbing around 20

Shapeshifting With Science! by TeamKawaiiju 2016-04-19T03:08:00

There's some fun to be had here, but its trapped between a lot of slow walking through long corridors and pushing door buttons. The mechanics of the alien are really novel - using it as an elevator feels particularly good.

Shape Shifters Inc. - A near-future dystopian manufacturing simulator by whilefun 2016-04-22T21:17:00

This game proves that first impressions can be dead wrong. The mechanics, while simple come together in a really unique way. I found myself rushing around grabbing raw resources and collecting garbage to get the best time I could. The end of shift report is the best part - getting a poor grade on my first shift for leaving machines turned on, garbage everywhere and unused resources made me really want to go again and get it right!
I didn't much like the character controller, and sometimes clicking things into place wasn't super easy.

Soul Shifter by Tommyno222 2016-04-19T03:37:00

[web version] I really like the artwork. I'd have liked the body shifting to be a little faster, especially over longer distances.
The audio was too repetitive and loud, more variation would be nice too.

GeoShift by WASD 2016-04-19T18:56:00

Love the art, fantastic visuals!
The platforming is a little clunky, but a solid game!

ShiftShaper by serp 2016-04-19T11:25:00

The puns are real.
Overall I like the concept, but its hard to find the control points sometimes, which can make small changes frustrating.
Good job!

Atomicollider by seizeTheDia 2016-04-19T03:56:00

Beautiful looking game, fab music. I like the idea.
I couldn't find a use for the hex power, though.

shape, LeSS by medidog 2016-04-19T03:47:00

I really love the painterly art. I wish the movement was a little faster

2045 Henkei no Densetsu by Rock Eaters 2016-04-28T23:09:00

I couldn't get the web versions to work, so downloaded the .exe. I like the idea of an uncontrollable berserk mode, with more power and near invulnerable. It was a nice contrast to the vulnerable short range samurai. I feel like the camera should have moved a little faster with the player, though.

Space Dimension by bigbatardyt 2016-04-19T14:30:00

I love the 3d/2d switching - the 3d seconds look awesome.
I found that the shooting felt really awkward, and the bullets moved to fast to dodge, so every fight feels like shooting the enemies until one of you dies. A quick restart key would also be really cool!

Shape Escape by WeaverDeveloper 2016-04-19T19:41:00

I really liked the circle to stick transition - the jumping feels really good. I couldn't find a good use for the square most of the time, though.
The art is great, good consistent visuals.

55 Days by V4lesti 2016-04-20T21:00:00

5420 :)
Love the art, the music is complementary to the mood and doesn't get in the way. A few more sound effects would have made it perfect.
Overall, great work!

luvShape by luvShape 2016-04-19T17:30:00

So much style in this game. Well done!

Block Dropper by blockdroppers 2016-04-22T22:38:00

The synch was a little too far off for me, too. A little slower ramp up would have helped players to get a grasp of the controls before asking for fast shape changes. Otherwise it's a solid game, with decent music and art.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Forever Someday by TheOneThatNeverWas 2016-08-30T15:32:00

I'm not sure how it related to the theme, but it was an intriguing experience, and well crafted.

No Mario's Sky by eigenbom 2016-08-30T13:00:00

I agree with the criticisms for the jump control and feel. The spaceship also feels a little to twitchy to steer.

However, the art and procedural generation is fantastic. The best No Mans Sky version I've played yet.

Allo? by Darenn 2016-08-31T15:09:00

The sound design was spot on, the little chatter noises and beeps speeding up as the difficulty ramps makes the game that little bit more stressful.
I feel like the dicordes would have benefited from being different colours to each other. Sometimes I would get confused between which end connected to which.

I'd have also like a way to quickly detach a pair of dicordes, or put them back into the supply.

Guidance by Avalanche Games 2016-09-01T12:58:00

Love the sound design, and the use of colour. It's got a kind of monument valley vibe to it. I would have enjoyed some more levels and a few more mechanics, however!

Kukulkan's Phantom by CMangas 2016-08-30T12:40:00

Pretty grim ending :)

I enjoyed the aesthetic and the controls, the puzzles were pretty good too. Failing and going back to the start each time was a pain on the poison one, however.

SOITES (Unfinished) by mathiasj 2016-08-30T13:13:00

I really like the dishonored demake vibe I'm getting. It's a shame you couldn't fill out the level more before your time was up.

I look forward to seeing more of this!

Light Caller by igorfel 2016-09-01T14:25:00

I enjoyed the controls and the intense light/dark styling. The camera was nice, but needed a little bit more speed to make sure the ball is always in frame. Right now it has a nice loose feel, which you should keep.
As others have said, more content would certainly have been nice.

Naumachia by BlueLlama 2016-08-30T14:32:00

Sending soldiers doesn't seem to be that useful - and they often end up balancing on their heads. The camera was a little awkward too, I wanted to place it somewhere in between the steps.

A cool idea, and nice art.

The Mystery of the Maniac AI by reheated 2016-09-02T14:56:00

I really enjoyed the logic puzzles, they were challenging but also had multiple solutions. The use of puzzle solutions to select the choice was also a clever use of tying the mechanics to the story.

Gear Kitty by Raiyumi 2016-09-03T14:10:00

This is an awesome submission. The music is great, and the sounds are spot on. Jumping around felt perfect, especially after the third upgrade.
The character and background art was also spot on, and generally the 8bit vibe was superbly achieved.

The Late Fee by Hjalte500 2016-08-30T12:24:00

Audio - 5
Art - 4
Theme - 4

Good job. The game feels really good, and the sounds are excellent. I also like the VHS theming.

I feel like the rockets were a little too fast, and having a little time after spawning where there were no enemies would have made restarting a little less frustrating.

HoloBots by conradte3 2016-09-01T18:25:00

I really like the way the level builds itself around you - it's like a nod towards Bastion. I wasn't a fan of the movement so much - it's hard to tell where you character is exactly, and the combat with the saw robots seemed to be no more than facetanking it.

Touch the Monolith by silkworm_sweatshop 2016-09-01T14:30:00

Good fun. Simple game, well executed. Religion made me giggle.

Obsolescence by kmitz 2016-08-30T12:47:00

Great atmosphere, good art.
The big open world was pretty, but it was a little too big to know where I should be going. I stumbled upon the upgrades by chance rather than strategy.

Temple Explorer by Azumiar 2016-08-30T13:34:00

I'd have loved some sound, and maybe a way to look around - sometimes it was hard to see where I needed to aim, in order to get cubes onto the buttons.

Nice art, good humor.

Hello Hello by celia14 2016-08-30T14:27:00

Pretty and well designed.
I felt like it ramped up to a point, but didn't get much more challenging after that.

Still I found it very satisfying, and the tutorial was also very clear and useful.

Dungeon Runes by Corinator 2016-09-01T18:18:00

I was pleasantly surprised by this. At first launch I couldn't get a good frame rate - lots of dynamic lights and particles. However once I turned it down, I found the game quite enjoyable.
The art was well done, you used the few assets you made very well. Of particular note were the death animations, the sound and camera effects when falling to my death were great.
The player controller was fine; a little floaty in the jumping but it was still easy enough to navigate the level.
The music and sound were overall well done, but the rune sounds were a little loud.
I'd have liked a final chamber to use the final rune with, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed Dungeon Runes!

Retro YouTube Simulator by pogo 2016-08-30T14:49:00

@BlueLlama Thank you for your kind comment - unfortunately in the latest version of Unity, dynamic MovieTexture loading is a little broken. We're looking into a fix.

Retro YouTube Simulator by pogo 2016-09-01T23:08:00

@blinry: sorry it didn't work for you - currently there is a bug where you are able to search for and request playlists and channels, in which case the game will download multiple videos, but never deliver one. If the game failed to close properly it was probably still trying to download and convert video files in the background.

I'm sorry you experienced these difficulties.

LD38 — A Small World

A Small World Cup by rujo 2017-05-05T17:00:27Z

The gameplay was good fun, though there were far more own goals than goals! I wasn't a big fan of the pixellation filter, it garbles the text and makes everything look a little muddy.

Overall a fun, simple game that controls well and has some serious joy moments. The difficulty comes from the physics rather than the AI being strong!

Flatland by fabsy 2017-05-04T14:44:08Z

This is a cool little strategy game. After I got the hang of the controls, and how to upgrade structures properly, it plays very well. I enjoy the simple yet effective 3d art, and the citizens are surprisingly bouncy and fun for a game of this type. The game doesn't seem to have a formal win condition, and the AI is a little simple, but all the systems work properly and it otherwise comes across as very polished. Congratulations, and good luck in the voting phase!

Our Cramped Little World by ret44 2017-05-03T22:03:33Z

This is a really cute little game, I love the drab colour palette, and the blocky aesthetic fits right in. Though I'd have liked to see some walls on the back faces of the room, to ground it a little more.

While the game is short - it can be completed in a couple of minutes, the game achieves exactly what it set out to. I'd like to have seen either some randomness to the objectives, or some reason to use some of the other furniture pieces - presently it's easy to cheese the game, knowing that half of the furniture isn't going to be useful.

I liked the controls, the pick up and drag makes the furniture feel weighty, and the satisfying grunt adds a bit of flair. Occasionally, particularly in phase 1, my mouse would reach the edge of the screen while dragging a piece of furniture and be unable to drag any further. This caused the bit to snap back to it's starting position, which was a little frustrating.

Overall, a short-but-sweet submission that needs more attention. Play this if you like a game with strong visual design and a high level of polish.

The Witless by pogo 2017-04-25T03:56:48Z

Hi @deglis, The U shapes are tricky - their light doesn't get lit when they're activated, so it's possible to turn it on even if it's lit by another shape.

The Witless by pogo 2017-04-28T01:08:33Z

Hi, @local-minimum, I had another two variations of puzzle planned, but just ran out of time while doing all the level design in the last couple of hours. Thank you for the awesome comment! I agree about that room, and to make things worse, the hint doesn't lead to the correctct solution due to a mistake.

Stupid Humans by Virtual Window 2017-05-04T15:15:08Z

The art for this is great, everything looks wonderful. I wasn't sure exactly what each power did to begin with, or what effect it would have. In the first minute or so of the game the population was booming and everything was turning horrible. I then changed window to check for instructions and a meteor crushed the main city, destroying it. After that the planet calmed down. A few earthquakes later and humanity was reduced to a very manageable tiny population.

I'm not sure if the goal was to achieve balance or to eliminate humanity, but it was at least a little entertaining. While your description says "balance the effects of the population" I found that the powers were more about removing the population than balancing the effects. That might be because the powers weren't terribly clear about what they did, though.

Daily Routine: the smallest worlds are the ones we get stuck in by Samurai Spark 2017-05-04T14:58:41Z

This is way more fun than my actual life. Managed 9.52 CPS, which is close to my personal best IRL.

The game looks great, and the games all work properly and are fun, even if simplistic.

After reading other comments I replayed the game and found some additional depth that I hadn't noticed the first time, which was very refreshing.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Spring Clean – DO NOT CROSS by blinry 2017-12-13T18:29:40Z

I love the way the vacuum cleaner moves, it's so stupid and inefficient and I love it.

This was good fun, I found that since the cats moved predictably you could move them around and bunch them up to move as a single cat cluster, which was much easier to restrict with tape.

Well done!

WAVEFORM by pogo 2017-12-06T08:35:34Z

@hadesfury @mr-matt Sorry about that - I forgot to set the itch.io page to public! Please try the link again.

WAVEFORM by pogo 2017-12-12T16:34:30Z

Hi @lex in the later waves, spawners appear that will keep spitting out enemies at regular intervals. You should here a kind of low drone when they spawn a new wave.

Stampede - Run or DIE by Erik Brunnstrom 2017-12-13T18:55:55Z

I really love the interactivity and the creativity here. It was kinda frustrating not knowing where fans would come from without trying a level and losing a life. Art and audio were well done, overall a good experience!

Red Friday by martiangames 2017-12-13T18:11:28Z

As soon as I launched this I was super excited to see what you had created. Using existing art was an good decision that allowed you to concentrate on implementing everything else. While the quest system is well implemented, and the writing and VA work is good, unfortunately there are only two short quests before the game is over. With the time saved on art and world building, I'd have liked to see a few more things to do to bring more customers into the mall.

This is not a normal village... by rohezal 2017-12-13T20:23:16Z

I had a weird bug where launching this started up steam VR and made my system use loads of resources. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I gave the game a go anyway. I like the environment, the writing and the theme is good too. I wish the narration wouldn't slow me down so much, though.

Grim Groupies by Kramdar 2017-12-13T20:47:34Z

Interesting idea, the zombies definitely get in the way when you have lots of them. I couldn't actually find a useful way of using the zombies, since they just get turned back into enemies as soon as they get hit, making it even harder to progress. I couldn't work out what I needed for the skull, and navigating became a real hassle once I had white knights and archers following me everywhere.

Lantern by hasuprobe 2017-12-13T18:39:36Z

Love the art, sound and mood. Trapping monsters behind rocks was surprisingly effective

ISS Strike by IDEA_Games 2017-12-13T20:08:42Z

This was a simple, challenging game. I enjoyed the art and mood, though it was a little difficult to work out whether an asteroid was going to hit, and those that were targeted near to the centre of the ISS were very hard to avoid. A way to shift the camera, or translate the iss would have been nice, too.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

The Flautist by khofez 2018-12-17T14:02:37Z

Good use of procedural generation! I'd have liked a few more mobility tools as walking around was a little slow for the size of the city. The fx, city and music were all excellent.

De-Railed by OccultOne 2018-12-13T22:56:10Z

I'm getting a "The final station" crossed with Starbound sort of vibe from the game - I'm very impressed! The music and sound are fantastic and the art and animation are good too. I will say the combat is a bit shallow and feels tacked on, and being out in the wilderness feels a little aimless, but overall the experience is still positive.

Lab Animals by skiddings 2018-12-05T21:38:19Z

Nice work team. The highlights for me were the weapon feel - the particle physics, sound and camera shake made that gun feel really good.

I like that you had some enemy variation with attack patterns, but for me it was a little too easy to just dodge the enemies, herd them up and let a red guy explode them all. Then I'd have enough ammo to kill the rest and the spawner.

The sacrifice system was cool. The Health one was a little overpowered, and the ammo one wasn't worth it at all. Berserk stuck a nice medium, I think.

Few Word by PTSnoop 2018-12-30T18:17:24Z

So the shapes can combine if they have equal complexity and create a shape of one extra complexity. I'm still not sure what the different colours were for though

Smart and elegant, but lacking direction and feedback, good work

Few Word by PTSnoop 2018-12-30T18:18:26Z

Oh and the top left seems to be a counter for the number of moves you make - not sure if something happens when it reaches zero

Platformer.txt by Hugo kieffer 2018-12-07T00:58:42Z

This is the kind of novelty that Game jams are all about, well done!

How Many Days Left? by kaiagan 2018-12-07T01:18:32Z

This was really fleshed out and well presented! What were the nails for?

The Way Home by Xyterix 2018-12-17T14:13:35Z

The spiky zone after the big lake cross defeated me - the checkpoints were a little too far apart and the timing a little too tight for me to continue. The style for this is great and you really nailed the mood and visuals.

Grauby Grauby by Danilo Freire 2018-12-13T23:00:27Z

Well done - I really dig the background art!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Astral Fantasy by PowerSpark 2018-05-13T21:52:06Z

Solid game, it becomes a little too much micromanagement with three ships, but this is super cool. Well done!

Jotunn Trivia by Thirsty 2018-04-30T19:42:46Z

Nice job, action trivia is a great idea for a genre mashup!

The Tactical Trio by Aggrathon 2018-05-14T19:01:47Z

I wasn't a huge fan of my troops killing each other when lined up, considering how difficult it is already to manipulate the orcs. Good fun though.

Jump Beat by notime4games 2018-05-14T18:19:45Z

Music was great, graphics look good. The platforming was a little clumsy and I kept bashing my head on the second level. Overall I enjoyed it a bunch, well done!

Moon Omens by Otso Turpeinen 2018-04-28T19:42:38Z

When I saw Endless Runner & Hang Man I'm not sure what I had in mind, but I was pleasantly surprised. It might have been better as a top down endless runner with multiple lanes, as currently waiting for the last letter or two is a little tiresome.

Remote Bot by Yngvarr 2018-05-09T21:16:55Z

I've played a few games with the same idea, but this one really excels with the command history feature. Much of the frustration of typos and needing fast typing is taken out, well done!

HORSAMS: Heroes Of Royal Stones and Magic Scrolls by RaPéMar 2018-04-28T19:38:02Z

I liked the art and sound design here the most. The gameplay was fine, but I couldn't work out the point of summoning creatures apart from blocking spells. They seemed way to expensive for only that.

Inky Dragon Inc by atridas 2018-05-14T18:55:35Z

I love production line style games and this was no exception. I had an issue where setting tasks sent me back to the main window, which was kinda frustrating (web version). I also couldn't work out how to make paper after the second quest.

HappyBlock by PaperAeroplane555 2018-05-14T18:15:43Z

Short and sweet, cute game about cheering people up and helping each other out. I like that you kept to the grid, and everything moved predictably. Well done!

Dice Poker Chicken Battle by digitaldude555 2018-04-28T15:59:43Z

I like the genre mix you chose, but it wasn't communicated super well - I couldn't tell how much training was helping, or what points I was gaining without referring to the description here. I won first time around, buying only the xp boost items

Get Out Of My Dungeon by biobazard 2018-04-28T19:59:09Z

I agree with the above comments, the enemies and player being non round made the physics a little unpredictable. I'd have also preferred if you pulled back to shoot instead of dragging where you want to go. That said, it's a super cool genre mashup idea!

Hoverfield Park - Beat Haven by RAC-Games 2018-04-28T15:47:13Z

I love the art, animation, and the world you've made (except the bar, is that missing textures?) but the gameplay is flat and boring. I can see the makings of a golf story style adventure, but it just doesn't get there.

Platformer-Tetris by Willbl3pic 2018-04-28T19:55:02Z

This heavily reminds me of the old flash game Avalanche (http://www.avalanchegame.org/). It's a cool idea, and I like the spin with the tetris blocks. The gameplay is a little too slow, and blocks often rotate when they land. You can fix this by locking the rotation about the up axis on your rigid body.

Texturing the blocks more like tetris blocks would have also been a nice way to upgrade the experience.

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-04-28T22:08:51Z

@MacDoom Great minds think alike, haha! We had to cut out some of the camera functionality at the buzzer because it interfered with the post processing. Zooming out to get a broader view of the scene would have been super cool.

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-04-29T10:18:47Z

Yes it should! I copied the link from a previous jam page

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-04-29T19:05:40Z

@Tuomo Thank you for your kind comment - we were super pressed for time, and sadly were unable to add music, sound, and vfx, a main menu, or the ability to fire back at your enemies!

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-04-30T17:02:07Z

@bluewingtitan Sorry there's no music or sound! We totally ran out of time. I'm hoping we can team up with a composer for LD42, so we don't end up neglecting audio (again)

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-05-14T11:59:56Z

I agree about shooting. It's something we planned but had to drop it before the deadline D:

Drive Threw by Zachary Burkett 2018-05-09T14:37:21Z

I enjoyed this, the driving and cooking are each demanding enough to keep my attention, but I need to manage both to succeed. It was a little unclear whether something was cooked properly on both sides at a glance, and I could have used a bin for all my screw ups. I also had issues stacking ingredients to make burgers, but when it worked it worked well!

PainBall by Erik Brunnstrom 2018-04-28T23:37:36Z

I like the idea and the game looks fab. The controls are a little awkward because of the orientation of the pitch, though. Also the ai tend to shoot all the balls before I have chance to use them, so after the first minute I rarely had any balls to shoot, which seems like a waste

Bully squares by kpded 2018-04-30T13:40:15Z

Nice use of the theme and good art, this is a really solid experience. I did run into one issue where enemies would walk through other enemies if their turns were out of sync, but ultimately this didn't ruin my experience. I finished with a score of 970

Tristakto by ghostmaple 2018-04-28T19:51:03Z

I like this as like a tictactoe 2.0 type of game. Sometimes there are no moves available, which would be nice if the game detected and gave a draw. It's also not immediately clear whether the blocks under your cursor are already down or being placed, which can be a little confusing too.

Beach Please Splash by Matej Mainus 2018-05-01T17:06:02Z

Pretty cool! The powerups were meaningful and impactful, but a little unclear at first. The flip powerup is overpowered as heck.

Obaké by mrspeaker 2018-04-30T18:01:22Z

Horror was a really good genre to choose to mix with the gameplay - While I was concentrating on either 2d or 3d, then swapping to the other, seeing an enemy super close was better than any jump scare because it was based on my actions. Great job!

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-28T22:33:48Z

The game really opens up once you get to the bruisers, kicking around strikers is good tactics. I'm fairly sure I reached the end, because it seemed impossible to complete the level with 3 enemy strikers in the way, and only one turn. The single player plays more like a puzzle game than a tactics game, but I think that works well

fishing: into the abyss by baconsenpaii 2018-04-28T23:08:17Z

Despite it's appearances, the bullet hell in this was pretty good. The numbers on the o2 cards didn't seem to match up with how much oxygen they restored, but the cards in general were a cool addition

Nine Lives by CameronJSamuels 2018-04-28T19:17:26Z

The mice often spawn a little too close to the edge, which feels unfair. It's a neat little idea, well done for making a game in pure html5/js!

My first day in the agency by mapedorr 2018-05-01T17:40:02Z

My baddler wasn't ready for this. If my body ever becomes this frail and needy, pissing myself will be the least of my worries.

Cooking Mecha by Franin 2018-05-01T18:47:08Z

Nice artwork and music, the gameplay is good but it gets tedious quickly. Well done, team!

TPS: Top Person Shooter by JustMars 2018-04-28T20:03:26Z

I really like your theme mashup, but the execution leaves a little lacking. I wasn't a big fan of the mirrored movement, but it did the job of forcing you to act quickly, and solve the level.

Jing & Jang delivery Co. by Sanguis 2018-04-30T13:31:38Z

I love the music and the change in pace when you swap between the characters! The cars that stop beside you are the most zen penetrating things in the world. The gameplay was a little repetitive, but I think that fits with the theme of manual labour you were going for. Well done on your submission!

Shuffle Climber by miroky 2018-04-30T18:14:35Z

I liked the idea of this, art and sound are good too - Dying is a little too easy, a few hits to death would have been more forgiving, given that the randomly generated cards can really screw you over.

Ragnor by Faloon 2018-05-14T12:27:54Z

Okay so I spent about 20 minutes figuring this out, I signalled password to A, signalled telemetry to get it to respond. Then when I went to set its XYZ, it flew off and I never saw it again. How am I supposed to get the coordinates for the stranded ship? The constant wobbly camera is super disorienting, and really hurts the experience.

Shattered Melodies by yancharkin 2018-04-28T15:32:06Z

This was a cool idea. I wish the music was a little more musical, though. Each battle right now feels a little lackluster, a flashy intro sequence to each battle with some background music and a more "call and response" battle mechanic would have been super cool.

Pretty Crowded Dungeon by sprvrn 2018-04-28T20:24:23Z

Some levels were definitely easier than others, matching 3 seemed to be totally optional when the key and door were close together. I missed cascading and other effects from making matches.

Splitscreen Hide N Seek by PackNSlash 2018-04-30T19:52:12Z

I love the procedural levels. These genres sure are incompatible.

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-30T14:17:45Z

This was a super cool game, I like the humour and self awareness the game shows - you clearly have a bright future in games. I got stuck at the "give up" door after finding a fake wall, but enjoyed the rest of the experience!

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-30T16:58:44Z

Aha! I thought it might be something like this!

Skate'n'Snipe by Jonathan Lorenz 2018-04-28T15:17:24Z

I think the move and stop buttons are a little bit unnecessary with out some sort of timer. I'd have liked to see more shooting mechanics like fire rate and reloading to force you to make a few more decisions. Otherwise a cool game idea, well done.

Rhybot, Escape! by taviandir 2018-04-28T20:10:59Z

Rhythm games without any sort of music are kind of annoying to play. It's hard to get into the flow of the beat, especially since it's so slow. I'd have preferred a necrodancer style of movement where you hit the arrow keys in the beat instead of using the arrow keys to predetermine your direction and then using space. It just seems like an unnecessary extra step to do the main action in the game.

Bebop's Breakout! by don.shinski 2018-04-29T15:16:36Z

Love the cats voice, but the entire game is an exercise in frustration. I ended up checking the source code to find out that you need to type "interact [object]" and "look [object]", which isn't listed in the help text

Tactical Hydra by MacDoom 2018-04-28T22:07:27Z

Hey, returning the review after reading your awesome comment. I really enjoyed the audio and shooting mechanic in your game - manoeuvring into position to line up the perfect shot and then dodging is super cool, if a little difficult.

Spin.ENG.RefleX by bunnybreaker 2018-04-28T15:11:34Z

This is a cool little game, I like the simple art direction and the ramping difficulty. It follows the theme well. I ran in browser using Chrome, and had no issues.

Bridging the Gap by Bobok 2018-04-28T15:21:41Z

Nice work on the environment and cinematics, the gameplay itself is okay, but I wish there was a little more to do with it. A few more levels would have been ideal.

Tactical Texting by Braden Bodily 2018-04-28T20:35:34Z

I like the idea of this, the sound and art all work well enough. I had the same issue with being unable to see my text, but could still play well enough. I couldn't manage to hit any enemy, maybe my ranges were just wrong...

Control Point Drift by TheRockRipper 2018-04-28T20:16:59Z

I couldn't work out the purpose of the capture points shooting, but it was a little fun. I wish you could actually drift though :(

Super Platformer RPG by Silent Tower Games 2018-04-30T18:10:20Z

This was a good effort, I feel like the platformer and rpg elements themselves were a little lackluster, but together it made for a fun experience. It was just the right length to get the most out of it.

Tower Racer by Michael Heasell 2018-05-01T18:40:33Z

I wish I had a little more health so I could have played this longer.

Rolling Soccer by palsina 2018-04-28T22:47:28Z

I love the combination, the art is well done, and it's a lot of fun!
