@blueblu I agree, the 2nd level is quite challenging xd
@leave Thanks for the feedback! Your game is also pretty challenging!

@blueblu I agree, the 2nd level is quite challenging xd
@leave Thanks for the feedback! Your game is also pretty challenging!
@winnie33 oh wow I didn't even realize I made that typo ._. I meant to put 'press enter to start'
@ephoria maybe I should decrease the difficulty! oh dear
@rillep thanks for your compliments! I will try to improve the wall jumping then
@justcamh wow thank you! the intended strat was to park the blob in an infinite loop on the springs on the left, and then you open the door at the bottom right before releasing him, and then the springs on the right will help you lead him to the goal. and yeah i only had time for some levels, plus i think the only fun about it was its difficulty so i guess that resulted in a bad difficulty curve :p. about the tutorial i believe about teaching by doing it but i guess i might need something clearer n explicit than that symbol hm
@goutye thank you! i tried my best to make the blob movement not too chaotic and within a confined space but yeah i definitely can improve on the level design haha
@jofish thanks for playing! i think that the fun was also in the predicting of the blob's movement and also getting used to his speed, but then again im still trying to figure out what are the numbers to make my platformer code feel better. i'll keep working on that! and also, yeah the idea of this game sprung solely from that interaction, and i kept thinking of you pushing him up from spikes, and that whether the character dies is irrelevant.
@SP3sheep thanks! yeah i can really work on its difficulty curve. im glad you found it fun!
@hartvichio lol thank you! i like 1-bit and platformers sooo. and my tutorial stuff can definitely use more instructions, but i guess i need some more time for that.
@arefune thank you! i spent a lot of time creating the interactions between you and the blob
@congusbongus thank you! as said above, i wanted to get the fun from doing the tricky mechanics and having its difficulty high, but i guess with my few number of levels it spiked too much haha
with better movement ai (so that it is easier to predict because the enemies can just walk right up and dance around my egg for 2 turns before immediately dying) i think it could be a really nice and fun rogue like turn based puzzle game!
quite a unique spin on a "cookie clicker" haha it is quite fun although i have this problem where half way through i cant close the finances window and it blocks like 90% of the screen :p good job!
aah wow i really like the colors and the textures and all the 3d models!! it gives a really nice atmosphere and the music also supports it really well
although i wouldve wished that there couldve been maybe a jump button? and maybe increase the fov a bit. and also maybe make the camera bob when the character moves? it made it a bit of a hard time to get used to at first but once i got the hang of it and i understood the layout its a really interesting experience. very well done! :>
a surprisingly great entry!! i really really like how the speed/acceleration is implemented, and the physics and the turning is just right. i also really enjoy how the off-road works
the graphics are also not bad and the music is real nice
good job!!
damn a really good game with a really creative concept!
although maybe the concept could be a bit more fleshed out?? with like a clearer indication of how each element changes each color
also as for the gameplay the camera was a bit too small? or perhaps the movements/sprite size was too big, and the height of the jumps made the camera a bit erratic
overall great entry!
damn all the effects feel so satisfying and great! the page flipping sound and collecting the letters were well executed, and the gameplay also was really fun and a creative take on the theme
however i just wished that there could be a bit of buffer time between entering each page? but overall really really well done!! :>
nice game!!! reminds me of slither.io, esp with the left click mechanic
i wish there was a more clear indication on where the enemies were on the planets :p
a really interesting entry
i really like the movement mechanics that makes it more of a risk vs reward thing the hmm sounds and the scribbling sounds make the "fathoms" really satisfying and surprisingly rewarding hahahah really good job!
the sprites were cute and the tilesets looked pretty good!
although the level design was pretty hard to navigate as its hard to see whether its a bottomless pit or somewhere you can land and the gaps arent really suited for the angle of the jumps which made it prety annoying, even with double jumps :/ and is there supposed to be health?? which is not clearly shown also the sounds were pretty well made, although the volume and the duration can be real distracting
good effort! :p
a simple but great game!!! i kept tripping myself up because i kept thinking about 8 directions, and the 4 directions makes it a pretty interesting take
i also really like the system about coins. good job :>
the music is really good and the concept is great!!!
i think if there was like maybe cracks on the tiles that were being broken?? because eating through the cheese seemed pretty sluggish and unresponsive :p and maybe if it could go faster
really great concept with real good execution!!!
the sounds of falling and the pickaxe scraping against the walls were pretty satisfying
although i wish there was a clearer indication of how far you have to fall in order to die (and also let the player respawn automatically :p)
really good job :>
the movement is really fun and interesting!! the physics are really well done however yeah its hard to understand how to actually mine or obtain fuel?? it just puts like a marker on it or something
and also when you run out of fuel it just makes you infinitely boost and constantly spinning in the direction u were moving in. was there meant to be a death screen??
but yeah the art was great and the concept is nice :>
damnn this is a really clean and solid entry! the music was simple but really effective and the controls feel really good (although it took a couple of attempts to get used to). and its a really creative take on the theme!
i lovee how health was implemented (though it took me a few tries to realise that the car fires a laser that damages me :p) but i like how it shows clearly when you take damage. maybe some sound effect when you get hit could be better?
overall a really fun game. well done!! :> Connection Lost 10_4_2021 9_02_37 PM.png
@dobryn haha thank you!! its the first time i only came up with the name of the game towards the end of the second day
@doc-kaos damn really??? thanks so much for reading lol
@mahjoub i think on the download tab at the bottom you can click on the upward-facing arrow and keep the file instead of discarding it.
@shootboots haha thanks for playing!! ughh yeah i was also planning to have a sound effect when the blocks get destroyed/repaired and the bell ring too but when i tried it just didn't sound right so i ended up not putting it in. maybe if i spend more time i can probably get the sounds i want i guess
also how was it crashing??? is it when something specific happens or its random??
@hammerfrenzy thank you! honestly when i started making the game i didn't have any intention for the bells at all but i guess it was a good decision in the end :>
@diego-escalante thanks for the feedback!!! i am quite proud of the amount of levels i made haha (and as a matter of fact i completely forgot some level ideas i wanted to put in and i only remembered until the day after it ended -.- which explains the postjam version lol)
and i also agree that its quite tiny :p
@octahedronsoftware thank you so much! yeah getting some people to playtest they got stuck super easily lol, i'm already working on a version that has probably more 'balanced' levels
@mvasko2 damnn thanks so much!! i am still trying to learn sfx design and how to make music :p but i will definitely continue to try and experiment hahah. thanks for enjoying my game!!! it has 20 levels (postjam 22 levels) btw
@pdotjpg sighh yeah its a persistent issue for clickteam fusion .exe files for some reason and i put it in the install instructions section. just press 'more info' and 'run anyways'. still trying to find ways to get around that so sorry about that :p
EDIT: so after more research i found out that for this game engine it will always trigger a false positive for antivirus systems, and the only way to really go around that issue is to sign a digital certificate, which is incredibly expensive :p
however i found out theres an option to build the program so that it can make a "install program" so its a wizard, but it looks super sketchy and i dont know if people would want smth like that to happen (since it looks pretty similar to trying to pirate a game cough cough)
@jonah-srg thanks so much!! when i came up with the idea for the bell i simultaneously came with the idea of the scaredcrows and i think i am quite proud of that idea lol. and it did make level design a lot more fun (like the 3rd level after those birds were introduced hehe)
i also plan to add sfx once i have the time. i already made a few sounds but i still need to tune them right :p thanks!!!
very nice and simple game! the controls feel incredibly smooth and the design can create some really fun and hectic scenarios!!
the ui and selections were very clear and simple (and i love the use of emojis for the customers)
overall really clean and fantastic game!! good job :>
damnn a really unique mechanic with a nice aesthetic!!
although i know its the point but its pretty hard to see if an object is actually there or not most of the time (maybe just make it slightly transparent instead? idk)
i didnt finish it because i got crushed by a door after going thru so much work -3- but thats my fault. overall a really polished and well designed entry!
a really nice game! i love the silly art style combined with the haphazard stacking of buildings makes for a really fun experience
while the concept of the housing agriculture and industry thing is really interesting design-wise, i think i didn't really pay attention to it that much (which explains why i have no idea why sometimes it prevents me from taking a building -.-)
overall the physics, sound effects (especially when u lose hahaha) and mechanics are super polished and really fun. great job! (and the game title is perfect, too)
i really love the 3d perspective. also i managed to go through like the first couple of levels by just walking past the enemies. probably unintentional but i think the ai makes for some genuinely fun "stealth" by having to walk past the enemies at the correct time lmao (just a shame that the bullets from the red enemies cant hit other enemies :p) and being chased by like 10 robots is oddly exhilarating. and i think the red skull thing for each level is really unique and interesting (even if i clearly did not kill all enemies haha) oh and the sounds the enemies make also provides really effective feedback too
overall good job! i think the guns can be shown more clearly, as well as the gun type (i know the clip size is different but i didnt really focus on the guns that much tbh)
overall a really good experience!! well done :>
really polished game! i love the soundtrack and how it adapts to the height, and also the particle effect for the clouds. the details of the flapping wings are also quite nice (although i thought the sound was coming from the music :p)
i also like the effect when you slow down time, however i found it kind of hard to actually use it (like the person above haha). its quite a shame since the feeling of it is quite well done
also i think that its a little rng based considering sometimes clouds are already going off the screen by the time i reach them o3o i know more clouds could pop up after it drifts offscreen but well thats the reason for like 90% of my deaths :p
great work!!
damnnn really polished. i like how it both tests your platformer skills, puzzle skills and claw-machine skills all in one
although i feel like in the second phase its hard to be precise cuz of the deceleration. but overall really clean entry!!
i really love the mechanics and the idea! although it was pretty easy and hard to mess up so there wasn't really a lot of strategy as there could have been. its super fun to increase the size and gather your army to rush forwards. overall really fun idea and great execution! the sfx is also really good
yeah its a really interesting game and the concept has a lot of potential. seeing the serial number at the bottom left reminds me of keep talking and nobody explodes and how some puzzles rely on the serial number haha :p. even though it was quite short, i still think you did quite a good job! well done!!
damnnn for such a minimalist game its oddly really fun and engaging, and the idea of a semi real time text adventure game can be expanded upon a whole ton :OO. yeah i feel more variety would be better, but the concept is executed really really well. great entry!!
very interesting mechanics and concepts! the music and the overall theme of the game is really well executed.
i feel that the paint mechanic has a lot of potential, but when the main thing you're doing is wandering from room to room its pretty difficult to plan out a certain color that you want to have.
great work overall tho!
yeah i had to take a while to understand the "long sound" for the electrified floor :-: and the timer doesnt help hahah
but honestly yeah it is a very interesting concept to have certain abilities of your character disabled (although i would've liked it if it was given some kind of warning) and the music is really good at creating the atmosphere. nice!
really pretty aesthetics and i like how you have to really read and interpret the event to judge the outcome
for a jam game the mechanics and design is really clean and polished
(though a bit of a nitpick but the kerning has some issues haha)
neat game! i like the extra challenge given from the horse and how u can change the 'scream power' lol
the graphics were simplistic but still looked really nice and the physics and mechanics are really good
the horses' names are also a nice touch :> Un Stabled by zarinel - Google Chrome 10_4_2021 10_01_20 AM.png
super cathartic and a really simple but innovative idea. i think adding sfx would make it like ten times more satisfying hahah. super well done (although sometimes i could just push letters into the floor and it would disappear. is that intended? haha)
damn really nice entry! the graphics were nice and simple and the mechanics and different types of difficulties were really nice additions wow.JPG
i think one issue is that its pretty difficult to have any kind of strategy actually
my highest score was because i kept stacking cubes on top of each other in a straight column until it all came crashing down and i never got higher by any other way haha
i understand that making the cubes that you spawn drop increases the difficulty, but it also makes the perspective pretty confusing and hard to be precise to have any real strategy
but overall the minimalist graphics and mechanics were really well done. good job!
holy heck this is a really good entry! i love the animals rolling around and the physics and mechanics were simple and sweet. the sound effects are also rather charming and music is really nice too.
but yeah the only issue is that its hard to actually have any kind of strategy or precision, since its hard to tell the radius of your wrangling. i guess thats the point but otherwise this is super clean and polished. great game!!
definitely an interesting concept with potential!! there is a sense of back and forth between the two states and fitted in nicely with the theme.
however i think there can be some minor improvements. honestly it felt a lot safer to just wait out the wolf period because using the gun is way more reliable (and i could know the range of the attack :p) and the speed difference wasn't very impactful. the attacks also feel kind of slow but thats just nitpicking.
i think your game fits really well with the theme and has a lot of potential! good job!!
actually a really fun experience once you get used to the controls. the sound effects make all 3 actions really satisfying and i could honestly just spam the spacebar to hear the horse go through all the sounds all day lol. plus the physics of the body and the facial and leg animations are actually really well done. just curious how did you do all of that in ctf 2.5?? honestly impressed. good job! :>
damn the voice acting is perfect :ok_hand:
i think it might've been better to show subtitles since the state change relies on you understanding what was said :p
okay honestly i really tried to get past the first stage but i consistently kept dying from spikes everywhere, greed and bat frenzy :| really wish it gave me some warning of what was happening next because spikes everywhere causes spikes to be directly underneath my feet -_-. plus the lack of invincibility frames did not help o3o
but honestly with the sheer variety of effects i think it can really make for a fun and chaotic experience and what the golf-level humour, and the voice acting is genuinely really funny. the tutorial and particle effects are also really well done.
(also fyi thank you so much for your clickteam tutorials!!!!! in fact the game i submitted this time around is also in clickteam. your platformer tutorial was probably what made most of my games platformers ahah. and good job on your game! :D)
very cute game! i like the simplicity and i really like the artstyle and sound effects :> just wondering is the payment like fixed or is it actually inevitable because i think if the movement was smoother and the farming feedback was more clear (?) i would actually play something like this. nice!
i think there is a lot of potential in this game. i really love how you can actually feel the effect of global warming gameplay-wise from the rising sea levels, and also creates a really hectic sense of urgency and panic lol. also i think that the balance of all of the buildings are surprisingly well rounded. all the stats feel like a classic real time strategy game, but all are linked together quite intuitively from each of the buildings. i just wished that there was a bit more strategy in terms of how to strategize building placement, since it was mostly me spamming everything everywhere :p. maybe if there was also more time i think it could honestly be a really fun concept for a real time strategy game :> good job
nice game! i think right now its a little barebones since i didnt really see a lot of incentive to use anything other than crystal tiles (but i guess i shouldnt be saying anything since i only got a score of like 100k :p)
i think i would really look forward to further updates since i think u can really feel the inevitableness of the arrows and it could be a really fun turn based strategy game. good job :>
damnn i love this entry!! i never thought i would ever see such a manic roguelike dungeon crawler controlled entirely with the mouse. i love how all of the elements like fighting, moving through rooms, showing the map and are part of the super clean and creative ui. its super addicting just clicking on everything (like playing osu lol)
sheesh.JPG 10/10 would play again later
love this entry! its super engaging to keep the balance between water and health, and theres a lot of depth in the two modes of attacking since there is a lot of variety of enemies for a game jam game :>. i also really liked the shop music lol. i just wished it was easier to predict the enemy's movement, since it appears that the enemies move before you attack :/. also its kind of difficult to see whether you are in range to get hit by an enemy?? other than that i think this 'being on fire' mechanic works super well with the theme and the gameplay :>
really clean game! the mechanics are creative and well executed, and i really love the art and sound effects. maybe if i wasnt dumb i could try and strategise because its suprisingly hard haha, especially with the rule that the space below the drop area has to be completely empty. overall its a really solid entry. nice :>
thanks for all the feedback! i would definitely develop this idea further!
