The perspective of going down into the depths from above was amazing. I loved exploring, finding new things, and seeing more of the cavern. The style of the graphics was definitely interesting, but I almost wished they were a bit clearer to see what I was looking at. Though seeing that angler fish up close was pretty amazing regardless. The sound of the sub was pretty cute, too. The music became repetitive pretty quickly, though.
Awe man, nothin I love more than exploring the sea. This was so nice and relaxing. There's so much to sea!

A charming little game. Really enjoyed the graphics and mouth sound effects xD Though, in my opinion, searching for the last few coins got pretty tedious.

Excellent game, well constructed and feels like a complete package. Very chill and fun to explore. I kind of feel that tank-style controls would have been a better fit for this. Also, finding the last dot or 2 was frustrating without a faster movement option.

Love the 3D with a 2D art style, plus the music created a really nice atmosphere. Couldn't find the last coin though but great game!
very cool graphics! did you roll your own shader for this?
@robochase6000 yup! Pixelize + colour threshold + depth fade + outline. It was a fun weekend. :)
I guess I'll buy a PC so I can play. Probably worth it.
Now this is some good stuff right here. I ab-so-lu-tely LOVE the graphics style of this game, in fact it is something that I would like to play around with myself. Only I sometimes had trouble gaugeing the depth od my submarine with the coins.
The music and sound effects were really fitting and the game was just put together really nicely.
I think I agree, that the tank controls would be better with this one, but that is a subjective preference :)
Very good job with this one I really liked this and if this ever comes out as something more than a LD entry, I would certainly love to play it :)
Nice Game! I like the shader and the general feel of it. In the end I was missing a single coin :/ Maybe the could be something to help you find the coins.
Very fun game! Art and music go hand in hand, and I really enjoyed both.
The camera in this context is excellent, as well as the game fits the theme perfectly. I couldn't find two of the treasures, though ...so close! haha.
Amazing work, congratulations!
**Notes/Spoilers:**
If you're **missing two coins**, they're likely the ones in the the two holes (one right at the beginning, and one down and off to the right).
I've starting a **twitter thread** showing how I did the graphical effects, and some other things here: https://twitter.com/MattWoelk/status/1388974277634924548

The 3D with pixel art style works really well here
You really get the sense of claustrophobia with the way the shaders work (which is a good thing!) Also not sure why but I absolutely love the music, nice work!
I like your take on 3D here.
Great game! It was really satisfying, and there were a couple that were really hard to find, but eventually I got them all! The graphics gave me some real "A Short Hike" vibes, and the music set the mood really well. The seaweed looked especially good with the pixelated graphics.
a really great entry!!! i really love the style and the gameplay and the music, it really sets the mood of descending into the sea
the camera angle is also surprisingly well executed! very well done

love the style
The art style was quite cool - though the high colors and sharp aliasing made it look just a little rough around the edges. Would probably look great on a tiny screen though.
The movement speed and especially the descent speed felt a little bit slow, especially when compared to the comparatively fast ascent speed. I often found myself rocketing upwards to survey my surroundings then sloooowly going back down.
Without enemies or puzzles, there wasn't a great deal to do, but it was still fun to just explore this environment, and I did eventually get all of the yellow thingies and 'upgrade' to the pink submarine.
