LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck on Mars by Emkani 2020-10-26T04:31:53Z

Great game!! i love the music and the gameplay itself. Very addictive! Well done.

Ascend by almost 2020-10-20T03:45:18Z

Impressive! Gorgeous art - in every aspect. Great ambientation and really interesting puzzles. And everything with a solid ideia inside theme. Well done!

Cursorial by RedHermit 2020-10-16T03:52:52Z

Liked everything about this game, but nothing compares to Phil! haha. Well done!

Crypted by KallThar 2020-10-26T04:38:58Z

Great game! it's simple and short, but well polished. Really liked the light mechanism, well done!

How to kill your grandparents by Arcus 2020-10-17T14:37:12Z

What a great game! The music is really nice, i think that the 'store' is a nice touch too, and the gamepay is awesome!! One of the greatest games that i played in this jam, and i could play it for a loooong time haha. Well done!

The Claimants of Death by SirMichel 2020-10-25T22:07:09Z

Great game! The gameplay is fun and intuitive, the level design is great, but i recomend a skip button in the intro cutscene, it's too long haha. But surely a great work! Well done.

Start The Game (Together) by Raivk 2020-10-13T03:18:08Z

Really liked the graphics, but that is not why the game is so interesting. Great job with the interpretation of the concept, the UI and the transitions - all surrouding the theme. Well done!

Prison Endless by EndSSGamesStudio 2020-10-17T14:54:28Z

What a nice game!! I really liked almost everything, and for a Jam i'am not considering the lack of variety. But if you want to do an update, that is a lot of things that you can do with this mechanic. Well done for the great work! :)

RENT by Jam373 2020-10-17T15:04:08Z

Wow, that is the first game made with Game Maker that i played in this Jam, well done for that! Even that it's not my style, i really enjoy the graphics and the idea. Just a few tips here: try to make the dialogue (into cutscenes) in the game, with a dialogue box or something else, it should make this game more dynamic. Another thing is that a missed an UI, there is no way to see what's my score. That said, it's a really nice game, and i'll be waiting for an update haha. Well Done! :)

SpaceC by ZevsEHG 2020-10-14T05:16:14Z

Really nice game! I liked the way you fit everything in a subtle way (like the atmosfere, music and gameplay fitting theme).

The only thing that a think you can improve for now, is that you could increase a little bit the 'field of view', platform games in 3D first person cameras could be tricky to do, 'cause sometimes the perspective get in the way and the player could not see the right distance for a 'safe' jump. But i really liked the game, and hope for an update soon :D

Dungeon Loop by radgegames 2020-10-13T03:00:01Z

Really good job!! What i liked most was the visual - remembers me the gameboy Color games. The back-sound music is nice, and you worked well in the concept of "looping gameplay" when you did a "level" game.

That said, i don't know if you gonna keep updating this game. But if you do, it could be a lot more fun if the game have more musics - instead of the only one back-ambient-sound. And maybe, as soon as the game starts, some explaining how the loop works (i didn't see the loop count on the UI changes).

And again, congrats!

Devoured by St1ckY 2020-10-20T03:31:15Z

Had just a little problem with the camera sens, but in spite of that, it is a very nice game. Looking forward to play the post-jam version. Congrats!

Games are So Much Fun by Rainbows are Fun 2020-10-17T15:11:54Z

Don't know if is just me, but i found the game i little confuse. Don't know what i should do when 'pressed enter'. I go to the second room and...well. Buuuut, i really liked the art, theme and music, so i see that it deserves an update, maybe!? haha. Great work on everithing, and if you can give me some tips or make some tutorial in the game, just let me know that i should play it again! :)

Loop Cure by pedrocoden 2020-10-17T14:14:12Z

Nice Game! What i liked most was the music, and the ideia of 'looping' that you use is cathy, maybe you should consider an update :). Just a little tip here: when i exit the game, for a moment, appears some 'warnings' on the console; If you already consider to do an update, take a look on that. That said, is a really nice game. Congrats!!

Ouroboros by JoeDev 2020-10-16T04:07:01Z

Really nice game! Complete, fun and not so easy. Great job!

Clockwork by Zackary Bazzle 2020-10-14T04:46:23Z

Great Job! What i liked most is that the 'lonely' atmosfere, the music and 'loop' gameplay are well defined in the game. The idea of 'slow time' is nice, but i can't see much use of that - means that have potencial and you can play a little more with that concept. I notice a little bug too, when i run and try to use the 'slow time', somehow my character ended up in limbo haha. Another thing that you can change is the pause key, or maybe you can mention what key to press in tutorial.

In other words, is a nice game! I hope to play an update soon :D

In A House by LRVStudios 2020-10-06T10:19:46Z

@radgegames i use upBGE and PyCharm for this one. Thanks for the feedback! that is a lot that i can't did during the jam, but i will update the game soon - after i rest and play, of course :). Any ideas? Hehe

In A House by LRVStudios 2020-10-06T15:05:29Z

Thank you, @raivk. I'am happy that you found a way out!! As soon as i'am well rested, will start to work on the update. :)

In A House by LRVStudios 2020-10-17T15:21:02Z

@pedrocoden Cheers!! Thank you for playing it.

@arcus Thanks!! I'am happy that you enjoy it :)

@endssgamesstudio Yeeei, already play your game and leave my feedback! Thanks for playing, and i'm glad that you enjoy it :).

@jam373 Thanks for the feedback and, of course, for playing! :). I agree with everything that you said haha, and soon as the rating ends, i'll start an update for this game.

@rainbows-are-fun Thanks very much! =)

In A House by LRVStudios 2020-10-20T04:25:21Z

@adafheyesh Thank you very much for the feedback! It is randomized, but the math behind the time, colors and positions still need some work. I'am considering to make a post-jam update, and actually make all the improvements you said. Thanks again!

@satolas Thanks!! Actually, i thought that "I" for Inventory was ok, but i totally agree with the lack pf explanation about the controls, and i'm sorry. About the 'key' colors, nice observation! i didn't think about that. Thanks again, and hope to do all of these improvements for a post-jam version.

INSIDE THE LOOP by aerloth 2020-10-20T04:06:36Z

Impressive! Really cool mood, the art really get me, and the puzzles and scenes are very interesting. Well done!

Ape Space by Pinauna 2020-10-27T02:02:44Z

Great game!! I loved the mechanics, visual and gameplay itself is addictive. The only sugeston that i should make - if you intent to make an update - is about variety. Maybe if the player could upgrade some itens in order to fix and complete tasks, it would be very fun! Well done.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Into the Woods by KerelOlivier 2021-05-05T21:57:00Z

Really great atmosphere, music and art - character, background, the little 'spheres' ... I really liked it.

the only thing i would like to add is a way of looking down - because sometimes i couldn't see the platforms.

Despite that, the gameplay is good and this game is really a piece of art. beautiful and straight to the theme. Great work!

Nuclear Arms 8: Navigate the Hate by Logicon211 2021-05-02T05:09:33Z

Awesome game! Kraig is really a charismatic character. Loved it!

Krepkiy Oreshek by tangiblegames 2021-05-01T23:48:11Z

What a great game! Incredible atmosphere, gameplay and animations. Graphics and historical mention give it a nice toutch... and all are well polished.

For a moment, I was a little sad because I thought it was an endless game - until I saw the first comment. So I go back to the game, play it all over again and, to my surprise ... tadรฃ: deppMachJapan.gif

The only thing I missed was a "depth" marker on the screen. If I hadn't seen that comment, I probably wouldn't have made it to the final scene.

Another thing that could be a small "bug" is that at a certain point in the boss' fight, the sfx stopped working - i could only hear the music - wich is parfect, by the way.

Overall, i liked this game very much. Great work!

THE PIT by Almax 2021-04-29T00:13:28Z

So good that i didn't wanna stop playing. All in this game was carefully insert, in a way that the mechanics, atmosphere, enemies and absolutely all - including the sounds - create this amazing progression. Great work, soon i will play the implemented version.

Note - a charismatic character named frank appeard in the right time, and for a moment i wished him to start to talk haha.

My best regards.

The Squeaky Affair by bmacintosh 2021-05-02T18:13:57Z

Hard to not play! I have absolute nothing to criticise. What a amazing game.

Simple - yet challenging mechanics. Combined with all in the game - art, music and atmosphere - made this an outstanding experience! Great work!

Morning Shift by Iluvatar 2021-05-04T21:19:35Z

Simple, yet has a deep atmosphere, that intrigues me with the question..."why barry didn't finish his job?". That could give you so much space to work on a bigger game!

I think tha 'point-and-click mechanics suits well here and fits perfectly in this game. The art reminds me a old game called "Darkness" - which i like very much.

you managed to fit both 'mech' and 'deeper' concepts as well, great job on that! Really short though...wanted to play it more! haha. Great work!

Sinking Feeling by skiddings 2021-04-29T23:11:23Z

Great ideia, graphichs and mechanics. Actually, i found almost everything in this game exceptional...but i see the same problems that i had in my own game, and i'm doing my best to manage that:

Too much information plus the lack of a simpler hud = a confusing game.

Believe me, i can imagine the amount of heart you put in it, and as i say, the ideia is great! Just make it simpler for the player that the game is gonna became outstanding. Another thing tha might give some weigth it's a nice soundtrack.

I will be expecting ansiously for an update. My best regards!

Journey To The Center Of The World by paulhocker 2021-05-04T17:49:25Z

It's a great game! There are only two things that I think could be improved:

- The punishment for hitting a stone is too great! I don't know if it's just me, but this abrupt change in speed makes me a little dizzy. Perhaps if the penalty were 30% of the actual speed could solve this problem.

- Eventually, I hit a stone that was covered by a power-up, and it's a little frustrating - you think you are rocking, but then ... it's rock. haha.

Despite these two things, I really enjoyed this game - the art is great, excellent musical choice and could have a big 'replay factor' for me, if you deal with this speed penalty. Great work!

Deep Down by dcrdro 2021-05-01T22:59:51Z

What a weird, original and fun way to bring out the theme!

I mostly getted what was your intention with story, and i can see how much effort you did to bring this concept. It's a lot twisted, but with the certain amount of heart - and mostly time - could became an outsdanding game.

The art style, character movement and sounds i liked very much! Kinda makes sense for this game.

but for sure the story and the progression of the game lacks some content. For an update, i would consider to rewrite the story to fill the gaps and trully express what you want.

Great work! I'll be waiting for an update ansiously.๐Ÿ˜€

DigSweeper by radmccool 2021-05-02T01:35:27Z

A higher level of this old game: minesweeper.gif

I think it was your intent, after all. Loved the reference!

It is a very addictive game! You may need some small elements on the screen, like "score" and "level" maybe. But I really liked the way you took that old concept and adapted it to the theme, I thought it was amazing.

The sound of the strong wind also gives this game an incredible atmosphere. I think that if you put in some "sky changes", like a good hdri, it could add some weight to the game.

Great work!

The Legend of Water by darkfrost 2021-04-30T06:23:25Z

Game very good! The art style, in addition to being coherent with the game, really enchanted me! The music is very relaxing, which matches the atmosphere of the game.

But there comes a point when there are no new things to pick up, and it gets kind of repetitive. Maybe it is something to be considered for an update? Anyway, the game is very good! Congrats!

into the cabal by profan 2021-05-01T17:22:56Z

Really great graphics, coherent atmosphere and music, and nice idea to explore the theme.

Altough, i know that it's a maze, and maybe that was your intent with this game, but unfortunately i get stuck in the maze with no clue on how to keep going.

Maybe the answer is in the texts, but it disapear to quickly - as i don't have the hability to read faster haha.

If you keep with the ideia to "go down" into the maze, with some tips (sound tips maybe could be interesting to be add) and put a "Press Key" to skip the texts - but with the player control to skip, so that way anyone could read it, it can became a incredible game!

I really enjoyed my time while playing it. Great work! Will be waiting ansiously for an update.๐Ÿ˜€

Deadlift by slimabob 2021-04-28T23:13:03Z

Really liked the atmosphere, menu, graphics and audio. It is outstanding for a jam, great work on that.

The only thing that i should say it's about the ilumination/flashlight - too dark for me, could be interesting if you increase or the flashlight luminosity or the enviroment just a little bit.

Despite that, is a amazing game! Congrats.

Sea Game by MattWoelk 2021-05-02T21:21:14Z

Very fun game! Art and music go hand in hand, and I really enjoyed both.

The camera in this context is excellent, as well as the game fits the theme perfectly. I couldn't find two of the treasures, though ...so close! haha.

Amazing work, congratulations!

Enemy Territory by OldenGamer 2021-04-29T22:39:47Z

I can imagine the amount of heart that it's been put in this game.

While i was playing, i was doing the images in my head, and reminds me when i was 13y and play table rpg with my friends - same feeling. Thanks for that!

I really loved this game! Great work. The only things that i think you should put in it is a soundtrack and maybe a map.

Down the Mines and Ghosts by UnidayStudio 2021-04-28T00:39:46Z

Really fun game!

The graphics are well polished, the "replay factor" is not a problem - in case of repetition - 'cause the mood and humor that this game propitiate are awesome. So, of a overall look, it's a incredible game!

That said, here's why i can't give the five stars for:

- Music - kinda miss the soundtrack during the game - though i've loved the menu music.

- Inovation - it felt like i was playing a different version of "Loopers Path" with that ghosts. I like it very much, but it seens like you've used the same mechanics.

- Theme - i know that we are going "deeper" on levels, but i couldn't see where the mechanics are applyed to that. I don't know, could be a idea for a different game or an update for this one, but if we had to control the level of elevator while we have to manage our shots and positions, would make more sense to theme proposal.

Note: Huge fan of your works. Congrats on this amazing game. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Darkest Forest: The Legendary Tree Hunt by agrdev 2021-04-28T22:35:58Z

Really cool and fun game! It took me a while to know where to go, but then i noticed the light change...really cool.

Kinda feel 'empty' with no soundtrack at all - Maybe it would get really nice if there is a ambient sound or a back soundtrack.

When i press 'esc', hoping to see a "pause" or "menu", the game quits. It would be nice having a pause menu in the future. But that is all about the "athmosphere" of the game, wich it is pretty cool already, by the way.

Now, about a thing or two that i have noticed about how things are working - when i pick the legendary tree, i could not be able to cut trees or light a bonfire, and again i felt lost into the woods haha.

It would be nice to be able to do that when i have the tree. Other thing that might help others players is put a "angle control" of the camera - somtimes i could not see the bonfire or passages between trees.

quick note: it might hurt a little to have that big tree on his back...ouch! haha

with 'all' this been said, i liked it very, very much this game. It is really fun, the mechanics are simple but catchy, and kinda relaxing. Congrats and my best regards!

Black Magic, White Cat by Lyxil 2021-04-29T23:54:40Z

Great novel! The art style, history and concept are amazing, really great work!

The Bottom of the Snow by Enver Arco 2021-05-01T18:15:17Z

Really good idea! I liked the graphics and the changes in the dialogues. The atmosphere of survival provides an excellent mood to explore the theme, and the mechanics - altough limited - are pretty interesting.

But I must say that the amount of snow generated is huge! This can be a problem of "repetition" later, as we have to "clean" most of the time "tons" of snow. And the amount of fish we found is very low. I couldn't survive more than 5 days - with a lot of effort cleaning the snow haha.

I say this because the game seems too cool for a "repetitive survival mechanic", which I imagine is not your intention.

That said, it's an incredible game. You could add some new sub-mechanics like "fishing" and find food more easily, "dig" faster or lessen the spawning of snow - maybe an 'power-up', idk.

Overall, i really enjoyed this game and will be looking forward for an update. Great work!

Into The Forest by megalukes 2021-05-03T22:34:43Z

Really beautiful art, great concept and i liked very much the sounds. Really well polished and quite a charming game. It's kind of challenging though, as i don't find any source for replainish health. Despite that, found it a amazing game. Great work.

Diving Sea Code by MrJotubes 2021-05-03T20:11:50Z

That are a lot of things that i loved about this game, that i'm gonna point the most unic and importants in my opinion.

It's really immersive, the colors and sound changes are amazing, and i found it a nice touch put the "watch pause menu". These three gives some huge weigth for this game. Great work!

The only thing that i should mention that is not so good, is that we don't actually have a clue where the notes are, or how much we should collect. Despite that, it's a great game.

Deeper and Deeper P. I. Agency by v1ru6 2021-04-28T22:58:48Z

Really cute character, well polished game and interesting idea! Nice work on that, and if you keep working on this project, it will be a amazing game, i'm sure of that.

But as @thebmxeur said, some things could be improved, like the lack of sound, the movement of camera - it is too slow - and for sure more instructions.

Have to say, my game became much more confusing then yours, but i'm working on that too!

That been said, the game have much potential and i liked the ideia and the art style very much. I would like to play an update and will be waiting ansiously for that. Congrats on the good work and my best regards.

Mission: Descend by JuanJ7 2021-04-29T23:33:28Z

Great game! I definitely loved the art, the music and the overall idea of โ€‹โ€‹the game. Unfortunately, I loosed all my games haha. The bomb should perhaps spawn in the front, not above, but i think that is the only 'minor' ishue. Congrats!

Alien Dig Invasion by Rawrasaur 2021-05-03T21:47:16Z

Cool character, dialogue placed, a concept that feels kinda "terraria" with a creepy mood. I loved it!

The only and only thing that i missed was sounds, but despite that, i liked very much this game. Great work!

Down the Machine World by Sempiternal 2021-05-02T01:57:15Z

I really loved the atmosphere. All the sounds and art style match, and I didn't have any major problems with the mechanics - but sometimes the cube gets stuck when too close to a wall, and the view of the camera that is sometimes blocked by some wall, makes very difficult know what's going on.

Nevertheless, it is a great game! What I liked most were the sounds and the artistic style. It gives a specific atmosphere to the game, which I really liked. Great job!

7 DEEPS by ardorugus 2021-04-29T03:43:24Z

Maybe I have a right answer? or not? idk haha. The art style, the music and the atmosphere enchanted me, but I didn't quite understand what to do.

If you have a little tutorial it will be enough to make the game amazing - itโ€™s interesting enough! Good work and my compliments, I hope you continue to work on this project.

Into the Storm by Vladadamm 2021-04-30T05:20:56Z

It has definitely a great mood and atmosphere, with nice graphics and great narrative. I liked pretty much the start of the game, and for sure has much potencial!

But i have to say that it would be perfect if, right after we start, the narrative didn't show again.

Doing that, i am sure that players would try more, 'cause can be really annoying see over and over the same text, without been capable of skip.

LD48 Deep Lab Droid by digital bacon 2021-05-03T21:35:03Z

Quite a short, yet an amazing game. Really fun to play, with well polished graphics and great music. Great work!

Deeper Into The Mind by michaelyount 2021-05-03T22:08:42Z

A short game, and yet so amusing! Really liked on how you bring out theme, nice mechanics, great art-style and music. Great work!

To the Core by Eric Smith 2021-04-29T22:27:29Z

Incredible game! A lot of fun, well polished, simple mechanics and straight to the topic ... great job!

Jaws of Earth by IceEye 2021-05-04T03:54:56Z

Interesting game! Can't wait for new updates on this. PS: The character reminds me 'Lara Croft' haha. Great work!

Deeper Dungeons by MrBlue 2021-05-03T03:01:19Z

Nice atmosphere and music, and i loved the art style. But as a old fan of a classic dungeon rpg, kinda hard not to like this game haha. Great work!

Shrink and Destroy by Tomssuli 2021-05-04T21:44:29Z

Really fun and cool game. Nice sounds and cool gameplay. Don't understand where it fits on theme, but is a nice game indeed. Great work!

Just Another Job by ynneblack 2021-05-02T02:21:17Z

I really liked this game! You were capable of show the characters' personality for us, without even a voice or picture. Amazing!

It's a charismatic narrative, with aincredible music - also, i have to mention the nice touch with "start menu".

I didn't have any problems (bugs) with this game, and even could greet "pepa" haha. Great work and i can't wait to see how you'll improve it. Wish you the best!

Club U.G. by kr0s 2021-05-02T17:27:58Z

I loved the music, the concept and the character. In addition, the game's progression looks incredible - but unfortunately, on my pc I had a drop in fps, and the character's movement sometimes actually becomes a teleport to me - makes it impossible to reach the platforms.

I couldn't play 'till the end, but I really liked what I could. Especially, the soundtrack and chracter model.Great work!

Deep Sea by enderswype 2021-04-30T01:08:10Z

EasterEgg.gif

We could make an "Easter Egg" for each other haha.

Jokes aside, it's a amazing game! Very responsive mechanics, good music and sounds (effects). The atmosphere is cool, the game itself is intuitive to understand and goes straight to the point on theme.

Great work on this game!

Deep Sea Mining by Ausstein 2021-05-03T19:53:16Z

That certainly is the kind of game that i wished to play forever. Amazing concept, nice atmosphere and really fun gameplay. Loved it, great work!

Monday by Dobrila 2021-05-03T22:17:16Z

OMG, what a incredible soundtrack!! If you picked, nice choice! If you did it, well done! It's really enjoyable and kinda reminds me the mood of "LoU". The jokes are well placed, the gameplay is fun, but unfortunatly i couldn't find my car haha. Great game, wish you the best.

Dive into the abyss by xiyou 2021-05-02T21:33:26Z

I loved the idea to explore the theme you used in this game. The art is incredible, and i had much fun playing this card game. Great work!

The Good Neighbour by Grommel 2021-05-01T19:20:49Z

What a charismatic character! If you had putted some story - just a bit of what is on his mind - would be awesome!

The game is really fun, i loved the concept and the idea - i see a reference for a vault, maybe? haha. Loved it! It's extremelly cohesive from the begining. Great work on that!

The major problem is the camera - i know, 3rd Person camera could be a pain in the a...and i can imagine how much effort you put on this one.

But for a GameJam - unless you already have an optimized script for 3d cameras - i recommend you use a fixed camera or a first person. It could'd give you lots of time to work on the mechanics and polishment.

In overall, i really liked your game! Will be awaiting ansiously for an update ๐Ÿ˜€

Stone Monster Mountain by Steffy 2021-05-05T17:19:50Z

Really liked the soundtrack and the atmosphere of this game. It's a great idea that gives you the chance to scallate, and improve like a rpg or so.

On the other hand, i think the level design could be improved somehow, 'cause lacks a nice and sweet progression - for instance, the first enemy i found (Loved the battle as turns, by the way) takes forever to die, and causes almost the same amount of damage as player. It's like a boss already.

It would be really nice if the game have little enemies before, to explain the battle mechanics, and then scalate on harder enemies.

With thah said, i really liked playing it and think that has a lot of potencial. Hope you continue working on this project, wish you the best!

Mocap, Mo' Problems by Skleembof 2021-04-30T01:22:32Z

Where's the queen.gif

Where's the queen? haha.

Jokes aside, I really liked the idea. This game is as unique as soundtrack in it, and has a lot of potential to reach a "higher" level RPG, like "diablo" or something like that.

I look forward to an update - I think you already know, but I must mention that neither AI or mechanics are working properly. But it's really a great idea, and i enjoyed my time playing it. congratulations!

Maze Of The Minotaur by PythooonUser 2021-04-30T03:37:42Z

I love games that take me back to my childhood haha.

Yes, I'm a little nostalgic, but the atmosphere reminds me of a game that I really like.

The balance between the character's voice and the whistle is perfect - cool touch, by the way.

I feel excited just thinking about how the game is going to get "deeper" and what kind of things are you thinking of doing. Great work!

Catlantis by fabula_rasa 2021-05-04T19:55:43Z

Really great game! The atmosphere, music, graphics...all well fit to theme. The gameplay is fun, has a small narrative that made me laugh - which i loved it - and has cats. haha Great work!

What do cats dream of ? by Duck Reaction 2021-05-02T20:15:50Z

I have cats in house, so i has pause the game several times for check if my cats or the game doing "miau" haha. Loved this game.

Simple mechanics, wich makes a nice mini game to spend some time. The art style and the music are amazing. And although i didn't get it where the theme is been applyed, i really enjoyed my time playing it. Great work!

Boris with a crazy dream by Kirby 2021-05-01T19:56:36Z

Wow! Great intro cutscene, nice concept, neat mechanics, excellent music choice, nice dialogues and a wonderful "bruh"๐Ÿ˜‚

Had a little problem with the 2nd floor (oxigen hold button), but after refresh itch page, all seen to work pretty fine.

Loved it! Great work.

In Search of Sigmund I by T C 2021-05-03T20:36:01Z

Wow! Didn't want to stop playing. There is so much happen here, that i'm gonna point only the major stuff.

Both music - shop and ocean - are amazing. The concept, art and the mood, also amazing.

But what i found really the most incredible is the progression in game - if you buy more stuff, the game gets harder. If you go deeper, it gets harder. The enemies change, the coins value change. Great work!

I deffinetly wouldn't find any strange if this game appears on steam later on. Congrats!

DeepHouse by RexGame 2021-05-04T03:14:49Z

Really beautiful piece of art, great song and a nice atmosphere. The puzzle i found too hard haha, but is a fun game Great work.

Gone Dark by Theg 2021-04-28T03:41:51Z

Really great concept, with an even better atmosphere.

it was a little harsh for me to find out what to do with the fuel-rock - plus the dense red fog that dificults the sight. But at the 3rd time playing, and with the understanding of how the nav-arrow works, i could manage to find out the source signal.

Congrats on this immersive and "deep" game, if you know what i mean haha.

Crypt Raider by chulini 2021-04-30T04:42:33Z

Really enjoyable game! I found pretty nice the way you guys did manage the levels - with right amount of progression and challenge. well done indeed.

The art styles didn't match, but i started to think that maybe that was the point - i nottice a reference of "doom" maybe in the skeletons? and what about the 90's prince of persia spines? I don't know if that what you meant, but i loved it! haha.

I kinda expected a little more from 6 people though, you guys certanly could manage one or two power ups, and a better polishment. But the lack of that didn't take away the fun of the game. Great work!

I'm Definitely Not Scared of My Own Basement by macaroni.dev 2021-04-28T06:47:43Z

Great way to explore the theme! I don't know if there is an ending or how far did i go, and the batteries seen to go out too quickly. But despite that, i had fun playing it. Congrats!

There's Something Down There by Uraffululz 2021-05-02T20:24:59Z

I liked the concept and the overall idea of the game really great! The models are well polished in my opinion, but the scenario doesn't match with the art style of models (sharks an character).

The game itself is really fun, but the "gun aim" has a little offset from mouse cursor - wich make me die several times haha.

Despite that, it's a cool game. Great work! Wish you the best.

Deep 90 by Bit Assembly 2021-05-05T17:00:57Z

Really immersive game, and a big reference of 'valve-half life'. I don't know if this was your actual goal, by i found it amazing. The concept, the atmosphere and sounds you had choose - incredible.

- camera : If i have to point some ishues, i would like to say about this little bug of camera control - for several times, the camera ''stucked'' and didn't goes beyond that point. I played from brower, and propably will try the downloadable version later - could be that.

- "How to play" : I had a problem on going beyon the "red-key-card", the first one. I picked the red key-card, but it doesn't work on the door - gives me a sound of "access deny" and i don't know what to do.

With that said, i really enjoyed the mood and if you could give me some tip about how to pass the first door, i will play it again. Could be 'cause i played from web, idk. As i said, will try it again later on the downloadable version. It's a great game, great work!

OVUM by mind0o 2021-04-30T04:13:21Z

The initial menu is really amazing! I loved the moving circles and i see you put an "options" menu too - nice touch!

I liked the story and the way you tell that, but i have to mention that the pretty dark background with that images showing up so intense could be problem for some people - like, a real health problem.

My tip is to reduce the bright colors, at least at their intensity. That should help. and that final white bright screen, should be more subtle in my opnion - almost get me blind haha.

Another think that i see other players already have said, is that in a certain point that it becames a little confusing what is happening.

But afterall, i had fun! this game made me laught a couple times for his unique ideia - a nice story, with a touch of humor. I loved the change of sound in the menu too!Great work and i wish you the best moving forward

Into the DEEP by Alex the Bear 2021-05-05T17:32:33Z

Great game! The models are really cool, the introduction, the colors and the general concept are incredible. Straight to the point.

The mechanics I found very difficult, especially on the first and third levels - on the second, the music beat rhythmically with the "right moment" to press the button - it is very difficult to do, but really great! If the other levels had the same accuracy, it would be awesome!

That said, i loved this game. It has a lot of possibilities to make it bigger, and is quite interesting already. Great work!

Deep molatoes by leggy 2021-05-03T21:23:05Z

Very good concept, straight to the theme, and a really challenging game! I loved it, great work!

Ps: i know that music, amazing reference! haha

Get Down by GroundDoon 2021-05-03T21:41:01Z

Pretty simple, yet with a great art style and excellent music choice in my opinion. It could be interesting if you add some sort of background changes while we get "deeper", and maybe a end? But in overall, it's a cool game! Great work.

This is not my Home by Evileptic 2021-04-29T03:55:44Z

I have to confess that I "accidentally" left the game after the final text appeared. Now I'm seriously thinking if I should play again ... ๐Ÿคฃ

Incredible game! Simple and intuitive, with a huge atmosphere, pleasant sounds and straight to the theme. Great job!

@skleembof,

Thanks for playing! I didn't had much time to do a tutorial, but definitely it's needed for the understanding bunch of variables that affect other parts of the submarine.

I am edditing the images right now so i can explain without change the game while the voting in going on.

But if you look closer, you will see that is 3 types of cameras in-game. Press "C" to go inside the submarine, then press "Tab" that the mouse cursor should appear, and access the "deep market" from there.

There you can buy improvements in order go deeper. - i believe that i put near -3000m to the victory, but you will have to find out. haha

Ps: the waste you colect, you can sell in the market, and buy more parts.

---------

@rashcan,

Thanks for playing! The original idea was to get you play inside the submarine, like a fps, and access other stuff - but obviously it would get a lot bigger and i couldn't finish on time.

I kinda adapted what i had done with the camera so you can access the market from there.

But it was definitly a nice tip, i will consider to simplificate the ui and do a tutorial soon.

---------

@pythooonuser,

Thanks for playing! Try to buy some more engines so you can move faster horizontally ๐Ÿ˜€

---------

Thanks again for playing, and please let me know if you have any problems or find any bugs so i can do my best to fix them.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-04-28T14:39:51Z

@mind0o,

Thanks for playing! The sounds and the music - that wich are ones of the parts that i mostly like to do do - i did put it in about 30 min before i export the game.

In relation of the "power ups", it's definitely need a tutorial and a "simpler" hud, maybe.

It's so sad that you didn't enjoy this version, but i really understand your point, appreciate your feedback and will try my best to improve the game when voting time ends.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-04-30T04:59:14Z

@theg,

Thanks for playing! I'm working on that! ๐Ÿ˜.

@miej, You're not wrong! Right at the beginning of the game, you have to go a little down so the engines start to work. The lacks of explanation plus a bunch of info equals a confusing game. noted. haha

Jokes aside, i'm working on that. Thanks for playing! ๐Ÿ˜€

@advay,

Thanks for playing! That is for sure the major problem of my game, and i'm taking notes of all you guys telling me in order to make it better. Thanks for that and i will consider to do that on ld49 - a smaller game ๐Ÿ˜

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-01T18:48:21Z

@substain , @narom42 Thanks for playing! It definitely needs more information and i'm working on it to give you guys a better experience. Thank you very much for the feedback.

@kirby , I am very happy that you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing and for the feedback.

@ardorugus , Thank you very much for the feedback! That feeling that you speak of, was actually my original intention with this game - to go deeper, in many ways.

I really understood what you meant by the song and I'm going to compose a better one for the next updates - but there are several things to manage first, like the amount of icons and information scattered around the scene and better guidance for the players. . this is going to be my main focus now.

The case of the position of the "mouse" is the first time that someone points out this problem. I will look for the problem when implementing the game.

Once again, thank you so much for playing and for this feedback!

@andrewaprice , Thank you so much for playing! The "alarm" sounds when the maximum pressure (atm) is less than the actual pressure. If the hull supports 10m and you are deeper than that, the alarm should sound. To avoid this - and to complete the game - you will have to buy more "pressure boosters" in the 'deepest market', inside the submarine.

@mololo , Thank you so much for playing! Glad you like!

About the 'confused' game I created, I am well aware of that haha. I'm working on how to show things more naturally to the players, to be able to maintain the game mechanics, and to show it in a simpler way, to make a lot more sense while you're playing.

Regarding the "volume", I thought it was an excellent idea! I will do my best to bring up an "options menu" in a later version.

Once again, thank you very much for playing, and I really appreciate your feeback - and all the others that i'm receiveing here.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-01T23:12:42Z

Thank you very much for playing it! And i'm grateful for such great feedback.

I'm working to improve the sounds, models and env light so you can see the trash more easily - there's something i'm thinking of doing about the mechanics of picking-up trash, but i'll leave that for a further update.

About the submarine movement, it was an excelent ideia - the inertia. I'll do my best to to implement that too! Thanks for the tip.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-02T17:02:19Z

@xiyou , Thank you very much! I try to do my best ๐Ÿ˜€

@kszaku , Thank very much for playing it and for this feedback!

The UI is really pretty confusing and i'm working on that. I'm thinking of making a simpler hud, combined with an progressive display.

For the Language Traduction, i already has a base script - wich gave me less work, 'cause i only need to translate.

Regarding the models, music and polishment, i did from absolute zero and, as you mentioned, the UI gave me a lot of work and time to do - but as this is my second time at LD, i'm learning a lot from my mistakes and for the next one, maybe i'll do a smaller game, but better polished. haha.

I totally understand your point in this feedback, and i'm greatful for all the tips. I'll do my best to bring a better experience for you in later updates. ๐Ÿ˜€

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-03T19:05:48Z

@vladadamm , Thanks for playing it and for this feedback. I see that you participated a lot of jams, and i'm grateful for you share your experience with me.

All of the coments here are helping me to figure what i did wrong so i can learn from my mistakes, and i really appretiate that.

I noted all you said here and will carry this knoledge allong my journey. Thank you!

@vladadamm , @michaelyount , @leonardo-coyado , @dobrila All i can say is thank you guys, and i will do my best to bring a even better experience for you in the next jam.

In meanwhile, i'm planning and taking notes of what to do for the next post-jam versions of this game, based on all you guys are telling me. Wish you all the best.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-04T20:35:52Z

@pxldev , Thanks for playing it! I hope that this "laggy" doesn't has overcome the mood of the game for you, maybe it's a lack of optimization at the engine tha i used. Really don't know what happened.

------

@digital-bacon , Thanks for playing it! I'am sad to say, but you're not the only one who doesn't understood 100% of the game - and it's totally my fault! haha. I'am planning the next updates to bring you guys a better experience.

------

@fabula-rasa Thank you for playing it and for this great feedback.

Have to say, you guys are sharing with me a lot of nice tips, and i'm keep notes in order to implement these for the next updates. These have a huge value for me - feedbacks - and i'm really greatful for that!

------

@rambo-dangles , Thanks for playing it!

------

@smilewood , Thanks for playing it and for this great feedback! I think that everyone here agree that the UI i did is pretty confusing, and i guess it is gonna be the major problem that i want to resolve first.

To have the "water tanks" filled doesn't mean that sub will go down - that is represented by the max weight. If you has upgrade the hull, it becames lighter and, even if your "tanks" are filled, if your weight is "gray color" the sub will not go down. For that, your sub must be heavier (Red Color Weigth). But you gave me an idea, that someonee already told me about "inertia" movement of the sub. I'll better plan that how the sub reacts.

Indeed, that is some things that doesn't affect the game at all, at least for now, like the "crew capacity" - that is something that i thinked to implement, but as you see, i didn't have time to do lots of things that i planned to.

That said, i really appreciate your feedback and will do my best to give you a better experience at the future updates - and, of course, for the next jam. Thank you very much!

------

@pedro-henrique-cesar , Thanks a lot for playing it! The UI is really pretty confusing, and the controls confusing could happened 'cause of change of views, i'm thinking on how can i improve that, and thanks for point that to me.

Quick correction here, you said "guys" but i did this game by my own - and, unfortunatly, didn't have much time to make it "complete". That's my 2nd time at Ludum Dare, and i'm really greatful for all the feedbacks you guys are telling me. I'm learning a lot, and i'll do my best to bring you a better experience in the future!

Trauma Elevator by Leonardo Coyado 2021-05-03T03:15:05Z

Very fun game! You have a nice touch to the narrative, the sounds are cool and I loved the art style - It kind gave me some sort of "pokรฉmon" twisted vibes in that elevator. Great work!

Mafioso Incognito by pokii 2021-05-02T17:50:34Z

Really cool! The music was an excellent choice, the blood animation, cards as health, and all the concept and mood of this game are amazing.

In the other hand, i think that the art itself could be improved - and not because is in pixel, but 'cause kinda gets confusing with all the carpets colors to see the enemies.

But in overall, it's just a detail compared with the whole game...i really enjoyed my time playing it. Great work!

Void by mrosegreen 2021-05-02T17:38:43Z

Where is my aircraft? haha. Didn't expect that. I liked the concept of turning "darker" as "deeper", but if you want to take this long in the dark, maybe it could be a powerfull add if you put some tiny light above the aircraft - or a power up, idk.

Great music choice, by the way! Reminds me a mix of "Tron" and an old "aircraft game" that i used to play, wich i loved.

I really enjoyed my time playing it. Wish you the best.

Spooky Woods by Harrison Gottlieb 2021-05-04T03:30:47Z

I loved the art style and atmosphere that this game brings. The gameplay is cool, but it gets a little tricky when several keys must be pressed almost instantly. But it was really fun playing it. Great work!

Goblin's Cave by Heine Hohenhart 2021-05-03T20:46:33Z

Really great both the mood and concept. The sounds are nice and i quite loved the art style.

What i thought amazing was the way you mine gems, really unic - you can even implement the puzzles later on, wich is incredible 'cause you can scalate the game.

The only minor thing that i didn't like very much, was the character movement - is too slow in my opinion. Despite that, is a amazing game. Great work!

Depth of Death by KenForest 2021-05-02T20:00:24Z

What a immersive game! I loved the concept, and the idea to bring us to find leviatรฃ, mechanics are simple - kinda miss a inventory - but the game itself is great! Amazing work.

Don't Go Deep by Barisc 2021-05-04T18:28:52Z

I had some difficulties on knowing what to do, as unfortunately i died several times and still don't know why.

The background art style i liked very much, and has an interesting concept and mechanics - if you give the players some feedback about whats going on, and add sounds, i'm sure it will becames a really cool game! Great work and wish you the best.

Go to the Abyss by Felipe Felix 2021-05-04T17:27:04Z

A short, yet amusing experience. I loved the songs, nice feedback and music. I had to play a second time, 'cause didn't realize the attack keys at first - "F" should be more intuitive, for example. Or "Left Click".

The level design for the other hand is great! When i discovered how to kill the spiders, kinda felt the necessity to keep playing - and that is awesome, 'cause gives you a lot of space to improve the game. Here's what cames trough my mind:

- More levels and maybe a boss. - a better polishment on the art - A nice set up of skills and a inventory, wich you could use different kinds of wepons.

For the short time we have, i found that a incredible entry! It's a fun game, that propitiate a nice atmosphere and already has a great level design. Has lots of potencial to became a outsdanding platformer RPG. Great work!

Short, but a wonderful game. I really liked the soundtrack! The art and the overall concept, from the credits to the game, is excellent.

Note: That rabbit is a reference for donny darko? See him standing on bed kinda reminds me the movie haha. I liked that very much too!

I wonder how much dense this game could be with a little more time of development. Great work!

Really amazing game! I couldn't stop playing till i find out haha.

I had problems with the web version, and took me a while to notice how to pick objects. No problem with the downloadable version though.

The athmosphere, idea, graphics and sound, all makes sense in this game. Great work!

Really spent some time in this game, it's kinda addicting haha. Loved it!

The idea is amazing - the mechanic of taking pictures, combined with survival mechanics...incredible! I missed the soundtrack, and at least for me, the game has no sound at all. that's a little sad.

Despite that, i played and enjoyed every minute. I liked very much and i will waiting ansiously for an update. I wonder how that game would be if you had more time to do it. Great work!

Low Notes by mhorth 2021-05-03T21:29:37Z

What a amazing experience! Loved what you did with the tones - but you see, i don't have much ability to match 100% of the music, but it was really fun to try it! Great work.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-04-29T00:25:10Z

This game is beautiful and reminds me "ori" - a game that i like very much. i became a little upset for no soundtrack at all, but the game is simple, intuitive, and has a little story.

Sometimes the frame rate droped a little - and for some enemies, was impossible for me do not get damage.

but that said, would like very much to play un update if you mean to do it. My best regards and congrats on the good work.

System.Override by Arctiform LLC 2021-05-05T18:28:01Z

I loved the art style, and overall sounds. The atmosphere is deep, which fits theme, and the character looks like 'Bob' - i really liked and matches mechanics.

The only thing that i didn't like very much is the font - don't really understand much, 'cause it's too bluried. It probably was the major problem that made i can't reeally understand what to do in it.

Despite that, i really enjoyed the game and i hope that you continue working on this project. Great work!

A Dungeon by PxlDev 2021-05-04T18:46:01Z

I liked very much this game! Excellent music, art and intuitive mechanics.

The only minor thing that i think you could add is a tiny control of the camera - as it becames impossible to see what is beneath, and i died several times 'cause of that haha.

In overall, i almost couldn't stop playing it. It's catchy, and kinda reminded me the oldest version of "prince of persia" - with this art-style.

I loved it. Great work and i wish you the best.

DAYDREAM by JohannAlfeu 2021-05-06T19:17:27Z

Great game! The first time I played it, I didn't realize what kind of concept you were trying to bring here. But then, to my surprise, I discovered a really profound game.

mementum_mori.gif

The characters are well made, I liked the design levels and the story ... oh, man. Simply incredible.

There are only two things I want to mention, which is the "Glide" mechanic, which is not so clear that we have to keep pressing the "x" key repeatedly to work properly - I don't know if that is your real goal. I liked it, but it took me a while to understand.

Another thing I want to highlight is that the music started playing only when I finish (or die, I don't know haha) the game. The music itself is incredible, really! But I would like to hear it throughout the game, and not just at the end.

With that said, I really loved this game. It has a lot of potential to become bigger. Great work!

WINCH by Gorialis 2021-04-30T01:34:26Z

Dangerous Depths by Mololo 2021-04-28T07:24:21Z

Simple, clean and really fun! The tutorial is beautiful, as so it is the game itself.

Mechanics are simple to get, and i don't know if has a end, but i couldn't pass the 4k. Nice toutch with the small light on player, by the way!

Really nice game! I spent a time playing it, try to figure out how things work, and i have to say that it's really too dark! That and the lack of music were the major problems in my opinion.

But the concept and the game in general is pretty good, congrats on this and keep up the great work, would love to play an update soon.

Cave In by FireFart 2021-05-05T18:03:23Z

Great and really enjoyable experience. The game has a retro atmosphere, that comes from music, art and gameplay combined. Really liked that, and i can imagine how much effort you put in this - as your first time at LD.

That said, i would like to point some things that i think could help you, like:

- you could explore more of that mechanic. It's a great ideia, and kinds of remember some other games - but have a unique touch. That's great!

- It is really too short. You can scalate the game by adding some levels, some skills and a nice inventory. That could give a lot of weigth to your project.

- As the game itself, the music loop is nice - but too short. That makes the music a little repetitive - with just a few more seconds, and it will get really cool.

That said, it's a really cool and fun game, has a lot of potencial and i hope you continue on working at this project. Wish you the best!

"Deep" Thoughts by Sevit 2021-04-28T06:34:02Z

Really nice game, well polished and with a minimalistic yet powerful idea.

I had a great time playing it, and it is indeed relaxing - maybe to much for me, but i liked it either way.

As @minibetrayal said, the tutorial scene doesn't seen to work. And could be a nice idea to get "deeper" in that concept, bringing more chalenges maybe, like words that affect our psycological in a bad way, give a penality or so. Otherwise if you use "nicer" or "smart" words, a bรดnus.

I don't know, that was just an idea tha came up while i was playing the game. In overall, i really like! It is a great game and didn't find any "bugs" with the exception of "tutorial". Congrats.

Cavernicus by Rashcan 2021-04-30T03:51:29Z

Amazing atmosphere. with two ways of playing.

in a polite way, i tried first to throw the light sticks and go from platform to platform. Obviously, there are no sufficient light sticks to throw - and the claustrophobic atmosphere gets really intense...i loved it!

The second - and fun - way it's just play as @mlho7 said - a "deeper" racing and crazy game.

In any way, the game is amazing! Great atmosphere and mood, simple to get what to do and yet pretty chalenging.

DEPTHS by taikinaaa 2021-05-01T19:44:41Z

Amazing concept and atmosphere, with a nice palette of colors and great sounds - makes your art-style unique for me.

Really enjoyed this game, and if i have to point some issue, must say that the movement speed gets annoying really quickly. But in overall, it's an exceletn game. Great work!

deepBreath.gif What a beautiful game, in all aspects!

What a unique way to bring up the theme, with nice mechanics, well explained, incredible graphics and a lot of heart! One of the most valuable experiences I had in this gameJam.

Thank you guys for making this great game, and share it with us.
