This was a really interesting story with great visuals! I enjoyed it a lot.
This game was brilliant. It literally felt like I was exploring someone's mind or memories, illuminating pathways. It was so surreal and immersive!
Interesting! I enjoyed the time warp effects when you found each key.
Very stylized and artistic. It feels like you're exploring someone else's insecurities and I really like that aspect. I wish the puzzles had more depth to them, but otherwise a very solid aesthetic entry.
I really love the mood of lighting up a dark forest with the street lights. Design wise it's perfect for letting the player explore without the feeling of being lost. Something very hard to do in a jam game but you nailed it.
First of all, with 100 DPI you can play at highest sensitivity. I had no sound with the main volume at 50%, no idea if there would be any at maximum volume.
The lighting mood is very nice, but the dark parts between the lamps were just black. The puzzles were the same in each of the three runs, which probably belongs to the theme, and in the end the closet was empty :(
Will there be a web version?
I'd like to see a bit more on the puzzles, to balance with the walking between them, but other than that, pretty much awesome, the atmosphere was amazing and the effect when you wandered in the forest or got the key was pretty neat, nice job there!
@oxropy I think it wont be any web version... But anyway thanks for feedback! I don`t know why you had thouse problems, but hope u liked the atmosphere!
Pretty good. I felt the repetitiveness in the third run, but I guess that's part of the story. Visibility was a bit problematic. The first few minutes I wandered around not quite figuring out where to go, because I didn't actually see the lanterns.
Simple voice over for the messages would have been nice and simple foliage / environment sounds would have been nice.
Pretty much aesthetical and conceptual!
The puzzles was a little too simple for my taste, but I really loved the mood of the game!
This is a super simple and okay little puzzle game. I overall liked the story and the games atmosphere. I wish there was a bit more sound and perhaps some music. Overall a fine little jam game.
Amazing game, really enjoyed it
Amazing atmosphere. I was really captivated by the sound and wanted to see where the story was going. Unfortunately the alternate ending was really long and boring to get to though I appreciate the "loop" theme. Then the text disappeared when I was only half-done reading it.
Here's the ending I'd like to see. You wake up after the final safe and there's a flashlight on the table. This time, you are immune to the darkness and can break your routine. When you find the keys, you collect them instead of being rewound to the house. Then you take them to open the cabinet without nearly as much walking.
Overall very nice game. Congrats!
The rewind effect when you wander too far from the light or grab the keys is really cool! Not sure I see what "devoured" has to do with the game, but I only got one of the endings. In the jam version, the rightmost safe (the mirror?) and the cabinet are empty, so perhaps I'm missing some context for the title. Nice game!
Had just a little problem with the camera sens, but in spite of that, it is a very nice game. Looking forward to play the post-jam version. Congrats!
I really enjoyed the mood, which came mostly from the visuals, the way the lamps lit up and the sounds! I opened one of the three boxes (the right-most one), but then I found nothing more to interact with, the other two cottages that didn't give a key, I had already visisted and had no interactions left in them. The pull-back effect was really neat!
I had some trouble understanding the puzzles. Then I guess I got the bad ending. A bit too repetitive for my taste. I liked the graphics and the audio though ! Good job
This is great entry! Super moody, looks and sounds wonderful, and a really subtle and poignant narrative. I think there might be a memory leak as performance got a lot worse as I went on.
