Interesting and ambitious concept. Good job! But there were simply too many things you could tweak which made it difficult to understand what's going on. You could have had a simpler version for the jam and this version as a full game. Great game!
Nice platformer. Ties in well with the theme. Few suggestions: 1. Upload a better cover image. 2. The art is inconsistent. Some places i see dark sharp lines whereas some places i see pixel art. For instance the lab background looked better than the forest background. 3. The spikes do not affect health.

Love the pixel art. I can hold "x" and i get a machine gun sort of effect. If that is not intended you can change it in your next update. Lol i too made a game with the virus as the central idea XD

One thing though, some of the art assets were very pixelated(eg: cacti and rocks). If that was style you were going for, then it should have been consistent. But except that everything else was perfect! Glad I found this game. It was almost I was watching a movie. Great sound design.
