Nice platformer. Ties in well with the theme. Few suggestions: 1. Upload a better cover image. 2. The art is inconsistent. Some places i see dark sharp lines whereas some places i see pixel art. For instance the lab background looked better than the forest background. 3. The spikes do not affect health.
It's a good try and i am sure u will improve in the future
Happy creating!
What a great platformer. Controls are pretty crisp & didn't have any glitches or anything. Artstyle is very nice, and you can definitly feel like someone put effort into it. Overall, great game!

Cute art :)
That was a quick sit. The art and music were the standout points (although I think the outlines on the blue brick platforms in the second stage look quite unnatural against the setting. UI could use a bit of love, or at least a different font, but overall, it was clear what the game was trying to go for.
I like that the game had a simple story that worked for the theme. It would have been interesting to read the notes that the father left behind as a way to progress the story in between levels. It just kind of feels like nothing much happens until the very end.
The levels were pretty well designed for what could be achieved in 72 hours; I liked the bit with the descending onto the crumbling blocks, it's a shame the spikes don't actually hurt you but I guess that actually made it good for me to not be annoyed by them. :joy: I didn't quite understand how the attack and collection system worked, and it wasn't really clear what the items were and what to do with them. Also, Ctrl and Alt keys aren't really a great fit for a control scheme, especially the Alt key, which just causes the game to lose focus when played in a browser. I would highly recommend sticking with one of the letter keys, even the spacebar.
Other than that, the game had a solid premise for a narrative platform adventure. Nice work.
Nice game, it was fun had cute art and a nice little story!

it was a nice platformer with cute art, the controls are a bit floaty though
Nice little game. The story is interesting and it has a great variety of enemies. Some of their mechanics are pretty fun. I just think that the stone throwing should be more precise and the jump of the player character is sometimes too high (is this intentional?). Overall, good job!
I enjoyed this platformer, it has a story and different enemies that required timing to attack or defend. My only feedback is regarding controls. The J,K keys felt apart, maybe setup (AWSD + Q+E) or (Arrows + SHIFT+ Enter/space). Still nice game!

A nice little platformer. It was a little confusing that you take damage from jumping on top of the spider and the pigs, while you kill other things by jumping on them.
A short, yet amusing experience. I loved the songs, nice feedback and music. I had to play a second time, 'cause didn't realize the attack keys at first - "F" should be more intuitive, for example. Or "Left Click".
The level design for the other hand is great! When i discovered how to kill the spiders, kinda felt the necessity to keep playing - and that is awesome, 'cause gives you a lot of space to improve the game. Here's what cames trough my mind:
- More levels and maybe a boss. - a better polishment on the art - A nice set up of skills and a inventory, wich you could use different kinds of wepons.
For the short time we have, i found that a incredible entry! It's a fun game, that propitiate a nice atmosphere and already has a great level design. Has lots of potencial to became a outsdanding platformer RPG. Great work!
theend.png After I reached the end I discovered that I could attack using J and K. It was easy to win that way, I didn't play again after discovering that, but I believe it would be even easier. Controls are a little inaccurate, but the game is cool. Good job.

The pixel art is really cool, especially the character. The levels are beautiful too except maybe the second one that is a bit under in terms of esthetic. Maybe it needs a few variations of blocks to break the repetitiveness.
The platforming gameplay is fine, the player controls work well but there seems to be some inaccuracy with collisions at times, maybe hitboxes are a bit too big sometimes. Overall that's a pretty cool jam game ! you can be proud of what you made :)

Fun little game, the graphics are good and the music fits perfectly. I like the stones and the plank as weapons and the fact that you don't get them unless you found them.
Overall a good game, good job.
Good entry! There is a good amount of variety, like environments and enemies. Some of the hit boxes are weird, like I was getting hit by things that didn't look like hits.
The artwork is cute, but some thing could be a little improved. Like the cave background's background it a little bit bright, and kind clashes with the foreground. When the stage loaded I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I think a darker BG would help a lot;

One of the first things that caught me was how the player seems to float as they walk. It may seem like a small thing, but stuff like this really sticks out to me, and it should be an easy fix that will help keep people immersed.

I also noticed you DID work on a keyframe sprite for jumping and falling, but it only shows if there's no horizontal movement.
I like some of the level design ideas, and some were troublesome. The spiders on the first stage NEED to be killed, because if you try to sneak passed them, you end up stuck under the 2nd one and the wall. Trying to jump on them doesn't work like I thought it would.
I especially liked the area where the platforms break down the chamber with alternating spike sections. That was a well done and fun section.
Overall this is a good, playable entry. There's a beginning, middle, and end, and doesn't over frustrate along the way.
Good job!

Very good content and level design! Well done creating all these levels, it was fun. Could be more polished, but seems like you went for quantity rather than quality. Appreciated the story, was quite intriguing to discover it. Great job!
A funny little platformer with good potential. The "attack" has some delay and hit boxes a bit loose, but I like the graphics, level design and the story.

It was funny. I love sprite of main character.
Nice solid controls! I liked the enemy mechanics and the player's attack mechanics. Nice variety overall in locations and enemy types, must have taken a lot of work! Also liked the retro style. Also good work on the story! I would only say that the art styles in certain settings seemed to conflict a little. Very nice!
The graphics were good. I liked the music and the retro style of the game. I think music fits great with the mood of the game. It would be great if you could have added a few sfx to support the gameplay.
Overall, a good entry.
Some rounded corners could help with the cave design for the edges. I would suggest some different placement for the attack keys - A/X or similar left-side combos when using spacebar for jumping would feel more natural.

Had some issues with the controls, but otherwise a fun game. The level design provided some interesting challenges, and I liked the art style. Good job!
