That was pretty fun and I think it has a lot of potential. The air movement was a little too slow and I think you should die immediately when you hit the side (you can't get enough momentum to get back into the dropping part so you just keep dropping and losing hearts). Honestly the art and music was really awesome tho!

danceswe 2021-04-27 15:42

You delivered what you promised - very psychedelic.

tengusheath 2021-04-28 06:04

This was a very trippy experience. Everyone needs to check this out. Nice job

jacobrutter 2021-04-28 06:06

Would love to play your game if there is a mac or webGL build in the future please let me know.

volkolak 2021-04-28 06:14

Wow, that was really trippy in a good way, well done! Also found a small miscalculation, I guess. At some point I went beyond the pipe and fell to the side.

Certainly as advertised, I liked the shifting textures and strange geometry. It was pretty easy to sneak outside of the main tunnel and cheat my way to a victory; on the other hand it felt basically impossible to survive if I didn't avoid most of the obstacles rather than weave my way through them. Reminiscent of the game "AaAaaAA!!!" in a fun way.

My eyes kinda hurt after that haha. Might want to have a photosensitivity warning somewhere. The movement was a bit hard to control since you move fairly slow while falling. The sprint button didn't seem to work while going fast and that probably would have made it a bit easier. The game was certainly trippy and psychedelic and I definitely didn't expect that ending which I thought was pretty cool. Overall the game was enjoyable and the trippy-ness is dialed up to 11.

michaelyount 2021-04-28 12:38

Super trippy, like minecraft on shrooms.lol, Thanks for your game.

devparty 2021-04-28 12:42

I should probably go outside now.

jajo 2021-04-28 12:43

it hurts so good. as much fun as it was playing the intended way, getting out of bounds was also quite cool. although I will say that falling on one of the edges was a bit of a death sentence.

jasontherand 2021-04-28 12:47

Took me 3 tries, but I was able to win. Once I found the sprint key it was much more doable, but still difficult. I appreciate the story that went this, it was small, but enough to really make a difference. I was expecting to get motion sick going into this, but it wasnt bad actually. You did a good job of making it pretty to look at without the shapes making you sick. Nice job!

humphreysmedia 2021-04-28 15:48

What a visually appealing game! I wasn't able to get to the end, but it was still fun nonetheless and very addictive!I would've loved to have more control in the air as I felt it was a little slow, but still great fun nonetheless! Great job!

6smith 2021-04-29 03:05

unique entry! really liked the style. i wish it was a little longer! i also would've liked not to have to stop so suddenly when hitting an obstacle, maybe instead of colliding and having to walk off it you could just lose your momentum but then keep falling? good job all!

saltfactory-studio 2021-04-29 05:35

@danceswe @tengusheath @michaelyount Thank you guys, we're glad y'all like it.

@ndhr-productions @ruddgasm @humphreysmedia @6smith We noticed that the movement can be a bit too slow for the speed the player is falling, and we wish we had the time to refine it better. The collision was also a bit off due to how fast the player is falling downward, but we're glad it didn't ruin the whole experiences. Thanks for playing!

advay 2021-04-29 07:24

Loved the game! Unique Art!

steinuil 2021-04-29 16:39

Absolutely love the art! I also found the air movement a bit too sluggish but managed to beat it on the second try. Thanks Todd :^)

mololo 2021-04-30 09:50

It felt a bit slow to move in the air, and the loss of momentum didnt help it, but its a cool game and I enjoyed it.

Good job.

aaronacus 2021-05-01 00:20

Love the psychdelic art, the mix with the music is excesive but funny hahaha Nice entry, good trippy stuff

kripakov 2021-05-02 14:04

Cool entry! Very interesting graphics, the first moment of the fall turned out to be very effective. It is certainly difficult to play for a long time, it starts to get a little rocking, some pause moments are needed for the player, or it is possible to slow down time. The controls are pretty tight, and without the ability to slow down, it can sometimes be hard not to crash. But overall it turned out great, good work!

hexa3 2021-05-04 10:13

Liked the psychedelic art and the color palette used. Nice idea. The further you go the harder it becomes to control.

bbaf 2021-05-06 13:53

Art and shaders are awesome, had a lot of fun playing it.

Only a few small suggestions from my side: - It would be great to add some Trigger or Collider box outside the main hole. I easily manage to beat the whole game simply falling along outside the obstacles. - Damage registration. If you land on some obstacle, every small jump will deduct your health points. It would be more convenient to register such damage only when you have been falling for some time before.

Nevertheless, I am a huge fan of such generative art, and for me, it's one of the most stylized games on the jam so far. Good luck with the future updates!

joe40001 2021-05-18 09:24

It's pretty easy to clip out at the very beginning and cheese the whole game. Also it was pretty laggy for me. Even so it was an innovative idea and very innovative visuals. I do think the player fall speed should be something that gets maxed as opposed to constant acceleration. Also the art for the hearts didn't quite work with the style, and I'm not exactly sure what you were going for with the ending. Still I really liked the idea and the visuals. Well done.

saltfactory-studio 2021-05-18 18:45

@steinuil @mololo @kripakov @joe40001 Thank you for your feedbacks. Looking back we probably should have spent some more time polishing player movement. Nevertheless, we hope it didn't ruin the experience of the game. Glad y'all enjoy it.

@advay @aaronacus @hexa3 @bbaf Thank you, we really love the way the game look, and didn't expect it to look this cool when we were brainstorming ideas.
