Nice little game :)
This game made me think it would end up as a horror game at one point, but it turned it around in a really sweet way. I like it! Well done!
Interestly used graphics with fitting music I only wish player speed would be higher
Got to the dark room with the boxes and spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out what to do without any luck.
@cameron-paxton you should find a switch and click to it to turn on the light. It's bigger than any other objects in the game so it's not very diffucult to do.
I feel like this keeps happening to me, but once again, I was always moving up. Luckily if I pressed down, the player was able to move down, but it was strange. (no, my w key is not pressed down. Which is why I'm able to type w's normally.) I liked the music, but the first two sections were way too short to actually hear all of it. The game is cool! Also, what is this lol? @studio-gomp It's an Easter egg. Sort of local joke
Interesting idea of having the two types of interactable objects, sort of allowing the player to decide how much of the narrative to explore as each depth. But with the slowness of movement, I would not go hunt for more white backgrounds if I found the red one early. So I think the charcter controls were problematic for that reason. Also the sprite had very little direction visually and since one can move equally fast in any direction it didn't feel much like a human walking to me. I associate the control scheme with games wher you have to navigate around while shooting in all directions at the same time, but your game really didn't need that so perhaps controls where the character walked in the direction of the mouse would have been enough.
What a unic game! The way that theme was insert makes it such an exceptional, with great music and a art-style that i loved. The mechanics i think should be better polished, but despite that, is a amazing game. Great work!
Nice little story, but movement was kinda too slow.
I agree that while moving was a bit sluggish, everything else was pretty interesting
An interesting little game! I liked how the story slowly unfolded with a drip feeding of narrative. The walking was quite slow and the puzzle to turn the light switch on felt frustrating. The music was good and fit the mood though!
